[00:00:22] And welcome to episode 616 of the Pittsburgh Nerd Podcast. I'm Sean. I'm Ian, and this is the only podcast that says... It's time for Storytime with Uncle Sean. Mm-hmm. Yeah. So, many, many years ago, when I was a drunk, and everybody knows I worked in the restaurant industry. We've discussed it. I worked for Eden Park. And I had a manager named Rick. Rick was a local boy. He was from McKeesport.
[00:00:52] And, you know, we became friends because Rick liked the booze. I liked the booze. Yeah. Rick was married. He had two kids. You know, but he'd invite me over to his house. We'd watch a hockey game, hang out, get drunk. Well, one night his wife was out. He invited me over, and we were watching a game, and he broke out a cigar. Okay.
[00:01:17] And he's like, you want to smoke a cigar? Like, I've never smoked a cigar before. And he's explaining the rules to it. Then he realized he doesn't have a lighter. Okay. So, we go in the kitchen. Oh, shit. And he fires up the gas stove, and he bends over, and he gets himself this cigar lid, and he tells me to do the same thing. Now, the thing you have to understand, at this point in my life, I had long hair that I had not cut for several years. Mm-hmm.
[00:01:45] So, it was long, not only in the back, but also in the front. So, I bend over to light said cigar when Rick yells, whoa, whoa, whoa, man, get back, get back. I had caught my hair on fire. Nice. Yes. So, I had this, like, patch of hair that, like, burned away in the front of my face. So, anyway. And created the widow's peak. Yes, and created my widow's peak.
[00:02:14] But that was the kind of thing, like, me and Rick did, and I found out this week Rick passed away. Really? Yeah. Yeah. And so, I wanted to remember him a little bit with that stupid little story. Oh, that's a shame. Sorry. Yeah. No, thank you. He was the type of guy, like, I hadn't talked to him in years. I'd bump into him at Giant Eagle. We'd talk for 10 minutes. Yeah. You know, I'd bump into him at, you know, Dollar General. We'd talk for 10 minutes. You know, hadn't seen him in a couple years. There he was at, you know. Yeah. Hey, how you doing, Sean? Good. You know.
[00:02:45] Nice. I think he met him. He was part of the fantasy football. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So. So, yeah. So, my condolences to his family, and kind of bummed me out a little bit. Yeah. But, how are you? I'm good. Good. Yeah. Yeah. Hanging in there. Yeah. Survived the storm again. Oh, my goodness. That was crazy.
[00:03:16] Like, my dumb ass, I'm at work. You know, up in my office at work. Like, I'm like, yeah, it's raining pretty hard. I'm not realizing, you know. Yeah. And, like, my phone's going off. I'm getting all these alerts. My watch is telling me, like, you know, you need to take shelter. I'm like, ah, fine. Yeah. Yeah. Didn't affect me in any way. Huh? Didn't affect me in any way.
[00:03:45] Like, I know a lot of people lost power. Like, they were talking, like, you know, there's still, there are still areas of Allegheny County and the surrounding areas that are without power. Yeah. Crazy. I don't know. Did it hit bad in White Oak? Um, I mean, I know there were some people in White Oak who said they didn't have power, but it wasn't anywhere near me. I mean, did you experience that wind flush for about 10 minutes? Yeah. Yeah. Did it blow anything around in your yard? Yeah. Yeah.
[00:04:15] The, um, Nancy has that umbrella, like, you know, that I don't even know why she fucking has. Like, you know, it's already a shaded area, but, you know. Yeah. But, um, that was knocked over. There were a couple of, um, pots that were knocked over. One broke. Yeah. But, uh, no, but nothing, like, serious. Like, you know, there was nothing that, like, blew off the house or anything. Right. Um, I have had that happen at that house.
[00:04:42] I know the one year we had a really bad storm and it blew some shingles off the roof. Oh, did it? Yeah. And, uh, but no, not nothing. Nothing of that caliber? No. I don't know, man. That was crazy. It was almost, um, it was very reminiscent of, like, Category 1 hurricane. Yeah. That's the only way I can really describe it.
[00:05:11] Um, with the winds. Yeah. Because they, supposedly they were just straight winds. I don't necessarily believe that. I think there were straight winds. I think there was a straight wind line. Yeah. But I think there was a couple tornadoes that they always, I don't know why they always, like, deny that. They always deny that they're, they denied the, the tornado and the Kenny one forever. Oh, yeah. They would not admit that that was a tornado. No. I'm like, there must be some kind of insurance thing. It had to have been. Yeah.
[00:05:40] Because they will not admit, like, they will not, not admit shit like that. Yeah. Like, for those who don't know, like many years ago, like, I'd say 20, 20 plus years ago. Yeah. There was, I mean, it was a extremely violent storm and it, like, the center of it was, like, at Kennywood Park. And it, like, destroyed, like, a couple of, like, buildings. Like, the one ride, a whip. Killed a guy. Killed a guy. Like, because people were, like, taking shelter and the places they were taking shelter ended
[00:06:09] up getting destroyed. Yeah. You know? So, but, yeah, I mean, for years, like, it was, like, they're showing, like, shit twisted together. Yeah. Like, something that only a tornado could have done. But no, no, no, no, no. That was just a microburst. A microburst. Yeah. And we're like, get the fuck out of here. Microburst my ass. This was no microburst, man. Yeah.
[00:06:34] I hit the, I was, I was up at the waterworks out that way and I'd take the turnpike home. Yeah. And at the, you know, at Freeport Road, that, that turnpike exit, you take that exit, you come off and you're, you're on the, you're on the turnpike. Right. And a mile up the road from there, a mile, literally a mile up the road is a, is a rest area. Yeah. It's right off the, you know, it's right off the exit entrance to the turnpike.
[00:07:05] And, of course, I get out of work at five o'clock. Yeah. 4.30, five o'clock. Yeah. Um, the witching hour for this storm. Yeah. And I look to my, I look to my, uh, left or to my right. Cause you, you go, you go across a bridge and the river goes, it's a big bridge. Yeah.
[00:07:30] And, uh, I just saw this wall of wind and rain coming down the river valley. Yeah. I mean, at that point you're looking straight on and then there's a bend. Yeah. You can't see. And I just saw the front of it just coming down the river. I'm like, holy shit. I floored it. Yeah. Barely made it to the, I mean, I made it to the rest stop, but it blew me around trying to get into just the rest stop. Yeah. Blowing the doors open. Yeah.
[00:08:00] But I was like, this is not a good time to drive. No, no. Not during this. I mean, like, like maybe it's the old man senses or something, but I was like, there's a lot of trees on this, on this turnpike. Yeah. And I'm not taking that risk. Yeah. Let's not roll those dice. No, it was crazy, man. It was crazy. Yeah. I'm just, I was shocked by the amount, you know what I mean? Of what was coming.
[00:08:29] Like it was funny. Like I, I think it was channel 11. Like they released like that footage, like in real time, like the storm just kind of like roll right in. Yeah. And the way it just like blasted Pittsburgh. Oh yeah. You know, and like, you could just see it like in, like you said, like, like in the river. Yeah. Like the, like, it's almost like it turned a river backwards. It was weird. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:08:56] Anyway, when I looked up to my right and I saw that, I was like, that ain't Pittsburgh. You know what I mean? Yeah. I, I was like, that is not a Pittsburgh storm. No. I've seen, I've seen stuff come down river and stuff like that, but that was like sheer winds, like a wall of wind. It was crazy. So I, I, you know, did the right thing by fucking pulling over because. Yeah.
[00:09:23] And I'm like sitting there, I get into the parking lot and I'm like, oh, that's bad. I was like, I don't want to get out of my car. Yeah. And then I started looking around me and I'm like, yeah, it's time to get out of your car. Yeah. It's just like things around. Yeah. Things are blowing. You know what I mean? Yeah. The last thing you need is have your car lifted. Yeah. Or just something falling on top of it. I think I was more worried about that. Yeah. Than anything else. But, uh, yeah, that was nuts, dude. The old Roy Rogers sign fall on your, uh, on your car.
[00:09:52] But I can honestly say, you know, like living here this long, I don't remember of a storm like that. No. Not like that. I mean, I've had some, we've had some pretty bad storms and tornado clouds and all that shit. You know what I mean? But I don't ever remember a storm of that magnitude with such a punch for only 15 minutes or like real rain. Yeah. You know what I'm saying? No, it was, it was very bizarre to kind of, you know, like I wasn't even looking out my window or anything.
[00:10:21] I was, you know, just to experience the way I experienced it was like, you could just like feel it. Oh, it was incredible. It was incredible. Yeah. Yeah. Oh, that was crazy. I'm still astonished by that storm. Yeah. And it just reminded, it just, it reminded me of the South, you know? Yeah. Yeah, exactly. It was like. Something you see coming off of the, uh, the Gulf, not, uh. Yeah. It was crazy.
[00:10:50] Not the Monongah Hill or River. I can't get over how bad that was. Yeah. But, I don't know. I still can't believe how bad that was. Anyway. And the deaths associated with it. Yeah. Anyway, we'll go on there. Speaking of, I'm always fascinated. I've always been fascinated by people who work at like Turnpike rest stops. Well, okay.
[00:11:20] Like, I, cause it, it's like that one that you're talking about, it's still in a well-populated area. Yeah. But it's like, like, how do you get that job? Like, you know, cause one thing to be like, okay, I'm, I'm going to go get a job at Arby's. Right. You know, there's an Arby's right down the road from me. I'm going to put my application there. Or Wendy's. Like, what is the process where like, you like say like, well, I'm going to work at that,
[00:11:47] you know, Popeyes at the rest stop. Like how, what's the process like to get. Cause I know like they park in back, like, like there's an area, like it's not like they're coming onto the, when I was a kid, I was like, well, wow, I'm going to suck. They have to like pay to like go on the Turnpike or maybe they've got a car that they flash that they don't have to pay. Yeah. That seems very weird. Like, you know, but like now I realize that, you know, they park in the back and like
[00:12:16] it's all fenced off and stuff. But like, still it's like, what is that process for you to say? Yeah. I'm, I'm working at that rest stop. Yeah. You know, like it's just, cause it's never like young people working there. Like, it's always like, like that's somebody who's been there for 20 years. Yeah. Yeah. You know, that's somebody who's like, they've seen things, you know?
[00:12:46] Well, isn't it, it's a state job though. Right. I don't know if it is or not. Yeah. That's what I was thinking. Like, that's the thing. Like, are you, are you an employee of the state or are you an employee of like the restaurant? Right. The chain, like, or, you know, the franchise. Yeah. I always thought maybe you're an employee of the state and that's why people wanted to get the job. Like working at the liquor store. Maybe. That's a, you know. You know what I mean? Yeah.
[00:13:15] And if it's a state job, then it's a pretty good state job. I mean, not great, but state jobs usually pay. They have benefits. Yeah. Yeah. No, you're right. Like, I mean, that, that would make sense. Probably better than working at Walmart is what I'm saying. Oh, exactly. Yeah. I mean, anyway. And some of them are open 24 hours. Yeah. And some, and a lot of them are nice. I mean, they're not bad. Yeah.
[00:13:43] There's some shitty ones, but I mean, there's some nice ones too, especially in other states. Yeah. I've seen some really nice rest areas in other states versus. Yeah. You know what I mean? No, I agree. Like Pennsylvania ones are like, they're pretty shat. Like they've also been there like 70 years. Yeah. I get that. But. You know, like to go in there and do a million dollar renovation.
[00:14:14] For taking, for people taking million dollar shits. Yeah. But, um, where was I? I think I went out to Columbus. Uh-huh. And it might've been Pennsylvania. No, I think it was Ohio. I went out there and they'd said, you know where you wash your hands and shit? Yeah. And it was like, yeah, do not drink the water.
[00:14:44] I was like, I'm not going to drink the water out of the spigot. Then I thought about it, I was like, well, truckers come in and people come in and brush their teeth and stuff. Yeah. They're like, do not use this water to brush your teeth. Yeah. I'm like, is it safe for me to pee in here? And they're like, what the fuck is going on? Yeah. Nuclear waste happening? Wisteria or something? The G or diocese. Something. Yeah. But I just thought it was weird that they were like, yeah, you don't want to. You don't want to do that. Yeah. Like.
[00:15:15] And I thought about it, I was like, well, fuck, I'm not even washing my hands. Yeah. Yeah. I'm not washing my hands. If I can't drink the water. Yeah. I'll just go buy a bottle of water to use that. Yeah. Or just hand sanitizer. Yeah. I'm not going to sit there and. I'm not going to sit there. There's no way I'm going to wash my hands at something that you tell me I can't drink. Yeah. Yeah. What? The soap kills it? Yeah. I mean, the creek water is better than this. Yeah. Maybe that's the problem they're pulling it from the creek.
[00:15:45] I need a life straw. But it was bad. Yeah. It was shocking. Yeah. How bad that. It was scary. Yeah. You know what I mean? They were like, yeah, don't drink this water. I'm like. What about the water that splashes up, you know? Yeah. Yeah. Did something crawl up my pee while I was. It's kind of. Reducing.
[00:16:15] Yeah. You drink the water. You know what I mean? Dude, that little kiss of the splash. Mommy, my skin's burning. Yuck. Yeah. Yeah. It was bad. Ugh. Ugh. Ugh. Horrible. In fact, I just can't imagine what's in it. No. You know what I mean? Like, what is in it that is, like, terrorizing people or something?
[00:16:49] I mean. Ugh. Enough about that. Yeah. So. I told everybody last week, my dad gave me an Xbox One. Okay. This thing is pissing me the fuck off. Why? Ugh. I think what I have to do is I have to go and just reset at the factory settings and start from the beginning. Really? Yeah. Because it was my dad's. Okay? Okay.
[00:17:19] And it's got my dad's information, my sister's information, you know, my niece and nephew. Like, they were all, they all had, you know, accounts on this. Yeah. And, well, my dad gave me three games. He gave me Skyrim, which I already played, but, you know, I may play again at some point. Okay. Um, Fallout 4. Okay. And I can't remember what the, the third one was called State of Decay.
[00:17:49] Okay. Or something like that. I can't remember. But, um, so, like, the first thing I had to do, like, so I plugged the fucking thing in and it's like, you know, you have, like, a one gigabyte update. Oh, wow. You know, and this, like, took, like, 40 minutes. Yeah. Okay. Well, I'm going to install, you know, I've got, I'm going to play Fallout. So, you push that in. Okay, it's a disc. Yeah.
[00:18:17] And it's like, yeah, there's a, there's a 23 gigabyte update. Oh, God. That's going to be two fucking hours. Yeah. You know, so, then I had problems getting it to actually, like, load up for me. Okay. Like, all sorts of problems. This is ridiculous. And, uh, I finally got to play it. I played it, you know, a couple of times. And, um, I was out yesterday and I picked up, uh, Star Wars Fallen Order.
[00:18:47] Uh-huh. And, uh, Matt, the Mass Effect Legendary series. Okay. Like, all the first three Mass Effect games. Okay. I got them cheap. I think one was six bucks and one was nine bucks. Man, that's not bad. Yeah. So, yesterday I go and I pop in the Star Wars game. Uh-huh. And I was like, yeah, this is like a, a 20 gigabyte update. Motherfucker. Okay. Whatever.
[00:19:15] So, I can't get that fucker to load at all. It comes up with a message telling me it's taking too long to load. So, what I think I'm just going to do is I'm just going to go and I'm just going to wipe everything out. Yeah. Start from scratch. Yeah. You know, just, and log back into my, my gaming avatar or, or whatever, my gamer account that they forced me to create. Right. You know, and let's go from there. This is the Xbox One? Yeah. Like, one. Yeah.
[00:19:45] O-N-E. Okay. Yeah. And he's not playing it. No, he has an Xbox X. Oh, he bought the new one. Yeah. And my sister, I guess, got an Xbox X now. Okay. I think the one, he's had the X for a while. I think when he got the X, he gave her the one because she plays Fortnite. Okay. Yeah. Like, she does, I don't know. She's very big into that game.
[00:20:15] I'm not quite sure. Okay. Like, whatever. You know. Again, I don't understand it, so I can't judge it, but like. Yeah, I get it. Whatever it is she does, like, she's. Good at it. Yeah. Or popular or whatever. Like, she has friends and they all play together. Okay. Okay. I have no interest. Okay. You know. But anyway, so. So I think she was using that and she upgraded to the Xbox X as well.
[00:20:43] And so, you know, they're like, well, do you want this one? Uh-huh. And I'm like, yeah, sure. What the fuck? I mean, it's, you know. Yeah. It's a generation behind. The game should be cheap. Yeah. Yeah. You know. And my dad's like, well, you shouldn't need to buy games because he's like, I'll add you to my family and you'll have access to all the games I have. Uh-huh. I'm like, okay, great. Well, that's not fucking working. Okay. And I don't care. Like, I'm not trying to mooch off my dad. Yeah. You know what I mean?
[00:21:12] Like, I'm just at a point where it's like, I just want to play, you know, I just want to relax. I want to play a game for a couple hours and call it a night. Yeah. You know? And, you know, this is not. So, I think I just need to start, just wipe everything from the hard drive. Yeah. And start fresh. Maybe. Yeah. Maybe that would be better. Yeah. Yeah. But, like, last night, I just, like, not, it's like, no, 10 o'clock.
[00:21:39] Like, 10 o'clock last night, I'm like, eh, I'm going to load this up. I'm going to, you know. I had to wait for it to do its thing. And once it was done, I'm like, yeah, it's not letting me play. What the fuck? I restart it. Right. You know? And then it's like, yeah, it's taking too long to load. Like, what the fuck? Yeah. You know? That's kind of weird. Oh, it's annoying as fuck. It is.
[00:22:06] Like, I mean, and, like, I'm not an Xbox person anyway. I've always, like, I had an Xbox 360. Uh-huh. Only because it was, like, cheaper. Like, at the time, like, it was cheaper than a PlayStation 3. Okay. Yeah. Even used, it was cheaper. Yeah. You know? And so I bought that at the time. And then, like, when I started at Dish, I was there for a year.
[00:22:32] A guy, like, he's like, hey, I've got this PlayStation 3 I'm selling for 50 bucks. You want it? I'm like, yes. Yes, I do. You know? Yeah. And so, and that was, like, you know, because I wanted to play, like, um, I can't think of the name of it now. Anyway, there were games that were PlayStation exclusives that I really wanted to play. So I was like, oh, I can't wait. You know? But now, like, I'm back to an Xbox. Right.
[00:23:02] And since I know very, like, the place, like, when I had the 360, I really didn't, like, I didn't go online with it. Okay. Like, you know, I... Didn't... I wasn't, like, subscribing to, like, you know, their subscription service or anything. Like, I didn't do anything. Right, right. I just played games, you know? And, um, I just need to wipe everything off of this fucking thing, I think, because
[00:23:28] I think all of their shit's fucking everything up that I just want to do is basic. Yeah, yeah. You know? I'm done. You know? Yeah, like you have their storage on there. Yeah. Yeah. So I think that's when I go home tonight, that's when I be... Just wipe it clean? Yeah. Well, it should be enough for you. Right? Yeah. Yeah, like... Or what you want it for. Yeah. Like, I mean, there are games I want to play. I want to thank Luther.
[00:23:58] He recommended the Batman Arkham Trilogy. Uh-huh. Now, I have played Arkham Asylum, Arkham Origins, and Arkham City. Okay. I have not played Arkham Knight. Okay. So I want to play that. I don't know if that's included in the trilogy he was talking about, but I do want to play Arkham Knight. Um, like I said, these Star Wars games I wanted to play.
[00:24:28] Like, I remember you talked about it. I think Otter talked about it as well. Yeah. Um, so that really intrigues me. Um, Mass Effect Adromeda I wanted to play. Okay. Um, so there are a number of games that I didn't get to play because they were either Xbox exclusive or, more importantly, they were like the next step up. Okay. Like from...
[00:24:56] Like they weren't making it for the PlayStation 3. I see. You know what I mean? So... Hmm. So that has been my... My rage this week. Like, it's like every time I turn that fucking thing on, I'm just like... I'm just ready to toss it in the fucking river. Giving you the business. It is. Like, I'm just like, fuck you. PlayStation was so much simpler. Yeah, because you're a PlayStation kid. Yeah.
[00:25:27] Yeah, I mean, I went out of PlayStation 1, I had a PlayStation 2. Right. Then I, like... The PlayStation 3 was so fucking expensive. I was like, I can't afford that. I even used it was like... Ridiculous. Yeah. Like, it's... That is amazing to me. Like, a used PlayStation... Like, a PlayStation 4 right now. You know, Nancy has one technically. I have access to it right now. But a PlayStation 4 is like still super expensive. Like, there was a time where like... You reached a point, they were like a hundred bucks. Yeah. Like, that doesn't happen anymore. No.
[00:25:57] You know, no. Like, so... It's... It's frustrating. I even thought about like buying a Switch. Isn't that fun? Yeah. Because there were games you could play on the Switch, but like... There's not enough. Like, I'm just not a Nintendo fanboy at all. Yeah. Like, I was not a Nintendo kid. Yeah. Like, I went from the Atari to the Commodore 64 to Sega Genesis. Yeah.
[00:26:28] You know? Yeah. And then Sega CD and then Sega... Whatever. The one after that was... I got pissed at Sega because they kept like... Yeah, we're just preaching to the new console. They were giving up on consoles quick. Really? Yeah. Like... It was like frustrating. Because you like... You like get into a console and they're like... Yeah, we're going to discontinue that. Yeah. Sega did do that. Yeah. They were bad about that.
[00:26:58] Yeah. And then you're like, what the fuck? I had a 32X, which was like a great idea. Yeah. You know, but... I think I was... Yeah. So, like... Like after Sega, that's when I transitioned to PlayStation. Okay. Because my dad was like, you need to buy a PlayStation. Buy a PlayStation. Because it was like the one. Yeah. And that was like, you know, I played Metal Gear Solid and my life was like... Yeah. Changed. Yes. Forever. Forever.
[00:27:29] This is amazing. Yeah. I got... I got my Atari hooked up. Yeah. I saw that on Facebook last night. Yeah. Finally. Yeah. It took a while. Like, I had to get... I'm sure the way you had to adapt that... You know, it was very simple. I just needed this little adapter for the TV. Mm-hmm. Because you don't have the prongs anymore, right? So, that cable went right into... Yeah.
[00:27:58] That cable used to go into a box that had the two prongs and you flipped it from TV to whatever. Well, now that cable just slips into this little silver adapter and you screw that on the back of your TV. You're done. Yeah. And it goes right into like the coax, I guess. Correct. Yeah. And then... But for some reason, like my cords got jacked up. I don't know how. Like, my power cords were both stripped and broken. I'm like, what the... And I tried to like, you know...
[00:28:27] There's a 45-year-old system. Put them back together. Yeah, I know. I tried to like, you know, cut the wires. Yeah. Twist them and tape them and, you know, all the magic. And I still couldn't get... I still wasn't doing it right. And then I thought my whole system might be down. I'm like, maybe it's just... Maybe it just fucking gave up. Yeah. Um... Because I have three systems and I tried it on all three. And, uh... Three different systems. They're all 2600, but they're just different. Yeah.
[00:28:57] Sears and six channel versus four channels. But... Um... Anyway, so I got that hooked up. Played some Pitfall last night. And then... I, um... Went to a toy show today. Um... Out in Bethel Park, I guess. Yeah. It was... I don't know. It was pretty cold, but there didn't have any lights. Yeah. They were affected by the storm. Yeah. So... They didn't have any lights in the... In the... So they...
[00:29:27] Everybody had these... They were running on, like, backup generator lights and shit. Yeah. And, like, extension cords to light things up. And it was just weird. Um... So it was hard to, like, look at toys. Um... Let alone if they didn't have any power in certain places. How are they gonna do... You know... I don't know. It was just weird. Yeah. And... Um... But, uh... There's some cold toys. A lot of dirty toys. Yeah. Just dirty. You know. Um... But, I mean, they had some cool stuff.
[00:29:56] And they had the Shogun Warriors out there. They were asking pretty pennies for those. Yeah. And... And some retro stuff and antique stuff. And so... But anyway, I bought two games. Yeah. At a reasonable price. They also had a 2600 in box for, like, 100 bucks. Wow. But... I already have three. Yeah. And it's just another box. I don't wanna... Yeah. You know, I'm gonna play it. Yeah. It's not like I'm gonna melt it on my wand. Yeah. It's another box. It's just more stuff. Exactly.
[00:30:26] But it's a good price for a brand new system. Yeah. I mean, nothing... It was barely even used. Right. Um... To hear you say that, though, is amazing. Yeah. I should have bought that. No. I walked by it three times. Because you're the guy... I mean, and this is the amazing thing. Like, I... And I... Like, you are a hoarder. Yeah. You know? Like, we made the joke, like, if you have to get rid of something, call Ian. He'll take it. Yeah. You know? And I say that with nothing but love. But, like...
[00:30:56] Like, you would, like... So, for you to say, like, yeah, I didn't... You know? It was in the box. It was a good price. I probably should have bought it. But I didn't. Because... Now I have a box. It's, like, amazing to hear. Yeah. Because, like, two years ago, you would have bought that. Yeah. Like, there wouldn't have even had a second thought. Yeah. Like, it's, like... So, I'm kind of proud of you in a way. You know? Well, I mean, think about it. I already have three of them. Yes. You already have three of them. I have working joys and working paddles for all three.
[00:31:26] But... I don't need a fourth. In the being in the box is what's the key there. Yeah. I mean, it was the original cardboard. Everything looked good. Yeah. Like, that's, like... I know you've wanted that. Yeah. It had plastic dust on it. Put it that way. Yeah. It was brand new. Yeah. I was, like... So, I mean, like, to hear you say, like, I walked away from that is, like, shocking. And I applaud you. Yeah. Because that's not something you would have done not too long ago. So, I just bought, like...
[00:31:52] I bought Dig Dug and I bought Mega Mania. Wow. Which is one of my favorite games on Atari. For a decent price. Nice. I didn't realize He-Man was so big. Yeah. Like, big. Old and new. The problem with He-Man is it was just after us. Yeah.
[00:32:18] Like, when He-Man hit and was big, we were, like, 14. Yeah. 15. Like, we were no longer, like... Doing that. Yeah. Like, I was watching the cartoon, but I was like, I'm not gonna buy He-Man action figures. I ain't, you know... Yeah. I ain't some chump. As I'm, like, trying to hide my Star Wars collection. You know? Yeah. But... But, uh... Yeah. He-Man... I mean, they had He-Man shit everywhere. I've never seen so much He-Man stuff. Yeah. It was... It was everywhere.
[00:32:47] And I could... I found some... So, that's, like, big with millennials. Yeah. And now... They're just reaching a point where they've got, like, disposable income. Yeah. So, like, yes, that's becoming big because that was their childhood. Yeah. The, uh... They had, um... I was looking for some Battlestar stuff and I couldn't find anything. Yeah. Um... Um... A lot of Star Wars. They had a lot of original stuff.
[00:33:17] Yeah. But... The asking prices were... You wanted, like, 40 bucks for a Chief Churpa. No, for real. I know. I based that. Yeah. If you want 40 bucks for a Chief Churpa... There's something wrong with that. Yeah. You know? That was carded, though? Huh? That was on the card? No. No? Oh, no. Carded. They're worth way more than that. Yeah, I was gonna say. Like, I mean... No, 40 bucks for a Chief Churpa loose. Wow.
[00:33:48] Yeah, that's... Yeah, that's... That's... No. Yeah. A loose Chief Churpa at best should be, like, 10. Not this one. Or Kratu. You know? Yeah. But... Kratu. Yeah. But, uh... I mean, they had... They had some interesting stuff. You're the low blood. Dude, they want... I couldn't believe it. I looked at Jared, and I was like, I can't even believe that. They wanted $300 for an original do-back-in box.
[00:34:17] Wow. $300. And the box was shitty. Yeah. It wasn't, like, a great box. Yeah. It wasn't mint, you know? I'm like, $300 for a do-back? I'd be damned. I'd be damned if I bought a do-back for $300. $300. But, you know, I saw somebody shell out $200 in the 50s for a, you know, I guess one of the mini-shoguns people. Yeah. Let me see that shoguns.
[00:34:48] Here's $200. I'm like, God damn! Yeah. So, but, and then it had this whole, it must have been a 20-foot table of Joes. And I wasn't really into the Joes as much as looking at the Star Wars stuff, but... Yeah. They did have some Secret Wars figures out. Yeah.
[00:35:12] None were carded, but they had, like, but they had the shields. Yeah. But the figures were beat. I mean, like, you could see where, I was like, damn. I mean, they were just kind of beat up. They were played with, apparently. They were just kind of beat up. Yeah. You know? And, but they had Kang. Some, I cannot, Zemo. It wasn't Zemo.
[00:35:41] They had Kang, Daredevil, Cap, Doom. And they were selling for, and these were beat now. Yeah. They had the shields, but they were beat. Right. For, like, $65 a piece. Good Lord! I'm like, God damn! Yeah. I just couldn't believe that. You know what I mean? So, anyway.
[00:36:09] I, um, because I was looking for, um, I have the Spider-Man, the Black Spider-Man. Yeah. That's probably the most expensive one to buy. Yeah. I have the Black Spider-Man. I have Daredevil. Somebody else. Iron Man. I have Iron Man. Yeah. Um, but I'm always looking for the Wolverine and the Doc Ock. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah.
[00:36:39] Um, because the Doc Ock had the, of course, the arms. Right. And the Wolverine's almost impossible to find new, because he had, they were clip-on claws. Yeah. And you just can't find the claws. Yeah. I would even buy just a Wolverine, just have the Wolverine. Yeah. Um, because that Wolverine, if I'm not mistaken, is in the, uh, yellow and, uh, like, burgundy. I think so, yeah. Yeah. The yellow and burgundy look. Yeah. Which is a cool look for Wolverine. Yeah. Before the blue.
[00:37:09] Yeah. Yeah. But, um, yeah, I really couldn't find any of those. Yeah. So it wasn't really that great. Yeah. It'd been better if the lights were on, I could actually see. I probably missed half the shit, because I couldn't see it. And that Shogun Warrior whole case, whatever. Yeah. That was insanity. What that guy had. Yeah, you sent me a picture of that. I was impressed. I was like, oh, wow. Yeah, that was his display of Shogun. Yeah.
[00:37:39] I'm like, God. Damn. Where did you acquire such things? Yeah. Japan. Maybe. Maybe. But Jared said they were selling, like, a lot of Japanese stuff, and people were, like, sort of eating that up a little bit. Mm-hmm.
[00:38:08] Of the toys they were selling. You know what I mean? That's the problem. Like, you know, there's always that saying of, like, you know, there's always somebody's going to buy it. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like, I'm sure if you took, like, a Michael Jordan rookie to, like, Japan. Sure. Nobody's buying that. Right. You know? But here, it's worth hundreds of dollars. You know? Right. Well, Japan does, like, pop culture stuff. They do, but still, like, I mean, to a certain extent. You know what I mean? Like...
[00:38:35] Well, when Jared was there, also, too, when he was in Japan, he had a hard time finding... There was a lot of Disney stuff, but he was, like, it was very hard-pressed to find any kind of Looney Tunes anything. Yeah. Could not find it. Right. You could not find Looney Tunes in Japan. So, like, but that Japanese stuff, when it comes over here, even though it's, like, he says, like, oh, that's the shit line. Yeah. You know, that's the cheap line. Here, it's scarce. Yeah. So, the price goes up. Right. You know?
[00:39:02] Like, I buy those Godzilla's Bandai makes them. Uh-huh. I've got four of them. And, you know, they're... They're, like, you know, $20, $30. Right. But I'm sure you could probably buy the exact same thing in Japan for, like, five. Right. You know, because it's a scarcity issue here. Right. Like, you know, you don't get as much Godzilla stuff, especially, like, this type of stuff. Because it's, like, the four I've got is, like, it's Godzilla minus one.
[00:39:32] It's Godzilla from 1984. Uh-huh. It's Godzilla from Millennium. Uh-huh. And then, uh, the American version, the Monsterverse version of Godzilla. Uh-huh. From, like, the first couple of movies. Uh-huh. And so, like... And they make others. Like, there's, like, you know, Godzilla from 1954. And, you know, then there's the villains. Like, you get, you know, Gordia. And, you know, you can get all that shit. But... Is that Bandai exclusive? Do they own the rights to Godzilla?
[00:40:02] I think so, yeah. Ew. I'm just wondering. Yeah. But, like, then I see other stuff. Like, I go to, like, the Godzilla store. And, like, you know, then there's a premium stuff. It's a couple hundred dollars. Yeah, yeah. You know? Like, I'll just sell it for this. You know? But I'm sure, like, that same line that I'm buying here, this cost me $20, $30. It's, like, you know, five in Japan. It's like, you know, like, children play with this. Right.
[00:40:28] So, I did watch a movie today. Yeah. So, I watched this movie. It's called Havoc. Okay. It has Tom Hardy. Okay. Forrest Whitaker. I think I saw the preview. Or, I saw... Yeah, it's on Netflix. Yeah.
[00:40:58] And Timothy Olafont. But the real attraction... And it's a good cast. But the real attraction was it was directed by Gareth Edwards. Okay. Who directed the first Godzilla movie. Who directed Rogue One. Uh-huh. And who directed The Raid. Okay. Okay. Like, so, like, to me, like, I'm thinking, like, okay.
[00:41:26] There's going to be some off-the-hook action sequences in here. Uh-huh. And there are. Okay. That's... I mean, the thing with this is it's ridiculous. Okay. Like, it's John Woo-esque in, like, every gun is a hand cannon. Yeah, yeah. And they never run out of rounds. It's just, like, 100 round clips. Yeah, yeah.
[00:41:53] And, like, these, you know, 10 millimeter guns. Right. Like, it's just, you know, absolutely nuts. And, like, everybody knows martial arts. And, like, even though, like, you know, part of this is, like, you know, the triads involved in this, of course. But it's, like, so, but everybody's, like, you know, kung fu fighting. And, like, it's a level of just, like, pure insanity. Yeah. But it's amazing action.
[00:42:22] Like, if you like that kind of shit, and then there's a scene at the end, like, the big fight sequence at the end of it with, at this cabin that's just, again, bat shit crazy with people dying horrifically awful deaths. Yeah, yeah. You know, there's a spear gun involved at one point. Right. You know, but the movie, like, I recommend the movie if you want to see these action sequences. Right.
[00:42:51] Like, there are other actions. Like, there's a really great chase scene to open the movie. Mm-hmm. There's some okay action until you get to the club. It's not fantastic, you know, but it's there. But there's, like, those two major pieces. Overall, this movie was not that good, though. Nah. No. Like, and you would have thought, like, with, like, a cast like this, like, this would be, like, just killer. Yeah. And it's not. Like. That sucks.
[00:43:21] It does. Like, at the end of it, like, I was entertained by it because the action sequences are so fucking good. Mm-hmm. But, like, Tom Hardy was still, like, in, like, Venom mode. Really? Really? Yeah. Like, he was still, like, in, like, that character, it seemed. Like, he was kind of brooding a little bit. He was a little, like, it just, it wasn't that good.
[00:43:49] Like, when you give me, like, like, Timothy Oliphant and Tom Hardy, like, I'm expecting, like, good work. And, like, both these guys were kind of like, yeah, this is a paycheck. Yeah. Which sucks. Yeah. But, like, the action sequences are so fucking good. I recommend it based upon that.
[00:44:12] Like, if you want to see old school John Woo style without the doves. Right. Like, kind of action. Yeah, yeah. This is the movie for you. If that is not what you're looking for, then I don't recommend it at all. Okay. Because if, like, because that's all it is. It's, like, it's, like, those two major set pieces, the set piece at the beginning of the car chase scene.
[00:44:43] And, like, you know, none of the characters are likable. Yeah. You know, Louise Guzman's in it. He's maybe a little bit likable, but he's not in it enough for you to like him. Yeah, yeah. Like, it's just a meh movie. But, like, the action is so fucking good. I enjoyed it because, like, I like shit like that. Right. You know what I mean? Like, but, like, looking at it objectively, like, I can't sit there and be like, oh, I highly recommend this.
[00:45:08] Or just because, like, from a story standpoint and everything else, it was just so fucking bad. Huh. Shame. Yeah. I haven't really watched. I did watch The Last of Us. I haven't watched that yet. Any of them? Any of it. No. I heard. But it's that thing, like, spoiler in case you haven't watched. I know Joel dies. I know. I just, I wasn't ready for that. Yeah.
[00:45:37] I needed to explore that character some more. And he's one of the reasons I watched the show because I like the character. Yeah. I get the game and I understand all that. You know what I mean? Yeah. But I like the girl, but I don't really like her that much. And I don't, like, think that she can carry it. Yeah. So, like, I don't know. But anyway, that's it.
[00:46:06] I don't know if I'll continue watching it or not. And that's really the only thing I've watched. Here's an interesting question. Sort of like the dead, right? Yeah. Once Rick was gone. Yeah. That kind of blew it for me. I was kind of like... I had a feeling he was going to die at some point. Because of... Yeah. Yeah. I know. But I was kind of surprised it was like episode two. Yeah. You know? Yeah. But, I mean, sometimes a surprise is what you need. You know?
[00:46:37] Is it, though? Like... Like, it was kind of... Well, I mean, are we taking... Here's my thing, Rick. Are we taking Walking Dead scripts here? You know? Are we taking the... You know? Because the big thing on the dead was that one of the biggest draws of that was like, who's going to die next? Because they're so unexpected on who's going to die. That was a big draw. That was the play. Right? Yeah. Nobody's safe on The Walking Dead. Right. But, like... Okay. Like, here's a prime example.
[00:47:08] Like, you knew Glenn was going to die... Yeah. When Negan shows up. Because that's what happens in the comic book. Right. But them taking out Big Red... Yeah. Like, also was the shocker. Yeah. Like, I knew Glenn was going to... Like, I knew that was going to happen. Yeah. But then to take out Big Red as well, I was like, oh, shit. Okay. I like Big Red. So did I. Like, that was like a stunning loss of a character to me because he was so good. Yeah. You know?
[00:47:37] And he was against Rick but with Rick. Yeah, yeah. Like, you know, he kind of... Like, he was a good character and I was like bummed out that he... Like... But it was shocking because that wasn't in the comic book. Right. Like, you know... Like, this scene you thought you knew how it was going to play out. Yeah. Yeah. And you thought you knew what you were going to get and you got that extra death to throw you off. Yeah. You know? Yeah. And I feel like with this, even if I haven't watched it yet, it is that thing of like...
[00:48:06] In my head, I would have been counting down, okay, well, when does Joel die? Yeah. Like, it has to happen soon. Yeah. And does it sort of take him out episode two creates the emotional... Because you weren't expecting it yet. Right, right. Like, you know it's coming but, oh shit, they did it now? Yeah. Okay. You know what I mean? Like, so I understand that I respect the decision. Yeah. But it's that thing of like... You're right. Like, I like the character.
[00:48:33] I mean, obviously, you know, we like Pedro a lot. Yeah. He's an actor. And it would have been nice to have gotten more of him. Yeah. But, you know, I saw somebody posted on Twitter, and apparently this has gained some traction, that they want to see Bella Ramsey play Kitty Pryde. Oh, yeah? Yeah. That's cool. I don't know.
[00:49:04] Like, I don't know because it's... I mean, Kitty Pryde is one of my favorite characters. Mm-hmm. And I thought... What's their name? Oh, she transitioned to a key. Uh, well, not Ellen. Yeah. Alan Page is his name. Alan Page. Yeah, but Ellen Page at that time. Yeah, yeah. I thought they did a fantastic job. Like, I really liked their version of Kitty. Yeah, yeah.
[00:49:32] Like, I would have wished she got pushed more to the forefront. Yeah. But that's also part of it is, like, I like that character a lot. Yeah, yeah. You know, like, in a comic book, she's one of my favorites. Yeah. So, it's like, for you to, like, say, like, well, Bella Ramsey should play Kitty Pryde, I'm kind of, like, on the fence of, like, I don't know because, like, I don't think she is Kitty. Yeah. Like, you know what I mean?
[00:49:59] Like, when I think of her, when I think of Bella, I think of, like, you know, those scenes from Game of Thrones where she was just, like, you know, the King of the North, you know, this is my motherfucker right here, you know, shit like that. Like, you know, all you motherfuckers set aside while this shit went down, you know. Not me. Yeah, yeah. Me and my men will be right fucking there. You know, like, it was shit, like, she was, like, very, and even in this, she's a very
[00:50:29] strong-willed person. And I'm not, and it's typecasting, I know, but, like, that's not Kitty Pryde. Yeah, you're right, I guess. You know, like, there's a real vulnerability to Kitty. Yeah. Like, I'm not saying that Bella Ramsey, I mean, that has been shown in this show. Yeah. But, like, there is a massive vulnerability to Kitty, like, where she questions everything about herself. Yeah. You know, her powers and what she used good for.
[00:50:57] Like, which is why she's one of my favorites. Like, of all the X-Men, like, she's the one that's, like, you know, I don't know. You know? All the others, like, yeah. For mutant Karn! She's like, hmm. You know, you think of all the characters that died, and, like, your favorite, what's your favorite character that died that just killed you? Just random. I mean, it doesn't have to be your favorite, just memorable.
[00:51:27] Like, good death scene. You know what, like, every time I fucking watch this movie, it kills me. I have to stop it, because I'm rolling tears. And it's George Kirk in the first, at J.J. Avril. I mean, Helmsworth is so good in that role. And it's, like, but, like, everything is taking place around him. Yeah. And, like, his ultimate sacrifice. Like, it was... It's one of the best death scenes ever. It is. Like, it absolutely is.
[00:51:57] And it's, like, fuck. You know? Yeah. Like, he's even, like... Like, he's committing suicide to save everyone. And he's arguing with his wife about the name of his son. Yeah. You know? As he's like, no, we can't handle that. Not tight. It's good. Everything going around it was good. We can't call him dangerous. You know? Like, yeah, like, everything about that scene is, like, so fucking good. Yeah. It was, like, a masterpiece. It was. And, like, every time I watch it, I... To open the film like that is just incredible.
[00:52:26] Yeah. Like, I remember the first time I saw it in a theater, I was, like, bawling. Yeah. I'm like, holy fuck. Yeah, Hemsworth really put it on for that. Yeah. It was really good. Yeah, it was a good one. Stark's death was pretty bad. Yeah. Yeah, like, Stark's death is, like, you know... But you kind of saw it coming in many ways. Yeah, I know, but still. Yeah. Especially when the kid shows up. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah.
[00:52:56] And Pepper and all that. Yeah. Yeah. I still get emotional over that part. That's a huge part for me. Yeah, when she's like, we're going to be okay, Tony. Yeah. We're going to be okay. You know, I was like, fuck. Damn. Yeah. And then later on with the cheeseburgers comment, that was... Yeah. Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's crushing. Yeah. They fucking laid it on at the end. They did. Oh, they did. Oh, it was terrible. Then you got the break from just Steve just walking away. Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. That was cool.
[00:53:25] Yeah, like, he juxtaposed it with... You know, you want to tell me about her? No. I don't think I will. Yeah. Like, fuck. Steve. He'd go, dude. He'd pimp. I know. Another great death scene, too, is... What was the movie? Nicholas Cade burning. Oh, kick-ass. Kick-ass. Unreal. Oh, yeah. That was one of the best death scenes I've ever seen in my life. Yeah. When you're like... You're like tearing. I was crying during that book. Yeah. Even though it was kick-ass. Yeah. But at the same point, it's like...
[00:53:55] Him screaming like that. Yeah. A name. Ugh. Nine millimeter to the right! Oh, yeah. Like, unbelievable. Oh. It's a great scene. Great scene. Where you're like, fuck, Nick Cage still has it. Yeah. Because he does so much shit where you're like, oh, fuck, Nick Cage. And then he does that, and you're like, oh, man, Nick Cage still has it. Yeah. He still has that fastball, and he needs it. Oh, he's... It's all there. Yeah. It's just the movies that he chooses. Yeah.
[00:54:25] I mean, he's getting paid, you know? Yeah. I mean, he just needs the money. The movie with Pedro Pascal was good. Cool. Oh, yeah. Yeah. You know what I mean? That movie's phenomenal. That movie I just watched, Long Legs was good. Different. Well, I roll for Cage, but I mean, like... Yeah. That was good. The movie with him in the rural whatever. Yeah. Those things. I don't know what they were there. Yeah. That was good. He was good in that. I mean, he can play some really good roles. It's just you never know what you're going to get with him. Yeah. Yeah. You just never know.
[00:54:55] Oh, I mean, like, is this the good Cage or is this, like, terrible Cage work? Yeah. You know what I mean? Yeah. Yeah. Because I prefer the good Cage stuff. Yeah. Like The Rock. Yeah. He was great in The Rock. Oh, I found it from all. Well, this is like... There's the three films. It's The Rock, the one where he's on the prison plane. Oh, yeah.
[00:55:25] But he didn't say anything really during that. Corner. Corner, yeah. And then Leaving Las Vegas. Leaving Las Vegas? Yeah. Just the one where he's the drunk. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. And he was... As much as I don't like the movie, he was good in the other Vegas movie. Was it Vegas? The Diapers, the Pampers, the... Oh, oh, Raising Arizona. Yeah. Yeah, that movie's amazing. He's amazing in that.
[00:55:55] Yeah. I'll give him credit. I mean, he is amazing in that movie. I love that movie. Yeah. Because it's like so... Because it's a Coen... It's like... I like the Coen brothers to a certain extent. Mm. Like, they... Like, the Hudsucker Proxy's an amazing movie. Raising Arizona's an amazing movie. Like, they've done... Like, um... The one with George Clooney. Oh, Brother Where Arthur. Yeah, Oh, Brother Where Arthur. That's an amazing movie. Yeah. And then, like, they do stuff where I'm just like, What the fuck are they fucking... You know?
[00:56:24] Yeah, yeah, yeah. But, I mean, they're the Coen brothers. They can do that. Raising was... I mean... So he has his chops. It's just... Yeah. Like, the one movie that I absolutely hate is... Nicholas Cage's movie is... Peggy Sue got married. Is that right? Yeah, Peggy Sue... Yeah. I hate that movie. With all of me. Yeah. There's nothing I hate more than that movie. I can't stand it. Yeah.
[00:56:53] I can't stand Cage in it either. I just hate it so bad. But National Treasure. He was great in National Treasure. Oh, National Treasure's amazing. He was fantastic. Yeah. It's a great action style. Yeah. Whatever you want to call it, type film. Yeah. You know, without being The Rock. Yeah. He was just a normal dude. Yeah. You know what I mean? Trying to figure things out. I thought the National Treasure movies were good. He was great in them. Yeah. And it's an odd thing.
[00:57:23] The thing I liked about those movies is the sidekick was more than just a sidekick. Yeah. Like, because you have shit like that, and it's like, oh, you've got, well, here's the main character, and he figures everything out. But, you know, and the sidekick is just kind of there for like a joke or two. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. In that movie, the sidekick wasn't, he was like, you know, he was a contributor. Yeah. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like, he wasn't just there for jokes or, you know, some exposition. Like, he actually like was a contributor to like the team.
[00:57:53] Yeah. You know, which I kind of liked. But, yeah, like getting back to your original question, a death that kills you. I'm trying to think. Like, I think Han Solo's death took me by surprise. Yeah. Like, I know. That was rough. Yeah.
[00:58:19] Because it was like, not how you expected Han to go on. Chewbacca's reaction. Oh, it's tremendous. I mean, that's what it is, right? Yeah. It's like. Yeah. You can get through the death, but you can't get through the pain of Chewbacca. Yeah. It sounds so weird. Yeah. I mean, he just went apeshit. And I mean, it's cliche to say, because it's like, oh, Star Wars. But, like, it's, that's the thing. Yeah. Star Wars. That's home.
[00:58:48] You know, Han Solo's my favorite character in that franchise. You know, it's like, have him go out like that was like, oh, shit. Okay. And he put his hand on his face as he fell. Yeah. Unbelievable. Yeah. Harrison Ford is the best. He is. He is. But Chewbacca's reaction is like, oh, my God. He just went crazy. Yeah. Shot him. Shot.
[00:59:18] Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. But still, like, it doesn't hit me as hard as George Kirk. And you know, George Kirk for a grand total of five fucking minutes. Right. Right. Like, I don't know what it is about that death that shook me to my core. Yeah. But it did. Like, I was like, oh, my God. This is how we're starting? You know? And then. Oh, Chewbacca going up to Leia. Oh, yeah. Yeah. Yeah. George Kirk death was pretty bad. Yeah.
[00:59:49] And it wasn't a death scene. But I thought it was going to be. And that's just the end of Serenity. Yeah. Like. When they're. Especially after Wash died. I was like, this is how they're going to end it. They're going to kill everybody. Well, like, you have that moment. They have the barricade up. And they're, you know. And it's like the last stand. They're trying to hold off while Mal's getting the signal out. Not knowing that Mal's getting his ass beat. Yeah. Down there.
[01:00:18] And when they go behind the wall. Like, everybody's all fucked up. And he's like, I need my medical kit. And I left it out there. You know? And River's like. I'll go get it. I'm just like. Like. I'm blubbering. Yeah. Like. I was like. Like. It wasn't even like. I was. I was full. Like. He's going to kill them all. He's going to kill them all. You know? Yeah. And like. She jumps through and throws that thing back.
[01:00:47] And then hits the button to close the door. And just starts just. Kicking ass. Right. But you know. You're just like. Oh. But that moment. That moment where she's like. I'll go get it. Yeah. I'm just like. No. No. No. This is not how this ends. You know? Yeah. Yeah. Fuck. It's good shit. Yeah.
[01:01:21] Death of Bore Mirror is portrayed well. Yeah. Yeah. That was a good death. I mean. That's. It. It. I get upset about it every time. Yeah. But. Like. He finally comes to. Yeah. Reckoning. Right. Right. He finally comes to himself and is like. The little ones. You know what I mean? Yeah. Like. He knew he fucked up. Yeah. But that's the thing. Like. It's like. Because he fucked up. Yeah. Like.
[01:01:53] You know. He didn't deserve that death. He did. But at the same point. Right. It was like. I think. Like. During the whole thing. Yeah. It was like the most honorable death. Yeah. There was. Right. I mean. Think about it. The people who died. He was redeeming himself. Yeah. Save the. The. The. Everybody else. But. It's still. It's like. Yeah. You motherfucker. And then the worst part is. Like. Two movies later. Like. His dad's like. Yeah. Boromir would have brought me two women. I know. You know.
[01:02:24] Boromir would have brought me two hobbits. Not just one. You know. Yeah. What's wrong with you? Hating that guy. Yeah. That motherfucker. That motherfucker. Needed. Kick by a horse. Oh. He did. Sing for me hobbit. Oh. The worst. As he's fucking. Bites into his lip. Oh. Eating that tomato. Yeah. Oh. You're disgusting.
[01:02:54] What are you? Oh. And the worst part is. I love that guy's an actor. Yeah. Like. I've seen him in other things. He's amazing. But. At that moment. I'm like. You motherfucker. You're an awful person. You are. Yeah. Those villains that you hate. Yeah. And I hated him. He pulled it off well. Yeah. He did. I was like. You're an ass. I. What's wrong with you? Yeah. Oh. Like the dude in. The last Guardians movie. Oh. Yeah. Fuck. I hated that dude too. Yeah.
[01:03:24] Oh. Yeah. I hated him. Yeah. I was gunned a really good job of like making you hate that villain. He was fucking sinister. He was. Like you were like. You mother. It wasn't like Starro or something. You know what I mean? Like. He was an asshole. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like. Like that. Like. So often we talk about like the villain. You're like. Yeah. I can see his point. That motherfucker had no point. He was just a motherfucker. Yeah. He was. And he deserved to die. He was evil. I became Samuel L. Jackson.
[01:03:54] The Mississippi Burning. Like. Yeah. I'm glad they're dead. And I hope they're burning in hell. Yeah. I hated him. Oh. Yeah. Oh. I hated him so badly. Fuck that guy. Yeah. I was like. He needs. He needs to die in a miserable way. Yeah. The most miserable way for us. Oh. The worst. Oh. The worst. Yeah. Just because he did all that shit with those animals. I think that's what got people. Right. That was the gut wrench. Right. Yeah. That's what people are like.
[01:04:24] He can do whatever he wants to humans. You know. He can enslave an entire world. Yeah. It's okay. Yeah. You can start messing with the animals. Yeah. Don't mess with them little raccoons. Yeah. You know. That's fucked up. Well that's just like a. I mean. I mean. Wick. Like. You hate that. The. The. The guy. Because he kills the dog. Yeah. Yeah. Wicked his ass and killed his dog.
[01:04:53] And his dad like punches him in the gut. Yeah. You stupid son of a bitch. Have you know what you have awoken? Yeah. Yeah. I like the Wick movies. Oh yeah. I do. Like. The. The. The. The second and the third are good. That first one is so fucking good. Yeah. I like the brooding one. I. I. I. Keanu Reeves. Like the brooding like.
[01:05:21] It's just how he acts that part. Yeah. It's just really good. But like. That scene that I'm talking about. Like with the. The father and the son. Mm-hmm. And. Like the top henchman's there. Uh-huh. And he's like I'll leave. Like no. You fucking stay. And he's like telling him like. John Wick built everything that we are standing on. Yeah. You know like he's telling him this like story. Like it's a fairy tale. Yeah. And the kids like. This is bullshit. Like no.
[01:05:51] No. John Wick is the man you call. You want to kill the boogeyman. Like you know. Yeah. Like I was like. Oh fuck. He paints a picture of what John Wick is. Right. So well. Yeah. Like for the rest of the movie. You buy in. That. That. That Keanu's character is just going to kill everyone. Yeah. Like. Like you. Like. And it's because of that exposition. That they give at that moment. And. But you. It's done so eloquently. Yeah. You know.
[01:06:20] It's so well done. That you're just like. This character is real. And I hope I never fucking meet him. Right. Right. You know. Yeah. Like he's going to kill everybody. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like. Like he grew a conscious. And now that you've killed his dog. That was sent to him by his dead wife. Yeah. Yeah. That. That conscious is gone. Yeah. You know. Done dude. Like. When he checks into the continental. Like people were like.
[01:06:50] Is that John Wick? Yeah. You know. Like. Is John Wick back? I like the one where he had the hit on him. Yeah. Remember that? Yeah. Like everyone was. Yeah. And I guess it was like a big target. Right. I mean like if you can kill John Wick. Oh yeah. You're a made man. Yeah. Yeah. That's why I can't wait for Ballerina. Yeah.
[01:07:20] Because I mean that's in that same universe. Right. And the arms I like a lot. Yeah. Like I thought. I thought she was amazing in the Bond movie. She did the one with Chris Evans I liked a lot. Mm-hmm. But like. You know. They like send John Wick to kill her. Yeah. You know like that. That's what they're doing. They're sending him. Like. Like. Oh shit. Okay.
[01:07:50] I can't wait to see how this goes. Yeah. You know. John Wick. Oh. Yeah. It's a good. It's. That's a good series. Yeah. It is. I really liked What's His Name in it too. The Old Man. Oh yeah. It's great. Yeah. From American Gods. Yeah. Yeah. He was great. In that film. Yeah. How they portrayed him. The way they shot him. How his face is. You know what I mean? Like. How he talks. Yeah. Really good acting.
[01:08:21] Like even in the last one. And like. You know. When they're having the duel. Yeah. And he's like. He hasn't fired yet you idiot. Yeah. The guy's like what? Wick's like. Like. Yeah. Oh it's so good. Right. Badass. Oh. That's good stuff. That is good stuff. It's always cool when you get like.
[01:08:50] Good actors like. Doing good work. Yeah. You know like. Like. Because he can like look at that and. Like he's a good enough actor. He can be like. Fuck this. Yeah. Because he kind of did that. Like when they did that. That. He was in that one. Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Played Blackbeard. Yeah. Yeah. And he was like. Yeah. You could see he was just like. Yeah. This is just a money movie. Yeah. But like with Wick. Like he's like. Acting. That's like American Gods too. He's acting in. Yeah. American Gods too.
[01:09:21] Yeah. He's good actor. Yeah. I mean. And Deadwood. Yeah. Yeah. He was like so fucking good in Deadwood. Yeah. You know. So. Let me see here.
[01:09:51] Let me see here. So Thad writes in. Sean the only reason I have Sirius. And the only reason why is not a Dining Dinosaur. No other than Howard Stern. I know that's why you subscribe Thad. Because that's talking about like. Because NSE subscribes to Sirius. I'm like. I find it interesting. Like that's like not dead. Yeah. Like in the age of streaming. Somehow that's kicking alive. And like.
[01:10:22] You say that like. Like the reason it's not dead is because of Howard Stern. I find it interesting. Because like. To me. Howard Stern no longer pushes the needle. At all. Right. Like. He hasn't pushed the needle in maybe 10 years. Right. Right. You know. Like I find that interesting. You're saying that. I understand why. That's why you subscribe to it. But. Yeah. I don't know.
[01:10:52] He advised me to go buy Assassin's Creed. Or Grand Theft Auto V. I'm not going to buy Grand Theft Auto again. I never cared for those. Sean. You are so wrong. Wrong again. Penn State has more players in the Hall of Fame. Penn State. 12 Penn State to 10 Pitt players. Wrong again son. Haha. Look it up. I want an apology for you being wrong. Um. I'll take your word for it. I'm not going to look it up. Fuck it. I don't care.
[01:11:23] Okay. I don't. I'm not going to have this argument again. Fuck Penn State. Fuck him in the ass. Wow. Yeah. Um. I'm going to see Thunderbolts on Sunday. I heard it could be a little. Little. I heard it could be a little four for the day. Hint. Hint. No. I'm not glad. He's making some sort of fantastic four accusation I believe. Hmm. Okay. Time to go to Kentucky Derby. Starting. Nope. Nope. Nope. Okay. There you go. So that's that. It's right in. Cool.
