[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_00]: I recently got an email from my masseuse reminding me that August is National Wellness Month.
[00:00:08] [SPEAKER_00]: Going to a spa is just one way you can observe this month.
[00:00:16] [SPEAKER_00]: You can also go to wellnessmonth.com, but I will suggest just a few other things that you can do to celebrate National Wellness Month.
[00:00:32] [SPEAKER_00]: Welcome to Dreas Point of View. I am your hostess, Drea.
[00:00:36] [SPEAKER_00]: And in 10 minutes or less, I would like to give you my perspective on what I feel passionate about.
[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_00]: I'd love to invite you to follow the show on Facebook, Pinterest, IG and threads at Dreas Point of View.
[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_00]: You can also follow me on X and Spill at Dreas Point.
[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_00]: According to wellsquad.com, you can create a healthy life and work balance.
[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_00]: I know so many don't have that.
[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_00]: They take their work home with them and they have a very bad balance of that's social life.
[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_00]: And social life is just really affects their work life.
[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_00]: You can get some hobbies.
[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_00]: There are many things you can do that don't even cost much.
[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_00]: You can color, there are plenty of adult coloring books.
[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_00]: You can start a podcast.
[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_00]: You try a new workout routine.
[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_00]: There are plenty of meetup groups that offer free classes or even find a video on YouTube and learn something new.
[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Work on getting a better sleep schedule.
[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_00]: It's suggested that adults get seven hours of sleep.
[00:02:03] [SPEAKER_00]: So try to go to bed at the same time. Now, that's what I have a problem with.
[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_00]: I haven't been able to do that since elementary school.
[00:02:10] [SPEAKER_00]: Not even high school.
[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_00]: I was forced to go to bed at a certain time for elementary school.
[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_00]: High school, I stayed around that hour, but that's hard for me to do as an adult.
[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_00]: Eat more fruits and vegetables.
[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_00]: I know so many who don't like either of these, especially fruits.
[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not too picky on fruits.
[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Fortunately, I was brought up on both of them and I still like them both, especially fruits.
[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm not too picky on that.
[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_00]: Another thing we can do to keep well is go on daily walks.
[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_00]: It doesn't have to be for a long time.
[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_00]: I could just be around the block.
[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm lucky that I live in a walkable neighborhood.
[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_00]: So that's not a hard one for me to do.
[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_00]: There's a rule of thumb.
[00:02:53] If you want to go out,
[00:02:53] you have to have a good relationship with your husband.
[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Get a skin care routine.
[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_00]: I notice the older I get, the more I have to do with my skin.
[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_00]: I have to pay attention to it now.
[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Because I have dry skin and it's a part of self care.
[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_00]: So consider getting a facial every now and then.
[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_00]: Men too.
[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_00]: Drinking more water never hurts.
[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_00]: It's recommended that 3.7 liters is good for men while 2.7 is good for women.
[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_00]: Water helps with clear skin and staying hydrated.
[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_00]: I have an upcoming episode talking about drinking hot water.
[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm going to talk about the best way to get a facial.
[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_00]: Whatever you do for a self care, be sure to post it on the socials.
[00:03:39] [SPEAKER_00]: With the hashtag wellness month.
[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_00]: What are your plans for wellness month?

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_00]: It's from board certified pediatrician doctor.
[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_00]: She's launching a virtual clinic for kids with autism.
[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_00]: She has over 10 years of experience working with kids of all ages.
[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_00]: As well as those on the autism spectrum.
[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_00]: She states as a result of my experience,
[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_00]: I am better able to differentiate between neuro typical and neuro atypical behaviors.
[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_00]: She has been working with me for over 10 years.

[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_00]: depression, anxiety, OCD, intellectual delays or other medical conditions.
[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_00]: She's based in Oklahoma.
[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Her virtual clinic glow pediatrics is now open for consultations.
