[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_09]: That's amazing!
[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_09]: I'm a particular movie, but it's gone.
[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_09]: Bum, no!
[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_09]: Well, you tell us all what you remember, so at the movies,
[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_09]: here it comes kids, but I watch out now.
[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_09]: That's how here it comes swimming to you.
[00:01:50] [SPEAKER_09]: Who's swim, very swimmery.
[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_00]: Swim, very swim.
[00:01:54] [SPEAKER_09]: Swim, very swim.
[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_00]: Swim, very swim.
[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_09]: Swim, very swim.
[00:02:03] [SPEAKER_04]: I mentioned recently how much I ate that meal.
[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_04]: It's the best music ever!
[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't even know what you're talking about.
[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_04]: So, Bernie, you guys went to other movies.
[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_04]: We did!
[00:02:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Good for you!
[00:02:13] [SPEAKER_04]: Enough time!
[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_04]: Okay, according to this, he got never let go,
[00:02:19] [SPEAKER_04]: which is Halle Berry,
[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Riller slash horror, whatever the hell it is.
[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes!
[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
[00:02:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Looked dumb, the trailers.
[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_04]: It's a double rage.
[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_04]: Ah, Transformers 1.
[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_04]: With the Thor.
[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes!
[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_04]: With the Thor Thor, which is also with one of the key impedeux.
[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah?
[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't think Thor's part of the Transformers universe.
[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_08]: So, there's now a third of the movies.
[00:02:46] [SPEAKER_04]: I'd be happy to see you.
[00:02:47] [SPEAKER_08]: I'd be happy to see you.
[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_04]: And we also had the Black Widow in it.
[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_08]: And I only fell asleep a little.
[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_08]: Can we all sit?
[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_08]: So, I don't understand.
[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_08]: I must have fallen asleep during the Thor party.
[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_04]: It was okay for a cartoon, but hey, he was in Deadpool.
[00:03:02] [SPEAKER_04]: So you never know what he's gonna pop up.
[00:03:03] [SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
[00:03:04] [SPEAKER_08]: The Transformers were in Deadpool?
[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, Thor was.
[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, he's everywhere, man.
[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_04]: He is.
[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, it's a cartoon.
[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_04]: It's, but Transformers is it.
[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_04]: It was supposed to be funny.
[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know if it was.
[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_04]: It's a double man.
[00:03:19] [SPEAKER_04]: I can't see you guys.
[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_04]: I can't see you guys.
[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Loving it that much.
[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_04]: We got the Substant which.
[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, I was at Chinook doing work for the festival.
[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_04]: I walked past one of the screens that was showing that movie.
[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_04]: And there's a scene at the end.
[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_04]: It's just blood everywhere.
[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, what the hell was that?
[00:03:38] [SPEAKER_04]: Bunkers?
[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_04]: So, I don't know.
[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_04]: I think this premise is gonna dominate this guy to me more in it.
[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_04]: So let's go double rage on that one too.
[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_08]: Wow.
[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_08]: We're going up on the wrong way.
[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_03]: He thinks we've got a lot of rage this week.
[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, we always have rage.
[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not sure we do.
[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_08]: I have none.
[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not gonna lie.
[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I do have rage.
[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_08]: Sometimes film brings the rage out of me, but.
[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Toots.
[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Let's call film rage.
[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, and it's really got a deep seated in your core.
[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_08]: But when it comes out.
[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Whoa.
[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_08]: So much rage.
[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_03]: All right.
[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_03]: So never let go.
[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you want me to use this one?
[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't even know where we're ever reviewing it until you just set it.
[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_03]: It's been a bit of a watch this week.
[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_03]: This will be our one of two.
[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_03]: One of two episodes really released this week.
[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_04]: I think they actually look at the agenda before the show.
[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_04]: He just wants to wing it.
[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_03]: So okay, let me, let me take this over because apparently.
[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_03]: Bryce is still sleeping.
[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_03]: So if you've seen the trailer, this looks as predictable and similar to all
[00:04:55] [SPEAKER_03]: these recent post-apocalyptic parent and children movies coming out these days, which apparently
[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_03]: there's one every other week.
[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't understand it.
[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_03]: We get Hallie Berry this time in her.
[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_03]: I guess where she delivers some great twists in this.
[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_03]: I guess it's a little different.
[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_03]: And kind of turns the story a little bit akin to sort of like Shyamalan.
[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Ask plot pivots, I guess I'll say.
[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_03]: And this has two, not just one, but two amazing little CLF actors.
[00:05:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Two boys and in particular, the one that is more stout standing is the one who plays Nolan.
[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_03]: The story takes the family of three into the woods where they have attached themselves to
[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_03]: ropes as they leave the house to protect them from the and I'm putting in heavy quotes here that evil,
[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_03]: which if you are not connected to the protected house of the wood, the evil can touch you.
[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Take over.
[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, that's bad news, man.
[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_03]: And then makes you kill your entire family.
[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_08]: The evil makes you kill Murray.
[00:06:18] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Evil dies tonight.
[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_03]: No, that's different movies.
[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so Hallie Berry is actually pretty good in this and as with her overprotective mom,
[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_03]: which I don't think we've seen her in that role before that I can think of.
[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And she's got these rules to live by to keep them safe, but things change as they continue
[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_03]: to starve after a long hard winter that depleted their food supplies and she decides to kill
[00:06:57] [SPEAKER_03]: their dog to eat Murray.
[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_03]: She says, you know what?
[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_03]: We're starving.
[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, this dog.
[00:07:04] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not about this movie.
[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I think he might.
[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe he, maybe he'd erode it for Donald Trump.
[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Or maybe that's where he got the ideas.
[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, you know, salt the dog nice and spice it up.
[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And then you can eat it.
[00:07:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Like that's what she reminds them of.
[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, we consult this.
[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_03]: It'll last a lot longer and stretch it out.
[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_08]: You're again on with it.
[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_08]: This causes horse bog.
[00:07:29] [SPEAKER_03]: This causes Nolan to question what the fuck his mom is doing and rightfully so.
[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_03]: So if I used to say shit goes wrong and a bunch of stuff happens,
[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_03]: that is awesome and scary and ever twisting and making you guess who's saying and who's evil.
[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Instead of her.
[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_03]: It's got a slow start to this.
[00:07:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to call it a fantastic ending.
[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_03]: It was a really high map for me.
[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I like that.
[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I got a couple things to unpack, but what do you think, Bryce?
[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_08]: Uh, never let go.
[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Halle Berry.
[00:08:04] [SPEAKER_08]: And the what performances were very, very good as you mentioned.
[00:08:10] [SPEAKER_08]: Percy Diggs the fourth is Nolan.
[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_08]: What a tremendous little actor.
[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know who this kid is never seen him before, but wow, he kind of carried the film.
[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Put him in everywhere.
[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_08]: The atmosphere of this film is like really, really good.
[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_08]: The pacing was really, really good.
[00:08:31] [SPEAKER_08]: Everything in it was pretty much really, really good.
[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_08]: Could there have been more story yet?
[00:08:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Probably.
[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Did it need it?
[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I guess it didn't need it.
[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I feel it needed.
[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_03]: It kind of gave you everything.
[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, music was good.
[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_08]: Rob is back.
[00:08:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_08]: Which you pointed out to me after I'm like, who's Rob and then you're like, Rob?
[00:08:56] [SPEAKER_08]: What are you talking about?
[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_08]: Rob who?
[00:08:57] [SPEAKER_08]: And then you're like, Rob.
[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_08]: And then I'm like, you're like, Hansel, oh, Hansel and Greta Rob.
[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Greta, Helen Hansel.
[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_08]: Greta, Helen Hansel Rob sorry.
[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_08]: So yeah, the music was great.
[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Just a nice, just a really good looking,
[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_08]: Frickin movie.
[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_08]: Dark film.
[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_08]: And the twists come.
[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_08]: And even if I tell you their twists, you're still not going to go.
[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_08]: I think they'll still surprise you.
[00:09:24] [SPEAKER_08]: So there's, and there's a few of them.
[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_08]: And you know what, it was really, really good.
[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_08]: But it wasn't really, really great.
[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_08]: It was, man.
[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_03]: And you know, as far as, you know, we talked about the
[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Acadian not that long ago, Nick Cage's version of this.
[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Kind of.
[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, they're both kind of a little different in the sense.
[00:09:44] [SPEAKER_03]: But Sam will similar plot.
[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_03]: The two kids with their parent in the woods.
[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's got very similar plot ideas and interestingly enough,
[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_03]: that they're both those movies had great kid actors.
[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Or young adult, I guess, in the end.
[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_03]: In the other one.
[00:10:01] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, this was the present because this kid couldn't have been more than what?
[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_08]: 10?
[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I seem to probably know more than 10, yeah.
[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, you was really quite good.
[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_03]: And the brother was good too.
[00:10:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Like they were both really solid.
[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_03]: He had a bigger role in it, right?
[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_03]: So it helps when you have a chance to stretch your acting shots.
[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_08]: I'll extend our aha, the director.
[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_08]: It really does create.
[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_08]: Good atmosphere and just really creepy looking film.
[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_08]: Not even creepy.
[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, kind of creepy.
[00:10:32] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, creepy looking films that are just the visuals.
[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Just sort of stay with you.
[00:10:39] [SPEAKER_08]: It was quite good.
[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know, the interesting thing is to the trailer doesn't do it.
[00:10:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Like very sad.
[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_03]: You watch the trailer like,
[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_03]: oh, this doesn't look great.
[00:10:49] [SPEAKER_03]: But it doesn't give much away.
[00:10:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, really.
[00:10:53] [SPEAKER_08]: No, in fact, it took, you know, without giving more away.
[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_08]: Maybe Mr. Exiel a little bit.
[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_03]: It does.
[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_03]: So I feel like you always kind of happy about that because it was,
[00:11:01] [SPEAKER_04]: as we're watching it, I'm like,
[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_04]: You just directed me.
[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, well, it's misdirected you to think that we were going to rage.
[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, and you kind of like Halle Berry, right?
[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_03]: So.
[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, from most part.
[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so I think it would be worth one for you to see.
[00:11:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Because you like to twist and it more.
[00:11:19] All right.
[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Trans...
[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Gender's one.
[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_08]: No, that's a different one.
[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, okay. Sorry.
[00:11:27] [SPEAKER_03]: It transformers one.
[00:11:30] [SPEAKER_08]: That's the one.
[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_03]: So look,
[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what came up.
[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Toys that could transform or cartoons that could become toys or toys.
[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_08]: Toys cast.
[00:11:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I, I'm not sure.
[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_08]: 100% true of toy came first to them.
[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_04]: Think of toys or late 70s, but...
[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know. There was cartoons back in the...
[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_08]: There was no transformer cartoon before there was a transformer toy.
[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_04]: No, the cartoon was at 80s, really 80s.
[00:11:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_03]: So anyway, I was too old when transformers came out.
[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_03]: So I have no real attachment to transformers in any way, shape or form.
[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I never had the toys.
[00:12:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I got a couple.
[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I had a couple.
[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_03]: No.
[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_04]: I was...
[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_04]: I think I had a star screen.
[00:12:15] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't even remember.
[00:12:15] [SPEAKER_08]: I even, I also had to have some gold box.
[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_04]: I had the gold box.
[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:12:19] [SPEAKER_04]: So I had none of those.
[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_04]: I had a dino bot.
[00:12:21] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know what I'd ever had.
[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_04]: Wow.
[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't even know what a dino bot is.
[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't even know that.
[00:12:25] [SPEAKER_04]: I had one.
[00:12:26] [SPEAKER_03]: So all I can tell you is I did not have an attachment to the toy.
[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_03]: The creatures, the comics, whatsoever.
[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Mm-hmm.
[00:12:33] [SPEAKER_03]: What I do know is up until this movie, my thoughts were always,
[00:12:37] [SPEAKER_03]: up to me and I was not able to dive.
[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and it's about a kid.
[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Transformer tools.
[00:13:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so I don't know how little kids will view this at all.
[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm to transform or still sell those days.
[00:13:20] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, so it's a movie for all these old
[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_08]: conduits that they used to play with
[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_04]: around four of the years after their versions.
[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_03]: But I mean, that's exactly what my point is going to be.
[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm guessing though that this may be for the parents of eight-year-old
[00:13:35] [SPEAKER_03]: kids who grew up with these things.
[00:13:37] [SPEAKER_03]: The animation is pretty outstanding.
[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, yeah, that the screen I went to there was zero kids.
[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I don't think it was any.
[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_03]: All grown-ass guys like me.
[00:13:46] [SPEAKER_03]: They're kids in our screaming.
[00:13:47] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, I don't think so.
[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't think so.
[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_08]: There's only a little bit like that.
[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_08]: It was a problem in there.
[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, all these faddles.
[00:13:52] [SPEAKER_04]: It wasn't there with no kids there.
[00:13:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so the animation was pretty, pretty outstanding.
[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Has a great cast of white silence and takes you on quite a journey.
[00:14:00] [SPEAKER_03]: But I'm sorry with kids shows there is often a butt.
[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_03]: It's kind of too long and mega-trons transformation for me was a little rushed
[00:14:13] [SPEAKER_03]: and I found it a little quick to turn for him to turn like super evil.
[00:14:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Like it was kind of a...
[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Especially against his best friend.
[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was like yeah, and then he's, you know, here's a bit of a spoiler
[00:14:25] [SPEAKER_03]: they tries to kill him at the end.
[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Like that didn't even, there was no, there was no reason for that.
[00:14:30] [SPEAKER_08]: But I can also tell you...
[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_08]: But it's like, no, no, there was.
[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_08]: His eyes went red, remember?
[00:14:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, oh, right, because they turned red.
[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so like, well that's not made.
[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, well then I, this is Mondo.
[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_08]: How did you miss that Jim?
[00:14:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, maybe I just missed that one.
[00:14:48] [SPEAKER_04]: But, sir, I was gonna say...
[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Rimes, eyes were blue.
[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_04]: So, so were scarjos.
[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah, so blue.
[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_04]: Blue is red, is bad.
[00:14:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, that's a bad role thing.
[00:14:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:14:59] [SPEAKER_03]: So, how the world works.
[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_03]: But I can also tell you those, that every time
[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Keegan Michael K. Key said,
[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Badass, a tron.
[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_04]: Badass, a tron.
[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_03]: And, or knife hands.
[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_04]: I bet I am bad.
[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I laughed.
[00:15:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes for multiple minutes at a time.
[00:15:17] [SPEAKER_03]: He was, in fact, I could not stop laughing.
[00:15:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, he was pretty good.
[00:15:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Every single word of dialogue that he said made me laugh, uncontrollably.
[00:15:25] [SPEAKER_04]: He was a comiferous.
[00:15:26] [SPEAKER_04]: So, I...
[00:15:27] [SPEAKER_04]: See the one that becomes bumblebee?
[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think so.
[00:15:31] [SPEAKER_08]: No.
[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes.
[00:15:33] [SPEAKER_08]: Is it?
[00:15:33] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I believe he does.
[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, like that's what the real life is.
[00:15:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I mean, no.
[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_08]: I think that's a good thing.
[00:15:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Michael, James, this is a ship thing.
[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Like, yeah.
[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, he was badass a tron.
[00:15:44] [SPEAKER_04]: And he said, you can call me B.
[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_04]: Then he was kind of yellowish.
[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_04]: I thought, maybe he's a tron.
[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_08]: I think you're on to something there, man.
[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_08]: You know what?
[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_03]: I think you know what?
[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway, this was man.
[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I liked it.
[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe he's from.
[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_03]: I liked, I liked a little bit of the darkness to it.
[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I liked laughing a lot through it.
[00:16:01] [SPEAKER_03]: And then it was fun.
[00:16:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I liked it.
[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_04]: I guess I'll go with it.
[00:16:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Sure.
[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_04]: Um, yeah, so I'm a little bit younger than Jim, not much.
[00:16:14] [SPEAKER_04]: And I, he's at the tail end of this.
[00:16:16] [SPEAKER_04]: I do remember the cartoon.
[00:16:17] [SPEAKER_04]: I love the cartoon.
[00:16:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Never seen any of the live actions.
[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_04]: Don't ever care to.
[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_04]: You shouldn't.
[00:16:24] [SPEAKER_04]: Because to me, transformers were the cartoon.
[00:16:29] [SPEAKER_04]: That was what I remembered.
[00:16:30] [SPEAKER_04]: I didn't want to ruin that by watching some live action crap.
[00:16:34] [SPEAKER_04]: CGI and all that stuff.
[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_04]: So I didn't bother.
[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_08]: The CGI such a mess in those movies.
[00:16:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it is.
[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't even know what's going on with those movies.
[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_08]: It's just metal.
[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, like on top of metal.
[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_08]: Anything was like more of a robot like.
[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah.
[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know.
[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_04]: It was like a 10 second scene of Megan Fox, leaning over a motorbike.
[00:16:51] [SPEAKER_04]: That was like, that was like, that was in this movie.
[00:16:52] [SPEAKER_04]: I missed it all in the first one.
[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, you've originally.
[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_04]: No, this was the perfect thing.
[00:16:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Only part of it I liked.
[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_08]: You know what?
[00:16:57] [SPEAKER_08]: You see that.
[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_08]: And then I actually have a,
[00:17:00] [SPEAKER_08]: give a vision of that vision of that.
[00:17:02] [SPEAKER_08]: I do remember that scene.
[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_04]: That was to pull you in, but unfortunately the movie sucked.
[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_04]: That's why we went to.
[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, yeah, I'd been to pull you out.
[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, like, like, like, Jim, I had no real interest in trans-wormers.
[00:17:17] [SPEAKER_04]: I liked this for one reason when reason only.
[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_04]: That was for the hem's worth because I love me some hem's worth.
[00:17:23] [SPEAKER_03]: You do.
[00:17:24] [SPEAKER_04]: And it was interesting because he's taken over from the original voice actor who
[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_04]: he did for 40 years.
[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_04]: 40 years?
[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_04]: At least 40 like the 80s.
[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_04]: That's like,
[00:17:31] [SPEAKER_04]: So you mean the gut wait?
[00:17:32] [SPEAKER_04]: So you're calling who did the voice of Optimus Prime?
[00:17:36] [SPEAKER_04]: From the cartoons is also too.
[00:17:37] [SPEAKER_04]: And he did the voice for all the live action ones, too.
[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_04]: Why?
[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_00]: I think he won't.
[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_04]: He's the past away or else he just fired.
[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_04]: So yeah, for hem's worth a take up that voice,
[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_04]: that's pretty daunting.
[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Which I think you need to reach a great job.
[00:17:51] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, yeah, the end is like,
[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_04]: I wouldn't have noticed if it was proud.
[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, like, okay, dude, that's a little cheesy, but
[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_04]: yeah, it was a cartoon.
[00:18:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Which I don't usually go to, but it was fun little movie.
[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_04]: I thought it would be funnier.
[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Like when I saw the trailer, I'm like, okay, this is gonna be a nice, you know, buddy,
[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_04]: Rob kind of a thing and then it was darkest.
[00:18:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Fuck, dark and then at the end, the big fight scene in that,
[00:18:16] [SPEAKER_04]: you have between the two main guys and like, yeah, it's best friend.
[00:18:19] [SPEAKER_04]: You'll understandably want revenge on the bad guy who
[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_04]: the entire, you know, species of robots
[00:18:29] [SPEAKER_04]: into doing his work for him.
[00:18:30] [SPEAKER_04]: I understand the want revenge, but he just got dark.
[00:18:33] [SPEAKER_04]: Like he didn't want to just punch him.
[00:18:34] [SPEAKER_04]: He wanted him dead.
[00:18:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Like he had murderous thoughts from being this nice guy at all,
[00:18:40] [SPEAKER_04]: a sudden, wants to kill me because he got red eyes.
[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Right, yeah.
[00:18:44] [SPEAKER_03]: You know what?
[00:18:45] [SPEAKER_03]: I learned something every time we have our podcast.
[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I totally missed the fact that it was because his eyes were red.
[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, that's true.
[00:18:51] [SPEAKER_03]: And I remember transformed me as dead.
[00:18:54] [SPEAKER_04]: They were like, great.
[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_04]: I was pretty sure the cartoon they were on earth.
[00:18:57] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't remember them being in the world.
[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_03]: No, they're on that whatever.
[00:19:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Side of the cyber trauma.
[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_04]: Side of the trauma.
[00:19:02] [SPEAKER_04]: But I thought they were looking for a side of the trauma.
[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_08]: No, I probably were, but this is like pre-card time.
[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_04]: You read the original cartoon.
[00:19:10] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, this is the origin story, the original cartoon.
[00:19:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, so I thought they were on earth in the cartoon.
[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, they go to earth.
[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they go to earth.
[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_04]: So they go to earth.
[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_04]: Is it alien?
[00:19:19] [SPEAKER_04]: The incident that basically separates the allobossment,
[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_04]: the septicons which basically if you don't know alloboss to the cards.
[00:19:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Septicons are the jets.
[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but sorry.
[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_04]: And it's the Decepticon part.
[00:19:33] [SPEAKER_04]: To set, I don't know.
[00:19:33] [SPEAKER_04]: That's what they call them.
[00:19:34] [SPEAKER_04]: That part didn't get extra.
[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, because it's the Decepticon.
[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Decepticon, or you think they were a robot?
[00:19:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh no, you're a, you're a, you're a jet.
[00:19:40] [SPEAKER_04]: You're a, you're a plane.
[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_04]: And an auto-bot.
[00:19:42] [SPEAKER_04]: But all of that, the real cards, they're all made of robot.
[00:19:46] [SPEAKER_08]: That can turn into birds.
[00:19:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, there's like semi-sense.
[00:19:49] [SPEAKER_04]: They're autos.
[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_08]: Because the thermos are cars.
[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, all of them.
[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_08]: It's pretty simple, Jim.
[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_04]: Anyway, at the end, spoiler would all be planes,
[00:19:59] [SPEAKER_04]: like, oh, but yeah, the incident basically separates those two.
[00:20:02] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't even know there was a faction.
[00:20:04] [SPEAKER_03]: So that was another part of my head.
[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_04]: Like, no, it was a, the original cartoon was always all over.
[00:20:08] [SPEAKER_07]: Well, there's a conflict going to be if there's no faction.
[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_04]: I said they're always fighting each other, but yeah,
[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_04]: again, to your point in the cartoon, nobody ever dies.
[00:20:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Like, you never see a robot blown to pieces.
[00:20:21] [SPEAKER_03]: And there's so much death in this fight and fighting.
[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_04]: But this one, yeah, they just, like, oh my god,
[00:20:26] [SPEAKER_04]: one guy just ripped in half.
[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[00:20:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Holy crap.
[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, I might change my rating.
[00:20:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
[00:20:33] [SPEAKER_04]: I think I can't give it a, I can't give it a,
[00:20:36] [SPEAKER_04]: I can't give it a monto.
[00:20:37] [SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, it was, it was a good time.
[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Who is a man?
[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I love the hemids were.
[00:20:41] [SPEAKER_04]: So I think get a good job.
[00:20:43] [SPEAKER_02]: All right.
[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I thought it was pretty fun for the most part.
[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_08]: But I must admit, I may have dosed off a few times.
[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_08]: So, you know,
[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_04]: there's shocker.
[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_08]: I think I got the gist of it.
[00:20:57] [SPEAKER_08]: I love the day too.
[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_08]: Like, I guarantee I got the accl.
[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_08]: It sounds like I got the gist more than gym because.
[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not, I just don't understand when they just all
[00:21:07] [SPEAKER_03]: listen and put things in.
[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like, okay, now we're the decepticons.
[00:21:10] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like, what?
[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, the, the, the thing I didn't get is, I guess, yeah,
[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_04]: this will be the auto boss.
[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_04]: This is a prequel.
[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_04]: But you got, you know, optimist and
[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Megatron, whatever they used to be.
[00:21:22] [SPEAKER_04]: They're like tiny little versions of themselves.
[00:21:25] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, then they changed all the actual crimes, the real real.
[00:21:28] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they get big.
[00:21:29] [SPEAKER_04]: Why is their size?
[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, what's your robot?
[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_04]: How do you grow your male machine parts?
[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_04]: Some, the things that go in their chest make them bigger.
[00:21:38] [SPEAKER_04]: Go like that.
[00:21:39] [SPEAKER_04]: That's fine.
[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_04]: I understand that.
[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, it's like they're like half the size.
[00:21:42] [SPEAKER_07]: There are machines, but there's,
[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, we're just to believe that there's a bigger or less you.
[00:21:47] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, they do.
[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know anyway.
[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_04]: Continue.
[00:21:51] [SPEAKER_03]: They do it.
[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_03]: It's my way.
[00:21:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Wait, here okay.
[00:21:53] [SPEAKER_03]: So you know what?
[00:21:54] [SPEAKER_03]: We've talked about a lot of magic on this podcast.
[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:21:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's robot magic.
[00:21:58] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, it's robot magic.
[00:22:00] [SPEAKER_04]: It's still, it's a machine.
[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_04]: It can't get bigger.
[00:22:03] [SPEAKER_04]: It can't get bigger unless you build on it.
[00:22:05] [SPEAKER_08]: Unless you're on, uh, the,
[00:22:07] [SPEAKER_08]: cyber-traum.
[00:22:07] [SPEAKER_08]: Cyber-traum.
[00:22:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Where it's magic?
[00:22:09] [SPEAKER_03]: It's, it's, it's,
[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_08]: on cyber-traum robots get bigger.
[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_03]: And, and they, they build their part.
[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_04]: They, they, they, all of their parts get bigger.
[00:22:17] [SPEAKER_03]: How did they replicate that?
[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's an Audi out of baby, uh,
[00:22:21] [SPEAKER_03]: while we know there's female in the robot.
[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_03]: So, they want to keep that PG rating, yeah.
[00:22:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, you can't wait till the porn version of it,
[00:22:28] [SPEAKER_03]: because that's the one I'm not gonna see.
[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Hey, right?
[00:22:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:22:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I won't be deceptic on by anything and that, uh,
[00:22:35] [SPEAKER_08]: knife hands, bad ass of tron, that made it, man.
[00:22:38] There you go.
[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_03]: That's the only thing that made it, man.
[00:22:40] [SPEAKER_08]: Pretty much.
[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_04]: He can make a key made it.
[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, okay, but you didn't like the darkness level of this film.
[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_08]: You know what, it was, it was, it was,
[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_08]: I did like the darkness.
[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_08]: So I, I, I, a lot of robots die.
[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_08]: A lot of robots die.
[00:22:52] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm not a very, very, very production of this film.
[00:22:55] [SPEAKER_08]: No, no, that was animation.
[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_08]: They're all fine.
[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.
[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Some of them, I think,
[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I've never been to cyber-traum.
[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_03]: So I don't know.
[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, cyber-traum.
[00:23:04] [SPEAKER_03]: They're gonna tell you it's,
[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_03]: things are different inside of them.
[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_03]: It's animated, but I think robots actually died
[00:23:09] [SPEAKER_03]: in the making of this thing.
[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_08]: No, I think, I think in the true story of cyber-traum,
[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_08]: that robots died.
[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_08]: They had to.
[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_08]: In this, in this recreation.
[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_08]: Nobody died.
[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Everybody was okay.
[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_09]: I want to see the dock version of this.
[00:23:27] [SPEAKER_09]: Yes.
[00:23:28] [SPEAKER_04]: The making of.
[00:23:29] [SPEAKER_08]: No, no, not the making of the actual documentary of how it really happened.
[00:23:32] [SPEAKER_08]: Not really happened.
[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_09]: The true story of cyber-traum is just,
[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_04]: it's just, it's just, it's just, it's just,
[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_09]: it'll be so good.
[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_08]: Wow, we agree so much today.
[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_03]: This is crazy.
[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_03]: It's totally the crazy.
[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not gonna lie.
[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Speaking of crazy.
[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_03]: All right.
[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you want to talk about the substance first?
[00:23:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Or do you want me to?
[00:23:59] [SPEAKER_00]: I go ahead.
[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_03]: All right, nice.
[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_03]: So, this film, the substance.
[00:24:07] [SPEAKER_06]: Hmm.
[00:24:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Huh?
[00:24:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Rikens it in.
[00:24:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Huh?
[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Huh?
[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_03]: That's what I kind of want to say about it.
[00:24:15] [SPEAKER_03]: One thing before I start, though.
[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_03]: This took me on a journey that had me changing my perspective
[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_03]: on where I am at with this film a lot through the entire film.
[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And I mean, I've seen, you know, I we've seen a ton of movies,
[00:24:32] [SPEAKER_03]: but there's never been a movie that I've been on a journey like this one.
[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's two hours and 20 minutes.
[00:24:41] [SPEAKER_03]: So, it gives you a lot of time to change your mind on your own viewing experience.
[00:24:48] [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, this it does.
[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_03]: The beginning has us in a futuristic sci-fi adventure with Demi Moore as our lead playing a
[00:24:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Lisbiff sparkle who learns about and I'm putting in heavy quotes here the substance,
[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_03]: which allows her to create another younger version of herself,
[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_03]: which is ultimately part of her life.
[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, then it creates science rules, which for the most part it follows,
[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_03]: but at sometimes it has characters like Dennis Quades character
[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_03]: who is completely over the top and super wacky, which seems not part of the whole first start of the story.
[00:25:27] [SPEAKER_03]: So, the tone of the film seemed lost right from the start.
[00:25:31] [SPEAKER_03]: And as we get into the film, like most Hollywood films these days,
[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_03]: it way over a Maris Blaine's everything to us to the point that it became annoying.
[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_03]: In addition, it's way too long.
[00:25:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Did I mention it was two hours and 20 minutes?
[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_03]: 21 minutes.
[00:25:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, sorry, two hours and 21 minutes.
[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_03]: So, it's way too long for what this film was.
[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_03]: We get the point.
[00:25:55] [SPEAKER_03]: We know what the message is.
[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Even from the very first moment this film starts,
[00:26:02] [SPEAKER_03]: it's not a hidden message, but they keep drumming and emersplaining it all the way through the film.
[00:26:07] [SPEAKER_03]: By the time you get to the end, you're like fucking end already.
[00:26:10] [SPEAKER_03]: And although
[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_03]: it was
[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_03]: had some times where there was issues, it eventually finds its stride.
[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_03]: By the end of the movie,
[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_03]: the tone has changed again, like fully.
[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_03]: From the beginning and throws every single caution to the wind and becomes an over-the-top
[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_03]: body-horror wacky, fun-filled right to the very last second of this
[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_03]: where we get a basket case version of monstros, elissue
[00:26:44] [SPEAKER_03]: and wicked witch version of Demi Moore fighting it out
[00:26:49] [SPEAKER_03]: and trolling around her apartment, which is all
[00:26:54] [SPEAKER_03]: completely ridiculous.
[00:26:56] [SPEAKER_03]: I could not stop laughing.
[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_03]: The last half of this movie is freaking hilarious, but in a good way.
[00:27:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so I've been to little Demi's witchfight happened.
[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I was on my way to rage down with this, but by the end,
[00:27:14] [SPEAKER_03]: I was so satisfied
[00:27:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't walk out earlier because I was going to at one point.
[00:27:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I was like, this is horrible.
[00:27:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Like what are they trying to do here?
[00:27:25] [SPEAKER_03]: On top of that,
[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_03]: we got so much female nudity from the beautiful Demi Moore and Margaret Qualey.
[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Demi is naked pretty much as a whole movie,
[00:27:38] [SPEAKER_03]: even when she's a troll witch.
[00:27:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, I guess the only thing I could have complained about that
[00:27:45] [SPEAKER_03]: is they had full opportunity to show full frontal male nudity a couple of times
[00:27:50] [SPEAKER_03]: and they didn't.
[00:27:52] [SPEAKER_03]: So I'm kind of like, yes, I know that's also part of the point because
[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_03]: they're pushing it from a female perspective, but you know what?
[00:28:00] [SPEAKER_03]: If you're going to make movie with tons of nude people in it,
[00:28:03] [SPEAKER_03]: get make it for everybody.
[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_08]: But that wasn't the point, but okay yeah.
[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but right?
[00:28:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, if you're going to have nudity,
[00:28:11] [SPEAKER_08]: no, but in this film,
[00:28:13] [SPEAKER_08]: I think there was that was a choice, not something that she just did.
[00:28:20] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh no, I know it's a choice.
[00:28:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I know and I'm thinking that's a bad choice.
[00:28:24] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know why because then it doesn't hammer home the message that she was trying to
[00:28:29] [SPEAKER_08]: cope with.
[00:28:29] [SPEAKER_08]: And I realize they're saying,
[00:28:31] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know in a way,
[00:28:32] [SPEAKER_08]: like, why is it different for men?
[00:28:34] [SPEAKER_08]: But that's not what this movie was.
[00:28:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, well, well,
[00:28:37] [SPEAKER_03]: I have so much of it though.
[00:28:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I have so much.
[00:28:39] [SPEAKER_04]: I would, it is different.
[00:28:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Not exactly what we're saying.
[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_04]: Not a lot of men get that's what she's saying.
[00:28:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and I'm saying,
[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_03]: other movies if this was made in Europe,
[00:28:52] [SPEAKER_03]: we would have seen some winner.
[00:28:53] [SPEAKER_08]: That's not if they were trying to convey the message that she was trying to convey.
[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, you mean the message we got from the very beginning of the movie?
[00:29:00] [SPEAKER_03]: To the very end?
[00:29:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
[00:29:02] [SPEAKER_03]: It was a dream.
[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_08]: And why would you go against that message by showing a winner?
[00:29:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Fair for everybody.
[00:29:10] [SPEAKER_08]: And that's, and I do that.
[00:29:12] [SPEAKER_08]: I absolutely, but that's not the movie she was making.
[00:29:14] [SPEAKER_08]: That's not the message she was conveying.
[00:29:16] [SPEAKER_03]: You do what?
[00:29:17] [SPEAKER_03]: But she, okay, so just get over it.
[00:29:19] [SPEAKER_08]: Just get you up this obsession with wanting to see weeners on movie.
[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh no!
[00:29:23] [SPEAKER_08]: It doesn't mean they should always be there.
[00:29:26] [SPEAKER_08]: What you're trying to convey a certain message.
[00:29:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, this message was a little bit lost because it was totally,
[00:29:31] [SPEAKER_08]: it was a little bit less lost.
[00:29:33] [SPEAKER_08]: It was in your face.
[00:29:34] [SPEAKER_03]: It was the tone of this movie was too much.
[00:29:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's true.
[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_03]: You know what?
[00:29:38] [SPEAKER_03]: It was a man.
[00:29:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I got lots of unpacking to do but I want to hear a price I say about this.
[00:29:44] [SPEAKER_08]: It's just like you said, you know the movie starts and you're like oh my god.
[00:29:48] [SPEAKER_08]: And it's going on and I mean stylistically it's very stylistic.
[00:29:53] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean it's, it is a slick looking picture with some, you know, very, very pretty people and even
[00:30:00] [SPEAKER_08]: pretty older actors.
[00:30:02] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_08]: And it's kind of annoying at the beginning of the movie but then it catches its stride.
[00:30:09] [SPEAKER_08]: Things start to go a little, I, I, it didn't take this long for me to get into it.
[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_08]: Is it did for you it seems because as soon as
[00:30:18] [SPEAKER_08]: the first thing went wrong with the, uh, with the injection seven days.
[00:30:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I was actually in because then then I'm like okay where's this going to go from here?
[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_08]: And I am, was so pleased that we're at went from there because as you say about the last 20
[00:30:34] [SPEAKER_08]: minutes of this is absolutely just just, it's just bonkers.
[00:30:41] [SPEAKER_08]: But yeah, I, as I say, I disagree with you with the way that they did the nudity because
[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_08]: it was, it was, it was proving a point.
[00:30:50] [SPEAKER_08]: I know you just want to see weaners.
[00:30:51] [SPEAKER_03]: No, but I have more to say about that.
[00:30:53] [SPEAKER_03]: But in my unpacking.
[00:30:54] [SPEAKER_08]: All right, I can't wait for your unpacking.
[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_08]: I've been usually, usually I just want to skip your unpacking.
[00:31:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I know.
[00:31:00] [SPEAKER_08]: In this case, I'm, you've got me intrigued again.
[00:31:03] [SPEAKER_08]: Wait for your unpacking.
[00:31:03] [SPEAKER_08]: Nice.
[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_08]: But yeah, the subtlety does not exist in this movie in any form.
[00:31:09] [SPEAKER_08]: This is, this is a, this is a punch right to the face with the message and quite often I don't,
[00:31:15] [SPEAKER_08]: but I still didn't feel like I was being preached to.
[00:31:18] [SPEAKER_08]: We've seen some movies lately where I, I, I, I didn't.
[00:31:21] [SPEAKER_08]: And maybe it was because of it was such a wacky premise that I didn't feel like I was being preached to.
[00:31:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Did you think though that they were definitely a mirror spawning a lot of things as you're going through it?
[00:31:31] [SPEAKER_03]: They're like, they keep emphasizing certain things.
[00:31:33] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like, yeah, we got that point and then they would re-emphasize the point and say,
[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, I, I, I, I actually didn't have a problem with it.
[00:31:40] [SPEAKER_08]: I didn't, I didn't notice it as much as you did.
[00:31:43] [SPEAKER_08]: Ugh, I, you can't help it.
[00:31:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Like when you watch, okay, we've been in the midst of watching a ton of international films.
[00:31:50] [SPEAKER_03]: And in international films, they don't assume that their audience is stupid.
[00:31:56] [SPEAKER_07]: No, and I, I don't, I don't think that's what she was doing.
[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_07]: I don't think she's a lot of them.
[00:32:00] [SPEAKER_07]: No, she was hitting you in the face with this because that's the movie that she was making.
[00:32:04] [SPEAKER_07]: She wasn't doing it to explain stuff to you.
[00:32:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not, I'm not talking about, I'm not talking about the point of the movie.
[00:32:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:32:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm talking about they would show a scene and then they would, they would have to re-explain that scene again.
[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's just like, I can't remember all the, oh, the two tells of it.
[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_03]: But it had a lot to do with the medicine that was doing it.
[00:32:24] [SPEAKER_03]: It was like they're re-enphasizing the medicine part which really isn't,
[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:32:28] [SPEAKER_03]: We got the point.
[00:32:29] [SPEAKER_03]: This is what's happening and then they would just keep showing more about it.
[00:32:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm just like, this could have been edited out and they just,
[00:32:36] [SPEAKER_08]: No, don't get it.
[00:32:36] [SPEAKER_08]: Don't get me wrong.
[00:32:37] [SPEAKER_08]: This needed to be far, far less than two hours and twenty one minutes.
[00:32:41] [SPEAKER_08]: This, if they, if there was an edited version of this that was about an hour and 40 minutes,
[00:32:47] [SPEAKER_08]: I think this could be Mando.
[00:32:49] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, totally.
[00:32:50] [SPEAKER_08]: But it does, it is, and while you're like the, you're like seeing repetition and
[00:32:55] [SPEAKER_08]: over-explaining and things like that, I'm just seeing a long ass movie.
[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_08]: And that need, didn't need to be a long ass movie.
[00:33:02] [SPEAKER_08]: There's definitely scenes that could have been cut out of this.
[00:33:04] [SPEAKER_08]: This could have been tightened up considerably.
[00:33:08] [SPEAKER_08]: But, you know, you can't get away from the fact that you left the theater going,
[00:33:12] [SPEAKER_08]: Wow, that was entertaining.
[00:33:14] [SPEAKER_08]: I had a lot of fun.
[00:33:15] [SPEAKER_08]: I did.
[00:33:16] [SPEAKER_08]: And, you know, but it is a very high mat.
[00:33:19] [SPEAKER_08]: It just needed someone to edit the leap out of it to be Mando.
[00:33:24] [SPEAKER_08]: It, all the stuff's there for it to be Mando and it's, even in the story is,
[00:33:29] [SPEAKER_08]: it's, it's good.
[00:33:30] [SPEAKER_08]: It's a good story.
[00:33:31] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[00:33:31] [SPEAKER_08]: It's well executed.
[00:33:33] [SPEAKER_08]: It's just too long.
[00:33:34] [SPEAKER_03]: So here's what I think.
[00:33:35] [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah.
[00:33:35] [SPEAKER_03]: It's me.
[00:33:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Hi, man.
[00:33:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Hi, man.
[00:33:41] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, I'm just going to give him a break.
[00:33:43] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I'm sorry.
[00:33:43] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, I got him a pack of these.
[00:33:45] [SPEAKER_03]: So could you?
[00:33:46] [SPEAKER_07]: I'm just saying, hi, man.
[00:33:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Hi, man.
[00:33:50] [SPEAKER_03]: So could you not see like this is a kind of movie I think that in the hands of Baby
[00:33:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Chronoberg, this would have been a Mando.
[00:33:57] [SPEAKER_07]: Oh, this is no question.
[00:33:59] [SPEAKER_07]: Right?
[00:34:00] [SPEAKER_07]: But it would have been a,
[00:34:02] [SPEAKER_07]: but you know, it would have had different sense.
[00:34:03] [SPEAKER_08]: It would have been totally different movie, though.
[00:34:06] [SPEAKER_08]: And do I want to see that version?
[00:34:09] [SPEAKER_08]: Do I think that this, this director had,
[00:34:12] [SPEAKER_08]: did need it, you need to get some stuff off or chest and say what she had to say?
[00:34:16] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.
[00:34:16] [SPEAKER_08]: Cool.
[00:34:17] [SPEAKER_08]: And she did, and she did it well.
[00:34:19] [SPEAKER_08]: You, like, she hammered it home a little too much.
[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_08]: I was like, yeah, I didn't feel preach too really.
[00:34:24] [SPEAKER_03]: It was just, well, the preachy part was aside because there's a message that they want to get.
[00:34:29] [SPEAKER_08]: It's definitely a message.
[00:34:30] [SPEAKER_03]: But the things that gets me is when they over explain things that are obvious to the people.
[00:34:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Like things like scenes in the restaurant where it was just like we got to re-explain something
[00:34:40] [SPEAKER_03]: to people because the people watching can understand, I didn't feel, I didn't feel that.
[00:34:45] [SPEAKER_03]: I felt at least four times in the movie.
[00:34:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I can't even remember what they are probably because you sidetracked me with your snoring.
[00:34:52] [SPEAKER_03]: But okay, so,
[00:34:53] [SPEAKER_08]: don't know, A, A, A. I did not fall asleep in this one.
[00:34:58] [SPEAKER_08]: That is 100% true.
[00:35:00] [SPEAKER_08]: I will admit what I felt asleep and transformers won.
[00:35:04] [SPEAKER_08]: I did not watch a lot of news.
[00:35:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know what?
[00:35:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I just want to say wein' or cake.
[00:35:09] [SPEAKER_03]: That's all I want to say.
[00:35:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, so here's my problem.
[00:35:13] [SPEAKER_03]: One of my big problems about the scenes in the bathroom.
[00:35:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Okay.
[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.
[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And again, probably the message she's trying to bring.
[00:35:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh.
[00:35:21] [SPEAKER_03]: But okay, let's say the three of us.
[00:35:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Like they never made a connection that when they made the way this made the switch
[00:35:29] [SPEAKER_03]: that they were aware of what was happening.
[00:35:32] [SPEAKER_03]: So it was kind of like a separate person even though they kept saying
[00:35:35] [SPEAKER_08]: that you're one.
[00:35:35] [SPEAKER_03]: You're one, right?
[00:35:36] [SPEAKER_03]: So they don't know what's happening.
[00:35:38] [SPEAKER_03]: But if, if, let's say I,
[00:35:40] [SPEAKER_03]: but you're just a version of Nate, it was you.
[00:35:44] [SPEAKER_03]: What I just throw you down on like the bathroom floor for seven days.
[00:35:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Or would I, you know, put you in a nice comfy bed.
[00:35:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Cover you up to make you warm.
[00:35:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Like they're leaving each other's.
[00:35:58] [SPEAKER_08]: Well that was part of the point though because they both resented each other, Jim.
[00:36:03] [SPEAKER_03]: But at the end part of the point is total resentment.
[00:36:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I reset you for no.
[00:36:08] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a looting.
[00:36:09] [SPEAKER_03]: That developed but the very first time,
[00:36:13] [SPEAKER_03]: the very first time it wouldn't have happened that way.
[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_07]: Do you mean it's very first time she took the time to
[00:36:19] [SPEAKER_07]: soar up and she took care of her.
[00:36:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, she took, she took the time to soar up
[00:36:25] [SPEAKER_03]: and then leave her in the middle of the floor.
[00:36:28] [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, no.
[00:36:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Right from day one, like people just don't do that.
[00:36:32] [SPEAKER_03]: People just don't leave.
[00:36:34] [SPEAKER_03]: They wouldn't.
[00:36:35] [SPEAKER_03]: They wouldn't.
[00:36:36] [SPEAKER_03]: They wouldn't.
[00:36:37] [SPEAKER_03]: That's the same.
[00:36:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Progressive.
[00:36:38] [SPEAKER_03]: But it would have started out with a nice comfy bed
[00:36:40] [SPEAKER_03]: and some spark of pillows and maybe a food ton or whatever.
[00:36:45] [SPEAKER_03]: That's your version.
[00:36:46] [SPEAKER_03]: No, that's you know what?
[00:36:47] [SPEAKER_03]: It took me out of the movie right from the start.
[00:36:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Because I'm like, I know you're trying to make the point about
[00:36:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I will, I will, I will all the time.
[00:36:55] [SPEAKER_08]: I will admit that when it did happen, I was like,
[00:36:59] [SPEAKER_08]: huh, that's kind of odd when she put her in bed.
[00:37:02] [SPEAKER_03]: It's too, exactly.
[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_03]: It was completely stupid.
[00:37:05] [SPEAKER_03]: It was really stupid.
[00:37:07] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like, you can just as easily administer.
[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_08]: But then they're, but then, but then okay.
[00:37:11] [SPEAKER_08]: So the initial thing's stupid.
[00:37:13] [SPEAKER_08]: But then, well it's not even stupid.
[00:37:14] [SPEAKER_08]: I mean, it's just, it's an oversight.
[00:37:16] [SPEAKER_08]: It's like, oh, I get it.
[00:37:17] [SPEAKER_08]: No, I got stuff to do.
[00:37:18] [SPEAKER_08]: They have to, what am I going to do?
[00:37:20] [SPEAKER_03]: She really show that these women have to naked.
[00:37:22] [SPEAKER_08]: But then she wants to wall her off and that made more sense.
[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know what?
[00:37:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Anyway.
[00:37:28] [SPEAKER_03]: That made sense.
[00:37:29] [SPEAKER_03]: That did make sense.
[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I still think that she's going to end up going in there next.
[00:37:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Possibly unless she finds out she can't.
[00:37:39] [SPEAKER_03]: But I just, I thought you would make your other self more comfortable.
[00:37:43] [SPEAKER_03]: It kind of pissed me off.
[00:37:45] [SPEAKER_03]: The other thing that I thought was, it's also, you know,
[00:37:49] [SPEAKER_07]: it's, it's, yeah.
[00:37:51] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay.
[00:37:52] [SPEAKER_08]: But I, I didn't think that was a problem.
[00:37:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it was for me.
[00:37:56] [SPEAKER_03]: And I did like though all the Easter eggs in this.
[00:38:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Like the, the, the, I'm, as we were watching this movie,
[00:38:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I was totally thinking, this is like society as it comes to the end.
[00:38:13] [SPEAKER_03]: And then the carpet from the shining, like there's a lot of homage to horror all the way through this.
[00:38:19] [SPEAKER_03]: I'd be anxious to see some geeks analysis of this to say all the Easter eggs that are in this because
[00:38:25] [SPEAKER_03]: that was kind of cool actually.
[00:38:28] [SPEAKER_08]: It was, it was a, and that's a good way to describe it.
[00:38:30] [SPEAKER_08]: It's a cool movie.
[00:38:31] [SPEAKER_08]: There's no question.
[00:38:32] [SPEAKER_08]: It's too warm.
[00:38:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:38:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Just cut out like four or six minutes in a million.
[00:38:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Way to go.
[00:38:39] [SPEAKER_08]: But you have about 40 minutes.
[00:38:40] [SPEAKER_08]: If you get down to an hour and 40, and we're dipping.
[00:38:42] [SPEAKER_03]: The thing is I don't think Murray would like this other than the nudity.
[00:38:46] [SPEAKER_04]: Ah, well, but I saw the last, I don't know near the end.
[00:38:49] [SPEAKER_04]: There's a hell of a bloody scene at the end.
[00:38:51] [SPEAKER_04]: It's, it's wacky.
[00:38:52] [SPEAKER_04]: I would've enjoyed that, like you said, I'll just show up for like the last 20 minutes.
[00:38:56] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, watch the whole thing.
[00:38:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Watch the first 10 in the last 20 minutes.
[00:38:59] [SPEAKER_03]: No, watch it all.
[00:39:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Nice.
[00:39:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'm done.
[00:39:06] [SPEAKER_08]: So done.
[00:39:10] [SPEAKER_08]: Dude, it's my, my minute.
[00:39:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Seriously, think I had time to do anything?
[00:39:13] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, when you've got thoughts on everything all the time?
[00:39:16] [SPEAKER_04]: I just want to thought.
[00:39:17] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, give it the story of thought.
[00:39:18] [SPEAKER_08]: Just one though.
[00:39:19] [SPEAKER_04]: It's related to your guys' thoughts.
[00:39:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Okay.
[00:39:22] [SPEAKER_04]: About movies you really want to see that don't come here.
[00:39:25] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh, yeah.
[00:39:26] [SPEAKER_04]: There is a movie which I found out on Saturday for one of our,
[00:39:30] [SPEAKER_04]: SIF, men, people.
[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, this is super man thing.
[00:39:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Jump to go to the knee gear.
[00:39:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Stay in your lane.
[00:39:39] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I found out on Saturday while I was working.
[00:39:42] [SPEAKER_04]: That the Christopher Reeve documentary was in town at Country Hills.
[00:39:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Hmm.
[00:39:49] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, how many showings are all of that said movie?
[00:39:52] [SPEAKER_04]: Uh-huh.
[00:39:52] [SPEAKER_08]: Two.
[00:39:53] [SPEAKER_08]: That's about right.
[00:39:55] [SPEAKER_04]: In seven days there are two showings.
[00:39:59] [SPEAKER_04]: One was Saturday which I could not make because I was already going to something
[00:40:02] [SPEAKER_04]: at the club.
[00:40:03] [SPEAKER_04]: But, uh, the other one is tonight.
[00:40:05] [SPEAKER_04]: That will be Wednesday.
[00:40:07] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[00:40:07] [SPEAKER_04]: Ah, which is after I'm finished working at Shinoq.
[00:40:10] [SPEAKER_06]: Uh-huh.
[00:40:11] [SPEAKER_04]: But to do that, I had to cancel out on bookworm which I had to take a
[00:40:15] [SPEAKER_06]: boon.
[00:40:16] [SPEAKER_04]: No.
[00:40:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Not to leave bookworm is showing again.
[00:40:18] [SPEAKER_04]: So now I have to do this instead of watching football on Sunday,
[00:40:22] [SPEAKER_04]: which I was going to do, I have to make my way down to Shinoq to see that one movie
[00:40:26] [SPEAKER_04]: because I couldn't see it tonight.
[00:40:27] [SPEAKER_08]: Hey, I gotta make my way down to Shinoq to see one movie.
[00:40:30] [SPEAKER_04]: So yeah.
[00:40:30] [SPEAKER_04]: So it's like if you're gonna bring a movie, at least show it like once a day or something.
[00:40:37] [SPEAKER_04]: Even if it's like four in the afternoon, at least have one show in a day event.
[00:40:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Like that's ridiculous.
[00:40:41] [SPEAKER_08]: But Murray, do some enough people to go to it.
[00:40:45] [SPEAKER_04]: I think I would differ on that.
[00:40:47] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, we're gonna find out.
[00:40:48] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, tell me how many people were in tonight.
[00:40:50] [SPEAKER_08]: There's two showings and I would like to know if it's over 10.
[00:40:54] [SPEAKER_04]: Well, we shot the other guy that Guy was talking to went to the one on Saturday
[00:40:58] [SPEAKER_04]: and he said actually it was pretty full.
[00:41:01] [SPEAKER_08]: All right.
[00:41:02] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, all of my words just give me the head count.
[00:41:05] [SPEAKER_04]: Personally, yes.
[00:41:07] [SPEAKER_04]: I admire Chris.
[00:41:07] [SPEAKER_04]: I know.
[00:41:08] [SPEAKER_04]: That's cool.
[00:41:08] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't know what he said.
[00:41:10] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, yeah, that's.
[00:41:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I do have things to say, but I'm not going to say any.
[00:41:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, because you know better.
[00:41:15] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.
[00:41:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Better now.
[00:41:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Tim, enjoy you know him.
[00:41:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Just for the glory.
[00:41:26] [SPEAKER_03]: We framed from saying.
[00:41:27] [SPEAKER_06]: French.
[00:41:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Taking over.
[00:41:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
[00:41:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Wow.
[00:41:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, must sweet sweet rage.
[00:41:51] [SPEAKER_03]: All right.
[00:41:52] [SPEAKER_03]: My rage this week comes from children.
[00:42:00] [SPEAKER_03]: So Brace and I are at one of the films we're watching this week
[00:42:05] [SPEAKER_03]: from the film festival.
[00:42:07] [SPEAKER_03]: No, it's from the film festival.
[00:42:09] [SPEAKER_03]: And it was the it was the earlier evening showing.
[00:42:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I heard that.
[00:42:13] [SPEAKER_03]: And uh, through the entire movie.
[00:42:17] [SPEAKER_03]: So Kate, let's back this up a little bit.
[00:42:20] [SPEAKER_03]: In front of all movies now, what are they telling you?
[00:42:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Turn off, turn your damn cell phone off.
[00:42:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Right.
[00:42:26] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like they don't want.
[00:42:28] [SPEAKER_03]: They want people to go into movies with an experience
[00:42:31] [SPEAKER_03]: of everyone just shutting the fuck up.
[00:42:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[00:42:34] [SPEAKER_03]: But in this case, is it now okay?
[00:42:38] [SPEAKER_03]: It's it's apparently now okay that if you're in a adult themed movie
[00:42:42] [SPEAKER_03]: where people are actually to bring your baby and not just your baby,
[00:42:46] [SPEAKER_03]: but also a toddler with you.
[00:42:48] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, and make make make.
[00:42:49] [SPEAKER_03]: And then they scream and talk through the entire movie.
[00:42:53] [SPEAKER_03]: And I'm like, is it like, are we supposed to now just give people that bring
[00:42:58] [SPEAKER_03]: their children to adult movies of past?
[00:43:01] [SPEAKER_03]: To say, oh, you know, we don't want your damn cell phone on
[00:43:04] [SPEAKER_03]: and we don't want you talking, but it's okay if babies and children talk always.
[00:43:09] [SPEAKER_08]: How much is a syph screening now?
[00:43:11] [SPEAKER_08]: Like 17 bucks or something?
[00:43:12] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not.
[00:43:13] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not.
[00:43:14] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh yeah.
[00:43:15] [SPEAKER_08]: You're going to pay 17 bucks and then sit beside some screaming baby.
[00:43:19] [SPEAKER_08]: That's not cool.
[00:43:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, and it's like why someone from, I don't want to complain about volunteers
[00:43:26] [SPEAKER_03]: because they're volunteers.
[00:43:28] [SPEAKER_03]: But you know, if somebody was having their phone on the whole time,
[00:43:31] [SPEAKER_03]: they would have been talked to.
[00:43:32] [SPEAKER_03]: They would have been talked to.
[00:43:33] [SPEAKER_03]: So, people are now afraid to talk to people with bringing their jobs
[00:43:37] [SPEAKER_04]: on to volunteers.
[00:43:38] [SPEAKER_04]: I want to tell you which position it is, but their job is to monitor the screening.
[00:43:44] [SPEAKER_04]: I'll take you to one's reality.
[00:43:46] [SPEAKER_04]: And what was recording it?
[00:43:47] [SPEAKER_04]: How about people who need assistance?
[00:43:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Like if someone's over a hard stack or whatever.
[00:43:51] [SPEAKER_04]: And if somebody's being allowed to shut them up.
[00:43:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Yep.
[00:43:54] [SPEAKER_04]: That's there.
[00:43:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Except if it's a baby.
[00:43:55] [SPEAKER_08]: Certainly unless it's a baby, then you've got free ringing.
[00:43:59] [SPEAKER_03]: To do whatever you want.
[00:44:00] [SPEAKER_03]: But also who's, who in the right mind is going to go to a film festival and bring their child?
[00:44:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, I get it.
[00:44:06] [SPEAKER_03]: It's tough for people to find baby centers if you're single mom.
[00:44:09] [SPEAKER_03]: And you know what that's the film maker?
[00:44:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sorry, but it's not my problem.
[00:44:13] [SPEAKER_03]: It is your problem because it happened.
[00:44:16] [SPEAKER_03]: The whole movie.
[00:44:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Not just for part of the movie, Murray.
[00:44:19] [SPEAKER_03]: It was the whole movie.
[00:44:21] [SPEAKER_04]: So they never took the kid out.
[00:44:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, they told them about that's the other thing.
[00:44:25] [SPEAKER_08]: A periodically they would take the kid out, walk right by me.
[00:44:29] [SPEAKER_04]: And so he had the screening be a little bit.
[00:44:32] [SPEAKER_08]: Plus I had people walking by me constantly.
[00:44:36] [SPEAKER_08]: And they did, it's like, I just want to watch the movie.
[00:44:39] [SPEAKER_04]: I have an e-sit in the back row near the aisle.
[00:44:41] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, that's true.
[00:44:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Just don't put this on me, Murray man.
[00:44:45] [SPEAKER_04]: If he sat in the middle of a row, you wouldn't have that.
[00:44:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Apparently the whole, but if we would have sat on the other side of the theater.
[00:44:51] [SPEAKER_08]: We would have got a year full and that's like they were closer to that.
[00:44:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I would have got up and said, you know what?
[00:44:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Turn your damn kid off.
[00:44:59] [SPEAKER_03]: That's why I always said.
[00:44:59] [SPEAKER_03]: That's my rage this week.
[00:45:02] [SPEAKER_03]: People just have respect for other people.
[00:45:04] [SPEAKER_04]: Leave your kids at home.
[00:45:05] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right.
[00:45:07] [SPEAKER_08]: People, people, people.
[00:45:14] [SPEAKER_08]: At the risk of sounding really unoriginal.
[00:45:18] [SPEAKER_08]: Please leave your babies at home if you're going to the movies.
[00:45:21] [SPEAKER_08]: Unless it's a star's and stroll, stroller screening where it's acceptable to bring your baby.
[00:45:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, shift does not have any.
[00:45:28] [SPEAKER_08]: But otherwise it is not.
[00:45:31] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm sorry if you don't have anybody to take care of your kid.
[00:45:35] [SPEAKER_04]: That's usually what it is.
[00:45:36] [SPEAKER_04]: They don't want to pay for a babysitter.
[00:45:37] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, and I apologize for that.
[00:45:40] [SPEAKER_08]: But I'm sorry if you can afford the 17 bucks to go to a movie at the Calgary International Film Festival,
[00:45:45] [SPEAKER_08]: you can afford a babysitter.
[00:45:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, if you can't afford one then just don't go see the movie.
[00:45:50] [SPEAKER_03]: No, go.
[00:45:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Right? You can't control what your kids are going to do.
[00:45:53] [SPEAKER_08]: Did with, you know what?
[00:45:54] [SPEAKER_08]: I'm not a proponent of watching streaming but you know what?
[00:45:58] [SPEAKER_08]: If you got a screaming baby, I think yeah, kind of have to.
[00:46:01] [SPEAKER_04]: Yep, something you can actually pause would be there.
[00:46:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, exactly.
[00:46:04] [SPEAKER_08]: Because we can't pause the movie.
[00:46:06] [SPEAKER_08]: Well, you're babysitting them on while your baby screams, waiting for it to stop screaming and then playing pressing play again.
[00:46:13] [SPEAKER_08]: We can't do that.
[00:46:16] [SPEAKER_08]: So, we know we just won't.
[00:46:17] [SPEAKER_08]: It's really not fair to not just me to the 140 other people that were in that theater.
[00:46:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Yep.
[00:46:24] [SPEAKER_04]: There you go.
[00:46:26] [SPEAKER_04]: You guys got it.
[00:46:27] [SPEAKER_03]: That's it.
[00:46:28] [SPEAKER_03]: That's it.
[00:46:28] [SPEAKER_03]: You can be the babysitting.
[00:46:32] [SPEAKER_09]: Plus, so I think you're a good thing.
[00:46:37] [SPEAKER_03]: All right.
[00:46:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, hopefully everybody has enjoyed our first episode of our
[00:46:44] [SPEAKER_03]: SIF at the movies that would you all heard yesterday.
