[00:00:04] It's time to feel the rage. Welcome to Film Rage where we talk movies in theaters streaming and classic films as well. Directors and actors beware as you cannot hide from the rage. My name is Bryson. I'm part of the Film Rage crew, which also includes Jim. Hey there, Jim. Hey, hey, Bryce. Waka waka. Waka waka. That's Fozzie Bear, man. Is that a Groucho thing? I don't know what you're doing. I don't either. And also we have the Merman.

[00:00:34] Merman is here. He's in studio and he's wearing his Minnesota Vikings shirt. Skull! You feeling good about the Vikings this year? I am. Are you? I am. Eh. You know what I'm feeling about Vikings. Well, whatever. Just because you lost money on it. I don't lose any money on it. Vikings have been good to me this year. So with the introductions out of the way, let's rage on. Well, thanks to all that have been supporting us. If you love our independent podcast,

[00:01:05] please like, subscribe, share, and give us five-star rating on your listening platform or support us and join the Film Rage community by joining our membership at buymeacoffee.com forward slash Film Rage YYC.

[00:01:21] Now, let's get to raging.

[00:01:23] What does the amazing moment predict? What does the amazing moment predict? Will he get the rage or will he predict the mondo?

[00:01:38] Will he tell us all what Jim and Bryce saw at the movies?

[00:01:43] Watch out now, kids, because here he comes.

[00:01:47] He's coming swimming to you.

[00:01:51] Swimmery, swimmery.

[00:01:53] Swimmery swim.

[00:01:54] Oh, swimmery, swimmery.

[00:01:57] Swimmery swim.

[00:01:59] Swim all the way to our hearts, our tender little hearts.

[00:02:04] Tender, tender, tender.

[00:02:06] Swimmery swim.

[00:02:07] Swimmery swim.

[00:02:07] Yeah, by some miracle.

[00:02:10] Miracles!

[00:02:11] There are only two movies on here.

[00:02:13] What?

[00:02:14] Unless I can't read whatever the color is he used.

[00:02:16] He shouldn't use blue.

[00:02:18] Blue is the merman color.

[00:02:20] Yeah.

[00:02:21] Aqua blue is the merman color.

[00:02:22] I can't read it anyway.

[00:02:24] Yeah, there were two movies.

[00:02:26] Yep.

[00:02:26] Which I didn't go to either one of them.

[00:02:28] No!

[00:02:30] One I was thought about going to, but I decided I didn't want to after all.

[00:02:34] So, we have got here, which is the newest one by Robert Zemeckis.

[00:02:38] I've heard of him.

[00:02:39] Who's actually one of my favorite directors.

[00:02:41] He's made some good stuff.

[00:02:42] Not top five, but one of my favorites.

[00:02:44] He's made some good stuff.

[00:02:45] He's made some good stuff.

[00:02:45] And, of course, it's got the Tom of the Hanks.

[00:02:49] Yeah.

[00:02:50] And his old castmate from what I consider one of his overrated movies of all time.

[00:02:56] The Gump.

[00:02:58] Reunited after all these years.

[00:02:59] And reunited with Zemeckis.

[00:03:02] And Zemeckis.

[00:03:02] That's what I mean.

[00:03:03] It was all three of them right there.

[00:03:05] But nothing to do.

[00:03:06] It wasn't a Forrest Gump sequel, which people thought it might have been.

[00:03:10] But anyway.

[00:03:10] Probably.

[00:03:11] Well, they could CGI that in.

[00:03:13] Yeah.

[00:03:13] From what I could tell.

[00:03:14] They had a CGI threesome.

[00:03:16] Seen the trailer like a dozen times.

[00:03:18] Animated wieners.

[00:03:20] And boobies.

[00:03:21] But after seeing Tom and Robin both on late night talk shows talking about this movie.

[00:03:28] Yeah.

[00:03:28] The whole movie takes place in the fucking living room.

[00:03:33] That's not true.

[00:03:34] It's not true.

[00:03:35] Well, no.

[00:03:35] Because in the trailer.

[00:03:36] It takes place in the same place.

[00:03:37] Because in the trailer you see dinosaurs and cavemen and like settlers.

[00:03:42] And I'm like, is that part of the movie?

[00:03:45] And they're all in it too.

[00:03:46] There is some fucking in the living room also.

[00:03:48] There is.

[00:03:49] But no.

[00:03:49] It's like one shot with like the world passing them by through their picture window.

[00:03:55] I'm like, that does sound too weird to me.

[00:03:58] I don't know.

[00:03:58] I'm sure it was a decent movie.

[00:04:01] I just don't think you guys loved it that much.

[00:04:02] So I say double meh.

[00:04:04] All right.

[00:04:05] Then we have my old friend.

[00:04:11] Old man Liam Neeson.

[00:04:13] Old man Neeson.

[00:04:14] I saw the trailer.

[00:04:15] I didn't need to see the trailer.

[00:04:17] Get off my lawn, kids.

[00:04:19] Old man Liam Neeson kicking ass.

[00:04:22] I could have placed money in Vegas that you two would have raged about this one.

[00:04:28] So double rage.

[00:04:29] If you put it above a rage, I'll be shocked.

[00:04:32] Shocked.

[00:04:33] All right.

[00:04:33] Thanks.

[00:04:34] Anyway.

[00:04:35] Interesting.

[00:04:36] Which is a pretty bankable thing with old man.

[00:04:38] It is with you two.

[00:04:40] I probably would have got it to at least a meh.

[00:04:42] Depending on how many asses you kicked.

[00:04:44] You don't know.

[00:04:46] Maybe.

[00:04:46] You don't know.

[00:04:47] Actually, this one.

[00:04:48] Then prove me wrong.

[00:04:50] Not to give too much away.

[00:04:51] But this one might have actually made Murray rage.

[00:04:54] You think?

[00:04:55] Maybe.

[00:04:56] Maybe.

[00:04:57] I doubt it.

[00:04:58] But it has CLF in it.

[00:04:59] You're right.

[00:05:04] All right.

[00:05:04] So we did see here.

[00:05:05] We did.

[00:05:06] We saw it there, though.

[00:05:08] We saw it there, not here.

[00:05:08] We didn't see here here.

[00:05:10] We saw it here there.

[00:05:11] And we didn't see here now.

[00:05:12] We saw here a couple days ago.

[00:05:15] You saw here then.

[00:05:16] Yeah.

[00:05:16] We did see here then.

[00:05:18] Not now.

[00:05:19] So here, which is based on a graphic novel that takes place in one small space and tells

[00:05:25] its story from the beginning of time.

[00:05:28] Possibly an interesting concept for a graphic novel with static images, but not so good for

[00:05:33] a moving picture.

[00:05:35] The story jumps around from time to time.

[00:05:38] We see dinosaurs and then some Native Americans.

[00:05:42] And then we're in the 1910s.

[00:05:45] Right now.

[00:05:46] They almost had their living room.

[00:05:47] And then the 40s, which features the only interesting people in the film, the inventor

[00:05:52] of the Relaxy Boy, later to be renamed with the far inferior moniker, Lazy Boy.

[00:06:00] Yes, totally.

[00:06:01] And his free-spirited wife.

[00:06:03] I actually enjoyed them and there wasn't near enough of them in it.

[00:06:06] If we could see the actual Lazy Boy story.

[00:06:10] Yes.

[00:06:10] If that's real.

[00:06:11] If it is real.

[00:06:13] That's the movie I want to see.

[00:06:14] But that wasn't the Tom.

[00:06:15] But for the most part, the film follows Richard, played by Thomas Hanks.

[00:06:21] As he meanders his way through his mundane life.

[00:06:26] He meets Margaret and his teens, played by Robin Wright.

[00:06:30] And their boring story dominates much of the film.

[00:06:36] Oh, and I almost forgot.

[00:06:38] They tacked on a black family that seems like they were thinking to themselves, man, other

[00:06:45] than the brief scene with the Native Americans, this film is maybe a little too white.

[00:06:52] It's very white.

[00:06:53] It's so white.

[00:06:54] So let's tack on a black family.

[00:06:56] Yeah.

[00:06:56] Because that's not what America is about at all.

[00:06:58] Now, some of the scenes with them are actually probably the most poignant of the film.

[00:07:03] I mean, at least these scenes make a bit of a statement.

[00:07:06] They do seem tacked on, though, which makes this very white movie.

[00:07:12] Still white.

[00:07:13] Tries to make it less so, but it just doesn't.

[00:07:15] Anyways, this was awful.

[00:07:18] The CGI people as they get younger and older was awful.

[00:07:24] And the simplistic dialogue was awful.

[00:07:28] I mean, come on.

[00:07:29] Did we have to see Margaret say like over and over how time flies?

[00:07:34] I mean, she must have made that statement 47 times in this movie.

[00:07:38] And she was in it for like 45 minutes.

[00:07:41] So that's over one time a minute.

[00:07:44] That's what you call a catchphrase.

[00:07:45] Yeah.

[00:07:46] The overall concept was awful.

[00:07:48] This was just not good.

[00:07:51] This was a total rage.

[00:07:53] I hated this movie.

[00:07:55] And I don't know.

[00:07:56] I'd like to say I actually do want to see the making of it.

[00:07:59] Because was this like was there was a living room even green screen and they just put these CGI images over top of it?

[00:08:06] Like, was there any actual actors involved?

[00:08:08] Or was this all CGI?

[00:08:09] Like, I don't even know.

[00:08:10] Were they just behind a microphone voicing the CGI?

[00:08:14] Is this an animated film?

[00:08:15] Is this going to be like their nomination for best animated feature?

[00:08:20] Even though it could never win because the most horrible animated movie of the year is better than this garbage that I had to sit through.

[00:08:30] Wait, if this was an animated film, this was the worst animated film.

[00:08:33] This was the worst animated movie.

[00:08:34] And I think it was animated.

[00:08:36] I don't think there was a real person in it.

[00:08:38] No human being.

[00:08:39] I don't think there was.

[00:08:40] I think it was all animated.

[00:08:41] I don't.

[00:08:42] And I think that the static shots were all CGI too.

[00:08:44] I'm convinced of it.

[00:08:46] Dude.

[00:08:47] But you.

[00:08:47] Hold on.

[00:08:48] So you're trying to tell me.

[00:08:49] Yes.

[00:08:50] After watching this movie.

[00:08:51] Yeah.

[00:08:52] That that amazing CGI hummingbird wasn't amazing?

[00:08:55] No, it wasn't amazing.

[00:08:56] It was awful.

[00:08:58] The CGI hummingbird was probably.

[00:09:00] It was better than watching plastic face Tom Hanks, but it was awful.

[00:09:06] Everything in this was awful.

[00:09:07] This was like, why did they make this?

[00:09:10] Why did somebody look at this graphic novel that took place in one place and thought, you know what?

[00:09:15] I can make a two hour interesting movie out of this.

[00:09:18] No, you can't.

[00:09:19] This is, this can't be done.

[00:09:22] At least not by Zemeckis.

[00:09:23] Maybe.

[00:09:24] I don't know who could do it.

[00:09:25] If someone could step up the plate and do it.

[00:09:28] Cause I would love to see this movie if it was, it was entertaining at all, but I don't

[00:09:31] know how you even make it entertaining.

[00:09:33] You know what would have made this entertaining is if relax a boy sponsored it.

[00:09:38] Yeah.

[00:09:38] Maybe.

[00:09:39] Right.

[00:09:40] Relaxy boy.

[00:09:41] Yeah.

[00:09:42] Okay.

[00:09:42] Well, let me tell you a little bit about what I thought of here.

[00:09:46] All right.

[00:09:47] Okay.

[00:09:48] So do you remember the cool things we really liked in Forrest Gump?

[00:09:54] Yes.

[00:09:54] You know, all the things from time past and had it incorporated right into the story.

[00:10:00] It was so fun.

[00:10:01] Meeting JFK.

[00:10:02] Yeah.

[00:10:03] All those really cool things that were, you know, back in the day.

[00:10:06] I haven't even seen the movie and I know all that stuff.

[00:10:07] Exactly.

[00:10:08] So I guess Zemeckis liked that stuff enough.

[00:10:11] Cause he kind of tried to do this in this movie too.

[00:10:15] A little bit.

[00:10:15] Except without going outside the house.

[00:10:17] Except not going outside the house.

[00:10:19] You know, like I'm not sure what the purpose of the relax a boy was.

[00:10:22] I can say that I'm sure glad he added that cause that was the best thing in the movie.

[00:10:27] That's the only good thing in the movie.

[00:10:28] That's right.

[00:10:29] Okay.

[00:10:30] Except in this one, he puts together a movie that takes place as Murray has already

[00:10:35] said and Bryce has also agreed in one spot.

[00:10:39] Yeah.

[00:10:39] Not in a living room.

[00:10:40] No, in a spot.

[00:10:41] It's in one spot.

[00:10:43] Except at the end.

[00:10:45] Here's a spoiler for everybody who may not have seen this yet, but may see it after we

[00:10:50] talk about it.

[00:10:51] Is that there is a scene in the movie at the end, which could be the biggest surprise

[00:10:57] of this whole movie.

[00:10:59] It actually blew Bryce away.

[00:11:01] He was like, what?

[00:11:03] I can't believe they just showed this.

[00:11:06] I heard somebody dies in it.

[00:11:08] Maybe.

[00:11:09] But cause that's, I don't want to spoil that.

[00:11:12] But what I do want to say is the very ending made Bryce excited.

[00:11:17] That's all I want to say.

[00:11:18] I don't even remember.

[00:11:19] You're going to have to tell me about this after the podcast.

[00:11:22] I don't remember being excited.

[00:11:24] Can you give me a hint?

[00:11:25] I'm going to, okay.

[00:11:26] Let me talk a little bit more and then I will tell your spoiler for you.

[00:11:29] Okay.

[00:11:30] Perfect.

[00:11:30] If it wasn't Doc Brown and Marty McFly, I'm not interested.

[00:11:33] There you go.

[00:11:34] Well, then you're not, then you're not interested.

[00:11:36] Okay.

[00:11:36] So we go through a bunch of time back and forth, somewhat telling stories about a bunch of

[00:11:41] people, but here's the kicker.

[00:11:44] With so much CGI, you'd think you were in a Peter Jackson film.

[00:11:50] Yes.

[00:11:50] And the whole while as I'm watching this, I'm just waiting for Gollum to show up.

[00:11:56] Oh yes.

[00:11:57] He did a couple of times.

[00:12:00] Whenever tomorrow, Hanks, as I want to call him, and his CGI face showed up.

[00:12:07] Gollum.

[00:12:08] Gollum.

[00:12:09] I was just expecting him to say that a couple of times.

[00:12:11] Ultimately, there was some uniqueness with the stage play feel to this film, but it is

[00:12:18] also, as Bryce has already alluded to, completely boring.

[00:12:23] And the CGI really takes you out of the feel of this film that I think they were possibly

[00:12:28] going for.

[00:12:29] I'm not sure.

[00:12:30] Then again, I have no clue what they were wanting us to feel in this movie.

[00:12:36] I have no clue.

[00:12:37] After watching this movie, usually I can say, okay, the director wanted us to feel and

[00:12:43] fill in the blank.

[00:12:43] I have no clue what that feeling was.

[00:12:46] Because you never really get to know anyone in the movie other than in a moment in time

[00:12:51] in their living room.

[00:12:53] On top of that, the acting was all dated feeling.

[00:12:57] I'm not sure how you felt about that, but I felt that they were trying to somehow kind

[00:13:02] of have a 1940s acting feel to it.

[00:13:06] But it didn't progress with the movie so that it was like, you know what I mean?

[00:13:09] Like if it was really obvious that now they're doing 1910 silent movie stuff, that might've

[00:13:14] been cool.

[00:13:15] Like if they would have said, okay, now you're in 1910.

[00:13:17] And then, you know, if it was back in the 1800s, then it could have been more like, and then

[00:13:23] it could have been back when it was before that, the cave drawings or something.

[00:13:27] I have no clue.

[00:13:28] But what I can tell you.

[00:13:31] That's true.

[00:13:32] You do have no clue.

[00:13:33] Yes.

[00:13:33] I still have no clue.

[00:13:35] But maybe that's the point.

[00:13:36] I have no clue.

[00:13:37] There's no point.

[00:13:38] I could not get into this film at all.

[00:13:42] And I tried.

[00:13:43] I desperately tried.

[00:13:46] It's such a huge rage for me.

[00:13:48] I also hated just about every single thing in this movie.

[00:13:52] So bad.

[00:13:53] Yeah.

[00:13:53] And I just, and I'm sorry, the CGI fricking aging people and making them younger.

[00:13:59] It's just got to stop.

[00:14:01] It won't.

[00:14:01] I don't care if you get someone to play the younger version of whoever, and they don't

[00:14:06] even look like them.

[00:14:07] I don't care.

[00:14:08] I just can't take the CGI garbage anymore.

[00:14:11] You mean like the Furiosa where they use both actors and mesh them together with a CGI person

[00:14:19] in between.

[00:14:19] Yeah.

[00:14:20] Like that.

[00:14:20] Like that.

[00:14:21] But there is one thing I want to unpack.

[00:14:23] Yes.

[00:14:24] Okay.

[00:14:24] So as we're listening to this, Murray, I turned to Bryce and I said, is this John Williams score

[00:14:31] in this?

[00:14:31] I wouldn't be surprised.

[00:14:33] And he's like, do you mean because it sounds like Jurassic Park only slowed down?

[00:14:39] Well, it was a dinosaur and it wasn't there.

[00:14:41] Yeah.

[00:14:41] So, I mean, I don't know.

[00:14:42] Like, was it just me or did everybody else listen to this?

[00:14:46] I thought he had finished doing soundtracks with me.

[00:14:48] I'm wrong.

[00:14:49] Well, he didn't do the soundtrack for this.

[00:14:51] No, he didn't.

[00:14:51] Just as an FYI.

[00:14:52] But it sounded like a direct ripoff of a John Williams film.

[00:14:57] It influenced a lot of people.

[00:14:58] Yeah.

[00:14:58] Well.

[00:15:00] FYI, there is now a documentary about him.

[00:15:02] On Disney, which I still have.

[00:15:04] John Williams?

[00:15:05] Yeah.

[00:15:06] Yeah, there is actually.

[00:15:06] I might have to watch that.

[00:15:08] You're right.

[00:15:09] Somebody famous directed it.

[00:15:10] I can't remember who.

[00:15:10] Is there anything else you want to say about here?

[00:15:13] I don't even want to really talk about this movie anymore.

[00:15:17] No more air to breathe?

[00:15:19] It's just so bad.

[00:15:21] Yeah.

[00:15:22] Like, I thought about going to see this because I love most everybody who's in it except for

[00:15:26] What's-Her-Name.

[00:15:28] But, yeah.

[00:15:28] Who's What's-Her-Name?

[00:15:29] I don't know who What's-Her-Name is.

[00:15:30] Janay.

[00:15:31] Oh, Robin Wright?

[00:15:32] Yeah, her.

[00:15:33] Robin Wright Penn?

[00:15:34] She's awesome.

[00:15:35] I never saw a force fight.

[00:15:36] Yeah, what's wrong with Sean Penn's ex-wife?

[00:15:38] I don't know.

[00:15:39] She's all right.

[00:15:39] She was in our Wonder Woman movie, I think.

[00:15:41] But, yeah.

[00:15:41] Whatever.

[00:15:42] But, no.

[00:15:43] It just looked too weird.

[00:15:45] And I thought, as soon as I found out, it all took place in their living room.

[00:15:48] And I'm like...

[00:15:49] No, it wasn't.

[00:15:50] It was in one place.

[00:15:51] It was in one place.

[00:15:52] I mean, most of the shots.

[00:15:53] And the camera didn't even move.

[00:15:55] No.

[00:15:56] It was like top left.

[00:15:56] It does move.

[00:15:58] It does move.

[00:15:59] Does it move?

[00:15:59] And there's the spoiler.

[00:16:00] Oh.

[00:16:01] Yeah.

[00:16:01] That Bryce got so excited about.

[00:16:03] Because they actually moved the shot.

[00:16:04] At the very end of the movie...

[00:16:06] Hey, the camera's moving.

[00:16:07] The camera's moving.

[00:16:08] And it turned around.

[00:16:10] And you got to see the other side of what the camera was showing.

[00:16:14] And he was like...

[00:16:14] What, the director and the crew?

[00:16:16] No, no.

[00:16:17] Well, I was actually confused about the layout of the house, too.

[00:16:20] Because I was like, what in the hell?

[00:16:21] Like, why is it the camera there?

[00:16:23] Why is the kitchen table in their living room?

[00:16:25] Why is the kitchen table in their living room?

[00:16:27] Exactly.

[00:16:28] And it still made no sense.

[00:16:29] Well, they had a perfectly good kitchen.

[00:16:31] Yeah.

[00:16:31] Well, they had a...

[00:16:32] Right behind the camera.

[00:16:33] Yeah.

[00:16:33] There was like a big dining room behind it.

[00:16:35] Well, no.

[00:16:36] There was a big dining room behind it.

[00:16:38] Who eats meals in the dining room?

[00:16:39] I don't know what the layout of that...

[00:16:40] I still don't know what the hell they were doing.

[00:16:42] I don't know.

[00:16:42] It's not like they had like...

[00:16:43] Because they did sometimes set up...

[00:16:44] Remember, there was an inside joke, apparently, with the CGI actors of having to set up a card

[00:16:50] table when the place gets full.

[00:16:52] And I'm thinking to myself, you have a giant dining room.

[00:16:56] Yeah.

[00:16:56] Is that just sit vacant?

[00:16:57] And then you just open up a card table in your living room?

[00:17:01] That was so many thing, wasn't it?

[00:17:02] Bring up the card tables.

[00:17:02] Yeah.

[00:17:02] I mean, you can open up as many fucking card tables as you want.

[00:17:05] But when you got a giant dining room to eat in, why the fuck are we having...

[00:17:09] Why didn't they just push...

[00:17:10] It's literally like three feet from the card table that you just set up to eat at.

[00:17:14] Yeah.

[00:17:14] Like, it's just so dumb.

[00:17:16] On top of the movie being completely boring.

[00:17:19] It just makes no sense.

[00:17:20] It also makes no sense.

[00:17:21] Well, I don't know.

[00:17:22] I don't think I want to pay money to see this.

[00:17:24] Well...

[00:17:24] So, yeah.

[00:17:25] I probably wouldn't have hated it as much as you guys, but I don't think I would have

[00:17:27] loved it.

[00:17:28] Well, you know what?

[00:17:29] When it comes on streaming, I'm anxious to see what the mirror says.

[00:17:32] All right.

[00:17:32] Well, let's...

[00:17:33] Because it's poop.

[00:17:34] Let's talk about the elephant in the room.

[00:17:37] Old man, Liam Neeson.

[00:17:38] Yes.

[00:17:39] Yes.

[00:17:39] So, first of note, this is not your ordinary Liam Neeson movie.

[00:17:45] Apparently, he's dying or something.

[00:17:48] He's dying in every movie.

[00:17:49] Losing his memory or some shit.

[00:17:50] That's all...

[00:17:51] He does that in every movie.

[00:17:52] He does that.

[00:17:52] Yeah.

[00:17:52] Yeah.

[00:17:53] That's part of the shit these days.

[00:17:55] So, I mean, it has...

[00:17:57] From the director of Cold Pursuit.

[00:17:59] Yeah.

[00:17:59] So, it has elements of Liam Neeson movies.

[00:18:02] Yeah.

[00:18:02] Like, he's old.

[00:18:04] Yeah.

[00:18:04] He's a gangster.

[00:18:06] Yeah.

[00:18:06] Or, in some cases, he's a man with a particular set of skills.

[00:18:11] He has memory loss, which we have seen in multiple movies in the last couple years.

[00:18:17] Mm-hmm.

[00:18:18] But then again, you know what?

[00:18:20] Maybe I can't remember.

[00:18:24] What can't you remember?

[00:18:25] You know, how many movies that he was losing his memory in.

[00:18:29] Oh, yeah.

[00:18:30] You know what I'm saying?

[00:18:31] Yeah.

[00:18:31] I think it's 42.

[00:18:33] Oh, okay.

[00:18:33] There you go.

[00:18:34] Because he's now made like 9,000 movies.

[00:18:37] Yes.

[00:18:38] Certainly not as many as Eric Roberts.

[00:18:40] Not as many as Eric Roberts.

[00:18:41] That's right.

[00:18:42] And 8,900 of those have been in the last four years.

[00:18:45] Yeah.

[00:18:45] Except Eric Roberts beats him out with 50 in 2024.

[00:18:49] And we haven't even got there.

[00:18:50] I got it.

[00:18:50] You got all that information up IMDb, though.

[00:18:53] So, I'll take that with a grain of salt.

[00:18:56] He's not wrong.

[00:18:57] He's in all those movies.

[00:18:58] I've never seen him in anything.

[00:19:00] So, I don't know what you're talking about.

[00:19:01] I previewed for two different festivals.

[00:19:03] And I've seen him in pretty much half the movies I watch.

[00:19:05] He's in them.

[00:19:06] Seriously.

[00:19:07] He has a two-minute part, but he's in every movie I watch.

[00:19:09] I know.

[00:19:10] That's the same for me.

[00:19:11] All right.

[00:19:12] So, aside from Eric Roberts.

[00:19:13] But in this particular movie, it's not all action and driving and shooting.

[00:19:20] Yeah.

[00:19:20] There's a kid in there somewhere.

[00:19:21] And laughing at him, trying to run.

[00:19:23] Yes.

[00:19:24] Of course, those things do happen in this movie, obviously, except for the running part.

[00:19:28] He doesn't run.

[00:19:29] That was disappointing.

[00:19:29] Yeah.

[00:19:29] That was the disappointment.

[00:19:31] But...

[00:19:32] You want to see him run.

[00:19:33] I do.

[00:19:33] It's now funny.

[00:19:35] He's like 80 years old.

[00:19:36] I know.

[00:19:36] It hurts me to watch him run, but at the same time, it amuses me.

[00:19:40] Brings you so much joy.

[00:19:42] Yeah.

[00:19:42] So, of course, these things are in the movie, but not what the movie is.

[00:19:49] And that is the difference between most old man Neeson movies.

[00:19:55] He's forgot a lot of things before we get to him.

[00:19:58] And he is basically looking for atonement from his past with his estranged daughter and finds

[00:20:05] a love interest who's almost as broken as he is.

[00:20:08] At this point, I would like to say, for the most part, the secondary characters in this,

[00:20:14] I thought, did an awesome job.

[00:20:15] Especially Yolanda Ross, who plays his girlfriend.

[00:20:18] Yeah, she's very good.

[00:20:19] Otherwise known as Woman.

[00:20:21] Yeah, she is Woman.

[00:20:22] And Liam's character goes by the name Thug.

[00:20:26] Yes.

[00:20:26] That's his character's name, Thug?

[00:20:27] That's his name.

[00:20:28] Awesome.

[00:20:28] That's not his name.

[00:20:30] That's just...

[00:20:30] That's the name that he's credited with.

[00:20:33] Yes.

[00:20:33] We don't know his name.

[00:20:35] Because they never tell you his name.

[00:20:36] Nobody ever says his name.

[00:20:37] And they don't know anything about Woman.

[00:20:38] But every single other character does have a real name.

[00:20:42] The hell you say!

[00:20:44] That's kind of a dumb gimmick.

[00:20:46] Yeah, you know what?

[00:20:47] It didn't bother me.

[00:20:49] Well, that's all they do.

[00:20:50] Who cares?

[00:20:50] At the end of the day, we learn that after the movie.

[00:20:53] Yeah.

[00:20:54] Yep.

[00:20:55] So there is some holes in the story, and there are a lot of threads in the story,

[00:20:59] which some clothes and others don't.

[00:21:03] Some just don't nowhere.

[00:21:04] Yeah.

[00:21:04] And some of the characters and their relationships with Liam are fleshed out properly,

[00:21:08] and some are not.

[00:21:10] Yeah.

[00:21:10] But ultimately, by the time we get to the end of this film,

[00:21:14] he has probably achieved absolution from his life of sin.

[00:21:19] Well, maybe.

[00:21:20] I don't know.

[00:21:21] But the ending, I really liked.

[00:21:23] And although I think it was a little longer than I wish,

[00:21:29] but you can kind of predict everything.

[00:21:32] I'm not going to say you can't.

[00:21:33] It didn't bother me as much as it unfolded.

[00:21:36] I mean, this character is a dick, for the most part.

[00:21:40] But you kind of respect him a little bit more by the end.

[00:21:44] Yeah.

[00:21:44] Way to go, Liam!

[00:21:45] That's all I want to say.

[00:21:47] After his last film, if everybody remembers on this podcast,

[00:21:52] I literally begged Bryce to not make me watch another Liam Neeson movie.

[00:21:57] Yet you still went to one.

[00:21:58] Yeah, I did, because we only had two movie choices.

[00:22:00] That's what we do.

[00:22:01] Yeah.

[00:22:02] We go to movies.

[00:22:03] That's right.

[00:22:04] But with this one, I'm kind of glad I didn't give up on him.

[00:22:08] Because I had all but given up on him.

[00:22:10] Yeah.

[00:22:11] I don't blame you.

[00:22:12] Yeah.

[00:22:12] Or maybe it was because we only had two movies.

[00:22:15] So if I gave up, I would have only got to seeing one.

[00:22:18] And I wouldn't have got Giggling Bryce in between movies.

[00:22:20] I would have dragged you to it anyways.

[00:22:22] No, of course.

[00:22:23] It's just what we do.

[00:22:24] It's what we do.

[00:22:25] We go to movies.

[00:22:27] They're not all winners.

[00:22:29] But what did you think of this one?

[00:22:31] Yeah.

[00:22:31] So when was the last time I actually said that about Liam Neeson?

[00:22:38] Further back than me.

[00:22:40] Oh, yeah.

[00:22:40] Because it was a meh.

[00:22:41] All right.

[00:22:42] And I can't believe that you actually liked his Italian movie.

[00:22:47] Otherwise, you'd be in the same boat as me.

[00:22:49] Yes.

[00:22:50] I don't even remember why I liked the Italian movie.

[00:22:53] You need to watch it again.

[00:22:54] I'm sure I had some good reason.

[00:22:54] I might put it into the dare bag for you to rewatch.

[00:22:57] Yeah, whatever.

[00:22:57] Because it was truly horrible.

[00:22:58] But I have some unpacking.

[00:23:00] But what did you think about Old Man Neeson?

[00:23:02] Yeah.

[00:23:02] To your point, you know what?

[00:23:04] I went into this movie just like I do every single Liam Neeson movie.

[00:23:08] And the thing is, because I go into these movies being so positive that I'm going to hate them.

[00:23:15] Like so, so positive.

[00:23:17] Like I knew I was going to hate this movie.

[00:23:21] Oh, totally.

[00:23:21] That is to his benefit.

[00:23:23] Because he can then pleasantly surprise me.

[00:23:26] Yes.

[00:23:27] And that's exactly what he did here.

[00:23:28] He did.

[00:23:29] You know, is this a perfect movie?

[00:23:31] Absolutely not.

[00:23:33] God, no.

[00:23:33] Does it have really engaging characters and situations and characters that I genuinely care about, including him?

[00:23:41] Yeah.

[00:23:42] Absolutely it does.

[00:23:44] Did it have some problems?

[00:23:46] Yes.

[00:23:46] It had a bunch of problems.

[00:23:48] But at the end of the day, if you've got well-written characters, it doesn't matter that you introduce a granddaughter and then we never see her again for no reason whatsoever.

[00:23:58] That's right.

[00:23:59] I don't care.

[00:24:00] It just doesn't matter.

[00:24:02] Yeah, that was a part.

[00:24:03] You know, but there's a few things like that we did.

[00:24:05] Oh, there's a ton of stuff in this movie where it just goes nowhere.

[00:24:08] And you know what?

[00:24:09] I don't care because I enjoyed Liam Neeson's performance.

[00:24:13] I especially enjoyed Yolanda Ross's performance as woman.

[00:24:17] Ron Perlman's always lovely to see.

[00:24:20] Yeah.

[00:24:21] Did he add a whole lot to this?

[00:24:22] No, he was Ron Perlman doing its Ron Perlman thing.

[00:24:25] Yeah.

[00:24:25] But it was nice to see him.

[00:24:27] This was just enjoyable.

[00:24:29] I enjoyed this movie.

[00:24:31] It's not a work of art.

[00:24:33] But if you got a couple hours you want to kill, I got no problem with you watching this movie.

[00:24:39] And I think it would be hard not to like it.

[00:24:42] Yeah.

[00:24:42] I liked it.

[00:24:43] I would agree.

[00:24:43] It's meh.

[00:24:44] The funniest thing is, you know, we talked about this after the movie.

[00:24:48] Is that why he was giggling so much?

[00:24:49] What's that?

[00:24:50] Is that why he was laughing so much?

[00:24:51] We did watch this one first.

[00:24:52] No, I don't even know what you're talking about laughing.

[00:24:55] He was giggling.

[00:24:56] Why would I be giggling after this movie?

[00:24:58] We sat down to wait because we had a 40 minute wait between movies.

[00:25:03] Right.

[00:25:03] And he just went into this giggling fest for about 15 minutes of it.

[00:25:07] I giggled for 15 minutes.

[00:25:09] Yeah.

[00:25:10] You, of all people.

[00:25:11] I have no idea what you're talking about.

[00:25:12] But, you know, so we get out of the movie, though, Murray.

[00:25:15] Yes.

[00:25:15] And we both looked at each other and said, you know, I didn't hate this movie.

[00:25:18] And then we started saying, you know what?

[00:25:19] I actually kind of like this movie.

[00:25:20] And then we looked again at each other and we're like, what do you think the other people

[00:25:24] that came?

[00:25:24] Because this movie, we had about 10 people in the movie.

[00:25:29] And like, if most people are like you, Murray, you like your old man Liam Neeson movies.

[00:25:36] Yeah.

[00:25:36] I mean, he kicks a little bit of ass, but not a ton.

[00:25:40] It's not the movie.

[00:25:41] The movie is the characters and the movie is him and how he deals.

[00:25:46] This movie is completely character driven.

[00:25:46] It's so character driven.

[00:25:48] It was nice to see Liam Neeson in a movie where he was a character instead of a caricature.

[00:25:53] Yes.

[00:25:54] Hey, well played.

[00:25:55] Thank you.

[00:25:56] So the unpacking I had is.

[00:25:58] I've always argued he can act.

[00:25:59] He just.

[00:26:00] We've never said that he can't.

[00:26:02] And that's why we're so disappointed in a Murr until now.

[00:26:06] Now we're saying he can act.

[00:26:07] We always knew he could act.

[00:26:09] Yeah.

[00:26:09] Because we saw Darkman.

[00:26:11] We saw Darkman.

[00:26:11] So we know it's possible.

[00:26:12] 40 years ago.

[00:26:13] Yeah.

[00:26:14] And I see.

[00:26:15] You don't lose that ability.

[00:26:16] Bryce hasn't seen this yet, but he's also in The Good Mother, which he's amazing in.

[00:26:20] Yes.

[00:26:21] There you go.

[00:26:22] Which was directed by Leonard Nimoy.

[00:26:25] There you go.

[00:26:26] I think maybe his only.

[00:26:27] No, I think he also directed a Star Trek.

[00:26:28] Yeah.

[00:26:29] He directed a Star Trek.

[00:26:29] Oh, he directed a ton of episodes, I'm sure.

[00:26:31] Yeah.

[00:26:31] But you got.

[00:26:32] He actually directed one of the movies, too.

[00:26:33] Yeah.

[00:26:34] Maybe Search for Spock.

[00:26:36] I think it was Search for Spock.

[00:26:37] Yeah.

[00:26:37] The one he wasn't in for most of it.

[00:26:39] Yeah.

[00:26:39] That's still.

[00:26:40] Yeah.

[00:26:40] He was in it for a bit.

[00:26:42] He's Spock.

[00:26:42] He's in everything.

[00:26:43] He's Spock.

[00:26:43] Well, you know what you got to do?

[00:26:44] Press some buttons already.

[00:26:48] Now, the relationship with his.

[00:26:50] This is the last one.

[00:26:51] Oh, perfect.

[00:26:52] Yeah.

[00:26:53] There we go.

[00:26:53] That's.

[00:26:53] He moved on too fast.

[00:26:54] You're such a rage.

[00:26:57] And Absolution is the definition of man.

[00:26:59] It is.

[00:27:00] Yeah.

[00:27:00] It is.

[00:27:01] It's good.

[00:27:04] So the relationship with his girlfriend.

[00:27:07] What's interesting as you're going through the relationship he has with her, it's kind

[00:27:11] of like at some point in the movie, I said to myself, why is she with him?

[00:27:16] Yeah.

[00:27:16] But then you know.

[00:27:17] You absolutely.

[00:27:18] Like, you mentioned it to me.

[00:27:19] You're like, when they first got together, you're like, what in the belief?

[00:27:23] Like, what would she be doing with him?

[00:27:25] And then, you know what?

[00:27:26] Everything's so well written.

[00:27:27] And you understand by the end that they're just two broken people.

[00:27:31] Yeah.

[00:27:32] She's so broken that she can be there for him and he can be there for her.

[00:27:37] And I think she needs that.

[00:27:39] Yeah.

[00:27:39] You know?

[00:27:40] And I think she craves that.

[00:27:41] That's why she keeps on going back even when he's a total dick.

[00:27:43] I know.

[00:27:45] But, you know, he also does.

[00:27:46] He obviously must be pretty good in bed too.

[00:27:48] Because obviously, you know, she wasn't seeming disappointed about that.

[00:27:52] Yeah.

[00:27:52] He is.

[00:27:52] He's like Chuck Norris.

[00:27:55] But he's Liam Neeson.

[00:27:57] That's one of the superpowers.

[00:27:58] Yeah.

[00:27:58] Exactly.

[00:27:59] All right.

[00:27:59] Superpowers.

[00:28:00] I'm glad you didn't hate it anyway.

[00:28:01] Yeah.

[00:28:01] We didn't.

[00:28:06] Hey.

[00:28:07] Oh.

[00:28:08] There's got to be some joy that you bring us now.

[00:28:10] You know what?

[00:28:10] We're just on a roll.

[00:28:12] I would like to say, but no.

[00:28:13] What?

[00:28:14] No joy?

[00:28:15] So, a while back, we went to see Jason Reitman's Saturday Night, which, as I recall, we all

[00:28:23] mondo.

[00:28:24] Yes, we did.

[00:28:24] It was a triple banger.

[00:28:26] It was so good.

[00:28:26] So, I mentioned that SNL doesn't really have a great track record when it comes to movies.

[00:28:31] Yes, that's right.

[00:28:32] We talked about that too.

[00:28:33] And I disagree.

[00:28:36] There was one that I hadn't seen.

[00:28:38] What?

[00:28:38] Which ranked higher up on the list than I thought.

[00:28:41] What?

[00:28:41] Okay.

[00:28:42] Which one was that?

[00:28:43] Which happened to be on TV.

[00:28:44] Was it Hot Rod?

[00:28:45] To avoid Hot Rod.

[00:28:47] Shit that went down last night, I put it on to try to bring some comedy to my life.

[00:28:52] Nice.

[00:28:52] It didn't happen.

[00:28:53] It was McRuber.

[00:28:56] McRuber!

[00:28:56] McRuber's so good!

[00:28:57] Oh my God.

[00:28:58] I love McRuber.

[00:28:59] But Curry doesn't like Will Forte, so I don't know why you would watch it.

[00:29:02] Maybe it would help.

[00:29:03] My favorite part.

[00:29:04] I took an upper decker.

[00:29:05] What's an upper decker?

[00:29:06] That's when you poop in the tank instead of the bowl.

[00:29:09] I must have missed that one.

[00:29:10] Yes!

[00:29:12] I took an upper decker in the master bathroom.

[00:29:16] Maybe it helps if you actually like these SNL cast members.

[00:29:19] Yes, I know!

[00:29:20] I do not.

[00:29:21] I know.

[00:29:21] You don't like Will Forte.

[00:29:22] I don't find any of these three funny at all.

[00:29:24] This movie was so good.

[00:29:26] Um, yeah, it was rude.

[00:29:29] It was crude.

[00:29:30] Yes.

[00:29:31] It was hilarious.

[00:29:32] And it was highly offensive.

[00:29:34] Yes!

[00:29:34] I know!

[00:29:35] And as someone who I would say grew up on the action TV genre in the 80s, including the

[00:29:45] antics of one Angus McRiver, played by Richard Anderson.

[00:29:50] Oh, that's why you're offended.

[00:29:52] I was absolutely offended by that.

[00:29:54] Well, this was way better than MacGyver.

[00:29:56] Oh, just don't even go there.

[00:29:58] I'd even prefer that crappy remake they did with that kid from one of the X-Men movies

[00:30:03] to this thing.

[00:30:05] Yeah, the only thing I actually liked about this movie was Val Kilmer, who had probably

[00:30:11] the best villain name ever.

[00:30:14] Dieter Von Compton.

[00:30:17] Mm-hmm.

[00:30:18] And they had a lot of really crude jokes about his name.

[00:30:21] Yes!

[00:30:21] I found those kind of amusing.

[00:30:23] But, yeah, Ryan Phillippe?

[00:30:25] Like, really?

[00:30:26] Reese Witherspoon's ex?

[00:30:27] He's so good in it.

[00:30:29] The movie's perfect.

[00:30:30] I did also enjoy...

[00:30:31] It's almost...

[00:30:32] You know what?

[00:30:32] Of course it is.

[00:30:33] Powers Booth.

[00:30:34] He's always...

[00:30:35] You know, he's Powers Booth, right?

[00:30:36] I mean, he can't really not be the arrogant asshole in a movie, so he did that

[00:30:41] really well.

[00:30:42] And, yeah, the part I did like, which I was disappointed when it did turn out the way

[00:30:46] I thought it would be, is when he was putting together his strike team.

[00:30:49] That's the best part of the movie.

[00:30:50] He recruits his whole team.

[00:30:52] He recruits every big member of WWE on his team.

[00:30:59] Although Chris Jericho is, I guess, a wimp compared to the rest of these.

[00:31:02] Mark Henry.

[00:31:03] Yes.

[00:31:04] MVP.

[00:31:05] Great Khali, who's like fucking eight feet tall.

[00:31:09] He's huge.

[00:31:09] And can't wrestle.

[00:31:10] Kyle, Kane, and the Big Show.

[00:31:13] These are all like 350, 400-pound guys.

[00:31:16] And then there's the Jericho, but...

[00:31:18] They're all pumped up.

[00:31:19] Yeah, let's do it!

[00:31:20] And he blows them up.

[00:31:22] That's like, what you call it?

[00:31:23] The Suicide Squad.

[00:31:24] Accidentally.

[00:31:24] Yeah, yeah.

[00:31:25] Where do you think they got it?

[00:31:27] Where you have my guy, Nathan Fillion, who lasts like 30 seconds in the film before

[00:31:31] he dies.

[00:31:34] And was it Pete Davidson in that too?

[00:31:36] And he died in the first five minutes.

[00:31:37] He did.

[00:31:38] He did?

[00:31:38] Yeah.

[00:31:39] They had this all-star cast of characters.

[00:31:41] They didn't want to afford to pay them more than one day shooting.

[00:31:44] And they killed them all.

[00:31:44] That's the same thing as this.

[00:31:45] But no, it was just...

[00:31:47] It was just...

[00:31:48] Oh, man.

[00:31:49] It was such a rage.

[00:31:50] All right.

[00:31:50] I'm sorry I actually watched this.

[00:31:52] It is so good.

[00:31:53] So, yeah.

[00:31:53] So, yeah.

[00:31:53] My opinion contains SNL doesn't really make good movies.

[00:31:57] So, so...

[00:31:58] And I disagree.

[00:31:59] You should watch It's Pat.

[00:32:01] Yes.

[00:32:05] It's got Dave Foley in it.

[00:32:06] You love Dave Foley.

[00:32:07] I love Dave Foley.

[00:32:08] There you go.

[00:32:08] I will stick to my Wayne's World.

[00:32:10] What's that?

[00:32:11] It's Pat.

[00:32:14] Anyway.

[00:32:15] Yeah, no.

[00:32:16] It was horrible.

[00:32:17] I hated it.

[00:32:17] It's...

[00:32:20] Temperature rising.

[00:32:23] Vision blurring.

[00:32:26] Rage taking over.

[00:32:45] My sweet, sweet.

[00:32:51] I will love you so.

[00:32:56] Yeah.

[00:32:59] Rage ridden today.

[00:33:03] Get on with it.

[00:33:04] Can you surprise?

[00:33:05] Can you guess what it is?

[00:33:07] No, I have no idea.

[00:33:08] Kind of gave you a little bit of a hint.

[00:33:09] I want to say something.

[00:33:10] When we were out the other night.

[00:33:12] I don't remember.

[00:33:14] That was like two days ago.

[00:33:15] Did it have to do with anybody in the cinema with you?

[00:33:17] No, actually.

[00:33:18] You know what?

[00:33:19] We had a private viewing for...

[00:33:21] Here.

[00:33:21] Here.

[00:33:22] And then we had...

[00:33:23] We had a gaggle of old man Neeson fans.

[00:33:27] Yeah.

[00:33:27] Who I'm still guessing they were probably disappointed.

[00:33:30] Probably disappointed.

[00:33:30] Because this movie was so character-y.

[00:33:31] Not enough people died in that, I'm sure.

[00:33:33] That's why they were disappointed.

[00:33:34] There was a couple people who died.

[00:33:34] Some people died.

[00:33:35] Yeah.

[00:33:36] And also killed by...

[00:33:38] There was a few scenes you would have been going...

[00:33:40] Yeah, Liam.

[00:33:41] Liam.

[00:33:42] He's not gonna take it.

[00:33:45] Yeah.

[00:33:46] So, my rage is this trending phase in, I'm gonna say, crappy wood.

[00:33:54] Where, you know, we know the sequel thing is, you know...

[00:33:58] Never going away.

[00:33:59] It's never going away.

[00:34:00] So, instead of finding nostalgia in remakes, reruns, returns, rewinds, all these re's that

[00:34:10] are happening...

[00:34:11] Reimagining.

[00:34:11] Yes.

[00:34:12] What are we also seeing of?

[00:34:14] Re-invigoration of old directors...

[00:34:18] D-A-G.

[00:34:18] Oh, that too.

[00:34:19] Old directors that are coming back onto the scene and making crappy movies because, you

[00:34:27] know what?

[00:34:27] They should have retired 20 years ago.

[00:34:31] Oh, you're gonna love Gladiator 2 then.

[00:34:34] Oh, I'm already raging about Gladiator 2.

[00:34:37] The last...

[00:34:38] I still think it's a joke and it's not actually gonna come out.

[00:34:42] Oh, no.

[00:34:42] It is.

[00:34:43] It's not.

[00:34:44] It's nobody's...

[00:34:45] No, they made it.

[00:34:47] And who's gonna go to it?

[00:34:49] Uh, Denzel fans.

[00:34:51] Uh, Pedro Pascal fans.

[00:34:54] Whatever.

[00:34:55] Yeah, so I just wanna let people know...

[00:34:57] And, okay, just so everybody realizes, I'm not ageist in any way because I'm already old.

[00:35:03] But what I think needs to happen is Hollywood has to stop giving money and movies to directors

[00:35:11] who are past their prime and actually focus on new upcoming directors like Osgood Jenkins

[00:35:18] or, um, uh, what's the dude from Mandy?

[00:35:23] I don't know.

[00:35:24] What's his name?

[00:35:25] Good.

[00:35:25] What's his face?

[00:35:25] Pa.

[00:35:26] What's her face?

[00:35:27] Yeah.

[00:35:27] No, his face.

[00:35:28] And, and, like, just...

[00:35:30] There's so many creative new directors that are out there and Panos...

[00:35:38] Sorry.

[00:35:40] Cosmitos.

[00:35:41] People like that that have creative minds and want to bring new and original content.

[00:35:46] Instead of putting it in the hands of people that are just not bringing anything new to

[00:35:51] the screen other than boring stuff.

[00:35:53] I can't really disagree with you.

[00:35:54] I mean, there are a lot of directors that I used to love just don't have it anymore.

[00:35:58] Coppola's film?

[00:35:59] Crappy.

[00:36:00] Zemeckis' film?

[00:36:01] Crappy.

[00:36:02] The last Eastwood film was crappy.

[00:36:04] Oh, God.

[00:36:05] Eastwood.

[00:36:05] Yeah, it was crappy.

[00:36:06] Eastwood is too old.

[00:36:07] The last Scorsese film?

[00:36:09] Awful.

[00:36:10] Yeah.

[00:36:10] So, that's what I mean is...

[00:36:12] And these directors who have so much clout or had so much clout in Hollywood, why aren't

[00:36:18] they taking some of these young directors, bringing them under their wing, allowing them

[00:36:22] to breathe their creativity and mentor them instead of the crap that we see coming out

[00:36:28] now?

[00:36:28] So, my rage this week is let's give new directors new projects instead.

[00:36:35] And I bet you we would have had something super creative from here.

[00:36:39] But instead, we got Zemeckis' version of standing in one spot, re-watching Forrest

[00:36:45] Gump.

[00:36:47] That's my rage.

[00:36:48] All right.

[00:36:51] Cool.

[00:37:16] Yeah, no shock to anybody my rage this week is CGI people.

[00:37:20] I'm just tired of seeing them.

[00:37:22] I don't want to see people younger and older and with the rubber faces.

[00:37:28] It looks terrible.

[00:37:29] I don't want it to ever look good because at what point are we going to not just need

[00:37:35] actors anymore?

[00:37:36] We're all just...

[00:37:37] They're all just going to be voice actors and they're like, I don't even know where this

[00:37:40] is going.

[00:37:40] Like, just...

[00:37:41] What happened to the makeup artists that actually, you know, made people look good?

[00:37:47] Benjamin Buttoned at us.

[00:37:48] Yeah.

[00:37:49] It's like...

[00:37:49] Remember when we got Benjamin Buttoned?

[00:37:51] Yeah.

[00:37:52] Benjamin Buttoned with the...

[00:37:53] Like, that looked so good.

[00:37:54] They would have done that CGI.

[00:37:56] It would have been just...

[00:37:57] It would have taken so much away from everything that was going on in that movie.

[00:38:00] It would have been just awful.

[00:38:02] So, I don't understand the trend that's happening.

[00:38:06] And I don't want them to perfect it.

[00:38:09] I just don't.

[00:38:10] I just don't even...

[00:38:11] Just stop.

[00:38:12] Just stop with the CGI people.

[00:38:14] Yeah.

[00:38:15] That's something to be said for practical makeup effects.

[00:38:17] Yeah.

[00:38:18] They're an important part of the film industry.

[00:38:20] And you know what?

[00:38:20] Well, they were.

[00:38:22] We've also seen this with CGI blood, right?

[00:38:26] Like...

[00:38:26] Oh, the CGI blood is...

[00:38:27] Practical blood is like...

[00:38:29] And, you know, you see something like the substance.

[00:38:31] Yeah.

[00:38:32] Where they had...

[00:38:33] I think if anybody, they had the best mix of CGI and practical effects.

[00:38:38] That could be.

[00:38:39] We still got a little bit of CGI blood in substance.

[00:38:42] But we also got a lot of great practical stuff.

[00:38:45] Yeah.

[00:38:46] I wish the CGI blood wasn't there.

[00:38:48] Yeah.

[00:38:48] But, you know.

[00:38:49] Just never means it.

[00:38:50] And I...

[00:38:51] The thing that I hate the words with CGI blood, now we're getting off topic of what I was originally...

[00:38:55] Well, it's still CGI.

[00:38:56] But yeah.

[00:38:57] It's the stupid gunshots where you get the stupid splatter of blood when somebody gets shot.

[00:39:03] And then it goes on to the...

[00:39:04] It goes on to the...

[00:39:05] CGI splatter.

[00:39:06] And then it's just like...

[00:39:06] It looks so stupid.

[00:39:08] Yeah.

[00:39:09] You're thinking like, am I watching an Uwe Bull film?

[00:39:11] Yeah.

[00:39:11] Am I watching an Uwe Bull film?

[00:39:13] Or am I...

[00:39:13] Is this a video game?

[00:39:15] Like, what am I...

[00:39:15] What is this?

[00:39:17] And, you know.

[00:39:18] Okay.

[00:39:18] I know all three of us in here are not huge gamers.

[00:39:22] And maybe video games now have really realistic CGI blood.

[00:39:28] They're amping up the blood.

[00:39:28] Yeah, they are.

[00:39:29] Yeah.

[00:39:29] But I know that the last game that I played that had CGI blood, it still looked like CGI crappy blood.

[00:39:37] Is that Doom?

[00:39:38] No.

[00:39:41] Where it's pixels?

[00:39:43] Yeah, where it's pixelated.

[00:39:44] That was like 64, wasn't it?

[00:39:46] With the first Doom?

[00:39:46] I don't remember.

[00:39:47] Yeah, probably.

[00:39:48] Anyways.

[00:39:49] Yeah, well.

[00:39:50] CGI sucks.

[00:39:51] It's the poopiest.

[00:39:52] It is.

[00:39:54] Reach.

[00:39:56] Subsiding.

[00:40:05] Originally, I thought, you know what?

[00:40:06] We should probably be able to take on...

[00:40:08] Because we only got two movies last week.

[00:40:10] And I thought we were going to have more stuff we had to do.

[00:40:13] So I figured, you know what?

[00:40:14] We probably should have a lists segment this week.

[00:40:17] But after seeing that we have like 72 movies coming out this weekend, I don't think we're

[00:40:23] going to have time to also watch a film from Murray's lists.

[00:40:26] Yeah, because we got to go to that Christmas pageant movie.

[00:40:28] Yeah.

[00:40:29] You have to go to that Christmas pageant movie.

[00:40:31] That was already released once.

[00:40:32] No, no, no, no, no, no.

[00:40:34] We, we, we, we have to.

[00:40:36] You know...

[00:40:36] Only one I'm interested in is the one that has Santa Claus in it.

[00:40:39] That's right.

[00:40:40] Which comes out next week.

[00:40:41] That's right.

[00:40:42] Which we're getting Christmas movies in November, which makes no sense.

[00:40:46] Because at Christmas, we get horror movies.

[00:40:49] Which is what we should get.

[00:40:50] Christmas horror movies.

[00:40:52] We should get horror movies all the time.

[00:40:54] So we're not doing the list.

[00:40:55] So we're holding off on the list.

[00:40:56] Although you can maybe sprinkle...

[00:40:58] Just give us a hint.

[00:40:59] Who are we going to have to watch when we come back?

[00:41:01] Don't tell us the movie.

[00:41:02] It involves Tom Hardy.

[00:41:04] Okay.

[00:41:04] There's about three or four he's still attached to.

[00:41:07] Okay.

[00:41:07] Since Bryce tried to knock him off last week and didn't work.

[00:41:10] Yeah.

[00:41:11] I didn't try to knock him off.

[00:41:12] Give him another shot.

[00:41:13] I was just...

[00:41:15] I think obvious is obvious, so...

[00:41:17] Oh, well.

[00:41:18] That's exactly what Murray...

[00:41:20] Tom Hardy was not at the top of his game.

[00:41:23] You were wrong.

[00:41:24] He...

[00:41:24] Yeah.

[00:41:26] So, catch up at some point in the future when we bring back the lists.

[00:41:31] I don't know.

[00:41:32] Christmas.

[00:41:33] Oh, oh, oh!

[00:41:35] Christmas is coming.

[00:41:36] The goose is getting fat.

[00:41:43] Last week on Rage or Dare, our number one most favorite and generous listener, David, could

[00:41:50] not decide whether a movie was mondo or rage-inducing, so he and his work friends dared us to see

[00:41:56] it.

[00:41:56] That's right, kiddies.

[00:41:58] Our rageettes get to be the deciders.

[00:42:01] The film, you ask?

[00:42:03] The 2012 James Franco film about Cherry.

[00:42:07] Cherry.

[00:42:08] Cherry.

[00:42:09] Oh, Cherry.

[00:42:10] Cherry.

[00:42:10] Cherry.

[00:42:10] Cherry.

[00:42:10] I'm all alone.

[00:42:13] Hold on.

[00:42:15] Anyway, this week, although I'm sure he'll say otherwise, it's Bryce's turn to rage or dare.

[00:42:21] Yes, Bryce.

[00:42:25] No, Bryce.

[00:42:28] Uh...

[00:42:28] You're wrong, Bryce.

[00:42:30] I don't think it's my turn.

[00:42:32] It's your turn.

[00:42:33] Come on, Bryce.

[00:42:35] Nice.

[00:42:35] Nice.

[00:42:36] Now let's check in with the boys and see if our favorite listener, David, truly loves

[00:42:40] our podcast or is basically only listening to see how much torture he can inflict on our

[00:42:45] two little masochists.

[00:42:46] I'm guessing number two.

[00:42:48] But then again, when I reference Jim and Bryce most times, it's usually pertaining to

[00:42:53] number two.

[00:42:53] Wink, wink.

[00:42:58] Hmm.

[00:42:58] I think that's the truth.

[00:43:00] All right.

[00:43:00] Technically, the song is Sherry, but I'll let that slide.

[00:43:04] I think we all know that.

[00:43:06] Yeah, but that's not what he said.

[00:43:07] I think that Casey knows that, too.

[00:43:09] I'm pretty sure.

[00:43:10] He doesn't know...

[00:43:10] How about cherry bomb?

[00:43:14] Yeah, but that's a cherry bomb.

[00:43:15] Because it's cherry and it's a bomb.

[00:43:17] It's a sand.

[00:43:18] How do you know what's a bomb?

[00:43:19] That's what I would have went with, but...

[00:43:20] You don't know what's a bomb yet.

[00:43:22] Well, I'm...

[00:43:23] Although, apparently, David didn't know either.

[00:43:27] All right.

[00:43:27] Do your thing.

[00:43:28] You go first on this.

[00:43:30] Are you sure?

[00:43:30] Yeah.

[00:43:31] All right.

[00:43:32] Okay.

[00:43:32] So, I'm confused.

[00:43:34] That's...

[00:43:36] That's...

[00:43:36] I'm pulling a Bryce line here.

[00:43:38] Is this one of those Club Kid films where whoever is watching it has ADHD or are all coked up?

[00:43:49] Um...

[00:43:50] And those that make it are also ADHD and are definitely coked up.

[00:43:57] Was there a Steadicam handy at the Steadicam rental that they could have gotten when they decided to make this film?

[00:44:08] I'm curious.

[00:44:09] Or was it just that we sometimes had a cameraman holding steady sometimes?

[00:44:17] Because there seems to be way too many quick scenes, hangers, and gaps in every aspect of this story.

[00:44:25] Which I'm like, what?

[00:44:26] What is this story again?

[00:44:28] Oh, yeah.

[00:44:29] A naive young lady gets into porn the easy way.

[00:44:34] Like most people.

[00:44:35] It seems to go places, but never gets there.

[00:44:38] I mean, our lead gets there sometimes because we have voyeuristic scenes of her playing with herself in the middle of nowhere in the movie.

[00:44:47] Uh, yes, she's owning her sexuality.

[00:44:50] So good for her.

[00:44:51] But also...

[00:44:52] What?

[00:44:52] Like, what?

[00:44:55] There's a ton of threads that come and go nowhere through this entire movie.

[00:45:01] She goes from taking sexy pictures to porn so absolutely quickly.

[00:45:06] And there are these characters that have no real character development, including our lead, Jerry!

[00:45:13] I couldn't figure out if this was trying to teach me a lesson, make me feel dirty, or want me to find an easy way to get into porn.

[00:45:21] I wasn't sure what the whole purpose of this was.

[00:45:23] It almost felt like it was a pilot for a Friday Night Blue Movie special or an episode of Red Shoe Diaries.

[00:45:32] And I kept wondering where David Duchovny was in the entire movie.

[00:45:36] But instead, we got James Franco.

[00:45:38] And what do you call something that's softer than soft?

[00:45:41] It was creepy in his own way.

[00:45:42] What would you call something softer than soft?

[00:45:45] Melted?

[00:45:46] Sure.

[00:45:47] Yeah, so we had melted porn.

[00:45:50] Is that a type of porn, Bryce?

[00:45:52] Melted porn?

[00:45:52] Isn't that cheesy porn?

[00:45:53] So it was supposed to soft core porn.

[00:45:55] We had melted core porn.

[00:45:58] That's what it felt like.

[00:45:59] It was melted core porn.

[00:46:01] Was it soft?

[00:46:02] No, it wasn't soft, Marie.

[00:46:03] It was softer than soft.

[00:46:05] It was melted.

[00:46:06] So it was like TV porn.

[00:46:09] Yeah, kind of TV porn.

[00:46:11] I'm going to call it melted core porn.

[00:46:16] Sure.

[00:46:17] So the last time David, our favorite listener, dared us, he took us to Mondoville with hot sex with tentacled aliens and an alien sex beast.

[00:46:26] This time, I got no alien, no tentacles, and no pleasure except the stuff I gave myself after getting full of rage and then decided having to change that in some way or another.

[00:46:42] Yeah.

[00:46:44] David, you totally hit the mark on this one.

[00:46:47] Apparently, we now know, even though you say you love us, you're a sadist, which makes you the top in our relationship, I'm thinking.

[00:46:57] And that's with a heavy wink.

[00:47:01] That makes you an eye to the bottom.

[00:47:03] Yeah, I got that.

[00:47:05] Okay.

[00:47:05] So what did you think of?

[00:47:06] Oh, Jerry.

[00:47:08] Jerry?

[00:47:09] I just felt bad for Lily Taylor and Dev Patel.

[00:47:15] It's like I almost expect Heather Graham to be in something this bad, but oh man, what were they doing in this?

[00:47:21] Yeah, she was.

[00:47:23] Yeah, like Dev Patel.

[00:47:25] I just.

[00:47:25] I want to know where this was in his career.

[00:47:27] This was just the blandest nothing of a movie.

[00:47:30] Like, really?

[00:47:31] Like, nothing really happened.

[00:47:33] And it's just like, how did she get into the porn again?

[00:47:37] So she took some pictures, then she got on a bus, and then she started at a strip club, and then she was doing porn.

[00:47:45] It was just, it was very, like, I don't know, paint by numbers.

[00:47:50] And just bland, and it was very.

[00:47:52] Maybe it's your TV?

[00:47:54] I didn't, I didn't understand anything in it.

[00:47:57] I didn't understand why Dev Patel was his character.

[00:48:02] Like, I get why he was the way he was, I guess, but.

[00:48:06] Yeah, they didn't really develop any characters.

[00:48:08] No, nobody was developed.

[00:48:09] And no relationships were developed.

[00:48:12] The only thing.

[00:48:13] At all.

[00:48:13] Like, and I mean, Lily Taylor did her best.

[00:48:16] Like, Dev Patel was annoying in this, which he was kind of supposed to be.

[00:48:20] But Lily Taylor, I just felt bad that she was in this.

[00:48:23] She is so much better than this.

[00:48:25] I mean, you know, James Franco, he could be in the biggest piece of crap on earth.

[00:48:29] He could be in a great movie.

[00:48:30] He chooses things.

[00:48:32] He doesn't.

[00:48:32] So I don't really expect anything from James Franco.

[00:48:36] When I'm pleasantly surprised, I'm like, ah, good on you, James Franco.

[00:48:40] You still can do something decent.

[00:48:42] But more often than not, he's in a bunch of crap.

[00:48:44] And let's face it, of all the Francos.

[00:48:47] They all can't be the interview.

[00:48:48] They all can't be Dave, which is the only real true Franco.

[00:48:53] Well, Dave Franco is the best Franco.

[00:48:54] There's no question.

[00:48:55] But I'm just kind of rambling.

[00:48:57] I just hated this movie so much.

[00:48:59] I just, I'm sitting there watching it.

[00:49:00] I don't know that I've ever been so bored in a movie.

[00:49:03] And I just watched here.

[00:49:04] Yes.

[00:49:05] That's saying a lot.

[00:49:07] It's like, this was just like bland.

[00:49:11] So vanilla.

[00:49:12] How do you make, how do you make a vanilla movie about the porn industry?

[00:49:16] It's like, there was nothing in this.

[00:49:19] It was melted core porn.

[00:49:21] I didn't even know that was a subsect of porn.

[00:49:24] I hated this movie so much.

[00:49:26] It was so poopy.

[00:49:26] It was such a rage.

[00:49:27] Such a rage.

[00:49:27] Um, so for the listeners out there, cause I'm not speaking for Murray here, but Bryce and

[00:49:34] I are huge Dev Patel fans.

[00:49:36] Yeah.

[00:49:36] And his movie he made before this.

[00:49:38] Can you even just guess just based on historicals?

[00:49:43] What movie?

[00:49:44] Like right before this?

[00:49:45] Yes.

[00:49:45] It was probably, uh, I just say slum dog.

[00:49:49] You're close, Murray.

[00:49:50] No, it's going to be the, the, the old people.

[00:49:54] Yes.

[00:49:54] It's the old people thing.

[00:49:56] The hotel one?

[00:49:56] The best exotic.

[00:49:57] Mary Gold Hotel.

[00:49:58] That's it.

[00:49:59] That one I will give you is really good.

[00:50:02] Yeah.

[00:50:02] He's good.

[00:50:03] I don't like Dev Patel, but I like that movie.

[00:50:04] He's good in everything.

[00:50:06] He's good in everything.

[00:50:06] Except in about, well, he was even okay in Malboa Cherry.

[00:50:09] It was fine.

[00:50:10] He was playing the annoying friend that was annoying.

[00:50:12] I didn't understand the, the, you know, the character, but.

[00:50:17] Yeah.

[00:50:17] And then he made the road within after this.

[00:50:21] Okay.

[00:50:22] Which I don't even remember seeing.

[00:50:24] So road within doesn't ring a bell.

[00:50:25] It's not ringing any bells.

[00:50:27] And then he made better than this.

[00:50:28] Then he made the second best exclusive sequel, which I wasn't, I wasn't as thrilled with as

[00:50:33] the first.

[00:50:34] I don't think, I don't think most people were.

[00:50:36] Yeah.

[00:50:37] So Dev Patel, you know, I think they wanted us to maybe talk more about James Franco, but

[00:50:43] you know, I'm more interested in talking about.

[00:50:45] I'm pretty sure.

[00:50:46] What are you talking about?

[00:50:47] Like James Franco.

[00:50:48] Like that's another relationship that made no sense in this.

[00:50:51] It's just like, why is this, why is this lawyer guy?

[00:50:54] Unfortunately, knowing what we do now.

[00:50:55] Like I realized he's an addict, but really.

[00:50:57] Yeah.

[00:50:58] No, this movie, it's a little too close to home for what James Franco actually is about.

[00:51:03] Oh, why?

[00:51:03] Is he a, is he a.

[00:51:05] Oh, he's been disowned by Hollywood.

[00:51:06] No, he's been disowned by Hollywood.

[00:51:08] And he's on drugs?

[00:51:09] He's a lawyer on drugs?

[00:51:10] His best friend Seth Rogen basically disowned him.

[00:51:12] What?

[00:51:13] What happened there?

[00:51:13] Tell us an update.

[00:51:14] Uh, Franco was accused and then.

[00:51:17] I don't care.

[00:51:18] Verified that he, uh, slept with a lot of his students that he was teaching in an acting

[00:51:22] class.

[00:51:23] What?

[00:51:23] And Hollywood just went apeshit over it.

[00:51:25] Now they won't cast him in anything.

[00:51:27] Hmm.

[00:51:27] So he's got to make about cherries.

[00:51:29] Just saying.

[00:51:30] So yeah, this is the same kind of character from this movie.

[00:51:33] So just saying.

[00:51:34] Way before.

[00:51:35] Maybe it was his real character.

[00:51:36] This was 2012.

[00:51:38] You're saying this was a documentary?

[00:51:39] Just guessing.

[00:51:40] About James Franco?

[00:51:40] Anyway.

[00:51:41] He became a lawyer and then.

[00:51:42] Yeah, I don't understand.

[00:51:43] I don't get the tie in because he's a lawyer, drug addict lawyer in this.

[00:51:47] Yeah.

[00:51:47] Whatever.

[00:51:48] Anyway.

[00:51:49] Whatever.

[00:51:50] Anyway, we can all agree that Dave is better.

[00:51:53] Yeah.

[00:51:53] That we can agree on.

[00:51:54] Yeah.

[00:51:54] It's like a, you know, whoever think otherwise.

[00:51:57] Plus he has the Brie.

[00:51:59] I don't know what that means.

[00:52:00] That's what's that.

[00:52:00] Alison Brie.

[00:52:01] I don't know what an Alison.

[00:52:02] He's dating Alison Brie?

[00:52:04] He's married to her.

[00:52:05] He's married to her?

[00:52:06] Okay.

[00:52:06] Why do I care?

[00:52:08] Say it.

[00:52:08] I don't know.

[00:52:09] He's got Alison Brie.

[00:52:10] You know what?

[00:52:10] And Alison.

[00:52:11] And Franco doesn't.

[00:52:11] In Alison Brie movies, she's nude more than this movie was.

[00:52:15] There you go.

[00:52:16] So I'm like, that's how it's tied in, I guess.

[00:52:18] But she picked the right Franco.

[00:52:19] Yeah.

[00:52:20] She definitely picked the right Franco.

[00:52:21] There you go.

[00:52:22] I think she's probably taller.

[00:52:23] Did she have a choice?

[00:52:24] Is that what happened?

[00:52:25] She might have.

[00:52:25] Who knows?

[00:52:26] Who knows?

[00:52:27] There is a lineup.

[00:52:28] They're pretty much twins, aren't they?

[00:52:29] They look pretty similar.

[00:52:30] They don't look anything alike.

[00:52:32] Yeah, they do.

[00:52:32] James looks 5'2".

[00:52:34] James is probably 5'12".

[00:52:35] Yeah, James is way taller.

[00:52:37] Before I even knew what his name was, I knew he was a Franco just by seeing him on screen

[00:52:42] the first time.

[00:52:42] Yeah, he's a Franco.

[00:52:43] I mean, it's not like they don't look like brothers, but they don't look alike at all.

[00:52:47] Well, they're not twinsies, but they look close enough.

[00:52:50] Anyway, whatever.

[00:52:51] You know, can we just go back to the very, when we talked, remember about, it was probably

[00:52:56] about, I'm going to say 50 minutes ago, when we were talking about that movie that

[00:53:01] had Liam Neeson in it.

[00:53:03] And what's his face?

[00:53:05] That was the highlight of the week.

[00:53:05] That's amazing.

[00:53:06] That is pretty amazing.

[00:53:08] I know.

[00:53:08] It's like, how did that, how does Liam Neeson movie the highlight of our week?

[00:53:13] Your highlight is just.

[00:53:14] You know how people talk about how tall Liam Neeson is?

[00:53:19] Yeah.

[00:53:19] When he was standing beside Hellboy, otherwise known as Ron Perlman.

[00:53:24] Yeah, but Ron Perlman looked like he went only up to his shoulders.

[00:53:27] They were standing beside each other in a shot.

[00:53:30] Isn't Perlman like 8 feet tall?

[00:53:30] That's what I thought until you see him against Liam Neeson.

[00:53:33] And Liam Neeson's 9 feet tall there, apparently.

[00:53:36] But Ron Perlman's like hunching over more and more every day.

[00:53:39] And he's just as old as Liam.

[00:53:41] There you go.

[00:53:41] You know what?

[00:53:42] There you go.

[00:53:42] I think I'm as old as him, too.

[00:53:43] All right.

[00:53:44] I feel that way.

[00:53:44] Do your thing.

[00:53:45] All right, mister.

[00:53:46] What are you taking?

[00:53:47] I don't think it's my turn.

[00:53:49] But it is.

[00:53:50] So you're going to.

[00:53:51] Well, Casey said so.

[00:53:52] Oh, you know what I did?

[00:53:52] What did I say I was going to add to my bag as a pleasure?

[00:53:55] I know what I'm going to do.

[00:53:56] Murray, give me a piece of paper.

[00:53:57] I don't have a piece of paper.

[00:53:58] There's a piece of paper there.

[00:53:59] Yeah, no.

[00:54:00] You can't just add it right now.

[00:54:02] No, I'm going to add it now so it's at least in there.

[00:54:05] Whatever.

[00:54:06] Okay, I'm pulling out of your stupid bag.

[00:54:07] Actually, you know what?

[00:54:08] Screw that.

[00:54:09] I'm pulling out of Casey's bag.

[00:54:10] You want to watch a remake, don't you?

[00:54:11] I want to watch a remake.

[00:54:14] Nah, I've changed my mind again.

[00:54:15] I'm pulling out of your bag because you're so smug that you think,

[00:54:18] Oh, I know what you're going to hate.

[00:54:20] Whatever.

[00:54:21] You don't know me.

[00:54:22] So far, I've been pretty accurate.

[00:54:24] Oh, somebody smells paper.

[00:54:26] Yes.

[00:54:26] And plastic.

[00:54:27] Paper and plastic.

[00:54:28] Which he loves to eat.

[00:54:30] Yeah, apparently.

[00:54:32] Oh, cool.

[00:54:35] What are you seeing?

[00:54:36] I'm seeing X-Men 3, The Last Stand.

[00:54:38] Nice.

[00:54:39] I think it was pretty good, wasn't it?

[00:54:41] Is that the one where they're at the Golden Gate Bridge?

[00:54:44] Yep.

[00:54:44] Yes.

[00:54:44] All right.

[00:54:45] And that's the one where everyone loses their powers.

[00:54:48] I don't even remember who moved.

[00:54:49] That's the thing.

[00:54:50] I don't remember at all, so it's going to be great.

[00:54:52] All right, then.

[00:54:52] I can't wait to watch it.

[00:54:54] Oh, and a certain character they kill off.

[00:54:56] Don't just stop with the spoilers.

[00:54:59] Just saying.

[00:55:00] Jesus.

[00:55:01] That's why it was so bad.

[00:55:02] That's why it was so bad.

[00:55:03] Well, you forgot it?

[00:55:04] I don't remember the movie.

[00:55:05] No.

[00:55:06] It was so bad they had to reboot it with a younger cast.

[00:55:09] That's how bad it was.

[00:55:10] Oh, it can't be that bad.

[00:55:11] I think it's probably pretty good.

[00:55:12] Oh, it's awesome.

[00:55:13] X-Men 3.

[00:55:14] What's it called?

[00:55:14] Days of Future Past?

[00:55:15] No, no.

[00:55:16] The Last Stand.

[00:55:17] Days of Future Past.

[00:55:18] That was a different one.

[00:55:18] As I discussed last week, the third movies and trilogies are almost always bad.

[00:55:24] Except for this one, I think.

[00:55:25] I remember it being okay.

[00:55:27] Well, you know what?

[00:55:27] No matter what.

[00:55:28] It was a superhero movie, so it's bad, right?

[00:55:30] I think you're wrong.

[00:55:30] You know what?

[00:55:31] At least.

[00:55:31] I'm the juggernaut, bitch.

[00:55:33] You know, the most exciting thing is that the man that we love to hate, James Marsden's

[00:55:42] in this.

[00:55:42] That is true.

[00:55:42] So you're going to at least have nothing but pleasure looking at his beautiful face in

[00:55:46] the whole movie.

[00:55:46] I don't hate James Marsden.

[00:55:48] As a Cyclops.

[00:55:48] No, I know.

[00:55:49] That's what I'm saying.

[00:55:50] Cyclops?

[00:55:50] No.

[00:55:51] But he's like, every movie he's made has been awful.

[00:55:54] Well, yeah.

[00:55:54] No, he doesn't make bad movies.

[00:55:56] Well, he's been in two Sonics, and I think he's in the third one.

[00:55:59] So there you go.

[00:56:00] Well, of course he is.

[00:56:01] So he's got to make a living.

[00:56:02] Him and Jim Carrey.

[00:56:03] That's right.

[00:56:03] I don't know what the hell Jim Carrey's doing.

[00:56:05] He's like, I will be in any movie as long as it's got Sonic in the title.

[00:56:10] You know what?

[00:56:11] Yeah, because I'm pretty sure he said he retired.

[00:56:12] Maybe he's got-

[00:56:13] Yeah, except for Sonic.

[00:56:14] Then he did Sonic 2.

[00:56:15] He's all about the Sonic.

[00:56:16] There you go.

[00:56:17] Nice.

[00:56:18] Nice.

[00:56:18] You know what?

[00:56:18] All right, then.

[00:56:19] This is the most pleasure I've had in the last five minutes.

[00:56:23] In the last five minutes.

[00:56:25] I'm not going to lie.

[00:56:26] Oh, all right.
