[00:00:00] Podcast I'm Sean and I miss is the only podcast that says I've got a bad feeling about this
[00:01:11] I did yeah it was like one of those things where I was like I just would have been useless at work like I was drained and
[00:01:36] you know I was painting the toilet so to speak yeah so I mean it was just like one of the things where I was like I just I
[00:01:47] and you know always getting up to the bathroom I was just would have been useless at work yeah even
[00:01:56] like working from home or your I'm just I'm useless so I felt better taken two days off yeah
[00:02:03] and chilling at home and then you know running to the restroom at my leisure so to speak yeah
[00:02:13] but uh yeah so that was a but in that time I mean I watched you NFL draft of first two days
[00:02:25] NFL drafts yeah so you're looking at from the Steelers perspective and it's like this interesting
[00:02:41] thing of like I'm watching like everybody and you look at like like you look at Cincinnati
[00:02:51] and it's like what do they really need well they really need offensive line like their biggest
[00:02:56] problem is offensive line yeah what didn't they draft offensive line okay like you know
[00:03:04] like they went they picked up in the first round they picked up a high-end receiver because
[00:03:08] they're gonna lose either T Higgins wore the other guy yeah and so Jamar Chase they got to replace
[00:03:15] one of those two guys so they're thinking towards the future you know you're looking at at Baltimore
[00:03:21] always solid like you know the Browns are doing clown things like it's just it was like interesting
[00:03:28] and then I'm watching the Steelers yeah and it was almost like a masterclass of like this is who
[00:03:35] we're taking we're just like they were able to actually sit back be patient and get the guys
[00:03:42] that they want and need okay you know and it was very interesting to watch that aspect of it
[00:03:52] as compared to kind like everybody else okay and you mean you look at who they who they got you
[00:04:01] know first round they go with Troy Fa'utama okay who's a tackle from Washington yeah fills a need
[00:04:15] and you look at the guy and you look at his tape and I mean he's not perfect but like what he
[00:04:22] has is athleticism he has long arms he's a guy who can get to that second and third level right on
[00:04:29] plays and you feel like okay wow here here's a guy who fits what the Steelers do yeah day two in
[00:04:38] the second round they go and they get Zach Frazier a center from West Virginia right now
[00:04:43] unlike some people who listen to this podcast I'm not gonna hold it against me with the West
[00:04:47] Virginia okay you know but you look you again you look at his tape and you see a guy who he's
[00:05:00] just he's strong he's athletic he's he's very marquee's palsy like you know I mean like you've
[00:05:10] got a bit of an attitude he was a he's a former amateur wrestler you did amateur wrestling in
[00:05:16] high school he uses um Zach Frazier okay you know he lost twice in his high school career okay you
[00:05:25] know state champion of West Virginia like you know stuff like that and so again like I'm looking at
[00:05:31] this like okay wait it definitely fills in the because we needed a center yeah you know desperately
[00:05:36] and you know he looks like he fits the mold of what you'd want at a modern center yeah plus
[00:05:46] he's got a bit of an attitude yeah even better um then the third round they get Roman Wilson a
[00:05:54] wide receiver from Michigan right and I look at him and having watched Michigan this past year like
[00:06:02] he's like a Heinz Ward type like Michigan had had a game where they ran the ball 30 plus times
[00:06:13] and he was like I loved it because I got the block I guess it's just I'm beating people up like
[00:06:20] he he engages in contact he he's a guy who will go make a tough catch he's a he's a tight tight
[00:06:28] route runner right you know but he's also like quick but not super quick but also just that
[00:06:36] aspect of and you know one the knocks on Deontay Johnson was you know not interested in blocking
[00:06:42] right right you know not interested in it's a play wasn't coming to him he wasn't totally focused
[00:06:50] well this guy has probably those route running skills that Deontay has probably better hands
[00:06:55] than Deontay has and he's willing to put his nose in there and block okay you know so this is a
[00:07:02] huge upgrade yeah um and then they go and they get Peyton Wilson a lot in backer from North
[00:07:09] Carolina State fastest linebacker on the board okay the negatives are he's had he doesn't have an ACL
[00:07:18] like he's had like three ACL surgeries and they just in one of them they just remove the ACL
[00:07:25] so he has an injury history but when he plays and in the past two seasons he's he hasn't had
[00:07:33] injury problems this was earlier in his career when he plays he's a fucking stud yeah and he's as fast
[00:07:43] as Ryan Shays you know fast as Devon Bush before his injury yeah you know I mean like so here's
[00:07:55] a guy that like not only do you have like he's an inside backer but he has played outside so
[00:08:02] just listen as a linebacker but you can put him inside with with Queen and now again you've got a
[00:08:10] formidable inside linebacker duo yeah for years to come yeah you know I mean like it's like like
[00:08:20] those four picks I absolutely love like all four of those picks I gave an A plus two because
[00:08:26] it fits need and they're guys that you look at and you say those are Pittsburgh Steelers okay
[00:08:36] you know I mean now in the next four or next three I mean they draft Mason McCormick a guard from
[00:08:47] South Dakota State okay now look at his tape he looks very good but what South Dakota State plays
[00:09:04] the vision to you good yeah okay so it's tough to judge based upon level of competition you know
[00:09:19] it's like big fish small pond situation right but he could be a project which could work out for
[00:09:27] you right that was stolen and then they got Logan Logan Lee defensive tackle from Iowa who I mean
[00:09:47] once you get in like the sixth and seventh round I think they drafted a cornerback in
[00:09:52] the seventh round he's not listed here for some reason like those are guys you're just kind of
[00:09:59] like like any day three pick is a pick your hope just like hoping can work out like day one and day
[00:10:07] two those are guys that you're like okay you have to work out that center's gonna start yeah I mean
[00:10:14] like like last year Mike Tom and Pitt played that game with with uh Broderick Thomas like you know
[00:10:26] we're not gonna put a my we're not gonna put them out there until we need to then when you finally
[00:10:31] did put a match all of a sudden the offensive line playing improved right like don't these guys
[00:10:36] don't have to earn they don't have dues the okay they need to pay their dues on the field right
[00:10:44] like like you yeah you can't sit you don't have a center outside of Frazier right like
[00:10:53] you honestly don't you have to start Frazier he is starting day one yeah you know you need to like
[00:11:02] if you if you put uh the the guy we drafted the Troy from the in the first round there like
[00:11:11] you just bookend those tackles and you let them go right and you let them do it you know
[00:11:19] those are your tackles for the next 10 years god willing right you know like you just you gotta put
[00:11:25] you like this is the these these guys are in a position where you can't just
[00:11:32] fuck around with them you gotta just put them on the field yeah they you know what I mean and
[00:11:38] I hope Mike Tom understands that like don't don't sit them just because they're rookies
[00:11:45] you play the best player available yeah you know yeah and sometimes he likes to play that
[00:11:52] I start you know you gotta earn your way onto the field is a rookie well I'm sorry
[00:11:59] Zach Frazier is the only center you got he needs to fucking start like don't fuck around
[00:12:05] like like that has this opinion like we're all in now yeah like you know and and he's right
[00:12:12] in a lot of ways I mean you don't you don't go and get Russell Wilson and you don't make the moves
[00:12:16] you made because you're you're playing for you know next year the year after you are playing for now
[00:12:23] in a lot of ways but if that's the case and you have to start the best player
[00:12:30] whether it's a rookie or not right now I mean the the things that didn't get addressed I guess
[00:12:36] at the corner position you'd really like to get somebody else and I think you're gonna do that in
[00:12:43] free age like you know post draft free agency usually usually it usually heats back up yeah
[00:12:50] and I think you need to get a wide receiver and I think you know you go and get local boy
[00:12:57] Tyler Boyd yeah and you bring him in I don't think he's the best option to be a number two
[00:13:03] right but I think he's dependable and you know Roman Wilson like I said I mean I like the guy a lot
[00:13:15] but I would I feel like the biggest problem you're going to have is since there's no real
[00:13:22] quote unquote threat across from Pickens Pickens is going to see a lot of
[00:13:30] you know man-to-man safety over the top to prevent him from making the big play right like we're
[00:13:38] going to let anybody else be less except for George Pickens and somebody's going to have to step up
[00:13:42] to be that guy right and right now that guy really isn't in the room okay like even if you do go
[00:13:50] get Tyler Boyd Tyler Boyd is not gonna he's not that big of a threat that you're going to be
[00:13:56] like oh man we gotta cover Pickens one-on-one you know I mean yeah like you need that that
[00:14:03] threat on the other side from Pickens for Pickens to be able to do the things that he does right
[00:14:09] so like you hope Roman Wilson becomes that guy like Calvin Austin the third will never be
[00:14:16] like I Calvin Austin the third at best is at your third receiver yeah like he he is
[00:14:24] he's a suit he's a souped-up Ferrari that you can't run out there every play yeah well we'll see
[00:14:33] what Russell Wilson does with it right but like the problem like the problem he's like he's your
[00:14:37] third guy yeah like I would never want to have Calvin Austin be the man no you know I mean
[00:14:44] like I think he's great in situations and you know he could certainly like if he gets the ball
[00:14:50] he's an absolute danger to take it yeah but at the same time I just don't trust him enough to be
[00:14:58] that guy yeah yeah you know um and like he said the other is corner and you know I don't know what
[00:15:08] you do there I'd have to see who's available in free agency but it's just as a situation where
[00:15:16] like you got the guy you got for Deontay Johnson Deontay Jackson I think is his name you got him
[00:15:22] from Carolina to play but like is he good enough like even if you say like okay yeah we really
[00:15:30] like him a lot and he's our second corner you know opposite Joey Porter Jr. yeah like who's your
[00:15:39] slot like who's that who's that diamond nickel guy and like and they really don't have that guy
[00:15:44] I've heard they were talking to Kim Sutton I'd be more than happy to bring Sutton back
[00:15:50] yeah you know and let him be that third guy or maybe even that second guy you know I mean he could be
[00:16:00] he was certainly good when he was here and you know I mean I'm surprised he's on the free
[00:16:03] Asian market yeah but now it's just a matter of like you know what can you do to fill in
[00:16:10] the final pieces yeah so I mean Omar Khan did a like it's it's so interesting like the watch
[00:16:21] because you're thinking like oh this is a whole new level of like Steelers of Steelers football
[00:16:26] like Omar Khan's willing to make moves he's willing to make trades he's willing to do this
[00:16:30] he's willing to do that he wants to do things that no other GM is willing to do in Steelers
[00:16:36] history yeah and it becomes that thing of like well you were kind of like sitting there going
[00:16:43] well is Omar gonna pull the trigger and try to move up to get somebody
[00:16:48] and he never had to eat like he had the foresight to go this is how this is gonna fall
[00:16:52] and we're gonna get our guy every single time yeah you know and when you can do that I like
[00:16:59] got a lot like sometimes yes you do need to move up sometimes yes you do need to move back but
[00:17:07] he was just it is just like that that self-control to not have to do that like I like that like I
[00:17:17] that was my concern like it was great last year yeah you moved up and you got you got
[00:17:21] broader Thomas and you did this and you did that and you made this move in that movie you
[00:17:24] did all these things that was great but do you have the self-control to not and he showed that this
[00:17:32] you're like it no I don't have to yeah I'm gonna read the board as it I'm gonna you know like
[00:17:38] I'm gonna read the green as it is and play it as it lies yeah you know and I like that a lot
[00:17:45] yeah it looks pretty good from what you said yeah we'll see that we will
[00:18:00] that we will so I was also glad they didn't trade for Brandon I look okay like
[00:18:11] that was calling for it like that's all they need to trade for I look I'm like
[00:18:16] no because like you're gonna get them this year and then you have to pay up yeah and the way like
[00:18:22] the way veteran what receivers are being paid now like all my Ross St. Brown just got
[00:18:28] paid by the lines you know 15 million guaranteed yeah that's tough like I'm not all like I hate how
[00:18:47] some position like like wide receivers now is becoming too expensive you're right you know I mean
[00:18:56] and like everybody has the same salary cap and everybody's made made money so that's not
[00:19:01] the problem but the problem is how do you spend that cap yeah you know and like so if you're gonna
[00:19:11] spend 50 million on a wide receiver and 40 million on a quarterback like how do you afford anything else
[00:19:25] yeah I know like that's the same for Cisco's finding out but they've had the luxury
[00:19:31] like at some point they're gonna have to play Brock Purdy right like right now he is making
[00:19:39] like as much as like an accountant does right now like I mean he's literally making peanuts still
[00:19:45] right you know he's on a rookie contract as you know the last pick in the draft right you know
[00:19:52] and the the NFL PA guidelines like the the the way the the it's set up like you can't
[00:20:00] renegotiate with him until his contract is up but at some point he's gonna go from making
[00:20:10] like 300 000 dollars a year to making you know 30 to 40 million dollars a year
[00:20:18] right like he is going to see a massive jump in how much he makes at some point very soon
[00:20:26] but like in the case of the Steelers like you know you're paying
[00:20:33] Micah you're paying TJ Watt you're you're paying Cam you're you're paying Queen
[00:20:41] you're you know you're paying guys because you had a like your your starting quarterback was on a
[00:20:48] rookie contract yeah and like now like I mean the question with Justin Fielding do you pick up his
[00:20:53] 50 year option and pay him 25 million dollars next year right well the Steelers really can't
[00:20:59] afford that they've kind of priced themselves out of being on the big quarterback that much
[00:21:05] like so I mean they're they're it's it becomes that thing of like
[00:21:13] first of all I have been a proponent of I heard somebody say something was I want to say with Pat
[00:21:19] McAfee but I could be wrong quarterbacks should be in their own bracket like quarterbacks should
[00:21:24] have their own cap completely separate from everybody else right because what quarterbacks
[00:21:29] get paid is ridiculous right like honestly like it's like when you have like that guy who comes up
[00:21:36] like like Dak Prescott and it's like well he's got to be making 50 million dollars a year
[00:21:42] why he's not that good right but he's going to yeah somebody's gonna pay him that yeah you know
[00:21:49] Kirk Cousins like yeah you know like it's like what why why does like when your contract is up
[00:21:57] you automatically have to become like the next guy right to make like like you know you actually
[00:22:04] be able to look at a quarterback and go you know what I mean we like you we think you can help us
[00:22:09] well like how you're on the offense but you're 20 million dollars yeah you know I mean like you're
[00:22:16] you're a 10 million dollar guy let's face facts right you know but no that's not how it works
[00:22:21] it's automatically okay so-and-so is up for his renegotiation so this means he has to make
[00:22:28] X amount of money I think no there are guys who get paid in this league at the quarterback position
[00:22:36] like I'm like he did not deserve that money you know you know you won't need it what's his
[00:22:45] Russell Wilson well but like okay with Russell Wilson like I agree I'll agree with you to a certain
[00:22:51] extent like the thing you end up having to ask yourself in Denver is was Russell Wilson the problem
[00:23:01] was Denver the problem right like if you look at what Russell Wilson was doing before they benched him
[00:23:07] yeah like he would have had he would have had like probably like 30 touchdowns to 12 interceptions
[00:23:14] that's not a bad year yeah you know he probably was thrown for around 4 000 yards like if you give
[00:23:20] me that in Pittsburgh I'm obviously dancing an Irish jig yeah you know I mean like it
[00:23:29] he is good like he shouldn't be the highest paid quarterback in the NFL but he should be near
[00:23:36] the top okay you know I mean like he was that good at a time right you know but like
[00:23:46] here I mean here's the prime example Cincinnati okay Cincinnati had to pay Joe Burrow
[00:23:54] and rightfully so in my mind Joe Burrow is the second best quarterback in the NFL right now
[00:24:00] like there's not a Joe Burrow is that good and Cincinnati is so fucking lucky to have
[00:24:06] right like I would kill to have Joe yeah you know but then they have T Higgins and
[00:24:13] they've got Jamar Chase right and now the the wide receiver mark is exploding and
[00:24:19] you know how much do you how can you afford to keep base of those guys well you can't right
[00:24:27] you know you're gonna keep one of all because you had to pay Joe Burrow so much money right
[00:24:32] you know so it's it's that thing like the and the cap works I'm not being anti cap but
[00:24:41] but what the problem becomes the markets becomes so imbalanced between positions that you can never
[00:24:50] have a great team right like like I watched on the first time I watched a Bill Belichick was on
[00:25:03] the Pat McAfee show uh he was doing the draft with Pat McAfee and his and his crew
[00:25:09] and Bill Belichick made a great statement he's like you know we talk about the 1983 draft and all the
[00:25:16] great quarterbacks that were taken that year and you're right but he's like it's not about individuals
[00:25:22] it's about team building and he's like and when you talk about team building you have to talk about
[00:25:28] a draft that took place 50 years ago the Steelers draft in 1974 they drafted four Hall of Famers
[00:25:35] and picked up another one in free agency Lynn Swan, John Stallworth, Jack Lambert and Mike Webster
[00:25:43] all drafted that year yeah and they pick up Donny Shell in free agency yeah unsigned free agent
[00:25:49] they bring in and he becomes their starting safety you know what happens immediately after that
[00:25:53] four Super Bowls in six years yeah one of the greatest dynasties ever right
[00:25:58] you like because they built a team in that draft that's why I look at this draft I'm like
[00:26:02] that's a lot of team building going on there right you know but like now it's tough to build the team
[00:26:10] because the the the cost of the positions has become so off kilter that you pay one or two guys
[00:26:23] and the rest of the team you have to like you know start shopping at Dollar General for
[00:26:29] all right you know I mean that's how it goes so I mean it I think it's gonna be interesting to see
[00:26:39] how like next year I mean let's say Russell Wilson throws
[00:26:48] 30 touchdowns against 12 interceptions and he throws for
[00:26:53] 4,000 yards okay okay let's let's say that's what happens well he's gonna want to he's gonna want
[00:27:00] top end money he's gonna want 40 million a year right well let's see what's gonna
[00:27:05] afford us and now Russell Wilson become a one-year wonder and he's off and now you have to ask yourself
[00:27:13] are we resigning Justin Fields right and what are we willing to pay Justin Fields can we get
[00:27:21] him to a two-year 10 million dollar contract like we signed Mitch Trimitzky to right because
[00:27:27] you're unproven all right you failed in Chicago right you know I mean so like
[00:27:34] it's it's they're they've got themselves in a bit of a bind as far as like they've taken advantage
[00:27:41] of the fact that they had a rookie quarterback on a rookie contract and the veteran was taking
[00:27:48] not that much money either and they've signed other players to high the high price
[00:27:58] and you know at some point George Pickett's is gonna need to be paid right you know and you know
[00:28:05] that's going to be like is that a high-end contract yeah you know so like that those are
[00:28:12] the things that if you're a Steelers fan like what are the answers to those questions yeah because
[00:28:20] like this draft like I look at this draft and it's team building but it's team building towards
[00:28:24] the future as well where you're creating you're setting yourself up to have like a
[00:28:30] badass offensive line and you have nausea in the back you've got worn in the back
[00:28:35] and you've got you know you can just bludgeon people all fucking day yeah but at the end of
[00:28:44] the day who's taking snaps and who's that guy throwing to is becomes the problem yeah and
[00:28:48] the market for those two positions is becoming so out of whack with everything else that it's hard to
[00:28:55] have balance across the entire team yeah what are you willing to sacrifice right most teams
[00:29:04] are sacrificing defense thinking offense will win you games yeah that's right right I mean but
[00:29:15] but that's the philosophy is I would rather go cheap on my defense and I'm gonna build up my
[00:29:24] offense and spend all my money there right you know the Steelers have been up there the highest
[00:29:28] paid defense in the NFL going in the last season really yeah that's cool I mean interesting yeah
[00:29:36] but I mean in a league where like I I mean I could point to Kansas City this year and say
[00:29:43] well the reason the whole reason they want a Super Bowl is because they had a phenomenal defense
[00:29:48] and Patrick Mahomes yeah because they had nothing else yeah you know I mean like that was probably
[00:29:54] the worst set of offensive skill players Patrick Mahomes has ever played with right you know and
[00:30:01] they're doing everything it can to rectify that Cincinnati now because they know like
[00:30:06] that offense needs to be a juggernaut yeah but
[00:30:11] yeah all right so
[00:30:21] other business okay we talked about just a little bit like for a second like they've
[00:30:28] Kenny would announce that they will not be opening the Steel Curtin roller coaster this year
[00:30:34] right um it's been one of the situations where it has been
[00:30:42] shut down more often than it's been running since the ride opened right and they they shut it down
[00:30:49] this year because I guess they want to work on it to fix the glitches and get it to work properly
[00:30:56] so somebody is filing a clash at class action lawsuit against Kenny was parent company
[00:31:04] was stating if they knew the Steel Curtin was going to be closed
[00:31:09] while selling season passes right so I mean their point is I bought my season pass
[00:31:22] with the expectation that at some point I would get to ride that roller coaster right
[00:31:26] and now you're telling me after I've bought the season pass two weeks before the park opens
[00:31:33] that we're not going to get to ride the coaster it's shut down for the year
[00:31:39] and that's unfair and I deserve my money back or whatever I don't know but now
[00:31:55] superfan thad who is an avid lover of Kenny would right and a um
[00:32:02] a lover of the amusement park genre as a whole when asked said fuck no I'm not joining a class
[00:32:11] action lawsuit it's perfectly understandable to me that they would shut down the roller coaster
[00:32:15] okay reasoning his reasoning was essentially this happens all the time yeah like you know
[00:32:26] you know essentially he looked at it from the standpoint of let me see if I can find it because
[00:32:33] it was in our um let me see if I can find it here we talked so much shit to each other in our chat
[00:32:51] okay so I said I take you will not be joining the class action lawsuit and thad says why rise
[00:32:58] good done all the time and out for a year I have never seen disney's suit for having
[00:33:02] attractions out for a year or two for refurbishing or repairs I went to disney and it's a small world
[00:33:08] was down two years while they refurbished a ride does that qualify for a refund right my answer was
[00:33:14] you could hear my answer next week in the podcast right now thad feels it's unfair he should be
[00:33:19] here to defend Kenny would okay which is laughable to me because it's like that part that that hippie
[00:33:26] who's like you know I'm all about peace love and you know everything you know not being non-corporate
[00:33:33] but here let me take this picture of my iphone you know yeah yeah that type of shit so but in a way
[00:33:43] I understand that's point okay like I'm not going to say that's wrong but I also think
[00:33:54] you know like Disney Disney's a poor example because Disney's open year round
[00:34:02] so Disney like if I'm setting up to go on a trip to Disney world and I'm hoping to ride it's a small
[00:34:08] world for some ungodly reason yeah um you know I'm playing that trip out well in advance
[00:34:16] and more than likely before my trip I'm going to find out it's a small world was shut down
[00:34:23] right unless you know and even then like it's a situation like even if they shut it down the
[00:34:29] week I was going like I feel like they give enough notice that I could have made a decision you know
[00:34:36] I mean like right where with Kenny would Kenny was only open so many months out of the year
[00:34:42] and you'll see you have to make a decision on that season pass like right you know I mean like
[00:34:49] so it's it's like that situation of like I understand where this this person's coming from
[00:34:57] but I'm also of the mindset of like
[00:35:02] that coaster has been such a fucking disaster that buying a season pass I would go with the expectation
[00:35:10] that any day I go there it's probably going to be shut down yeah like you know I mean like
[00:35:15] that's like if it if it was me like I'm going to Kenny will look for my one day
[00:35:26] being forced to spend $25 on a souvenir cup you know it to me it would be like yeah it's a
[00:35:34] disappointment because I'm I only go to Kenny would once a year and the ride is closed and I'm bummed out
[00:35:39] yeah but like you as a season pass holder who goes multiple times a year well I understand
[00:35:46] like you're thinking that this thing is at some point the fucker's gotta be open right
[00:35:51] like I would just go in with the expectation of like it's gonna be closed like if I get to
[00:35:56] ride it I'll be lucky right you know I mean like that's the expectation
[00:36:00] I think you should have because the fucker's been a disaster it just it has I'm like and weeks ago
[00:36:08] Thad was trying to defend that like oh it's a prototype the fucker should work the fucking
[00:36:13] thing should work right like prototype or not like it should work right you know
[00:36:22] and that's my expectation and like you know and Thad's like well you know that that's on the people
[00:36:29] who designed the coaster well no it's on Kennywood too it's the people on Kennywood the people on
[00:36:33] Kennywood asked for a cutting edge roller coaster that's never been done before right
[00:36:39] and they got it and it doesn't work half the time right and or three fourths of the time
[00:36:46] actually and so it's like yeah the designer needs to be held accountable but so does Kennywood for
[00:36:52] wanting it yeah here's the thing if it's shut down three quarters of the time do you want to write
[00:36:57] no right you know like I don't want to write that I don't want to write that fucking jalopy
[00:37:05] taking that to foodland no that's what I mean like why would you if a ride is shut down that much
[00:37:13] that's got problems yeah you don't see the monogahela monster going down like that all the time
[00:37:18] hey does he the logjammer breaking down like this no but yeah yeah at those heights and that speed
[00:37:26] well I think I'm good yeah I'm okay yeah just move over here to the potato pitch yeah
[00:37:35] yeah exactly I'll stick to the bumper car yeah put me on the whip this is a fucking fun ride
[00:37:41] yeah ride the turtles this year it's open again yeah but yeah I mean like I mean
[00:37:49] what I'm saying is like you know if the turtle malfunctions
[00:37:53] you're just going around in a circle you know what I mean like for the whip yeah you're just gonna
[00:38:00] go down the track and loop yeah you know fucking Phantom breaks down while you're on it
[00:38:06] that's fucking final destination shit yeah you know what I mean like yeah I don't want to experience that
[00:38:13] no you know no one does like I remember there was a year I wasn't there but the breaks on the
[00:38:23] laser loop went out and it just kept going and going and like it went around they said like
[00:38:33] 30 times like you reach a point where you're like like after like five right if those on the laser
[00:38:44] loop was just a very simple coaster it launched you forward you went around the loop you went up a hill
[00:38:48] right you came back down it went back around the loop and went up another hill and you came
[00:38:53] back into the station you were done that was it 10 second ride right yeah but love for some
[00:38:59] reason but it was a 10 second fucking ride and like after like the third or fourth time like I would
[00:39:09] become concerned like you know to me like there's definitely a problem here and like when you get
[00:39:17] to like 30 like I'm thinking like okay I'm going to die like you know stop this thing at some point
[00:39:25] I'm going to die yeah you know so but like I get shit breaks down
[00:39:36] I get sometimes you have to shut the shutter ride down because of you know with an amusement park
[00:39:45] like Kennywood like Cedar Point like Kings Dominion like seven six flags like like Disney like you
[00:39:54] all these places they have sensitive safety measures built into the rides yeah for the most
[00:40:04] part I'm sure the jackrabbit does not what you know that fucking rickety thing yeah it's a classic
[00:40:11] it's a classic but yeah I mean that something tells you there's no safety measures on that
[00:40:15] fucker yeah I mean when you go in on it at night there's lights barely work yeah yeah
[00:40:20] little Edison lights yeah nothing nothing they've been there since 1934 but um
[00:40:27] that's the magic of riding wooden coasters it is it absolutely is yeah but um
[00:40:34] but like these new coasters like the the phantoms revenge and and and this and you know they
[00:40:41] they have safety measures built into it that are so sensitive that like you know one little thing
[00:40:46] like a bird shits on the track and it's shut down yeah you know I mean like that's how set like so I
[00:40:52] understand that you know it's not like going to your local carnival and the meth head is right you
[00:41:01] know running a roller coaster that he assembled like a an erector set yeah you know off the back
[00:41:07] of a trailer you know yeah like no thank you you know I'm more likely to die on that piece of
[00:41:15] shit yeah mom never let me ride this or oh me me my mom neither like I remember like the year the
[00:41:21] fireman's rather than the 50th anniversary of the uh the poor view fire department and they had like the
[00:41:29] fair rides yeah and like my parents like if I catch you on one of those motherfuckers you are dead
[00:41:36] like yes ma'am yes sir I ain't doing shit all right you're okay you know um which
[00:41:43] sucked because like all my friends were like riding them like they're all riding the ferris wheel and
[00:41:48] these wacky do rides and I'm like you know I'm down here riding the little little spinny thing you
[00:41:54] know that was the only thing I could ride because it was like staying on the ground the entire time
[00:41:57] you know I think this sucks you know but it was like you spun in a circle and
[00:42:05] but you weren't up giant barrel that spun as well it was wacky but even then I was like man after
[00:42:11] a while I can see where they're they got a point but my friends mean while like having the time they're
[00:42:15] alive like risking their life and limb yeah you know my parents for you know don't you trust one of
[00:42:21] these methods didn't someone die in the salt and pepper shakers one year or is that an urban legend
[00:42:29] I think it's an urban legend I swear somebody died on this I've heard that but I think it's
[00:42:33] an urban legend remember the sound they made they're like oh yeah yeah those things were awesome
[00:42:42] those were up by a kangaroo yeah not kangaroo, a pirate ship yeah by the pirate ship yeah like the salt
[00:42:48] and pepper shakers the pirate ship and the enterprise were all in the same area
[00:42:54] yeah but yeah so like I like I understand Thad's viewpoint and I'm not gonna say he's wrong
[00:43:05] I think it's a little bit too corporate show like I feel like Thad got paid
[00:43:09] you know like his defense of Kennywood was like so like
[00:43:15] it was funny to me like I mean like it was like I feel like he's like a corporate show for Kennywood
[00:43:21] um but I also understand that this other guy's viewpoint now I think the lawsuit itself is frivolous
[00:43:29] right you know what I mean like it's like yeah there are better things for a judge to be doing
[00:43:33] and rolling on this shit but I understand the point of like
[00:43:40] I had an expectation this year and I feel like it was a bait and switch yeah
[00:43:47] you know yeah like honestly like come to Kennywood ride the steel the steel curtain roller coaster
[00:43:53] I've bought my season pass I can't wait to ride the steel curtain roller coaster oh by the way
[00:43:58] the steel curtain roller coaster will not be running this year for safety reasons what the fuck
[00:44:04] like you know so I get it but at the same time like I just that would have been if I was that me
[00:44:18] that purse like my expectation would honestly be well the fucker doesn't run anyway I probably won't
[00:44:23] get there when I have again this year anyway yeah you know but but I get it because it does feel
[00:44:29] like a bait and switch in a lot of ways so so with that though I will dip my toe into the mail bag
[00:44:38] because that is it we ending no but but like well we're on the subject of Kennywood that
[00:44:44] that did go this weekend this past week yeah no um it's time for the annual Kennywood review
[00:44:55] the park look has not looked better like good again you want to talk about corporate show
[00:45:01] like again this review feels like something that was like bought and paid for by Kennywood Inc
[00:45:08] um the park was painted and there was no trash in the park the rides were running into kids were
[00:45:14] screaming it did go by myself since I am single now I was able to ride a few rides and ate my
[00:45:21] favorite foods I had some awesome french fries and gravy I was able to wash that down with
[00:45:28] a nice free lemonade with my seasoned past drink cup yeah well aren't you special lemonade and gravy
[00:45:38] fries oh yeah that's that I mean that's not like a witch's brew of like oh it gets worse because
[00:45:43] later on he had hot some hot sausage with like peppers and onions so you throw an adult top of
[00:45:54] the fries and gravy and the lemonade oh someone's shitting in the wet bathroom well
[00:46:06] later on I took my first shit of the season in a nice clean bathroom
[00:46:15] so there you go yeah I wrote a few coasters even the train Kennywood cares about us
[00:46:23] consumers make sure I have an awesome experience thank you Kennywood like holy fuck dude like could
[00:46:33] you get Kenny Kangaroo's dick any further in your mouth wow you know did you put that did you
[00:46:39] put your head in the pouch yeah I mean holy shit yeah oh and it's pretty ripe I mean come on man
[00:46:53] yeah I get it it's like you're it's like you're safe place but I mean dude like
[00:46:59] wow yeah no we see how to get time at least he had a good time and and took a poo right
[00:47:24] I like to go back to Kennywood this year I have no desire like I mean I'm just at that point
[00:47:36] in my life where like I don't like crowds at all right like I was watching the draft I'm watching
[00:47:43] the NFL draft and you know Pittsburgh is applying to get the draft to come to Pittsburgh because they
[00:47:48] do it in cities now they don't it's not just in New York at Radio City Music Hall like it's
[00:47:53] like it was for years right they actually like have it in like host cities right and this year
[00:47:59] it was in um Detroit okay and like you know the Steelers are applying they wanted to bring the
[00:48:05] draft to Pittsburgh I can understand why I mean night one and night two had over 500,000 people
[00:48:14] go through there wow that's a lot it is it's a ton but 275,000 people and one and on night one
[00:48:24] I don't want to be standing amongst them no like like looking at that experience now like
[00:48:30] 20 something Sean would have like ponied right up yeah like I would have been there I'll be all
[00:48:35] three days I'd be there yeah 51 year old Sean fuck that shit I'll watch it from home okay you know
[00:48:43] I mean like and like the draft like I have very few things on my bucket list and the draft was
[00:48:52] one of them yes like but I wanted to go to Radio City Music Hall and experience it there
[00:48:57] okay like because I mean again I'm sure if I was a 20 something or even in my 30s I'd probably be
[00:49:06] like oh yeah we're going to that you know 30 something showing up and I get at least night one
[00:49:11] I'm going to the draft you know but now like that crowd I would just go insane with right
[00:49:21] you know I hear you know 2008 I went down to um I went to downtown Pittsburgh for both the
[00:49:29] Steelers Super Bowl parade and the Penguin Super Bowl parade right glad I did it never do it again
[00:49:35] I think that was at the time like I was kind of like man I do not like crowds yeah because that's
[00:49:41] what that is I mean that was yeah you know a couple hundred thousand people jammed you know
[00:49:48] into a small spot yeah okay yeah but that's how I felt when I was when we went over to the Norlitz
[00:50:00] yeah you know like Bourbon Street was just so fucking crowded yeah you know what I mean right
[00:50:09] and like just loud and obnoxious and too many people yeah too many people drunk yeah and like
[00:50:23] it just was not a good time everywhere else was good yeah just not Bourbon Street and it's a shame
[00:50:29] because people go to Bourbon yeah they're specifically going for Bourbon Street it was not worth it
[00:50:34] it's the tourist trap yeah it was not it was not worth going to Bourbon it was worth going
[00:50:39] everywhere else yeah yeah it's weird but like I think like with like an amusement especially like
[00:50:45] Kennywood like you're there the middle of July the sun beating down on you where Kennywood yeah
[00:50:57] there is little than no shade you know I think what's worse is I think see the point's worse
[00:51:04] it is no I will not deny that it is I mean that is just like a fucking parking lot with
[00:51:11] with rides but there is there's zero shade it's just calm that like there there are at least
[00:51:17] shady places in Kennywood the problem becomes they are usually jammed packed with people
[00:51:23] because it's so fucking hot yeah you know um that that's the problem with like a place like
[00:51:32] like it's so hot there's no I don't want the same way yeah you would think with I don't
[00:51:36] want with all them trees yeah it would be cooler it's not no I don't know why Pittsburgh I don't
[00:51:43] know why Kennywood is a little bit cooler than I don't want because even there's a temperature
[00:51:47] change of going into the mountains there yeah but it's not as hot as fuck yeah and I mean
[00:51:53] it's just it's jammed packed with people yeah like there's nowhere you can go to get away
[00:51:59] from people yeah that's the problem right you know and
[00:52:06] like after like a couple hours there I'm just I would just be like oh fuck this like you know
[00:52:11] yeah it is too hot it's too smelly yeah you know the algae in the pond is ripe
[00:52:20] oh you know like it like this is just all bad voodoo the sewage yeah you know so
[00:52:30] so no like I like I've read like and I and I enjoy roller coasters
[00:52:35] you know so I mean it has nothing to do with my weight and everything to do with
[00:52:39] like I'm just at a point where like like I'm agitated with people yeah you know so
[00:52:45] I get it yeah I get it yeah so I watched um I started watching uh
[00:52:57] fall okay I'm watching that it's pretty good it's very good yeah not just very good but it's
[00:53:03] it's real good yeah um music's good acting's good yeah design of it's really good right
[00:53:12] the little Easter eggs are good yeah yeah if you're somebody who's good if you're somebody
[00:53:17] who's played fallout there is definitely some nice little Easter eggs here in there
[00:53:21] yes like I'm I'm not a fallout fanatic I played it years ago the fallout three uh but
[00:53:31] like I there's enough for me oh oh okay that's that's a cute little piece but like
[00:53:35] overall like I've really enjoyed the show yeah like it's really really well done right and
[00:53:41] it's an odd thing of like it has like that 50s feel oh yeah but yet like that odd 50s futuristic
[00:53:50] feel as well it's very good yeah it's it's it's very well done I love the cowboy oh yeah the cool
[00:53:58] yeah yeah love him now Walton Goggins I mean the second you see him on anything you're okay
[00:54:04] I'm gonna get something good yeah he's just that good yeah and the music placement is very good
[00:54:09] yeah yeah it's just really good I'm pretty impressed so am I I mean for a video game series yeah this is
[00:54:17] really good yeah I agree yeah yeah I absolutely agree because it is extraordinarily well done and
[00:54:27] it's telling an interesting story and it's not trying to recreate a story large from the game
[00:54:32] and it's bloody yeah which which the game is yeah you know but they hold back as no they did not
[00:54:41] yeah I like yeah so do I I've really enjoyed it yeah and I'm looking forward to the ending I'm
[00:54:48] I'm on episode eight out of nine oh and so it's been good I'm not that far yeah I'm
[00:54:54] I started watching it Thursday I watched more Friday I watched some more today
[00:54:59] I'll finish it see like the progression yeah I've really enjoyed I like the
[00:55:06] the stories have intersected and where it's gone and yeah I've
[00:55:12] okay it's been very good yeah yeah it's really good I also watched um on HBO or just max now
[00:55:25] um um oh my god what's the name I can't think of a name of it now crisis on on infinite earth part
[00:55:35] one okay okay it's a cartoon it's really meant to kind of sew up everything that they've done from
[00:55:43] the animated stuff up till now because going forward everything's supposed to tie in with the
[00:55:50] James Gunn DCU okay so this is what this animated series is kind of meant to do is tie everything up
[00:55:56] which in the 80s DC comics had a problem they had all these different characters that they had
[00:56:06] bought over the years in their own different universes and they couldn't do crossovers and
[00:56:12] they they they wanted to just combine everything so they created this series this limited run
[00:56:19] which was like the first like major crossover event called crisis on internet earth by marv
[00:56:25] wolfman and george parez and it is considered like uh it's a touchstone of dc stuff like you know
[00:56:38] if you haven't read that like you're not a dc fan okay you know i mean like yeah it's like one
[00:56:43] of those things that you just have to have read at some point right and it what his job was at
[00:56:49] the end was to combine everything into one earth okay you know yeah and it does it magnificently okay
[00:56:58] you know um so this first part was very interesting like i enjoyed it and it has the great matt bowmer
[00:57:10] as the uh the voice of barry allen oh really that's the flash yeah um and he's the main character
[00:57:17] oh okay so it's i enjoyed it from that standpoint but it's really good and i like i would highly
[00:57:28] it doesn't exactly follow the comic book but it follows the comic book enough uh you know it's not
[00:57:33] like a complete total retelling but it is in a way um i enjoyed the shit out of it i can't wait to
[00:57:38] watch part two and part three uh and i would highly recommend it cool yeah yeah anything else
[00:57:46] uh no that's it that's that's what i've watched
[00:57:52] did she see like maybe not you know because you don't pay much attention
[00:57:57] wednesday night i know you don't watch wrestling but tony con who is the CEO of
[00:58:04] aew and his dad shad con owns the jacksonville jaguars okay so wednesday night on aew dynamite
[00:58:14] tony con is attacked and he's given a pow driver in the ring okay okay now that's great like you know
[00:58:24] okay whatever that's a that's a storyline for wrestling the next day he's on tv because he's like
[00:58:32] he's he's part of he's part of like jacksonville's like he's an executive vice president of like
[00:58:38] the statistics or scouting i don't know what okay but he's he's involved with the jaguars
[00:58:43] he's on tv wearing a neck brace okay like a la andy kothman in the 80s yeah like wearing a neck brace
[00:58:52] like it was like bravo tony con bravo you know and then like and they talk about it like
[00:59:00] or and i felt networked like rich eyes and it's like yeah tony con was uh giving a pow driver and
[00:59:05] wrestling on aew and you know here he is with the neck brace and on friday they had him on like
[00:59:12] they're interviewing him about you know the being attacked and like you know i'll be fine don't worry
[00:59:19] about me you know it's all about you know but he of course he's shilling for his product too he's
[00:59:24] like you know watch aew wrestling every wednesday you can see what happened you know oh it was hysterical
[00:59:30] oh the best i saw a thing on facebook facebook oh what did it say um it was a chuck norris thing yeah
[00:59:48] and i love chuck norris quits yeah oh i mean they're just the best yeah but this one said
[00:59:55] chuck norris drinks his water from camp le june
[00:59:57] yeah
[01:00:03] that's great yeah yeah i thought it was fucking fantastic
[01:00:12] i fucking love chuck norris quits i think they're the funniest shit on earth i do i
[01:00:17] this they're so funny that i just it makes me it makes me laugh every time i i see him yeah
[01:00:23] there's something about there's something about those quits it's almost become like pop culture or
[01:00:30] something yeah do you know what i mean oh yeah it's been going on forever oh i know like that
[01:00:37] shit will never die no oh that's classic chuck norris drinks his water from camp le june
[01:00:44] isn't that good that's great oh oh good and it shows him holding his like a bottle of water
[01:00:51] yeah i fucking love chuck norris quits there's just that absolute best yeah
[01:01:02] well going to the whole other side of the spectrum from chuck norris okay i found this and
[01:01:11] i thought like this can't be real but it is apparently you can buy
[01:01:21] jeans okay that look like you pissed yourself i'm not joking like this is
[01:01:31] there you go come on yeah this is an intentional design dub the peace day in gene and they're on
[01:01:47] sale right now i know because i know you want a pair for six hundred dollars jesus christ yeah
[01:01:55] like first off i'll pee my own pants thank you very much all right you know as somebody who has
[01:02:05] in many a drunken stupor you have oh yeah i've pissed right hands yeah really oh yeah never have
[01:02:12] never huh oh i'll i'll freely admit like there have been a few nights where it's just like you know
[01:02:19] ah i'm not gonna make it this just let it flow and what are you quitting drinking
[01:02:27] yo yeah i mean like i mean i'm not proud of it it's not like something like you know i'm
[01:02:33] saying this is great pride but yeah i've uh on a couple occasions i've uh i've urinated myself and
[01:02:40] like wow yeah never knew that yeah you know but wow yeah i mean like one time it was like you know
[01:02:56] man it's a really long line for the bathroom oh fuck it i'll just sit here and piss my parents and
[01:03:00] you guys can go get me beer what the fuck yeah yeah yeah and like metropole no it was never
[01:03:07] no because you never drank enough to like like in the time you were at metropole like you get there
[01:03:16] like around 10 11 o'clock you only have like two maybe three beers like you weren't leaving metropole
[01:03:22] fucked up okay like you like you would pound a few beers beforehand to get a buzz going because
[01:03:28] it was just beers were expensive they were two bucks a bottle yeah which was expensive back then
[01:03:33] yeah you know um but so like between that and like just like like there was never a line to get into
[01:03:43] the men's room either right and plus you one of the other men's he was you had the guy in there who
[01:03:49] was working the because you know not the cuz even like the i don't know i want to call him a custodian
[01:03:55] but like you know and he had his big board you want to go in there and check out who he uh
[01:04:01] got his picture taken with him the pisser yeah because it was like you know hey that's
[01:04:05] Jerome bettas when was Jerome bettas here when did i miss him you know i was like
[01:04:09] because it was shit like that like you know yeah it's so weird about this that back then and
[01:04:13] those boards you know like you almost have you almost expect like the picture to have you know
[01:04:17] them holding their peace yeah like you're the best hog out hog out yeah here's some cologne
[01:04:24] yeah here's a tissue yeah you know yeah hog out yeah polaroid yeah but i mean that yeah yeah it was
[01:04:33] a polaroid you know and he had like a big board like famous people who he who were in his bathroom
[01:04:40] yeah and that is the weirdest shit it is hysterical though you know this is the worst job oh yeah not
[01:04:47] only has to deal with throw up yeah but you have to deal with fucking people shitting
[01:04:56] yeah shitting themselves yeah you know oh yeah i couldn't imagine a worse place no
[01:05:04] no buddy that guy did it with a smile i mean somebody has you would have to have ptsd from
[01:05:09] that hearing that many and hearing that many people explode on the pot you know what i mean
[01:05:17] oh yeah he wakes up in a sweat oh what the fuck
[01:05:25] wants some cologne honey yeah yeah
[01:05:30] i don't even sure i dipped him no i go that's like the jar like i felt bad for like he had a smile on
[01:05:36] his face he was willing to help you out you know he had very few roles which include you know
[01:05:43] make sure you hit the bowl yeah and you know i mean that never happened yeah but i mean like you
[01:05:51] know if you're drinking a lot yeah it never happened yeah but like but like so i wanted to go in there
[01:05:59] right like you know whereas like there were other times i get like the one time at like uh
[01:06:05] the one the karaoke bar i used to go to in west west elizabeth okay like i got so fucked up there
[01:06:13] like i'm just like i can't get up you know i like i was just like that fucked up like like my my body
[01:06:22] was just like you're not getting up you just sit here and reach that while we relieve ourselves
[01:06:30] you know i mean why are you taking a shit or something no i no i never shit myself
[01:06:35] no i'm not saying that this piss i mean like at the bar you couldn't get up yeah i'm sitting at a table
[01:06:40] no i thought you went to like piss these i'm just gonna sit down no no like my like i'm sitting
[01:06:45] i'm sitting at a table like me and my buddies and i'm just like i can't get up so you just
[01:06:51] pissed yourself right there yeah that's insanity wrote him in the back of the truck
[01:07:00] insanity well i never did that y'all i mean when you're doing like you know
[01:07:09] pounding down like it like that was a situation to like where everybody's buying you drinks
[01:07:15] and i said like the next thing you know i've got like you know where's the shot of gym
[01:07:20] there's another shot of gym there's another shot of gym yeah on top of you know the 12 ounces of uh
[01:07:30] rolling rock i'm pounding down yeah you know um yeah thank you
[01:07:37] you know slancher you know pounding down yeah like that ziggies are your hoi hoi hoi you know
[01:07:44] do whatever you did and the next thing i know i'm you know i'm time traveling nice you know
[01:07:54] so it is i mean i'm i don't say it with pride i mean the two maybe three times total i did it but
[01:08:03] you know right it's just that thing where you're just like wow i fucked up right so i you know i
[01:08:12] don't need your help with your designer 600 dollar jeans i've got my own pissy pants yeah right you know
[01:08:22] that's nice yeah and getting old ain't helping either now oh god why haven't i haven't done
[01:08:34] quite some time 20 plus years yeah but i mean like there there have been a few times where it's
[01:08:39] like okay i just need to pull off the road no way yeah like i'm leaving here like when i lived in
[01:08:47] Boston a little Boston driving home there have been a few times where it's like okay i need to find a
[01:08:53] little wooded area to just pull over step into the trees handle my business and get back out
[01:08:59] because i am not making it home really yeah nice yeah that's cool yeah my bladder is weak so
[01:09:18] um the one the one other man this took a turn
[01:09:29] bladder shit stories yeah well that ranks right up very well like i mean i don't know what how
[01:09:37] many Bali functions i dispersed the uh the gold schlager night oh yeah i mean that's the worst like
[01:09:51] waking up in a covered in mud in the middle of a rainstorm in my backyard yes you know not good
[01:09:59] just my underwear oh yeah so one other like getting in the nerve actual nerdy stuff
[01:10:15] yeah um all right so something interesting that happened um Eugene Roddenberry Jr the
[01:10:28] late son of franchise creator Gene Roddenberry Star Trek fame they some fans found on ebay
[01:10:37] a model starship enterprise okay somebody was selling for a thousand dollars now
[01:10:47] apparently some people did some research and it turns out that this was the actual miniature
[01:10:54] that was used in the pilot episode and in the um the main credits the beginning the beginning
[01:11:03] credits okay by the show been missing since you know 1967 okay and once they told the seller
[01:11:12] he actually gave it to the Roddenberry family oh wow said the seller which was nice yeah but
[01:11:18] it's like one of those things it's like it's funny to think about like something like that being missing
[01:11:27] right for 50 plus years right because like you think about like Lucas film and how much they've
[01:11:34] kept oh yeah and how much they've curated it right and even later on with star trek a lot
[01:11:40] of what they've kept and curated right um so to have like something like that that was like missing
[01:11:48] was kind of fascinating to me and I've seen other things like um like there was like one uh it was a
[01:11:59] model of one of the um the flying cars from Blade Runner the spinners
[01:12:07] and it was like prominently like you saw it like in that wide opening shot it kind of flies past you
[01:12:15] yeah it was like it was called the crab spinner because I think like these arms that looked like they
[01:12:19] could move yeah and um it was found it was verified as being an original model um and it was like you
[01:12:28] know it was uh restored and it was sold at auction okay which was interesting so like it made me
[01:12:37] think about like this is kind of cool that this this piece was found and you know this guy had it and
[01:12:43] and everything like I wonder what what is out there that you don't even know is missing okay
[01:12:52] like the first thing I thought of was the gun star like I don't know if there were any models of that
[01:13:01] yeah because like so much of it was done with computer generated graphics at the time right
[01:13:07] yeah but I just I do wonder like was there like a model gun star for like
[01:13:13] certain shots and there had to be like a drawing yeah like but that would be like something would
[01:13:22] be like cool to find like you know that would be cool yeah or the original uh models of the uh
[01:13:37] uh
[01:13:40] can't believe I forgot the names battle start yeah yeah that those would be yeah the sylons and
[01:13:50] yeah the viper the sylon raiders the back the the the the galactica itself yeah yeah that'd be cool
[01:13:58] again because like the second variation was all at that point that was computer generated graphics
[01:14:04] there are no models yeah um but yeah that would be kind of cool to find yeah
[01:14:11] because it wouldn't be like this maybe like this big you know what I mean like maybe even bigger
[01:14:15] like I mean like the original enterprise like the the enterprise you saw on screen
[01:14:21] like isn't the Smithsonian now and what's interesting about that is
[01:14:29] is like only the right side is like finished the left side was just like we're all like the the
[01:14:36] wiring and stuff was exposed for them to been able to be able to manipulate right so it's like
[01:14:43] interesting that like how they shot that like so like every time you see the enterprise
[01:14:48] it's always from the right side like right one side of you see the ship right it's never
[01:14:54] right it's never flipped or if they do it's the the image is flipped
[01:15:01] yeah um so that was kind of that's always kind of interesting to see but like something like
[01:15:07] like that that enterprise though was probably the size of this table right right right so I'm sure
[01:15:13] like like that that original galactica is probably at least half the size of this table oh yeah
[01:15:21] yeah with the lighting and everything it had to be in it like I would have to have been huge
[01:15:27] but even like like I watch a lot of stuff with Adam Savage like on on YouTube uh and
[01:15:37] like he's always talking about like because he worked at ILM he was a model builder yeah
[01:15:44] the people he learned on or he's like okay you can see right here this is the same technique
[01:15:48] so and so taught me so this is probably something that he worked on and even that like
[01:15:55] those ships are pretty big like I can't remember what the one way it was I think it was a Starfleet
[01:16:07] vehicle but he was like looking at it and like it was it had been used a couple of different movies
[01:16:15] and you know he was talking about like you could see right here like how the painting was done
[01:16:19] and how it was patinaed and how this looks and like this is the kind of detail that so and so would
[01:16:24] have given it working at ILM like it was shit I got you're like oh wow like
[01:16:32] it's amazing like the detail it goes into those things right
[01:16:36] that's so minute that you probably never see it on screen but they're giving it that level
[01:16:41] of attention anyway right you know yeah like especially like with Star Wars stuff that's where
[01:16:48] it all started and all honesty right like that was like the attention to detail that they were giving
[01:16:54] those ships that used universe like you know X-wing fighters look like beat up hunks of shit
[01:17:01] right right you know like you love them the millionth Falcon you know like all the little
[01:17:06] details of like how beat up that thing was right you know so it's stuff like that that like
[01:17:13] you know when you see something like Adam Savage who has some history there going back and like
[01:17:18] talking about it's interesting to hear but it's also always interesting like see like wow I can't
[01:17:25] believe that was lost I can't believe like somebody doesn't have that like like stowed away in
[01:17:33] storage right you know as it's you know or or displayed in some museum you know like what
[01:17:38] what is this how did this get away you know right stuff like that is always fun to see in my opinion
[01:17:45] oh I agree yeah you gotta see it yeah and you know you watch those old Lucas films
[01:17:56] like behind the scenes and stuff yeah you want to see those models like in person oh yeah you
[01:18:02] know what I mean I mean I know they've done tours with them right you know but um but you're
[01:18:10] right like I mean it would be amazing to see that like to be able to just kind of like even if it's
[01:18:19] behind glass but let's be able to look as closely as possible to see like the detail yeah put in the
[01:18:26] everything yeah I know I mean it was so detailed yeah I love to see it yeah hey like even when I
[01:18:37] one does the Star Trek stuff like you know the motion picture the Enterprise A like the the
[01:18:46] the attentions the detail that it has yeah like you know because like the original Enterprise it didn't
[01:18:53] have the attention to detail it it which is kind of why I don't like about like the the original
[01:18:59] series Enterprise is it looks too smooth right like it doesn't have the hall plating and stuff like
[01:19:05] that like that you see with the later variations right like even the um the strange new world's discovery
[01:19:13] yeah like that Enterprise on the outside does not look like the Enterprise that you see in the
[01:19:20] the the original series right but I prefer that Enterprise because it looks better in my opinion
[01:19:29] than like the just the smoothness of like the right the saucer and the the the secondary hall and
[01:19:36] stuff it'll just look so smooth it looked like it was just wrapped you know like right like almost
[01:19:43] like an organic material not not not steel yeah no I know I get out of me yeah I just imagine
[01:19:55] like I don't know man I just imagine like the Luke there has to be like something like the Lucas
[01:20:04] archive with all this shit well there is like like Indiana Jones yeah you know what I mean like
[01:20:13] not in crates or anything but I mean like I mean there has to be like this gigantic
[01:20:20] well I think there's a ton of stuff at the ranch all the figures all the movie stuff all I mean set
[01:20:27] designs you know that'd be incredible to watch to go in and look at yeah you know what I mean
[01:20:34] yeah I think there's a lot of stuff at at Skywalker Ranch I think there's a lot of stuff
[01:20:43] like at the um Lucasfilm headquarters in San Francisco yeah and I mean I like George kept like
[01:20:57] a lot of it like especially like from the original trilogy like like the original
[01:21:02] trilogy is the one where you're like man there's gotta be stuff missing from that and I believe
[01:21:05] there is right but at the same time a lot of it like got kept yeah like there are things I think the
[01:21:15] original land speed I mean you know once they were done with that I think they just tore it down
[01:21:19] and yeah there were things that they tore like because you didn't keep it at the time yeah but
[01:21:24] like I think like especially with Empire like everything got kept yeah you know we're not
[01:21:29] throwing anything away you know and I guess kind of the cool thing that Lucas has done and it's created
[01:21:38] like a his own its own industry because it is like like even stuff like like being able to go and see
[01:21:50] like Keaton's Batman costume from the from 1989 right and you can see the progression of the suits
[01:22:00] all the way up to the current Batman you know right like but you nobody has had a West Batman
[01:22:07] costume because that got thrown away right right you know I mean like did you think about keeping
[01:22:14] that that just went in the trash when they were done filming right no yeah yeah I get it so like
[01:22:21] but it is stuff like that that like you know the Superman suits over the years like you know
[01:22:25] starting with Christopher Reeve and then progressing along right you know the Superman
[01:22:33] right over the years yeah like you know stuff like that so like there are things that now get kept
[01:22:41] especially if it's like a what you know is going to be a franchise right yeah you know I mean like
[01:22:51] I got other things were like you know like you don't know if he's gonna hit or not so they
[01:22:59] probably you know that chick gets tore down and thrown away or repurposed even you're not
[01:23:05] a Smithsonian right well not even the Smithsonian like I want to see Fonzie's jacket too yeah but like
[01:23:13] but there are things that like like Warner Brothers has all the the super suits yeah like
[01:23:19] the Batman suit the Superman suits the Wonder Woman suits yeah like all that stuff has been kept
[01:23:23] over the years whereas previously it hasn't um but like and they display it like I think they have like a
[01:23:34] a tour at the studio you can take when you can see like all that stuff and you see the Batmobiles
[01:23:39] over the years and shit like that right um but like if you like if you like launch a movie
[01:23:49] right and like okay yeah we're gonna make this movie it's a sci-fi movie and we don't know if it's
[01:23:55] gonna be a hit or not we're hoping it is but in the meantime like everything we use on this film
[01:24:00] we're gonna take it we're gonna repurpose it and use it for something else like it doesn't get saved
[01:24:06] but that movie becomes a hit it spawns a franchise and with the second movie now you're like
[01:24:10] well now we gotta save some shit yeah you know because the first because one we have to build it
[01:24:15] all over again yeah because we repurposed it for another movie right right and two you know
[01:24:22] it just for posterity sake right but also like a lot of that stuff like like models and stuff have
[01:24:30] gone the way the dodo in a lot of ways yeah right right you know all right anything like
