Welcome back ragers to the best movie review podcast on the planet. The rage rolls on from the Film Rage Studio.

This week the Film Rage Crew had another busy week as they review five films again. They start with Stream, a horror film from the same team that brought us the Terrifier films. Then they review the directorial debut by Zoe Kravitz, Blink Twice. Next up, Strange Darling which if nothing else is beautifully shot. Then we have Between the Temples which stars Jason Schwartzman and the brilliant Carol Kane. And finally they watch Bill Skarsgard in The Crow.

[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Just like the one we're gonna talk about later tonight

[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Which must have played somewhere maybe even indigitally

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe

[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe indigitally

[00:01:29] [SPEAKER_02]: I'd like to see proof

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_05]: I'd like to see proof

[00:01:41] [SPEAKER_00]: Ooh, what the mayor is a member?

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_00]: What the mayor's a member?

[00:01:50] [SPEAKER_00]: What the mayor's a member?

[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_00]: No, I think it's all a shame

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Swim and race, we're married

[00:02:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Swim and race, we're married

[00:02:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Swim and race, we're married

[00:02:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, so you guys saw five movies this five

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Seems rather ambitious

[00:02:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I thought this team's out

[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_03]: I did not see five movies this week.

[00:02:39] [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, in order I've got stream

[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_03]: which look at the trailer was only one of the five I actually wouldn't have minded single look like it was fun

[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_03]: And it had Venus by trapping it on who says it's not fun.

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, who says it's not fun.

[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Corey, Slasher, cheesy type movie. I don't think Bryce wouldn't give it a monto.

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe a man.

[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I think Jim might have loved it.

[00:03:09] [SPEAKER_02]: It's not up my eye.

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if it is or not.

[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Then we got blink twice.

[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the channy datams.

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Chaytams.

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Jatams.

[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Now you watch this one.

[00:03:26] [SPEAKER_03]: I did.

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_02]: You watch it beside us so you should have some idea of what we...

[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe.

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_03]: I maybe heard a few people, a few parts where you laughed maybe.

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[00:03:36] [SPEAKER_03]: I think Jim just loves the Tatum so much.

[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Might have given it a moth.

[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_03]: You would know probably didn't deserve it.

[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I think Bryce probably raised about it.

[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_06]: I don't know.

[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, strange darling.

[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Which Bryce and I saw like three years ago.

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_02]: That was a long time ago.

[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_03]: And Jim saw this weekend.

[00:04:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_03]: It's...

[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_03]: In fact that they were shooting stuff out of order.

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't like much, but you guys might have better than me.

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a double math without one.

[00:04:13] [SPEAKER_00]: All right.

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Between the temples.

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_03]: A low lady getting a bad mits for which I don't know that even is a thing.

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_02]: It is.

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Apparently it is.

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I thought they had to be like 12 or 13.

[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_02]: Apparently they don't.

[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_03]: I care all cane is always funny.

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_03]: And you guys like that schwarzman guy.

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_03]: No, what the hell?

[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Double Mando.

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Double Mando.

[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_02]: That is, that is, that is bull.

[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_03]: That is bull.

[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_03]: That is bull.

[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Meryk.

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Bull.

[00:04:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Super bull.

[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_03]: And finally the crow.

[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Super bull.

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Ooh, the crow.

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_03]: The crow.

[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_03]: The crow.

[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_03]: It's so dark.

[00:04:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it's...

[00:04:55] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a double review.

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Brooding.

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's got the best scarier scarler.

[00:05:01] [SPEAKER_02]: But it's got...

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, cordially.

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_02]: It's got the best scarier scarler.

[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think that's enough to save it.

[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_02]: With these, doing these little, cloudy, emo thing.

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_03]: And as we bad tattoos.

[00:05:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Puh.

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_00]: I've never been more excited to talk about me.

[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_00]: We used this week, man.

[00:05:20] [SPEAKER_00]: There's just so much going on in this.

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_00]: All right.

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_05]: What you're telling us about stream?

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_05]: I am.

[00:05:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Which actually before you start, yes.

[00:05:31] [SPEAKER_05]: What I thought was really cool about this movie?

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Was that we got an intro from the production team?

[00:05:38] [SPEAKER_05]: And we got an outro from the production team?

[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_05]: Like on the screen?

[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, they came out and said, hey, there's a movie.

[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_02]: And then they cut off the one guy that was done.

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_02]: I was supposed to be funny.

[00:05:48] [SPEAKER_02]: You've been then they carried it forward to when they did the recap or the introducing other stuff they're doing later.

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_02]: After the video.

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:05:57] [SPEAKER_02]: And then, yeah, they did the same thing to him and it was hilarious.

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, hilarious.

[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_02]: That's not funny.

[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm stream.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_02]: So, yeah.

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a horror movie.

[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's a horror movie.

[00:06:10] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm a fish.

[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Here's what I remember.

[00:06:15] [SPEAKER_03]: When you weren't sleeping?

[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_02]: So there's a family and they go on vacation to like a hotel.

[00:06:23] [SPEAKER_02]: And at this hotel, there's no internet.

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_02]: I remember that.

[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.

[00:06:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Except there is internet, but there's not internet for the gas.

[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_05]: That's right.

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Now, were they actually streaming?

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_02]: So, apparently.

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_02]: So, at this, they got all these people there and I think that they unleash just a bunch of killers in the hotel

[00:06:41] [SPEAKER_02]: and their live streaming it.

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Is that what was going on?

[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_03]: I thought they were killing each other.

[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh, no?

[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_02]: No, no.

[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_02]: So, um, yeah, that's all I remember.

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_02]: So, I saw some of the gore.

[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_02]: I was fun.

[00:07:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Um, everything else I saw was utterly forgettable because I honestly don't know what I watched.

[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Now you're going to say that I slept through most of it.

[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_05]: No, I didn't say most.

[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Some of it.

[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[00:07:10] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, maybe I did.

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't remember sleeping through any of it.

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_05]: It's true.

[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_05]: You do have a brain injury.

[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_02]: But it was very, very boring.

[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Like I was, I wasn't like these are the same people that brought us terrifier.

[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Which was not boring.

[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_02]: No.

[00:07:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Terrifier 2, which was nowhere near as good but still wasn't boring.

[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_02]: No, it wasn't.

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_02]: This was boring.

[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Hmm.

[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_02]: But it had some, it, it still had some good practical effects in it, which I'm just anybody is going

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_02]: to put practical effects forward and do it right.

[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm all for, let's keep that flag flying.

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_02]: There is minimal CGI.

[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_02]: It was just such a,

[00:07:54] [SPEAKER_02]: a mess story.

[00:07:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, it is utterly, like, it's utterly forgettable this whole thing.

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_02]: And what was the reason was this just to get, like, viewers?

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Was this, I don't know why they were doing this.

[00:08:09] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, if you wanted to take the sign.

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Tell us why you, so I guess, you know what it was a rage.

[00:08:15] [SPEAKER_02]: I hate, I didn't like it.

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_02]: But I may have missed some key points.

[00:08:20] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know.

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_05]: So first off, you didn't miss any key points.

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, then it was a rage.

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, good.

[00:08:27] [SPEAKER_05]: So we have a family of four who gets caught in a hotel where they are put into a game called

[00:08:33] [SPEAKER_05]: stream where murderers are bet on somehow and get points and people bet and get money

[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_05]: on the people dying or some junk like that.

[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_05]: I know what I mean about.

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Because it was a, it's kind of, it's not really a hundred percent

[00:08:50] [SPEAKER_05]: clear exactly what the game is.

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_03]: It sounds like a rapist, but in a hotel instead of driving on the wall.

[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, well, it's, it's basically going to be a fight up depending on who you kill or

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_03]: you kill.

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_05]: But you know what?

[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_05]: We don't understand the points.

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_05]: We don't understand the money.

[00:09:03] [SPEAKER_05]: We just know that there's a giant pool of money at the end that one of the guys is like,

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm gonna take this money, but you're like, okay, so I thought it was all these people

[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_05]: watching that are part of the money.

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, there's nothing explained and there's nothing clear about it at all.

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Other than you know that there's a game that's happening that people are not

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_05]: knowing they're in the game.

[00:09:25] [SPEAKER_05]: And so it's, if they would have clearly defined, if we knew this,

[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_02]: I also didn't know that they were in the game.

[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_05]: But you could, you could, you can't miss that there's the game, so that might

[00:09:36] [SPEAKER_05]: have been a part you slept through, but it doesn't matter because it's,

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_02]: I think I slept a lot.

[00:09:42] [SPEAKER_05]: It really doesn't explain anything.

[00:09:45] [SPEAKER_05]: So that's where it's like, you know what?

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_05]: There's, there's something here about the game, but it's not clear.

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_05]: And you, you don't really understand, you know, what's happening for the most part.

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:09:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Acting in this is completely horrible.

[00:09:59] [SPEAKER_05]: It's saying that for the fabulous Jeffrey Combs.

[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, who was good.

[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Who was, although was he actually dabbing Coleman or John Cleese?

[00:10:11] [SPEAKER_02]: He looked like dabbing Coleman to me.

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_02]: He looked like John Cleese to you.

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:10:16] [SPEAKER_02]: If John Cleese and dabbing Coleman had like a kid together, let's see what it

[00:10:20] [SPEAKER_02]: is in this.

[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_05]: That's right.

[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_05]: This is the new, so whatever.

[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Whatever the new iteration of Jeffrey, we got, he didn't seem his regular self,

[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_05]: but damn he was still the king of the creep crash for old Jimbo here.

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_05]: The OG of all things motherfucking creepy.

[00:10:37] [SPEAKER_05]: No one is more creepy and is at the top of my creep crash list.

[00:10:43] [SPEAKER_05]: Then JC, what would JC do?

[00:10:46] [SPEAKER_05]: That's what I like to, if you want to get creepy, you got to go JC.

[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, Jeffrey Combs.

[00:10:53] [SPEAKER_02]: There's another JC out there that people ask me.

[00:10:56] [SPEAKER_02]: They say the same thing too.

[00:10:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Then Jeffrey Combs, more important than Jeffrey Combs?

[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, absolutely not a more important than Jeffrey Combs.

[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, good.

[00:11:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Just so we're clear.

[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_05]: JC, we needy.

[00:11:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, there's also JC, you see.

[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Who's also?

[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_05]: That's a lot of your important.

[00:11:13] [SPEAKER_05]: It's a pretty important.

[00:11:14] [SPEAKER_05]: So, plus we get a fun cameo from Tony Todd.

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_05]: We get a fantastic.

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_05]: I saw that.

[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_05]: A pair of inspired by D Wallace.

[00:11:26] [SPEAKER_05]: The film is not really original in any way, and the dialogue is terrible.

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_05]: All the victims say for Kevin, the little kid, are complete idiots.

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_05]: The Gorot Times is really, really good and hilarious.

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_05]: And other times it's just dumb and just hilariously bad.

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_05]: You can see some art to clown influences in some of the kills.

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I'm not sure if you remember seeing some of those.

[00:11:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Because the killers when they would be trying to kill people, they would be kind of doing

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_05]: some dances or do some art to clown looks.

[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_02]: How many kills were there?

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Because I saw maybe two.

[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_05]: There was probably.

[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, everybody, well, here's a spoiler.

[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm sure.

[00:12:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Everybody guys accept a couple of you.

[00:12:13] [SPEAKER_05]: I'll say a few.

[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_05]: So there was a bunch of killers, like four of those.

[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_05]: And then a bunch of people that were staying in the hotel.

[00:12:20] [SPEAKER_05]: I wouldn't say there's probably 10 to 12 kills.

[00:12:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I think I saw two, but I did see right after a lot of them because I'd hear your reaction

[00:12:29] [SPEAKER_02]: and I kind of wake up.

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_02]: And then I'm like, what are you reacting to?

[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Nothing's going on.

[00:12:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Because it already had happened.

[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_05]: So, all in all.

[00:12:41] [SPEAKER_02]: There you have.

[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I had fun watching it.

[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Not because this was a great film in any way.

[00:12:47] [SPEAKER_05]: Like this movie is terrible.

[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_05]: But because I laughed a lot at it and loved seeing JC back in his fabulousness.

[00:12:57] [SPEAKER_05]: This movie is a rage, but I still had fun.

[00:12:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I think this is a movie you should go see with people who can stay awake and laugh together

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_05]: at how bad the acting is.

[00:13:08] [SPEAKER_05]: It's kind of one of those ones, it's so bad it's good.

[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_02]: He must have woken me up about eight, nine times.

[00:13:13] [SPEAKER_02]: It was laughing.

[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_05]: No, it was there was some really funny stuff.

[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_05]: So I feel guilty giving an arranged because the mood, I don't know.

[00:13:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Is it arranged because I enjoyed it?

[00:13:23] [SPEAKER_05]: I mean, the movie itself is bad though.

[00:13:27] [SPEAKER_05]: But I had so much fun watching it.

[00:13:29] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think it's arranged.

[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, I'm going to give it a man.

[00:13:32] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to change it to a man because I did laugh a lot.

[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Like there was a lot of funny things there.

[00:13:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Mine's mostly a rage because you just kept on woken me up.

[00:13:44] [SPEAKER_04]: I've already seen five or four movies this week.

[00:13:48] [SPEAKER_02]: I got through the first 20 minutes like you wouldn't believe it.

[00:13:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh yeah, you were a solid, but first.

[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_05]: The first 20 minutes this was the worst 20 minutes in the movie.

[00:13:57] [SPEAKER_02]: And then I continue to just dose off and he kept on woken me up with you.

[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, the first 20 minutes are terrible.

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_05]: And the actors in this like they're truly terrible.

[00:14:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it's not.

[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_02]: It's not. It's the acting is awful.

[00:14:08] [SPEAKER_05]: Except for the like the stars that they have in it.

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_05]: The three that I listed.

[00:14:13] [SPEAKER_02]: D-wallis is always great.

[00:14:15] [SPEAKER_05]: D-wallis is fantastic in this Jeffrey J.C. is basically like J.C.

[00:14:21] [SPEAKER_05]: And Tony Todd even is in there for like three or five to 45 seconds.

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_05]: That's the best 45 seconds.

[00:14:29] [SPEAKER_02]: He's just in there right at the end.

[00:14:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, then I didn't miss any.

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's you got the full Tony Todd experience.

[00:14:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:14:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Nice. All right. Well, you know what?

[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_05]: I suggest if this is playing somewhere, people should get a bunch of friends together.

[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Get smoke some weed.

[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Do some drugs, shrumes or whatever you want to do to go and enjoy a funny, terrible, really bad,

[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_05]: but good bad film.

[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_02]: If it ends up on some streaming platform that I have,

[00:14:59] [SPEAKER_02]: I might check it out again because I'm not doing it justice.

[00:15:02] [SPEAKER_02]: I really there should be an asterisk by my rage.

[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, apparently I saw about five percent of this movie.

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, the here's the thing we've done this before.

[00:15:11] [SPEAKER_05]: From what you saw, you can only give it what you saw.

[00:15:14] [SPEAKER_05]: And then because I now also have to go back and update someone's that I fell asleep with

[00:15:20] [SPEAKER_05]: and I had given like Guillermo del Toro's last film because I finally went back and rewatch the whole movie.

[00:15:28] [SPEAKER_05]: And it is a Mando. So, no, not Pinocchio.

[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, this was the moment before that. What was the,

[00:15:36] [SPEAKER_02]: It was Bradley Cooper.

[00:15:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'm in here. Yeah, his brain's working.

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_05]: All right. Okay.

[00:15:43] [SPEAKER_02]: So, one you mean?

[00:15:43] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's the one.

[00:15:45] [SPEAKER_05]: It's not a Mando. So I got to go back and change that.

[00:15:47] [SPEAKER_05]: All right.

[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_03]: The one where you write, that's it.

[00:15:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Is that a normal?

[00:15:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember that.

[00:15:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah. Yeah.

[00:15:56] [SPEAKER_05]: There's it.

[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_05]: All right. So, blink twice.

[00:16:00] [SPEAKER_05]: So, so we craves.

[00:16:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Cravits.

[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Cudos with your debut directorial film.

[00:16:10] [SPEAKER_05]: With a red and white themed color palette contained in this well crafted suspense thriller

[00:16:15] [SPEAKER_05]: with one of the slowest burns from this genre that I've ever seen possibly ever seen.

[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_05]: It has a great cast of characters, so well put together and so well defined.

[00:16:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Where Gina Davis may have played the best character she has ever played.

[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_05]: And but there's more on that later.

[00:16:38] [SPEAKER_05]: The story is kind of in the vein of, say, Jordan Peels, get out.

[00:16:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah. And had you feeling that in this there is a bigger story here, but what ultimately is the question.

[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_05]: That is the question.

[00:16:55] [SPEAKER_05]: And as the story unfolds, the story just keeps getting further down a rabbit hole or maybe a red rabbit hole with little rabbit droppings all through the film.

[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Where unlike some stories with many Lord of the Ring endings, this only has a couple.

[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_05]: And when it ends, the ending to me was so satisfying.

[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Chatoms in this is fantastic as was our, as our swath, billionaire philanthropist who may or may not be an evil villain.

[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_05]: No Naomi Akki is also amazing as our heroine, but in fact everyone in this was amazing, especially and we'll talk about you know who.

[00:17:40] [SPEAKER_05]: But Maria Elena Olavaris who actually plays the character titled as her credit.

[00:17:49] [SPEAKER_05]: It her name is bad ass made nice.

[00:17:54] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes, that is her actual, that is her actual name in this movie.

[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Like if you're going to put someone like that and you're going to color bad ass made she every time she was on screen, I had a total.

[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_05]: I had a total, I had a total made bonus. She was amazing.

[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_05]: The last quarter this is so worth the wait as we went through with this slow slower burn.

[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_05]: At times I did feel that the story did need some prodding a bit but it did slump in the middle.

[00:18:25] [SPEAKER_05]: But throughout the film there is small moments of levity that for me it cracked me up through the entire dryness that's happening through the middle.

[00:18:34] [SPEAKER_05]: I was laughing at stuff that I didn't think you guys were seeing.

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_05]: I found it parts of this, it was like as it was getting drier and drier there would be little things that would put in it would make me laugh.

[00:18:46] [SPEAKER_05]: I was having a great time.

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_05]: Inclusive of this is because of the large cast of strong and well loved actors.

[00:18:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Not seen by many of us in films that we probably haven't seen in a while.

[00:18:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Like Aliyah Shakad playing chess, Simon Rex playing Cody, Hayley Jolazman,

[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_05]: playing Tom, Kyle McLaughlin, the Kyle McLaughlin also of the Creep Crash fam as rich.

[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_05]: But still not quite as great as what we got from Gina Davis as every single time she puts her toe onto the screen.

[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_05]: She steals it from whoever she is and is basically no one has left in her wake.

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_05]: She made me either laugh or cringe or want to scream, let's fucking go through this whole movie.

[00:19:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh yeah and then there was also Christian Slater doing his typical Christian Slater actor stereotype A or maybe it's B.

[00:19:47] [SPEAKER_05]: He really only has two things he can do in any movie anyway but in this for whatever reason I didn't mind it because he really isn't that much of a main character.

[00:19:56] [SPEAKER_05]: I was connected to our lead in this from the beginning which I felt helped me to stick with her through the entire film.

[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_05]: I loved how this all plays out and it really is a raw, raw ladies who eventually kick ass and punch sticks or potentially stabbed sticks.

[00:20:16] [SPEAKER_05]: I loved the ending. I loved the characters. I loved this film. It was Mando. I freaking loved this movie.

[00:20:23] [SPEAKER_05]: This was made for me and me alone maybe.

[00:20:25] [SPEAKER_03]: Maybe.

[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Right.

[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Next I guess that'd be me.

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_02]: All right go for it.

[00:20:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah the first thing I noticed about this film was the costume and set design choices.

[00:20:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:20:37] [SPEAKER_03]: It's dimension. Since it's usually the last thing I noticed that probably wasn't a good thing.

[00:20:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Red and white, red and white everywhere.

[00:20:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes!

[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_03]: As somebody who lives in a city where all of the major sports teams are colored red and white.

[00:20:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes!

[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_03]: It gets old fast.

[00:20:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Never.

[00:20:57] [SPEAKER_03]: In this movie everybody wears white all the time.

[00:21:01] [SPEAKER_05]: It's a white party, Murray.

[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_03]: There's an all white room at the museum with red tables.

[00:21:08] [SPEAKER_03]: The mansion is all red. All the drinks have raspberries in them.

[00:21:12] [SPEAKER_03]: You get the point.

[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Guess what else is red?

[00:21:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Fake blood.

[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Which there was a lot of near the end.

[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_03]: All of our all those white clothes.

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_03]: Aside from the Tatums, supporting cast was outstanding.

[00:21:30] [SPEAKER_03]: Gina Davis, Haley Joaism, Christian Slater, Kamiglachlan and another one's a convention.

[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Every one of these quirky characters was fun to watch.

[00:21:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Some of the younger party members were annoying so it was no big loss when they eventually died.

[00:21:47] [SPEAKER_03]: For me the first 30 minutes and last 20 minutes of the film were decent, especially some of the creative kills and bloody carnage.

[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_03]: As with most films it dragged in the middle and became a little predictable.

[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_03]: To miss Cravitz's credit, the story definitely took a dark and disturbing twist.

[00:22:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Not to make it great, but a decent man.

[00:22:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Alright.

[00:22:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah it was me.

[00:22:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Here's why it was me.

[00:22:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Alright.

[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Because I didn't understand some stuff.

[00:22:22] [SPEAKER_05]: That's awesome.

[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_05]: That's why I literally just found us.

[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm just trying to figure out how, and I don't want to dish out spoilers but apparently stuff has happened repeatedly in this movie.

[00:22:34] [SPEAKER_02]: And when these people go back to the regular lives,

[00:22:38] [SPEAKER_02]: how do they not know that something is happening?

[00:22:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Whether it's interaction with people that are like, why have you been gone so long?

[00:22:44] [SPEAKER_02]: Or what?

[00:22:45] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't understand how that is a thing.

[00:22:48] [SPEAKER_02]: I also don't understand the science between behind snake venom.

[00:22:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Just to absolutely bring you out of whatever this other is right.

[00:22:57] [SPEAKER_05]: It was a specific kind of snake that only lives on that island.

[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah I got that.

[00:23:01] [SPEAKER_05]: They told us that.

[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah I understand that.

[00:23:03] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't buy the science.

[00:23:06] [SPEAKER_02]: And I always had even a barrier.

[00:23:08] [SPEAKER_05]: It's like, it's like a science fiction horror movie.

[00:23:11] [SPEAKER_05]: It's like, I don't believe that aliens exist to save the life.

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh maybe that's why you don't like aliens.

[00:23:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Probably.

[00:23:18] [SPEAKER_03]: It's the same science where they spray perfume on you and you forget.

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:23:21] [SPEAKER_02]: It's the same science.

[00:23:24] [SPEAKER_02]: But it's, and maybe that's it.

[00:23:25] [SPEAKER_02]: Like the silliness of that because it seems to be, you know, taking itself seriously.

[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_02]: It is.

[00:23:35] [SPEAKER_02]: But it's set up as so silly.

[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_02]: So I don't know.

[00:23:41] [SPEAKER_02]: It was, it wasn't terrible.

[00:23:43] [SPEAKER_02]: But yeah I just, it was math.

[00:23:47] [SPEAKER_02]: There were some stuff that was funny.

[00:23:49] [SPEAKER_02]: There was some stuff.

[00:23:50] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm not sure how much of a,

[00:23:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Come on you've got to talk about Gina Davis though.

[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh Gina Davis was very good in it.

[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:24:00] [SPEAKER_05]: What are you talking about?

[00:24:02] [SPEAKER_05]: She was the best Gina Davis's ever been.

[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Really?

[00:24:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Like tell me a movie where Gina Davis stepped on screen,

[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_05]: No matter who she's up against and when any went.

[00:24:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Because if she's more mesmerizing than Jeff Goldblum,

[00:24:17] [SPEAKER_05]: then there's a whole story around that.

[00:24:20] [SPEAKER_05]: But let's talk about the fact like,

[00:24:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Not that I don't like Gina Davis.

[00:24:24] [SPEAKER_05]: I like Gina Davis.

[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_05]: I never seen a movie with her in it.

[00:24:29] [SPEAKER_05]: And she's not like one of the major stars.

[00:24:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Every time she came on screen,

[00:24:33] [SPEAKER_05]: I could not look away.

[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Everything she was doing in the background,

[00:24:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Everything she was doing.

[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_05]: That's what she was doing.

[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Well that's actually where she excelled is when she was actually not in the foreground.

[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_02]: She's saying anything just her in the background.

[00:24:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Here's, and this is an example of a movie where

[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_02]: And probably took Zoe Cravitz's credit.

[00:24:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Everybody was all in on this.

[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Even the people like we watched a movie recently

[00:24:59] [SPEAKER_02]: where the people in the background,

[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_02]: you could see them rolling their eyes

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_02]: That the badlands were.

[00:25:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, borderlands.

[00:25:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, where they're like,

[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_02]: What am I doing in this movie?

[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_02]: You could see the looks on their faces in the background

[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Whether when they're not having,

[00:25:14] [SPEAKER_02]: When they don't have a line,

[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_02]: They're just like, what am I doing here?

[00:25:17] [SPEAKER_02]: In this one, everybody was all in on this.

[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Especially Gina Davis.

[00:25:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Who if you just sat there and watched her

[00:25:23] [SPEAKER_02]: And just didn't even focus on anything that was being said,

[00:25:27] [SPEAKER_02]: Just watch what she's doing behind them.

[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_05]: Sometimes the price of it is still good to see an eye max.

[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_02]: But it's still just a man.

[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I just like, I loved it.

[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_05]: I loved it. I loved the science.

[00:25:39] [SPEAKER_05]: I loved the ending.

[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_05]: I loved the ending.

[00:25:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Perfect.

[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_05]: I thought the, I love it when snakes can do stuff.

[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_05]: Snakes are cool.

[00:25:49] [SPEAKER_05]: And you never know what's in it.

[00:25:50] [SPEAKER_05]: What's in this story?

[00:25:51] [SPEAKER_05]: I didn't even make it.

[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I was doing it.

[00:25:53] [SPEAKER_02]: I was like, I'm sorry, snake venom's not bringing you out.

[00:25:55] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know whatever that was.

[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_05]: There's, there's a lot of snakes that you have never been bitten by,

[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_05]: so you don't know.

[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, it's never been to that island.

[00:26:07] [SPEAKER_05]: I've never been to that island.

[00:26:09] [SPEAKER_05]: That's right.

[00:26:09] [SPEAKER_03]: I have you.

[00:26:11] [SPEAKER_05]: It is.

[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.

[00:26:14] [SPEAKER_05]: What a privilege.

[00:26:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Just saying,

[00:26:17] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know what you're talking about.

[00:26:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Probably not.

[00:26:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, there's a lot of rapiness in this movie.

[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_05]: There is.

[00:26:24] [SPEAKER_05]: A lot of rapies.

[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Which makes the ladies who kick ass and punch sticks and stab sticks.

[00:26:33] [SPEAKER_05]: And even more rewarding at the end, which, again, it took a really dark turn.

[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, this started off a nice friendly weekend of people partying and stuff.

[00:26:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And like, oh, I did surprise.

[00:26:44] [SPEAKER_05]: This isn't a happy movie.

[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_02]: You know what the other problem I had?

[00:26:51] [SPEAKER_05]: All right, let's have it.

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Is I didn't buy the friendship.

[00:26:55] [SPEAKER_02]: I just wanted to be between the two that ended up.

[00:26:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, yeah.

[00:26:58] [SPEAKER_02]: The fight too.

[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:26:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, the final two?

[00:27:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:27:01] [SPEAKER_05]: That was a bit of a quick.

[00:27:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Survival.

[00:27:03] [SPEAKER_02]: That was a quick, like they were just like they became very tight, very quick.

[00:27:08] [SPEAKER_02]: But they were for two that were like not like any other at all.

[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_05]: But you know what that's that's also.

[00:27:14] [SPEAKER_02]: I guess, but what's going to unite you more than what they went through?

[00:27:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Then you find out you're being molested by a bunch of creepy you did.

[00:27:21] [SPEAKER_02]: I still there's just, I don't know.

[00:27:23] [SPEAKER_02]: I just, okay.

[00:27:24] [SPEAKER_02]: I love it.

[00:27:26] [SPEAKER_02]: All right.

[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, what do we talk about strange darling?

[00:27:30] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

[00:27:31] [SPEAKER_05]: You are.

[00:27:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, man.

[00:27:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:27:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, Jim was off on his VKK.

[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Brace and I went to a special cuffs screening for our pass holders and staff and etc.

[00:27:45] [SPEAKER_03]: And it was strange darling, which opened later that week.

[00:27:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Also, same theater.

[00:27:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was interesting movie.

[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_03]: Basically, well, according to this, nothing is what it seems when it twisted one nightstands,

[00:28:00] [SPEAKER_03]: spirals into a serial killer's vicious murder spray.

[00:28:05] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know if that really describes it.

[00:28:07] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, there's two main people in this.

[00:28:10] [SPEAKER_03]: You don't know which ones the killer because they're both creepy as hell.

[00:28:14] [SPEAKER_03]: And they had these weird sex games in the hotel.

[00:28:16] [SPEAKER_03]: They tied each other up and they do just terrible things to which stuff.

[00:28:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I was very uncomfortable with that whole thing.

[00:28:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And yeah, I also did prove.

[00:28:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I also didn't like the whole telling the story out of order.

[00:28:34] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like, you know, they have like what six or seven chapters and they start with what can chapter two and they go to chapter six and

[00:28:41] [SPEAKER_03]: You turn back to chapter one.

[00:28:42] [SPEAKER_03]: And then you're three whatever.

[00:28:44] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but they don't go on like I don't like non-linear stuff.

[00:28:48] [SPEAKER_03]: That's true.

[00:28:49] [SPEAKER_03]: You don't like non-linear at all.

[00:28:53] [SPEAKER_03]: It makes sense for the movie.

[00:28:54] [SPEAKER_03]: Like I didn't know what that was going on.

[00:28:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, said that.

[00:28:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I didn't I didn't mind the ending where are you trying to discover what you know, which one of them actually is.

[00:29:03] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, I mean, they don't even have real names.

[00:29:06] [SPEAKER_03]: They have names in the movie.

[00:29:07] [SPEAKER_03]: But on the list of the cast, one is called the lady.

[00:29:11] [SPEAKER_03]: The other one's called the demon.

[00:29:13] [SPEAKER_03]: It doesn't even give him a name.

[00:29:14] [SPEAKER_03]: But he's got one in the movie, but anyway.

[00:29:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I don't know.

[00:29:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was okay.

[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it was a cuff thing so not all there's stuff.

[00:29:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, most people that went to with us, they really enjoyed it.

[00:29:29] [SPEAKER_03]: I wasn't one of them, but it was okay.

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, it was a man.

[00:29:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Right.

[00:29:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[00:29:42] [SPEAKER_02]: I agree with Murray.

[00:29:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Really?

[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_05]: That he's a chatty cat.

[00:29:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Here's the thing with you, the stuff.

[00:29:49] [SPEAKER_02]: There's just some silly stuff.

[00:29:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Like really that whole shot in 35, it was shot in 35 millimeter, which looks amazing.

[00:29:56] [SPEAKER_02]: And it was shot by Giovanni RBC is a director of photography.

[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_02]: And he should absolutely be commanded.

[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, although the fact that it opens up with a title card that tells you that it was shot in 35 millimeter was kind of like super lame.

[00:30:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Like can you not let the movie speak for itself?

[00:30:14] [SPEAKER_02]: You have to go, oh, by the way, just notice how beautiful this movie is going to be because we shot it on 35 millimeter.

[00:30:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Just piss off.

[00:30:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Like I don't need you to sit there and spoon feed me crap.

[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, but that's us.

[00:30:26] [SPEAKER_05]: But we would have known that, but other people don't.

[00:30:30] [SPEAKER_02]: So the blood, the stunts, the chasing, which I hate chasing, but it was, it all looked so damn good.

[00:30:39] [SPEAKER_02]: And that's all Giovanni RBC will have it's Gerald is quite convincing as both Hunter and Pray.

[00:30:47] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a movie that felt it was much more clever than it actually was.

[00:30:54] [SPEAKER_05]: All right.

[00:30:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:30:56] [SPEAKER_05]: So I'm going to maybe repeat a little bit of what you guys said stylistically this film is shot brilliantly.

[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_05]: True.

[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_05]: As, which neither one of you said as is the music in this music is actually really good.

[00:31:11] [SPEAKER_05]: Are driven by a score that is jarring and original and at a volume that is driving the story like a race car.

[00:31:22] [SPEAKER_05]: There is scenes in this that the music is actually making this scene.

[00:31:27] [SPEAKER_05]: The pretend true story comes as it's tough to tell a true story that isn't a true story.

[00:31:38] [SPEAKER_05]: It's even tough to tell a true story that is a true story.

[00:31:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Less than text is chainsaw mask.

[00:31:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.

[00:31:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, exactly. The original.

[00:31:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:31:46] [SPEAKER_05]: This is not talk about the rest.

[00:31:48] [SPEAKER_05]: No.

[00:31:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:31:51] [SPEAKER_02]: I do like watching Justin.

[00:31:52] [SPEAKER_02]: I feel walk across that field.

[00:31:54] [SPEAKER_02]: That was good.

[00:31:55] [SPEAKER_02]: That was good.

[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Sorry.

[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Sorry.

[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_05]: What were we talking about?

[00:32:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, yeah.

[00:32:01] [SPEAKER_05]: We're talking about strange darling.

[00:32:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:32:06] [SPEAKER_05]: Mostly especially for this because everyone that the killer comes in contact with is dead by the time we get to the end.

[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_05]: So here's, I'm going to give some spoilers in this.

[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

[00:32:15] [SPEAKER_05]: It's been out for a week already.

[00:32:18] [SPEAKER_05]: So if you haven't seen it, go watch it.

[00:32:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Then come back and listen to this section of our podcast.

[00:32:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:32:27] [SPEAKER_05]: So if this is a true story, which makes the lie even more unbelievable as the story unfolds.

[00:32:36] [SPEAKER_05]: And this is part of the Robin in this one.

[00:32:39] [SPEAKER_05]: It takes place in six chapters.

[00:32:42] [SPEAKER_05]: And we start in the middle of the tale, which helps to build the mystery they are telling.

[00:32:47] [SPEAKER_05]: And the director does a good job keeping us engaged through most of the chapters.

[00:32:53] [SPEAKER_05]: The issue for me was as the quote unquote secret starts getting revealed.

[00:33:00] [SPEAKER_05]: The chapters where they are revealed seem not as intense or real or believable.

[00:33:07] [SPEAKER_05]: And then like most stories where people die with police involvement, especially how the police are brought in does not again fit to how things I feel would actually have happened.

[00:33:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Like it's just they actually bring it out in one of the scenes where the one the one cop is like she's a victim here potentially victim and everyone's got we don't know if she's a victim yet.

[00:33:34] [SPEAKER_05]: So instead of still doing some of the things that they should be doing to make sure that either way you can still take her to the hospital but also do the things a cop would do because the one cop wasn't an idiot, but it hands up looking like an idiot.

[00:33:51] [SPEAKER_05]: So yeah those things kind of took me away from the film which often does you know the reality of a movie that's supposed to be true.

[00:33:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Because especially if it's a true story and they say well we interviewed people well who did you fuck an interview because everybody's dead.

[00:34:06] [SPEAKER_05]: So there's no way you could put the movie together based on this when you there's nobody left alive to interview to get you the story that you just created so it's like I just like the secret that you're letting us in on so yeah.

[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_05]: I think if they could have fixed like chapter one and chapter two.

[00:34:26] [SPEAKER_05]: I think if they could have fixed those two because I felt that's for me was when they got to chapter one and chapter two the feel of this movie I love the field this movie like and I think if it stayed with its pedal to the metal through the entire movie and then didn't suck us into the chapter one and two.

[00:34:43] [SPEAKER_05]: I think this could have been a super super monto but alas even with a perfect ending which and a perfect beginning I thought the beginning and ending bookmarked it really well.

[00:34:54] [SPEAKER_05]: I just got it to a map too so I guess that's three ma.

[00:34:59] [SPEAKER_05]: Perfect.

[00:35:03] [SPEAKER_05]: We have to impad the music though like the music in this was so good yeah.

[00:35:13] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh no it takes place in 2016 yeah yeah that was 2019.

[00:35:23] [SPEAKER_05]: It's it's recent yeah it's recent yeah it takes place recent that's pretty sure that's what yeah I like I the score I we should have actually looked up who did the score in this but definitely this is a great score.

[00:35:39] [SPEAKER_05]: And and the scene near the end where it slowly fades to great tones not sure if you picked that up.

[00:35:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah yeah that was brilliant I thought that was a waked through this whole thing jam.

[00:35:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay I wasn't there with you so I was sure you missed the end because.

[00:35:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh he didn't miss any food.

[00:36:00] [SPEAKER_03]: How good friend.

[00:36:03] [SPEAKER_03]: Put on the movie yeah said to the audience stay for the end there's this short film at the end so we did we sat through all the credits while plus a game right on.

[00:36:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah I wish I didn't.

[00:36:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not sure right after the credits and it's okay.

[00:36:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Alright when the credits were done this movie came up and it had top gun soundtrack.

[00:36:26] [SPEAKER_03]: And a guy in the motorbike and I was just talking to three.

[00:36:30] [SPEAKER_03]: No it was eight marriage proposal from a guy who was in the audience so guy I don't recognize that's awesome.

[00:36:38] [SPEAKER_03]: The proposing to his girlfriend who was in the audience also they proposed at the event by this video that's a file of this video.

[00:36:45] [SPEAKER_02]: It was like a movie trailer.

[00:36:47] [SPEAKER_05]: It's kind of too bad.

[00:36:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah yeah.

[00:36:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Were you marry me?

[00:36:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah that was out the movie so yeah.

[00:36:53] [SPEAKER_02]: So then I threw up a little in my mouth and we laughed.

[00:36:58] [SPEAKER_05]: What happens if she would have snuck out early?

[00:37:00] [SPEAKER_03]: That would have been unfortunate if she wasn't the bathroom or something.

[00:37:03] [SPEAKER_02]: What it had been?

[00:37:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe for him.

[00:37:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes that was actually treated with a waga.

[00:37:09] [SPEAKER_05]: That's awesome.

[00:37:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay can we also talk about Ed Bagley Jr.

[00:37:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Like the couple and the breakfast can we talk about their breakfast.

[00:37:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh they're breakfast.

[00:37:20] [SPEAKER_05]: They're breakfast was awesome.

[00:37:22] [SPEAKER_05]: It's a best scene.

[00:37:24] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm so good.

[00:37:26] [SPEAKER_05]: They're so good.

[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_05]: There are scenes in this that are so, so, so, so well done.

[00:37:30] [SPEAKER_02]: There is a lot of stuff that was a lot of fun.

[00:37:32] [SPEAKER_03]: There is it was so much fun.

[00:37:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Like fun parts were fun.

[00:37:36] [SPEAKER_03]: It was just the dark stuff I didn't enjoy at all.

[00:37:38] [SPEAKER_02]: The dark stuff was fine.

[00:37:39] [SPEAKER_02]: It just was, I don't know.

[00:37:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Like it was obvious to me getting both of these people were very twisted.

[00:37:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah I guess the race to see which one was even more of that.

[00:37:49] [SPEAKER_05]: I didn't find anything that twisted and he was just wanting to get laid in there.

[00:37:53] [SPEAKER_05]: They kind of brought that up.

[00:37:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah she was she was she was steering the ship as far as that's the.

[00:37:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh yeah she was she was teasing him along.

[00:38:01] [SPEAKER_05]: The the thing that's that maybe I didn't do a good enough job pointing it out.

[00:38:07] [SPEAKER_05]: But don't try and make this out to be a true story.

[00:38:11] [SPEAKER_05]: Like don't make it a Blair Witch type thing that's like,

[00:38:14] [SPEAKER_05]: This is like a, you know, paranormal activity Blair which find the,

[00:38:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Like just make the movie because if he just made the movie and said I wrote this movie

[00:38:23] [SPEAKER_05]: And don't try to pretend it's true story, it wouldn't have taken me out as much I think.

[00:38:28] [SPEAKER_02]: And don't put up a stupid title card that says how beautiful your movie looks before you show your movie.

[00:38:34] [SPEAKER_02]: You're ridiculous.

[00:38:37] [SPEAKER_00]: But the movie was beautiful.

[00:38:39] [SPEAKER_02]: It was beautiful.

[00:38:40] [SPEAKER_02]: It looked awesome but I didn't need that.

[00:38:44] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean this Ruby sees just a noise.

[00:38:47] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, it didn't know I need to make you rage so he know what this is a movie

[00:38:50] [SPEAKER_05]: People should see in theaters because it's a beautifully shot film.

[00:38:54] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah it's it truly is.

[00:38:58] [SPEAKER_05]: All right, you're up.

[00:39:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Talking about some Jewish people.

[00:39:03] [SPEAKER_02]: All right.

[00:39:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Mmm, sorry what was it?

[00:39:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Caral cane?

[00:39:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, it tastes smart to me.

[00:39:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Between the temples.

[00:39:13] [SPEAKER_02]: The story of Ben, a canter who is having a bit of a crisis of faith

[00:39:18] [SPEAKER_02]: as he mourns the passing of his wife and contemplates his desire to live.

[00:39:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Wow that's a downer.

[00:39:26] [SPEAKER_02]: He has moved back in with his two mothers played by Carolyn Aaron and Dahlia Dilion.

[00:39:33] [SPEAKER_02]: We see how bad things have gotten for our young Ben.

[00:39:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Not that young I guess from the start of the film as he lies down in the street

[00:39:43] [SPEAKER_02]: and when an 18 wheeler stops just short of ending him,

[00:39:47] [SPEAKER_02]: he begs him to keep going.

[00:39:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Alas the truck driver does not keep going.

[00:39:53] [SPEAKER_02]: So then we got to a little longer film than we would have had.

[00:39:56] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah thank God.

[00:39:58] [SPEAKER_02]: And instead drops Ben off at a dive bar here he encountered Caralacastler

[00:40:03] [SPEAKER_02]: a friendly face from his past his grade school music teacher.

[00:40:10] [SPEAKER_02]: From here after talking with Ben Caralacides to revisit her Jewish roots

[00:40:14] [SPEAKER_02]: that she is abandoned for many years as her parents were Russian communists

[00:40:18] [SPEAKER_02]: and later her husband who had recently died was a Protestant.

[00:40:23] [SPEAKER_02]: So in short Caralacides it is about time that she has her Bob Mitzfa

[00:40:28] [SPEAKER_02]: which she had been denied until now.

[00:40:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Ben tells Caralacno when he asked to give her what her well overdue bomb

[00:40:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Mitzfa but quickly sees that Caralac is someone that does not take no foreign answer.

[00:40:45] [SPEAKER_02]: So the lessons begin in preparation for her bomb

[00:40:47] [SPEAKER_02]: are the same as the old man who was born in the middle of the war.

[00:40:48] [SPEAKER_02]: And the relationship grows along the way we meet the rabbi of the synagogue played by Robert

[00:40:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Smigel who is perfectly cast.

[00:40:56] [SPEAKER_02]: I can't say enough that Robert Smigel is brilliant in this.

[00:41:01] [SPEAKER_02]: We also meet his daughter in the film played by Madeline Weinstein

[00:41:06] [SPEAKER_02]: who has more than a passing fan see for Ben.

[00:41:09] [SPEAKER_02]: The film climaxes with a dinner party that is equal part achingly awkward

[00:41:15] [SPEAKER_02]: and achingly funny at the same time.

[00:41:18] [SPEAKER_02]: This is a beautiful story, it is a beautifully acted movie

[00:41:22] [SPEAKER_02]: and it is beautifully shot between the temples is Mando.

[00:41:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay so I'm going to obviously repeat a couple of things.

[00:41:32] [SPEAKER_05]: I retired music teacher who wants to finally have her Batmitzfa

[00:41:36] [SPEAKER_05]: cause her original 13th birthday her gift was her period.

[00:41:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Who meets a suicidal morning canter who lost his will

[00:41:48] [SPEAKER_05]: or ability to sing and also to live.

[00:41:52] [SPEAKER_05]: These two unwitting people lead this cast of exceptional Jewish actors

[00:42:00] [SPEAKER_05]: in one of the funnest and funniest rom-coms that pokes fun at religion

[00:42:05] [SPEAKER_05]: and yet at the same time also holds the Jewish religion

[00:42:08] [SPEAKER_05]: at the heart of this story in a very respectful way.

[00:42:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Carol Kane and Jason Swartzman are both hilarious

[00:42:15] [SPEAKER_05]: and brilliant through this entire film.

[00:42:19] [SPEAKER_05]: And although it's got a bit of a Harold and Maud type love story

[00:42:23] [SPEAKER_05]: but not really.

[00:42:24] [SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't, it doesn't.

[00:42:25] [SPEAKER_05]: It's almost like past lives though right?

[00:42:28] [SPEAKER_02]: It's kind of like past lives though you mentioned it.

[00:42:33] [SPEAKER_05]: But where in some movies with big age differences

[00:42:37] [SPEAKER_05]: it can come off kind of creepy.

[00:42:39] [SPEAKER_05]: In this you grow to love these two unwitting love birds

[00:42:43] [SPEAKER_05]: and embrace not only their love but also this film which is full of heart

[00:42:48] [SPEAKER_05]: and humor and a ton of Jewishness.

[00:42:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I freaking loved this movie.

[00:42:53] [SPEAKER_05]: It's so Jewish like super Jewish if anything.

[00:42:57] [SPEAKER_02]: I want to be Jewish now.

[00:42:58] [SPEAKER_05]: I want my Bob Mitzfa.

[00:43:00] [SPEAKER_05]: You're not going to get a batmitzfa.

[00:43:02] [SPEAKER_05]: You're going to get a barmitzfa.

[00:43:06] [SPEAKER_02]: What's that?

[00:43:07] [SPEAKER_05]: You had this accent going on.

[00:43:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Batm Bar was the same pronunciation to you.

[00:43:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Batmitzfa.

[00:43:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Batmitzfa.

[00:43:16] [SPEAKER_05]: And Bar Mitzfa.

[00:43:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah that's better.

[00:43:18] [SPEAKER_02]: I would say batmitzfa in my review and then I'd say

[00:43:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Ballman.

[00:43:23] [SPEAKER_05]: You're kind of just blurring it together with your mental illness.

[00:43:28] [SPEAKER_05]: It's like you couldn't pronounce that way.

[00:43:29] [SPEAKER_05]: But that means there's, anyway this is a Mando.

[00:43:32] [SPEAKER_05]: I freaking loved this movie.

[00:43:34] [SPEAKER_05]: That's a double Mando there for you Murray.

[00:43:36] [SPEAKER_05]: By the way.

[00:43:42] [SPEAKER_05]: And I have a couple things to impact.

[00:43:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Number one, the rabbi as you mentioned and his wife.

[00:43:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Like he was just just rabbi who could be bought by everybody.

[00:43:53] [SPEAKER_05]: And his wife who's like, oh, that's never seen a rabbi say Jesus Christ.

[00:43:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Yes, always talk him.

[00:44:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Jesus Christ.

[00:44:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Jesus Christ.

[00:44:03] [SPEAKER_05]: It was so funny when he said it.

[00:44:06] [SPEAKER_05]: And his two moms like Jason Swordsman's mom with the one

[00:44:09] [SPEAKER_05]: that's like the most Jewish mom, like the stereotypical Jewish mom from a movie

[00:44:14] [SPEAKER_05]: you could ever see.

[00:44:15] [SPEAKER_05]: And then his Malaysian other mom who is like, she's like more

[00:44:22] [SPEAKER_05]: super Jewish than the rest of the family because you converted

[00:44:25] [SPEAKER_05]: when they got married.

[00:44:27] [SPEAKER_05]: It's just and then Gabby of course which, like, and Carol Kay.

[00:44:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Carol Kayne is just incredible.

[00:44:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, excuse me.

[00:44:40] [SPEAKER_05]: We may have to have a list episode on this episode which I didn't process

[00:44:47] [SPEAKER_05]: because she was outstanding in this.

[00:44:50] [SPEAKER_05]: And now that I've come to think of it, I think Carol Kayne may be mesmerizing.

[00:44:54] [SPEAKER_05]: So guess what we may be talking about later.

[00:44:57] [SPEAKER_02]: All right.

[00:44:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to do a movie you're probably going to agree on.

[00:45:00] [SPEAKER_05]: What's that?

[00:45:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Do you bring it up then I'll bring it up?

[00:45:04] [SPEAKER_05]: No.

[00:45:05] [SPEAKER_05]: Like he didn't think she was mesmerizing in it?

[00:45:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, no.

[00:45:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I loved her in it.

[00:45:08] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:45:08] [SPEAKER_05]: Well there you go.

[00:45:09] [SPEAKER_02]: We're talking about mesmerizing.

[00:45:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I'm pretty sure you two are.

[00:45:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah.

[00:45:13] [SPEAKER_02]: That doesn't want to get married.

[00:45:16] [SPEAKER_02]: There's no bearing on the mesmerizing list.

[00:45:18] [SPEAKER_02]: How was she in the movie?

[00:45:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Was she mesmerizing?

[00:45:21] [SPEAKER_02]: How was the movie?

[00:45:23] [SPEAKER_02]: They're two different things.

[00:45:25] [SPEAKER_05]: What are things she's undoubted?

[00:45:27] [SPEAKER_05]: We're saying that she's potentially mesmerizing.

[00:45:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, we don't know yet.

[00:45:29] [SPEAKER_02]: We'll see.

[00:45:30] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, we'll see.

[00:45:32] [SPEAKER_05]: All right.

[00:45:32] [SPEAKER_05]: So the last film that we saw in cinemas.

[00:45:37] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[00:45:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Was the crow?

[00:45:39] Buh-guh!

[00:45:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Buh-guh!

[00:45:41] [SPEAKER_05]: So I went back of course.

[00:45:43] [SPEAKER_05]: I really watched the original crow.

[00:45:45] [SPEAKER_05]: Buh-guh!

[00:45:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, because with his rights.

[00:45:50] [SPEAKER_05]: So, you know, this may be a popular thing to say because apparently everybody on social media

[00:45:57] [SPEAKER_05]: and in the universe even one of our favorite directors who I will not tell talk about on this podcast

[00:46:04] [SPEAKER_05]: loves the original crow.

[00:46:06] [SPEAKER_05]: In rewatching it, that movie is all style and soundtrack.

[00:46:12] [SPEAKER_05]: But the story itself is just jointed.

[00:46:15] [SPEAKER_05]: The story makes no sense.

[00:46:17] [SPEAKER_05]: It's simple and not interesting whatsoever.

[00:46:20] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know if I'd get it all the way to a rage but I did not fully enjoy watching

[00:46:26] [SPEAKER_05]: rewatching the crow, the original.

[00:46:29] [SPEAKER_05]: So I just want to put that out there.

[00:46:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Do we know that?

[00:46:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, what's your thoughts on the original crow that you remember?

[00:46:35] [SPEAKER_02]: I remember it being awful.

[00:46:37] [SPEAKER_03]: So, so I remember the idea that the actor did I remember it.

[00:46:40] [SPEAKER_03]: I remember it.

[00:46:41] [SPEAKER_02]: I remember it.

[00:46:41] [SPEAKER_02]: I remember hating it but I also saw it when I was probably, I don't know whenever it came out.

[00:46:47] [SPEAKER_02]: When ever came out, yeah.

[00:46:48] [SPEAKER_02]: I chose not to ever see it again because why would I?

[00:46:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, my end up going into my dare back then just to make sure because I kind of now want to know which

[00:46:57] [SPEAKER_02]: the whole...

[00:46:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Excellent.

[00:46:59] [SPEAKER_05]: So the new crow.

[00:47:02] [SPEAKER_05]: The new crow.

[00:47:04] [SPEAKER_05]: What this new iteration of the crow had that the other didn't was a backstory because it had

[00:47:11] [SPEAKER_05]: the great music like the last one.

[00:47:14] [SPEAKER_05]: It had the atmosphere, like the last one.

[00:47:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Also, this one had the greatest of all the scars guards in it except you wouldn't know

[00:47:25] [SPEAKER_05]: what it was in this film as he is completely wasted in it.

[00:47:28] [SPEAKER_05]: In fact, you wouldn't even know it was him because he was just not present.

[00:47:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Not his super regular dynamic and often weird and wonderful self.

[00:47:42] [SPEAKER_05]: This there was absolutely negative chemistry between him and FKA Twigs, aka Shelley.

[00:47:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Like...

[00:47:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, that's her name.

[00:47:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Her name is FKA Twigs.

[00:47:54] [SPEAKER_03]: She was the kind of character she played.

[00:47:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to know what her real name is.

[00:47:59] [SPEAKER_03]: She wasn't born with FKA, I could tell you that.

[00:48:02] [SPEAKER_02]: That's not necessarily true.

[00:48:03] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to know what her real name is.

[00:48:05] [SPEAKER_02]: What made me a call?

[00:48:06] [SPEAKER_03]: That's stupid name.

[00:48:08] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

[00:48:10] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know if it's because it's all capitalize so I'm thinking it's FK.

[00:48:14] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a stupid name.

[00:48:15] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to know what her real name is.

[00:48:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, names aren't stupid.

[00:48:18] [SPEAKER_05]: They do just names.

[00:48:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so okay.

[00:48:20] [SPEAKER_05]: So this story is boring and uninteresting.

[00:48:22] [SPEAKER_05]: I just kept wanting it to be over for pretty much the entire movie.

[00:48:27] [SPEAKER_05]: The only redeeming scene in this whole movie is the opera scene,

[00:48:31] [SPEAKER_05]: which although was fun is completely unbelievable because even in an opera house

[00:48:37] [SPEAKER_05]: they would hear non-stotten gunfire and the ending is also stupid

[00:48:42] [SPEAKER_05]: because the deal he makes with some dude in this place...

[00:48:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Mr. Purgatory.

[00:48:51] [SPEAKER_03]: What's he, what's he, what's he, what's he...

[00:48:53] [SPEAKER_03]: What's he, what's his name was?

[00:48:54] [SPEAKER_03]: What?

[00:48:55] [SPEAKER_03]: His name was Chronos.

[00:48:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Chronos!

[00:48:58] [SPEAKER_03]: His name was Chronos.

[00:48:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Interesting.

[00:49:00] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I was going to mess that too.

[00:49:01] [SPEAKER_05]: So anyway, he made a deal with Chronos that was really the Crow's decision

[00:49:06] [SPEAKER_05]: because that was a thing.

[00:49:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I'm just...

[00:49:13] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm baffled.

[00:49:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Hmm.

[00:49:17] [SPEAKER_05]: This was not a good movie.

[00:49:18] [SPEAKER_05]: No.

[00:49:19] [SPEAKER_05]: I hated it.

[00:49:20] [SPEAKER_05]: It was a rage.

[00:49:21] [SPEAKER_05]: This was terrible.

[00:49:22] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't say...

[00:49:23] [SPEAKER_05]: I just...

[00:49:24] [SPEAKER_05]: I...

[00:49:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Everything about it was annoying.

[00:49:28] [SPEAKER_05]: And...

[00:49:28] [SPEAKER_05]: And I love!

[00:49:29] [SPEAKER_05]: You know my love of Bill.

[00:49:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Billy.

[00:49:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Billy boy.

[00:49:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Billy Bob.

[00:49:35] [SPEAKER_05]: He's my scar scar.

[00:49:37] [SPEAKER_05]: And he was just not present through this whole movie.

[00:49:41] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, talk about an interesting.

[00:49:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I got things to unpack, but let's hear what you guys thought about this.

[00:49:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Reiteration.

[00:49:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Since I haven't seen the original Crow,

[00:49:49] [SPEAKER_03]: the Crow 2 City of Angels, the Crow Salvation,

[00:49:55] [SPEAKER_03]: or the Crow wicked prayer.

[00:49:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, I didn't know about those last...

[00:49:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes, they made them all!

[00:50:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I have nothing to compare this film to.

[00:50:03] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't think those last two at the end.

[00:50:04] [SPEAKER_02]: It doesn't matter.

[00:50:05] [SPEAKER_02]: They're still Crow's.

[00:50:06] [SPEAKER_03]: These still exist.

[00:50:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I also haven't read the comics.

[00:50:09] [SPEAKER_03]: So I really didn't get the plot of this film.

[00:50:13] [SPEAKER_03]: The idea of an undead hero fighting to save souls

[00:50:16] [SPEAKER_03]: from the devil slash grim reaper isn't really new.

[00:50:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I see Ghost Rider.

[00:50:22] [SPEAKER_03]: But this character didn't seem all that special,

[00:50:24] [SPEAKER_03]: apart from the fact that he healed rapidly.

[00:50:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, so to Deadpool and Wolverine, at least they know how to fight.

[00:50:32] [SPEAKER_03]: This guy just seemed to stand there and let people film full of bullets.

[00:50:37] [SPEAKER_03]: He hasn't fight back like what the hell.

[00:50:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Not to say the mass security opera wasn't fun.

[00:50:43] [SPEAKER_03]: It sure was, but as you said, not believe all at all.

[00:50:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Like they fire 100 rounds of bullets,

[00:50:50] [SPEAKER_03]: and even in middle of a busy opera,

[00:50:52] [SPEAKER_03]: somebody would have heard the shots,

[00:50:54] [SPEAKER_03]: because everything I've heard real gunfire is loud.

[00:51:00] [SPEAKER_03]: From everything I've heard about the original,

[00:51:03] [SPEAKER_03]: this Eric Draven, if it's the same character,

[00:51:06] [SPEAKER_03]: was a grungeer tattoo covered drug addict version

[00:51:10] [SPEAKER_03]: of the original character.

[00:51:12] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you can never go wrong casting a scars guard

[00:51:15] [SPEAKER_03]: in that kind of a role.

[00:51:18] [SPEAKER_03]: I just didn't enjoy it that much.

[00:51:20] [SPEAKER_03]: So yeah, it was a rage, sucked.

[00:51:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Bing, Bing!

[00:51:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Very bracy, Poo.

[00:51:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's see what I got some stuff written down here.

[00:51:32] [SPEAKER_02]: The crow.

[00:51:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:51:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Rage.

[00:51:36] [SPEAKER_02]: First act was boring and unconvincing.

[00:51:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[00:51:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Second act was an ultraviolet good time.

[00:51:43] [SPEAKER_00]: What?

[00:51:44] [SPEAKER_00]: What?

[00:51:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Are you kidding me?

[00:51:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Let me just check my notes again.

[00:51:51] [SPEAKER_02]: First act boring and unconvincing.

[00:51:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Second act was ultraviolet good time.

[00:51:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, it was math.

[00:51:57] [SPEAKER_03]: And you wrote two sentences.

[00:51:59] [SPEAKER_03]: What?

[00:52:00] [SPEAKER_03]: What?

[00:52:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Just check again.

[00:52:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe I missed something.

[00:52:05] [SPEAKER_05]: You didn't really miss something.

[00:52:07] [SPEAKER_02]: You didn't really miss something.

[00:52:07] [SPEAKER_02]: You didn't fall asleep for half an hour.

[00:52:08] [SPEAKER_05]: No, I can't believe he didn't fall asleep.

[00:52:11] [SPEAKER_03]: I think his brain injury was effect.

[00:52:13] [SPEAKER_02]: First act was boring and unconvincing.

[00:52:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, no.

[00:52:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Let's check.

[00:52:17] [SPEAKER_02]: First act was a ultraviolet good time.

[00:52:21] [SPEAKER_02]: No, it was math.

[00:52:24] [SPEAKER_02]: 100% it was math.

[00:52:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh yeah, okay.

[00:52:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I don't get that at all.

[00:52:28] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know either.

[00:52:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Like, well tell you why.

[00:52:31] [SPEAKER_02]: Because the first act was boring and unconvincing.

[00:52:34] [SPEAKER_02]: But the second act was an ultraviolet good time.

[00:52:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[00:52:37] [SPEAKER_02]: There was.

[00:52:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:52:38] [SPEAKER_05]: The scene at the opera house was good.

[00:52:42] [SPEAKER_03]: But it was also wasn't the end.

[00:52:43] [SPEAKER_03]: That was like, yeah, there's a bunch of other much of crap.

[00:52:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, there's the first half was awful.

[00:52:49] [SPEAKER_03]: If it ended at the opera house, it was fine.

[00:52:52] [SPEAKER_05]: I liked it.

[00:52:53] [SPEAKER_05]: So let me just be clear.

[00:52:55] [SPEAKER_05]: I was going to show down.

[00:52:56] [SPEAKER_05]: We reached.

[00:52:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Remember that I watched this with a brain injury.

[00:53:01] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm still, I'm still baffled.

[00:53:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Because what I'm most about is the brain injury is pretty fresh when I watch this.

[00:53:08] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, so because did you like the ending of this?

[00:53:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, I did it.

[00:53:15] [SPEAKER_05]: The ending of this movie.

[00:53:17] [SPEAKER_05]: It's not it.

[00:53:18] [SPEAKER_05]: You go back into Bryce history.

[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:53:21] [SPEAKER_05]: History 101 or two.

[00:53:23] [SPEAKER_03]: That was Bryce.

[00:53:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Pretty brain injury though.

[00:53:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Love like 90% of a movie in the 30s.

[00:53:27] [SPEAKER_03]: And then the 30s.

[00:53:28] [SPEAKER_03]: And then he gives it a raise.

[00:53:29] [SPEAKER_05]: And this movie was so awful.

[00:53:31] [SPEAKER_02]: This is brain injury, Bryce.

[00:53:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Now I've turned over a new leaf.

[00:53:36] [SPEAKER_02]: My brain doesn't work like it.

[00:53:37] [SPEAKER_03]: You sleep.

[00:53:38] [SPEAKER_03]: You sleep.

[00:53:38] [SPEAKER_03]: You're dog on this.

[00:53:39] [SPEAKER_03]: He's not the blame for this.

[00:53:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, but it really hard.

[00:53:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well.

[00:53:42] [SPEAKER_02]: Right in a temple.

[00:53:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh my god.

[00:53:44] [SPEAKER_02]: You're not able to.

[00:53:45] [SPEAKER_02]: He smashed my brain against my skull.

[00:53:47] [SPEAKER_05]: I had.

[00:53:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Now my thoughts are all jumbled.

[00:53:49] [SPEAKER_05]: I have.

[00:53:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I had things to unpack.

[00:53:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, I don't know anything about it.

[00:53:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, like, T-Merry.

[00:53:55] [SPEAKER_05]: I never read the comic of this.

[00:53:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Me neither.

[00:53:58] [SPEAKER_05]: So I don't even know.

[00:54:00] [SPEAKER_05]: The, maybe in people like these things.

[00:54:01] [SPEAKER_02]: The scarist guard was all sodium this too.

[00:54:03] [SPEAKER_02]: It was annoying.

[00:54:04] [SPEAKER_05]: He wasn't.

[00:54:05] [SPEAKER_03]: He wasn't.

[00:54:06] [SPEAKER_03]: He was terrible.

[00:54:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh yeah, and, and yeah, he's in rehab.

[00:54:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Me's this girl.

[00:54:12] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I mean, you know what I said.

[00:54:13] [SPEAKER_03]: And like they escaped together and like two weeks later, they will get killed.

[00:54:16] [SPEAKER_03]: They're all lovey, doesn't it?

[00:54:17] [SPEAKER_03]: And he's like, great.

[00:54:18] [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't buy the romance either.

[00:54:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, exactly.

[00:54:20] [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't buy any of it.

[00:54:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Unconvincing.

[00:54:23] [SPEAKER_02]: It's terrible.

[00:54:25] [SPEAKER_02]: But there was a fire like the ultraviolet second axe.

[00:54:28] [SPEAKER_02]: It was, it was man.

[00:54:29] [SPEAKER_05]: It wasn't a full second act of ultraviolet.

[00:54:32] [SPEAKER_05]: It was a lot.

[00:54:32] [SPEAKER_05]: It was like 15 minutes.

[00:54:33] [SPEAKER_05]: It was like 15 minutes.

[00:54:35] [SPEAKER_05]: It was like 15 minutes.

[00:54:36] [SPEAKER_05]: So just a work clear.

[00:54:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Your brain injury caused you to like 15 minutes of a movie.

[00:54:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I did not get the last 20 minutes.

[00:54:44] [SPEAKER_05]: I remember it.

[00:54:45] [SPEAKER_02]: I remember it a long time ago.

[00:54:45] [SPEAKER_02]: I thought it was both like a half an hour.

[00:54:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, you know what?

[00:54:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.

[00:54:50] [SPEAKER_03]: The problem is it was like 20 minutes after that, which totally sucked.

[00:54:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:54:53] [SPEAKER_02]: But Stan Houston wasn't it?

[00:54:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, there they go.

[00:54:55] [SPEAKER_02]: That make it.

[00:54:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I got it.

[00:54:57] [SPEAKER_03]: In the bad guy and like every superhero movie I've ever seen.

[00:55:00] [SPEAKER_02]: He's always good.

[00:55:01] [SPEAKER_02]: I like Danny Houston.

[00:55:02] [SPEAKER_05]: There you go.

[00:55:02] [SPEAKER_05]: That's that's.

[00:55:03] [SPEAKER_02]: You doesn't like Danny Houston.

[00:55:05] [SPEAKER_05]: That's kind of.

[00:55:06] [SPEAKER_05]: What?

[00:55:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Never did that's not right.

[00:55:09] [SPEAKER_03]: It is right.

[00:55:10] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't like that.

[00:55:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that makes me so sad.

[00:55:14] [SPEAKER_02]: You like Danny Houston?

[00:55:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Who doesn't?

[00:55:16] [SPEAKER_02]: It looks like a separate.

[00:55:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Except for this movie apparently.

[00:55:20] [SPEAKER_05]: I used to love Bill Skarsgard in every single movie.

[00:55:23] [SPEAKER_05]: There you go.

[00:55:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Except this movie.

[00:55:26] [SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't great.

[00:55:28] [SPEAKER_03]: No, it wasn't even good.

[00:55:29] [SPEAKER_03]: It was terrible.

[00:55:31] [SPEAKER_02]: It was pretty not good.

[00:55:33] [SPEAKER_02]: But there's enough there to make it.

[00:55:38] [SPEAKER_02]: I like it better than I remember liking the first one.

[00:55:41] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, we're going to find out about that.

[00:55:43] [SPEAKER_05]: It's a point for your two.

[00:55:46] [SPEAKER_05]: All right, well, I got a sad sit for this week.

[00:55:48] [SPEAKER_05]: We had five films we made it through.

[00:55:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Now for the second half of our project.

[00:55:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm gonna like my thing that could be just like this.

[00:55:59] [SPEAKER_03]: We got it.

[00:55:59] [SPEAKER_03]: We just did.

[00:56:00] [SPEAKER_03]: We got it.

[00:56:01] [SPEAKER_03]: We got it.

[00:56:02] [SPEAKER_05]: You can't read all of those.

[00:56:04] [SPEAKER_05]: You can't.

[00:56:05] [SPEAKER_05]: It's all posted.

[00:56:06] [SPEAKER_05]: No, it's not going to.

[00:56:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Murray, it's on their website.

[00:56:09] [SPEAKER_05]: You don't need to read them.

[00:56:10] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm not.

[00:56:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay, good.

[00:56:12] [SPEAKER_03]: But it's not short.

[00:56:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Okay.

[00:56:14] [SPEAKER_03]: You know what?

[00:56:15] [SPEAKER_03]: It was the official launch of the Calgary International Film Festival lineup.

[00:56:19] [SPEAKER_03]: Two thirds of film rage.

[00:56:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Where did it represent?

[00:56:22] [SPEAKER_03]: That's right.

[00:56:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah, that was today.

[00:56:24] [SPEAKER_02]: It wasn't.

[00:56:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.

[00:56:25] [SPEAKER_02]: It should have just left work.

[00:56:27] [SPEAKER_02]: You shouldn't.

[00:56:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there are 100 people films and 100 short films.

[00:56:32] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm just gonna give over some on.

[00:56:34] [SPEAKER_03]: And Murray's gonna read all of them.

[00:56:36] [SPEAKER_05]: No, don't give that.

[00:56:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Order.

[00:56:38] [SPEAKER_03]: I have a list.

[00:56:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, first off is the opening gala at the Jack Singer.

[00:56:43] [SPEAKER_03]: We have the thicket.

[00:56:45] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, West Peter Dinkler.

[00:56:47] [SPEAKER_03]: Is he gonna go like us, too?

[00:56:48] [SPEAKER_04]: Be movie?

[00:56:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it is a to be production.

[00:56:52] This is.

[00:56:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Um, it's a western shot in the winter in Calgary.

[00:56:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Judging by the trailer.

[00:56:59] [SPEAKER_03]: It stars Peter Dinkler, Juliet Lewis and many others, including James headfield from Malacau.

[00:57:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Nice.

[00:57:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Dinkler, Jane co-star, Leslie Grace will be in attendance for those listeners in the good old USA.

[00:57:12] [SPEAKER_03]: It actually opens September 8th.

[00:57:14] [SPEAKER_03]: In the US.

[00:57:16] [SPEAKER_03]: In the US.

[00:57:16] [SPEAKER_06]: Uh-huh.

[00:57:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Stop.

[00:57:18] [SPEAKER_03]: We have the tragically hip.

[00:57:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh-huh.

[00:57:22] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, Canada's own tragically hip.

[00:57:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Uh, it's called No rehearsals.

[00:57:26] [SPEAKER_03]: This one has special meeting for my buddy, Jim.

[00:57:28] [SPEAKER_03]: We love the band.

[00:57:29] [SPEAKER_03]: Or down at a lead singer, tonight from Brink Cancer.

[00:57:32] [SPEAKER_03]: This is a four and a half hour production directed by his brother.

[00:57:36] [SPEAKER_03]: You either love that band or you just like,

[00:57:38] [SPEAKER_03]: This is everything.

[00:57:39] [SPEAKER_03]: I think I think two screens is going to sell out.

[00:57:42] [SPEAKER_05]: I think Bob Cajun is one of my favorite songs ever written of all time.

[00:57:46] [SPEAKER_05]: And I see.

[00:57:48] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, and I actually need to listen to it more.

[00:57:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, I'm like, I'm hurt.

[00:57:52] [SPEAKER_03]: Who doesn't love it.

[00:57:53] [SPEAKER_03]: I mean, I like the story of what they all went through and stuff.

[00:57:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, the music itself.

[00:57:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[00:58:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Take her leave it.

[00:58:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Exactly.

[00:58:01] [SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm saying.

[00:58:02] [SPEAKER_02]: People either like travel a thousand miles to see them or there's just like,

[00:58:09] [SPEAKER_05]: And they will travel a thousand miles.

[00:58:10] [SPEAKER_02]: And there's no in between and there's nobody hates them.

[00:58:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I wouldn't travel a thousand miles.

[00:58:17] [SPEAKER_05]: But I think for Canadian, like they were there,

[00:58:21] [SPEAKER_05]: The iconic Canadian rock bandals.

[00:58:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Hmm.

[00:58:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, there's they have more stuff.

[00:58:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Like there's been analysis done on them.

[00:58:29] [SPEAKER_05]: But there's more things in their music and songs about Canada than any other band.

[00:58:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Like as much as Russia may be the most internationally known Canadian band.

[00:58:40] [SPEAKER_05]: They don't sing about Canada.

[00:58:42] [SPEAKER_05]: These guys sing about Canada a lot.

[00:58:45] [SPEAKER_05]: So which I love.

[00:58:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Hmm.

[00:58:48] [SPEAKER_05]: I have a tattoo of Canadian flag on my leg.

[00:58:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I get the Canadian thing.

[00:58:52] [SPEAKER_02]: But this got to be backed by like, you know, good music.

[00:58:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, look there.

[00:58:56] [SPEAKER_05]: No, they don't have good music.

[00:58:57] [SPEAKER_05]: They have great music.

[00:58:59] [SPEAKER_02]: They have, they have some good music.

[00:59:00] [SPEAKER_02]: They have sometimes listable music.

[00:59:03] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:59:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Now we've stopped over a line.

[00:59:08] [SPEAKER_05]: Hey, here's the thing.

[00:59:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Music to everybody.

[00:59:12] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't blame anybody for any music.

[00:59:14] [SPEAKER_02]: They like, I may not like it.

[00:59:16] [SPEAKER_02]: At the end of the day, whatever moves you is what moves you.

[00:59:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.

[00:59:25] [SPEAKER_03]: It's not even a big, it's a freaking mini series.

[00:59:35] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't understand why they do this.

[00:59:37] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a great deal.

[00:59:38] [SPEAKER_03]: It's going to be an event.

[00:59:40] [SPEAKER_03]: The closing night film on the final Saturday is lucky star.

[00:59:43] [SPEAKER_03]: Corrected by one of our friends, Gillian McCurcher.

[00:59:47] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a story of her form gambler who gets so much better than her.

[00:59:49] [SPEAKER_03]: She's just a scound and must return to the high stakes of poker to make his money back.

[00:59:53] [SPEAKER_03]: It was locally shot and produced and promised it being exciting night.

[00:59:57] [SPEAKER_03]: I can't wait for this one.

[00:59:58] [SPEAKER_03]: We can see it.

[01:00:00] [SPEAKER_03]: We're in a variety of music on the docs to check out.

[01:00:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Size to have.

[01:00:06] [SPEAKER_03]: A little bit.

[01:00:09] [SPEAKER_03]: A little bit.

[01:00:11] [SPEAKER_03]: A little bit.

[01:00:12] [SPEAKER_03]: A little bit.

[01:00:14] [SPEAKER_03]: A little bit.

[01:00:15] [SPEAKER_03]: A little bit.

[01:00:16] [SPEAKER_03]: A little bit.

[01:00:19] [SPEAKER_03]: A little bit.

[01:00:19] [SPEAKER_03]: A little bit.

[01:00:19] [SPEAKER_03]: A little bit.

[01:00:20] [SPEAKER_03]: Ahhh.

[01:00:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I just got like cents from her60.

[01:00:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Or the ads that worked for her and her 205 dxt.

[01:00:23] [SPEAKER_02]: You're single 100 each by five or 2?

[01:00:28] [SPEAKER_03]: The구äl channel has shown

[01:00:31] [SPEAKER_03]: She's got your viewer記得,

[01:00:35] [SPEAKER_03]: She's a great guy.

[01:00:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, my God.

[01:00:39] [SPEAKER_02]: Wow.

[01:00:41] [SPEAKER_03]: She was just a lead, she mentioned that he's a fellow producers

[01:00:43] [SPEAKER_03]: He works with a legendary series fromém WORS

[01:00:44] [SPEAKER_02]: She did also watch one last Saturday,

[01:00:48] [SPEAKER_02]: He's a Canadian equallyちゃined film director.

[01:00:48] [SPEAKER_03]: You never want to get to make a movie this.

[01:00:50] [SPEAKER_05]: One stuff you've run the confession of the year.

[01:00:54] [SPEAKER_03]: We also have bird.

[01:00:58] [SPEAKER_03]: The greatest film.

[01:00:59] [SPEAKER_03]: A word, winning filmmaker, Andrea Arnold.

[01:01:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[01:01:02] [SPEAKER_02]: By Charlie Parker?

[01:01:04] [SPEAKER_03]: No.

[01:01:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Starting the always mesmerizing Barry Keegan.

[01:01:10] [SPEAKER_03]: Stories, story revolves around a grill raised by her father and brother in a small town

[01:01:13] [SPEAKER_03]: and she's forced to look for a tension elsewhere.

[01:01:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we'll be seeing that one for sure.

[01:01:17] [SPEAKER_03]: One for Jim to look out for is bookworm,

[01:01:21] [SPEAKER_03]: starring Elijah Wood.

[01:01:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh!

[01:01:24] [SPEAKER_03]: It's a New Zealand film about a 12 year old and her strange father.

[01:01:28] [SPEAKER_03]: He set up in the Zealand wilderness to find proof of a magical creature.

[01:01:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[01:01:32] [SPEAKER_03]: This is a cash prize.

[01:01:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Father, daughter bonding with Elijah Wood.

[01:01:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[01:01:37] [SPEAKER_05]: My third favorite creep crush.

[01:01:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Another big deal is my dead friend Zoe.

[01:01:44] [SPEAKER_03]: He still don't forget Andy.

[01:01:46] [SPEAKER_03]: You won the big prize, it's out by Southwest.

[01:01:48] [SPEAKER_03]: This year.

[01:01:49] [SPEAKER_06]: OK.

[01:01:50] [SPEAKER_03]: Star started film has Ed Harris, Oregon Freeman,

[01:01:54] [SPEAKER_03]: bootcarsh, humbug, are,

[01:01:57] [SPEAKER_03]: a warrior-roofing and sedicua Martin Green.

[01:01:59] [SPEAKER_03]: It was also produced by Travis Kelsey that football dude.

[01:02:05] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh.

[01:02:06] [SPEAKER_03]: His name's on it.

[01:02:07] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't know.

[01:02:08] [SPEAKER_03]: Of course, festival season wouldn't be complete without a cape,

[01:02:11] [SPEAKER_03]: a flat-chat film.

[01:02:12] [SPEAKER_03]: This time, it's rumors,

[01:02:16] [SPEAKER_03]: apocalyptic comedy horror about the G7 summit and a world crisis.

[01:02:21] [SPEAKER_03]: When he blanks at is Alicia Vikander and Charles Dance.

[01:02:25] [SPEAKER_02]: It sounds terrible, but it's going to be spectacular.

[01:02:29] [SPEAKER_03]: There are so many films we're checking in on.

[01:02:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Remember her last movie that she did?

[01:02:33] [SPEAKER_02]: It sounded terrible.

[01:02:34] [SPEAKER_03]: Wait, what the fuck?

[01:02:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no, borderlands were terrible.

[01:02:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, sorry.

[01:02:39] [SPEAKER_02]: But TAR was also brilliant.

[01:02:43] [SPEAKER_02]: It also sounded terrible.

[01:02:46] [SPEAKER_02]: It was brilliant.

[01:02:46] [SPEAKER_03]: There you go, you never know.

[01:02:48] [SPEAKER_03]: There are so many films we're checking out.

[01:02:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Either in person or online.

[01:02:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[01:02:51] [SPEAKER_03]: Psycho's active.

[01:02:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I'll wrap it up with another one that caught my eye

[01:02:55] [SPEAKER_03]: from the late shift series.

[01:02:57] [SPEAKER_03]: It's called Dark Match and Binds.

[01:03:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Rational wrestling.

[01:03:04] [SPEAKER_03]: The Satanic cult.

[01:03:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes!

[01:03:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Something for everyone.

[01:03:08] [SPEAKER_03]: It's part gladiator match and part ritual sacrifice.

[01:03:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, sounds awful.

[01:03:13] [SPEAKER_03]: It's the song for the best way to take Manitoba's Chris Jericho.

[01:03:17] [SPEAKER_03]: That makes me happy too.

[01:03:19] [SPEAKER_03]: J himself.

[01:03:20] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure his acting is terrible, but maybe he gets killed in some groups.

[01:03:24] [SPEAKER_03]: You know what?

[01:03:25] [SPEAKER_03]: This is only movie I want to say.

[01:03:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Enough to watch.

[01:03:28] [SPEAKER_05]: That's right.

[01:03:28] [SPEAKER_05]: I see.

[01:03:29] [SPEAKER_03]: So, yeah, there's like so many other ones I didn't put on.

[01:03:32] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, there's so many.

[01:03:33] [SPEAKER_03]: And I didn't talk with documentaries and they didn't really mention it

[01:03:36] [SPEAKER_03]: with a world cinema stuff.

[01:03:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Yep.

[01:03:38] [SPEAKER_05]: But check out like their website.

[01:03:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, they run some scenarios between 9th and 6th.

[01:03:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I think it's going to sail next week.

[01:03:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Some of the bigger events you can get tickets for now.

[01:03:45] [SPEAKER_03]: For a full list of films, go to www.sifcalgary.ca.

[01:03:51] [SPEAKER_03]: There will be streaming options also, but I'm sure Geoblocking will be in effect.

[01:03:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Yep.

[01:03:56] [SPEAKER_03]: So, be able to get here and watch it in person.

[01:03:59] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I got.

[01:04:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Nice.

[01:04:01] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I blew through that for you.

[01:04:03] [SPEAKER_05]: You did.

[01:04:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Blue it.

[01:04:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah.

[01:04:09] [SPEAKER_00]: Temperature rising.

[01:04:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Division, pouring.

[01:04:15] [SPEAKER_06]: Rage.

[01:04:16] [SPEAKER_00]: Taking over.

[01:04:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, my rage this week has been percolating for probably the last five years and I know

[01:04:40] [SPEAKER_05]: I've probably talked a little bit about this.

[01:04:42] [SPEAKER_05]: But my rage this week is fucking blue house.

[01:04:45] [SPEAKER_05]: Yep.

[01:04:45] [SPEAKER_05]: And in particular, the trailer speak no evil.

[01:04:49] [SPEAKER_05]: And the amount of time that I've seen this fucking trailer and all of their trailers,

[01:04:54] [SPEAKER_05]: they just completely destroy every single movie that they put out.

[01:05:00] [SPEAKER_05]: And then on top of that, when the movie finally comes out and you see it, not only do

[01:05:04] [SPEAKER_05]: you know the whole movie because the trailer has basically spilled it all out, but then

[01:05:08] [SPEAKER_05]: the movie's not as good as the trailer.

[01:05:10] [SPEAKER_05]: And this trailer is not even that good.

[01:05:11] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's got one of my favorite actors in it and I'm still pissed.

[01:05:16] [SPEAKER_05]: This blue house just fuck off already.

[01:05:19] [SPEAKER_05]: I can't stand you anymore.

[01:05:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, just everything you do is destroyed by awfulness.

[01:05:24] [SPEAKER_05]: And the trailers, the trailers are all spoiled.

[01:05:30] [SPEAKER_05]: They're just awful.

[01:05:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Make a really good trailer where we don't know what's going to happen.

[01:05:36] [SPEAKER_05]: This, they could have designed the trailer for Speak No Evil and had it look really cool.

[01:05:43] [SPEAKER_05]: But instead, we already know the whole movie.

[01:05:46] [SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, I'm not looking forward to that movie.

[01:05:49] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm not looking forward to seeing any blue house movie ever again.

[01:05:54] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm sick of them.

[01:05:55] [SPEAKER_05]: That's it.

[01:05:55] [SPEAKER_05]: That's my rage.

[01:06:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Alright, so I don't really have a rage per se this week, but I do have an update on a previous

[01:06:29] [SPEAKER_02]: video.

[01:06:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, God, not more about the scene card or about the scene card.

[01:06:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Cinaclub to be precise.

[01:06:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Now here's the deal.

[01:06:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Cinaclub the ongoing saga of Bryce Hogg.

[01:06:39] [SPEAKER_02]: But here's the thing.

[01:06:41] [SPEAKER_02]: So I get this email and it says that they are updating their terms and conditions.

[01:06:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Cinaclub members will always now be able to purchase two member-priced mission tickets

[01:06:55] [SPEAKER_02]: per show time for only 999 each.

[01:07:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Regardless of if they are also redeeming the saved monthly membership ticket towards

[01:07:06] [SPEAKER_02]: the same.

[01:07:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Wait, just because you probably.

[01:07:08] [SPEAKER_02]: And that's what I'm saying.

[01:07:10] [SPEAKER_02]: That because I sat there and I talked to Joe Blow like three consecutive nights voicing

[01:07:16] [SPEAKER_02]: my displeasure with how that it was operating.

[01:07:19] [SPEAKER_02]: And it took three times for him to clearly state what the what the what the it actually

[01:07:25] [SPEAKER_02]: was.

[01:07:26] [SPEAKER_02]: But that third time I'm like, okay, now I get it but now it's dumb and here's why

[01:07:31] [SPEAKER_02]: it's dumb and I listed out all the reasons I was clear.

[01:07:34] [SPEAKER_02]: I was concise and I guarantee someone listened to that back as they always say that

[01:07:39] [SPEAKER_02]: they're recording this for quality assurances.

[01:07:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, I guarantee that either he went to someone and said you know what?

[01:07:47] [SPEAKER_02]: He's right.

[01:07:47] [SPEAKER_02]: This guy doesn't have a brain injury.

[01:07:49] [SPEAKER_02]: You should listen to him.

[01:07:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Or somebody just country and they've changed the policy for the whole country and it's

[01:07:56] [SPEAKER_02]: exactly the way it should be now.

[01:07:58] [SPEAKER_02]: You don't you can sit there and collect all the free movies you want and you can buy 299

[01:08:03] [SPEAKER_02]: 999 tickets every time where before if you had any free movies, you could only purchase

[01:08:08] [SPEAKER_02]: 199 999 ticket and that's crap and guess what?

[01:08:12] [SPEAKER_02]: They rectified it so good on you.

[01:08:14] [SPEAKER_02]: It's Cinaclub.

[01:08:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Good on you.

[01:08:15] [SPEAKER_02]: It's Cinaclub.

[01:08:16] [SPEAKER_02]: You'll listen to the little guy.

[01:08:18] [SPEAKER_05]: So here what you're saying is you don't have a technically a legitimate rage.

[01:08:22] [SPEAKER_05]: You've got a raging boner for Cinaclub.

[01:08:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Right now I do.

[01:08:26] [SPEAKER_02]: He's just doing what you know, landmark was do.

[01:08:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Landmark from movie lovers club was doing from the beginning.

[01:08:32] [SPEAKER_03]: He's got a huge pat on the back for himself as what he's doing.

[01:08:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Well you know he's taking credit for it but ultimately he's probably not only one that's

[01:08:39] [SPEAKER_05]: half the time.

[01:08:39] [SPEAKER_02]: I have no doubt he's the only person but I was like, I guarantee that I was because

[01:08:44] [SPEAKER_02]: you know what?

[01:08:45] [SPEAKER_02]: I had the operator laugh and his ass off with the way that I was presenting the

[01:08:50] [SPEAKER_02]: whole deal.

[01:08:52] [SPEAKER_02]: So I guarantee that he was genuinely entertained by me by the third time.

[01:08:56] [SPEAKER_02]: He was annoyed with me after the first one.

[01:08:58] [SPEAKER_02]: The second one he was warm and up to me and then the third time I called him and I got

[01:09:02] [SPEAKER_02]: the same guy again.

[01:09:04] [SPEAKER_02]: He was like okay this is how I thought I'm like okay now I understand it and here's

[01:09:09] [SPEAKER_02]: why it's completely dumb.

[01:09:10] [SPEAKER_02]: And I don't know what I said.

[01:09:12] [SPEAKER_02]: I just remember we were both laugh and pretty hard.

[01:09:15] [SPEAKER_02]: Nice.

[01:09:16] [SPEAKER_02]: And I believe that is why.

[01:09:18] [SPEAKER_05]: That's the laugh and I convinced you.

[01:09:20] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to you know what?

[01:09:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Let's take let's take this to the real person who has credit which is me because

[01:09:25] [SPEAKER_05]: I said to him I'm tired of you whining about this.

[01:09:28] [SPEAKER_05]: You need to call their 1-800 number because they're really good to talk to you.

[01:09:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah you said that.

[01:09:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Well he finds it.

[01:09:35] [SPEAKER_02]: To be honest, he annoyed me the first time.

[01:09:37] [SPEAKER_02]: I think we went through the same progression though.

[01:09:40] [SPEAKER_02]: We were annoyed by each other first time.

[01:09:43] [SPEAKER_02]: The second time we're like okay whatever and then the third time we're like yeah this

[01:09:47] [SPEAKER_05]: is my best friend.

[01:09:48] [SPEAKER_05]: My best friend.

[01:09:49] [SPEAKER_05]: And now he's got his picture.

[01:09:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Now on his computer screen.

[01:09:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Now they're pen pals.

[01:09:54] [SPEAKER_05]: That's right.

[01:09:55] [SPEAKER_02]: I wish.

[01:09:57] [SPEAKER_05]: Exactly.

[01:10:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Which?

[01:10:02] [SPEAKER_00]: I'm saying.

[01:10:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Plus.

[01:10:06] [SPEAKER_00]: So I think you're a thing.

[01:10:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Last time on.

[01:10:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Rage or dare.

[01:10:18] [SPEAKER_01]: The kids went playing in the garden of earthly mess from our listeners' dare bag.

[01:10:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Here they pulled the Italian film, Elviper Fitto.

[01:10:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Also known as Circle of Fear in English.

[01:10:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Even though it would seem Elviper Fitto would translate pretty directly to perfect

[01:10:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Elviper.

[01:10:37] [SPEAKER_01]: This week, Bryce can choose to rage or dare or Casey.

[01:10:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't forget about your good old God of Rage boys.

[01:10:46] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not good for your health.

[01:10:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Where were we?

[01:10:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Oh yes.

[01:10:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Mamma Mia.

[01:10:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Here we go again.

[01:10:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's post around this Italian thriller and see if this pizza Italian cinema is as delicious

[01:11:00] [SPEAKER_01]: as champagne gelato or if it's more like un-briended olives.

[01:11:05] [SPEAKER_01]: FYI, that's gross by the way.

[01:11:07] [SPEAKER_01]: In fact, all olives are gross.

[01:11:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Anyone else feeling hungry?

[01:11:12] [SPEAKER_01]: When Jim starts to sigh like there's no pizza pie, that's a big man.

[01:11:19] [SPEAKER_01]: When Bryce starts to wine like he's had too much wine, that's a big man.

[01:11:29] [SPEAKER_04]: All right, a little bit more fat.

[01:11:32] [SPEAKER_04]: I think a little bit more fat though.

[01:11:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, you're gonna start, but I... whatever, I'm gonna start.

[01:11:37] [SPEAKER_02]: Because I watch the movie most of it.

[01:11:40] [SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[01:11:43] [SPEAKER_02]: So, but here's a thing.

[01:11:46] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm starting to watch the movie and it seems to be about these gangsters.

[01:11:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[01:11:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Like a drag deal.

[01:11:52] [SPEAKER_02]: But then all of a sudden it becomes about this serial killer.

[01:11:56] [SPEAKER_02]: But the gangsters are still involved, but I don't think they have anything to do with the serial killer.

[01:12:00] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't even know because I didn't...

[01:12:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Maybe it all gets tied together at the end, I don't know.

[01:12:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Because I will say that...

[01:12:07] [SPEAKER_02]: I tried to watch it on three separate occasions.

[01:12:10] [SPEAKER_02]: And I got through about 45 minutes first time fell asleep.

[01:12:14] [SPEAKER_02]: And it was awful.

[01:12:15] [SPEAKER_02]: But there was nothing going on like, it was just...

[01:12:18] [SPEAKER_02]: There's this weird love story.

[01:12:20] [SPEAKER_02]: And then they seem to break up, but I didn't really see them break up, but apparently they're broken up.

[01:12:26] [SPEAKER_02]: But then she has them drive her to meet this other guy.

[01:12:32] [SPEAKER_02]: But a date, but then you get to the date and then they're still together sitting at a table.

[01:12:38] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what happened to the other guy.

[01:12:40] [SPEAKER_02]: Like nothing makes sense in this movie.

[01:12:43] [SPEAKER_02]: Like nothing.

[01:12:45] [SPEAKER_02]: And there seems... as I say it seemed to be about this gangster and nobody...

[01:12:48] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, the burnt young is like the big cheese, I guess.

[01:12:52] [SPEAKER_02]: But then it's about this serial killer.

[01:12:54] [SPEAKER_02]: And I didn't...

[01:12:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Does this get tied together at the end?

[01:12:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Because the second time, I started it from where I ended.

[01:13:01] [SPEAKER_02]: And I only got through about five minutes and I fell asleep again.

[01:13:05] [SPEAKER_02]: And then the third time, I started it again from where I ended.

[01:13:09] [SPEAKER_02]: And I got through about five minutes and I fell asleep.

[01:13:12] [SPEAKER_02]: So then I just gave up because I obviously can't get past the 50-minute mark of this movie.

[01:13:18] [SPEAKER_02]: I tried Jim.

[01:13:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I tried really hard.

[01:13:21] [SPEAKER_02]: So I'm going to need your help.

[01:13:22] [SPEAKER_02]: Does the serial killer and the... and the gangster stuff tied together in any way?

[01:13:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I was very confused.

[01:13:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Let me tell you about this movie.

[01:13:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay.

[01:13:34] [SPEAKER_03]: By the way, it was a rage from what I saw.

[01:13:37] [SPEAKER_03]: Now you know how I feel.

[01:13:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Why are you crying?

[01:13:41] [SPEAKER_03]: I hate the movie you guys ever dragged me.

[01:13:42] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, it wasn't... like a poor movie with all that English.

[01:13:46] [SPEAKER_03]: It's all in English.

[01:13:47] [SPEAKER_03]: It's Italian.

[01:13:48] [SPEAKER_02]: It was made by Italians.

[01:13:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Yup.

[01:13:50] [SPEAKER_02]: But they were all very American actors for the most not all of them.

[01:13:53] [SPEAKER_02]: Some of them just like all these Italian movies where they tried to make an American movie.

[01:13:57] [SPEAKER_02]: They're trying to make an American movie and they put American actors in it.

[01:14:01] [SPEAKER_02]: But then they've got Italian actors who I'm pretty sure

[01:14:04] [SPEAKER_02]: don't speak English and are overdupped with English with English dialogue by somebody doing it like an

[01:14:11] [SPEAKER_02]: overdone.

[01:14:13] [SPEAKER_02]: So, but anyways, it's... and it looks like it.

[01:14:16] [SPEAKER_02]: It's awful.

[01:14:17] [SPEAKER_05]: But tell me about this.

[01:14:18] [SPEAKER_05]: Tell me about this.

[01:14:19] [SPEAKER_05]: First off, what the fuck is with this music?

[01:14:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Which is what I said for the entire movie.

[01:14:25] [SPEAKER_05]: And then I said, what the fuck is actually happening?

[01:14:28] [SPEAKER_05]: I didn't know.

[01:14:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Through the entire movie.

[01:14:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, I wasn't a...

[01:14:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Let's see.

[01:14:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, I was watching.

[01:14:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Like hiding behind chair legs in a gunfight.

[01:14:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, or what?

[01:14:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Or what I think is a...

[01:14:41] [SPEAKER_05]: Sting operation for something I have no idea.

[01:14:47] [SPEAKER_05]: But you get lines like, how many times do I have to tell you?

[01:14:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Check if they're dead.

[01:14:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Which makes me think she like...

[01:14:54] [SPEAKER_05]: It's a lot of people.

[01:14:57] [SPEAKER_05]: That aren't dead, I mean.

[01:14:59] [SPEAKER_05]: How many times do you have to try and kill people as a cop?

[01:15:02] [SPEAKER_05]: To have to check if they're dead.

[01:15:05] [SPEAKER_06]: Like, don't know.

[01:15:06] [SPEAKER_05]: And who is she?

[01:15:08] [SPEAKER_05]: You may be asking Lisa the cop.

[01:15:10] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, sorry.

[01:15:11] [SPEAKER_05]: Sorry.

[01:15:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Scantely clad sexy cop Lisa.

[01:15:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[01:15:14] [SPEAKER_05]: And her partner, the hothead dude, Tony,

[01:15:19] [SPEAKER_05]: neither of which can act.

[01:15:21] [SPEAKER_05]: And I'm guessing based on this movie never acted again.

[01:15:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Sorry, let me rephrase this.

[01:15:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Never appeared in a movie again.

[01:15:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Because acting is too strong of word for what they were doing.

[01:15:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Then I think a mystery starts to happen.

[01:15:37] [SPEAKER_05]: But not before we find out Lisa and Tony are not only partners on the job,

[01:15:42] [SPEAKER_05]: but also partners in the sack.

[01:15:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Tony and his ex-wife get shot for some reason.

[01:15:48] [SPEAKER_05]: Again, there is terrible music that plays,

[01:15:51] [SPEAKER_05]: followed by more deplorable acting,

[01:15:52] [SPEAKER_05]: and no real plot develops.

[01:15:54] [SPEAKER_05]: And then we do get that horrible, horrible scant,

[01:16:00] [SPEAKER_05]: can't horrible saxophone jazz music that comes back.

[01:16:04] [SPEAKER_05]: And by this time, I'm not sure which is worse.

[01:16:06] [SPEAKER_05]: The acting or the music.

[01:16:08] [SPEAKER_05]: So I decided, you know what?

[01:16:09] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to flip a coin.

[01:16:10] [SPEAKER_05]: So I actually flipped a coin.

[01:16:12] [SPEAKER_05]: And it lands.

[01:16:13] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know if this is fate

[01:16:15] [SPEAKER_05]: or the universe telling me something,

[01:16:18] [SPEAKER_05]: but it landed on its side.

[01:16:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Even fate could not decide which was worse.

[01:16:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Then photoshoesho up to Tony,

[01:16:28] [SPEAKER_05]: where he's now dead wife.

[01:16:30] [SPEAKER_05]: I think she's dead because we never find out.

[01:16:33] [SPEAKER_05]: But she disappears.

[01:16:36] [SPEAKER_05]: Had shot some of these for some reason

[01:16:38] [SPEAKER_05]: that makes a twist in the story.

[01:16:40] [SPEAKER_05]: I think yet, I'm still wondering what the initial plot is

[01:16:44] [SPEAKER_05]: and what the fuck is actually happening.

[01:16:46] [SPEAKER_05]: So horrible music, terrible acting, no plot,

[01:16:49] [SPEAKER_05]: followed by music acting, plot, music acting,

[01:16:53] [SPEAKER_05]: plot, music acting, plot.

[01:16:56] [SPEAKER_05]: And then I realized the movie itself was my circle of fear

[01:17:01] [SPEAKER_05]: fear that I may never survive this film's awfulness.

[01:17:04] [SPEAKER_05]: And I think the most popular word in this movie is mancini

[01:17:08] [SPEAKER_05]: because they set it like 100 times.

[01:17:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Then Lisa, I think found another acting job or job.

[01:17:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Sorry, I mean a job where she's not in the movie

[01:17:19] [SPEAKER_05]: because she disappears and then Tony starts solving a mystery

[01:17:22] [SPEAKER_05]: that I didn't even know was there.

[01:17:25] [SPEAKER_05]: But then Bert Young shows up and Turs not say Rocky,

[01:17:29] [SPEAKER_05]: not even once do this entire movie.

[01:17:32] [SPEAKER_05]: And Rocky's Italian.

[01:17:33] [SPEAKER_05]: So if you're in an Italian movie,

[01:17:35] [SPEAKER_05]: you think Bert Young would be saying Rocky.

[01:17:37] [SPEAKER_05]: And it never said it once.

[01:17:38] [SPEAKER_05]: The lighting goes from dark to light in every other shot.

[01:17:41] [SPEAKER_05]: Lisa comes back to go on a friend date for some reason.

[01:17:44] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know, but gangster show up.

[01:17:46] [SPEAKER_05]: And then there's a shootout that a random murder happens

[01:17:49] [SPEAKER_05]: then the whole time this is our song.

[01:17:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so the whole time I thought they were narcotic cops.

[01:17:58] [SPEAKER_05]: But now they're solving a murder.

[01:17:59] [SPEAKER_05]: But now they're solving a murder.

[01:18:01] [SPEAKER_05]: So I have no idea what is happening.

[01:18:03] [SPEAKER_05]: But what does that have to do with the game?

[01:18:05] [SPEAKER_05]: I just wanted it to end.

[01:18:08] [SPEAKER_05]: And then you know what it did end.

[01:18:10] [SPEAKER_05]: And I cheered and then my circle of fear was finally complete.

[01:18:14] [SPEAKER_05]: This was horrible.

[01:18:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[01:18:16] [SPEAKER_05]: Why anybody would make this is beyond me.

[01:18:20] [SPEAKER_05]: But the ending was funny.

[01:18:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Get tell me about the ending.

[01:18:24] [SPEAKER_05]: Because the killer stabbed themselves in the dick.

[01:18:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Which is how I felt that I may end my life if this had an ended when it did.

[01:18:34] [SPEAKER_05]: I was like, how could I get out of this?

[01:18:36] [SPEAKER_02]: It goes on for another 10 minutes.

[01:18:38] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm just out of my soul.

[01:18:40] [SPEAKER_05]: If this goes on and please further.

[01:18:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Between the music and the acting and the plot,

[01:18:45] [SPEAKER_05]: I thought the only way I'm going to get out of this if I stabbed myself in a day.

[01:18:48] [SPEAKER_05]: But then the guy did it.

[01:18:49] [SPEAKER_05]: So I was like, you know what?

[01:18:50] [SPEAKER_05]: This movie ain't so bad.

[01:18:52] [SPEAKER_05]: I actually think it might have been a mess because this is something some dick stabbing in it.

[01:18:57] [SPEAKER_05]: The dick stabbing got to me and it all worked well.

[01:18:59] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, so there was no relationship between the one story about the mobsters and this.

[01:19:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Not that I could see.

[01:19:05] [SPEAKER_02]: This killer, this, no, not that I could see.

[01:19:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, because I was very, very confused.

[01:19:09] [SPEAKER_02]: I kept on thinking that I must have missed something but I didn't.

[01:19:14] [SPEAKER_05]: No, no, you know what?

[01:19:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Here's the thing.

[01:19:16] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know.

[01:19:18] [SPEAKER_05]: And I watched the whole thing.

[01:19:20] [SPEAKER_05]: But I do have to admit, I did the same thing that you did.

[01:19:22] [SPEAKER_05]: The first time I started watching it, I fell asleep.

[01:19:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, that's like it.

[01:19:25] [SPEAKER_05]: And then I watched it a second time.

[01:19:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Guess what?

[01:19:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[01:19:28] [SPEAKER_05]: I also fell asleep.

[01:19:30] [SPEAKER_05]: But then the third time you got through it.

[01:19:32] [SPEAKER_05]: I got through the whole thing.

[01:19:33] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, see, third time I got along the church.

[01:19:35] [SPEAKER_02]: I watched that scene five minutes over again and then

[01:19:38] [SPEAKER_02]: I was like a light again.

[01:19:39] [SPEAKER_05]: You know what, Marie, whatever you do, don't watch this movie.

[01:19:42] [SPEAKER_05]: It's all over.

[01:19:43] [SPEAKER_05]: And don't have any knives around your dick when you watch it.

[01:19:45] [SPEAKER_05]: That's what I want to tell you.

[01:19:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Because you play, you know what?

[01:19:49] [SPEAKER_02]: It's got to be better than watching this movie.

[01:19:52] [SPEAKER_05]: And if you're not circumcised, you may want to just do that yourself.

[01:19:56] [SPEAKER_05]: All right, so you got to pick a movie there, Buckaroo.

[01:20:00] [SPEAKER_05]: So you've got Casey, me, I haven't added the crow the original

[01:20:07] [SPEAKER_05]: in this bag yet.

[01:20:09] [SPEAKER_05]: So it might be safe to pull for me again, but you know,

[01:20:11] [SPEAKER_02]: so I can pull through anybody's bag?

[01:20:13] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, sure what.

[01:20:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Like, let's, let's part.

[01:20:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Ah, we have an elistor bear bag with us.

[01:20:19] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm going to pull for Mermanz because I don't think Merman understands me.

[01:20:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I don't.

[01:20:25] [SPEAKER_03]: No.

[01:20:26] [SPEAKER_02]: I get you.

[01:20:26] [SPEAKER_02]: I think that I am going to pull something wonderful out of this bag.

[01:20:30] [SPEAKER_02]: By the way, Michael Woods who played Tony, he was in Canadian bacon.

[01:20:35] [SPEAKER_03]: Well, there he came.

[01:20:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, as state trooper number one.

[01:20:39] [SPEAKER_02]: And he was in.

[01:20:41] [SPEAKER_02]: Are you ready for this?

[01:20:43] [SPEAKER_02]: FX2?

[01:20:44] [SPEAKER_02]: As?

[01:20:45] [SPEAKER_02]: Are you ready for this?

[01:20:46] [SPEAKER_05]: State trooper?

[01:20:47] [SPEAKER_02]: Bobster number two.

[01:20:49] [SPEAKER_05]: There you go.

[01:20:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Nice.

[01:20:50] [SPEAKER_02]: And that is his entire cinematic career.

[01:20:53] [SPEAKER_02]: It was also in some TV stuff.

[01:20:56] [SPEAKER_05]: And a little bit perfect though.

[01:20:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, so you had three movies and about five TV series.

[01:21:02] [SPEAKER_05]: All right, so what are you going to see from the mirror this week?

[01:21:04] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know. I can't get the bag open.

[01:21:06] [SPEAKER_02]: Okay, it's one of those zip bags and I kept on zipping at the wrong one.

[01:21:09] [SPEAKER_02]: All zip bags.

[01:21:10] [SPEAKER_02]: You're a zip bag.

[01:21:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Ah, see what I did there?

[01:21:13] [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't do anything.

[01:21:14] [SPEAKER_02]: I just said you're a zip bag.

[01:21:16] [SPEAKER_03]: And Dr. Mr. really hit a bar.

[01:21:18] [SPEAKER_03]: That's all I can to say.

[01:21:19] [SPEAKER_05]: If it's not evident.

[01:21:21] [SPEAKER_02]: I am resealing the bag so that there will be no funny business going on.

[01:21:26] [SPEAKER_05]: That's right.

[01:21:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Ray, while you're doing this right on there,

[01:21:29] [SPEAKER_05]: the crow, the original movie.

[01:21:31] [SPEAKER_05]: Big big.

[01:21:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Hey, are you ready?

[01:21:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah.

[01:21:36] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh...

[01:21:38] [SPEAKER_02]: Sabotage from 2014 Sabotage. Sounds good. What is it?

[01:21:43] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember.

[01:21:44] [SPEAKER_03]: I know it's on TV.

[01:21:45] [SPEAKER_02]: It's on TV.

[01:21:46] [SPEAKER_03]: All they're all on TV.

[01:21:48] [SPEAKER_02]: I mean, it's Arnold Schwarzenegger?

[01:21:50] [SPEAKER_02]: Sounds awesome already.

[01:21:53] [SPEAKER_02]: This did this have a theatrical release?

[01:21:55] [SPEAKER_05]: It did as R&E of course it did.

[01:21:57] [SPEAKER_02]: It says the April 11th on the poster.

[01:22:01] [SPEAKER_02]: Huh, David Ayer.

[01:22:02] [SPEAKER_02]: Arnold Schwarzenegger Sam Werdington.

[01:22:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Terrence Howard.

[01:22:05] [SPEAKER_02]: Well, this is going to be great.

[01:22:06] [SPEAKER_02]: I love Sam.

[01:22:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Why don't love them?

[01:22:08] [SPEAKER_02]: But I love Steve.

[01:22:08] [SPEAKER_02]: I love Terrence Howard.

[01:22:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh...

[01:22:13] [SPEAKER_02]: I am in...

[01:22:14] [SPEAKER_02]: I am at the very least intrigued.

[01:22:17] [SPEAKER_05]: So this had a budget of 35 million

[01:22:19] [SPEAKER_05]: and it had a worldwide gross of 22 million.

[01:22:23] [SPEAKER_05]: So it almost made half its money back.

[01:22:26] [SPEAKER_02]: That's pretty good.

[01:22:27] [SPEAKER_02]: The Arnold and Ed.

[01:22:27] [SPEAKER_02]: And there's a character named Brace in it.

[01:22:29] [SPEAKER_05]: There you go.

[01:22:30] [SPEAKER_05]: So far it sounds like it's a winner.

[01:22:33] [SPEAKER_02]: It's funny that all the characters in this have uh...

[01:22:36] [SPEAKER_02]: have uh...

[01:22:37] [SPEAKER_02]: nicknames.

[01:22:39] [SPEAKER_02]: John Worton is actually John Briecher Worton.

[01:22:43] [SPEAKER_02]: James Murray is James Monster Murray.

[01:22:46] [SPEAKER_02]: Julius Edmonds is Julius Sugar Edmonds.

[01:22:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Eddie Jordan is Eddie neck Jordan.

[01:22:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Joe Phillips is Joe Grindr Phil.

[01:22:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Like they're all.

[01:22:55] [SPEAKER_02]: Every single one of them, they got a nickname.

[01:22:57] [SPEAKER_02]: Tom Pyro Roberts.

[01:22:59] [SPEAKER_02]: It sounds like an 18 maybe it's Tom.

[01:23:02] [SPEAKER_05]: Maybe it's the 18.

[01:23:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Bryce Tripod McNeely.

[01:23:06] [SPEAKER_02]: That's what I'm going to start calling you from now on.

[01:23:08] [SPEAKER_02]: Tripod?

[01:23:09] [SPEAKER_02]: It's because my winner is so big?

[01:23:11] [SPEAKER_05]: No, it's because you've got a giant

[01:23:13] [SPEAKER_05]: thing sticking out of your head from your brain dammit.

[01:23:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh yeah.

[01:23:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Because my winner is not that big.

[01:23:17] [SPEAKER_02]: No, it's very small.

[01:23:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Embarrassingly so.

[01:23:22] [SPEAKER_05]: You know what?

[01:23:22] [SPEAKER_05]: That's almost a perfect transition.

[01:23:25] [SPEAKER_03]: End this.

[01:23:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
