[00:00:24] And welcome to episode 612 of the Pittsburgh Nerd Podcast. I'm Sean. I'm Nancy, and this is the only podcast that says... Okay, Mitch. I want to make it up to you. Let's just pause. Put that down. Let's take a step back. No, I was wrong. I'm sorry. Take a step forward. Not take a step back. Forward. Back. And then we're cha-chaing. Cha-cha.
[00:00:53] You got to do a little cha-cha like he did. And then he was like, here, taste this. He's like, what is it? He's like, I don't know. I found it. Yeah, I found it on lab. Yogurt. No, the best scene out of that movie is when he's meeting the professor, and he's got the headband on, and he's like, why do you have that on your head? And he goes, because when I wear it anywhere else, it shakes. It's up there going ding-a-ding.
[00:01:23] That's a great movie. Yeah. And real genius. Yeah, great soundtrack. Great popcorn scene. Yeah. They really stuck it to him. Oh, yeah. They really got him. Yeah, when I didn't go where we wanted, where'd it go? And he's like, that's my house. Yeah. Oh, that was great.
[00:01:52] The guy that lived in the cellar. He was like one of my friends. Yeah. Loved him. And then when he got the hot chick at the end. Yeah. Everybody was like, what? Yeah. But the best is when they were playing, everybody wants to rule the world, and all the kids are getting the popcorn. Yeah. Like, they were bringing wagons and loading their wagons up with it. Yeah. It's a good movie. Oh, it's a great movie. I mean, that's one of Val Kilmer's first.
[00:02:22] Well, Top Secret, I think, is the first time I ever saw Val Kilmer. Top Secret is Val Kilmer's first movie. Oh, really? Yeah. Wasn't it? No. Oh. I didn't go that far back. I didn't remember. Yeah. I mean, that's the amazing thing. Why is that? That's the amazing thing. And we're talking about Val Kilmer because, unfortunately, he passed away this past week. Right. But it's one of those things where it was like, I mean, you talk about a dude who did so much. Yeah.
[00:02:52] I mean, I talked about it a couple years ago with Ian, and we both watched the documentary. You watched the documentary. I did. And that documentary is so good. It is. And it's so sad, and it makes you realize how human he was because he was such a – he was different on a thing. Well, he was a different person. Yeah. And people complained that he was difficult to work with, and I don't think it was that he was difficult to work with.
[00:03:18] I think it was just – he was just a purveyor of his craft. I don't know. And he took it seriously. But you watch that documentary, and you see him like real. Yeah. He doesn't seem like a dick at all. You know? No, but I don't know what it was. Because there was a moment where Val Kilmer was one of the biggest stars in Hollywood. Yeah. Fishing after heat. Yeah.
[00:03:47] I mean, he gets Batman forever. And – I mean, up until Batfleck, Kilmer's Batman was my favorite. Really? He only did one. Yeah. But – I'm sorry. I apologize. Like, I just like the way he played Batman. Like, I thought it was – he – Like, Michael Keaton? Yeah. Like, I don't –
[00:04:17] I didn't have a problem with Val Kilmer's Batman, but I don't think he was better than Keaton. I do. Like, I love Keaton. He's better than Clooney. Yeah. He's better than Keaton. Yeah. No. That was – it's my opinion. Like, I'm not saying I'm right or wrong. And I love Keaton as Batman, but I just – I like the way he played the character. I – you know. And – Is he the one that – wait.
[00:04:45] Is that the one where Two-Face and Riddler? Yeah. Okay. Because I can picture him standing there telling – not Riddler, whatever his name was. And what is his real name? Um – Harvey Dent. No. That's – Oh. That's – Oh. That's – Tommy Lee Jones. What is the Riddler's real name in cartoons? What's his – Oh, Edward – Edward Digma. Edward Digma. Yeah. Thank you.
[00:05:11] So he's talking to Edward Digma and he's trying to tell him why he cannot fund his – Yeah. – project. Yeah. And I can see Val Kilmer stand there doing that. And yes, he does look like a good Bruce Wayne. I'm not going to doubt that, but I just – not over Michael Keaton in that era. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Maybe he's just going to get sick. Probably the best line ever in a Batman movie. It's the car, right? Chicks dig the car. Was that Val Kilmer? That was Val Kilmer, yeah. Okay.
[00:05:41] Are you sure? I'm positive because – Because, for God – Oh, no. Then Robin repeated it when he had the car race when he stole the car. Yeah. Okay. Never mind. But it was – it's what's-her-name? Tom Cruise's ex-wife. Nicole Kidman. Nicole Kidman. And she – I forgot she was even in that. Yeah. But she pulls the bat signal.
[00:06:08] And so he comes to the – and it's like, I have information about Two-Face. He's like, yeah, I already fucking knew that. And then she, like, tries to seduce him. And – Four. Yeah. And he's like – and she's like, and I know you've got a type. Should I be wearing a – Yeah. Skin-tight latex? And he – and he's – she's just like, I'd like to get to know you better. He's like, it's the car, right? Chicks dig the car. Okay, okay. Yeah. Oh, what a cheesy one.
[00:06:36] It is – it's super cheesy, but it's like – it works. It was wasted on her. Yeah, well, but it was given by Val Kilmer, so. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. And where it delivered it. Yeah. But he also, like – I mean, not – but, like, you're right. Like, he was in Heat. He was in – Hello? Tombstone. Oh, God. Don't even get me started. Yeah, I mean – Gee, Lord. Like, the dude did so – and then, like, later on, I mean, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang is like a movie.
[00:07:06] If you have not seen Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, it's like – that's the movie that got Robert Downey Jr. to be in Iron Man. Right, right. Because Robert Downey Jr. was, like, persona non grata. Like, it was like he was done. And Shane Black took a dice roll on him because he's such a good actor. And he made Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, which Val Kilmer said. And they both fucking kill it. Right.
[00:07:36] And Jon Favreau sees Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and asks Shane Black, how is Downey? Right. He's like, he's a pro. Yeah. No, there's nothing wrong with him. He did everything. Because he knows. Right. Past. And that Favreau then convinces Disney, based upon Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, to bring Big Donny Iron Man. You did mention one thing, Tombstone. Yeah.
[00:08:05] Now, when I was in Tombstone, those actors are very highly recorded in that little area. So, I wonder how that's going to up his sales in Tombstone. Well. Because they're everywhere. When you walk through Tombstone, they are everywhere. There's even people acting as the actors that played in Tombstone, not who they were playing. Right. Like, they were trying to look like them.
[00:08:33] And you're just like, Val? Yeah. Well, I know. Not Doc. Val. Kurt Russell and Val Kilmer exchanged gifts after Tombstone. Tombstone. Oh, I apologize. Sorry. That really went down the wrong side. Sorry. Oh, guys. That's terrible.
[00:09:03] That was. Kurt Russell bought Val Kilmer a burial plot in the cemetery. Wait, the one I went to? Yeah. Oh, my God. Really? And Val Kilmer bought Kurt Russell one acre of land on the hillside above the cemetery. No way. Because it was a representation of each of their characters. Yeah. Doc was death. Why it was life. Okay. So. Yeah.
[00:09:35] Yeah. But he. Doc got a burial plot. He gets me buried there. I don't know. But. If they cremate him, they might put some ashes there. Yeah. That's about it. But. But I mean, like. It's also making like his last role. Is coming back as Iceman and. Right. And Top Gun Maverick. And that scene. Means a little something more now. Yes. Is that because when he types that.
[00:10:05] You've got to let it go. Yeah. And Tom Cruise's answer is. I don't know how. Yeah. It's like, we don't know how, Val. We don't know how to let you go. Yeah. No. No. Huh. Yeah. He looked way different. Than when the first Top Gun. Yeah. He was through a lot of shit, though. Well, yeah. Went through a lot of shit. He has. But I mean, it's like.
[00:10:34] I mean, and you forget how good of an actor he was. Mm-hmm. Like. He did a. For like a year. He did like a one man show. Where he was Mark Twain. Right. Right. Like on Broadway. Yeah. It was like. Got like. You know, nothing but praise. I remember. Yeah. You know. He. He was a guy who. Like. Acting to him.
[00:11:04] It seemed like was like a spiritual thing. Yeah. I mean. The Ghost in the Darkness. Yeah. That's an amazing movie. He was a very spiritual person, though. If you watch the documentary, you can see that. Yeah. He's like very in touch with like. Indian culture. Yeah. Stuff like that. He did Wind Talkers, which was about. The Navajas. Right. In World War II. And I mean. You know. As bad as it is. Like. The Islands of Dr. Moreau. I don't think I ever watched that one.
[00:11:35] It's rough. I think it was because you were like. Don't do it. Yeah. It's rough. Just don't even bother. Because like. Marlon Brando. Like. Just like. Mailing it in. Marlon Brando. You know. And he's fat. And he's. You know. Don't. Like. He's got like. Like. Just like. White paint. Like. Oh. It's like. So bad. And. You know. And the. First of all. Like. Val. Like. I really wanted to work with Brando. I looked up to Brando. I love Brando. And. This is a Brando I got.
[00:12:04] That's so funny. I was just watching The Godfathers when I was sick. Yeah. Because I was like. There's three movies I can watch. And then I regretted watching the third one. Yeah. No. So it's funny you said Brando. Yeah. I. I was bummed out to hear he passed. Oh. I was very bummed out. You scared the shit out of me though. By the way sir. When you came down them stairs. And you're like. You need to sit on. And I'm like. Why? Because I know how much you love Val. I know. But I was like. Oh my God.
[00:12:34] Mom or dad. Which one? Yeah. You know. Like. Come on man. You're like. You got to sit on. It's like. You take it hard. And like. You were like. You were like. I'm glad I'm sitting down. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. I was glad I was sitting down. But it was like. Just tell me already. Um. Yeah. At least I wasn't waking out of a dead sleep. Because you did that to me twice now. Yeah. One's with Bowie. And one's with Bennington. Yeah.
[00:13:04] Yeah. So I was like. Awaken alert. But yeah. That's sad. It's sad. It's. Well it's not a great one. But you got to wonder. What's the calm. Because doesn't. Doesn't this always have a trickling effect. Somewhat. Well. I mean. With the famous. It's supposed to. But I'm sure there are two other people. That are a much lesser fame. That have lost their life. Were part of the three. I mean. You know. But. Yeah.
[00:13:35] You know. At this point it would have. Yeah. It's like. It's like. What was the one that just passed away. And then. Like. Michelle Churchenberg. Wasn't even mentioned. Because of that person. I can't remember. They were just a little bit more famous than her. And I was like. Well what about her. Yeah. And that's terrible. She was only in their 30s. It's awful. Yeah. That. Modern medicine. Couldn't have saved her. Because of how she passed. Yeah. That was not. On her. Right. Doctors did that to her. Yeah.
[00:14:05] And. Nobody mentioned her. Right. And she was very talented. Yeah. Yeah. So. Can't remember who the famous person was that. I don't know. Why she was glossed over. Jeez. Yeah. I'll have to think about it. Sorry. I wasn't prepared. Hmm. Hmm. So I was thinking today. Uh oh. Well I was.
[00:14:35] I went up to get go to get myself some breakfast. Before I went and did my laundry. Oh okay. And um. Did you do the two for. No. Because I went with uh. I got bagels today. I've never had bagels. All right. It's a bagel. I don't like bagel sandwiches. Because I feel like all I'm tasting is bagel. There's not enough. Yeah. It's too much. It's too much bagel comparison. The problem. The problem was today. I want more stuff. I want this bagel. Right. My problem was I thought.
[00:15:04] Well I don't want to get. Like a croissant. Because they fall apart. And again I get like flakes all over. Yeah. And I don't want. Like an English muffin. Because they get all. Like that. Seedy stuff. That. None of these places toast them. No they don't. So I wanted the bag. Because I want. Because I also wanted to like just get a little filled up. Like I was like. I was like okay with it. Yeah. You know. It's like yeah. I'll live up on bread today. Oh God. I'd be all gluing down with it.
[00:15:34] But I'm. But I'm sitting there. I'm sitting over. In our. In our get go. Like there's like a little. Section with like seating. So. I'm up on 48 and 30. Yeah. So you know. For those who don't know. Like we. They have like. They have to have a. A section you can sit down and eat. Because you have to have. So many seats. So that under Pennsylvania. Blue Law. You can sell alcohol. Correct. Like if you don't have. Seating for so many people.
[00:16:05] That you can't sell alcohol. On a store. So like. There are convenience stores. Like you go into. That don't sell alcohol. But there are some that do. Because they have. A seating area. So. You know what I mean. And now she head butts me. Such a cute cat. So I'm sitting there. And I'm sitting in the seating section. Waiting for them to call my number. I thought to myself. I'm like. You know. Back in the day.
[00:16:34] This area would have been a magazine rack. Oh. Like. Yeah. They don't have this anymore. Like if you have like. The newspapers there. You have like. The magazine racks. Yeah. And you know. Maybe some comic books or something. Floated in there. But that's what would be in this section. Right. Emotive stuff. Yeah. Yeah. Like they have a little. They have a little automotive section. Like you can buy like oil and stuff. Like that's over by the cash registers. You know. They have all the other stuff.
[00:17:03] But like the magazine racks are gone. And. Yeah. It's because they don't sell. Really sell magazines anymore. You know. And I was just thinking about it. I was like. Like younger generations don't know. The joy and the anxiety. Of like. My favorite artist is on the cover of. Yeah. Rolling Stone magazine. I got to make sure I pick up this issue. So I have. Have that. Or.
[00:17:33] You know. They're on the. GQ. Or whatever. Spin. Or spin. Or whatever it was. And then you buy like two copies. Because you had to have one to keep. And one to cut up. Yeah. Because you were hanging that cover on your wall. You were making closets and shit. Yeah. And. That's like that. That thing of like. I was thinking about it. I'm like. Man like. Younger generations don't experience that. No. Not at all.
[00:18:04] Mm-mm. Like going to like the. Get like the pinup magazine. Like. And. Women had it more. Like. It was. Because you had like. You know. The teen idol magazines. And stuff. Teen beat and stuff. Yeah. That's what I was going to say. Yeah. I probably bought way more. And I also got. Dabbled in and did like skating. Skateboarding and shit. Like. And surfing when I lived in Florida. So I was buying all that shit. Yeah. Like. Like with God. Like with me. Like it would be like.
[00:18:34] Later on. Like it was like. Maxim. Like. Because I mean. That was just. Women. And. Well you also did the. The Playboy for a while. Well yeah. But I think. And like. I bought a few. Play. I actually only bought. One Playgirl. I was always in with my sister. But. I only actually bought. And that was when Peter Steele was in it. Yeah. But like. Wish I still had that. There weren't. Very weirdly. I probably not.
[00:19:04] Like I'm probably. Somebody will be like. You know. Not very weirdly Sean. There weren't like. Magazines where like. You could buy. That would have like. And here's the girls from. Facts of life. Yeah. You know. And they're like in like. You know. Yeah. You know. Doing whatever. Like there was nothing like that for guys. No. I mean you were buying like. Heavy metal magazines. You were buying guitar magazine. Like. Yeah. Stuff like that. Yeah. Car magazines. Car magazines. You guys were buying skateboard magazines too. I know that.
[00:19:33] I wasn't buying skateboard magazines. Oh. I was into that. Oh. But like I was buying like wrestling magazines. But guys were. But guys were. Yeah. Yeah. Or like. Like the. BMX. That was huge. Like a guy. That's one I never dabbled in. Yeah. I knew a bunch of guys who were like. You know. Mongoose is the only way to go man. You know. I'm like. Okay. I got a Huffy. Okay. You know. I got a shoe leather express for the moment. Yeah. I got a. Tire's flat. What can you do?
[00:20:04] Yeah. I didn't have. I didn't have like those big expensive bikes. I had like a. You know. Yeah. Pretty basic one that I loved. Because we beat the shit up our bikes. Our parents were like. I'm not buying you an expensive bike. Because I know what you're going to do with it. It's going to be in the woods. Being thrown everywhere. Yeah. Doing slides and shit. They're like. No. We're on to you with these bikes. Right. Yeah. But I guess. You would buy. Like. As a guy. I guess. Like the types of magazines. I would buy. There was a lot of like. Metal edge.
[00:20:34] And stuff like that. You know. Guitar. Because I give like. You know. There's Eddie Van Halen. Oh. You know what was best about those magazines? They always had in the front. Or the back. That poster. Yeah. And you wanted that poster. You wanted that four page poster. So bad. Yeah. So bad. Yeah. That's why you'd buy. Because he'd be like. Okay. Eddie Van Halen's in the car. And he's. And he's the pull out. Yeah. So you get like. You know. There's Eddie with his hair. And you know. You know. I could put that up in the wall. I could put that up in the wall. Put the parents off.
[00:21:04] Well you weren't pissing your parents off. Jimmy Page. You know. Jimmy Page. You know. I'm sorry. I also did. You know. Duran Duran. Depeche Mode. Yeah. I was in that. All that shit too. I mean. The one that like. My dad was like. Who. Is that a guy or a girl. Was like. You know. I had a CC Deville one. You say poison. Yeah. No CC Deville. My dad's like. Get into that. I don't understand. No. I had the same thing with David Bowie. And Ziggy Stardust. Yeah. Yeah.
[00:21:34] Same conversation with my dad. Yeah. It is not a girl. It is this dude. No. I did. I did buy. Quite a few magazines. And you know. Even when we lived in that apartment in Elizabeth. We were still getting a lot of magazines. Yeah. Yeah. I mean. I would get like. That loss thing. Every week. The prison break one. I did for a while. You know. And then we would go to that. Barnes and Nobles. We go buy more magazines. Yeah. We were like.
[00:22:03] Magazined it up for a while there. But like. It's that thing. Like I said. I'm sorry. Does that say slugger sips? Yeah. What is. Is that from Gikko? Sheets. Oh. I thought you said you went to Gikko. No. It's Sheets. Well no. When I. After dinner. I went to Sheets. Oh. Yeah. Oh sorry. I was confused. Yeah. Now do you have to order that through the thingy? No. This is not an alcoholic. It's just a.
[00:22:32] It was just a great like slush. Giant slush puppy. You know that. I'm talking about a Sheets. You can order stuff on a thing. Drinks on a thing. I don't have to have. When you go in and order food. On that thing. You can order drinks on there. No. I didn't know. No. It was just over on the. It's over. It's a slush puppy. You got an alcoholic beverages. Oh. It was like a fountain. So. No. I mean no. He's flinging his poo everywhere.
[00:23:01] It was nothing fancy. It was just. Okay. Just one of those. Like a Slurpee machine. Yeah. Yeah. They had like the Slurpee machine. I was going to get myself a Slurpee. I was going to get myself like a. A cherry. Cherry Icy. And then. I saw that. I'm like. Yeah. See. I don't know what they have. In areas like that. Because I don't drink that stuff. Right. Here's my. Here's the problem I ran into today. I'm going to say this. And it's funny.
[00:23:30] Because I got this. Which is probably. Five times as much sugar. But. Probably. But I wasn't in the mood for. A Pepsi. I think. I just don't. I just. It's too sweet. I don't want it. I don't want to like spend like three dollars for a bottle of water. Because that's what you're spending though. My pain. Yeah. But that's what. That is what you're spending. I know. And it's like. Because that's what I drink. Right. Thank you. Like. I mean.
[00:24:00] I could get like a. A smaller bottle of like. You know. Pure life. For like a. 99 cents. Ew. Yeah. That doesn't not taste good. Exactly. It's like they're. Whenever the water. After rain is. Draining down the street. Into the suit. That's. That's that water. Because it's like crunchy. It's fucking crunchy. Okay. Don't drink that shit. That doesn't. But like. It's like. It was like. It's like. A giant bottle of smart water. For like. 350.
[00:24:31] And you know me. I like that. Fiji. Yeah. That's like. That Icelandic stuff. I like that too. And like. But there's nothing else. That I like. Drink. Mm-hmm. Like I was looking over. At the Minute Maid stuff. I'm like. Minute Maid fruit punch. Does not sound good. And a little thing like that. Is like six bucks. Well no. It was like. It was like. Same price as like a. Pop. Oh. Then I'm not thinking of the same thing. No. Okay. But like. There's nothing that I like.
[00:25:01] In between the valley. I like. Well. Red Bull. You know. But like. How many Red Bulls can you drink in a day? Right. I already had. 20 ounces. I don't need 20. No. No. And it was just that odd thing of like. I'm looking at like. My drink choices. And it's like. I'm rather limited. Yeah. And I thought about trying Prime. Like they have like a. A cherry. I love Prime. Yeah. I buy that all the time. But I just. I don't care for. The Paul brothers.
[00:25:32] I don't know what you speak of. Logan Paul and Jake Paul. Logan mostly owns Prime. Okay. Which is. He. You know. He's in the WWE. And like. I just don't care for him. Like. They just. They seem kind of. Dickish. I don't know. All the drinks are good. Yeah. So like. I have a hard time. Like giving like. The Paul brothers my money. But they have really good flavors.
[00:26:01] And they've come out with better ones. Yeah. Than. Like. They had the icy pop and stuff. The ones that. Are we having issues tonight? No. Not at all. That's like the third time. That's just a little. That's the first time. That was just a little. Little speezer. We'll be pausing if I catch a whiff. Yeah. Okay. I'm just saying. Just a little sour air. Is that why my eyes are burning? No. Your eyes are burning because you open up that giant log of beef jerky. Hey.
[00:26:31] I didn't eat dinner. Leave me alone. This is too good to be doing shit. That's fatty. Yeah. That's why it's called it. It's got like no sugar. One gram of sugar in it. It's gluten free. I understand that. But it's like a. Glow in salt. Massive log. I know. It is. I was going to buy the regular one. But for a dollar more. I got this size. I was like. Even if I don't fish in it. It's still worth the money. Yeah. One thing that was worth the money in sheets to me. Yeah. But yeah. So I got.
[00:27:00] Like I'm very limited in like what I'm. Me too. Because if you think about what I drink. Yeah. White Claw. Or like during the day. Obviously I can't be drinking all day long. I'll drink water. Or I do the pure leaf teas. But I do the zero sugar. Sweet tea. Or the unsweetened lemon. Because I love the unsweetened lemon. Or just unsweetened. Yeah. And that shit is expensive. Yeah.
[00:27:28] So I have to buy like the big jugs. And keep refilling my bottle. Because it's cheaper to do it that way. But. I like the flavor of it. Because you can. It tastes like tea. Yeah. It's not like Gallagher's and Schneider's. Right. It actually tastes like I brewed the tea myself. Right. Where that other shit. To me it tastes like plastic. I can't drink it anymore. Yeah. Even the unsweetened stuff. Like. I'm pretty limited that way. I was sitting there. And I was thinking to myself like. You know. Man.
[00:27:56] I would just kill for like a can of Hawaiian punch. They don't sell Hawaiian punch? No. At least not at Sheetz. Is that not a thing anymore? Not really. No. I don't know. Is that going with like. Like you can buy. Cherokee red. You can buy Hawaiian punch. Like you. It's like in a gallon jug. Like if you go to like Walmart or Giant Eagle or someplace like that. You can buy like a gallon jug of Hawaiian punch. Or it has like that plastic candle on top. Yeah.
[00:28:24] And it comes in multiple flavors other than just fruit punch. Yeah. Oh. The blue. Yeah. The blue. There's a couple other flavors. I guess I can add a couple. I can see it now. Yeah. I think so. Yeah. They have multiple flavors. But. Like there. There is something about like. Like. Getting a can. Of Hawaiian punch. Okay. Like even like. Just like a pop can. Uh huh. Like. Like. You know. Old school pop can. Like cracking that open. And like firing down some Hawaiian punch from a can.
[00:28:54] It just hits different. And then. I mean. The old school. Like. You had like to take the can opener. To crack open. Like a triangle on each side. So it. Like. That's the good shit right there. I've never drank any of that in my life. No. Your parents didn't love you. You're 50% right. I mean.
[00:29:25] That was like a treat. That was full of sugar. It was like all of a sudden. Like yeah. I'm sorry. We had enough sugar in our life. My father was not going to pile more sugar onto it. My parents were all of a sudden like. Hey. We got a can of Hawaiian punch. And kids once saw it. Fuck yeah. Yeah. You're the pal up on top of it. Yeah. It's fine. No. But I used to give it to the kids. Because they. You know. When they were little. They liked Hawaiian punch. I think you could get it with wicker or something at one point. Probably. Yeah. That and juicy juice.
[00:29:55] I mean. Because like the. The Hawaiian punch. Like I used to get like the. Actually everybody has seen them. Or had them. Like the. It was like a squeezy. Like a little squeeze bottle. Of like concentrated Hawaiian punch. And you could like squirt it into your. Water bottle. I remember. You had those. And it was sugar free. I remember that. Yeah. Yeah. I still didn't. I know you didn't. But like. I remember like doing that.
[00:30:24] That was like delicious. It's just like. That shit gets expensive. But like still. My point is like. It was. It was just a thing of like. I was sitting there like. I don't want to buy Gatorade. Because I got Gatorade at home. And more importantly. What I'm paying for it. At a convenience store. Is much more than I would pay for it. If I just went over to Target. Right. Or Walmart. Yeah. But also. Or even you know. Dollar General sells that cheap. Yeah. Yeah. But. But also. It was just like.
[00:30:54] Like oddball stuff. Like. Orange. High C. Like the shit that you get at McDonald's. Mm-hmm. I love that stuff. Mm-hmm. Delicious. I wish they would bottle that shit. And sell it in a store. They don't. I don't think. I. Maybe. Like. Again. Like. If you. Maybe you go to like a. A Walmart. Like. I don't know. Like. I don't go search it for high C. Right. You know. Normally. Yeah. But like. Every once in a while. I'm like. You know.
[00:31:23] I actually go to McDonald's. Like. Just to get like a. I'm on a bop by myself. I'm stopping at McDonald's. To get myself a high C. Really? Yeah. You do? I've done that. Wow. You sneak. You know. No. I. I mean. Hey. I do the same thing. With my places and things. Yeah. I'm not judging. But like. That. That one is not one of them. But here's the other side of that though. And I don't want to hear it. Like. Like. Somebody's going to be like. Well these are childish drinks. These are drinks for children. I'm like. Yeah. But.
[00:31:54] You know. That's what I like. Yeah. Huh. You like what you like. I know. But it's like. I don't like iced tea. I don't like. No. You don't. In any way. Shape or form. Yeah. I've tried. Yeah. Yeah. I've made. So many different types of iced teas. Or even just flavored waters. With fruits and vegetables. Nope. He wants no parts. I'm like. It's so refreshing. When there's cucumber. And you know.
[00:32:24] Lemon. And mint. And he's like. Nope. Nope. I want. I want. No. I shouldn't say that. That would be wrong. Like. I do like flavoring in my water. Yes. But it's not like. That. No. It's way different. It tastes way different. Yeah. Like. Yeah. Like. I mean. The stuff I want. Like. It's like. Hawaiian punch. Oh. I see. Yeah. Kool-Aid. Yeah. You don't want cucumbers and mint. Yeah.
[00:32:53] Give me a big Kool-Aid. Yeah. I want cucumbers and mint. Right. Like. I love that infuser. I need to bring that out and start. Mean Brittany making something. Yeah. It's refreshing. But I get it. It's not for everybody. You don't like those flavors. I don't. Because the thing is. Is like. The things that are making that. You don't eat. You don't eat cucumbers. You don't eat mint. You don't eat lemon. Yeah. You know. So. Why would you want to drink it? Exactly. Like. Yeah. So. I get it.
[00:33:22] How do we get to this? Oh. Magazines. Yeah. So. I don't even know why we were talking about magazines. Well. I was talking about. Like. I was. I went to get going. That section. I was sitting in the magazine. Oh. Yeah. Go back to that. So. Finish your story with that one. Well. It wasn't a story. I was just sitting there. Oh. And that was your thought. Yeah. My thought is like. And I thought it would be an interesting subject for the. Which is. We've neandered on now. But.
[00:33:52] Right. It is interesting. You bring up a good point. Like. And. Not only is like that gone. Because like magazines are going the way of the dodo. Yeah. But also just the fact that like younger generations don't know that thing that we went through. Right. Because again. They kind of have instant gratification. Yeah. Of. If I want a picture of so and so. It's a phone. I can just use my phone. Or my tablet. Yeah. Or my computer. And find it. And print it. They show that in TV and movies too. Where we saw. In our TV and movies.
[00:34:21] Actual magazine racks. And people buying newspapers. Walking past newsstands. Yeah. Saying oh my god. Did you see this? You know. Or. You know what I mean? And then they had the magazines hanging up around the stand. You know what I mean? We. Had that in all. Today. And that. It's a phone or an iPad or a computer. Like I was. There was. Like it's been replaced. Like it was even like that. It's kind of like a. I won't call it a meme. But like a question of like. Do you remember when going. When you went to the drugstore. And they had the spinner rack of comic books.
[00:34:50] Yes. Yeah. I remember that too. And they had like the. The corny romance novel one too. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Yeah. No exactly. I mean you're right. But. That's something. I mean. They had a few Nancy Drews trickled in there. I ain't gonna lie. Yeah. I mean. These are things that have kind of gone the way. That dodo. That younger generations again. Because they have it at their fingertips. There's no reason to go. Right. And here's a good example though. Again.
[00:35:19] Not to interrupt your thought. Brittany and I were out shopping. Mm-hmm. And we were at the Dollar Tree. And she was like. Look mom. Look whose books these are. And I was like. There is no books in the Dollar Tree. That is ever going to interest me to read. Yeah. But she found three books. That I actually ended up buying. And we're both reading them. They're from Judy Blume. Oh. Okay. And it's the D&E. And. The one we were at had E. Are you there guard? It's me Margaret. And.
[00:35:52] Darn it. I read Blubber. Because that's my favorite Judy Blume book. Blubber. Yeah. And I bought them because I wanted. I wanted to read them real quick. Because they are. I can read them in like an hour. Yeah. If I just sit there and read that. I can read it in an hour. Yeah. I want her to read it. And then I want her to pass that on. From her children. Right. Because I want them to know. Those types of reading. Because you don't get everything from the internet. I want them to read books. Right. So. I'm hoping that's what happens. But it was so cool.
[00:36:22] That is cool. Yeah. So. They're popping up everywhere. Just saying. But yes. There are some places that still have stuff like that. There are. I mean. There are. There's no doubt about that. I took her to have price books by the way. Oh yeah. Yeah. We didn't buy it. Oh. That's why I got that magazine for you. I did buy something for you. Yeah. So yeah. I did tell you that. Yeah. Never mind. I'm sorry. Yeah. Apologies. Sorry. But I'm saying we were in a bookstore. We're talking about books. Like.
[00:36:51] I don't think books themselves will ever quite go away. Or maybe they will like. After our generation dies out. And maybe older millennials. But. But. I don't know. I bought that Kindle fully. Fully thinking. I was going to put. My whole entire book. Collection on there. Right. All my VC Andrews. All. You know what I mean. Yeah. I full. I bought that fully expecting that.
[00:37:21] But the very first book I put on there. I couldn't read it. Like. And it was about D.B. Cooper. I was like. Ooh. A good book about D.B. Cooper. Like a quarter way in. I'm like. I cannot read like this. Yeah. I need a book. I need pages. I need to hold something. I need that. You know. Slip of a page every now and then. What is that? And that. Never mind. Yeah. I need that book in my hand. It's one thing to read an article. On your phone.
[00:37:51] Tablet. Or computer. It's another thing to read a book. Like. And I. I'm with you 100%. I can't do it. Yeah. Yep. I need to have the. Actual. Yeah. Publication. Right. And that's sad that that's going away. It actually. It's sad to me. Because like. They don't. If. I was talking about with Brittany. Encyclopedias. We had a set of encyclopedias in every single room in my house growing up.
[00:38:20] I bet you no home. On this block. Has a set of encyclopedias in its home. No. Except maybe the hoarders across the street. On encyclopedias. I mean. I'm willing to bet you can go to the library at the top of the hill and they don't have a set of encyclopedias. They might have like. X and. Q. You know. Something. F. You know. Something stupid. But. My dad was like. You need one in your room. Chris. We need one in the town. We need one in. It was like. It's like.
[00:38:50] And National Geographic. Like we got educational magazines. In like. Magazines that made us think. Nobody does that anymore. There's no highlights being delivered to anybody's house anymore. I don't even know how many people I see get the newspaper delivered anymore. Oh no. You know what I mean? The newspaper industry is. Gone. Damn near dead. Gone. And that's kind of sad because that's our.
[00:39:17] Not only our childhood but before us. But it's also. But it's also. Like the. Like that industry. Did not recognize. Times were changing. Mm hmm. Like the few. Newspapers that are still. Like the Pittsburgh Post. Gazette. Like publishes. Like. Four times a week. I think same with the Pittsburgh Tribune review. Like. Like they're not daily publications anymore.
[00:39:48] Mm hmm. And if you buy a Sunday paper. Like. A Sunday paper used to be like. The size of a phone book. I know. Now it's like. I know. Like. Because. So much of what was in a Sunday paper. Is like. Oh I can get that on my phone. Or my tablet. Or whatever. You know how big the Sunday paper used to be? When I worked at Cheats. We actually had the Sunday paper delivered in three different days. Yeah. And we had to put all those together. Yeah.
[00:40:17] That's how big the Sunday paper used to be. Right. Yeah. I know. Right. So. But I mean like. It is that thing of like. Like the newspaper industry didn't roll. Like the. And the few that are remaining. Like. The Washington Post. The. The LA Times. Does USA Today still exist? I. As an online entity. I believe. No. Don't get me wrong. I appreciate. Appreciate technology. And I appreciate being. Have that information.
[00:40:47] It's my hands. When shit actually works. Right. Because it always doesn't work. Right. Any Dollar General. I'm in. My phone don't fucking work. Okay. So. They are building. Like bunkers. They are. You are getting no fucking signal. In any Dollar General. In this country. The deeper into a Dollar General. You go. The more disconnected. You become. All the way down to Florida. And back. I tried. Every Dollar General. We went into. Because we went into a lot. I checked. Every one. No signal. So. I'm just saying. It just sucks.
[00:41:17] But. I appreciate that I have my iPad. My iPhone. I do. I love technology. You know me. I love shit like that. I go to VR. Everything. But. It just makes me sad. That. How we. Were able to get. That information. People don't even know about. Like. My grandkids are not going to know. What a newspaper is. They are just not. Right. But. Or. A magazine. Right. But at the same time.
[00:41:47] Like. Some of the things we're talking about. Like in an encyclopedia. They become. They can become outdated. Especially nowadays. So quick. That there's no point in having one. I know. And that makes me sad. That. Don't you remember. When you used to go to the library. Oh. Yeah. You used to go. Get that big drawer. With the letter on it. The Dewey Decimal System. And hope to God. There wasn't multiple drawers. For the same. Right. Letter. Pull that out. And dig through.
[00:42:17] I never. I never understood that. I absolutely. I just wandered around. Until I found a book. I could never understand that system. I'm okay. With that coming late. But like. They don't even understand the struggle. Because they have it right here. Yeah. Yeah. But it's cool. It's cool. Let's move forward. I agree. But there are some things that like.
[00:42:49] Like. You're trying to think of something that. No. You'd like to have. No. But like. The thing I think about is like. Okay. Like right now. My parents generation. Are mostly what are in. Nursing home now. Nursing homes now. I'm sure. Correct. Like. My grandparents generation. Is basically died off. So now it's. My parents generation. Right. So like. If I.
[00:43:18] If I go into a nursing home now. Like. I should be hearing. Because it used to be like. When you go into a nursing home. Like when I. When I worked for the. For an ambulance company. We did. I worked for a transporting ambulance company. And you'd transport like people like. From hospitals and nursing homes. And. And stuff. You'd walk into a nursing home. And it would be like. Bing Crosby. It would be. Sinatra. It would be.
[00:43:47] Big band. Right. Stuff like that. So now. When I walk into a nursing home. I should be hearing like. The Allman Brothers. Right. I should be hearing the Stones. The Doors. Like. Yeah. Like that's what I should be hearing. Like you know what I mean. Like. It shouldn't. I shouldn't still be hearing polka music. Oh my God. You know. And. I get it. I get it. But yet. Also. Our generation. Is quickly closing in on being the next. The next nursing home generation. So is that going to be like. You know.
[00:44:18] Duran Duran and Nirvana. Possibly. Yeah. Like. It. Was our generation going to be the first generation. Was it going to be like. You have to have a PlayStation 4. No. All right. You know. Two. You have two little fucks like. Like. You don't know each other while they're playing mad against each other. Or. You know. Right. Well. I was thinking more like the stuff that I'm going to miss is like. Now. Like. There's not even a human at the toll road. Like.
[00:44:49] Yeah. Stuff like that. You know. You can just drive on through. Nobody cares. Like. The fear of losing that ticket. And having to pay every single toll on that ticket to get through. You know what I mean. Right. That kind of stuff I'm talking about. Right. You know. Because I know everybody that got that. They do not lose this ticket. Yeah. Like the Pennsylvania Turnpike. When you got on the. Like back in the day. When you got on the turnpike. You had to stop at a machine. It spit out a ticket for you. That told you how much you would pay.
[00:45:18] At each exit. And if you lost that ticket. When you got off the turnpike. You were paying the highest toll. Yeah. And it was usually all the tolls together. Yeah. Yeah. So. Your parents were like. Do not lose this ticket. It was like. Oh yeah. The most coveted thing. When you were on those roads. Yeah. But. It doesn't matter anymore. All it does is take a picture of your license plate. And send it in the mail. Yeah. I did.
[00:45:47] Stuff like that is what I'm going to miss. I can't have that experience with my grandkids. And they would probably think that was funny. You know what I mean. Yeah. But now it's just keep driving. Yeah. You know. That's what I'm saying I miss. I miss the other stuff too. But I'm just saying. You know. Like Val Kilmore. I'm going to miss him. Yeah. I mean. Yeah. I mean. There is like. Stuff that's gone away. That you're like. Yeah. That kind of sucks. Like. Like.
[00:46:17] There was something like. There was something nice about reading a box score. Like. Open up the newspaper. And. Like. Back then. Like. You didn't see. All the games. Mm-hmm. Like. Or you didn't have access to highlights of all the games. Exactly. Football. Baseball. Football. Baseball. Yeah. Basketball. So. You'd open up the newspaper. Right. And you would read. Oh. Okay. Well.
[00:46:44] The Dodgers beat the Giants last night. You know. It was a 4-2 game. And you'd read the box score. Mm-hmm. Of the game. Right. Like. That's how you. Like. Oh. Wow. So-and-so's on a hitting streak. Yeah. Like. That's what you did. Yeah. And even like. Before computers. When you would play fantasy football. Mm-hmm. Or fantasy baseball. You did it. By the newspaper. Excuse me. Yes. Like. You'd spend the day. Oh. I know. My dad.
[00:47:13] Had every newspaper delivered. Yeah. He even had the New York Times. Yeah. But he was a crossword puzzle freak too. But he'd be doing all that shit. Yeah. Because he owned a bar. He had to know all that shit. Right. So. That's the other thing. You don't get that kind of shit anymore at the bars. That old time bartender that knows everything. You know what I mean? Yeah. The bars are such a. Yeah. Like.
[00:47:45] I don't know. It's an impersonal experience. It is. You know. It very. It is. I think it isn't. But it is. I'm sure there may be some neighborhood bars. Still. Where like. You walk in. It's the same bartender that's been there for 20 years. You know. He knows what you're going to have for the drink. You know. He's already pouring you your. Your Budweiser. My dad. Or off the tap. Like.
[00:48:12] I'm sure there are still some neighborhood bars that are like it. But like the neighborhood bar is like. Another thing is kind of going away. Yeah. Yeah. Because now. Taking the kids to day care. I'm driving through a section. I haven't driven. In years. Yeah. And I'm noticing. Places like that. I'm like. I remember there was a little bar there. Yeah. A little pizza shop there. You know. I'm like. The buildings aren't even there. Right. You know. So. It even messes with my head. Am I thinking of the right place? And I'm like. No.
[00:48:42] There used to be a pizza shop there. Yeah. So. Yeah. Crazy. Well. According to Nintendo. The second. Switch that's coming out is made. It's actually made. Because they believe there's another. COVID like thing coming along. And it's going to be like. Made for that. Stay at home social life. So. Who knows what's to come.
[00:49:12] Yeah. Going to get even weirder. Well I know they pushed it back. Because of tariffs. Push what back? The release of the. The switch. Because of what? Tariffs. What are those? They are a tax. That the United States government is imposing upon. Japan. For importing goods. Oh. And. When. Trump came in. He threatened these tariffs. And now he's imposing them.
[00:49:42] So like. What is imposing them? Like. I'm sorry. I'm not. Like. There used to be like. There was no tariff on. And like. The problem is. Okay. I'm not trying to get political. I'm just trying to explain this to her a little bit. So. There is something called a trade deficit. Okay. So what that means is. Like. We buy more goods. From Japan. And China. Taiwan. Than they buy from us. Mm-hmm.
[00:50:11] There's a deficit. In how much we buy from them. Compared to how much they buy from us. They have more to offer apparently. No. We. Or we need more. We're crazy over there. We just allow them to make things at a lower cost. And then ship it over. And we don't. And we buy. Like. That's why. Things are. Cost as little as they do. Okay. Okay. All right. I understand that. So. What Trump is doing is. Is.
[00:50:41] Placing these tariffs. To impose. A tax. That raises the price of the goods. And then. Hopefully. Force you to either. A. Buy an American product. Or B. Forces Japan. To buy more of our products. Oh. That's. That's not going to end well either way. Yeah. I mean. In my eyes. It's not going to. Like. It's affected the Nintendo release date. In the U.S.
[00:51:10] For the Switch. I know. Well. I was in a plan. And I'm buying it. There are car companies. That were. That were trying. As quickly as possible. To ship merchandise over here. Ferrari and Lamborghini. Were. Were shipping over. Unfinished cars. Just to get them in the U.S. Before the tariffs were. Taking effect. Wow. And. It's all because. Like. Once it's in. Once it's on. The. In the United States. Then the tariffs couldn't be enforced. But.
[00:51:40] So they were like. They were shipping. Unfinished product. Into the United States. And like. We'll find somebody. To put this shit together over here. Right. There are some companies. That are affected by it. Because like. Toyota. And Honda. They have. Manufacturing plants. Here in the United States. When did this take effect? Friday. This past Friday? Like two days ago? Yeah. Like. Ever since. Like. Trump ran on tariffs. As inauguration.
[00:52:08] He told me he was going to put the tariffs into effect. He put. He set a date that they were taking effect. He pushed it back. Because like. I think Ford and Chevy were like. Yeah. We still got like. Factories in Mexico and Canada. We gotta like. Yeah. You gotta give us some time to figure this out. He's like. I'll give you one month. Wow. Like. Yeah. He put his foot down. He did. Yeah. So. There's been a massive rush to get stuff into the country. I'm good.
[00:52:38] Okay. There's been a massive rush to get stuff into the country. Because of. Mm-hmm. You know. These tariffs coming down. Right. And it's like. Like. How's this going to affect like. The car industry. How's it going to affect. Like a lot of different industries. Oh. There's a lot of stuff coming in from. Right. Isn't like. Timu. Will that be affected? Is that. Yes. Yeah. See. So. Even stuff like that. Yeah. Oh. Yeah. Oh. Wow. Yeah. You're going to see a.
[00:53:07] Probably a massive increase in. Those. Those $1. Gadgets. You're buying from Timu. I haven't bought from Timu in a long time. I know. But I'm just saying. Like. You were good for like. You know. You'd build up a credit with them. And then. I have a credit on there. A big one. They keep. Bugging me about it too. It's going to expire. I was like. It's not going to expire. These are credits from a return. Well. There's no way. I'm going to expire. Use that credit before the tariffs. Yeah. I don't care. And there's nothing on there.
[00:53:36] I'm not going to just use it just to use it. Right. But. If it goes away as it goes away. Whatever. Yeah. But like. Yeah. So. I don't know. We got on the tariffs. I don't know. Things that are going away. I don't know. I don't know. I can't remember. But yeah. Tariffs aren't good. I don't think. I don't know.
[00:54:05] But I did watch another guy. I watched. I'm not going to get into it. That's a whole. That's a whole thing. I'm not going to. Down the hall to the right. That's where that goes. Okay. Okay. So. Your show. Your choice. Today. You watched the trailer. It was released yesterday. For Tron Aries. I did.
[00:54:34] Just before the show. Yeah. I recognized the voice. In the beginning. And I was hooked. I was like. Oh. And then. They showed his eye. You know. Jared Lett his eyes. You know him. I don't care if you're a guy or girl. You know. Jared Lett his fucking eyes. And then they showed. What they showed. And it was like. I wanted more though. I want it. Like. I get it. It was like. Oh damn it. Just a smidge more. I don't know. But it looked good. It looked really good.
[00:55:04] Yeah. They're coming into the real world. The crossover. Yeah. That's. That's what's going to be interesting. And Jared Lett obviously. Like. It's been a minute since I seen him in something. That I actually wanted to see him in. Right. Because I watched it because it's him. Right. I'm not going to say he was awful. In the ones that I watched. Because I love him so much. But. I wasn't. Like I go goosebumps watching that. And it's. Papa.
[00:55:34] It's me. Give me a hug. Don't do that. Please. Stop. I'm a Gucci. Would you please stop. That's what he did. That's what he fucking did. And he. I didn't want to watch it because of that. And it was terrible. But I watched it anyways because it was him. Not because Adam Driver and Lady Gaga were fantastic. Adam Driver was fantastic. Oh. So it was Lady Gaga. Oh yeah. She was phenomenal. Papa. Don't you love me. I'm a Gucci.
[00:56:02] Well I was also thinking of. The. The We Are Work or whatever. No. The one on Apple. Oh no. No. I can't comment on it because I only watched an episode in half. I could not handle Anne Hathaway and that at all. Wow. She was driving me crazy. And the accents. No. No. If you're not French. Don't. Don't speak French. Oh. The one where he turned into.
[00:56:33] Morbius. Thank you. I wanted to love that. I did. But. The more I watched it. I'm like this really is not a good movie. Not. I mean. I just watched it a couple times before. I was like. I gotta stop with this one. Because this one is actually not good. But it was like maybe the third time I was watching. And I was sitting in my room. And I'm like. I have to apologize to so many people. That I shoved this movie down their throats.
[00:57:04] It's just not as good. But when I saw him in this trailer. I'm like. This one I actually might. Like I say. Gave me goosebumps. I was like. Woo. The thing it drives me. Is I saw a quote from Jeff Bridges. Who's in it. And he was just like. I came on set. You know. And Jared's there. And he's a big fan of this. He's. He's a co-producer on it. He. He really pushed to get this made. And.
[00:57:35] I'm like. I want to go say hi to Jared. And I'm like. Oh. Call him Ares. I'm sorry. Is this for real? For real. Oh my. He's in character. He's in character. You have to call him Ares. Anything. I walked up like. Hey Ares. What's up? What's up? You don't mind if I call you air. Right? I could.
[00:58:06] Look at the quote. What is. What is Jared Leto going to say to Jeff Bridges though? Let me look at the quote real quick. It cracked me up. It cracked me the fuck up. What does it mean? It's Jeff Bridges. Yeah. Exactly. What are you going to say Leto? Fucking flip. What are you going to say? Yeah. Jeff Bridges on meeting and working with Jared Leto on the set of Toronto Ares. I hadn't met him before. I'm saying. What's it going to be like? Because he was also a producer of the show. He's a big fan of the original. Working on it for 10 years. I came in.
[00:58:36] You know. How he says. A different vibe. There was an interesting vibe on this. I said. How's Jared? How's he working? He's all right. You know. We call him Ares. You know. He goes. He goes by his name. I said. Oh. That's interesting. His name was Ares on the show. And I ended up going. Hey Ares. What's happening man? He explained.
[00:59:06] And I say. Is it okay if I call you Ares? And he says. Yeah. Sure you can. And we got loose. And it was wonderful. I mean. We jammed. You know. Jammed. Like. Jeff Bridges calling Jared Leto on his bullshit. It was like fantastic. It is. And Jared Leto is like. Yeah. Yeah. You do whatever you want. Because you are Jeff Bridges. And more importantly. To. To. Probably that Jared Leto was a fan.
[00:59:36] Yeah. He's like. You're fucking Flynn. Yeah. Yeah. You want to call me Ares? I'm cool with it. Yeah. You can call me shit. I don't care. You're Flynn. You're Flynn. And you're doing my movie. Yeah. You're back in Tron. What can I say? You are the man. Yeah. Let me bow down to my king. Yeah. Yeah. Uh huh. Like I. And you know what. It. And just knowing just.
[01:00:07] The shit I know. It was more out of respect with that. Probably yeah. It absolutely was. It was. We should have had that. Jeff was like. Oh that's interesting. Yeah. It varies huh? Yeah. I'll set that shit straight. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. It's. Yeah. Well like. So like. We watched.
[01:00:37] The thing you didn't say at the end. And I was surprised it didn't pop with you. Music by Nine Inch Nails. Oh I didn't notice. At the end of the trailer. Did it say it? Yes. I must have. I must have not been paying attention. It has the Nine Inch Nails logo at the end. I wasn't paying attention. I didn't see it. Sorry. Yeah. Oh I would have. If I would have been paying. You should have told me to pay attention when I was watching. Well I figured you'd catch it. You know me. As soon as they show.
[01:01:07] And I don't hear Jared Leto anymore. I'm done. Okay. Wow. Yeah. Music by Nine Inch Nails. Mm. Mm. Not. Trent Reznor. Not Trent Reznor. It's Nine Inch Nails. It's Nine Inch Nails. Mm. Which I found interesting. Because like. Tron Legacy. Which I just re-watched today. Mm. Like after watching the trailer. Like two or three times. I'm going to watch the. I love Tron Legacy. Yeah. Like I think Tron's a very good movie. But it's a little. Little kooky. That's actually what I thought when I was watching it. I'm like I need to go back and re-watch that one. Like Tron is a good movie. But it's a little.
[01:01:37] Little kooky. Because it's. The 80s. But it is a fun watch. It is. But Legacy I thought told a better story. Mm. Than the original movie. Like it takes everything from the original movie. And like makes it better somehow. Yes. Graph. Special effects on. On. On Jeff Bridges. Look bad. Yeah. They're rough. Yeah. But it was new technology.
[01:02:06] I forgive it. Because the story is actually very very good. Right. I agree. And the other thing I found out. Because I'm like look at the main character. Sam. Mm. I'm like. This guy has like disappeared from the face of the fucking planet. Right. Like what has this guy done since Tron? Right. He's a fucking Tulsa King. I didn't even realize it. Really. He plays the bartender. The guy who loves the bar. Oh don't worry. I've been wanting. That is like right now my next thing I'm going to start watching. Okay.
[01:02:36] Yeah. Because that's the one with Sylvester Stallone. Yeah. Okay. Yes. That's my next thing I'm going to start. Yeah. He's in the. He's a. He's a bar. Like get the fuck out of here. Right. Sam. Yeah. Sam from. Tron Legacy. Okay. I have his face in my head. Yeah. Yeah. I'm like get the fuck out of here. Wow. How. What did you do? Look it up. I looked him up on INDB. Yeah. What the fuck has this guy done? Like he disappeared. I haven't seen the higher ear from him. No.
[01:03:04] I watched two seasons of him on fucking Tulsa King. He didn't even fucking know it. Like. I've had that happen before. So I can't make fun. I've had it happen. I was just like. And I'm listening to him like. It is that fucking guy. Holy shit. It is that fucking guy. Like he looks different. Yeah. But like. I'm like watching. Like. I'm like listening to his voice. And I'm like. Holy fuck. That is him. Sometimes it's just the voice that gives them away. Yeah. Like. I don't know if it's because he's always wearing a ball cap.
[01:03:33] So his eyes are covered. He has a bit of a beard. And like. He looks different. Right. But I'm listening to his voice. I'm like. Oh shit. It is that guy. Mother fuck. He tried to hide it. Yeah. You find him out. But. But like. Like. You know. And the. But going back to what I was saying. You know. Nine Inch Nails doing this soundtrack is interesting. Because. You know. Daft Punk did Tron Legacy. And. Like. I'm not a massive Daft Punk fan.
[01:04:03] Because I'm just on that like style normally. They do have some bangers. They do. They do. But. Like overall. I'm just not like. Big into them. I don't search them out to listen to them. Exactly. Me neither. But I won't pass them up if they're on. Right. Yeah. But. They were perfect for that soundtrack. That's. That is. I agree. That's a rare occasion. Like. A. Well. We can say like a perfect soundtrack. Outside of something John Williams did. Right. Like. Right. They knocked that fucker out of the park. They did. That is so good.
[01:04:33] Yeah. It is. Yeah. You know. I agree with you. It's like. You know me. I listen for the music in movies and shit. Yeah. Yeah. And I don't know. It's just because like. It. That form of techno works as a computer. Like. Oh. Dude. Because it took place all in the digital world. Right. So it's like. Right. Wow. Like. That. That techno sound works there. Mm-hmm. Where nine inch nails is like. Grittier. Right. So being like.
[01:05:02] How much of it's going to take place in our world. Yep. Is grittier. Yes. Dirtier. And earthier. Right. Yeah. Earthier. Yeah. That one too. Yeah. I think those three words are actually perfect for that. Yeah. No. You're right. I agree with you. Yeah. Huh. Yeah. I don't know though. It's Trent Reznor.
[01:05:31] You might get that. Yeah. Not even realize it. You'd be like. I always respected him. Him and David Bowie did a thing together. Yeah. And it was really nicely done. Yeah. I like him. I wasn't fond of that version of Bowie though. No? No. I was okay with him. It was Bowie. Bowie. Bowie was ever evolving. Bowie was great. Like. Like.
[01:05:59] David Bowie is like the Chris Jericho of music. He's constantly evolving his character. Mm-hmm. But like. Like Bowie just needed to end with like. Gucci suits and skinny ties. Yeah. No. Because he always kind of came back to that. I think there was more to Bowie that we never got. I'm sure there is. Yeah. It makes me sad. Because I. I hold David Bowie in a very high esteem. Well so do I.
[01:06:32] Like Bowie's one of the all-timers. Oh yeah. He's one of the OGs. I was also. Like. I'll get in them. Maybe it's where I want to listen to David Bowie. One came across when he was singing with Annie Lennox. Oh yeah. And that woman. Her voice. Yeah. Fuck. You want to talk about somebody who's probably underrated. Like when we talk about like. Female vocalists. Mm-hmm.
[01:07:02] Because like you talk about like. I mean. And we always do like. We talk about like. You know. Ann Wilson. Mm-hmm. And. At Benatar. And. Christy Hyde. Christy Hyde. Yeah. But who you're looking for. I'm sorry. Just throwing names out. Yeah. Yeah. Like Linda Ronstad. Mm-hmm. Stevie Nicks. Like. Like there's a. Lita Ford. Lita Ford. Like there's a list of like. Female vocalists. I can't think of her name. But the chick from Concrete Blonde. Ugh.
[01:07:32] Yeah. Her voice. Like. Yeah. Annie Lennox is probably kind of underrated. Absolutely. When you talk about. She is. She absolutely is. Like nobody ever thinks Annie Lennox. And if you listen to shit like. What she did with Bowie. Her voice is just like. So amazing. I'll go back to 1992. At the. Freddie Mercury tribute. When it was her and Bowie doing under pressure. I'm sorry. I thought you. I apologize. I was.
[01:08:02] I don't know when the movie came out. But I thought you were going to go. 1992. And Demi Moore came out with Striptease. And there was those Annie Lennox songs. On that track. Yeah. Which are on my playlist. Oh. On my daily playlist by the way. And. That. Annie Lennox at her finest. That is. Love those songs. Oh. So I thought that's where you were going. I apologize. Because I don't know when Striptease came out. I don't know what your Striptease came out either. But those. Those. Yeah.
[01:08:32] Little Bird is just. Yeah. That. If you want to know what. How great of a vocalist Sandy Lennox is. Well listen to that one. What was the other one? Money Can't Buy. Yeah. Money Can't Buy. Yeah. That song. I told you. They are on my daily playlist. You know. But that. Like. Money Can't Buy. Is so fucking good. Like. Everybody talks about like. You know. All the stuff with the arrhythmus. And that shit's great. It is. Yeah. But. But like. Little Bird. And Money Can't Buy. Like.
[01:09:02] Money Can't Buy is such a good fucking song. Especially when she starts that. Rap into. Yeah. All the diamonds. And her safe. Where she can't close it. Oh. Yeah. Yeah. She's good. Yeah. That's good shit. It is. Yeah. Everybody thinks I hate women. Yeah. Pulled that one out of my ass. There you do. Yeah. Yeah. She's showing some range. Well.
[01:09:31] I want one female to. Argue. That. No. We're wrong. Go ahead. I dare you. You. You're particular. Like. Like. You're hatred for. For Black Widow. I still don't quite understand. Um. Cause it's absolutely impossible. To miss that many bullets. Just stop. Just stop.
[01:10:01] You can say the same thing about. I'm getting the Mythbusters on it. Just so you know. It is absolutely impossible. In any world. Anyway. Jesus Christ. Go ahead. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Sorry about that. Speaking of. But there was also a. This week. They released a.
[01:10:32] What has become controversial. Um. Sneak peek at the new Superman movie. Oh. By James Gunn. Wait. Is that the one that I just watched? Yeah. With the dog? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Online. People were just. Beating it up. I'm not going to make my opinion. Until I watch it. Well. Here's my problem. Okay. Like.
[01:11:00] It comes back to that whole thing of. We want Zack Schneider back. We want that. Here. If it would have succeeded. He'd still be fucking doing these movies. Wait. Are you saying they want Zack Schneider to pull like. A. Was it Justice League that he did that? Okay. They want him to pull a Justice League out for that. No. They want. Maybe. What they want.
[01:11:30] Like. Anyway. What's going on with these people is. There's a minority of people who love what Zack Schneider did. With Man of Steel. Batman v Superman. Dawn of Justice. And then. Zack Schneider's Justice League. Gotcha. And they want to see this continue. Correct. They want that universe. The Schneiderverse. The Schneiderverse. That's what they call it.
[01:12:00] You know. To. To continue on. The problem. We've moved on. Right. Like. That's the thing they refuse to understand or comprehend is. Correct. There's. There is no going back to this. They're like. Sell it to Netflix and let Netflix make. Like. DC's not. Warner Brothers not selling the rights to Superman. Right. Right. You know what I mean?
[01:12:30] Like. This shit's not going to happen. No. Like. Zack Warren's your cat. She's scared the poop out of me. Hi baby. Hi. Like. I loved Henry Cavill. Superman. I loved. Half of his Batman. Like. I loved what they were doing. I loved Zack Schneider's Justice League. Right. But clearly. Most people didn't. And it. And it failed. Right.
[01:12:59] It failed miserably. You mean the. The one with Jared Leto in the end? Yeah. I love that one. Yeah. So do I. But I mean like. They're not going back to that. No. No. They're done. Yeah. And. Instead of being like. Well okay. That was great that we had. These people were like. They watched that clip. That. That three minute clip. And like. Well this is fucking garbage. Yeah. Watch a three minute fucking clip of a movie.
[01:13:29] Of a two plus hour movie. Yeah. Like. Like. You don't fucking know shit. No. Like. Hi. Honey. And they're comparing like. Henry Cavill. Healing by the sun. Compared to this. Well like. In this. The wrote. The sentries. Which by the way. Comic book lore. The dog. Comic book lore. Like. They're intensifying. The sun's. Radiation. To super heal. Superman. Who had. They.
[01:13:59] State. Has like. A broken spleen. Right. And like. His liver's been moved. And he has. Plus the ribs. 14 broken bones. Yeah. And so they're trying to. Intensify the healing process. Which. Guess what. Probably hurts like a motherfucker. Right. Right. That's why he's screaming. Like. You know. I don't know what to tell you. Yeah. Like. You just want to hate on this. Because it's not what you wanted anymore. Right. I'm sorry. Just like those fucking Star Wars.
[01:14:29] fans out there. Oh my gosh. Who were like. You know. That's not my Luke Skywalker. And Disney's fucked up Star Wars. And they've done nothing good. Go fuck yourself. I wouldn't say they didn't do nothing good. Well there are people who like. Like. Here's the. One of my. All time favorite things. I hear people say. Okay. Wow. Solo's a better movie.
[01:14:59] Than I thought it was. I kind of wish I would have gone to see that in theaters. Boy. So do I. Because then we might have got a sequel to it. You stupid bastard. Right. Right. But because you were all. You know. Broken dicked about like. Oh that's not my Luke Skywalker. Why is Rey the hero. The voice is fucking with me. Like. You fucking threw a boo boo face about all this shit. And you said. Well I'm not going to go see Solo.
[01:15:29] The Disney can go fuck themselves. And you find out. Wow. That wasn't a bad movie after all. Right. I kind of wish I had seen it at the time. In a theater. Oh boy. So do I. Did they say that about the other one? The one. I mean. I like Solo. But the other one. What. Rogue One. Rogue One. Oh no. Rogue One's beloved. Okay. Because. But. As it should be. But. Only because of Vader at the end. Right. I don't know. I know. But like. It's still a good movie. Right. I agree.
[01:15:59] It's still a good movie. But like. It's just. It's that thing of like. Like these people aren't getting what they wanted. And they can't accept what they're getting. And so they throw this boo-boo face. And it's what they're doing. The Superman movie. Is like. I don't like. Because it's not the guy I want to have making the movie.
[01:16:28] And it's not the guy who I wanted to play Superman. I'm just going to throw a boo-boo face about it. And boo-boo. The entire. Well meanwhile. I don't know if this movie is going to be good or bad. Like. I've seen a trailer. And I've seen a three minute snippet of the fucking movie. And I enjoyed what I saw in the trailer. I enjoyed what I saw in the three minute snippet of the movie. Does not mean the entire thing is going to be good. Right.
[01:16:56] But I believe that James Gunn has a massive plan in here. Right. And I believe in James Gunn. Right. You know. I'm. I'm going to miss. What Zack Snyder did. Right. Right. Right. I would have loved to have seen that continued. Right. But I'm. Still going to support. Like. My favorite superheroes. Yeah. I didn't think the trailer was that bad. I mean. They're like. Wow.
[01:17:26] Going off the defense. They are. Because. So are you saying those type of people. Are outnumber the ones that are like you and I. Like. Let's. Let's see what happens. Well here's what happens. Here's what happens though. So. What's going to happen is. The week before. Superman comes out. Mm-hmm. They are going to bombard. Like. Rotten Tomatoes. And IMDB. Oh. And they're just going to. Without having seen the movie. Give it bad reviews. How can they accept that. Knowing they couldn't have seen the movie yet. They just. They do for.
[01:17:55] I don't know. Like. Their algorithm sucks. They should be like. I cannot accept anything until the movie has been released. Right. They. I can't take this from a three minute trailer. They. They. They claim they saw it at a. A screening or something. I. I don't know how exactly it was. But they. They lie. They lie. But they. But they end up bombarding these sites. With bad reviews. And now the average person. Like. That average person. Like. Doesn't read comic books. But like. Wow. A Superman movie. That's a big event. I should go see a Superman movie. Right.
[01:18:26] Doesn't go. Yeah. Like. Wow. Wow. The reviews aren't that good. Yeah. Yeah. Hmm. That's the problem. And. It's terrible. It is. It's terrible. But. Think about it. But it just. It drives me insane. Because it's like. You. Like. The things I know about the movie. Are very limited. But like. Everyone's like. Well is this going to be Guardians of the Galaxy. With a Superman suit on it.
[01:18:55] I'm like. Well no. Because. James Gunn's already said. He's not putting popular music in. He's going with an orchestral score. Oh. Oh. He's already said that. So right off the bat. It's not like you're going to have like Clark Kent walking around with it. You know. His air pods in. Right. You know. Listening to Mother Love Bone or something. Like. Oh. You know what I mean. Like. You're not getting that. Oh. You threw Mother Love Bone out. Wow. I'm going to say like. Wow. It would be something like. Like. James Gunn's great at like that obscure thing. Early.
[01:19:25] Early. Yes. Like that would be something that James Gunn would throw out there. Right. Is my point. Right. Okay. And. It's that thing of like. No. He's doing something different. He's going with a full orchestral score in this. Right. It's going to be. Like. I look at it. And I'm looking at it as like. Wow. It looks like a lot like a comic book. Mm-hmm. You know. Like. Everything I've seen is very comic bookish. And. You know.
[01:19:57] Superman's in a bright. You know. Suit. Right. Not something that's been toned down and darkened. Darkened. Yeah. You know. As much as I loved Cavill as Superman. Like. That's face facts. Like. One of the complaints people have is. That suit was dark. It was. You know. But they go with a new suit. He filled it out so well. Nobody could complain though. You can't complain. Yeah. Yeah. I get that. But like. This. This suit is like. Bright blue. And bright reds. And people were. It's very. It's very.
[01:20:26] Vivid. Right. Much like the comic book. Right. Exactly. I was going to say. Just like a comic book movie. And. Oh. And so was. I'm sorry. The pop. Crypto. Crypton. Crypto. Crypto. Yeah. His cape. Was very nice and bright. Right. Just like in the comic book. Exactly. Like. You know. Like. It's. Sorry. I momentarily forgot the pop's name. That's fine. But so it just. It annoys me.
[01:20:56] Because it's just like. These people were just like. I'm just going to hate on it. To hate on it. Because it's not Zack Snyder. And I just want to be like. Get the fuck over it. Okay. Well not everything is Jared Leto. But I get over it. Right. But like. I don't tell these people. Because it's. It's like. You know. But they outweigh you. That's the problem. Is you have more people that. Are like that. Than positive. But you're being negative. Just to be negative. Right. Like.
[01:21:29] Like there are some. Who listen to this podcast. I'm not going to name names. They mock and ridicule me. Because I love a movie called. Alita Battle Angel. Oh my god. Like we can't figure out. Who you're talking about. Well they know. They'll raise their hands freely. On Twitter. But. On Twitter. On Twitter. They'll let me know. They heard me. But they. But they've never seen the movie. Right. And when I tell them. It's a really good movie.
[01:21:59] Now. Admittedly. I have bad taste. I don't think you have bad taste. Oh I do. There are movies I absolutely love. Not all the time. But there are movies I love. That are very bad. Me too. Like I love Ghost World. I don't know anybody in this world. That likes that movie. Or has even watched it. Okay. So. I know where you're feeling. But when I say. Like you should watch this movie.
[01:22:28] It's better than you think it is. Like it's like. Oh. I'll never do that. Yeah. You know. And then. It's like. Well I'll watch it if you watch Hamilton. Well the difference is between me watching Hamilton. And you watching Alita Battle Angel. Was. I know I'm not going to like Hamilton. I'm not saying Hamilton is bad. I just have no interest in it. Well. Why would they not feel the same way then. About what you're trying to get them to watch. Why can't they have that feeling. Because it's not.
[01:22:58] That. They're not saying that. They're saying it's bad. I'm saying. I don't want to watch Hamilton because I'm not going to like it. There's a huge difference. They're saying it's bad even though they haven't seen the movie. Gotcha. There are things. Like I. I always say this. Like there are things that have been made in this world that. I can't doubt. The great. The Godfather. I don't care for the Godfather. I know you don't. But I can't deny their greatness. The first two. The first two.
[01:23:28] Don't clump that third piece of shit in there. But I can't deny that. Right. You know. The first two are great. I understand. That's just not for me. You just don't care for more movies. No I don't. I really don't. But. You can't shit on a movie unless you've seen it. All you have to say is it's not my kind of movie. But I have. I guess at least I have watched the Godfather movies. I have watched all three. You haven't watched all three? Yeah. Wow. Congrats. But I just don't like them. Right.
[01:23:59] You know what I mean? But. I've reached a point in my life where like. Okay. If it doesn't look like something. Like. Hamilton does not look like something I would ever enjoy. What is Hamilton? You keep saying this movie. I don't know what Hamilton is. It's a play. Oh fuck that. It's a musical. No. And it's. It's a very popular musical. And like Disney did a recording of it. And then they put it on Disney Plus. Okay. And it was like monstrous. Who's Hamilton?
[01:24:28] Alexander Hamilton. The founder of the United States banking system. That's okay. I don't need to say something about that. Well. But it's. That would not be interesting. Right. But it is a monstrous hit. Like it is a pop culture sensation. But I'm not going to shit on the movie because I'm not interested. And I'm just like. That's not my kind of movie. Right. Where these guys. I know they enjoy science fiction. I know they enjoy fantasy. And I'm saying. This is a movie I think you'll enjoy. And they're like. Uh. Duh.
[01:24:58] No. Yeah. It looks. It looks stupid. Or it's shit before you've seen it. You can't say something shit if you've never seen it. So. Oh my gosh. That's just some sour air. Speaking of shit. Yeah. Sour air. Sour air. Dude you need to check your joys. So. Where I'm going with all this. I know. Hamilton. Blah blah. Yeah. Anyway. Like. I understand. Yeah. I understand. Believe me.
[01:25:28] I understand. I don't know why. I lost my train of thought. But I know where you were going. Yeah. I hope they do too. I hope somebody does. Because this is. This has been a train wreck. Has it? Just because we lose train of thought. And go off on these tangents. It'd be nothing. We started with magazines. And we ended up talking about slushies from sheets. Yeah. I don't know how all this works. Well there was some. No wonder nobody listened to this fucking show.
[01:25:58] But there was some nerdy stuff mentioned. There was or has been. Yes. Absolutely. I mean we talked about Velcomer. Rest in peace. R.I.P. We love everything you did. Yeah. That I saw. Yeah. I can't think of one thing I saw in the night. I was like. Ugh. God. He sucked in that. I can't. Can you? You looked at me. But I don't. I might not have seen it. I don't. I don't think there's anything he's ever done. That he's bad. Yeah.
[01:26:29] That's what I'm saying. Right. Not that he hasn't been in anything that's been bad. I'm saying. Right. That I'm saying. That sucked because of Vel Kilmer. Right. No. I don't. I don't. That. Like he's one of those actors where it's like. Like. I don't think he ever mailed it in and could get a paycheck. Right. Yeah. Like. There are actors. Who have done movies where I'm just like. What the fuck. Like. How do you get paid for that? The greatest example of this.
[01:26:58] It's a movie called. In the Name of the King. It's. It's a dungeon siege movie. Which was a. A video game. It was. Directed by Uwe Bull. You lost me on that one. Sorry. Well. Uwe Bull is like a German director. Who's like. He's a wackadoo. But anyway. Wackadoo. So he gets the rights to this movie. Mm hmm. And. They. Like. It stars.
[01:27:27] A very young Jason Statham. Who. Oh. Who survives this turd. Like. Like. This could have easily sunk the Statham ship before it got started. Oh my god. That would have been so sad. Yes. It would have. But it's got in it.
[01:27:58] When you type in your memoirs over there. Yeah. What's going on? I can't find it right now. What are you looking for? But anyway. So they. They got. They. Somehow. They got the guy. Who played the door from the Lord of the Rings. Oh. And I'm sure like. In a boardroom somewhere. Like they were talking to him. We were like. We got this guy. He's willing to do your. Are you talking about the door that Legolas was always. Yeah. Him. Like that.
[01:28:28] That amazing actor. Yeah. Somehow. He was funny. Him and Legolas played off each other very well. They're like. Somehow. He's agreed to be in your movie. We don't know how we got this to work. Because he's far too good of an actor to be in this. So he'd be perfect for the king. Right? Right? And Uli Bull's like. No. I have a man. In. In mind. For. For the king.
[01:28:58] Bring me the bandit. Burt Reynolds is the fucking king. I was hoping to God you weren't going to say that. I was hoping you were talking about. Like. Lord of the Ring King or something. But I was like. Please tell me Burt Reynolds is not going to come out of your fucking mouth. Burt Reynolds is the fucking king. Oh my God. Oh my God. What the hell was that? I don't know. The grandchildren screaming in horror. Finding out that Burt Reynolds played a king.
[01:29:33] Yeah. Listen to this cast. Okay. Yeah. Jason Statham is the lead. Okay. Ron Perlman. Oh. Ray Liotta. Ooh. John Rhys Davies is the guy I was. Yes. I know who that is. Yeah. Yeah. Lee Lee Skobitsky. Yes. Yes. The last name. Yes. I recognize that. Claire Furloni. I don't know. I'm. I'm struggling.
[01:30:03] Okay. She. But she was. She was a mystery man. I know who it is. I know who it is. She was the waitress. Yes. Yes. Ben Affleck liked. Yes. She was in a Jared Leto movie by the way with Christian Slater. But go ahead. Matthew Lillard. God. I know that name. One of the two killers from the first Scream movie. Gotcha. Yes. Yeah. Uh-huh.
[01:30:32] He's not Skeetor. The other guy. Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. I mean. And. Burt Reynolds is the king. I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I don't mean to laugh. But. Fuck. Because when you think royalty. Oh. You think the big one. I don't. I don't. It is one of the. This German. Director. Yeah. Yeah. It is. And Burt Reynolds is so desperate for a paycheck. He's like. Don. So. And he did it. Like. He's just like.
[01:31:04] Like. I was just waiting for him to just be on like a horse. And be like. And ride off. You know. With a cowboy hat on. Instead of a crown. I know. Here's the worst part. This is going to hurt you. I'm about to inflict pain on you. Oh my God. Beanie. You hear this? Pain. There were three in the name of the king movies. Okay. The second one. The. The. The top name. The. The name on the poster. Was. Was Dolph Lundgren. Oh my God.
[01:31:34] And. In the name of the king three. The top star. Dominic Purcell. What? When did that come out? Let me look here. Was it before or after prison break? I think it was after. Oh. Is he desperate? Well he did that blade. Yeah. Because it was 2014. Oh my God. I gotta watch that one. A modern day assassin. Wanting out. Is hired for one final job.
[01:32:04] They kidnapped the kids of a local businessman. Things go haywire when it turns out he is chosen to return to the middle ages. Bring order to a kingdom in chaos. What? What? It's like all kinds of waffles.
[01:32:31] The 100% transforms from modern day hitman to medieval warrior. In this action packed adventure inspired by the video game series Dungeon Siege. Experience all the mind blowing special effects. Oh I'll bet they're mind blowing. That bring the non stop action to life. So any contract killer is transported back to the middle ages where he must fight a massive army and a fire breathing dragon in an all out battle of survival.
[01:33:01] Oh my God. Oh. What have you done? Oh how badly did he need a fucking paycheck? I don't know what I'm telling you. He had some really good ones after prison break so that really surprises me. Wow. Oh. Whew. That was a good laugh though. I mean I don't mean to laugh at him but. I need to find where I can. I need to. I need to go to just watch.
[01:33:31] I need to look this up. You need to watch the trailer. I don't want to watch. I just want to know where I can watch the movie. Oh let me know. Wait was that after all that. I don't know. Him playing heat wave. Was it heat wave? Yeah. Is that. What year was that? Um that probably around the same time.
[01:34:01] So he wouldn't need a paycheck. He was on that big show. Ah. He. He stayed after. Yeah. It's only available to rent or buy. On what? You can rent it on Fandango at home for $3.99. Or you can buy it on Apple TV for $9.99. Wow. As bad as that movie. I'm sure is. I am not spending that kind of money to watch it. Not even $4.23. Yeah. But no.
[01:34:32] I'm saying he was in that. Yeah. And he was in it longer than. No. It was a WB show. So I'm sure it didn't pay that well. But you can't. There's no way that man needed a paycheck after prison break. And then going into that and the other shit. He was on Blade. He hit the Blade movie. That was before though. That was before prison break even I think. No it wasn't. Sabine Wren. It absolutely was not after. It was after prison break. Okay.
[01:35:02] And then he was in that one where he went overseas to find the giant alligator that was killing. That one. We don't speak of Blade 3. Come on. That movie's fucking horrible. I'm not saying it's good. It's just it's Blade. Goochoo. Oh my god. That killed me. That fucking killed. Every time. Every fucking time I watch that movie. Goochoo. Goochoo. Fuck.
[01:35:33] Sometimes I wish you did a video of your show. Oh. You have to get into character with it. Like because Blade's holding the baby. Dracula throws in the baby. Blade catches the baby. And he's holding it. He's got a cradle. He's like. Goochoo. Does this little thing with a finger and everything. It's like so fucking bad. Stop doing that please. Oh my god. Go get Luna. I'll do it with her right now.
[01:36:03] Goochoo. Goochoo. Oh. It's the fucking worst. Oh my god. Please stop doing that. I mean that was like Dominic for selling his most wooden too. Like. You were talking about somebody cashed in for a paycheck. Like he was just like. Yeah I'll fucking be Dracula. I don't give a fuck. Yeah. And it's such a shame. Because Dominic. Day Walker. I know. And he's better than that. About that one. Just like the sink.
[01:36:34] He's that better. Not anymore. He's not that bad. He's a. I put. He ain't no Wentworth Miller. It's important. I put Dominic Purcell in the same category as. Old what's his name from Fast and Furious. Old Don. Vin Diesel? Vin Diesel. Wooden can act. No no no no no no no.
[01:37:02] I think he has more character than Vin Diesel. Ugh. And you know. How much I like Vin Diesel. Don't be talking about Diesel man. It's for family. Vin Diesel has been proven to be an asshole. Don't even. Oh it's not. That I've seen. I don't care. I don't want to hear it. All I know is somehow. Vin Diesel. Turned. The triple X franchise. Into the. I'm telling.
[01:37:32] That was when I was like Vin. Yeah well. Vin. I. I. Yeah I am. I've been a loyal fan. But this is just utter bullshit. That even I cannot swallow. And when he dropped the family line. I'm like is this fucking. A Fast and the Furious movie? Yeah. I know. No I'm telling you. The fucking motorbike. Turning into a goddamn water ski. I was done. I was done. I was like Vin. I can't do this anymore.
[01:38:02] You gotta stop. Come on. You're better than this. Come on buddy. Pick yourself up. Do better. And you know what's really sad is like. When I really got into Vin Diesel. I was collecting all the old stuff. Like the first stuff that he was coming out with. Yeah. And it wasn't all that bad. You know what I mean? Like boiler room and all that. He was not that bad in them. Like what. That ego. Got so far into his fucking head. It ruined his fucking goddamn acting career.
[01:38:30] I believe that's what happened to Vin Diesel. Well he got power. Yeah. Like. He is single handedly kept the Thrust and the Furious franchise alive. Well that's only because. His counterpart can't. The person that probably would have kept it alive. Because he was in movies that Vin wasn't in. He was in one movie Vin wasn't in. It didn't matter. I believe. That if he was still alive. He would have been the one that was pushing us.
[01:39:00] No. I don't know. That's all Vin. Vin had that power well before he passed away. Either way. The ego ruined his acting. I firmly believe that. That's one person that where that ego went to his head. That you thought you were better than God. You aren't. I tapped out. Like. I never thought he was a good actor. But after watching Babylon AD. I was like. Yo. He is a bad actor. Yeah. I don't blame him for that.
[01:39:28] I don't even understand the fucking story. Like. You can't blame him for that bad movie. I'm sorry. I. I am not even sticking up for him in that movie. I'm just saying you cannot blame him. For. Like. What the fuck were we even watching? Like. He was just an actor in that movie. You can't be taking it to the movie theater to see that shit. He did not write that movie. Oh. Yeah. Like. Somebody needs to explain that fucking movie to me. I have wasted so many hours of my life trying to figure that movie out.
[01:39:57] Vin should be paying me at this point. I don't. If I can explain it to him properly. He'll give you a paycheck. Anything you'd like to add to the proceedings? No. Well.
