Welcome back ragers to the best movie review podcast on the planet. The rage rolls on from the Film Rage Studio.
This week the Film Rage Crew is short handed as Jim abandoned the boys and went on vacation. What a jerk. He did however do the least he could possibly do as he didn't even phone it in but rather he emailed it in. Bryce will read his half assed review of Borderlands after he and Murman give their opinions on this latest video game adaptation. Then Bryce was the only one that had the gumption to go see It Ends With Us. Is this Blake Lively vehicle as bad as it looks or did it surprise Bryce. With Jim away, at least the podcast has a reasonable runtime as you don't have to suffer through his incoherent ramblings.

[00:00:04] [SPEAKER_01]: It's time to feel the rage!
[00:00:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Welcome to Film Rage where we talk movies in theaters streaming aaaaaaand
[00:00:13] [SPEAKER_01]: Plastic films as well. Directors and actors beware as you cannot hide from the rage.
[00:00:17] [SPEAKER_01]: My name is Bryson, I'm part of the Film Rage crew which also includes...
[00:00:22] [SPEAKER_01]: Jim! But Jim's not here. Where's Jim, Murr?
[00:00:25] [SPEAKER_02]: I don't know. Where's Jim?
[00:00:26] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know. Where's Jim?
[00:00:27] [SPEAKER_02]: It's like, where's Waldo? Where's Jim?
[00:00:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Where's Jim? Oh well. Jim's not around. Apparently...
[00:00:34] [SPEAKER_01]: That's the gross.
[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_01]: And as you can hear, we also have the Murr man.
[00:00:40] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right.
[00:00:41] [SPEAKER_01]: He is in studio. It's kind of exciting. It's just me and Murr.
[00:00:45] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, I do the work with two guys.
[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_01]: This has never been just me and Murr before.
[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_02]: It's weird.
[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. So the introduction's out of the way.
[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's rage on!
[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_02]: All right well, as he said, Jim's not here. So I'll go.
[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Thanks to those who've been supporting us. If you love our independent podcast,

[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_02]: Forward slash.
[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_02]: ...slash of some kind. Film Rage YYC.
[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_02]: If you cannot commit to a membership, you can still buy us a movie rental and
[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_02]: dare us to see a terrible movie. We'll watch it if it played anywhere in a cinema,
[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_02]: anywhere in the world and isn't a kid's movie though.
[00:01:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Apparently we watch those now.
[00:01:36] [SPEAKER_02]: So let's get to raging.
[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_04]: Yes!
[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_00]: What will the amazing Murr member dick?
[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_00]: What will the amazing Murr member dick?
[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_00]: Will he predict the rage or will he predict the bundle?
[00:02:01] [SPEAKER_00]: Swim, Murray, swim.
[00:02:03] [SPEAKER_00]: Swim, Murray, swim.
[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Murray, swim.
[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_02]: I think you're a good singer.
[00:02:08] [SPEAKER_02]: I think so.
[00:02:10] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well there were two major movies out this week.
[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_02]: Me and Jim saw one of them and Bryce managed to see both.
[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_02]: First one was Borderlands, Blockbuster video game movie with Kate Blanchett and Kevin Hart
[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_02]: and Jamie Lee Curtis and some kid.
[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes.
[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_02]: And oh yeah, Jack Black.
[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah!
[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah, well I was there with Jim so I'm pretty much guaranteed he didn't like this one very much.
[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_02]: I think I liked it even less than him so yeah, pretty sure he went rage with that one.
[00:02:48] [SPEAKER_02]: And just using my intuition I think maybe Bryce didn't like it much either so let's go double
[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_02]: rage.
[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Whoa you're really going out on a limb now.
[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_02]: I know I'm taking a risk.
[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_02]: The second one, I don't know it's a rom-com and funny interesting fact.
[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_02]: I didn't see it.
[00:03:07] [SPEAKER_02]: The book was pretty serious and was all about spells of abuse.
[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_02]: But when Blake Lively got a hold of it, she decided she wanted to be a rom-com.
[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_02]: And she apparently convinced whoever it was the powers of B to turn into that and that caused
[00:03:29] [SPEAKER_02]: some friction with the actor slash director of it.
[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah well it's a little bit of onset friction with that so yeah it's lighter than it probably
[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_01]: should.
[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_02]: It's lighter than it probably the book was.
[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_02]: But seeing as it's a rom-com and Blake Lively who you've admitted you don't like and upgrade
[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_02]: an actress I think maybe you rage with that one too.
[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not out of the realm of possibilities there, Murr.
[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_02]: Out of the realm of possibilities.
[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_01]: All right so this is going to be a quick hitter I think Murr because you know we're
[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_01]: going to get in we're going to get out.
[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Pretty much.
[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Let's talk about it better.
[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_01]: So exactly so all you all of those of you that are that are looking forward to our
[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_01]: regular hour and a half of rambling about nothing, you're in for a little bit of a
[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_01]: disappointment because I think we're going to get you out of this podcast in maybe 20 minutes.
[00:04:22] [SPEAKER_02]: And you'll soon realize that Jim does most of the talking on these podcasts.
[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_02]: So without him they're pretty sure.
[00:04:27] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes well he does a lot of talking.
[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_01]: Whether you know it's of substance or not is up to you to decide.
[00:04:36] [SPEAKER_01]: All right so we're going to start with Borderlands.
[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_01]: This offering from Eli Roth continues a long line of popular video games that get made into
[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_01]: terrible movies.
[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_01]: The direction was not existent, the CGI was awful, the actors literally looked bored.
[00:04:55] [SPEAKER_01]: It is not even engaging enough to be bad.
[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_01]: It is worse than that.
[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_01]: And I truly believe this may be the second movie this year written by chat GPT.
[00:05:05] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm pretty sure it is.
[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_01]: The first was bad boys ride or die and I'm pretty sure this is the other.
[00:05:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that there's some chat GPT going on here.
[00:05:14] [SPEAKER_01]: The characters are all underdeveloped and one dimensional and perhaps the biggest
[00:05:19] [SPEAKER_01]: crime this film commits is that we finally get Kate Blanchett in a kick-ass role as
[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_01]: a lady you don't mess with and it ends up being this garbage.
[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_02]: She's done that before but she was better than the other one.
[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_01]: What'd she do it in before?
[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_01]: She was in Ragnarok.
[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_02]: And I guess.
[00:05:36] [SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
[00:05:37] [SPEAKER_02]: She was the god of death or something.
[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_02]: She was.
[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_02]: She kicked Thor's ass all over the place.
[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_01]: She did but now she was like carrying him this movie.
[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean I don't get me wrong she was a major character in the whole.
[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_02]: She was an X-Men is what she was.
[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_01]: So this film is unworthy of her name being associated with it.
[00:05:54] [SPEAKER_01]: Everyone in this thing was phoning it in like absolutely everyone like they all looked bored.
[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Like you could see on the screen that they're like why am I in this movie every single one of them.
[00:06:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Apparently this has been sitting on the shelf for many years and it looks like I can see why.
[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_01]: This is one of the worst things that I've seen this year.
[00:06:17] [SPEAKER_01]: This is Uwe Bolbad as far as video game movies goes.
[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_01]: It is a rage.
[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_02]: You said a lot of stuff I was going to say.
[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah you would think Eli Roth would know a thing or two about directing films and providing some
[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_02]: thrills.
[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_02]: I guess not.
[00:06:37] [SPEAKER_02]: With the cast this loaded including two Oscar-winning actresses and a very popular comedian it
[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_02]: definitely should have been better.
[00:06:47] [SPEAKER_02]: My first problem with the film was casting Kevin Hart.
[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_02]: He's a very funny guy usually in a role as a mostly serious action hero.
[00:06:58] [SPEAKER_02]: All five feet of him.
[00:07:00] [SPEAKER_02]: Um I think he's been hanging around his buddy Duane too long.
[00:07:04] [SPEAKER_02]: Somehow he got it in his head that he could actually do straight up action.
[00:07:08] [SPEAKER_02]: He really can't.
[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah he's comic relief man.
[00:07:11] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah but he wasn't in this movie.
[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_02]: No I know I get it.
[00:07:14] [SPEAKER_02]: He should have been funny then then I would have enjoyed it.
[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_02]: Uh Keep On Chat is so much better than this film.
[00:07:20] [SPEAKER_02]: Yep.
[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_02]: Between the non-stop voiceover narration, the ridiculous character she played and the
[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_02]: terrible fight scenes she was just annoying.
[00:07:28] [SPEAKER_02]: Not as annoying as the kid though.
[00:07:30] [SPEAKER_02]: I kept hoping somebody would actually shoot her.
[00:07:33] [SPEAKER_02]: That didn't happen either.
[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_02]: Much as I hate to admit it, Jack Black was the best thing about this film.
[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_02]: And I can't stand him.
[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_01]: There's a low bar for you Murr.
[00:07:44] [SPEAKER_02]: It's a pretty low bar.
[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_02]: He was actually kind of funny.
[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_02]: Um the story such as it was seemed to be a Mad Max X-Men mashup with a dark Phoenix twist.
[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_02]: Biggest problem as usual is that they took something that could have been an R-rated
[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_02]: comedy and turned it into a PG dud.
[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_01]: It was kind of weird right because it had like all this violence and but it was still so PG.
[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_02]: And it wasn't even Disney it was just whoever did it.
[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_02]: They didn't want to push the envelope so they played it safe.
[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Another reason why it was just uneven.
[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Like yeah I get a 10 and 12 year olds as the ones who play the game but I mean I'm sure there's
[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_02]: rawnt your stuff on the game than there is in the movie.
[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_02]: Yeah it was a hard rage and it was a waste of my time and money.
[00:08:30] [SPEAKER_01]: There you go well we well well I Jim even though he's not here sent me a little snippet of what
[00:08:36] [SPEAKER_01]: what he found it in yes he didn't even phone it in he's done that before and that's fine
[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_01]: he's not even he's doing less than phony in this one nothing right now so anyways he sent
[00:08:49] [SPEAKER_01]: me a little snippet of what he thought of this movie um I was gonna do it in his voice but I
[00:08:55] [SPEAKER_01]: don't know that my voice can go that high um so I'm just gonna read it straight so this is
[00:09:00] [SPEAKER_01]: what Jim thinks of Borderlands.
[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Lord of the Rings meets Star Wars meets a video game.
[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Hmm you know because you got a C3PO slash R2D2 character you got Galadral which I don't even
[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_01]: know what that is.
[00:09:19] [SPEAKER_01]: Alright I hope so hopefully somebody does.
[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_01]: You got a giant wookie beast dude and I guess an Ewok with Kevin Hart?
[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_01]: Our horror.
[00:09:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Video game movies are never anything they get right and this isn't any different the
[00:09:35] [SPEAKER_01]: story is boring and predictable and rated PG for I think 10 year olds he's on the same
[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_01]: wavelength as you there Mer it wasn't funny suspensible or interesting in any way it's a rage.
[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Wow that was quick um he's got some more stuff I might as well read it since he's not here
[00:09:54] [SPEAKER_01]: you know how he likes to yammer on even when he sends us something he likes to unpack stuff
[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_01]: yes he does and here's what he says I would say let's unpack a few things but I'm on holidays
[00:10:04] [SPEAKER_01]: and although I was lucky enough to see this with my little mer man before leaving on vacation
[00:10:10] [SPEAKER_01]: that was the only good thing about this film Eli Roth stick to horror oh wait the soundtrack
[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_01]: was pretty good yeah celebrate one thing Eli ug this was painful except for the music
[00:10:24] [SPEAKER_01]: so and then he goes on to say miss you all and then he asks me to close my ears because
[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_01]: apparently he's too busy eating lobster to try to find any internet so there you go that is what
[00:10:35] [SPEAKER_01]: Jim thought of borderlands right so that seems to be three rages it is yeah it was a very bull bad
[00:10:57] [SPEAKER_01]: oh man oh all right so from there we uh we get a little more serious
[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_01]: but apparently not as serious as we should have been just Blake lively decided that this
[00:11:12] [SPEAKER_01]: needed to lighten up anyways so it ends with us um this is one of those movies that's just too long
[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_01]: and I'm sorry but if you want to cast Blake lively in an ensemble work that's fine she wouldn't
[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_01]: be my first choice but whatever but she just doesn't have the chops to carry a film on her own
[00:11:35] [SPEAKER_01]: even if that film is a glorified soap opera that has so many coincidental coincidental
[00:11:41] [SPEAKER_01]: occurrences you'd swear you were watching an episode of threes company I mean come on she
[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_01]: meets a neurosurgeon on the roof of a building she broke into they part ways but then her
[00:11:53] [SPEAKER_01]: sis his sister ends up working for her in a city of millions and they reconnect oh couldn't
[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_01]: see that happen you know can't see that coming from a mile away and then she starts dating him
[00:12:09] [SPEAKER_01]: and they end up going to a restaurant where her high school sweetheart happens to be the owner
[00:12:17] [SPEAKER_01]: in a city of millions that was convenient really come and knock on our door I mean this was
[00:12:25] [SPEAKER_01]: truly a mosh up of threes company and general hospital but even more convoluted
[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_01]: and then just when you thought it was over we got the big line it ends with us
[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_01]: that she says to her baby girl another convenient occurrence her having a girl because you know
[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_01]: this was about domestic abuse in the whole deal
[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_01]: it then goes even after delivering the line and honestly if they would have ended it there
[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_01]: it's still it's still a terrible movie but at least it would have been a poignant
[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_01]: good ending moment yeah and it was it really was a nice moment but then it goes for another
[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_01]: 10 plus minutes and it spits in the face of feminism as it ends with her getting together
[00:13:18] [SPEAKER_01]: with her high school sweetheart could we not have ended it with her and her newborn having a poignant
[00:13:24] [SPEAKER_01]: moment instead of ending it with the message that she needs a man to be happy I hated this film
[00:13:31] [SPEAKER_01]: it was such a rage you knew that was coming there I had a feeling I think I didn't go see it
[00:13:38] [SPEAKER_01]: honestly like what in the bleep I don't understand why they made this and apparently it's not
[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_01]: as you were saying which I didn't even know it's not true to what the book was apparently no and
[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_01]: and maybe if it was it would have had something more to say but it was just it was not good and
[00:13:56] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sorry Blake lively she yeah she was not good either there were a couple of pretty boys in this
[00:14:01] [SPEAKER_01]: that weren't good yeah you know what I was really uh disappointed in Jenny Slate uh oh yeah she
[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_01]: finally gets a serious role where she can really stretch her acting chops and she's given this
[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_01]: garbage and I just I just felt bad for her as well because she's one of the better things in it
[00:14:20] [SPEAKER_01]: and it was still just awful awful awful hated it yeah I'm not surprised I probably wouldn't like that
[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_02]: either and you know a big fan I am of Ryan Reynolds but that does not extend to his significant
[00:14:32] [SPEAKER_02]: other yeah although she was good for the 10 seconds she was in Deadpool she was excellent
[00:14:37] [SPEAKER_01]: in Deadpool but we didn't have to hear her see she just walked yes I think he's a stunt double for the
[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_02]: fight season there you go uh yeah that's too bad but yeah and I guess it did okay at the box office
[00:14:51] [SPEAKER_02]: but I think it's mostly because of all the bad press I'll tell you something it was the theater I
[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_01]: was in was packed yeah and I'm gonna be raging in a little bit a little bit later about something
[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_01]: but I will tell you that the even the premium seats there was two rows of premium seats in this
[00:15:09] [SPEAKER_02]: and they were all sold for this movie for this movie I don't think they were I don't know what it was
[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_01]: but I get the feeling was it date night although you know what the best thing about this movie I'm
[00:15:22] [SPEAKER_01]: sorry I'm gonna ramble on like Jim because I gotta I gotta fill Jim's shoes we gotta fill some
[00:15:26] [SPEAKER_01]: time exactly there is actually some late some lady she had to be at least 75 that was sitting
[00:15:34] [SPEAKER_01]: behind me yeah talking to her husband and her husband's obviously hard of hearing because she's
[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_01]: just yelling just screaming during the movie oh yeah that was the most entertaining part of
[00:15:45] [SPEAKER_01]: the movie because everybody's like but nobody wants to do too much with her because she's old
[00:15:52] [SPEAKER_01]: and she's entertaining well she is entertaining to me I'm not so sure to everybody else but
[00:15:58] [SPEAKER_01]: she starts out and she goes oh look at her hair my hair used to be that color oh it's like
[00:16:05] [SPEAKER_01]: it's like a strawberry blonde I used to have hair just like that and then she was like oh
[00:16:11] [SPEAKER_01]: what is with that that gentleman scruff he looks scruffy well you should either grow a beard
[00:16:18] [SPEAKER_01]: or shave and it was just she was fantastic now you know why your husband went deaf and
[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_01]: unfortunately the rest of the movie was just terrible oh the merman minute all right
[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_02]: I'm gonna make this quick too you know no we got a stretch stretch mermi only one page this week
[00:16:42] [SPEAKER_02]: sorry all right what do you got yeah so this week we had another video game movie that was
[00:16:47] [SPEAKER_02]: adapted to the big screen yes of course it sucked just as bad as all the rest why won't
[00:16:54] [SPEAKER_02]: Hollywood stop the carnage there have been so many bad movies based on video games I don't
[00:17:00] [SPEAKER_02]: even know where to start yeah oh wait let's start with this one super mario brothers 1993 nice I think
[00:17:07] [SPEAKER_02]: kind of started the whole thing off Bob Hoskins and John Leguizamo and Dennis Hopper yes with the
[00:17:14] [SPEAKER_02]: scalies on his head oh my god that was so bad uh except we have the first of a few uh starring
[00:17:23] [SPEAKER_02]: mr. Dwayne the rock yeah he had a couple rampage yeah rampage rampage is everything you'd want in an
[00:17:30] [SPEAKER_02]: action movie uh explosions mayhem and of course Dwayne Johnson sadly it lacks in just about everything else
[00:17:40] [SPEAKER_02]: then we have one of multiple video game fighting uh double dragon
[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_02]: yeah my god yeah it was just terrible uh and we have another Dwayne Johnson then you uh doom oh god
[00:18:01] [SPEAKER_01]: doom we got the first some first shooter action in that yeah I that was I wasn't really into that
[00:18:07] [SPEAKER_02]: game it was like a pc game and it was slow and it was draggy but yeah you go around corners and
[00:18:13] [SPEAKER_02]: just kill people in other corners that but yeah it was very popular I remember but the last scene in
[00:18:18] [SPEAKER_01]: that where they were the last sequence in that where they actually made it just like the video game
[00:18:23] [SPEAKER_01]: where you've got the gun sticking into the screen and he's like going around corners and stuff
[00:18:28] [SPEAKER_02]: but it all was so bad uh yeah doom is one of those influential games at all time yeah
[00:18:34] [SPEAKER_02]: 20 2005 movie adaption lacks the same impact from the dull cliche written script the lifeless
[00:18:42] [SPEAKER_02]: performances it was just crap yeah doom can go back to hell and stay there no kidding
[00:18:48] [SPEAKER_02]: we have prince of persia the sands of time 2010 I remember watching someone play this game and I'm
[00:18:57] [SPEAKER_02]: like that game looks hard and Jake Gyllenhaal so Persian yeah forgetting for a minute and Jake Gyllenhaal
[00:19:04] [SPEAKER_02]: the star of the movie that was set in the Middle East is not Iranian just the first of its many
[00:19:11] [SPEAKER_02]: problems loud clashing of the swords and distracting use of CGI becomes just overbearing oh it's
[00:19:17] [SPEAKER_02]: terrible drowning out what little story there could have been it's the bad yeah and we have
[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_02]: well there was more than one but this is mortal combat annihilation which is the second one apparently
[00:19:30] [SPEAKER_02]: the first one did quite well I don't know if it was any good but it better at the box office
[00:19:36] [SPEAKER_02]: um this sequel was very bad didn't help that they replaced the director and most of the cast
[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_02]: it's awful that uh what's the name uh not the Anderson you like but the other one
[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_02]: pt Anderson was supposed to direct this oh really he left I would imagine he would he quit
[00:19:57] [SPEAKER_02]: finally we have house of the dead oh god who they seriously they may have a movie out of this game
[00:20:05] [SPEAKER_02]: it's a fun game if you like mindless shooter games where you shoot zombies yeah oh yeah I do
[00:20:11] [SPEAKER_02]: in the film again so the Iranian kids
[00:20:15] [SPEAKER_02]: intend to rave on an island near Seattle only discover everyone's already been killed or turned
[00:20:21] [SPEAKER_02]: into zombies yeah and yeah it was directed by oh oh ove bowl by the way he's done over a dozen of the
[00:20:28] [SPEAKER_02]: it's ridiculous and of course we can't forget sonic the hedgehog oh yeah we we've tried to forget it
[00:20:39] [SPEAKER_02]: but we can't because they keep making them I personally love the game I actually owned a sega
[00:20:45] [SPEAKER_02]: instead of a nintendo yeah I grew up with sonic and not mario yeah uh but the first two movies were
[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_02]: horrible and now there's some kind of spin-off with knuckles it should be noted that on rotten
[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_02]: tomatoes list of the best video games out of the 53 films on that list there were only nine
[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_02]: that scored above the 50 percent yeah I believe nine yep so that doesn't say much but the other 46
[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_02]: they're all terrible and two of those were sonic movies they got like a 70 something like really
[00:21:19] [SPEAKER_02]: they considered that the best of the best oh yeah just stop making video games they they all suck
[00:21:26] [SPEAKER_02]: yeah only ones that only like were maybe the um I like the Tomb Raider even though they were cheesy
[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_01]: and I like their resident evils yeah I like the first resident evil was okay then it kind of I
[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_01]: thought they kind of repeated the ball from there but yeah the only in my opinion the best video game
[00:21:44] [SPEAKER_01]: adaptation and I and I and I can't even say that it's a good adaptation because I have no idea
[00:21:50] [SPEAKER_01]: what the game is but it's going to be like everybody else um the HBO had a the HBO series The Last
[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_02]: of Us yeah these are movies yeah they have tv series yeah for tv series and something called Fallout
[00:22:02] [SPEAKER_01]: yeah people I've heard I've heard good things about fall but that's yeah yeah but no I haven't
[00:22:07] [SPEAKER_01]: seen but yeah you're but yeah that's the only thing that's the only adaptation period of a video
[00:22:12] [SPEAKER_02]: game that I've ever seen yeah I've been I've enjoyed and then the other ones that were
[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_02]: recently on there which I didn't even list was their one was that grand or grand tourism oh god
[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_02]: that was awful and uh I can't wait to know those but yeah they were all they're all crap like no
[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_02]: out of 53 movies they can only find nine that were at a higher than 50 percent yeah and that doesn't
[00:22:30] [SPEAKER_01]: go well and by the way Borderlands is just nobody likes this yeah I know it's everyone hates it
[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_01]: it should it should have stayed on the shelf man do you realize that um Eli Roth his his movie
[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Thanksgiving was made after Borderlands it's been on the shelf so long that Thanksgiving he
[00:22:50] [SPEAKER_02]: made after Borderlands that's for sure oh that was more like his kind of movie yeah well exactly
[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_01]: that's what he should be making it was it was a fun horror movie that's what you should be doing
[00:23:00] [SPEAKER_02]: that's like making a Stephen King movie until like a PG movie like it's not scary like you can't
[00:23:06] [SPEAKER_02]: take away the horror I'm with you brother that's the fun part anyway all right what do we get next
[00:23:15] [SPEAKER_02]: temperature rising
[00:23:18] [SPEAKER_04]: dish and blurring rage taking over
[00:23:46] [SPEAKER_01]: all right so my rage this week is that it's not even really my rage I am I am raging
[00:23:56] [SPEAKER_01]: for the poor couple that was sitting on the end of
[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_01]: of the Isle of the row I was sitting in for what's that crap it ends with us so here's the thing
[00:24:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I bought the premium seat because it was like it was like packed everywhere and I'm like screw it
[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_01]: I'll spend it was like three bucks difference so I'm like whatever so I bought a pretty that
[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_01]: technically should be my rage I bought a premium seat to watch it ends with us but here is what my
[00:24:25] [SPEAKER_01]: rage is if you have the premium the premium seats have basically they're fancier seats there's a
[00:24:32] [SPEAKER_01]: little more privacy the whole deal and they were all sold out but on the ends there's like
[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_01]: there's threes so you can have like a block of three where there's privacy for like three people
[00:24:46] [SPEAKER_01]: right but if you're just a couple and you buy it then you don't really expect someone else to buy
[00:24:53] [SPEAKER_01]: the third seat when there's other seats available in the theater yeah so I was actually standing in
[00:24:58] [SPEAKER_01]: the concession line where the lady in front of me decides you know what I want the premium
[00:25:04] [SPEAKER_01]: seats and he's like okay so he pulls up the premium seats and I can see that they're all
[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_01]: asked yeah all right except for one where it's on the end with the with this couple has already
[00:25:16] [SPEAKER_01]: bought this seat and she takes that one and I'm like oh my god lady but I didn't say anything so
[00:25:24] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm in the theater and I'm kind of looking and I'm kind of leaning over to look
[00:25:28] [SPEAKER_01]: and finally these guys come in and they're it's during the trailers of course and you can see
[00:25:33] [SPEAKER_01]: their faces just drop somebody's already sitting when they see someone sitting in the third
[00:25:38] [SPEAKER_01]: seat yeah it's like come on lady there was a whole theater you could have been in they all
[00:25:43] [SPEAKER_01]: have nice reclining seats did you really have to sit in this it's like that's just that's just
[00:25:50] [SPEAKER_01]: wrong I mean I can understand if it was completely packed was there were seats available one of those
[00:25:55] [SPEAKER_02]: couches yeah so basically it's like a couch like so yeah armrest though they have arm there's
[00:26:01] [SPEAKER_01]: an armrest that kind of folds up folds down okay but how they have it is that you still get
[00:26:06] [SPEAKER_01]: it's a little it's a set it's a set of three but the actual the other one is actually a separate seat
[00:26:12] [SPEAKER_01]: so there is kind of a couch and then want a separate seat so that arm goes up but the
[00:26:16] [SPEAKER_01]: other one doesn't yeah but and you get the extra wide and everything but come on lady don't
[00:26:23] [SPEAKER_01]: don't sit because it's that poor couple like if you could literally just see their faces drop
[00:26:27] [SPEAKER_02]: it happens to us all the time like we'll go to a movie it'll be almost empty yeah
[00:26:32] [SPEAKER_02]: it'd be just just two of us yeah and then sure enough somebody will sit in the seat right next to
[00:26:37] [SPEAKER_02]: us right next to us getting an empty theater and you picked where the only two people in the whole
[00:26:41] [SPEAKER_01]: theater are sitting well imagine if you spent extra on those seats man and so it's that time yeah I'd
[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_02]: be so that's my right I would actually move I don't care how much I would have to do a
[00:26:52] [SPEAKER_02]: different I would have said okay lady it's all you have it yep wouldn't be worth it oh well
[00:26:57] [SPEAKER_02]: yeah people suck they do
[00:27:01] [SPEAKER_02]: rage subside
[00:27:04] [SPEAKER_04]: plus sign
