[00:00:04] [SPEAKER_05]: It's time to feel the rage! Welcome to Film Rage where we talk movies, in theaters streaming

[00:00:12] [SPEAKER_05]: and classic films as well. Directors and actors beware, as you cannot hide from the

[00:00:17] [SPEAKER_05]: rage. My name is Bryson and I'm part of the Film Rage crew which also includes Jim.

[00:00:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Hey there Jim. Hey hey, Brys. And Merman's missing again. Where's Merman?

[00:00:28] [SPEAKER_09]: He is working at the Calgary Stampede doing triple quadruple quintuples shifts. He's getting

[00:00:39] [SPEAKER_09]: 30 seconds of sleep and he's still wearing his mancini slash tight fitting black leotard.

[00:00:50] [SPEAKER_05]: It's like a unitard isn't it? Oh yeah, it's totally.

[00:00:52] [SPEAKER_05]: It's like one piece that just slips into it.

[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_09]: I always kind of attributed to, you know, Mike Myers when he used to do that skit on Saturday

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_09]: Live when he was in that black. That's what I imagine Murray looks like right now.

[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Nice. Right? Thanks for putting that picture in my head. You're very welcome.

[00:01:08] [SPEAKER_05]: So with the introductions out of the way, let's rage on.

[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_09]: Well, thanks to all of you who are bornings. If you love our independent podcast or even

[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_09]: like it a little bit, please like, subscribe, share and give us five star rating on your

[00:01:22] [SPEAKER_09]: listening platform or support us and join the Film Rage community by joining our membership

[00:01:25] [SPEAKER_09]: at buy me a coffee dot com forward slash Film Rage YYC. If you cannot commit to membership,

[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_09]: you can still buy us a movie rental and dare us to see a terrible film.

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_09]: And we'll watch it if it played anywhere in a world in a cinema.

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_09]: And that's it. That's all the rules. Although maybe after today we're going to get

[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_09]: braced to change his mind, but who knows? Time will tell.

[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_04]: Time will tell. Time always tells. It does tell.

[00:01:56] [SPEAKER_09]: That's what time does. It does. It heals all wounds and it tells.

[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_05]: It does so much. Yeah, it's the best. Time's pretty good. Yeah. I always wish I had more of it.

[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, me too. And Morris Day, who can who can beat his voice.

[00:02:12] [SPEAKER_04]: True.

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Jungle love. Oh, we owe you.

[00:02:20] [SPEAKER_04]: Anyways, yeah.

[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_09]: Does it love our intros? That's what I want to know.

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes, I don't even know if I'm hitting the right button, but let's try this one.

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_09]: Let's try it. See what happens.

[00:02:34] [SPEAKER_05]: No, that's not it. It's close. So what's this?

[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_09]: It's not it. That's the one.

[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_04]: Perfect. All right.

[00:03:13] [SPEAKER_02]: Swim swim swim.

[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_05]: That was terrible. It was the worst. I missed my cue to start.

[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_10]: I tried to make up for it. You know what? Murray's just Murray deserves better.

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_10]: Yeah, plus also, you know, Murray keeps us on track when it's just us two idiots.

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_10]: It's like nobody. We don't have to operate the machines.

[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what buttons to push. I pressed. I got to the button eventually.

[00:03:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, eventually. You know, you hit enough buttons.

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_09]: You know what? There's there's a reason that Murray is on our podcast

[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_09]: other than just for his beautiful unit art.

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_05]: Is he going to wear that to the podcast?

[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_05]: I can hope so. All right.

[00:03:52] [SPEAKER_09]: So the fabulous Merman has given us his predictions.

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_09]: So the two movies that Jim and Bryce saw in cinemas this week

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_09]: was Despicable Me 4 and Maxine.

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_09]: So the Merman predicted Despicable Me because he knows I love animated features.

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_09]: He gave me thinking it was going to be a Mondo.

[00:04:17] What?

[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_09]: And that Bryce would give it a Mac because it's an animated film and Bryce also doesn't hate animated films.

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_09]: No, I don't.

[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, exactly.

[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_09]: And then he thought because you loved Pearl and I loved X

[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_09]: that together when Maxine came out, we would both give it a double Mondo.

[00:04:40] [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, yeah.

[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_09]: He's he's he's giving out Mondos like candy this week.

[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_09]: He must be in so much joy because he has a new job.

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, we may never see the Merman again.

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_09]: Just letting everybody know you may just get snippets of the Merman

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_09]: and maybe pictures of his unit art in the future on our socials.

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_09]: Nice.

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_09]: All right. Well, let's talk about DM4.

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_09]: That sounds cool.

[00:05:04] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, Despicable Me 4.

[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, I had transition you did there too.

[00:05:08] [SPEAKER_09]: You're almost like a DJ now or something.

[00:05:10] [SPEAKER_05]: I got I got all the moves.

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_02]: I know what you're doing right now.

[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_09]: Spinning the record DJ.

[00:05:23] [SPEAKER_09]: Spin the record DJ.

[00:05:25] [SPEAKER_05]: So Despicable Me 4 this one was this was a bit of a surprise.

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_05]: What?

[00:05:32] [SPEAKER_05]: This was like

[00:05:37] [SPEAKER_05]: this is one of the dirtiest films that I've ever seen.

[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_05]: Like I can't believe this was for kids.

[00:05:42] [SPEAKER_05]: So basically what this was about

[00:05:45] [SPEAKER_05]: where are you going with this?

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_05]: Well, did you not watch the same movie as me?

[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_09]: I think so.

[00:05:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay, so Despicable Me 4 it starts out and

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_05]: he ends up how I guess he's got this rivalry with

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_05]: what's his name?

[00:06:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Maxine.

[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_05]: I think it's Will Ferrell that plays him.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_05]: So anyways, he's got this man and this guy he turns himself into a cockroach.

[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:06:12] [SPEAKER_05]: But then they but and he's kind of evil but they catch him right

[00:06:16] [SPEAKER_05]: and then he goes to maximum security prison but

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_05]: but he says to to grew.

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_05]: That's the main guy in Despicable Me right.

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_05]: The franchise yeah.

[00:06:26] [SPEAKER_05]: He says that you know he's gonna get him.

[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_06]: Right?

[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, yeah.

[00:06:30] [SPEAKER_05]: So then grew is like yeah whatever you're going to jail.

[00:06:32] [SPEAKER_05]: What do I care?

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_05]: That's right.

[00:06:33] [SPEAKER_09]: And he's super accent.

[00:06:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah exactly.

[00:06:36] [SPEAKER_05]: So but then he gets out so they got to put grew into

[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_05]: into like witness protection.

[00:06:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_09]: Right.

[00:06:43] [SPEAKER_09]: Where's the dirty part?

[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_09]: Oh it's coming.

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_09]: Okay.

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_05]: So grew goes to witness protection with his

[00:06:49] [SPEAKER_05]: with his three kind of main minions.

[00:06:51] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_05]: And then the rest of the minions go to whatever the organization

[00:06:55] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh right.

[00:06:56] [SPEAKER_05]: A part of right that now I didn't even realize that grew was like a bad guy

[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_05]: but apparently he's good.

[00:07:03] [SPEAKER_09]: He was a bad guy in the first one.

[00:07:04] [SPEAKER_09]: He was despicable.

[00:07:05] [SPEAKER_05]: I kind of forgot but anyways it doesn't matter.

[00:07:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Here's where it really gets interesting.

[00:07:12] [SPEAKER_05]: So first of all the rest of the menus go and they decide

[00:07:16] [SPEAKER_05]: that they're going to turn these minions into these weird superheroes.

[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Was that what it was?

[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:07:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Because I thought they were turning them into sex toys.

[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_05]: No.

[00:07:26] [SPEAKER_05]: Because one of them was definitely he goes into the they put these five into the

[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_05]: machine.

[00:07:31] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_05]: One of them all of them come out.

[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_05]: One of them is definitely just a regular old dildo.

[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:07:38] [SPEAKER_05]: There's no question.

[00:07:39] [SPEAKER_09]: Is his stretchy dildo.

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:07:41] [SPEAKER_05]: Stretchy dildo.

[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:07:42] [SPEAKER_05]: One of them is unquestionably a bot plug.

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_05]: Totally.

[00:07:45] [SPEAKER_05]: There's no question.

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Absolutely.

[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_08]: What is the Benoit ball?

[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Well yeah.

[00:07:50] [SPEAKER_05]: One of them is like an oversized Benoit.

[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:07:53] [SPEAKER_05]: One of them was is definitely like one of those.

[00:07:58] [SPEAKER_05]: Those kind of clip vibrators.

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:08:00] [SPEAKER_05]: Totally.

[00:08:01] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:08:02] [SPEAKER_05]: Yep.

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_05]: And then the other one.

[00:08:03] [SPEAKER_08]: What about the laser eye one?

[00:08:05] [SPEAKER_05]: That's a clip one.

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_03]: It's even shaped like a one of those.

[00:08:09] [SPEAKER_03]: You know and then one would hurt a lot of it.

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_05]: And one of them is one of those those those butt plugs that you actually pump

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_05]: up.

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_09]: Oh yes.

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_09]: Totally.

[00:08:18] [SPEAKER_05]: So I'm like what is going on?

[00:08:21] [SPEAKER_09]: What is happening right now?

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_05]: So like that I'm like okay that's that's weird.

[00:08:25] [SPEAKER_05]: So this was a Mando then.

[00:08:26] [SPEAKER_05]: So then so then that's one side of the story.

[00:08:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Then you go to the Gru side of the story and then all of a sudden

[00:08:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Gru is being like seduced by the next door neighbor's daughter.

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_05]: It was kind of creepy.

[00:08:40] [SPEAKER_05]: And it was it was like everything was so wrong.

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_05]: It's like she invites him by himself into her tree house.

[00:08:47] [SPEAKER_05]: And I'm like this is so wrong and it's trying to seduce.

[00:08:51] [SPEAKER_05]: She's grooming him.

[00:08:52] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't understand what's going on.

[00:08:54] [SPEAKER_05]: Like Gru should not be in this tree house with this with this

[00:08:58] [SPEAKER_05]: underage girl by himself unsupervised.

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_05]: Like this is kind of creepy at this point.

[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_05]: And I'm like what is going on?

[00:09:07] [SPEAKER_05]: But she's totally into them.

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_05]: I mean there is no question that she wants she wants

[00:09:12] [SPEAKER_05]: herself some Gru.

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:09:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Who doesn't?

[00:09:15] [SPEAKER_05]: So I'm like this is so weird.

[00:09:18] [SPEAKER_05]: So you've got these two separate stories and in their own way

[00:09:21] [SPEAKER_05]: they're like a way like I thought that this movie was for like kids.

[00:09:26] [SPEAKER_05]: But this is one of the dirtiest movies I've seen since

[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_05]: like Fritz the cat.

[00:09:31] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.

[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah for animation or anything by Bakshi from the 70s or 80s.

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.

[00:09:37] [SPEAKER_09]: So I would say it's at least on par with that.

[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_09]: Maybe a little bit.

[00:09:42] [SPEAKER_09]: I mean I don't think I don't think five year olds went to this

[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_09]: saw what you saw because unless they're looking in their

[00:09:49] [SPEAKER_09]: mommies and daddy's bedroom dresser drawers they're not

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_05]: going to know those five year olds are pretty sharp these days.

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_05]: I think I'm pretty sure they would they know the kids in

[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_09]: South Park.

[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm sure they're going mom why is there a why did why did

[00:10:03] [SPEAKER_03]: the minion turn into a butt plug?

[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.

[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Like the one guy and then what does mommy say to that?

[00:10:08] [SPEAKER_09]: Mommy says that's what they yeah for sure.

[00:10:15] [SPEAKER_10]: Or mommy says yeah for sure.

[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_10]: Maybe she says you're too young to talk about butt plugs yet

[00:10:22] [SPEAKER_09]: wait till you're at least of age maybe and then that's

[00:10:25] [SPEAKER_09]: my point so why did they put it in the movie.

[00:10:28] [SPEAKER_09]: You know what so that adults had something to watch I guess

[00:10:31] [SPEAKER_09]: because that's the only thing I can think of at any rate.

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_05]: I was a little confused at the sexual in the innuendo.

[00:10:38] [SPEAKER_09]: I was a little understandable especially because you didn't see

[00:10:41] [SPEAKER_05]: the other prequels to this and I was a little confused by

[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_05]: the whole kind of Lolita thing they were doing with

[00:10:47] [SPEAKER_09]: group there was also a honey badger and there was a honey

[00:10:50] [SPEAKER_05]: badger so don't I'm not even go there but yeah this was

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_05]: a dirty dirty movie but I still even though there was

[00:11:00] [SPEAKER_05]: stuff in it that kind of made me raise my eyebrow and

[00:11:02] [SPEAKER_05]: I was and I guess it was maybe it was done for shock value

[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know but it was it wasn't good though.

[00:11:10] [SPEAKER_05]: I did not I laughed at the beginning when the goat pooped

[00:11:16] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah that was good which was also a little dirty yeah dirty filthy little goat

[00:11:21] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah unicorn they literally show this goat like pooping on screen

[00:11:25] [SPEAKER_05]: like a whole bunch of little poop pellets yeah it's like

[00:11:28] [SPEAKER_05]: a dirty sand chest or something but I must say that for some reason

[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_05]: that made me laugh yeah why not of course and then it's pooping

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_05]: and then I was just kind of in shock and all the rest of the

[00:11:38] [SPEAKER_09]: way with all the sexual stuff there was a so is it still

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_05]: make it to a no it doesn't even make it to a man I actually I

[00:11:46] [SPEAKER_05]: found this really really boring which is weird with all the

[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_05]: stuff that because I mean they tried to put some stuff in there

[00:11:52] [SPEAKER_05]: that was gonna kind of shock me and kind of make me go wow

[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_09]: pedophilia yeah all dirty Sanchez yeah there is so much so much

[00:12:01] [SPEAKER_05]: so much dirty but it just goes to show you just because you stick

[00:12:05] [SPEAKER_05]: stuff like that in doesn't make it entertaining this was a

[00:12:07] [SPEAKER_05]: poop does not mean a Mondo yeah which which honestly before

[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_05]: this movie I thought it did yeah I thought it did it was a

[00:12:14] [SPEAKER_05]: rule for me so I get it it doesn't this was actually a

[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_05]: rage and I'm sad to say it because I that means usually

[00:12:22] [SPEAKER_05]: pretty because there's usually something you know is it there

[00:12:25] [SPEAKER_05]: you watch them and there's there's some you're gonna laugh a few

[00:12:27] [SPEAKER_05]: times this I was I was pretty bored yeah even you know not

[00:12:31] [SPEAKER_09]: good seeing the butt plug minion should have been funny I

[00:12:34] [SPEAKER_05]: mean wasn't did it make me smile yeah but didn't make me laugh

[00:12:39] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah but yeah I dig it yeah so yeah so yeah that was and

[00:12:44] [SPEAKER_05]: I mean that was a cool concept other than the fact I

[00:12:46] [SPEAKER_05]: don't know what it was for I don't think it was for kids

[00:12:48] [SPEAKER_05]: but well let me tell you what I thought of it but yeah this

[00:12:51] [SPEAKER_09]: was a rage okay yeah all right so in preparation of

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_09]: seeing dm4 mm-hmm yeah or maybe it's minions 5 I always

[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_09]: get those two mixed up I think I might have said that six

[00:13:03] [SPEAKER_05]: times the night we watched it to DM4 and there's only been

[00:13:06] [SPEAKER_05]: one million oh right yeah but there has been five so you

[00:13:09] [SPEAKER_05]: could call it minions five yes because there you go would

[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_05]: there be a despicable me franchise without the

[00:13:14] [SPEAKER_09]: minions you know what I'm confused let's talk more and

[00:13:19] [SPEAKER_09]: maybe I'll change my opinion by the way before you continue

[00:13:22] [SPEAKER_05]: yeah I am looking forward to the next one because I think

[00:13:25] [SPEAKER_05]: they might just get dirtier and at that point it's going

[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_05]: to be the tie West version maybe I'm gonna go anyways

[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_09]: go ahead all right so yeah I decided to watch all the

[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_09]: prequels to this holy crap of them because that's me

[00:13:43] [SPEAKER_09]: I'm dedicated to this podcast that's like six hours

[00:13:45] [SPEAKER_09]: of you and Jim yeah so the franchise has a model that it

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_09]: follows and this film is no exception grew bonds with his

[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_09]: family a silly arch nemesis is brought into the show the

[00:13:58] [SPEAKER_09]: family and minions get involved this gets silly with

[00:14:03] [SPEAKER_09]: action film ripoffs slash homages the bad guys get

[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_09]: caught and grew becomes friends with them and then

[00:14:10] [SPEAKER_09]: everybody lives happily ever after mm-hmm oh yeah and

[00:14:14] [SPEAKER_09]: the kids stay the same age they were when they first met

[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_09]: him even after he got married had sex and then they had a

[00:14:23] [SPEAKER_09]: baby which is about a year old in this and yet the kids

[00:14:27] [SPEAKER_09]: are all the same age huh so for the most part there is

[00:14:33] [SPEAKER_09]: no rationale for why stuff happens like the Simpsons

[00:14:38] [SPEAKER_09]: I know but the Simpsons doesn't really change anything and

[00:14:44] [SPEAKER_09]: they don't really change anything could just be a day in

[00:14:46] [SPEAKER_09]: the life of but this is like they had a baby so the

[00:14:49] [SPEAKER_09]: baby is older like Maggie's Maggie like they didn't add

[00:14:52] [SPEAKER_09]: another baby and that baby got older there right so yeah

[00:14:57] [SPEAKER_09]: so anyway where was I oh yeah so for the most part

[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_09]: there's no rationale for why stuff happens and and

[00:15:03] [SPEAKER_09]: always things are not really made with common sense

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_09]: and follow the same rules that cartoons and superhero films

[00:15:12] [SPEAKER_09]: follow because they're made for children and if

[00:15:16] [SPEAKER_09]: children like it they bring their parents and then

[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_09]: everybody wins well here's a hint not everybody

[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_09]: wins the problem is this story is now four plus

[00:15:29] [SPEAKER_09]: a minions film old and the story is old the jokes

[00:15:32] [SPEAKER_09]: are the same and they appear to be getting progressively

[00:15:35] [SPEAKER_09]: less funny and less interesting I found a couple

[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_09]: of scenes funny as you've mentioned the poop scene is

[00:15:42] [SPEAKER_09]: one yep for the most part I was bored like this

[00:15:46] [SPEAKER_09]: boring wasn't it actually really boring and of

[00:15:48] [SPEAKER_09]: course adding a baby kind of like invincibles made

[00:15:54] [SPEAKER_09]: it even less original yeah but did I mention that

[00:15:59] [SPEAKER_09]: the kids are all the same age yeah even after

[00:16:03] [SPEAKER_09]: a baby is a year old so they still had to have sex

[00:16:06] [SPEAKER_09]: it had to just state and then the babies a year old

[00:16:09] [SPEAKER_09]: and the kids are still the same age alright so

[00:16:13] [SPEAKER_09]: they make minions superheroes or you know sex

[00:16:17] [SPEAKER_09]: toys depending on how you viewed it which

[00:16:19] [SPEAKER_09]: just seems kind of par for the course in these

[00:16:22] [SPEAKER_09]: type of movies if I was a child that had never

[00:16:25] [SPEAKER_09]: seen a dm film before I might have liked this

[00:16:30] [SPEAKER_09]: just a little bit cuz but then I'm not and I

[00:16:36] [SPEAKER_09]: literally watched all four of the other ones

[00:16:38] [SPEAKER_09]: before this and this one is by far the

[00:16:41] [SPEAKER_09]: worst and it's boring it was a rage I hated

[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_09]: it you know the whole movie I was like

[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_09]: sighing all the way through it is good thing

[00:16:46] [SPEAKER_09]: Murray wasn't there with us would have been

[00:16:48] [SPEAKER_09]: a he would have he would have said oh yeah

[00:16:50] [SPEAKER_09]: he's definitely not giving this

[00:16:53] [SPEAKER_09]: rage rage yeah this this was this was not

[00:16:58] [SPEAKER_09]: good no you know in contrast to that three

[00:17:03] [SPEAKER_09]: was actually pretty good was it three might

[00:17:05] [SPEAKER_09]: have been the best one because I honestly

[00:17:08] [SPEAKER_05]: don't remember I watched all and I don't

[00:17:10] [SPEAKER_09]: remember any of it had tree Parker in it

[00:17:12] [SPEAKER_09]: the villain in yeah and I think wait let me

[00:17:16] [SPEAKER_05]: just double check yeah it's true yeah

[00:17:18] [SPEAKER_05]: that would have that was the one with the

[00:17:20] [SPEAKER_09]: in Kristen wigs in it yeah Tray Parker's in

[00:17:23] [SPEAKER_09]: it and his character was funny and

[00:17:26] [SPEAKER_09]: that's where they introduced the goat in

[00:17:27] [SPEAKER_09]: the first place that the kid thought was a

[00:17:29] [SPEAKER_09]: unicorn it was fun I didn't mind three

[00:17:33] [SPEAKER_09]: but for is like poopy yeah it's the

[00:17:38] [SPEAKER_09]: poop no more yeah or no more for no

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_09]: more please stop making these fucking

[00:17:42] [SPEAKER_09]: minion movies this is what you get when

[00:17:45] [SPEAKER_09]: we're expected to watch kids movies yeah

[00:17:48] [SPEAKER_05]: if you want us to keep on making these

[00:17:50] [SPEAKER_05]: just put them put them direct to freaking

[00:17:53] [SPEAKER_04]: Disney plus yeah we don't have to watch

[00:17:55] [SPEAKER_04]: we don't have to watch I guess it wouldn't

[00:17:57] [SPEAKER_04]: be on Disney plus because it's dream or

[00:17:58] [SPEAKER_09]: no I think it don't they all illumination

[00:18:03] [SPEAKER_05]: illumination I don't think so I'm

[00:18:06] [SPEAKER_09]: trying to think of where I have

[00:18:07] [SPEAKER_05]: probably Disney freaking owns everything

[00:18:09] [SPEAKER_05]: but no I don't think so all right well

[00:18:11] [SPEAKER_09]: let's transition from kids movies to

[00:18:15] [SPEAKER_09]: non kids movies max Maxine triple X I and

[00:18:20] [SPEAKER_09]: E so Ty West Ma triple X and the pearl

[00:18:27] [SPEAKER_09]: slash Maxine trilogy yes Ty West has

[00:18:32] [SPEAKER_09]: this ability in this trilogy to capture

[00:18:35] [SPEAKER_09]: the era nails influences that have put

[00:18:39] [SPEAKER_09]: breath into each of these films in this

[00:18:43] [SPEAKER_09]: one it is it is tying this to the

[00:18:47] [SPEAKER_09]: night stalker serial killer from I

[00:18:49] [SPEAKER_09]: think it's Los Angeles it had that

[00:18:52] [SPEAKER_09]: gritty 80s cop thriller nailed to me it

[00:18:55] [SPEAKER_09]: kind of felt a bit like cruising from

[00:18:58] [SPEAKER_09]: freaking and you know how much I love

[00:19:01] [SPEAKER_09]: freaking when he's good when Freed

[00:19:03] [SPEAKER_09]: comes on he's fucking on first when

[00:19:06] [SPEAKER_09]: he's not on he's not freaking I guess

[00:19:09] [SPEAKER_09]: I don't know starring of course the once

[00:19:12] [SPEAKER_09]: or I want to say almost great al Pacino

[00:19:16] [SPEAKER_09]: and probably the best al Pacino has

[00:19:18] [SPEAKER_09]: ever been because you know what if

[00:19:20] [SPEAKER_09]: you're going to a great gay bar and you

[00:19:23] [SPEAKER_09]: get to see fisting in a movie that's

[00:19:26] [SPEAKER_04]: real drama that's that is that is some

[00:19:29] [SPEAKER_09]: drama yeah you've seen the uncut

[00:19:31] [SPEAKER_09]: version of course right yeah it's like

[00:19:33] [SPEAKER_09]: the best scene in the whole movie and

[00:19:35] [SPEAKER_09]: I think it I think that was you that I

[00:19:37] [SPEAKER_09]: saw in the movie pretty sure that was you

[00:19:41] [SPEAKER_05]: were in that scene I was that wasn't me

[00:19:43] [SPEAKER_05]: it just looked like okay thought it was

[00:19:47] [SPEAKER_05]: okay so I was I was pretty young at that

[00:19:50] [SPEAKER_09]: time yeah but you know so I was a

[00:19:53] [SPEAKER_05]: curious little guy though you did like

[00:19:55] [SPEAKER_09]: things in your butt so this had such a

[00:19:58] [SPEAKER_09]: great feel for the first half of the

[00:20:00] [SPEAKER_09]: film with a good pace as we catch up

[00:20:03] [SPEAKER_09]: with our final girl Maxine from her

[00:20:06] [SPEAKER_09]: escapades or should I call them sex

[00:20:09] [SPEAKER_09]: capades with Pearl and Howard from X but

[00:20:14] [SPEAKER_09]: personally what I loved about X yeah was

[00:20:19] [SPEAKER_09]: the homage to the 70 slasher but with

[00:20:22] [SPEAKER_09]: the twists in my opinion that he put

[00:20:24] [SPEAKER_09]: into X in my opinion were sheer

[00:20:27] [SPEAKER_09]: brilliance like adding in the creepy

[00:20:30] [SPEAKER_09]: old people and having them be the

[00:20:31] [SPEAKER_09]: killers was such was such a spin

[00:20:34] [SPEAKER_09]: yeah but this one like pearl for me I

[00:20:40] [SPEAKER_09]: could see it coming almost from frame

[00:20:42] [SPEAKER_09]: one and by the time we got to the end

[00:20:46] [SPEAKER_09]: it's old and tired already and to be

[00:20:48] [SPEAKER_09]: honest I was and you heard me I was

[00:20:51] [SPEAKER_09]: laughing a couple time at the

[00:20:52] [SPEAKER_09]: transparency of the film there was a

[00:20:54] [SPEAKER_09]: scene the best the scene that made me

[00:20:56] [SPEAKER_09]: lose my absolute shit which I don't

[00:20:58] [SPEAKER_09]: think was supposed to be funny was

[00:21:00] [SPEAKER_09]: when the woman cop they're at the

[00:21:02] [SPEAKER_09]: thing

[00:21:03] [SPEAKER_09]: okay you stay here I'm gonna run up

[00:21:04] [SPEAKER_10]: and I'm gonna take care of business

[00:21:06] [SPEAKER_10]: and then she comes rolling down the

[00:21:09] [SPEAKER_10]: stairs like that she falls off the

[00:21:13] [SPEAKER_10]: cliff and I'm just like what and it

[00:21:14] [SPEAKER_10]: has that canned has that can scream

[00:21:17] [SPEAKER_10]: effect when someone falls from the

[00:21:20] [SPEAKER_09]: 1920s that was weird that was just

[00:21:21] [SPEAKER_09]: like the I just couldn't stop laughing

[00:21:23] [SPEAKER_09]: it was so funny and I know sometimes

[00:21:29] [SPEAKER_09]: predictable can feel great and I say

[00:21:32] [SPEAKER_09]: this in the hands of a great director

[00:21:35] [SPEAKER_09]: right predictable can still not always

[00:21:37] [SPEAKER_09]: bad absolutely brilliant did you hear

[00:21:40] [SPEAKER_09]: what I said though a great director

[00:21:43] [SPEAKER_04]: what you're not saying that I know I

[00:21:47] [SPEAKER_09]: love the music in this film I love

[00:21:49] [SPEAKER_09]: the style that tie creates as far as

[00:21:51] [SPEAKER_09]: style like maybe he needs to be in

[00:21:56] [SPEAKER_09]: cinematography and maybe not

[00:21:59] [SPEAKER_09]: direction but he also has some good

[00:22:01] [SPEAKER_09]: writing chops but this the final

[00:22:04] [SPEAKER_09]: act of this just falls apart as as

[00:22:08] [SPEAKER_09]: usual Mia goth is mesmerizing Kevin

[00:22:10] [SPEAKER_09]: Bacon is the best Kevin Bacon has

[00:22:13] [SPEAKER_09]: ever been in any movie he's ever

[00:22:15] [SPEAKER_09]: been the gore is great that's can

[00:22:18] [SPEAKER_09]: you please get that right

[00:22:20] [SPEAKER_09]: there you go the gore is great

[00:22:23] [SPEAKER_09]: including the head explosion the

[00:22:25] [SPEAKER_09]: ball stomp the next slices but this

[00:22:29] [SPEAKER_09]: is the third and also the worst of

[00:22:32] [SPEAKER_09]: the trilogy but it still ekes out a

[00:22:35] [SPEAKER_09]: man because it was still fun I liked

[00:22:36] [SPEAKER_09]: it it was it was okay it was fun I

[00:22:39] [SPEAKER_09]: liked it for the most part I think

[00:22:41] [SPEAKER_09]: tie West needs to have maybe

[00:22:43] [SPEAKER_09]: collaboration better because like

[00:22:46] [SPEAKER_09]: this this really fell apart in the

[00:22:49] [SPEAKER_09]: third act but he's shown that he

[00:22:51] [SPEAKER_05]: can do it too with X so and in my

[00:22:54] [SPEAKER_05]: opinion Pearl as well you like Pearl

[00:22:56] [SPEAKER_05]: better than yeah but they were both

[00:22:59] [SPEAKER_05]: very very good yeah this one yeah not

[00:23:02] [SPEAKER_05]: quite as good this one was a little

[00:23:05] [SPEAKER_05]: more ambitious to though there was

[00:23:07] [SPEAKER_05]: you know more sets more characters

[00:23:10] [SPEAKER_05]: more but also a way it felt like it

[00:23:12] [SPEAKER_05]: went on it was it was a bigger

[00:23:14] [SPEAKER_05]: movie so yeah there was there was a

[00:23:17] [SPEAKER_05]: lot more going on in this movie than

[00:23:19] [SPEAKER_05]: any movies made before the other

[00:23:20] [SPEAKER_05]: ones kind of were you know contained

[00:23:26] [SPEAKER_05]: within a within a spot a spot and it

[00:23:30] [SPEAKER_05]: wasn't as sprawling as this movie and

[00:23:32] [SPEAKER_05]: once this one got sprawling it that's

[00:23:34] [SPEAKER_05]: when it kind of fell apart a little

[00:23:36] [SPEAKER_05]: now that doesn't mean that he can't

[00:23:38] [SPEAKER_05]: get better and he won't be better but

[00:23:40] [SPEAKER_05]: at the same time as you mentioned he

[00:23:42] [SPEAKER_05]: nails eras you feel like you're

[00:23:45] [SPEAKER_05]: there yep it's it's such a it's such

[00:23:48] [SPEAKER_05]: a gritty film in in parts that I I

[00:23:52] [SPEAKER_05]: actually still loved parts of this

[00:23:55] [SPEAKER_09]: film yes of course but the sum of its

[00:23:58] [SPEAKER_05]: parts not make it not didn't make it

[00:24:01] [SPEAKER_05]: because it yeah and as you say you get

[00:24:04] [SPEAKER_05]: you get to the climax and there was it

[00:24:06] [SPEAKER_05]: was just it almost got slapped together

[00:24:09] [SPEAKER_05]: some of it didn't make sense I don't

[00:24:12] [SPEAKER_05]: know like I don't want to spoil

[00:24:13] [SPEAKER_05]: anything but there should have been

[00:24:16] [SPEAKER_05]: some sort of consequence to what she

[00:24:19] [SPEAKER_05]: did and there doesn't seem to be and

[00:24:21] [SPEAKER_05]: it's just it's just weird like it's

[00:24:23] [SPEAKER_05]: really yeah the it's it's like the

[00:24:26] [SPEAKER_05]: ending just wasn't thought well thought

[00:24:28] [SPEAKER_05]: out a lot of this movie was but the

[00:24:31] [SPEAKER_05]: ending really falls apart yeah and

[00:24:34] [SPEAKER_05]: as I say and throughout there's just

[00:24:36] [SPEAKER_05]: bits and pieces where you're like are

[00:24:39] [SPEAKER_05]: you just in love with like everything

[00:24:40] [SPEAKER_05]: you're shooting did you have to put

[00:24:41] [SPEAKER_05]: everything in yeah because I think it

[00:24:44] [SPEAKER_05]: does go on a little bit it's a

[00:24:46] [SPEAKER_09]: little drag yeah though I agree and then

[00:24:48] [SPEAKER_09]: the ending it kind of comes out of

[00:24:50] [SPEAKER_09]: nowhere it's almost like a different

[00:24:52] [SPEAKER_05]: writer yeah it's weird and I'm sorry

[00:24:55] [SPEAKER_05]: that that whole thing where you know

[00:24:57] [SPEAKER_05]: there may this isn't really a spoiler

[00:24:59] [SPEAKER_05]: but towards the end they've got all

[00:25:01] [SPEAKER_05]: these guys are almost like druids

[00:25:03] [SPEAKER_05]: they're getting on their robes and

[00:25:05] [SPEAKER_05]: everything and then all of a sudden

[00:25:06] [SPEAKER_05]: the cops show up which is fine

[00:25:08] [SPEAKER_05]: because they're trying to break this

[00:25:10] [SPEAKER_05]: whole ring up in the whole deal and

[00:25:12] [SPEAKER_05]: everybody that's in this frickin

[00:25:15] [SPEAKER_05]: culture whatever you got seems to have

[00:25:17] [SPEAKER_05]: a sawed-off shotgun underneath the robe

[00:25:19] [SPEAKER_05]: and they all like pull out shotguns and

[00:25:20] [SPEAKER_05]: there yeah just so weird like for what

[00:25:23] [SPEAKER_09]: reason did it like that what why is

[00:25:25] [SPEAKER_05]: everybody armed to the teeth like that

[00:25:27] [SPEAKER_05]: and how are those I can understand

[00:25:29] [SPEAKER_05]: if there's like a two or three people

[00:25:30] [SPEAKER_05]: that are like on the lookout or

[00:25:32] [SPEAKER_05]: whatever but not everybody yeah and how

[00:25:35] [SPEAKER_09]: where were those shot shot off

[00:25:36] [SPEAKER_09]: shotguns sitting they have strapped

[00:25:39] [SPEAKER_09]: to their legs I don't know but they

[00:25:41] [SPEAKER_09]: weren't walking around like they had

[00:25:42] [SPEAKER_09]: a shotgun strapped to their leg like

[00:25:44] [SPEAKER_05]: it was it was and there and that's the

[00:25:46] [SPEAKER_05]: thing there was there's these little

[00:25:47] [SPEAKER_05]: things where they're he has such

[00:25:50] [SPEAKER_05]: attention to detail for some stuff and

[00:25:52] [SPEAKER_05]: then other stuff it's like yeah whatever

[00:25:54] [SPEAKER_05]: and and that's how I felt this ending

[00:25:56] [SPEAKER_05]: was this ending was well whatever yeah

[00:25:58] [SPEAKER_09]: it's kind of like we kind of know it's

[00:26:00] [SPEAKER_09]: come but that's right from frame one

[00:26:03] [SPEAKER_09]: though you knew what was gonna happen

[00:26:05] [SPEAKER_09]: and they they had that even from x

[00:26:08] [SPEAKER_09]: which which is fine you knew that you

[00:26:11] [SPEAKER_05]: got to execute it for a good yeah

[00:26:13] [SPEAKER_05]: it's the execution is just not there

[00:26:15] [SPEAKER_05]: this time I didn't as I say I didn't

[00:26:17] [SPEAKER_05]: hate it either I mean there were parts

[00:26:19] [SPEAKER_05]: where I really did have a good time

[00:26:21] [SPEAKER_05]: me a goff is great she's she's so good

[00:26:25] [SPEAKER_05]: in this again yeah I just I wanted this

[00:26:28] [SPEAKER_05]: to be so much better because honestly

[00:26:30] [SPEAKER_05]: I the first two I enjoyed them both more

[00:26:34] [SPEAKER_05]: than I enjoyed this yeah I don't even

[00:26:36] [SPEAKER_05]: remember did I give them both Mando

[00:26:38] [SPEAKER_09]: or you gave Mando for Pearl and you

[00:26:39] [SPEAKER_09]: gave X a man but I kind of want you

[00:26:42] [SPEAKER_09]: to go back and watch X again because

[00:26:44] [SPEAKER_09]: maybe it was your attitude at the time

[00:26:46] [SPEAKER_09]: because I rewatch again I rewatch both

[00:26:48] [SPEAKER_09]: of them before coming to this and I

[00:26:50] [SPEAKER_09]: I kind of like Pearl a little bit better

[00:26:53] [SPEAKER_09]: than I did the first time because that

[00:26:54] [SPEAKER_09]: for me was reverse I gave X a Mando

[00:26:57] [SPEAKER_09]: and I gave Pearl a man but and then

[00:27:00] [SPEAKER_09]: it would still be that way for me

[00:27:01] [SPEAKER_09]: just because again for me it it

[00:27:04] [SPEAKER_09]: it's about the transparency that Pearl

[00:27:08] [SPEAKER_09]: had it was so transparent all the

[00:27:10] [SPEAKER_09]: way through it there's great scenes in it

[00:27:12] [SPEAKER_09]: there's great like the whole scene with

[00:27:15] [SPEAKER_09]: me a goth and her the girlfriend

[00:27:18] [SPEAKER_09]: scene near the end is fantastic

[00:27:21] [SPEAKER_09]: there's scenes in it that are really

[00:27:22] [SPEAKER_09]: really good but it was like it was so

[00:27:25] [SPEAKER_09]: transparent to me what everything was

[00:27:27] [SPEAKER_09]: going to happen and there was nothing

[00:27:29] [SPEAKER_09]: that surprised me so if you're going

[00:27:31] [SPEAKER_09]: to make a film that's you know

[00:27:32] [SPEAKER_09]: era homage centered and then put

[00:27:37] [SPEAKER_09]: do something like you did to X X

[00:27:38] [SPEAKER_09]: surprised me like nobody's business

[00:27:41] [SPEAKER_09]: I went holy fuck this is this is what

[00:27:43] [SPEAKER_09]: I've been waiting for and to me until

[00:27:45] [SPEAKER_09]: we saw what what's it called the

[00:27:51] [SPEAKER_09]: eat the stabber guy slasher film we

[00:27:53] [SPEAKER_09]: just saw recently which is now my

[00:27:55] [SPEAKER_09]: favorite slasher film this would

[00:27:57] [SPEAKER_09]: not violent nature thank you the

[00:27:59] [SPEAKER_09]: violent nature is my first favorite

[00:28:01] [SPEAKER_09]: slasher film and to me X would be

[00:28:04] [SPEAKER_09]: my second favorite slasher movie of all

[00:28:06] [SPEAKER_09]: time just because I thought it was so

[00:28:08] [SPEAKER_09]: well done and they have a crocodile

[00:28:09] [SPEAKER_09]: that eats people so so yeah so we can

[00:28:11] [SPEAKER_05]: agree that this was probably man it

[00:28:14] [SPEAKER_05]: was meh and it was the worst of the

[00:28:16] [SPEAKER_05]: three but it's still good stuff that

[00:28:20] [SPEAKER_05]: like there's so much good stuff in it

[00:28:21] [SPEAKER_05]: like I feel bad giving it a male most

[00:28:23] [SPEAKER_05]: but you know what if you want to

[00:28:25] [SPEAKER_09]: laugh at somehow the stupidity and

[00:28:27] [SPEAKER_09]: the treat the third act like it's

[00:28:30] [SPEAKER_09]: comedy you just laugh yourself to

[00:28:35] [SPEAKER_10]: the end fair enough

[00:28:47] [SPEAKER_07]: rage taking over

[00:28:58] [SPEAKER_09]: all right my rage this week is all about

[00:29:09] [SPEAKER_09]: Bryce what we saw despiculum e4 in

[00:29:15] [SPEAKER_09]: cinemas which is a child's movie it's

[00:29:17] [SPEAKER_09]: made for children and that's debatable

[00:29:21] [SPEAKER_09]: yeah

[00:29:22] [SPEAKER_09]: they're only to you is that what you're

[00:29:24] [SPEAKER_09]: trying to sell this it's such a dirty

[00:29:26] [SPEAKER_09]: movie I don't think our podcast is made

[00:29:30] [SPEAKER_09]: to watch children's movies it's different

[00:29:32] [SPEAKER_09]: if it's a movie that was made for our

[00:29:35] [SPEAKER_09]: audience it's like forcing it's like

[00:29:37] [SPEAKER_09]: it I just think we could have we

[00:29:40] [SPEAKER_09]: could have streamed hundreds of

[00:29:42] [SPEAKER_09]: beavers together and watch that as

[00:29:43] [SPEAKER_09]: opposed to watch this fucking

[00:29:44] [SPEAKER_09]: despiculum e4 I don't think our

[00:29:46] [SPEAKER_09]: podcast is made to watch children's

[00:29:49] [SPEAKER_09]: movies because for the most part they're

[00:29:52] [SPEAKER_09]: never it's gonna be you mean we there's

[00:29:54] [SPEAKER_09]: animation films that are art pieces

[00:29:56] [SPEAKER_09]: mm-hmm right like well see you're you're

[00:30:01] [SPEAKER_05]: drawing a strange line on children's

[00:30:03] [SPEAKER_05]: movies at one point like you talk

[00:30:04] [SPEAKER_05]: calling

[00:30:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio a kid's

[00:30:09] [SPEAKER_05]: movie which it will absolutely is not

[00:30:10] [SPEAKER_09]: it is totally kids movie all for crying

[00:30:12] [SPEAKER_05]: out and that's why you know what

[00:30:15] [SPEAKER_05]: screw it we're watching kids movies

[00:30:17] [SPEAKER_05]: because yeah but okay so if Mary Kate

[00:30:21] [SPEAKER_09]: and Ashley go back in time or there's

[00:30:22] [SPEAKER_09]: some kind of yes there's some kind of

[00:30:25] [SPEAKER_09]: child's version of twins that become

[00:30:28] [SPEAKER_09]: actors and we have to sit and fucking

[00:30:29] [SPEAKER_09]: watch those movies yeah that is again

[00:30:31] [SPEAKER_09]: something that isn't made for us to

[00:30:33] [SPEAKER_09]: watch they were not the intended

[00:30:35] [SPEAKER_09]: audience for it the whole idea of us

[00:30:37] [SPEAKER_09]: is to review films that are made

[00:30:39] [SPEAKER_09]: we're intended as the audience

[00:30:40] [SPEAKER_09]: because then we're giving a real

[00:30:42] [SPEAKER_09]: accurate portrait of what this film

[00:30:44] [SPEAKER_09]: is but when we're watching a movie

[00:30:46] [SPEAKER_09]: that's made for children and the parents

[00:30:48] [SPEAKER_09]: of children to take them to and pay

[00:30:50] [SPEAKER_09]: that extra money that that's a different

[00:30:52] [SPEAKER_09]: audience than us who's going to see a

[00:30:55] [SPEAKER_09]: film to be you know completely unfiltered

[00:30:58] [SPEAKER_09]: for the audience that hopefully listens

[00:31:00] [SPEAKER_09]: to us so I'm anxious to see what our

[00:31:03] [SPEAKER_09]: audience says about it so if anybody

[00:31:05] [SPEAKER_09]: wants to message me on socials say

[00:31:07] [SPEAKER_09]: yeah Jim your rage is bang on okay

[00:31:10] [SPEAKER_05]: I think it's fair okay you know what

[00:31:13] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm okay with leaving it up to the

[00:31:17] [SPEAKER_05]: audience if you can if you can get and

[00:31:21] [SPEAKER_05]: that I don't even know how many but

[00:31:24] [SPEAKER_10]: is even one you're one because for all we

[00:31:27] [SPEAKER_10]: know there's only one person that

[00:31:28] [SPEAKER_05]: listens to us are you still listening

[00:31:30] [SPEAKER_10]: yeah David are you still David

[00:31:33] [SPEAKER_10]: you still love our podcast are you

[00:31:36] [SPEAKER_05]: sure especially I mean I would have

[00:31:40] [SPEAKER_05]: turned us off about 10 minutes ago

[00:31:42] [SPEAKER_09]: man it's like why is anybody listening

[00:31:44] [SPEAKER_09]: to exactly I mean you can picture

[00:31:46] [SPEAKER_09]: everybody just close your eyes right now

[00:31:47] [SPEAKER_09]: and imagine the mer and everybody's seen

[00:31:49] [SPEAKER_09]: him from socials just imagine mer in his

[00:31:52] [SPEAKER_05]: skin tight okay so hard okay so I I'm

[00:31:57] [SPEAKER_05]: the social medias and stuff I don't

[00:31:59] [SPEAKER_05]: understand any of that so you need to

[00:32:02] [SPEAKER_05]: show me proof proof and I want to see

[00:32:06] [SPEAKER_05]: and I don't want it filtered no if

[00:32:08] [SPEAKER_05]: four or five people chime in yes I

[00:32:10] [SPEAKER_05]: want to see all five all right if

[00:32:12] [SPEAKER_05]: four thousand people chime in I want to

[00:32:14] [SPEAKER_05]: see all four thousand okay sure and put

[00:32:17] [SPEAKER_05]: it out there yeah the universe should we

[00:32:20] [SPEAKER_05]: or should we not be reviewing basically

[00:32:24] [SPEAKER_05]: everything including kiddie movies

[00:32:26] [SPEAKER_09]: alright there we go

[00:32:29] [SPEAKER_05]: I will go I'll go with whatever they

[00:32:32] [SPEAKER_09]: say alright perfect I love it you know

[00:32:35] [SPEAKER_09]: what this rage just turned into a

[00:32:37] [SPEAKER_09]: Mando

[00:32:44] [SPEAKER_04]: alright

[00:32:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I just enjoyed your tune

[00:32:54] [SPEAKER_05]: it's not bad did you write this

[00:32:57] [SPEAKER_10]: no I stole it

[00:32:59] [SPEAKER_05]: stole it terrible

[00:33:01] [SPEAKER_09]: should steal well it was public domain

[00:33:04] [SPEAKER_09]: so you know it's not really stolen it's

[00:33:06] [SPEAKER_09]: the universe gave it freely of itself

[00:33:09] [SPEAKER_05]: sometimes the universe provides that's

[00:33:12] [SPEAKER_05]: right

[00:33:12] [SPEAKER_05]: sometimes when you expect food for thought

[00:33:17] [SPEAKER_06]: alright

[00:33:46] [SPEAKER_05]: alright

[00:33:50] [SPEAKER_05]: so this is what happened my rage is that

[00:33:55] [SPEAKER_05]: because I didn't prepare for the

[00:33:58] [SPEAKER_05]: podcast at all this week like usual

[00:34:01] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't have a rage

[00:34:03] [SPEAKER_09]: that's your rage is at yourself my

[00:34:06] [SPEAKER_05]: rage is at myself so my rage is about

[00:34:08] [SPEAKER_05]: you yes and your rage is about you

[00:34:10] [SPEAKER_05]: yes because I need to give more of

[00:34:14] [SPEAKER_05]: myself to this podcast I've been saying

[00:34:16] [SPEAKER_05]: that for five years I haven't been

[00:34:18] [SPEAKER_05]: phoned in for five years Jim I will say

[00:34:21] [SPEAKER_05]: that I've probably been phoned in for

[00:34:23] [SPEAKER_05]: five months so

[00:34:26] [SPEAKER_05]: and I need to do better you deserve

[00:34:28] [SPEAKER_05]: better our listeners the listeners

[00:34:31] [SPEAKER_05]: definitely deserve definitely deserves

[00:34:33] [SPEAKER_05]: better Murray deserves better

[00:34:35] [SPEAKER_05]: that's right but I'm just kind of

[00:34:37] [SPEAKER_05]: doing what Murray does

[00:34:39] [SPEAKER_09]: now now Murray's got a job and you've

[00:34:42] [SPEAKER_09]: got a job yeah unless we want to change

[00:34:44] [SPEAKER_09]: your titles used to be a co-host but

[00:34:46] [SPEAKER_09]: now you're just you're like Ed McMahon

[00:34:48] [SPEAKER_09]: yeah you got a point like you're like

[00:34:50] [SPEAKER_09]: the you're like I'm the Johnny Carson

[00:34:52] [SPEAKER_09]: you're the Ed McMahon I'm the Lucio

[00:34:55] [SPEAKER_09]: ball you're like Eiffel

[00:34:57] [SPEAKER_05]: now but we're totally up that's not

[00:34:59] [SPEAKER_05]: how it's supposed to be I know but

[00:35:00] [SPEAKER_09]: that I that's my point exactly if

[00:35:03] [SPEAKER_09]: you want to be desi you want to be

[00:35:04] [SPEAKER_09]: my desi you gotta step up

[00:35:07] [SPEAKER_09]: otherwise you just there's no freaking way

[00:35:09] [SPEAKER_09]: you're Lucy I'm Lucy and your apple that's

[00:35:12] [SPEAKER_09]: exactly what it is you're not

[00:35:14] [SPEAKER_09]: losing you know what I'm now going to

[00:35:15] [SPEAKER_09]: start calling you a phone till you pull

[00:35:17] [SPEAKER_09]: your socks up

[00:35:19] [SPEAKER_05]: apple that's fair I'm apple there you

[00:35:24] [SPEAKER_10]: go

[00:35:25] [SPEAKER_10]: problem solved I don't want it you can

[00:35:28] [SPEAKER_10]: change it you can start dialing it in

[00:35:30] [SPEAKER_10]: when you when you start not dialing

[00:35:32] [SPEAKER_10]: in you're gonna beat my desi like I

[00:35:34] [SPEAKER_05]: literally don't even have a piece of

[00:35:35] [SPEAKER_05]: paper in front of me today I don't

[00:35:37] [SPEAKER_05]: even have the agenda in front of me if

[00:35:38] [SPEAKER_05]: you didn't have a laptop in front of

[00:35:40] [SPEAKER_05]: you blind I don't know what's coming up

[00:35:42] [SPEAKER_10]: next you if you didn't have a laptop

[00:35:44] [SPEAKER_10]: in front of you you would have nothing

[00:35:46] [SPEAKER_05]: I didn't even want to bring the lap

[00:35:47] [SPEAKER_05]: but you like at least put up the

[00:35:49] [SPEAKER_05]: laptop so you know what you're

[00:35:50] [SPEAKER_05]: talking about who's who were in these

[00:35:52] [SPEAKER_05]: freaking movies I was like yeah okay

[00:35:53] [SPEAKER_05]: maybe I should do that

[00:35:54] [SPEAKER_09]: there you go

[00:35:56] [SPEAKER_09]: you know what it's fitting double

[00:35:59] [SPEAKER_09]: Bryce rage there you go

[00:36:05] [SPEAKER_03]: rage all right

[00:36:13] [SPEAKER_02]: rage subside

[00:36:16] [SPEAKER_02]: plus sign

[00:36:19] [SPEAKER_02]: anger fee

[00:36:21] [SPEAKER_09]: alright we've got a promo from our

[00:36:24] [SPEAKER_09]: buds at mystery frequency podcast

[00:36:33] [SPEAKER_10]: who knows what he or

[00:36:37] [SPEAKER_10]: ...the heart of men.

[00:36:44] [SPEAKER_00]: Turn your dial to find the frequency of the past.

[00:36:49] [SPEAKER_00]: With the classic stories of mysteries, sci-fi, thrillers and suspense are found waiting to be heard once again.

[00:37:00] [SPEAKER_00]: You'll find a variety of those stories here in the original form where each episode takes you to another place or time.

[00:37:07] [SPEAKER_06]: The man of wrongs, Doc Sebbin!

[00:37:10] [SPEAKER_00]: But only when you find the mystery frequency available everywhere.

[00:37:16] [SPEAKER_10]: A shadow known.

[00:37:21] [SPEAKER_09]: You guys gotta check that out.

[00:37:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Sorry, finish. It's what?

[00:37:30] [SPEAKER_05]: It's cool.

[00:37:31] [SPEAKER_05]: Sorry, it's cool?

[00:37:36] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, it's cool. But that's not where we're... remember we're doing the lists.

[00:37:42] [SPEAKER_09]: That's better.

[00:37:44] [SPEAKER_09]: I just hit and b-

[00:37:45] [SPEAKER_09]: Just follow me!

[00:37:50] [SPEAKER_09]: Alright, so this partially is in Bryce's hall.

[00:37:53] [SPEAKER_05]: I was just testing you to see if you actually recognize the music.

[00:37:56] [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, I recognized the music. So I'm going like, wait, uh, we can't bring Casey on until you get it right.

[00:38:02] [SPEAKER_09]: I was wondering if you were gonna...

[00:38:04] [SPEAKER_09]: But anyway, it's partially not Bryce's fault.

[00:38:08] [SPEAKER_09]: So this is a segment we haven't done on his regular basis of late because it hasn't had an opportunity and I'll tell you a little bit why in a minute.

[00:38:18] [SPEAKER_09]: So if you go to our website, filmrageyc.com, and look at our page called The Lists, we have five lists.

[00:38:26] [SPEAKER_09]: We have the mesmerizing, we have the repulsive, we have the doubted, and we have the undoubted.

[00:38:34] [SPEAKER_09]: And our final category is people that were once either mesmerizing or repulsive and they've been removed because they were mesmerized or repulsived off by someone that's either more mesmerizing or more repulsive.

[00:38:47] [SPEAKER_09]: Which we haven't removed anybody from the repulsive list yet, but I have a feeling that we will someday.

[00:38:52] [SPEAKER_09]: Someday.

[00:38:52] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I'm a positive it.

[00:38:53] [SPEAKER_09]: So we've worked that list for the last five years.

[00:38:57] [SPEAKER_09]: We built it up over the last five years and then we've been able to bring it down to a manageable list.

[00:39:02] [SPEAKER_09]: Ultimately, if actors lived forever and they all eventually work together, there would be only one just like the original Highliner.

[00:39:09] [SPEAKER_09]: Highlander? Highliner? Captain Highliner? Which is that? Highlander or Highliner?

[00:39:14] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah. What we need to do.

[00:39:16] [SPEAKER_09]: There could be only one.

[00:39:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, I got your analogy and it's just not working for me.

[00:39:20] [SPEAKER_09]: You don't like fish sticks either so it couldn't have been Highliner.

[00:39:23] [SPEAKER_04]: No, Captain Highliner.

[00:39:27] [SPEAKER_05]: Anyways, what we need to do is we need to send our list to like a casting agent.

[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:39:32] [SPEAKER_05]: And then get them to like just put CGI them all in.

[00:39:35] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh no. Well, the people that are dead are dead but the people are still living.

[00:39:38] [SPEAKER_05]: Let's get like four or five of them and like the same movie all the time.

[00:39:42] [SPEAKER_09]: It's better if there's just two because then it can be tough.

[00:39:45] [SPEAKER_09]: Because then there's more choices that we could say oh no I think this person was more mesmerized.

[00:39:49] [SPEAKER_09]: Because we've had ones remember it was the PT Anderson film that had like five of the minute and we didn't remove anybody.

[00:39:56] [SPEAKER_06]: No.

[00:39:57] [SPEAKER_09]: Because there was like I said somebody, you said somebody, Murray said somebody else so it was like almost impossible to remove people.

[00:40:04] [SPEAKER_09]: So they got to just be in two. That's it.

[00:40:07] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:40:07] [SPEAKER_09]: So we'll talk to the casting people.

[00:40:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:40:09] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, I'll give them a call this afternoon.

[00:40:11] [SPEAKER_05]: So you have that type of poll?

[00:40:12] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah man, I got everybody's number.

[00:40:14] [SPEAKER_09]: Cool.

[00:40:15] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, do that.

[00:40:16] [SPEAKER_09]: I'm doing it.

[00:40:16] [SPEAKER_09]: All right.

[00:40:17] [SPEAKER_09]: So for this week the reason we're talking about the list other than just to remind everybody that we're still working hard for this money that we get which is none unless you dares to see a film.

[00:40:27] [SPEAKER_09]: But so I just so happened to have watched the movie.

[00:40:36] [SPEAKER_09]: They called me Mr. Tips and it made me think why is Sidney Pochett not on our mesmerized list?

[00:40:44] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to go with because we're done because we're done unless we talked about it years ago and and for whatever reason something.

[00:40:54] [SPEAKER_09]: I don't I can't imagine.

[00:40:55] [SPEAKER_04]: I can't imagine there's no way just so mesmerizing Sydney Pochett is absolutely mesmerizing.

[00:40:59] [SPEAKER_09]: All right.

[00:41:00] [SPEAKER_09]: Okay, so when I get home tonight tomorrow tonight, my birthday everybody just as your birthday tomorrow is my birthday and I will be updating our website as part of my gift to myself and all of you.

[00:41:13] [SPEAKER_09]: Wow.

[00:41:15] [SPEAKER_09]: Wow.

[00:41:16] [SPEAKER_09]: Much better.

[00:41:17] [SPEAKER_09]: And so I'm going to add Sidney Pochett on the list, but here's the rub.

[00:41:22] [SPEAKER_09]: Oh, Sidney Pochett also happens to be in the same movie as Catherine Hepburn who I thought could never be taken out by anybody in the movie called Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and they are both in it.

[00:41:41] [SPEAKER_05]: Not the remake Guess Who with.

[00:41:43] [SPEAKER_05]: No.

[00:41:44] [SPEAKER_05]: Ashton Kutcher and Bernie Mennak.

[00:41:46] [SPEAKER_09]: No, neither one of them are in that.

[00:41:49] [SPEAKER_09]: Thank God.

[00:41:50] [SPEAKER_09]: And thank God we don't why did they do that?

[00:41:52] [SPEAKER_09]: Don't say anything.

[00:41:53] [SPEAKER_09]: Someone's going to dare us to watch that.

[00:41:56] [SPEAKER_10]: She's probably going to be Casey.

[00:41:58] [SPEAKER_05]: I do have a bag that I still haven't filled.

[00:42:02] [SPEAKER_09]: You know, maybe our listeners will bring it to us sooner.

[00:42:05] [SPEAKER_09]: So, so yeah, I suggesting we watch Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and see who's going to make it Sidney or Catherine.

[00:42:12] [SPEAKER_09]: Done.

[00:42:13] [SPEAKER_09]: All right.

[00:42:14] [SPEAKER_09]: Well, that was a really easy plan.

[00:42:17] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[00:42:17] [SPEAKER_04]: It's like it was just like butter.

[00:42:19] [SPEAKER_04]: Sometimes you know if it's a good plan and it just kind of can be executed well.

[00:42:24] [SPEAKER_09]: It's happening.

[00:42:25] [SPEAKER_04]: Easy peasy.

[00:42:26] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.

[00:42:26] [SPEAKER_09]: All right.

[00:42:26] [SPEAKER_09]: Well, got anything else?

[00:42:27] [SPEAKER_09]: Was there anybody was nobody?

[00:42:29] [SPEAKER_09]: You know what?

[00:42:30] [SPEAKER_09]: If we used to have Kevin Bacon as repulsive, I'm just saying because he's not always the best actor.

[00:42:37] [SPEAKER_09]: His portrayal in Maxine was fantastic.

[00:42:39] [SPEAKER_05]: But he would never be repulsive or doubted or I know I'm just or mesmerizing for that fact.

[00:42:46] [SPEAKER_09]: But in this movie, he was almost as good as he was.

[00:42:50] [SPEAKER_05]: He was better in this than he was in tremors and and not saying something because he's because

[00:42:55] [SPEAKER_05]: that was pretty much the second best movie ever been in.

[00:42:58] [SPEAKER_05]: It's like it's now Maxine tremors and then murder in the first.

[00:43:04] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah.

[00:43:05] [SPEAKER_09]: 100%.

[00:43:06] [SPEAKER_09]: And then I remember and then everything else is crap.

[00:43:09] [SPEAKER_05]: Will and Grace probably.

[00:43:11] [SPEAKER_05]: I didn't even know he was in Will and Grace.

[00:43:13] [SPEAKER_08]: I think he was.

[00:43:14] [SPEAKER_08]: I think it'd be like TV for some reason.

[00:43:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Was he Will or Grace?

[00:43:16] [SPEAKER_08]: No, he was neither one of them.

[00:43:17] [SPEAKER_08]: Oh, somebody else.

[00:43:18] [SPEAKER_08]: I don't know.

[00:43:19] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm just saying what's a what's a Will or Grace?

[00:43:22] [SPEAKER_09]: It's a TV show.

[00:43:23] [SPEAKER_09]: I'm just saying I think I saw him once on there maybe.

[00:43:26] [SPEAKER_09]: So it has nothing to do with movies.

[00:43:28] [SPEAKER_09]: But you know, you and Murray talk about football sometimes.

[00:43:31] [SPEAKER_09]: I don't have fucking clue what you're talking about.

[00:43:33] [SPEAKER_09]: Yes.

[00:43:35] [SPEAKER_09]: I hear it's called a pig skin.

[00:43:37] [SPEAKER_09]: Is that because it's made of pig?

[00:43:38] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't think it's made of pig anymore.

[00:43:41] [SPEAKER_04]: I don't even know.

[00:43:41] [SPEAKER_04]: You know what?

[00:43:42] [SPEAKER_04]: Who knows who cares football?

[00:43:45] [SPEAKER_08]: Okay, that's it for the list.

[00:43:47] [SPEAKER_04]: That fell apart.

[00:43:48] [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, it was really quick.

[00:43:51] [SPEAKER_08]: Right list rightly so.

[00:43:53] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:43:53] [SPEAKER_05]: All right.

[00:43:55] [SPEAKER_05]: I got to push another button here.

[00:43:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Just give me a second.

[00:43:57] [SPEAKER_05]: A couple of buttons.

[00:43:59] [SPEAKER_05]: I'll get there.

[00:44:00] [SPEAKER_09]: One button.

[00:44:02] [SPEAKER_09]: No, that's not it.

[00:44:03] [SPEAKER_09]: No, no, that's not it.

[00:44:05] [SPEAKER_09]: No.

[00:44:08] [SPEAKER_09]: No, that's not it.

[00:44:10] [SPEAKER_09]: Oh.

[00:44:12] [SPEAKER_09]: That's it.

[00:44:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Last time on Rage or Dare, our little Brycey forgot he told Jim his peewee story about the movie Cocktail years ago.

[00:44:31] [SPEAKER_01]: And Jim, as usual, used Bryce's poor memory and hearing loss against him like the true friend that he is when he dared Bryce to rewatch the Tom Cruise masterpiece.

[00:44:42] [SPEAKER_01]: But maybe masterpiece is too strong of a word.

[00:44:45] [SPEAKER_01]: How about film?

[00:44:46] [SPEAKER_01]: No, that also seems like too strong of a word.

[00:44:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Thing on celluloid.

[00:44:51] [SPEAKER_01]: The 1988 piece of celluloid cocktail.

[00:44:55] [SPEAKER_01]: This week Jim will most likely only have one choice, and that's to Casey.

[00:45:01] [SPEAKER_01]: Why you ask?

[00:45:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Because as usual Bryce is still just phoning it in and has nothing for Jim to choose from.

[00:45:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Isn't that right Bryce?

[00:45:10] [SPEAKER_01]: Yes.

[00:45:10] [SPEAKER_01]: You little slacker.

[00:45:12] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't you fret though Jim.

[00:45:13] [SPEAKER_01]: My sweet, sweet rage bosom is ready to embrace you.

[00:45:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Don't worry darling.

[00:45:18] [SPEAKER_01]: They're there.

[00:45:20] [SPEAKER_01]: Now let's see if big top peewees past replacement celluloid feels as long as peewees kiss in big top peewee.

[00:45:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Tell us Bryce, our Tom Cruise who is so short that it kept me from being in the film Vanilla Sky and his bartending skills as exciting as being under the big top.

[00:45:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Come on Bryce.

[00:45:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so cocktail.

[00:45:49] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes!

[00:45:55] [SPEAKER_05]: I literally had to watch this in three sessions because I fell asleep twice.

[00:46:03] [SPEAKER_02]: Yes you did!

[00:46:05] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's not only boring, it's just, this is a movie about just the most unlikable people walking the face of the earth and not in an entertaining way.

[00:46:19] [SPEAKER_09]: So it's kind of like Maverick or Top Gun?

[00:46:22] [SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, kind of.

[00:46:22] [SPEAKER_09]: Or most repulsive people?

[00:46:23] [SPEAKER_05]: It's like, what is with Tom Cruise and playing just these, like he's just a whiny little bitch in this too.

[00:46:31] [SPEAKER_05]: And he's sitting there and he's trying to pick up this rich girl that he doesn't know is a rich girl but then he finds out she's a rich girl.

[00:46:44] [SPEAKER_05]: And she's gone too far.

[00:46:45] [SPEAKER_05]: Then of course the money doesn't matter and she's a grown up but she still lives with her daddy in an apartment but she's also got her own apartment.

[00:46:56] [SPEAKER_05]: And it's just very confusing.

[00:47:00] [SPEAKER_05]: And even though he I guess loves this girl, he goes off and he becomes this other rich girls like plaything but she's an older rich girl.

[00:47:12] [SPEAKER_05]: What?

[00:47:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Kind of his sugar mama.

[00:47:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Huh?

[00:47:14] [SPEAKER_05]: And I didn't understand what was going on.

[00:47:18] [SPEAKER_05]: And then not even Brian Brown could save this.

[00:47:21] [SPEAKER_05]: No.

[00:47:22] [SPEAKER_05]: And I love Brian Brown.

[00:47:23] [SPEAKER_08]: Who doesn't love Brian Brown?

[00:47:24] [SPEAKER_05]: He's always entertaining.

[00:47:25] [SPEAKER_08]: He is, baby.

[00:47:27] [SPEAKER_05]: But and there's like a weird suicide in it that makes no sense and no character is like likable at all.

[00:47:39] [SPEAKER_05]: Like at all.

[00:47:40] [SPEAKER_05]: So it's like Top Gun and Maverick.

[00:47:41] [SPEAKER_05]: It's kind of like Top Gun and Maverick.

[00:47:43] [SPEAKER_05]: They're all repulsive.

[00:47:43] [SPEAKER_05]: But in the Bahamas for part of it in New York.

[00:47:49] [SPEAKER_05]: In alcoholic.

[00:47:51] [SPEAKER_05]: I think it goes from I think it's Chicago to the Bahamas to New York or maybe it's New York to the Bahamas.

[00:47:57] [SPEAKER_09]: Is it just because he's getting, he's working.

[00:47:59] [SPEAKER_09]: Is he in Chicago?

[00:47:59] [SPEAKER_09]: How are you remember?

[00:48:00] [SPEAKER_09]: He's working at different bars.

[00:48:03] [SPEAKER_05]: So yeah, so basically he wants bigger things for himself right?

[00:48:09] [SPEAKER_05]: So in order to do that.

[00:48:11] [SPEAKER_05]: He goes to school to be a bartender where he makes fun of his professor.

[00:48:17] [SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[00:48:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Which kind of kind of screws him over which I don't know why you would make fun of your professor.

[00:48:23] [SPEAKER_05]: This is a guy that's giving you your grade right?

[00:48:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:48:26] [SPEAKER_05]: So why are you trying to humiliate him in front of the club?

[00:48:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, because he's an idiot.

[00:48:30] [SPEAKER_05]: That's what it is.

[00:48:31] [SPEAKER_05]: He's an unlikable little turd.

[00:48:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Yes.

[00:48:33] [SPEAKER_05]: Why not you little bitch?

[00:48:34] [SPEAKER_05]: Little whiny little bitch and so then yeah from there he decides okay well that's

[00:48:40] [SPEAKER_05]: not going to work the way to the top is obviously work at a bar.

[00:48:44] [SPEAKER_05]: So then he learns the trade and Brian Brown's got a bar and he's really good at flipping

[00:48:51] [SPEAKER_05]: bottles around nice and picking up chicks while he's behind the bar and it's like what is

[00:48:57] [SPEAKER_05]: going on?

[00:48:58] [SPEAKER_05]: How is this getting you forward in life?

[00:49:00] [SPEAKER_05]: But then he ends up they decide apparently I don't know if this is a thing but there's

[00:49:06] [SPEAKER_05]: big money in the Baham I think it's the Bahamas.

[00:49:09] [SPEAKER_05]: It could be wrong.

[00:49:10] [SPEAKER_05]: It's somewhere in the Caribbean?

[00:49:11] [SPEAKER_05]: It's somewhere in the Caribbean.

[00:49:12] [SPEAKER_05]: Apparently there's big money for bartenders to just go and it's like it's like getting

[00:49:17] [SPEAKER_05]: a gig at a club or something I guess.

[00:49:21] [SPEAKER_05]: You're a bartender you can go get a gig.

[00:49:23] [SPEAKER_05]: Like you're a cruise line performer?

[00:49:25] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, but you're you're just at a bar on a beach.

[00:49:28] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh okay.

[00:49:29] [SPEAKER_05]: And so then apparently you can make big money there.

[00:49:32] [SPEAKER_05]: Huh.

[00:49:33] [SPEAKER_05]: But so he wants to do that so that he can pursue his dream of what?

[00:49:38] [SPEAKER_05]: To be big time.

[00:49:39] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know exactly what his dream is though but he meets the rich girl well he meets the

[00:49:45] [SPEAKER_05]: rich girl that's that's that he originally meant that he falls in love with.

[00:49:51] [SPEAKER_05]: What?

[00:49:52] [SPEAKER_05]: She's younger not like young but she's like same age as his.

[00:49:56] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh.

[00:49:56] [SPEAKER_05]: But he doesn't know she's rich but then on a bat he picks up this other sophisticated

[00:50:06] [SPEAKER_05]: rich girl.

[00:50:07] [SPEAKER_09]: Oh to be like a jiggle of sorts.

[00:50:10] [SPEAKER_05]: So kind of so then he wins the bat.

[00:50:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh that old story.

[00:50:15] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, so then so then but here's the thing.

[00:50:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh there's a rub.

[00:50:20] [SPEAKER_05]: Come on knock on our door.

[00:50:22] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh that's the original girl sees him walking away with her.

[00:50:28] [SPEAKER_08]: It's a total three company.

[00:50:29] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah and so then he doesn't act she doesn't actually see them like make out or anything

[00:50:34] [SPEAKER_05]: though she just infers from that that they're screwing.

[00:50:37] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh totally.

[00:50:37] [SPEAKER_05]: But she's right because they are.

[00:50:39] [SPEAKER_05]: No.

[00:50:40] [SPEAKER_05]: So then he goes he's like so distraught after like having sex with this hot older

[00:50:46] [SPEAKER_05]: lady.

[00:50:46] [SPEAKER_05]: Nice who wouldn't be?

[00:50:47] [SPEAKER_05]: I know totally distraught.

[00:50:49] [SPEAKER_05]: Totally take her.

[00:50:50] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:50:50] [SPEAKER_05]: So then he's like oh God I screwed up and he goes to get the younger one right.

[00:50:56] [SPEAKER_05]: No here's the thing.

[00:50:57] [SPEAKER_05]: What?

[00:50:57] [SPEAKER_05]: She's not even there anymore.

[00:50:59] [SPEAKER_05]: No she was smart.

[00:51:00] [SPEAKER_05]: She's flown back to New York.

[00:51:01] [SPEAKER_05]: So then rather than try to contact her or try to apologize or try to explain

[00:51:07] [SPEAKER_05]: things he's like eh you know what I guess no he's like that ship is sailed

[00:51:12] [SPEAKER_05]: I guess I'm going back to the old rich lady.

[00:51:13] [SPEAKER_05]: And then by the end right.

[00:51:15] [SPEAKER_05]: No so he goes back to the old rich.

[00:51:17] [SPEAKER_05]: There's more.

[00:51:17] [SPEAKER_05]: He goes back to the old rich lady.

[00:51:19] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah they go to New York.

[00:51:21] [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah.

[00:51:21] [SPEAKER_05]: And then she becomes kind of his lap dog.

[00:51:23] [SPEAKER_06]: Oh.

[00:51:24] [SPEAKER_05]: And she just kind of does he does what she wants and you know if she needs

[00:51:27] [SPEAKER_05]: a drink she gives her a drink.

[00:51:29] [SPEAKER_05]: If they go to if they go to a gala and she's got her coat on and she

[00:51:33] [SPEAKER_05]: doesn't want to be she takes her coat off and hands it to him and

[00:51:35] [SPEAKER_05]: he's got to go so here's the thing that doesn't make sense though.

[00:51:39] [SPEAKER_05]: He seems to be all in on this thing but in the meantime she does

[00:51:43] [SPEAKER_05]: some sort of job where he thinks that he could like excel at

[00:51:48] [SPEAKER_05]: something that she that she has to do with so he kind of wants her to

[00:51:53] [SPEAKER_05]: give him a job but she's like well I can't just give you a job

[00:51:56] [SPEAKER_05]: because that would look like a bit ism.

[00:51:58] [SPEAKER_09]: Is it like kind of Lingus he's good at.

[00:52:00] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't know what he's good at.

[00:52:01] [SPEAKER_05]: So anyways in the end he's like well screw this I'm not

[00:52:06] [SPEAKER_05]: even getting out of this anything out of this and except for

[00:52:09] [SPEAKER_05]: you know you're kind of hot lower lady that likes to have sex

[00:52:12] [SPEAKER_05]: with me yeah which I don't think is a bad gig.

[00:52:15] [SPEAKER_05]: No that sounds like a pretty good gig but so that's my

[00:52:17] [SPEAKER_05]: aspiration and then he's like screw it so then he goes then

[00:52:20] [SPEAKER_05]: he sees the original girl at a diner no and even though she's

[00:52:26] [SPEAKER_05]: like rich girl she works at the diner because I guess she wants

[00:52:30] [SPEAKER_05]: to be like regular people I don't know so then that makes

[00:52:34] [SPEAKER_05]: sense but she's an artist no she's also an artist no.

[00:52:39] [SPEAKER_05]: So he goes does this have an ending.

[00:52:42] [SPEAKER_05]: This is the worst story I've ever heard so he so anyways long

[00:52:47] [SPEAKER_05]: story short what's not it's not here.

[00:52:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I hear a long story here's the big kicker here's the big

[00:52:53] [SPEAKER_05]: kicker this is almost as long as pee we see he impregnated

[00:52:58] [SPEAKER_05]: her in the Bahamas with the older lady know the younger

[00:53:01] [SPEAKER_05]: lady well but she doesn't want to tell him because she

[00:53:05] [SPEAKER_05]: thinks that she's so selfish anyways so this became not

[00:53:08] [SPEAKER_09]: only three company it also became Dallas that's the thing

[00:53:12] [SPEAKER_05]: it's a total soap opera.

[00:53:14] [SPEAKER_05]: Oh nice this whole movie is a soap opera and it took me

[00:53:17] [SPEAKER_05]: three quarters of the way through to realize it before I

[00:53:20] [SPEAKER_05]: thought it was just a little crap but it's like it's not

[00:53:23] [SPEAKER_05]: even just a little crap it's so proper crap.

[00:53:25] [SPEAKER_03]: So much worse it's kind you know what so much worse Jim

[00:53:29] [SPEAKER_09]: you saw when we saw Horizon what a real soap opera

[00:53:33] [SPEAKER_09]: could look like so I can understand you could identify

[00:53:35] [SPEAKER_05]: so bad so anyways I'm just going to spoil everything for

[00:53:39] [SPEAKER_05]: everybody she gives them another chance and they want and then

[00:53:42] [SPEAKER_05]: and then this is a rom-com this thing dragged out for over

[00:53:47] [SPEAKER_05]: an hour and a half and then the ending she just goes okay

[00:53:50] [SPEAKER_05]: I forgive you.

[00:53:52] [SPEAKER_05]: I'm going to leave I'm going to leave all my family behind

[00:53:55] [SPEAKER_05]: screw you daddy I hate you now because I love Tom Cruise

[00:53:59] [SPEAKER_05]: or Neil McGillicuddy or whatever Brian Flanigan that's

[00:54:02] [SPEAKER_05]: his name she loves Brian and she's going to go be with Brian

[00:54:07] [SPEAKER_05]: and they get they get married and now all of a sudden he's got

[00:54:11] [SPEAKER_05]: a bar even though she got cut off right so she got no money

[00:54:15] [SPEAKER_05]: anymore apparently so they magically got a bar somehow he's

[00:54:18] [SPEAKER_05]: got a bar but he's got no money all the tips so I don't

[00:54:21] [SPEAKER_05]: know and it's called cocktail and dreams and he makes a big

[00:54:25] [SPEAKER_05]: toast at the end to her and their unborn child this is

[00:54:30] [SPEAKER_09]: and it's the worst you know what I block this movie out of my

[00:54:35] [SPEAKER_09]: mind it's awful because I remember walking out of the

[00:54:37] [SPEAKER_09]: cinema because I I knew which movie I was I saw a big top

[00:54:42] [SPEAKER_09]: pee we and then I still had to watch this is a double feature

[00:54:46] [SPEAKER_09]: and when I walked out I blocked it out of my mind you've

[00:54:49] [SPEAKER_09]: literally brought it all back to me and you know what the

[00:54:51] [SPEAKER_05]: worst part of this is is that you would never would have

[00:54:54] [SPEAKER_05]: given this to me had I not thought that I was going to

[00:54:57] [SPEAKER_05]: go to the big top pee we that day and here's the thing I may

[00:55:00] [SPEAKER_05]: have never seen cocktail ever had I not watched tried to go to

[00:55:06] [SPEAKER_05]: big top pee we and by mistake I ended up in the wrong theater

[00:55:09] [SPEAKER_05]: I may not have seen this ever because you never would have

[00:55:12] [SPEAKER_05]: dared it to me had you not heard the big top pee we

[00:55:14] [SPEAKER_09]: story I so here's a hundred percent guarantee you were

[00:55:18] [SPEAKER_05]: getting this I don't think I don't think so I don't

[00:55:21] [SPEAKER_05]: think this would have you just because you're like I

[00:55:23] [SPEAKER_05]: blocked out of my memory I don't think you know I

[00:55:25] [SPEAKER_05]: blocked out of my memory because of this I didn't have

[00:55:28] [SPEAKER_05]: to see it once I had to see it twice when if it wasn't for

[00:55:31] [SPEAKER_05]: big top pee the whole big top pee we fiasco I may not

[00:55:34] [SPEAKER_02]: have had to watch it at all top he was fall you're

[00:55:37] [SPEAKER_05]: so blaming pee we I'm playing I'm blaming Paul Rubens

[00:55:40] [SPEAKER_05]: right now for making me watch this frickin movie twice

[00:55:43] [SPEAKER_05]: this was a total rage I hated it everything about it

[00:55:46] [SPEAKER_10]: is garbage the greatest moment of my life FYI just

[00:55:51] [SPEAKER_10]: so you know yes there's a lot more like that in

[00:55:54] [SPEAKER_10]: my bag so you got lots more to look for it to you

[00:55:57] [SPEAKER_09]: shut up nice all right well see as how Casey's the

[00:56:00] [SPEAKER_09]: only one that does anything around here I'm going

[00:56:03] [SPEAKER_09]: to pull from Casey's bag and FYI I forgot to Casey

[00:56:06] [SPEAKER_09]: gave me one other dare that I forgot to bring

[00:56:08] [SPEAKER_09]: with me but he's still got some good stuff in here

[00:56:10] [SPEAKER_09]: cool all right so I will not be watching cocktail

[00:56:14] [SPEAKER_09]: ever again yeah because it's now off the table

[00:56:18] [SPEAKER_09]: now it's off the table some sucker had to watch

[00:56:21] [SPEAKER_09]: off the cocktail table what I will be watching

[00:56:24] [SPEAKER_09]: mmm is Robocop 2014 was it that bad I don't remember

[00:56:32] [SPEAKER_05]: I don't remember it either I don't because I don't remember

[00:56:35] [SPEAKER_05]: I wasn't as good as a first one yeah there's

[00:56:37] [SPEAKER_09]: nothing as good as the first one then the

[00:56:39] [SPEAKER_05]: second one was kind of not good and then the

[00:56:41] [SPEAKER_05]: third one was garbage yeah it was poopy but

[00:56:43] [SPEAKER_09]: someone someone told me on socials today

[00:56:47] [SPEAKER_09]: that they're going to be making a Robocop

[00:56:49] [SPEAKER_09]: versus Terminator movie because I guess it's a comic

[00:56:52] [SPEAKER_09]: now that's a movie I want to see if we can get
