[00:00:00] .
[00:00:24] And welcome to 562 other Pittsburgh
[00:00:30] podcast. I'm Sean and I'm Ian and this is the only podcast that says off is the
[00:00:38] direction you can fuck nice yeah all right I heard the rocks say that really
[00:00:45] yeah I mean you know he's he's back in WWE and he's full on heel mode full
[00:00:52] on bad guy mode and he's cutting his promos on Twitter that are like
[00:01:00] profoundly laced like you can't do that on TV so he's doing it on Twitter which
[00:01:05] is interesting and he was like and he just like and all you Cody cry babies off
[00:01:13] is the direction you can fuck I'm saying that is genius I need to drop that
[00:01:20] line on somebody someday right I need to be an argument just pull that from
[00:01:24] the archives and be like you know what off is the direction you can fuck nice
[00:01:30] yeah so I like that one yes so I I do and he's been phenomenal like this is
[00:01:39] like to me like the rocks best work ever yeah because it's not like over the
[00:01:44] top with the Rudy Poo candy ass and stuff like that it's like it feels very
[00:01:51] real yeah like you know I mean like and I think professional wrestling is at
[00:01:56] its best when it's like it's always like that they always say a lot of times
[00:02:02] especially in the attitude areas like well that's my personality just turned up
[00:02:05] to 11 yeah like you know okay I get that that makes sense but sometimes turning
[00:02:12] it back a notch the 10 you know and it's so it's not you know I mean he comes
[00:02:20] out and you know he says finally the rock has come back and he finishes with you
[00:02:24] know if you smell what the rock is cook I mean you just have to do that yeah but
[00:02:29] at the same time like everything in the middle is not the the nursery rhyme you
[00:02:34] know stuff that he used to do yeah it's it because of that it has a much more
[00:02:41] route like real feel to it's like oh shit yeah this is personal yeah you know so
[00:02:47] I'm about to jump another wrestling rabbit hole but I I've been enjoying that
[00:02:54] and like that particular line I was just like that is fucking brilliant I don't
[00:02:58] know if he made that up or if he stole it from somebody but I am using that
[00:03:02] someday I'm gonna be an argument of somebody and I'm gonna drop that line
[00:03:10] nice yeah so how you been good yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah I tried watching that
[00:03:19] um
[00:03:23] maybe with the dragon oh dance all I couldn't get into it really yeah wow it just seemed
[00:03:31] to rehash a lot of the old tales that have seen from now the dragon one good yeah I
[00:03:36] don't see but it just seemed I don't know I just couldn't get into it maybe it was in the
[00:03:40] right for maybe that's for because I mean I thought it was very good I though it was
[00:03:45] very well done I mean yeah I mean I thought it was done well yeah it seems like
[00:03:49] it was telling the same story I don't know I just I mean it is to an extent but you
[00:03:53] get to a point and then there's I don't want to call it a twist but it is kind of
[00:04:01] like a twist you know I mean like I mean I don't want to give it away but it it
[00:04:06] is it like but to be getting it kind of it sets you up for everything it's like
[00:04:10] you know it says like you know there are stories of men saving
[00:04:14] dancehall in distress this is not wonderful right you know and I just I found
[00:04:20] it to be very interesting I enjoyed I'm sorry you couldn't get into it yeah I'm
[00:04:24] bummed about about that fact like I hope you maybe I'll give it another shot yeah
[00:04:28] but I liked it a lot yeah
[00:04:33] I guess one of the I would say is one of the better movies I've watched recently yeah yeah
[00:04:40] yeah I watched a very disappointing turn of a movie oh really yeah it was called
[00:04:50] hypnotic okay now it's got Ben Affleck in it it's got William Finchner in it okay and
[00:04:57] it's got Jackie Earl Haley in it for a minute and it's directed by Robert Rodriguez
[00:05:02] okay like this should be like I saw all that and I was like oh yeah okay I'm I this
[00:05:09] should be really good and it was like Robert Rodriguez was trying to do a poor man's version
[00:05:14] of inception oh really yeah just bad like the whole concept of it is there are these people
[00:05:22] that are called hypnotics okay and they they are able it's not like they think they say
[00:05:29] it's not to let the fear you're reading mine it is manipulating a mine and you have this
[00:05:34] ability to manipulate a mine to make them do whatever you want or see whatever you want okay so of
[00:05:42] course you start questioning well what's this person's motive is it real is it not real now are they
[00:05:50] being manipulated and then later on it's like you know is what they're seeing real or not real
[00:05:56] and I feel like this whole scene like we're like it's like the Ben Affleck's in like a real yard
[00:06:04] but like he's looking ahead and it's like bending back and up over him you know it was like
[00:06:13] and like I'm still sticking with it I'm like you know okay I mean you know whatever like
[00:06:19] and like you get to the end and it was just
[00:06:25] it was disappointing because of everybody involved right yeah I mean like
[00:06:31] I was really bummed out because I really wanted this movie to work yeah you know and for whatever
[00:06:37] reason it doesn't and I don't understand like
[00:06:41] the pieces of the puzzle should have fit together and they didn't like it was very surprising to me
[00:06:47] and it was like I mean I guess Robert Rodriguez's do for a dud at some point but man this was
[00:06:54] this hurt it really did it didn't even look like a Robert Rodriguez movie that's the worst part
[00:07:02] yeah that sucks because you you have you have an expectation with a Robert Rodriguez movie just
[00:07:08] how it looks on the camera moves and it was like he was trying very hard to do something different
[00:07:12] from what he normally does and he says it's an idea he's had since 2002 he like he came up with
[00:07:20] the story I think he co-wrote the script yeah and it was just like like okay maybe you had
[00:07:27] like a matrix influence in 2002 and now it's more inception-ish like it didn't feel like
[00:07:37] an original take on the material right and I always just honest I was very bummed out by the end of it
[00:07:46] I would not recommend like as honest as this is me I would not recommend anybody watching this movie
[00:07:53] it hurts me to say that yeah because I love Robert Rodriguez I love Ben Affleck I look
[00:07:59] and like Affleck's performance wasn't lacking and William Finchner's performance wasn't lacking but
[00:08:04] it was just like the overall story just lacked yeah you know interesting yeah it was it was painful
[00:08:13] like I at the end of it I was I honestly was just like it's gonna hurt me to review this movie on
[00:08:19] the show but I can't recommend it like I this not even like well if you like a certain thing
[00:08:24] like I normally do like with a bad movie I'll tell you like it's bad but I enjoyed it like I didn't
[00:08:31] even enjoy this yeah like I it that hurts me to say because I love Robert Rodriguez so much as a
[00:08:37] director yeah you know but interesting yeah so I watched that and I watched three
[00:08:48] Godzilla anime movies because they're all connected yeah um they're on Netflix I was it
[00:08:59] Godzilla monster plant monster planet um Godzilla the city on the edge of destiny and I can't
[00:09:10] remember what the last one was and I enjoyed them yeah except like each one of them had a very
[00:09:18] specific theme the first one was about like our humanity the second one was like our reliance on
[00:09:25] technology and the third one was about religion okay and I mean the overall story arc makes sense but
[00:09:40] and I enjoyed it yeah but I wouldn't recommend anybody right you know because it's like like I
[00:09:46] enjoyed it because like it's like okay I like I'm like it was like we abandoned Earth because of
[00:09:53] Godzilla and we come back 20,000 years later I guess it's only been like 25 years for for the
[00:10:01] humans on the ship because they're folding space and stuff but it's been 20,000 years right and
[00:10:07] I mean and they come back to a 20,000-year-old Godzilla okay they find like in the first way like
[00:10:15] they find like this one and they're like oh that's maybe he just Godzilla just reproduces his offspring
[00:10:21] whatever because he was about the same height and everything and they kill that one at the end of it
[00:10:27] is like oh no there's Godzilla and he's like under a mountain you know when he rides like he's
[00:10:34] huge yeah so like it was interesting like and I enjoyed it because I would say you should watch it if
[00:10:43] you enjoy anime okay like because that's what it was an anime that just happened to have Godzilla in it
[00:10:52] right but it it thematically it was still an anime okay it wasn't a good zilla movie like Godzilla was
[00:10:58] just like the driving force behind everything right but it was interesting like I he said I enjoyed
[00:11:08] it and if you enjoy anime I would say you should give it a shot it's from 2017 on Netflix
[00:11:19] but if you don't like anime if you're like if you're looking for a Godzilla movie right there are
[00:11:24] lots of other options out there and this would not be what I would recommend nice you know guys
[00:11:28] but yeah those are the two things I watched this week nice yeah
[00:11:33] and a bunch of porn yeah well of course I mean that's not to give him so I get a bed every night
[00:11:44] nice I take a swallow um the nightquill and you know just keep going to my nod out you know
[00:11:53] Jesus that's a sight you want to wake up too are knocking on my door walk it hey short oh my
[00:12:02] god you know I got something wrapped around my neck to choke myself hot yeah like fucking David
[00:12:12] Karenine Michael Hodgons see it find me in the closet I can strap up a belt some yeah fucking blue
[00:12:26] the empty bottle of Michael next to me yeah give up
[00:12:32] this is so funny I came across this
[00:12:34] I get the weirdest shit on Facebook oh don't we all and it's just it's not that I'm reading anything
[00:12:46] crazy yeah it just comes up like what's the last thing that was weird they came out
[00:12:52] um something about animal abuse and I'm like why yeah am I getting this crap I didn't even
[00:13:03] click on anything do you know I mean like how get men's health stuff all the time yeah that makes more
[00:13:09] sense because of like you're probably like doing like searches for like because you're
[00:13:16] dieting yeah and like size and stuff like how are you doing stuff like that fat burns right so it's
[00:13:21] probably pulling out information and the algorithms like well let's start you towards men's
[00:13:26] health information you know it's just directly there yeah I don't know it's just so weird
[00:13:34] it's just the strangest things that come up
[00:13:42] it is it's just yeah the last one was
[00:13:45] this is the last one they came up
[00:14:00] the wow yeah here's a little something for you and the mistress to try yeah it's so weird
[00:14:07] spicy life love life yeah that's all I mean yeah that one's called standing deliver
[00:14:14] yeah all right the names are clicking all the way oh I'm sure they always are the face of yeah
[00:14:20] what's this one for
[00:14:25] I don't even understand they can't I mean like yeah I'm not getting there
[00:14:31] I mean like I'm sorry it's uh that's not happened
[00:14:37] yeah the name's killing me yeah the socket
[00:14:43] wait
[00:14:46] where's the funniest one I saw
[00:14:54] I've never seen that in my life I don't think I've ever seen that
[00:14:57] I wouldn't like here's the thing like I would not even bring that up
[00:15:02] like all right here's what we're gonna do 69 bridge yeah the 69 bridge like I would not
[00:15:07] even bring that up like okay here's what we're gonna try I want you to straddle my head
[00:15:17] and lean all the way back yeah and but you're pretty much gonna do yours you know
[00:15:21] you're gonna get in the um when the Blair exorcist position yeah essentially yeah
[00:15:28] and uh you're gonna scramble across the floor and like a spider yeah
[00:15:33] and then shoot your webbing all over my face like no like I would not like
[00:15:43] like I'm sure there are people who do that like I have no doubt but it's like
[00:15:48] it doesn't look comfortable for anybody yeah you know and
[00:15:54] yeah like no no I think I'd leave lose consciousness yeah
[00:15:59] well like I haven't done something I guess since I played football wow
[00:16:05] like I'm just talking about the the male position team uh team sports
[00:16:10] well playing some well you used to do stuff where you like like work on your neck so you like
[00:16:14] bridge yourself up on your neck and rock your neck around yeah you know what I mean like
[00:16:20] so like you're up on your tippy toes and you were in that bridge position on your neck
[00:16:26] yeah yeah yeah you know I mean yeah come on that's it's on the machine yeah I understand that
[00:16:34] I'm I mean again I'm there are just things I would never ask yeah I mean just anybody
[00:16:40] consulted leds up one I think they don't have to stay away to have it is
[00:16:50] kills me yeah
[00:16:51] yeah
[00:16:55] like this can't imagine that one's called the David Copperfield yeah but I can't even imagine like
[00:17:02] okay here let me show you this I saw this article on the internet
[00:17:06] and I want us to try this I think it'll be exciting I'm like you know like what no
[00:17:15] close for business I don't even want to know that's
[00:17:22] I think it's funny yeah it is I mean the name's funny you're right but the names are funny
[00:17:26] yeah anyway anyway yes so oh you know what do you see this one
[00:17:37] oh the butter charter oh yeah it's freaking great yeah no that's never happening
[00:17:51] yeah that's fucking names oh that one's called the iron chef the iron chef
[00:18:06] anyway so lots of interesting tidbits to get to this week this this may be a long podcast
[00:18:16] yeah so strap in kids strap in um I guess the first thing we need to talk about
[00:18:23] is the developments that have happened this week for the Pittsburgh Steelers yeah all the way up
[00:18:31] to today so last week Russell Wilson meets with the Steelers on Monday he agrees the terms
[00:18:43] for a one-year deal okay and I'm cool with that like fine like I can honestly look at Russell Wilson
[00:18:53] and I could say from a talent standpoint in in 14 games last year he threw like 28 touchdowns
[00:19:01] and eight interceptions if you put out the next four games and he what should have played
[00:19:07] what you're talking maybe 35 touchdowns to 10 to 12 interceptions total that's a pretty
[00:19:13] fucking good season you know I mean right like so I understand like from a talent standpoint I like
[00:19:20] signing Russell Wilson makes sense as long as none of the other bullshit comes with him oh he
[00:19:25] knows it's coming I hope not like I honestly do like I hope like I watch an interview with him and
[00:19:32] he talked about like you know the night before he had gone out to dinner with uh Cameron Hayward
[00:19:37] and Connor Hayward and Pat Fryer moved now I think that's a couple other guys but they all
[00:19:42] went out to dinner I feel like like Cameron would have been like you know hey this is who we are
[00:19:48] this is what we do like you know can't just a captain you know and I feel like that that would
[00:19:54] have been a beneficial dinner for Russell Wilson the kind of like leave your bullshit to the side
[00:20:02] you know complete football yeah you know and everything else will take care of itself and we can all
[00:20:06] eat yeah you know I mean um they went and they they signed Patrick Queen for inside linebacker
[00:20:15] okay I love that me too like I was like excited because that's I it's all the linebacker problem
[00:20:23] you've got a absolute stud there a guy that I wish the students had drafted when he was available
[00:20:30] but he got taken by the Ravens like I was just like oh man that that's a great move for the
[00:20:36] Steelers yeah good for them um they signed a punter yeah who looks just like Bill Burr we need
[00:20:44] to putter well yeah I mean they let go of Percy Harvin before that yeah so you knew they were
[00:20:50] looking at a punter now I thought they would paint maybe be looking at the draft to get in the kid
[00:20:53] from Iowa but they go and they sign this guy from Houston who again looks just like Bill Burr
[00:21:01] yeah but you think Bill Burr was a punter but he's very good so you got that and
[00:21:10] everything felt like okay like I'm like all right I can see this you know and uh
[00:21:16] you know we get to Friday
[00:21:17] okay and out of nowhere the announcement comes that you know they've traded can he pick it to
[00:21:25] uh Philadelphia
[00:21:30] they like day or two before they traded the Honte Johnson to Carolina for a corner right
[00:21:39] I mean what should what they need it again this is a need they when they got that corner is
[00:21:43] gonna be opposite Joey Porter Jr right so you got that hopefully situated and I didn't
[00:21:53] I didn't mind that trade just because I mean Johnson's been problematic he hasn't been consistent
[00:22:04] like for a guy his size as well as he runs routes like he he'll make a phenomenal catch
[00:22:11] and then he'll drop the easy one right and you're just like what what the hell you know so
[00:22:16] like that was something like I was just like okay I see why you would trade him away
[00:22:21] it makes sense right but then they trade pick it yesterday yeah and then it comes on
[00:22:32] and there's two sides to this story it comes out people are like well you know
[00:22:39] before the Seattle game when he refused to to dress as the third quarterback that was him throwing a
[00:22:46] hissy fit and then when they signed Russell Wilson he he asked to be traded he he he was very unhappy
[00:22:55] they signed Russell Wilson he has to be traded yeah and we don't need that bullshit here in Pittsburgh
[00:23:01] glad he's gone right now I'm gonna say this first did can he pick it play well last year no he didn't
[00:23:12] right I'm not gonna deny that do I think part of it's him yes so I think part of it is the
[00:23:17] offensive staff he had around them yes do I I think he would have maybe played better given an
[00:23:25] opportunity under a new staff absolutely only because you saw those flashes of greatness you'd see
[00:23:31] those can make that great throw but he also had the problems of missing open wide receivers in the
[00:23:37] middle of the field he had the problem of leaving the pocket too soon like he he had problems I'm
[00:23:43] not denying that for a second I'm not denying he didn't play well and I'm gonna even deny he probably
[00:23:48] didn't handle this situation well right from the sound of the fence but there is another side to
[00:23:54] this story that I think also tails tails an interesting tale a D.D. Kikabawa who
[00:24:05] covered the Steelers for the NFL Network so Adam Schaefter reports the Steelers are
[00:24:12] trading quarterback Kenny Pickett to the Philadelphia Eagles in a pick swap per source sources LESPN
[00:24:20] once the Pittsburgh signed Russell Wilson picket preferred to move on okay that's what Adam
[00:24:25] Schaefter says okay okay the D.D. says preferred is not because Kenny Pickett is running away from
[00:24:32] competition he was explicitly told by the Steelers Wilson will start reneging on a pledge they had
[00:24:39] given him after two years of chaos he'd finally be put in a position to succeed per sources of
[00:24:46] praise of the conversation yeah okay then she says I myself had conversations with an offensive
[00:24:55] minded head coach this week who said he'd take Kenny Pickett in a second and win with him and
[00:25:02] with an far off as exact who via text called him an NFL starter with upside could the Steelers have
[00:25:08] sent a quarterback to a place to have a chance to start and lastly in regards to the number three
[00:25:18] thing with Seattle let's pretend you're not fully healthy and not fully clear to play
[00:25:24] but let's say your team has a starter in a back up that week but you can be the emergency
[00:25:28] third to be if you get a shot if you get shot up the trainers and docs say not worth it
[00:25:35] you're the bad guy for not overroading the doctors right okay so
[00:25:44] if the Steelers have told him hey we're gonna we're looking to sign Russell Wilson
[00:25:50] but we are going to give you an opportunity to compete for the starting job yeah
[00:25:56] because again you're only paying Russell Wilson $1.2 million if he loses a job that Kenny Pickett
[00:26:01] yeah you know big deal you're not paying him that much but if you say like hey we're gonna
[00:26:09] give you an opportunity to start and then once you sign Wilson go oh yeah he's a starting quarterback
[00:26:15] you'll be the backup yeah I'd be pissed too yeah you know I mean now again I am not justifying
[00:26:23] what Kenny did do I think he could have handled it better 100% if what Aditi Kikabawa is saying is true
[00:26:32] this is a a screw up of voluminal proportions by both sides yeah you know I mean
[00:26:39] and then today the Steelers have made a trade with the Chicago Bears to bring Justin Fields here
[00:26:45] yeah and this is what I can't understand well let me tell you in our in our group chat
[00:26:52] Fad yesterday went from six to midnight with the Kenny Pickett trade right
[00:26:58] his email is nothing but telling us how horrible Kenny Pickett is and then today he stayed
[00:27:05] at midnight because of Justin Fields right and I need somebody to tell me what do you see in
[00:27:10] Justin Fields that I'm missing okay I do I need somebody to tell me this because what I see
[00:27:17] is a guy who who 68 interceptions in three years a guy who does not take care of the football
[00:27:24] a guy who at his best when he is absolutely at his best it is when you just let him run
[00:27:34] like a Lamar Jackson right this is not a quarterback you can win with a quarterback who's a turnover
[00:27:42] machine like say what you will about pick it you know he didn't do put your team in a position to lose
[00:27:49] right right you know what I mean no I know like oh honestly like he didn't throw interceptions
[00:27:56] he didn't turn over the ball I got but we're gonna bring in Justin Fields Justin
[00:28:03] Fields to save your of the fucking franchise and he throws interceptions like he's hand
[00:28:10] and I can do it you know at a parade right there's a kind of interception for you here's the
[00:28:15] interception for you like there's a really like if that's like well he can learn under well so
[00:28:21] like no the guy is fucking garbage yeah guys like this spend their careers never developing
[00:28:31] because their coaches in high school and in college tell them to trust their athleticism right
[00:28:38] so now I've got a 23 year old kid who has spent his entire playing career from the time he was
[00:28:47] 10 years old trust your athleticism right yeah so he can't read defense is that well right he's
[00:28:56] not going to be he's not gonna stand in the pocket and make the throw he's gonna break the pocket
[00:29:01] and then he's not looking down field to make a throw he's looking to run the football right
[00:29:07] because that's what he does he trusts his athleticism right right I don't want that like
[00:29:14] I pray to God I am wrong I do like if I'm wrong I will eat my words I have no problem doing that
[00:29:22] right if Justin Fields comes in and he plays lights out football and we want a super ball with him
[00:29:28] praise me right right you know yeah but I just don't see that happening
[00:29:33] like because if he was that good if they were that happy with him in Chicago why would they trade
[00:29:41] him away for a fourth round draft pick right yeah I know like why why is Chicago like we're like
[00:29:52] we're happy to take what you know your your your scraps while you go get yourself a whole new
[00:30:00] quarterback because you don't think you could win with this guy right yeah right now I know
[00:30:06] I mean that honestly like that's but people were just like oh thank goodness we've got Justin Fields
[00:30:12] and I'm like you do understand what's happening here a poorly run franchise right let him go get another
[00:30:21] first first round quarterback the second one we've taken right that because don't forget
[00:30:28] Mitch Trubisky was a guy they traded up for it in the first round yeah and let go he went the
[00:30:35] Buffalo and then he came to us and now we've got Justin Fields who was another quarterback they
[00:30:41] traded up for in the first round right and they've decided to disregard but we're
[00:30:50] happy as hell to have him right yeah I know like it makes no sense to me I hear you you know
[00:31:01] but here we are like I believe I honestly believe if Russell Wilson can keep the B.S. away
[00:31:07] he he he could make a run in the playoffs right you know I mean like I honestly do I feel like if
[00:31:16] I mean right now you've got to get somebody who's going to be on the other side of Pickens
[00:31:22] and like everybody's like well we'll get Tyler Boyd well he's not a two he's a three you've got
[00:31:27] Calvin Austin who's a three like there's no clear number one or number two like you need somebody
[00:31:35] opposite pickets because otherwise all teams are going to do is double team him and maybe even triple
[00:31:40] team like just roll coverage to pickens don't let him beat you right and you know we'll we'll let you
[00:31:48] you know Nick one dime us with with Tyler Boyd and Pat Firemuth and whoever else you want to
[00:31:57] you know hunter hunter Renfrow or whoever else you want to bring right you know I mean like it's
[00:32:05] and then the next question becomes who's your quarterback next year it's Russell Wilson
[00:32:12] but you only have him for a one-year deal oh the next year the next year 2025 yeah
[00:32:19] like do you think they did this to move up in the draft of Pick
[00:32:25] well I mean that but here the that's where the question becomes because so you've got Russell Wilson
[00:32:30] yeah you've got him on a one-year deal you've got Justin Fields who's on his rookie contract
[00:32:37] but this is his fourth year you've got to make the decision right now on his fifth year option
[00:32:42] which is $25 million yeah are you going to pay him $25 million or not yes or no
[00:32:48] yeah like if Russell Wilson balls out he's gonna want 30 to 40 million dollars next year
[00:32:55] yeah and we're not paying you're not paying that so and like so do you draft that quarterback
[00:33:03] this year yeah like do you do you use a a first-round draft pick to get one of these
[00:33:10] you know top-end quarterbacks because like even like it's talking like Bo-Nix or or um
[00:33:16] JJ McCarthy that like they're gonna be available when the Steelers pick yeah
[00:33:21] like but you also have needs a guard tackle and center yeah you know I mean like you you need
[00:33:30] another wide receiver you know you like there are other needs you have to fill that are probably
[00:33:36] a whole lot more urgent but they get back Bernard because now you need a quarterback who's going
[00:33:42] to be your quarterback in 2025 right and like I don't see them paying Justin Fields at $25 million
[00:33:50] but yet here he is yeah you know I mean like like it's it's a conundrum that I don't see
[00:34:00] like it's like wow little more colonies we'll end deal them for this year like like all on they
[00:34:07] are going all in on this year yeah like we need to win today and then we'll worry about next year
[00:34:16] next year well I mean that's not the job of the GM the GM the job is to worry about next year this
[00:34:22] year yeah right you know I mean so like I mean they went it isn't like the first time ever
[00:34:34] in NFL history that a team who had multiple like got rid of all three quarterbacks who started for
[00:34:44] them at one time right Trebuski gone Mason Rudolph gone picket gone right nope you know it's
[00:34:53] unheard of so I don't know like everything with Ketti picket I find you traded them I disagree
[00:35:07] with it but I get it right you know I don't mind the Russ and Wilson signing but man Justin Fields is just
[00:35:20] that one hurts and I hope I'm wrong I know I couldn't understand if G text me today he said
[00:35:30] wrestle Wilson he texted me about fields I was like I don't understand I don't understand the fields
[00:35:35] thing no it makes no sense yeah I don't understand why I don't get it what did they sign him for
[00:35:45] we didn't sign him it was a trade oh he was still to call he's still to contract the Chicago
[00:35:50] they made a trade form this is his fourth year and you have to make a determination on that fifth
[00:35:57] year option okay you know and if I'm if I'm Justin Fields like if I don't start this year
[00:36:09] like in the Steelers and we're not gonna pick up your fifth year option when the go sheet look
[00:36:13] I'm like fuck you I'm trying to free agency that yeah maybe they're doing it as a favor
[00:36:18] I mean you know what I'm saying yeah yeah
[00:36:29] but it's it's it's it's baffling me but like
[00:36:35] I mean I need somebody to just explain it to me explain to me why you are so excited about
[00:36:40] Justin Fields like why is he such a great get right I don't think anybody can
[00:36:49] except for well he's athletic well so fucking what right like I can I'm not
[00:36:57] saying you need an athletic quarterback but he's not athletic he's a running quarterback there's
[00:37:00] a huge difference in that terminology right right Patrick my homes is an athletic quarterback right
[00:37:07] Josh Allen's an athletic quarterback but they're not looking to run right the like they
[00:37:13] they they're athleticism gets him out of trouble and then they make a big play down the field yeah
[00:37:19] Justin Fields gets out of trouble and has his eyes looking down because he is looking to run the
[00:37:26] football not up the field looking to make a play right yeah I know you know
[00:37:40] so I mean it's it has been
[00:37:43] then
[00:37:46] the strangest week I've ever had being a stealer fan okay because they don't do this
[00:37:55] this is not stealer football anywhere near stealer football right now I mean you can say that
[00:38:01] that's a good thing maybe the the stealer way needed to die and this is up the new wave and Omar
[00:38:07] Khan is doing things differently than the stealers did for 40 years previously right okay fine
[00:38:14] you know I mean but at the same time like it is still a whiplash effect to me who somebody
[00:38:21] who's used to there being no activity in free agency yeah it's like all kinds of shit going
[00:38:28] like this guy yeah but we did the same thing last year not a lot of activity and there was a lot
[00:38:34] of activity yeah but not to this extent that Tyler that Tyler Boyd thing was a room right
[00:38:40] that's I mean that's still percolating wow
[00:38:48] I mean don't you know I love Tyler Boyd I do it pit kid local kid yeah you know
[00:38:56] you know
[00:38:57] crossed the river is where he played football one force four state championships never lost a game
[00:39:03] to it went to pit yeah you know I mean like
[00:39:08] and I watched him at pit he's a fucking stud you know at least the pity was but like now
[00:39:16] I guess I mean
[00:39:18] and since then he's off as he's our third-water seeker right I mean you've got Higgins and you've got
[00:39:25] yeah you know so chase so like he he was a third like even before Higgins and Chase got there
[00:39:34] he was like a
[00:39:38] like a hybrid second receiver yeah you know like he was never
[00:39:44] and he's been good he's been reliable but like if you're if you're asking me like have him line up
[00:39:49] every down on the opposite side of George Pickens I know George Pickens has double covered
[00:39:55] every game yeah you know I mean like because you're gonna be more than happy to single cover boy
[00:40:01] and while you may give up your order you're not gonna get beat right like your monster becomes
[00:40:08] don't let George Pickens beat you yeah you know because that's the guy who can change a game in
[00:40:13] a heartbeat yeah in a heartbeat you know Tyler Boyd is not gonna change the game in a heartbeat
[00:40:22] Calvin Austin could if he was reliable that's the problem like he's not reliable right
[00:40:31] we gotta give him another year I hope I hope that's what it needs but like
[00:40:36] I mean and he had that explosive play like that he had that I think it was a 75-yarder yeah
[00:40:40] that like he took to the house and you're like that's why you drafted him yeah but
[00:40:46] you know he doesn't get open yeah do you want to have his always open do you not but
[00:40:53] do you want to was like AB light yeah you know I mean like and because he ran amazing routes
[00:40:59] he got himself open he wasn't the fastest but he really it was precise route running if he told you
[00:41:06] it was you know eight yards and hook he was hooking at eight yards yeah not a seven not at nine
[00:41:12] at eight yeah you know I mean like that's what you want from a precise route runner and he was
[00:41:17] phenomenal with that but he was like so unreliable in the hands department right where like he'd
[00:41:23] make a phenomenal play and then he'd drop the next two right you know that you couldn't
[00:41:29] you know I hope he cleans that up I I like the ontai Johnson I mean I know he has a premium Donna
[00:41:38] tags to him but I mean I got you know that's that's a wide receiver I had no problems with the
[00:41:46] ontai no do you know I did but my only problem with the ontai Johnson was his performance at times
[00:41:54] yeah but I think he saw that catching issue I do too yeah you know but
[00:42:03] yeah I mean there's some exciting things going on right now yeah um you know um
[00:42:13] just wait and see because they did some stuff last year too no I don't think it's big as this but
[00:42:18] yeah I mean that Patrick Patrick Peterson that Queen deal was that's huge that's monstrous yeah I mean
[00:42:26] that is about as close as you could get to like getting um um he's the
[00:42:34] flame linebacker for Baltimore Sugs yeah throw also who I always wished was a stealer yeah yeah
[00:42:42] like I hate that fuckers guts but I wished he was a stealer because he fit you know I mean
[00:42:48] he fit the rivalry though like I hated you because you were at Baltimore you were that fucking good
[00:42:53] and you ran your mouth yeah and you backed it up yeah but at the same time man you were to look
[00:42:59] really fucking good and black and gold and I felt the same way about Queen like I was like man
[00:43:04] like I wish that guy was a stealer yeah I really did and like so that have him come come in now
[00:43:11] it's like well he's already broken in he knows how to play NFL defense he's gonna be great you
[00:43:18] know like I and it solves your biggest problem at middle linebacker that that side on the
[00:43:24] sideline speed yeah you haven't had that since Ryan Shays year yeah you got it for one year from
[00:43:35] from Bush and he gets hurt and he's never the same again yeah you know I mean but like
[00:43:44] you know you so you hope you hope this guy retires a stealer because that's just he's just that good
[00:43:51] yeah you know
[00:43:55] and it is the defensive way I think we're looking pretty solid here oh I mean they're going after
[00:44:01] our safety too right and are I mean another corner not a cornerback well I mean I know that they
[00:44:06] got the y'all take Jackson from yeah Carolina yeah and I mean you know I you're looking at you know him
[00:44:12] and I think they still need like something at the safety position opposite manca yeah but like
[00:44:20] you know I feel like a corner they're pretty solid with one in two and even three like I mean
[00:44:27] I feel like they're pretty solid now with at that spot yeah you love to see him like get a good
[00:44:33] safety opposite manca yeah and then after that I mean you're solid everywhere you know I mean
[00:44:45] like I mean you really are yeah they're pretty they're pretty tough on Dave yeah I mean I feel like
[00:44:53] there were some guys who came through with the defensive line and you feel comfortable with that now
[00:44:57] yeah I mean what in high Smith that say no more you know I mean like like it's it feels like
[00:45:10] it's that funny thing where you were just asking your offense to score 21 points last year
[00:45:16] and the defense will do the rest yeah and I feel like with Russell Willis and the the offense
[00:45:22] gonna score 21 points and the defense will do the rest yeah like honestly like I mean I feel like
[00:45:28] if you could solidify that offensive line a little bit more nausea and worn or a one two punch
[00:45:34] it can't be beat you you throw Russell Willis and the ability to off of play action to make plays
[00:45:41] like he still has his deep ball yeah it's still there yeah you know I mean like he should he
[00:45:47] displayed it last year in Denver yeah so I just I feel like like there's a lot I like about this season
[00:45:59] right but my my problem becomes what happens next season yeah in the season after that like
[00:46:07] that's where my concern is yeah like what I love to do and what listen to Russell Willis and
[00:46:13] like I love to see them sign him till like a three-year deal next year if he plays that well yeah
[00:46:20] we'll see how he plays right but excited to see how he plays so am I but the question
[00:46:25] becomes number one again at what point does the bullshit start to creep in and two are you going
[00:46:30] to be able to afford him yeah he might price himself out he might yeah do you know what I mean like
[00:46:38] nobody's gonna want to pay that money right but that's but that's the problem the students have is
[00:46:42] because they've spent so much money on the defensive side of the ball yeah then it's hard to afford
[00:46:48] a top-end quarterback yeah no I know I get
[00:46:54] I mean you look at what Kirk cousins got paid to go to Atlanta and you're just like man
[00:46:57] the Steelers could have done that right you know I mean like there's no fucking way
[00:47:01] but it'll be interesting right
[00:47:11] so moving on to the nerdy stuff that people want to hear about
[00:47:17] did you watch the Crow trailer yeah I want to hear your thoughts
[00:47:22] I like the I like the casting uh-huh I think he looks good yeah I love the
[00:47:28] yeah the way to make up to be yeah it looks really good yeah um
[00:47:35] I'm kind of torn a little bit because because uh brain and we played
[00:47:40] Draven so well yeah so well yeah I mean he really embodied that character yeah so I mean
[00:47:50] it's hard for me because I don't want to compare it to the first right but you can't help
[00:47:54] compare it to first because that's the standard right and also those that's the names they're
[00:47:58] using it's Eric and Shelley yeah I know you know yeah I'm torn as well like I'll freely admit
[00:48:07] like there's a part of me that wants to hate this but there's a part of me is what like
[00:48:13] here's my problem and I mean and
[00:48:15] the first the first Crow movie with Brandon Lee
[00:48:23] while it is different from the comic book there are things that are pulled right out of the
[00:48:28] comic book right the scene in the pawn shop that is almost verbatim yeah like they took the
[00:48:35] comic book see you know panel by panel and recreated on the big screen right the the scene
[00:48:42] with the junky mother yeah and he squeezes the opium on and he says you know God is the name
[00:48:51] yeah the mother's name of God and the lips and children and you know like that is taken almost
[00:48:58] word-for-word panel-for-panel right from the comic book like there are moments like that
[00:49:04] that you like as a fan of the comic book I appreciated them bringing to the big screen
[00:49:14] and I use the first one I'm gonna say you can't do a one-for-one adaptation of something but
[00:49:21] the way they adapt it still made the source material proud that makes sense right
[00:49:33] now I'm watching this and I don't feel like like I feel like they took like the idea of the Crow
[00:49:43] and they took the idea of Eric Draven and Shelley and it was badass when he shot through himself
[00:49:50] to get to the guy oh yeah yeah like it looks like it's a like and like Danny Hudson the villain
[00:49:57] yeah I like him a lot but it's just it's like it's that thing of like
[00:50:06] it's not even try like it's like it's trying to take like the idea of that comic book
[00:50:11] and we are just gonna completely change yeah but keep the the very very basis of it yeah because
[00:50:18] the original Crow looked like you were watching a comic book yeah from the scene ring the scenes
[00:50:24] the darkness the shots right the deaths everything about that was like you're flipping through a comic book
[00:50:31] right and that's why I think a lot of people like the Crow and I think he pulled Draven off like perfect
[00:50:41] I think
[00:50:42] like it's that weird thing of like right place right time yeah and I feel like like at that time
[00:50:54] like it's not an action movie it's a love story right you know I mean like
[00:51:02] and like the little bits of like everything like everything about that movie is
[00:51:15] it like you know hold it in just such high esteem and I mean and they've done other versions
[00:51:20] of the Crow I mean they did Crow City of Angels which was not good and they did another one which had
[00:51:28] uh
[00:51:30] Kirsten Dunston the kid the guy from the kid from a Terminator 2 which was not good
[00:51:39] they did multiple versions of comic books of the Crow
[00:51:45] some of them were good some of them not so much but that original like version
[00:51:52] and the pain that you know James O'Barr went through losing his wife the tragedy
[00:51:59] and writing this story and everything about it like and then you throw in
[00:52:10] like the the bleak mystique of you know it being Brandon Lee's last movie dying on the set
[00:52:18] everything about that um but the performance is so strong and I mean and to me it's one it's
[00:52:28] one of the best endings to a movie ever like when he's like in the graveyard just sitting
[00:52:37] into tombstone telling Shelley he's gonna like he's coming home and she's walking between the
[00:52:41] tombstones walking to him at all yeah that gives me chills just thinking about it like you know I mean
[00:52:47] like and I'm looking at this trailer and I'm trying very very hard to give it it's fair shake
[00:52:58] but when I hear them say Eric and Shelley I just don't see Eric and Shelley
[00:53:05] that's maybe my problem well I think part of that too is
[00:53:10] because the movie depicted Eric and Shelley so well yeah especially in the flashbacks yeah
[00:53:17] and like you believe that love story yes absolutely 100% do you know what I mean yeah like you
[00:53:24] from flashbacks and bleeding too right you believed that that was real yeah do you know what I mean
[00:53:32] right and they're really gonna have to prove to me in this movie that is real because that is
[00:53:37] the whole basis right out of the crowd yeah do you know what I mean so but it was really true I
[00:53:45] mean just the apartment alone I mean like yeah you know what I mean like it was just
[00:53:52] depicted very well the the crows are really good maybe even at the end when he's like you know
[00:53:58] I've got 18 hours of pain you know and oh shit I mean I mean it's stuff like that that it's like
[00:54:06] you know the way carried himself the way yeah you know um
[00:54:16] yeah it's just crazy like anything like I mean and it's odd to say but James and Barra will tell
[00:54:24] you it's important the soundtrack is extremely important and you go back and you watch on movie
[00:54:30] it's like you know like when he's put on the makeup and that that cure songs playing it's so
[00:54:36] fucking good and you know the STP song later on and like yeah just every like every little thing is
[00:54:44] important in that movie to set the tone and everything about it and I mean and like I just I hope
[00:54:54] like I want to give it a stay in court but every time they say Eric and Shelley I'm like I just
[00:54:59] don't see it yeah you know yeah it not hurts me because I want to I think Scar's girl looks amazing
[00:55:05] I do too like I think like he looks like and then you're right like I mean even that scene where
[00:55:09] like he gets blasted with the shotgun and falls in the bathtub and then he comes out I mean
[00:55:15] fuck it's badass you know he looks good yeah so I mean like
[00:55:19] it's almost like you and you can't you can't go back to the original crow no you know I mean but
[00:55:27] even the bad guy the crow was good yeah that guy was fucking amazing and his goofy's
[00:55:34] sister white whatever yeah just like her eyes you know the pretty eyes yeah but I mean like
[00:55:42] yeah yeah yeah yeah that and they smoked them yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah it's fucked up I mean
[00:55:51] that's just fucked up but that dude that dude was so cool that when he showed up an alien resurrection
[00:55:58] and died in the first 10 minutes I was pissed I was heartbroken I was like I almost walked out
[00:56:04] of the fucking room I know me too I was like oh it's him fine I get to see him I think he was in like
[00:56:10] a seems to me was like an espresso musket tears of shit it was yeah but
[00:56:16] I mean the iron master some ship yeah yeah but he was absolutely amazing I'm serious that dude's
[00:56:23] amazing let me look him up say let's give him the old PNP career retrospective
[00:56:40] so his name is Michael Winkler so okay I forgot about this he was in he was in the three
[00:56:56] musketeers movie it was the one with like Charlie Sheen Keith or Sutherland Chris O'Donnell
[00:57:05] and all over platt as the musketeers yeah but he was also in Robin Hood Prince of Thieves
[00:57:11] he played a guy of Gizborne he's the one who's like why a spoon cousin oh to yeah Alan
[00:57:23] Rickman yeah okay it'll hurt more your twitch yeah you play guy he's in strange days which is a
[00:57:32] movie I absolutely adore so most recently he was in nope which I haven't seen yet but I do want
[00:57:44] to see that looks very good he was in Westworld for two episodes this is voice yeah
[00:57:54] yeah he's done a lot of like video game like voice over work but I mean like he's a cold dude
[00:58:02] yeah oh yeah like he should have had his he should have had his time
[00:58:10] because he played an excellent film yeah he was also in the cob of Monte Cristo okay
[00:58:15] um
[00:58:18] yeah alien resurrection you should have been Harry Potter some shit somebody
[00:58:23] I don't think he's British I think it's a problem he played Paul Rothschild in the doors
[00:58:32] yeah and then there's a bunch of like in the 80s like one episode here one episode there
[00:58:41] but yeah I mean like yeah I mean like he shows up in alien resurrection and dies I'm like are you
[00:58:48] fucking kidding me right well that depressing it was and he was like really good in that too like he
[00:58:57] played a bit of a deck I'm like I like him I like this guy and I mean and the crow like he was just
[00:59:04] so fucking good as top dollar yeah he was but I mean like in alien I mean I was so heartbroken
[00:59:10] yeah I was like I know I'm going back to that but like as soon as he died I was like what the
[00:59:15] fuck yeah he also is this interesting yeah I mean why would you kill the captain off yeah oh yeah
[00:59:23] it's a great captain yeah you know I'm like so pissed I know stupid I mean I know everyone
[00:59:30] dies in alien movies I get you know yeah I don't remember if you expect it right but not a god
[00:59:36] like that that early man let him go out good yeah you know don't fucking alien coming through the
[00:59:42] fucking graded yeah oh way oh come on man that was the worst such a bummer
[00:59:56] it was it was
[01:00:02] so I think we're both kind of in the in the agreement that
[01:00:05] but we're iffy on the crow based upon the trailer right yeah
[01:00:15] yeah I want to like it I really really do and I mean in the thing becomes this
[01:00:23] and I've kind of understood this and I've accepted this a little bit this just not my
[01:00:29] but just might not be my crow right but it might be someone else it might be it very it very well
[01:00:35] could be like you know this this new job like your your kids all in a brick like this maybe like
[01:00:41] their crow I don't know that's true yeah you're you're barking up the wrong tree maybe yes yeah
[01:00:48] okay yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah
[01:00:50] I'm gonna argue that one today okay okay kids my kids will never yeah like this better than
[01:00:57] the original okay you're right you're right I'm bad example but it's a bad example kids their age
[01:01:03] should read be adults their age this may be because I think I mean when that came on I was
[01:01:08] probably 22 or 23 yeah you know around their age my girls are blood have old souls they do yes
[01:01:16] you know right no I you're right but like but I was around that age right when the original came
[01:01:24] on and it affected me a lot like more than like it's a weird thing to say
[01:01:36] but that movie probably affected me as much as I've seen the Star Wars for the first time did yeah
[01:01:43] but it was different because it was like wow like I don't I can't explain it but like it it
[01:01:50] I think there's an STP song that's there is yeah but I feel like it was like one of those things
[01:01:59] where it was like after I washed out it like imprinted in cell phone my soul you know yeah yeah
[01:02:06] like I was like wow okay yeah okay it was that good yeah
[01:02:12] it's hard to have maybe one of the best movies if it's time yes oh there's no doubt about it
[01:02:17] like when you're talking 90s movies in total you have to include that movie as one of the top
[01:02:22] of all time oh yeah you know but it's a so it's tough like it is it's tough I hate
[01:02:38] I hate looking at this and it's like excuse me I feel like it's I'm knocking it but I'm trying
[01:02:47] not to because I want to like it but I don't know if I will just because of my attachment to the
[01:02:54] source material both the original movie and the comic book right now I know you know I know
[01:03:00] I mean my copy is signed by James the boy I went because me and the answer you're talking about
[01:03:07] it was like because she's never read it and she's only seen the movie and she loves the movie
[01:03:13] it's one of her favorites yeah and but she's like I mean why have a copy she's like I know I was
[01:03:20] there when you got it signed yeah like shit that's right minus sign I went to a color book
[01:03:25] in Veson specifically to get my copy signed yeah that I've had since 1994 like you know
[01:03:35] now I know I get it yeah right here that's cool as hell you should hold on to that forever oh I will
[01:03:41] I will it's just but it's just that thing you kind of like it happens so long ago and I haven't
[01:03:47] looked at that in so long I think the movie the crew changed a lot of lives I do too and I know
[01:03:53] that sounds odd but as a gen X person like like that did that honestly did that was like it was okay
[01:04:04] to be dark it was okay to be goth it was okay you know what I mean yeah it kind not it didn't give
[01:04:10] it credence I guess I don't know how to really put it but I don't know it just had it had a whole
[01:04:18] vibe and a whole feel on its own that was completely separate than anything that was being put out
[01:04:23] yeah like and it worked it kicked off like my dark face yeah like I never say I wouldn't
[01:04:30] goh because I don't think I was goh per se but like that was when I grew my hair like the front of
[01:04:36] my my hair went down on my chin yeah yeah and I wore it that way yeah like if I wasn't at work
[01:04:42] my hair was down in my face yeah you know like I was I mean I never forget the story of like you
[01:04:49] know I got my hair down on my face I'm wearing a pair of sunglasses I'm watching the doors at
[01:04:54] this girl's house well a buddy of mine's banging her mom and she's sitting there as I am just
[01:05:04] crushing 16 hours pounders and I'm like paying attention to her and she's just looking like
[01:05:11] you are so fucking cool I'm like yeah I know you know like promise you
[01:05:24] like I was just like in that period you know all right so moving on some interesting news
[01:05:37] in the world of Star Wars it has been announced that the patty Jenkins rogue squadron movie
[01:05:46] is back on really yes she states when I left Star Wars to one woman three I thought maybe
[01:05:57] I'd come back to Star Wars after one wonder woman three so we did a deal for that to happen
[01:06:04] started a deal but I thought I was doing wonder woman when that went away Lucas from now were like okay
[01:06:09] we got to finish this deal we are finishing the deal right as the as the strike was happening
[01:06:16] so I oh addressed the Star Wars and we'll see what happens from there so
[01:06:21] you know based on what we know with the Mandalorian movie with the Ray movie with the
[01:06:36] the Thrawn movie I'm gonna call it like what is your like hearing that they're gonna do a rogue
[01:06:44] squadron movie is that like yeah exciting yeah yeah me too anything fighting in space
[01:06:54] yeah like I mean that's the thing that like really really intrigues me is like I hope there's a lot of
[01:07:00] like battles yeah that's what I want to see yeah and I think that's what we've been missing
[01:07:08] yes to tell you the truth well yeah and all the science fiction that's out there
[01:07:12] but yeah we don't get into these space battles like when I first watched
[01:07:21] oh remember the name of it there was a Star Trek movie when Sulu showed up oh Star Trek
[01:07:32] six you discovered country that was badass and that was the taste of it yeah like yeah
[01:07:39] that battle like the Enterprise is getting hammered and the Excelsior comes flying in
[01:07:44] and yeah it takes the hits for the Enterprise and you're just like yeah yeah yeah but that was
[01:07:52] like the beginning of it right yeah and like you saw him in Star Wars but it wasn't like
[01:07:58] it was okay you know what I mean but then when discovery came out
[01:08:02] that shit blew my mind why why that one battle oh yeah the battle to the first end of the first season
[01:08:13] random second well you know the second season with the like all the little ships and stuff
[01:08:17] oh yeah yeah I was like yeah mine I always liked I mean obviously like your first real taste
[01:08:31] of that is the Death Star in a new hope yeah you know yeah but then you get it on a massive skill
[01:08:40] like what it's still to me one of the best space flight scenes is the battle of Death Star
[01:08:47] to the Battle of Endor like yeah that's amazing the fact they did that all with models and shit
[01:08:53] is like mind-dumbing because there's no computer graphics in that you know like it was like holy
[01:09:01] shit how did they do this but I also always like like I always loved the ship fights and like
[01:09:10] wrath of corn yeah because they were reminiscent of like like sea ships right you know like the
[01:09:25] you know the um the reliance coming in she's making you know coming alongside and firing
[01:09:33] you know at your broadside yeah hitting the you know not not anything at your nose not
[01:09:38] anything at your tail it's broadside shots right and I always thought that was kind of cool and you know
[01:09:44] the the battle in the nebula is like that was like a submarine scene you know like a summer if
[01:09:51] he came to submarine movie because like now you don't have your sensors now you don't have your
[01:09:55] view screen you know you're trying to guess where you're opponent is stuff like that I that I loved yeah
[01:10:01] you fast forward like the next one that kind of blows my mind is the begin the opening scene of
[01:10:09] revenge of the Sith yeah again like you're getting like those battleships are like they're they're
[01:10:16] doing like seamenovers where they're broadsiding each other and shit and but also you've got like
[01:10:22] you know Anakin and Obi-Wan in their fighter is like flying through all this this massive battle
[01:10:28] taking place all things so like I get what you're saying like it's that thing of like
[01:10:36] it says star yeah so I want to see it like the pre-cortology had all three of those movies like
[01:10:44] you had like x-wing and tie fighter battles but they never took place in space right right there
[01:10:50] were always in I tell you what was a bad bad scene from from the new star wars
[01:11:02] the first one the rain one yeah when those b-barbers came in we're loaded with those fucking bombs
[01:11:10] that was the second one was that the second one yeah it was the second that was how it opened
[01:11:14] with the second one because they were taking on the dreadlock yes and the destroyed the dreadnought
[01:11:18] yeah that was some bad ass shit that was cool yeah I mean that was a space battle yeah you're right
[01:11:25] and that was like that was that was that was good yeah I mean I thought that was good yeah I can't
[01:11:33] deny that yeah you're right I mean that was good yeah but then yeah yeah yeah I would love the C
[01:11:49] and even like in the rise of Skywalker you have that here's this you know
[01:11:56] armada of star destroyers and you know you do have like the x-wings and the ties and it's a
[01:12:03] cool battle and then later on like you know the entire galaxy shows up right you know
[01:12:11] in that Avengers like moment but it still it didn't feel as good as we're turning the Jedi
[01:12:20] right it didn't feel as good as like the revenge of the Sith like you know I mean like it didn't
[01:12:26] like it's a weird thing like like that battle just didn't capture that magic that you hoped
[01:12:33] other battles had right and so yes if you're gonna give me rogue squadron like this has to have
[01:12:44] maps yeah yeah like the finale can't be a gunfight it has to be like a massive
[01:12:53] yeah dogfight right you know has to be yeah yeah has to be but also like I wondered like okay
[01:13:05] like where is this gonna take place are you are you setting this after Jedi yeah like in that time
[01:13:12] frame are you setting it later down the the timeline in those 30 years after Jedi yeah you know
[01:13:20] or you're gonna base it off of the current alliance yeah and you know I think it's an interesting
[01:13:32] question that like I don't know the answer to right but at the same time like I did the whole
[01:13:38] thing intrigues me because like if you're giving me like like rogue rogue squadron means something in
[01:13:44] Star Wars yeah you know like I started off as red squadron but you know they were rogue squadron at
[01:13:50] the end yeah you know and like to me like that's something that like it has a little extra meaning
[01:13:59] and I wanted to stand out and I want it to be like you know this is the elite X-wing fighter group
[01:14:06] you know this the the blue angels with the thunderbirds of of Star Wars you know and they are going to
[01:14:15] take down yet you know the Empire then yeah whatever I don't give a fuck I think I'm excited for it
[01:14:22] like I like the idea I know me too yeah I'm ready yeah so I mean there's no release date given
[01:14:31] for this but it is something that like okay yeah it's taking place right and that news is
[01:14:38] enough to just make me happy yeah it should yeah yeah yeah so
[01:14:47] gotta be something else that's it that's not mine I guess all I got this week
[01:14:56] I thought some of these sub-its would drag out further than they did once that I thought
[01:15:00] these would drag out further than they did and really yeah we talk about yanks coming back
[01:15:08] well I mean I think we mentioned a little bit about the retirement like retiring to Jersey yeah yeah
[01:15:15] I mean there was the Bobblehead theft oh and then Jake Gensel trade we talked about that last
[01:15:20] year yeah yeah you know he didn't talk about you know the Bobbleheads were the the younger Bobbleheads
[01:15:25] were stolen yeah that's crazy check mom right there I'm just kidding
[01:15:32] well I loved I saw the meme it was like who would have stole
[01:15:40] these Bobbleheads and then like the next panel was like Bob nutting like announcing like yeah check
[01:15:46] this a Valkyrie and superstar Bobblehead night you know yeah right like that that would make sense
[01:15:52] yeah yeah we just get the pirates on
[01:16:03] they're very weirdly there is hope with people with the pirates okay like
[01:16:11] they have they have some players like you have you have guys where you say man they've got a nice
[01:16:16] young nucleus but like like the problem with the pirates is always going to be that nice young
[01:16:22] nucleus will be gone in five years right you know like these aren't players that are going to stay
[01:16:28] here they they will be traded away they will be sold off you know and we're right back to rebuilding
[01:16:34] and so eat like you have to hope like you make a run in the next five years
[01:16:40] and maybe you get a break here and there you can go to a world series like like Kansas City did
[01:16:46] right you know but the other side of that is Kansas City was willing to sell its future
[01:16:52] to get to that world series you know right they were willing to for one year we're going to spend
[01:16:58] X amount of money extra than what we normally would right because we have a chance to do this
[01:17:05] if we've learned anything Bob nutting is not willing to do that right because when he had the
[01:17:11] chance in 2013 2014 2015 he never did he never pulled that trigger right you know it was at the
[01:17:19] deadline they stood pat or they made small moves it wasn't let's go get that renna player for one
[01:17:26] year we'll trade good prospects for a guy we're going to have this is gonna help us get make that
[01:17:32] title run never right right you know I mean Kansas City did that Minnesota is wanting to do that
[01:17:38] Cleveland's willing to do that like there other small market teams are willing to like take that one
[01:17:43] year run but fall back for the next 10 years right the pirates have not shown it they're willing to
[01:17:51] do that right right now so well yes I look at a lot of like the the towel on the team
[01:18:00] is exciting but I don't feel like they're going to support that talent and make the move if they
[01:18:06] need to make the push it over the top and in five years are all going anyway right now I know
[01:18:14] all right let's end it on that depressing hand
