[00:00:03] It's time to feel the rage. Welcome to Film Rage where we talk movies. Happy Halloween Rage with our special final John Carpenter Halloween finale. With our God of Rage, Casey from the Nerdy Photographer. My name is Bryce and I'm part of the Film Rage crew which also includes Jim. Hey there Jim. Hey hey Bryce. And the Merman. What's going on Murray? Did you forget what my name was? I...

[00:00:33] Quite often forget lots of people's names. Don't take it personally. He's forgetting your name. So, uh... Welcome back Casey. I mean at this point you're our honorary fourth member. The fourth rage. God of Rage. The seal has been broken. That's right. Man he gets spooky for sure. Unlike you two dolts. Hey I can be spooky. Yeah looking the two of you.

[00:01:02] I don't know. We gotta whip up a witch's brew in here or something guys. Yeah. Well happy Halloween. Happy Halloween. My favorite holiday of the year. Yeah. Hello. Um why don't you tell our listeners everything about the Nerdy Photographer that you can fit in the allotted time that we have. Haha. Well folks the Nerdy Photographer is a informative and entertaining photography and business podcast. Where I also go on adventures with the crew of the

[00:01:31] starship Zibonacci. Uh we have a good time. Great guests. And you can find us online at

[00:01:37] nerdyphotographer.com. On all the socials at the

[00:01:41] nerdyphoto. No spaces dots or dashes. Just one word. The nerdyphoto. Uh you can find us on any of your podcast platforms at the

[00:01:51] Nerdy Photographer Podcast. Perfect. Now this is kind of a capper because we made this month

[00:01:59] the John Carpenter month. Right? Sure did. Frankly enough we didn't do Halloween. Jim made it John Carpenter. Yeah we didn't make it Halloween. We didn't. Which you know what? I'm okay with. Everybody talks about Halloween. Me too. Some of the movies we talked about this month not everybody talks about. Except for maybe the thing. They're not a study of Halloween movies. Like literally the thing is probably the most talked about horror movie ever made.

[00:02:22] I would hope so. Probably. It's my favorite. Number one. Number two. With the X. Nice. Um alright well let's get to the juice. The juice? The juice? The juice is loose. The juice is loose. We are talking about

[00:02:41] Prince of Darkness.

[00:02:47] That's right. I'd rather talk about Prince.

[00:02:52] Well we might talk about Prince later.

[00:02:55] In the music side.

[00:02:56] Alright Prince of Darkness.

[00:02:58] First of all

[00:02:59] the title promises the Prince of Darkness but instead we get a tube full of green goo.

[00:03:04] Talk about a bait and switch.

[00:03:06] I always love seeing Victor Wong in anything so that was good.

[00:03:11] But come on.

[00:03:12] This movie was about a tube full of goo that sprays stuff into people's mouths

[00:03:16] transferring them into zombies who sometimes attack and sometimes just sort of stand there looking lost.

[00:03:23] I must reiterate that the film's title promises much more than it delivers.

[00:03:28] And for a film full of scholars

[00:03:30] why are they all so dumb?

[00:03:32] Isolating themselves so that they can become easy prey?

[00:03:35] And even the music was a little much as it tended to overpower most of the scenes.

[00:03:41] It got tedious that music.

[00:03:43] It started out it's like okay this is okay.

[00:03:45] By the end of the movie I was annoyed.

[00:03:48] So if you like watching people getting chased around a building

[00:03:51] and spitting into each other's mouths

[00:03:54] this is the film for you.

[00:03:56] I however was not entertained at all.

[00:04:00] This was a rage.

[00:04:01] I hate this movie.

[00:04:03] Ugh!

[00:04:04] It is so awful.

[00:04:06] Right out the gate.

[00:04:08] I mean there's a place where

[00:04:09] I don't know.

[00:04:11] People spinning it.

[00:04:12] Yeah.

[00:04:13] I think you gotta go to some sort of

[00:04:16] fetish site or something for stuff like that.

[00:04:19] But I don't want it in a John Carpenter movie.

[00:04:23] John Carpenter.

[00:04:24] Yeah.

[00:04:25] Here we go.

[00:04:26] Let's hear John Carpenter.

[00:04:27] Yeah.

[00:04:27] John Carpenter.

[00:04:28] John Carpenter.

[00:04:29] They took our jobs.

[00:04:31] John Carpenter.

[00:04:34] Okay well let me tell you my thoughts on Prince of Darkness

[00:04:38] because unlike Bryce

[00:04:39] I actually watched this wide awake

[00:04:42] which I'm sure he did not.

[00:04:44] I watched it twice

[00:04:46] because I did fall asleep the first time.

[00:04:48] Guilty.

[00:04:50] So okay from opening scene

[00:04:53] and the unusual

[00:04:58] and yet fantastic

[00:05:01] John Carpenter music score

[00:05:03] you know you're in for a treat.

[00:05:06] Not a trick.

[00:05:08] It's a treat.

[00:05:09] I was tricked.

[00:05:10] Paint and switch baby.

[00:05:11] Because we got stuff with Catholics

[00:05:13] and evil

[00:05:14] and Catholics

[00:05:15] go hand in hand.

[00:05:17] That's right.

[00:05:17] And I mean

[00:05:18] pure

[00:05:20] evil.

[00:05:21] Casey gets it.

[00:05:22] We get some

[00:05:24] of the usual cast

[00:05:25] we see in Carpenter films

[00:05:27] like Donald Pleasance

[00:05:28] Victor Wong

[00:05:29] and Dennis Dunn

[00:05:30] but also

[00:05:31] some big

[00:05:33] surprises

[00:05:33] because we got

[00:05:34] which Bryce didn't even mention

[00:05:36] super duper

[00:05:37] Alice Cooper.

[00:05:39] We did.

[00:05:41] Looking very pale.

[00:05:42] Yes.

[00:05:43] Why was he the only one

[00:05:44] that was so pale?

[00:05:45] The rest of them

[00:05:45] look kind of normal.

[00:05:46] He's a rock star.

[00:05:47] Hey.

[00:05:48] Just cut.

[00:05:49] And this was made in the 80s

[00:05:51] so he was probably

[00:05:52] strung out on drugs.

[00:05:53] He was probably on crack

[00:05:54] at the time.

[00:05:55] I don't think that was his vice

[00:05:56] but

[00:05:57] he had a few vices.

[00:05:58] So I love

[00:06:00] how Carpenter

[00:06:01] is not afraid

[00:06:02] to put lots of characters

[00:06:04] in these films

[00:06:06] both

[00:06:07] to help you root

[00:06:08] for them

[00:06:09] but also

[00:06:10] so that we can get

[00:06:11] more kills

[00:06:12] later on in the movie.

[00:06:13] So many characters.

[00:06:15] Carpenter in this

[00:06:16] brings us

[00:06:17] the great

[00:06:19] challenge debate

[00:06:20] of science

[00:06:21] over religion

[00:06:22] or is it actually

[00:06:23] all the same?

[00:06:24] Mu ha ha ha ha ha

[00:06:28] The other thing

[00:06:29] that Carpenter does

[00:06:30] in this

[00:06:30] is that he builds

[00:06:32] the suspense slowly

[00:06:33] by not giving

[00:06:34] anything away

[00:06:35] but puts scientists

[00:06:36] and Catholics

[00:06:37] together

[00:06:38] along with some

[00:06:39] creepy music

[00:06:41] and it's

[00:06:42] chopped in

[00:06:43] tiny small scenes

[00:06:44] to help

[00:06:44] satiate your lust

[00:06:46] for what's about

[00:06:47] to come.

[00:06:48] I also love

[00:06:49] that even back

[00:06:50] in 1987

[00:06:51] Carpenter

[00:06:52] has a very

[00:06:53] diverse cast

[00:06:55] filling out

[00:06:56] both the homeless

[00:06:57] and the educated

[00:06:58] which

[00:06:59] I imagine

[00:07:01] if you go back

[00:07:01] to 1987

[00:07:02] you will not see

[00:07:03] this diverse of a cast

[00:07:04] in any

[00:07:06] film

[00:07:07] period.

[00:07:08] That's true.

[00:07:09] Plus you get people

[00:07:10] of other

[00:07:12] ethnicities

[00:07:13] that actually

[00:07:13] live at the end

[00:07:14] so that also

[00:07:16] doesn't happen

[00:07:16] in anything else

[00:07:17] in 1987.

[00:07:19] Am I right

[00:07:20] or am I right?

[00:07:20] You are correct sir.

[00:07:21] You are correct.

[00:07:22] Yeah.

[00:07:22] We even managed

[00:07:24] to get some

[00:07:24] you know

[00:07:25] ethnicity

[00:07:26] on an ethnicity

[00:07:27] joke.

[00:07:28] Yes.

[00:07:29] Exactly.

[00:07:31] Such a good joke.

[00:07:33] Exactly.

[00:07:33] We get

[00:07:35] creepy worms

[00:07:35] and bugs

[00:07:36] and zombie

[00:07:37] like homeless

[00:07:37] along with

[00:07:39] the raggedy

[00:07:40] old lava lamp

[00:07:42] in the basement

[00:07:42] and a moon

[00:07:44] during the day

[00:07:45] that seems to

[00:07:45] hold everyone's

[00:07:47] attention.

[00:07:47] all the while

[00:07:48] more and more

[00:07:49] sensations of

[00:07:50] evil

[00:07:51] permeate the

[00:07:52] essence of this

[00:07:53] film and the

[00:07:53] characters.

[00:07:54] Also

[00:07:55] when

[00:07:56] a physicist

[00:07:57] says

[00:07:58] an evil

[00:07:59] lava lamp

[00:08:00] is alive

[00:08:00] and active

[00:08:01] don't try to

[00:08:02] think of it

[00:08:03] it's

[00:08:04] a draft

[00:08:05] of air

[00:08:06] or an anomaly

[00:08:07] no

[00:08:07] it's Satan

[00:08:12] that's what he

[00:08:13] thought it was

[00:08:13] he was doing

[00:08:14] his science thing

[00:08:14] yeah

[00:08:15] he's like

[00:08:16] hey this is a

[00:08:17] real thing

[00:08:17] yeah this

[00:08:18] is evil

[00:08:20] it's Satan

[00:08:21] it's a

[00:08:21] it's a

[00:08:22] satanic

[00:08:22] lava lamp

[00:08:23] this film

[00:08:24] to me

[00:08:24] has all

[00:08:25] the same

[00:08:26] makings of

[00:08:26] a Hitchcock

[00:08:27] film

[00:08:27] we have an

[00:08:28] evil

[00:08:28] that we

[00:08:29] know has

[00:08:29] something

[00:08:30] that it's

[00:08:30] planning

[00:08:31] but we

[00:08:31] don't know

[00:08:32] what

[00:08:32] all the

[00:08:33] while

[00:08:33] our suspense

[00:08:34] is slowly

[00:08:34] building

[00:08:35] as more

[00:08:36] and more

[00:08:36] of the

[00:08:36] story is

[00:08:37] revealed

[00:08:37] the deaths

[00:08:38] are both

[00:08:38] fun

[00:08:39] and scary

[00:08:39] and funny

[00:08:40] at times

[00:08:41] and carries

[00:08:42] out

[00:08:44] awesome

[00:08:45] and I

[00:08:45] mean

[00:08:45] awesome

[00:08:46] Carpenter

[00:08:47] music score

[00:08:48] I freaking

[00:08:49] love this

[00:08:49] score

[00:08:50] I know

[00:08:50] that it's

[00:08:51] annoying

[00:08:51] but that's

[00:08:52] part of the

[00:08:52] reason why

[00:08:53] I loved it

[00:08:53] plus we learned

[00:08:55] the euphemism

[00:08:56] for sex

[00:08:56] in 1987

[00:08:58] is on

[00:08:59] their way

[00:09:00] to the

[00:09:01] Chinese

[00:09:01] restaurant

[00:09:03] which they

[00:09:04] actually

[00:09:04] reference

[00:09:05] when he

[00:09:05] everybody

[00:09:07] knows that

[00:09:07] scene

[00:09:08] well

[00:09:08] we also

[00:09:10] learned

[00:09:10] never to

[00:09:11] trust the

[00:09:11] possessed

[00:09:11] homeless

[00:09:12] people

[00:09:12] and Satan

[00:09:13] is real

[00:09:14] there

[00:09:15] I said

[00:09:15] it

[00:09:16] I freaking

[00:09:16] love this

[00:09:17] movie

[00:09:17] the pacing

[00:09:18] the clash

[00:09:19] of science

[00:09:19] and religion

[00:09:20] and of course

[00:09:21] the ending

[00:09:21] and its

[00:09:22] ambiguity

[00:09:22] the second

[00:09:24] in his

[00:09:25] apocalyptic

[00:09:26] trilogy

[00:09:26] is also

[00:09:28] Mondo

[00:09:29] just like

[00:09:31] the thing

[00:09:31] we discussed

[00:09:32] a couple

[00:09:33] weeks ago

[00:09:34] I guess

[00:09:35] we need

[00:09:36] one more

[00:09:37] review

[00:09:37] because we

[00:09:38] obviously

[00:09:38] have to

[00:09:39] now also

[00:09:39] have to do

[00:09:40] the mouth

[00:09:40] of madness

[00:09:41] madness

[00:09:42] yeah

[00:09:42] well

[00:09:44] funny that

[00:09:45] you should

[00:09:45] bring up

[00:09:46] the mouth

[00:09:46] of madness

[00:09:47] are we to

[00:09:48] me now

[00:09:48] it's your

[00:09:49] turn

[00:09:50] it is you

[00:09:51] my review

[00:09:53] of this movie

[00:09:54] is called

[00:09:54] pray for death

[00:09:56] or

[00:09:58] has anyone

[00:09:59] seen

[00:09:59] Susan

[00:10:01] radiologist

[00:10:02] glasses

[00:10:03] glasses

[00:10:05] the prince

[00:10:05] of darkness

[00:10:06] john carpenter

[00:10:07] once again

[00:10:08] delves into

[00:10:08] lovecraftian

[00:10:09] horror as

[00:10:10] only well

[00:10:11] maybe not

[00:10:12] only but

[00:10:12] he and

[00:10:13] guillermo

[00:10:13] del toro

[00:10:14] can

[00:10:14] while the

[00:10:15] thing and

[00:10:16] in the

[00:10:16] mountain

[00:10:16] madness

[00:10:17] may be

[00:10:17] more obvious

[00:10:18] lovecraftian

[00:10:19] stories

[00:10:19] prince of

[00:10:20] darkness

[00:10:20] with the

[00:10:21] inevitable

[00:10:21] conquest

[00:10:22] of the

[00:10:23] demon

[00:10:23] slash

[00:10:24] devil

[00:10:24] from

[00:10:24] another

[00:10:25] dimension

[00:10:25] or maybe

[00:10:26] it's

[00:10:26] from space

[00:10:27] hey

[00:10:27] jesus

[00:10:28] was an

[00:10:28] alien

[00:10:28] who

[00:10:29] knew

[00:10:29] is an

[00:10:30] obvious

[00:10:30] homage

[00:10:31] to the

[00:10:32] master

[00:10:32] of

[00:10:32] ultra

[00:10:32] horror

[00:10:33] as a

[00:10:33] young

[00:10:33] man

[00:10:34] i was

[00:10:34] drawn to

[00:10:34] this film

[00:10:35] by the

[00:10:35] presence

[00:10:35] of

[00:10:35] alice

[00:10:36] cooper

[00:10:36] in the

[00:10:36] cast

[00:10:37] he was

[00:10:37] prominently

[00:10:38] featured

[00:10:38] in the

[00:10:39] promotion

[00:10:39] of the

[00:10:39] film

[00:10:39] even

[00:10:40] appearing

[00:10:40] on

[00:10:40] posters

[00:10:41] in the

[00:10:41] vhs and

[00:10:42] dvd

[00:10:42] jackets

[00:10:43] of the

[00:10:43] movie

[00:10:43] however

[00:10:44] alice

[00:10:44] does not

[00:10:45] feature

[00:10:45] quite so

[00:10:45] prominently

[00:10:46] in the

[00:10:46] film

[00:10:47] itself

[00:10:47] which

[00:10:47] is fine

[00:10:48] the

[00:10:49] cast

[00:10:49] is headed

[00:10:49] by the

[00:10:49] always

[00:10:50] great

[00:10:50] donald

[00:10:50] pludden

[00:10:51] and

[00:10:51] the

[00:10:52] equally

[00:10:52] amazing

[00:10:53] victor

[00:10:53] wong

[00:10:53] they're

[00:10:54] joined

[00:10:54] by a

[00:10:54] group of

[00:10:55] graduate

[00:10:55] physics

[00:10:55] students

[00:10:56] including

[00:10:56] another

[00:10:57] big trouble

[00:10:57] alum

[00:10:58] dennis

[00:10:58] stone

[00:10:58] tv

[00:10:59] actor

[00:10:59] jameson

[00:11:00] parker

[00:11:00] and

[00:11:00] actress

[00:11:01] catherine

[00:11:01] danforth

[00:11:02] who looks

[00:11:02] like she

[00:11:03] could be

[00:11:03] snl alum

[00:11:04] chloe

[00:11:04] tro's

[00:11:05] mother

[00:11:05] i don't know

[00:11:06] how familiar

[00:11:06] you guys are

[00:11:07] with the

[00:11:07] recent snl

[00:11:08] but i was

[00:11:08] like holy

[00:11:09] shit

[00:11:09] she looks

[00:11:10] exactly like

[00:11:11] her

[00:11:11] i look it

[00:11:12] up they're

[00:11:12] not in

[00:11:12] any way

[00:11:13] related

[00:11:13] but what

[00:11:14] of alice

[00:11:14] cooper

[00:11:14] he plays

[00:11:15] the de facto

[00:11:16] leader

[00:11:16] of the

[00:11:17] army of

[00:11:17] unhoused

[00:11:18] and apparently

[00:11:19] still

[00:11:21] controlled by

[00:11:22] the green

[00:11:22] goo in the

[00:11:22] basement of

[00:11:23] a los

[00:11:23] angeles church

[00:11:24] but hey

[00:11:25] have any

[00:11:26] of you guys

[00:11:26] seen

[00:11:26] susan

[00:11:28] i couldn't

[00:11:29] find susan

[00:11:29] for most

[00:11:30] of the

[00:11:30] radiologist

[00:11:33] where was

[00:11:34] i oh

[00:11:35] yeah the

[00:11:35] green goo

[00:11:36] which somehow

[00:11:36] got transported

[00:11:37] from the

[00:11:37] holy land

[00:11:38] to spain

[00:11:39] to los

[00:11:39] angeles

[00:11:40] by and

[00:11:41] i have to

[00:11:41] say this

[00:11:41] is the

[00:11:42] most badass

[00:11:42] name for

[00:11:43] a religious

[00:11:43] sect i've

[00:11:44] ever heard

[00:11:44] the

[00:11:45] brotherhood

[00:11:45] of sleep

[00:11:46] yes

[00:11:47] when the

[00:11:48] last member

[00:11:49] of the

[00:11:49] brotherhood

[00:11:49] dies dr

[00:11:50] loomis

[00:11:51] teams up

[00:11:51] with egg

[00:11:51] shen

[00:11:52] to study

[00:11:53] the goo

[00:11:53] with the

[00:11:54] help of

[00:11:54] non-gerald

[00:11:55] mccraney

[00:11:55] simon

[00:11:55] brother

[00:11:56] that's right

[00:11:56] the other

[00:11:57] simon

[00:11:58] brother

[00:11:58] yeah

[00:11:59] what really

[00:12:00] scares me

[00:12:01] about this

[00:12:02] film what

[00:12:02] really has

[00:12:03] always scared

[00:12:04] me about

[00:12:04] this film

[00:12:04] is the

[00:12:05] inevitability

[00:12:06] of evil

[00:12:07] winning

[00:12:07] much like

[00:12:09] carpenter's

[00:12:10] more famous

[00:12:10] creation

[00:12:11] jason from

[00:12:12] halloween

[00:12:13] not jason

[00:12:13] what

[00:12:14] michael

[00:12:15] michael

[00:12:15] michael

[00:12:16] meyer

[00:12:16] they're all

[00:12:18] the same

[00:12:18] kind of

[00:12:18] the other

[00:12:19] the other

[00:12:19] one

[00:12:19] the evil

[00:12:21] in the film

[00:12:21] keeps slowly

[00:12:23] and steadily

[00:12:24] moving forward

[00:12:25] taking over

[00:12:26] more and

[00:12:27] more people

[00:12:28] it doesn't

[00:12:29] stop

[00:12:29] and as the

[00:12:30] film progresses

[00:12:31] the protagonists

[00:12:32] who do survive

[00:12:33] are haunted

[00:12:33] by dreams

[00:12:34] that are actually

[00:12:35] a transmission

[00:12:36] from the future

[00:12:36] showing the evil

[00:12:38] coming forth

[00:12:38] from the church

[00:12:39] to take over

[00:12:40] the world

[00:12:40] which reminds me

[00:12:41] has anyone

[00:12:42] talked to

[00:12:43] susan about

[00:12:43] this

[00:12:46] we also

[00:12:47] get the

[00:12:47] truly terrifying

[00:12:48] scene of

[00:12:49] one of the

[00:12:49] scientists

[00:12:50] being

[00:12:50] reanimated

[00:12:51] by bugs

[00:12:52] to warn

[00:12:53] the survivors

[00:12:54] that they

[00:12:55] cannot win

[00:12:56] i blame

[00:12:57] this scene

[00:12:57] plus the

[00:12:58] e.g.

[00:12:58] marshall

[00:12:59] roaches

[00:13:00] scene in

[00:13:00] creep show

[00:13:00] for my

[00:13:01] long lasting

[00:13:02] fear of

[00:13:02] swarms

[00:13:03] of insects

[00:13:03] yes

[00:13:06] especially

[00:13:07] when they're

[00:13:08] controlled by

[00:13:08] a sentient

[00:13:09] pool of

[00:13:09] green liquid

[00:13:10] that's now

[00:13:11] hovering on

[00:13:12] the ceiling

[00:13:12] of the

[00:13:13] church

[00:13:13] you can't

[00:13:14] stop it

[00:13:15] you cannot

[00:13:15] pray it

[00:13:16] away

[00:13:16] your god

[00:13:17] plutonium

[00:13:17] will not

[00:13:18] save you

[00:13:18] in fact

[00:13:19] you will

[00:13:20] not be

[00:13:20] saved

[00:13:22] you will

[00:13:23] not be

[00:13:24] saved

[00:13:24] pray for

[00:13:25] death

[00:13:25] a truly

[00:13:26] lovecraftian

[00:13:27] message

[00:13:27] as in

[00:13:29] lovecraft

[00:13:29] stories

[00:13:30] even the

[00:13:30] devout

[00:13:31] who summon

[00:13:32] the

[00:13:32] extra

[00:13:32] dimensional

[00:13:33] alien

[00:13:34] elder

[00:13:34] gods

[00:13:35] who come

[00:13:36] to destroy

[00:13:36] the earth

[00:13:36] are rewarded

[00:13:37] with dying

[00:13:38] first

[00:13:39] and therefore

[00:13:40] not being

[00:13:40] subjected

[00:13:41] to the

[00:13:41] terrors that

[00:13:42] will commence

[00:13:43] afterwards

[00:13:43] even though

[00:13:45] in the end

[00:13:45] the good guys

[00:13:47] win

[00:13:47] quote unquote

[00:13:48] and it's

[00:13:49] possible i came

[00:13:50] over from another

[00:13:51] dimension

[00:13:51] because i distinctly

[00:13:53] remember a version

[00:13:54] of this film where

[00:13:55] victor wong's

[00:13:55] character ended up

[00:13:56] being on the

[00:13:57] receiving end

[00:13:58] of the fire

[00:13:58] axe

[00:13:59] but i

[00:14:00] apparently

[00:14:01] misremembered

[00:14:01] that

[00:14:01] but do they

[00:14:02] really win

[00:14:04] despite the

[00:14:05] sacrifice made

[00:14:06] to stop

[00:14:06] the prince

[00:14:07] of darkness

[00:14:07] the other

[00:14:09] simon brother

[00:14:09] seems to be

[00:14:10] willing to

[00:14:10] risk it all

[00:14:11] for a woman

[00:14:12] he slept

[00:14:12] with one

[00:14:13] time

[00:14:14] by putting

[00:14:15] his hand

[00:14:16] against the

[00:14:16] mirror

[00:14:17] and asking

[00:14:17] the question

[00:14:18] where's

[00:14:19] susan

[00:14:19] the radiologist

[00:14:20] have any

[00:14:30] of you

[00:14:30] seen

[00:14:30] susan

[00:14:32] no

[00:14:33] no

[00:14:34] no one's

[00:14:34] seen

[00:14:34] susan

[00:14:36] although

[00:14:37] i do

[00:14:38] have to

[00:14:38] say she

[00:14:38] must have

[00:14:39] been

[00:14:39] quite

[00:14:40] quite

[00:14:41] the lay

[00:14:41] because he

[00:14:42] was super

[00:14:43] infatuated

[00:14:44] with her

[00:14:44] dude

[00:14:45] like

[00:14:46] he just

[00:14:47] keeps saying

[00:14:47] everyone keeps

[00:14:49] saying where's

[00:14:49] susan

[00:14:50] have you seen

[00:14:50] susan

[00:14:52] radiologist

[00:14:52] glasses

[00:14:53] she's very

[00:14:54] married though

[00:14:57] yes

[00:14:59] that was

[00:14:59] the one

[00:14:59] that murray

[00:15:00] was in

[00:15:00] love with

[00:15:01] it was

[00:15:01] i liked

[00:15:02] her

[00:15:02] he was

[00:15:02] totally

[00:15:03] hot for

[00:15:03] susan

[00:15:04] don't give

[00:15:04] me my

[00:15:04] review

[00:15:08] i'm done

[00:15:08] i'm done

[00:15:09] what did

[00:15:10] you give it

[00:15:11] is this a

[00:15:11] mondo

[00:15:12] oh it's a

[00:15:12] mondo

[00:15:13] for me

[00:15:13] of course

[00:15:13] it's a

[00:15:14] mondo

[00:15:14] this film

[00:15:15] is so

[00:15:15] brilliant

[00:15:16] man come on

[00:15:17] that opening

[00:15:17] alone

[00:15:18] where you have

[00:15:19] like a six

[00:15:20] minute credit

[00:15:21] sequence at the

[00:15:22] beginning where

[00:15:22] you're getting

[00:15:22] all of this

[00:15:23] backstory

[00:15:23] without a word

[00:15:24] being spoken

[00:15:25] exactly

[00:15:27] all right

[00:15:28] you're up

[00:15:28] merman

[00:15:29] okay

[00:15:31] now this is

[00:15:32] merman does

[00:15:33] not know a

[00:15:33] lot of

[00:15:34] carpenter so

[00:15:34] i know some

[00:15:35] yeah you know

[00:15:36] a few

[00:15:37] thanks to you

[00:15:38] i know a lot

[00:15:39] more

[00:15:39] that's right

[00:15:40] thanks to me

[00:15:41] it's no secret

[00:15:42] i don't enjoy

[00:15:43] the films of

[00:15:44] john carpenter

[00:15:44] as much as

[00:15:45] you guys do

[00:15:46] uh we've watched

[00:15:48] a lot of them

[00:15:49] recently

[00:15:49] and my opinion

[00:15:50] of his work

[00:15:51] hasn't changed

[00:15:53] the thing was

[00:15:54] pretty good

[00:15:55] escape new york

[00:15:56] was okay

[00:15:57] i didn't really

[00:15:58] enjoy big trouble

[00:15:59] in little china

[00:15:59] that much

[00:16:00] if i had to

[00:16:02] pick a carpenter

[00:16:02] film to watch

[00:16:03] for halloween

[00:16:04] it would be

[00:16:05] vampires

[00:16:06] oh his worst

[00:16:08] film

[00:16:08] i loved it

[00:16:09] loved it

[00:16:11] it had the

[00:16:12] fat bald one

[00:16:13] in it

[00:16:14] yeah

[00:16:14] and it had

[00:16:15] james woods

[00:16:16] that's right

[00:16:16] jimmy woods

[00:16:17] and the bad

[00:16:19] guy from one

[00:16:20] of the uh

[00:16:20] the credit

[00:16:21] kids

[00:16:22] uh of course

[00:16:23] my all-time

[00:16:24] favorite carpenter

[00:16:25] film is

[00:16:26] they live

[00:16:27] with my

[00:16:28] main man

[00:16:29] and fellows

[00:16:29] saskatchuanian

[00:16:30] roddy piper

[00:16:31] yep

[00:16:33] when i started

[00:16:34] watching this film

[00:16:35] i was really hoping

[00:16:36] to eventually

[00:16:37] meet the prince

[00:16:38] of darkness

[00:16:38] aka satan

[00:16:40] at some point

[00:16:42] i guess

[00:16:43] i had a picture

[00:16:44] of tim curry

[00:16:45] as the devil

[00:16:46] in my head

[00:16:47] but jim informs

[00:16:48] me that's a

[00:16:48] different film

[00:16:51] like most

[00:16:52] horror films

[00:16:53] i watch

[00:16:54] i didn't find

[00:16:54] this one

[00:16:55] scary at all

[00:16:56] maybe if i saw

[00:16:57] it in 1987

[00:16:58] when it came

[00:16:59] out when i

[00:16:59] was like 16

[00:17:00] even then

[00:17:01] i doubt it

[00:17:03] there was

[00:17:04] definitely a lot

[00:17:04] of creepy

[00:17:05] things about

[00:17:05] this film

[00:17:06] mostly the

[00:17:06] four and

[00:17:07] eight-legged

[00:17:08] kind that

[00:17:08] crawled

[00:17:10] um i also

[00:17:11] liked the

[00:17:12] cute blonde

[00:17:13] radiologist

[00:17:13] with the

[00:17:13] glasses

[00:17:14] what was her

[00:17:15] name again

[00:17:17] susan

[00:17:17] that was

[00:17:18] susan

[00:17:18] have you

[00:17:19] seen her

[00:17:21] especially

[00:17:21] after she

[00:17:22] turned evil

[00:17:23] she was even

[00:17:24] better

[00:17:25] she took

[00:17:26] her glasses

[00:17:26] off

[00:17:27] she went

[00:17:27] from librarian

[00:17:29] radiologist

[00:17:29] classic 80s

[00:17:30] you take

[00:17:31] your glasses

[00:17:31] off

[00:17:32] and you're

[00:17:32] super hot

[00:17:33] the very

[00:17:33] she's all

[00:17:34] bad moment

[00:17:35] yes

[00:17:36] uh

[00:17:36] alice cooper

[00:17:38] was a nice

[00:17:39] touch

[00:17:39] and i found

[00:17:40] out that he's

[00:17:41] in the movie

[00:17:41] because his

[00:17:43] manager is one

[00:17:43] of the producers

[00:17:44] and he just

[00:17:45] asked to go on

[00:17:46] the set to

[00:17:47] watch the

[00:17:47] special effects

[00:17:48] uh shots

[00:17:49] can i add a

[00:17:50] something that

[00:17:52] i learned

[00:17:52] i will also

[00:17:53] uh there's also

[00:17:54] another thing

[00:17:54] oh okay

[00:17:55] let's hear it

[00:17:55] he parlayed

[00:17:56] that into a

[00:17:57] sweet bit part

[00:17:57] where he gets

[00:17:58] to kill

[00:17:58] somebody

[00:17:58] and fyi

[00:18:01] at the point

[00:18:02] of this film

[00:18:02] he was a

[00:18:03] born again

[00:18:05] christian so i

[00:18:05] don't think he

[00:18:06] was into the

[00:18:06] drugs just

[00:18:07] saying um

[00:18:09] i don't know i

[00:18:10] get to see god

[00:18:10] every time i

[00:18:11] take drugs

[00:18:12] well that's

[00:18:12] true

[00:18:13] other than

[00:18:14] that it was

[00:18:14] just another

[00:18:14] case of stupid

[00:18:15] people doing

[00:18:16] stupid things

[00:18:17] and getting

[00:18:17] killed because

[00:18:18] of it

[00:18:19] the young

[00:18:20] chinese dude

[00:18:20] with the bad

[00:18:21] jokes was funny

[00:18:22] was he

[00:18:23] he's always

[00:18:23] funny

[00:18:24] even if he

[00:18:24] was a dick

[00:18:25] uh i guess

[00:18:27] it was a

[00:18:27] decent meh

[00:18:28] all right

[00:18:29] usual the best

[00:18:30] part was watching

[00:18:31] it with my

[00:18:31] buddy jim

[00:18:32] that's true

[00:18:33] so another

[00:18:34] fun fact

[00:18:35] is the bike

[00:18:36] that he killed

[00:18:37] the dude with

[00:18:38] was his bike

[00:18:40] alice cooper

[00:18:41] brought his bike

[00:18:42] to the set

[00:18:43] so he could

[00:18:44] stab people

[00:18:44] with it

[00:18:47] all right

[00:18:48] how do you

[00:18:49] know that

[00:18:49] that's like

[00:18:50] no that's

[00:18:51] one of the

[00:18:51] trivia facts

[00:18:52] when you do

[00:18:53] some looking

[00:18:53] into it

[00:18:56] yeah

[00:18:56] he took the

[00:18:58] front end

[00:18:58] off his

[00:18:59] bike

[00:18:59] yeah

[00:18:59] he said he

[00:19:00] uses it on

[00:19:01] stage in his

[00:19:01] act

[00:19:01] yeah i think

[00:19:02] he did bring

[00:19:03] it on i

[00:19:03] don't know what

[00:19:04] he's doing

[00:19:04] with it on

[00:19:04] stage with

[00:19:05] him though

[00:19:05] he's probably

[00:19:06] doing the same

[00:19:07] thing to himself

[00:19:07] on stage

[00:19:08] he's a fan

[00:19:09] like listen

[00:19:11] alice cooper

[00:19:12] in the 80s

[00:19:13] the show's

[00:19:16] fantastic

[00:19:17] he's a magician

[00:19:18] he does

[00:19:19] like horror

[00:19:20] stuff

[00:19:20] and that is

[00:19:21] part of the

[00:19:22] reason i think

[00:19:22] i went and

[00:19:22] saw this film

[00:19:23] when it came

[00:19:24] out

[00:19:24] because like

[00:19:25] i said

[00:19:25] he featured

[00:19:26] prominently

[00:19:26] in the

[00:19:26] advertising

[00:19:27] but you know

[00:19:28] not so much

[00:19:29] in the movie

[00:19:29] itself

[00:19:31] didn't have

[00:19:31] any lines

[00:19:33] and he's

[00:19:34] like stared

[00:19:35] menacingly

[00:19:35] and then

[00:19:36] i think that

[00:19:37] you know

[00:19:37] he looked

[00:19:38] pale because

[00:19:38] i think that

[00:19:39] was just

[00:19:39] looked at

[00:19:40] what they

[00:19:40] went for

[00:19:40] with that

[00:19:41] yeah

[00:19:42] character

[00:19:43] he was

[00:19:43] very pale

[00:19:44] yeah

[00:19:47] what okay

[00:19:48] so obviously

[00:19:48] bryce doesn't

[00:19:49] have much

[00:19:49] to say

[00:19:49] about this

[00:19:50] but

[00:19:50] oh i could

[00:19:51] talk for a

[00:19:52] while but

[00:19:52] it's not

[00:19:53] nothing they

[00:19:54] want to hear

[00:19:54] so this is

[00:19:56] this is a

[00:19:56] movie that i

[00:19:57] saw in cinemas

[00:19:58] when it came

[00:19:59] out as did

[00:20:00] i and the

[00:20:01] moment that i

[00:20:02] saw it i

[00:20:02] instantly thought

[00:20:03] this is my

[00:20:04] new favorite

[00:20:04] horror movie

[00:20:05] i have i

[00:20:06] have owned

[00:20:06] this it's

[00:20:07] one of those

[00:20:07] i watch it

[00:20:09] every single

[00:20:10] year because

[00:20:11] i came from

[00:20:12] a place of

[00:20:12] faith so

[00:20:14] for me it

[00:20:15] just carries

[00:20:16] so much

[00:20:16] weight and

[00:20:17] the fact that

[00:20:17] i am so

[00:20:18] anti-catholic

[00:20:19] i've avoided

[00:20:20] it until a

[00:20:21] few days ago

[00:20:22] where i was

[00:20:22] forced to

[00:20:23] watch it

[00:20:23] again i

[00:20:24] think there's

[00:20:25] something really

[00:20:25] interesting there

[00:20:27] also grew up

[00:20:28] catholic

[00:20:30] there's something

[00:20:30] there to be said

[00:20:31] about faith and

[00:20:31] by the

[00:20:32] character where

[00:20:33] he's going

[00:20:34] like why

[00:20:34] didn't they

[00:20:35] prepare us

[00:20:35] why didn't

[00:20:36] they tell us

[00:20:37] because they

[00:20:37] covered everything

[00:20:38] up

[00:20:39] yeah like why

[00:20:40] was it well

[00:20:41] the thing is

[00:20:42] what we find

[00:20:43] out at the

[00:20:44] beginning is the

[00:20:45] vatican didn't

[00:20:46] even know about

[00:20:46] this it was

[00:20:47] only the

[00:20:47] brotherhood of

[00:20:48] sleep yep who

[00:20:49] knew anything

[00:20:50] about it and

[00:20:51] so yeah there

[00:20:51] wouldn't but

[00:20:52] there's an

[00:20:53] interesting moment

[00:20:54] at the end of

[00:20:55] this movie where

[00:20:57] donald pleasant

[00:20:57] has kind of

[00:20:59] like he reaches

[00:21:00] a point where

[00:21:00] he has lost

[00:21:01] faith and he's

[00:21:03] like oh we're

[00:21:04] all gonna die and

[00:21:05] like they didn't

[00:21:06] tell us and we

[00:21:06] don't know if we

[00:21:07] can't fight this

[00:21:07] thing and he

[00:21:08] goes and hides

[00:21:09] in the corner

[00:21:09] but then he

[00:21:10] starts praying

[00:21:12] not does not

[00:21:13] have any effect

[00:21:14] on anything

[00:21:14] his prayers have

[00:21:15] no effect

[00:21:16] whatsoever but

[00:21:18] then the fire

[00:21:19] axe does and

[00:21:21] he manages to

[00:21:22] like stop

[00:21:23] the thing by

[00:21:24] like chopping

[00:21:25] off the arm

[00:21:26] and like the axe

[00:21:27] goes into the

[00:21:28] you know the

[00:21:29] mirror and

[00:21:30] whatever but

[00:21:31] he as he is

[00:21:33] being wheeled out

[00:21:34] on the gurney

[00:21:36] he is a man of

[00:21:37] faith again

[00:21:39] he thinks

[00:21:41] god help

[00:21:42] yeah

[00:21:44] that's faith

[00:21:45] for you

[00:21:46] yeah

[00:21:47] and

[00:21:49] I mean

[00:21:50] Victor Wong

[00:21:51] who I absolutely

[00:21:52] love in everything

[00:21:53] and you can't

[00:21:54] tell me that

[00:21:56] his characters

[00:21:57] in the golden

[00:21:58] child and big

[00:22:00] trouble and in

[00:22:01] this movie are

[00:22:01] not all the same

[00:22:02] person because

[00:22:02] same guy

[00:22:06] and he just

[00:22:08] like he looks

[00:22:09] at Donald

[00:22:10] like are you

[00:22:11] fucking kidding

[00:22:12] me like

[00:22:13] which is the

[00:22:14] same reaction I

[00:22:15] have to not

[00:22:16] Gerald McCraney

[00:22:17] Simon brother

[00:22:18] the way he acts

[00:22:20] about like

[00:22:21] oh this chick

[00:22:23] that I slept

[00:22:23] with one time

[00:22:25] and who I was

[00:22:26] totally perving

[00:22:27] on you know

[00:22:29] when we're like

[00:22:29] graduate students

[00:22:30] stalking her

[00:22:31] yeah I mean

[00:22:32] he's totally

[00:22:33] stalking her

[00:22:34] and then

[00:22:34] all of a sudden

[00:22:36] they go out

[00:22:36] twice

[00:22:37] they sleep

[00:22:37] together once

[00:22:38] and he's just

[00:22:38] like I was

[00:22:39] gonna tell you

[00:22:40] I love you

[00:22:41] and like

[00:22:42] I'm

[00:22:43] and after

[00:22:44] all of the

[00:22:45] shit that he

[00:22:45] sees

[00:22:46] he's like

[00:22:47] I'm gonna go

[00:22:47] touch the mirror

[00:22:48] like no

[00:22:49] don't touch

[00:22:50] the fucking

[00:22:50] mirror

[00:22:50] yeah

[00:22:51] like you should

[00:22:51] reach out

[00:22:52] you just saw it

[00:22:53] in your dream

[00:22:54] she's coming

[00:22:54] back

[00:22:55] she ain't

[00:22:55] coming back

[00:22:56] to your

[00:22:56] apartment

[00:22:56] she's coming

[00:22:56] back to the

[00:22:57] church

[00:22:58] wait for her

[00:22:59] at the church

[00:22:59] dude

[00:23:00] what are you

[00:23:00] doing

[00:23:00] yeah

[00:23:01] go over

[00:23:02] to the

[00:23:02] church

[00:23:03] but yeah

[00:23:04] one of the

[00:23:04] things that I

[00:23:05] wanted to say

[00:23:05] is like there

[00:23:06] are times when I

[00:23:07] think that all

[00:23:07] Carpenter movies

[00:23:08] are like kind of

[00:23:09] intertwined in

[00:23:10] one way

[00:23:11] like I always

[00:23:11] think that the

[00:23:12] thing and

[00:23:13] Starman are

[00:23:14] related that

[00:23:14] Starman is

[00:23:15] actually like

[00:23:17] millions of

[00:23:17] years later

[00:23:18] same alien

[00:23:20] race

[00:23:21] come to

[00:23:24] because he

[00:23:24] takes like a

[00:23:25] tiny piece of

[00:23:26] DNA and

[00:23:26] completely becomes

[00:23:27] the version of

[00:23:29] this guy

[00:23:31] what I think

[00:23:32] this is related

[00:23:32] to in other

[00:23:33] Carpenter movies

[00:23:33] is they

[00:23:35] live

[00:23:36] when

[00:23:37] I can't

[00:23:38] remember the

[00:23:38] character's name

[00:23:39] who has

[00:23:40] the prince

[00:23:41] mark on

[00:23:42] her arm

[00:23:43] oh yeah

[00:23:45] well bringing

[00:23:46] it back to

[00:23:46] French

[00:23:47] she has the

[00:23:48] same

[00:23:49] like a little

[00:23:50] marking on

[00:23:51] her elbow

[00:23:52] she has been

[00:23:52] chosen she's the

[00:23:53] one to

[00:23:54] like hold

[00:23:54] the goo

[00:23:57] when she

[00:23:58] starts to

[00:23:59] transform she

[00:23:59] looks like one

[00:24:00] of the aliens

[00:24:02] from they

[00:24:03] live and

[00:24:04] we're told

[00:24:04] earlier on

[00:24:05] that Jesus

[00:24:06] was an alien

[00:24:07] and who's

[00:24:09] to say

[00:24:09] that this

[00:24:10] the demon

[00:24:13] devils

[00:24:14] whatever are

[00:24:14] not also

[00:24:15] aliens of

[00:24:16] some sort

[00:24:16] so what if

[00:24:19] they live

[00:24:20] is the

[00:24:20] sequel to

[00:24:21] prince of

[00:24:21] darkness

[00:24:22] where these

[00:24:23] things because

[00:24:23] you know

[00:24:23] what if

[00:24:25] this happened

[00:24:26] one of the

[00:24:26] things I

[00:24:27] will say

[00:24:27] is if

[00:24:28] this

[00:24:28] happened

[00:24:28] if it

[00:24:29] had gone

[00:24:29] through and

[00:24:30] these people

[00:24:30] in the

[00:24:31] church if

[00:24:32] the prince of

[00:24:33] darkness comes

[00:24:33] out how would

[00:24:34] anybody notice

[00:24:35] how would

[00:24:36] anybody know

[00:24:37] that they took

[00:24:38] over the world

[00:24:39] you wouldn't

[00:24:40] and I will

[00:24:42] also note

[00:24:42] this is something

[00:24:43] that stuck with

[00:24:43] me watching

[00:24:44] a movie that

[00:24:44] I hadn't

[00:24:45] picked up

[00:24:45] before

[00:24:46] the transmission

[00:24:48] at one point

[00:24:49] in the beginning

[00:24:50] the guy says

[00:24:51] 20

[00:24:51] we're coming to

[00:24:53] you from the

[00:24:53] year 20

[00:24:55] and then

[00:24:55] there's no

[00:24:56] you can't

[00:24:56] hear the

[00:24:56] end and

[00:24:57] then it

[00:24:57] changes

[00:24:58] to 19

[00:24:59] and then

[00:24:59] finally it's

[00:25:01] 1999

[00:25:01] yeah

[00:25:02] the last

[00:25:03] you could

[00:25:03] hear clearly

[00:25:05] so it

[00:25:06] keeps going

[00:25:06] like we

[00:25:07] have changed

[00:25:08] the future

[00:25:09] yes

[00:25:10] yes

[00:25:10] and

[00:25:11] 1999

[00:25:13] was when

[00:25:14] prince released

[00:25:14] that album

[00:25:15] exactly

[00:25:16] so it's still

[00:25:17] coming back

[00:25:17] to prince

[00:25:18] totally

[00:25:18] it's all

[00:25:19] related

[00:25:19] it is

[00:25:20] all related

[00:25:21] I've got

[00:25:21] the strings

[00:25:22] up on my

[00:25:23] wall right

[00:25:23] now

[00:25:26] he's the

[00:25:27] puppet master

[00:25:27] okay

[00:25:28] thank you

[00:25:29] Murray

[00:25:29] okay so

[00:25:30] for Halloween

[00:25:31] how does

[00:25:31] Halloween tie

[00:25:32] in

[00:25:32] because we

[00:25:33] know that

[00:25:34] Michael Myers

[00:25:34] is obviously

[00:25:35] supernatural

[00:25:36] so he's

[00:25:37] Michael Myers

[00:25:38] is also an

[00:25:39] alien

[00:25:41] right

[00:25:42] no I

[00:25:43] think

[00:25:43] what is

[00:25:44] what is

[00:25:45] the

[00:25:45] I mean

[00:25:45] I think

[00:25:46] that

[00:25:47] in the

[00:25:49] carpenter

[00:25:50] verse

[00:25:50] I think

[00:25:50] that Michael

[00:25:51] Myers

[00:25:51] stands alone

[00:25:52] he supposedly

[00:25:53] in the

[00:25:57] novelization

[00:25:58] of it

[00:25:59] he is

[00:25:59] possessed

[00:26:01] by

[00:26:01] the spirit

[00:26:03] of Samhain

[00:26:03] which is

[00:26:04] like

[00:26:06] there's

[00:26:07] the whole

[00:26:08] thing about

[00:26:08] how

[00:26:08] through

[00:26:09] the history

[00:26:10] of Halloween

[00:26:10] sacrifices

[00:26:12] are made

[00:26:12] on Samhain

[00:26:13] to

[00:26:14] these

[00:26:15] elder

[00:26:16] gods

[00:26:16] of sorts

[00:26:17] and I

[00:26:18] think

[00:26:18] that he

[00:26:18] is supposed

[00:26:19] to be

[00:26:21] young

[00:26:21] Michael Myers

[00:26:22] was

[00:26:23] possessed

[00:26:23] by

[00:26:24] the spirit

[00:26:26] of

[00:26:26] Satan

[00:26:27] this

[00:26:27] vengeful

[00:26:28] god

[00:26:29] and

[00:26:30] and

[00:26:31] it's

[00:26:32] been

[00:26:32] stuck

[00:26:32] in

[00:26:33] him

[00:26:33] and

[00:26:33] when

[00:26:34] Halloween

[00:26:34] comes

[00:26:34] around

[00:26:34] he's

[00:26:35] stronger

[00:26:35] again

[00:26:36] and

[00:26:36] the

[00:26:37] connection

[00:26:37] is

[00:26:38] stronger

[00:26:38] and he

[00:26:39] goes out

[00:26:40] and starts

[00:26:40] making sacrifices

[00:26:41] I think

[00:26:42] he's got

[00:26:42] green goo

[00:26:43] in his

[00:26:43] basement

[00:26:43] that's

[00:26:44] what I

[00:26:44] think

[00:26:44] you think

[00:26:45] he's got

[00:26:46] green goo

[00:26:46] I think

[00:26:46] he's been

[00:26:47] like

[00:26:47] swallled

[00:26:47] some

[00:26:47] green goo

[00:26:48] yeah

[00:26:49] I think

[00:26:49] so

[00:26:50] someone spit

[00:26:50] some green goo

[00:26:51] in his face

[00:26:51] maybe

[00:26:53] good stuff

[00:26:54] you know

[00:26:54] what

[00:26:56] it's too

[00:26:57] bad

[00:26:57] Bryce

[00:26:58] didn't like

[00:26:58] this one

[00:26:59] but you

[00:26:59] know

[00:26:59] I'm glad

[00:26:59] we made

[00:27:00] him watch

[00:27:00] it

[00:27:01] either

[00:27:01] all right

[00:27:04] are we

[00:27:06] moving on

[00:27:07] yeah

[00:27:08] temperature

[00:27:09] rising

[00:27:11] vision

[00:27:12] blurring

[00:27:14] rage

[00:27:15] taking

[00:27:15] over

[00:27:20] damn

[00:27:20] stealing

[00:27:21] Jim's

[00:27:21] music

[00:27:21] nice

[00:27:22] I don't

[00:27:23] have my

[00:27:23] own

[00:27:23] perfect

[00:27:24] I don't

[00:27:25] get a

[00:27:25] rage

[00:27:26] music

[00:27:27] no

[00:27:27] you get

[00:27:27] enough

[00:27:28] episodes

[00:27:30] credits

[00:27:30] I don't

[00:27:31] know what

[00:27:31] you want

[00:27:31] me to

[00:27:31] say

[00:27:32] here

[00:27:32] what's

[00:27:33] your

[00:27:33] Christmas

[00:27:34] what's

[00:27:35] your

[00:27:35] Halloween

[00:27:35] rage

[00:27:35] speaking

[00:27:36] of

[00:27:36] yeah

[00:27:37] I guess

[00:27:38] if I had

[00:27:38] a rage

[00:27:38] is that

[00:27:39] movies don't

[00:27:40] come out

[00:27:40] when they're

[00:27:40] supposed to

[00:27:41] yeah

[00:27:42] like

[00:27:42] Halloween

[00:27:43] movies or

[00:27:44] scary movies

[00:27:45] come out

[00:27:45] in like

[00:27:46] July

[00:27:47] and Christmas

[00:27:48] movies come

[00:27:48] out in

[00:27:48] October

[00:27:51] case in

[00:27:51] point

[00:27:53] the

[00:27:54] next

[00:27:55] vampire

[00:27:56] movie

[00:27:56] which

[00:27:57] I haven't

[00:27:58] seen a

[00:27:58] good

[00:27:58] one

[00:27:58] in

[00:27:58] a

[00:27:58] while

[00:27:59] when's

[00:28:00] that

[00:28:00] coming

[00:28:00] out

[00:28:00] Nasseratu

[00:28:02] Christmas

[00:28:04] that's

[00:28:05] my

[00:28:05] rage

[00:28:06] nice

[00:28:06] I

[00:28:07] want to

[00:28:07] see it

[00:28:08] now

[00:28:08] not at

[00:28:09] Christmas

[00:28:09] I think

[00:28:09] they might

[00:28:10] feel it's an

[00:28:10] Academy Award

[00:28:11] contender

[00:28:12] I don't

[00:28:12] want to

[00:28:13] see it

[00:28:13] for

[00:28:13] Halloween

[00:28:13] because

[00:28:14] that's

[00:28:15] when you

[00:28:15] release

[00:28:15] stuff

[00:28:16] to me

[00:28:16] vampires

[00:28:17] Halloween

[00:28:17] they go

[00:28:18] together

[00:28:18] nice

[00:28:18] anyway

[00:28:19] all right

[00:28:20] that's

[00:28:20] all I

[00:28:20] got

[00:28:20] perfect

[00:28:36] yeah

[00:28:37] they're

[00:28:37] bopping

[00:28:37] your head

[00:28:38] though

[00:28:38] they're not

[00:28:40] saying

[00:28:40] nothing

[00:28:40] all right

[00:28:42] so my

[00:28:43] Halloween

[00:28:43] rage is

[00:28:44] something that

[00:28:45] I've probably

[00:28:45] raged about

[00:28:46] before but

[00:28:47] horror movies

[00:28:48] should not be

[00:28:49] over two

[00:28:49] hours long

[00:28:50] they shouldn't

[00:28:51] be over

[00:28:51] an hour

[00:28:52] and 40

[00:28:53] minutes long

[00:28:53] they shouldn't

[00:28:54] be over

[00:28:54] an hour

[00:28:55] and 35

[00:28:55] minutes

[00:28:56] long

[00:28:56] horror movies

[00:28:57] should be

[00:28:57] about

[00:28:59] 87

[00:28:59] 88

[00:29:00] minutes

[00:29:00] tops

[00:29:01] unless it's

[00:29:02] some sort

[00:29:03] of high

[00:29:03] concept

[00:29:03] or it's

[00:29:04] based on a

[00:29:04] novel

[00:29:05] if it's

[00:29:05] like

[00:29:05] Silence

[00:29:06] of the

[00:29:06] Lambs

[00:29:07] classic

[00:29:07] or you

[00:29:08] know

[00:29:08] Twilight

[00:29:09] then it's

[00:29:10] okay

[00:29:13] but

[00:29:13] horror movies

[00:29:14] in general

[00:29:15] especially

[00:29:15] if it's

[00:29:16] just

[00:29:16] an original

[00:29:17] concept

[00:29:18] that they've

[00:29:18] come up

[00:29:18] with

[00:29:19] made a

[00:29:19] horror movie

[00:29:19] once you

[00:29:20] get into

[00:29:21] that

[00:29:21] over 90

[00:29:22] minutes

[00:29:22] it is

[00:29:24] diminishing

[00:29:24] returns

[00:29:25] from then

[00:29:25] on in

[00:29:26] so

[00:29:27] everybody

[00:29:27] out there

[00:29:28] that's

[00:29:28] making a

[00:29:29] horror movie

[00:29:29] stop making

[00:29:30] two hour

[00:29:31] and some

[00:29:31] odd

[00:29:31] minutes

[00:29:31] I just

[00:29:32] watched

[00:29:32] Smile 2

[00:29:33] that was

[00:29:33] like

[00:29:33] two

[00:29:33] hours

[00:29:34] and seven

[00:29:34] minutes

[00:29:34] it was

[00:29:35] 40

[00:29:36] minutes

[00:29:36] too long

[00:29:37] there you

[00:29:38] spoiler

[00:29:39] alert

[00:29:39] that's

[00:29:40] my

[00:29:40] rage

[00:29:40] it's

[00:29:41] all

[00:29:41] for

[00:29:41] streaming

[00:29:42] brother

[00:29:42] all

[00:29:43] for

[00:29:43] streaming

[00:29:43] yep

[00:29:44] all right

[00:29:45] all right

[00:29:46] mr.

[00:29:46] Casey

[00:29:47] well I

[00:29:48] have to

[00:29:49] say that

[00:29:49] my

[00:29:49] halloween

[00:29:50] rage

[00:29:50] is that

[00:29:53] the humor

[00:29:55] is lost

[00:29:56] in horror

[00:29:56] films

[00:29:56] anymore

[00:29:57] like we

[00:29:58] people don't

[00:29:59] know how

[00:30:00] to do

[00:30:00] humor

[00:30:01] in a

[00:30:03] horror film

[00:30:03] there is

[00:30:04] such thing

[00:30:04] as horror

[00:30:05] comedy

[00:30:06] which I

[00:30:07] would say

[00:30:07] evil dead

[00:30:08] 2 army

[00:30:09] of darkness

[00:30:09] is a great

[00:30:10] example of

[00:30:10] horror comedy

[00:30:12] but there's

[00:30:13] also a

[00:30:13] certain element

[00:30:14] of humor

[00:30:15] that needs

[00:30:16] to be present

[00:30:16] in horror

[00:30:18] films

[00:30:18] otherwise

[00:30:19] we don't

[00:30:20] have the

[00:30:21] tension

[00:30:22] release

[00:30:22] this can

[00:30:23] take all

[00:30:24] sorts of

[00:30:25] forms but

[00:30:25] now it

[00:30:26] seems like

[00:30:27] horror films

[00:30:28] either have

[00:30:29] absolutely

[00:30:30] ridiculous humor

[00:30:32] which is just

[00:30:33] like seems

[00:30:33] to take you

[00:30:34] out of the

[00:30:35] horror of the

[00:30:36] film

[00:30:36] people don't

[00:30:38] know how to

[00:30:38] write in

[00:30:39] comedy

[00:30:40] or attention

[00:30:41] release to a

[00:30:42] film that

[00:30:43] fits with

[00:30:44] the mood

[00:30:45] of the film

[00:30:46] itself

[00:30:46] they don't

[00:30:47] know what

[00:30:48] movie they're

[00:30:48] in

[00:30:49] and they

[00:30:49] just start

[00:30:50] writing jokes

[00:30:51] thinking that

[00:30:52] that is

[00:30:52] like a

[00:30:54] comic relief

[00:30:55] comic relief

[00:30:56] is there for

[00:30:56] that exact

[00:30:57] reason

[00:30:57] you build

[00:30:58] tension

[00:30:58] you have a

[00:30:59] relief

[00:31:00] of some

[00:31:00] kind

[00:31:00] either it

[00:31:01] is an

[00:31:02] actual

[00:31:02] like in

[00:31:03] a horror

[00:31:04] film

[00:31:04] the horror

[00:31:05] or it

[00:31:06] is comic

[00:31:07] relief

[00:31:07] which makes

[00:31:08] it allows

[00:31:08] you to

[00:31:08] release

[00:31:09] a little

[00:31:09] bit of

[00:31:10] tension

[00:31:10] and if

[00:31:11] it's a

[00:31:11] well done

[00:31:12] film

[00:31:12] there is

[00:31:13] immediately

[00:31:13] something

[00:31:19] what's

[00:31:19] actually

[00:31:19] happening

[00:31:19] but I

[00:31:20] have

[00:31:20] noticed

[00:31:20] in most

[00:31:21] of the

[00:31:21] horror

[00:31:22] films

[00:31:22] that I've

[00:31:22] seen

[00:31:22] in the

[00:31:23] last

[00:31:23] I don't

[00:31:24] know

[00:31:24] five to

[00:31:25] ten years

[00:31:25] that people

[00:31:26] have forgotten

[00:31:26] how to

[00:31:27] write comedy

[00:31:28] into horror

[00:31:28] oh totally

[00:31:29] yeah

[00:31:30] you nailed

[00:31:32] it

[00:31:33] nailed it

[00:31:34] love it

[00:31:36] all right

[00:31:36] my my rage

[00:31:38] is obviously

[00:31:40] one that I've

[00:31:40] talked about

[00:31:41] too but

[00:31:41] you know

[00:31:42] as we come

[00:31:43] up to

[00:31:43] um

[00:31:44] Halloween

[00:31:45] and this

[00:31:46] will be

[00:31:46] released on

[00:31:47] Halloween

[00:31:47] so happy

[00:31:47] Halloween

[00:31:48] again

[00:31:48] everyone

[00:31:48] but my

[00:31:49] rage

[00:31:50] is that

[00:31:51] we don't

[00:31:52] need PG

[00:31:53] rated horror

[00:31:54] movies

[00:31:54] at all

[00:31:55] like don't

[00:31:56] try and sell

[00:31:57] it to

[00:31:57] adults

[00:31:57] that it's

[00:31:58] a horror

[00:31:58] movie

[00:31:59] just sell

[00:32:00] it to

[00:32:00] 13 year

[00:32:01] olds

[00:32:01] and and

[00:32:03] get over

[00:32:03] it because

[00:32:03] we don't

[00:32:04] we want to

[00:32:05] see the

[00:32:06] horror

[00:32:06] and you

[00:32:07] know

[00:32:07] but in

[00:32:08] contrast to

[00:32:09] that one

[00:32:10] good one

[00:32:10] that we

[00:32:11] personally

[00:32:12] was um

[00:32:15] the woman

[00:32:16] of the hour

[00:32:16] which you

[00:32:17] know could

[00:32:18] have been a

[00:32:18] PG although

[00:32:19] it was there

[00:32:20] was horror

[00:32:20] scenes in

[00:32:21] it but

[00:32:22] it it was

[00:32:23] done well

[00:32:24] so for the

[00:32:25] most part

[00:32:26] they're terrible

[00:32:28] yeah I also

[00:32:29] find uh

[00:32:31] because once

[00:32:32] you get into

[00:32:32] PG though

[00:32:35] even our

[00:32:36] I don't know

[00:32:36] if you guys

[00:32:36] see it up

[00:32:37] in Canada

[00:32:38] in cinema

[00:32:39] people bringing

[00:32:40] small children

[00:32:41] yeah

[00:32:42] yeah

[00:32:42] to the

[00:32:43] theater

[00:32:43] especially if

[00:32:44] it's a PG

[00:32:45] rating they

[00:32:45] think they

[00:32:45] can get

[00:32:46] away with

[00:32:46] it more

[00:32:46] like it's

[00:32:48] like bringing

[00:32:48] like very

[00:32:50] inappropriately

[00:32:50] aged kids

[00:32:51] yep

[00:32:53] that's probably

[00:32:54] the worst

[00:32:55] actually

[00:32:56] well I think

[00:32:58] that's so I

[00:32:58] watched way too

[00:32:59] many horror films

[00:33:00] when I was too

[00:33:01] young but I

[00:33:02] turned out

[00:33:03] fine

[00:33:04] real horror

[00:33:05] film

[00:33:05] nice

[00:33:06] well that's a
