Welcome back ragers to the best movie review podcast on the planet. The rage rolls on from the Film Rage Studio.
This week the Film Rage Crew or at least some of them review the three new flicks that were out this week. They start with IF starring Ryan Reynolds and then The Strangers- Chapter 1 which turns out is just a remake or reboot or re-imagining- I don't know what to call these unoriginal rehashes anymore and then finally they talk about the Amy Winehouse biopic, Back to Black. There is also a lot of incoherent rambling and some long winded conversations about nothing if you like that sort of thing. And then finally Jim and Bryce review the film Madhouse from 1990 that stars 80's TV "stars" (notice I used quotes) John Larroquette and Kirstie Alley.

[00:00:21] Hiiii
[00:00:24] Bryce
[00:00:27] Yes and also we have the Merman who I think are you doubling up on the Film Rage gear today or is that just one?
[00:00:32] This is a cuff
[00:00:34] Oh sorry film raging cuff
[00:00:36] It's like frozen in here
[00:00:38] Yeah well somebody's furnace is broken
[00:00:40] Somebody's not saying who but
[00:00:42] It's only minus 50
[00:00:44] Oh it's not that bad you bunch of wusses
[00:00:47] So with the introductions out of the way let's rage on
[00:00:52] Oh thanks to all who have been supporting us if you love our independent podcast

[00:01:09] If you cannot commit to a membership you can still buy us a movie rental and dare us to see a terrible film
[00:01:15] Well watch it if it played anywhere in the world in a cinema and isn't a kids movie
[00:01:22] Huh
[00:01:24] Kids movie
[00:01:25] Kids movie
[00:01:26] We'll talk about that later
[00:01:27] Now let's get to raging
[00:01:29] We don't watch kids movies
[00:01:31] I think at least two of you might have
[00:01:33] We're kinda being replaced by a dog
[00:01:37] That's right
[00:01:38] He's trying
[00:01:39] He wants to push the buttons
[00:01:40] He just wants attention from the Merman
[00:01:42] Speaking of buttons
[00:01:43] What did the amazing Merman predict
[00:01:45] What did the amazing Merman predict
[00:01:47] Will he predict a rage
[00:01:49] Or will he predict a no
[00:01:51] Will he tell us all what Bryce and Jim saw
[00:01:54] I'm actually curious about this part
[00:02:10] What did we actually see this week
[00:02:12] This could be the shortest segment ever because I have no freaking idea what Bryce saw
[00:02:19] Because he won't tell us
[00:02:20] Yeah it's a surprise
[00:02:22] Did you see two of the movies
[00:02:24] You see any of them
[00:02:26] That is for me to know
[00:02:28] Well no that determines the segment
[00:02:30] You can still predict what he would have thought
[00:02:32] He might as well just go on to the next segment then
[00:02:34] He's not gonna tell me what he actually watched
[00:02:36] Just predicted anyways
[00:02:38] Alright we went to see
[00:02:39] You should predict which ones you should say and Bryce didn't see this one
[00:02:43] I'm not the freaking amazing Kreskin here
[00:02:46] I think that would be pretty impressive
[00:02:48] I think you know one that I for sure didn't see
[00:02:51] Yes
[00:02:52] If you think about it
[00:02:54] Probably the same one that I didn't see
[00:02:56] If you really think about it
[00:02:58] If you really think about it
[00:03:00] Alright shut up
[00:03:02] Yes
[00:03:04] Jim and I went to see If
[00:03:06] That's right
[00:03:08] I will say that I did not see the kitty movie
[00:03:11] In a theater full of kids
[00:03:13] Yes
[00:03:15] Annoying parents
[00:03:17] But that's not the most annoying experience we had in cinemas
[00:03:20] No it was not it was second
[00:03:22] Alright well more on that later apparently
[00:03:24] Since you didn't see that I guess I only had Jim
[00:03:27] Yes
[00:03:28] So yeah we both enjoyed it
[00:03:30] We had some tears at the end there
[00:03:32] I don't think he mottled it
[00:03:35] I think he might have given it a man
[00:03:38] Alright
[00:03:39] I'm sorry they were talking about if there were tears at the end
[00:03:42] Of course there was
[00:03:43] Oh my goodness gracious
[00:03:45] Apparently you don't know nothing
[00:03:47] Cause you have no soul
[00:03:49] That's right and you have preconceived ideas without seeing the movie Bryce
[00:03:53] You guys go to your kitty movies
[00:03:55] Okay well you just keep believing what you believe mister
[00:03:58] That's right
[00:03:59] Don't stop believing is what I say
[00:04:01] Yeah don't get him started
[00:04:02] You're not the only one Murr other people have said that
[00:04:05] What you had no soul?
[00:04:07] No don't stop believing I believe it's a song
[00:04:11] The second one we went to
[00:04:13] Yes
[00:04:14] Also a torsionate experience
[00:04:17] For a whole different reason
[00:04:19] The Strangers chapter one which apparently I'm thinking it's a remake
[00:04:23] They say the third one in the series but I think it's a remake
[00:04:26] No it's chapter one so it's like
[00:04:29] Yeah but they made two already
[00:04:30] Yeah but this is going back to the beginning
[00:04:33] If you had seen the movie it was basically a remake
[00:04:35] It's a remake of the first one
[00:04:38] So that ticket you didn't see that one either?
[00:04:41] Well he might have but maybe he doesn't know the difference
[00:04:43] Cause they're all the same
[00:04:45] I'm gonna go double rage on it cause I sure as hell raged about it
[00:04:48] There we go oh and you're predicting a no C for me right?
[00:04:51] I don't know what the hell
[00:04:52] No C or a rage
[00:04:54] That's not part of the deal Bryce if you're not gonna share then I'll just make it up
[00:05:00] Last one is Back to Black which honestly I didn't know what the hell it was until oh yeah
[00:05:05] It's the Amy Winehouse thing
[00:05:07] I don't like Amy Winehouse
[00:05:09] I don't like her music there's no way in hell I'd go see a biography about her
[00:05:12] Right
[00:05:13] But you guys might have I know you did Jim did
[00:05:16] Yes I did
[00:05:17] So yeah let's go double man what the hell who cares
[00:05:20] Alright I love it
[00:05:22] Nice
[00:05:23] Yeah
[00:05:24] That is solid
[00:05:26] Solid as a rock
[00:05:29] Dun dun dun
[00:05:30] Alright I guess I get to start
[00:05:31] And as poor love say
[00:05:33] Cause Bryce doesn't go to movies anymore
[00:05:35] Apparently not
[00:05:36] The thrill is still hot hot hot hot hot hot hot
[00:05:39] Are we done?
[00:05:41] Yeah
[00:05:42] If you're gonna start with that then you gotta sing it least to that
[00:05:45] Solid as a rock
[00:05:46] And as for love's sake
[00:05:49] The thrill is still hot hot hot hot hot hot hot
[00:05:53] Ashford and Simpson's you're Mr. 80s
[00:05:56] Never heard of them
[00:05:57] What
[00:05:58] You don't remember
[00:05:59] Solid as a rock
[00:06:00] No I don't
[00:06:01] Dun dun dun
[00:06:02] Maybe I saw it commercial
[00:06:03] And as for love's sake
[00:06:06] The thrill is still hot hot hot hot hot hot hot
[00:06:11] Now he's gonna listen to that on the way home
[00:06:13] No I'm not
[00:06:14] You need to not start it again otherwise
[00:06:16] I'm waiting for you to shut up
[00:06:18] He's addicted
[00:06:19] Alright so when did we see Murray in cinema
[00:06:21] I don't know am I allowed to talk now
[00:06:22] Yes
[00:06:23] You can talk anytime you want
[00:06:24] I just won't say that thing that'll get him started
[00:06:27] Yeah well it doesn't take much to get him going on
[00:06:29] No
[00:06:30] Apparently
[00:06:31] You might mention one word and he starts singing the entire catalog of some artists I've never heard of
[00:06:34] But part of it is because it's so cold in here he's trying to warm it up with his hot breath
[00:06:37] Is that what he's doing
[00:06:38] With his hot breath
[00:06:39] Well that ain't working
[00:06:40] I'm looking for the kindling and the matches right now
[00:06:43] Where's your hotboxing from last week when you filled the theater with farts and rice
[00:06:48] Yeah really
[00:06:50] Okay
[00:06:51] I don't think I was the only one Jim
[00:06:53] It's true
[00:06:54] So
[00:06:55] I should have had some beans before coming
[00:06:56] Alright so we saw If together
[00:06:58] Also known as Imaginary Friends
[00:07:00] Yes
[00:07:02] If is a story of a 12 year old girl who's going through a difficult time
[00:07:06] Yes
[00:07:07] Her father is having heart surgery and her mother recently died of cancer
[00:07:11] And apparently her grandmother doesn't give a crap which she does because she just walks around New York all day
[00:07:17] She begins to see everyone's imaginary friends who have been left behind by the kids who have grown up and forgotten them
[00:07:24] She sets out to find out the ifs
[00:07:27] Find the ifs of new kids to befriend
[00:07:30] Helping her along the way is Cal
[00:07:32] Laid by the Rye Rye himself
[00:07:34] Yes
[00:07:35] The Rye Rye
[00:07:37] Sweet Rye Rye
[00:07:38] I normally stay away from kids movies for two big reasons
[00:07:43] Kids
[00:07:44] Noisy kids and obnoxious parents
[00:07:48] We had plenty of both at our screening
[00:07:51] I nearly sold out one on a Monday afternoon which of course was also a holiday
[00:07:55] Yep
[00:07:56] So
[00:07:57] Holiday
[00:07:58] To paraphrase the song which I'm sorry I'm about to do this
[00:08:02] Don't get him started
[00:08:03] Parents to the left of us and brass to the right of us
[00:08:07] I was stuck in the middle with Jim
[00:08:09] Yeah
[00:08:10] Hey wait that is even almost a line
[00:08:12] It's almost a line
[00:08:14] That's why I said paraphrase
[00:08:15] Yeah
[00:08:16] This could have spelled disaster for us
[00:08:18] Luckily the movie delivered
[00:08:21] To be clear this is not a kids movie per se
[00:08:25] Yes there were plenty of CGI creatures voiced by a huge cast of Hollywood stars
[00:08:30] Like Steve Carell, Bradley Cooper, Richard Jenkins, Emily Blunt, George Clooney, Matt Damon
[00:08:37] Matt Damon
[00:08:38] Sam Rockwell, Amy Schumer and Louis Gossett Jr. in his final film
[00:08:44] However this is Kaylee Fleming's movie
[00:08:47] She was adorable and charming and funny and heartwarming
[00:08:52] Truly a CLF
[00:08:54] Ron Reynolds was also totes adorbs doing what he does best
[00:09:00] This film had a slow start I wasn't sure what it was going to be
[00:09:04] It seemed pretty serious for a kids movie
[00:09:06] I mean you know a mother died of cancer in the first five minutes of the movie
[00:09:09] Yeah hey kids
[00:09:12] And it wasn't really that funny
[00:09:14] Once the second act started I started to become more invested in the characters
[00:09:18] During the third act it really tied itself together and started to make a lot more sense
[00:09:23] And by the end all the grown ups in the audience were wiping tears to their eyes including me and my BFF
[00:09:30] It isn't crude it's family friendly
[00:09:33] Children will probably find it slow and boring at times
[00:09:37] The moral of the film might go over a child's head but there is plenty of humor and subject matter aimed at children
[00:09:43] For a kids movie that John Krasinski wrote for his own children
[00:09:47] There were a lot of grown up themes involved
[00:09:50] Kaylee Fleming and Ryan Reynolds and Steve Carell were mondo
[00:09:54] The rest of the film was a very high man
[00:09:57] Which for a kids movie is high praise for me
[00:10:00] Yeah indeed
[00:10:02] Sorry you said George Clooney are you talking about Rosemary Clooney's nephew?
[00:10:07] Yes
[00:10:08] Oh okay
[00:10:09] That's why you got to be confused
[00:10:10] You got to be more specific
[00:10:12] Only for you
[00:10:13] Because I'm like who the hell is George Clooney and then I remembered
[00:10:16] You know what I think that might be Rosemary Clooney's nephew
[00:10:19] Which is really how you should refer to them I think so people know who you're talking about
[00:10:23] It's kind of like when you're talking about Ben Affleck Murray you should say pretty much Matt Damon's buddy the one who can't act
[00:10:29] Whatever
[00:10:30] That's the one
[00:10:31] Or just call it Mr. J-Lo
[00:10:33] Or you could call him accurately
[00:10:34] News alert apparently
[00:10:35] The finest actor of mine or anybody else's generation Mr. Ben Affleck
[00:10:39] Apparently J-Lo is moving on to another man already
[00:10:41] Well you know what she's probably tired of his bad acting
[00:10:44] And why would I care what J-Lo's doing? Who the hell is J-Lo?
[00:10:48] Because you care about the guy she's married to
[00:10:50] That's right
[00:10:51] I don't
[00:10:52] Who's she married to?
[00:10:53] How do you are you deeply caring about Ben Affleck in his personal life?
[00:10:58] I could care less about his personal life
[00:11:00] We've been over this Jim
[00:11:01] I don't care about anybody's personal life
[00:11:03] It has no bearing on anything that I look at
[00:11:06] It has no bearing on my opinions about them in any way
[00:11:10] It's their ability to act
[00:11:12] Alright well let's talk about if that Ben Affleck was not in
[00:11:16] Not in
[00:11:17] No
[00:11:18] But Rosemary Clooney's nephew was
[00:11:20] Well he wasn't in much either
[00:11:21] In a very small bit part
[00:11:22] No
[00:11:23] So kids films
[00:11:26] Rated G kid films
[00:11:28] Are not normally films that we actually go and see or even review
[00:11:32] In fact if it's a kid film we actually have a rule that we don't see them
[00:11:37] In this case it is a kids film that transcends kids films
[00:11:44] And makes it into that special category of fantasy family films
[00:11:50] Say that five times fast
[00:11:52] In the vein of The Wizard of Oz or Labyrinth and now also If
[00:11:58] This film is actually a little too heavy for most of the kids that go to see this
[00:12:03] And I know this because more than half of them were like all at the same time saying in the cinema
[00:12:11] What the fuck just happened
[00:12:13] Which you don't usually hear from a four year old
[00:12:15] That's right but they were like what the fuck is happening mommy
[00:12:18] Then five minutes later there was this one genius kid in the cinema that stood up and said
[00:12:26] Oh I get it
[00:12:28] They actually emanate shamalama ding dong to us
[00:12:32] And then I'm like that's right
[00:12:33] He actually got it before I did
[00:12:34] That's right genius
[00:12:36] Well it wasn't exactly those words
[00:12:39] But it was exactly that
[00:12:42] But he shared it with the entire cinema
[00:12:45] That was nice of him
[00:12:46] Yeah it was very nice because all the kids were kind of going like what the fuck is going on
[00:12:49] I don't get it
[00:12:50] All the other kids were yelling stuff out so why shouldn't
[00:12:52] Yeah it was like a giant party in your house
[00:12:56] That's one thing you have to get used to in a cinema full of kids and parents
[00:13:02] Kids asking questions and moms trying to go shh
[00:13:06] Trying to control them basically
[00:13:07] And whisper what's happening
[00:13:09] So that was kind of fun actually
[00:13:11] I was fully enjoying this experience
[00:13:13] Which made me already my cry babying blubberfest cry even more
[00:13:19] Because for the last 20 minutes of this I didn't do anything but cry
[00:13:24] I don't want to tell any spoilers in this
[00:13:27] But it is a film about imaginary friends or ifs
[00:13:31] I'm not sure if that's giving anything away
[00:13:33] A young lady who's 12 as Murray's already said
[00:13:36] Who loses her mom at a very young age
[00:13:39] And at 12 goes back to her family home where her grandma lives
[00:13:43] And her dad has to go to special treatments at the hospital
[00:13:48] What does that mean?
[00:13:51] We don't know
[00:13:53] They didn't really talk about why he was even in there
[00:13:56] He was in the hospital at the start of the movie he never left
[00:13:58] But yeah she was on her own pretty much because the grandmother didn't really care where she went
[00:14:02] Well I think the grandma was just allowing her to probably go through what she was going through
[00:14:06] A 12 year old doesn't want her around the big city
[00:14:08] Yeah there is so much going on in this film
[00:14:12] There is, surprisingly there is
[00:14:14] And for our lead Kaylee Fleming who plays Bea, spelled B-E-A
[00:14:19] And the story they build for all of these magical and fun
[00:14:25] And had all 10 adults bawling their eyes out by the end of this film
[00:14:34] This film is heavy, it's light hearted, it's warm
[00:14:39] And oh yeah it's also not a kids movie Bryce
[00:14:43] It's also a mondo
[00:14:46] I freaking love this film
[00:14:48] I went like just one row below a mondo
[00:14:52] It was almost, it was a kids movie
[00:14:54] I can't give a kids movie a mondo
[00:14:56] Well see it's not a kids movie
[00:14:58] It's a fantasy movie which I am a huge fan of
[00:15:03] And for these type of movies it was the same thing with Up for me
[00:15:07] Like the first 20 minutes of Up I was crying
[00:15:10] The last 20 minutes of this one I was crying
[00:15:12] And if you can bring me to tears in a motherfucking kids rated G movie
[00:15:16] Which really isn't a kids movie
[00:15:18] This is a family, family movie that parents will be able to talk about grief
[00:15:23] And all of the things that kids from a young age don't get yet
[00:15:28] The thing that I actually didn't write down but I want to mention is
[00:15:31] Yo Jim and I are old
[00:15:33] As fuck
[00:15:34] Yeah and you know back when we were kids we didn't have video games
[00:15:40] And well maybe three channels on TV
[00:15:44] I had Pong
[00:15:45] You had Pong, I didn't even have that
[00:15:47] I had Pong
[00:15:48] I was in a small town
[00:15:49] But yeah you're not old
[00:15:50] You just went and bought Pong
[00:15:51] I'm just saying we didn't have a lot of toys
[00:15:53] We didn't have a lot of
[00:15:54] We had sticks and rocks
[00:15:55] Devices we had, you know go play outside
[00:15:57] That's right
[00:15:58] So yes we had to use our imaginations
[00:16:02] And our imaginary friends
[00:16:03] And that I think is maybe one of the problems with this movie is
[00:16:06] Kids today don't need to use imaginations
[00:16:09] Because they have devices in front of them
[00:16:12] That can make them imagine stuff
[00:16:13] 24-7
[00:16:14] So yeah it's great that they have these latest technology
[00:16:17] But they stop using your imaginations
[00:16:20] This movie had a very good message about that
[00:16:23] It's like it's always okay to use your imagination
[00:16:26] Yeah it was
[00:16:27] There was so much going on in this movie that like
[00:16:31] That's how I know it's not a kids movie because
[00:16:34] Almost every kid
[00:16:35] And there was a lot of kids that were
[00:16:37] This is the sort of child who by the way was like 17
[00:16:40] According to the IMDB
[00:16:41] She wasn't actually 12
[00:16:42] But in the movie she played a 12 year old
[00:16:44] But she wasn't actually that young
[00:16:46] That's probably why she was such a good actor actually
[00:16:47] Yeah for sure
[00:16:48] But yeah it had enough adults in it to make it go
[00:16:51] And just some of the voices
[00:16:52] I mean Lou Gossett Jr.
[00:16:54] In like his last role ever
[00:16:56] Richard Jenkins was so awesome
[00:16:59] His character didn't even recognize that voice
[00:17:01] He even looked like Richard Jenkins in the thing
[00:17:03] So they nailed it
[00:17:05] And what's her name Amy Schumer who was a gummy bear
[00:17:08] That basically had a flatulence problem
[00:17:10] Yeah Bryce takes that
[00:17:11] Yeah it was funny
[00:17:12] Yeah so here's my suggestion Bryce
[00:17:14] You're making it sound worse and worse by the way
[00:17:16] The more you guys talk
[00:17:17] You should see it when it comes out
[00:17:20] Whatever
[00:17:21] Wait it's out now
[00:17:22] I'll probably see
[00:17:23] Go see it tonight after this podcast
[00:17:25] That's right
[00:17:26] Alright so Strangers Chapter 1
[00:17:28] Bryce did you get to see Strangers Chapter 1?
[00:17:31] Uh no
[00:17:32] Alright I didn't think you did
[00:17:34] Alright so Strangers Chapter 1
[00:17:38] Is Tamara motherfucking finally home?
[00:17:45] Oh sorry
[00:17:47] Tamara
[00:17:48] Was she in the first one too?
[00:17:49] She's in every one
[00:17:50] I don't remember the first one
[00:17:51] They're always asking for Tamara
[00:17:53] They ask for her in the first one too?
[00:17:54] Every single one
[00:17:55] And I was promised
[00:17:57] I was finally going to know
[00:17:59] Who the motherfuck was
[00:18:01] Tamara
[00:18:02] Sorry it's not Tamara
[00:18:03] It's Tamara
[00:18:04] We know it Tamara
[00:18:05] Yeah exactly
[00:18:06] We don't know a Tamara
[00:18:08] We don't know a Tamara
[00:18:09] No
[00:18:10] Though it's spelled the same
[00:18:11] It is
[00:18:12] It's true
[00:18:13] But I guess this is going to be a trilogy
[00:18:15] If this makes money maybe
[00:18:16] So maybe we will find that out in the third one
[00:18:20] I'm not sure why they basically remade the first one
[00:18:23] But that's exactly what we did with this film
[00:18:26] Which was made in 2008
[00:18:28] Yeah
[00:18:29] And was apparently too vintage of a film quality
[00:18:35] And wasn't
[00:18:37] I'm confused why they remade this
[00:18:39] It made no sense
[00:18:40] Yeah and they
[00:18:41] It's supposed to be Chapter 1 of this trilogy
[00:18:43] But it didn't take place before the original
[00:18:48] Because they had all the latest technology
[00:18:51] Yeah it's almost like a reboot
[00:18:53] And they wanted to do
[00:18:54] It totally was
[00:18:55] And the story
[00:18:56] Now it's not an exact remake of the first one
[00:19:00] Because there is a few differences in it
[00:19:02] But it's basically the same story
[00:19:04] Yeah
[00:19:05] Also not sure why
[00:19:08] There is a thing about small towns in the middle of nowhere
[00:19:12] Which seems to be a common theme in these movies
[00:19:16] Where they have to make everybody a suspect
[00:19:18] They go to the diner and everyone is staring
[00:19:21] And they are trying to build some kind of evil town or something
[00:19:25] Because my experience in small towns
[00:19:27] They don't like strangers
[00:19:28] Is that they are as friendly as fuck
[00:19:30] They are
[00:19:31] They go into a small town
[00:19:32] I grew up in a small town
[00:19:33] Everybody says hi
[00:19:34] Everybody is friendly
[00:19:35] This happens way too many times in movies
[00:19:37] And so I'm really calling it out for being stupid
[00:19:40] Oh totally
[00:19:41] I'm not going to small towns and making them look like they are all fucking creepy
[00:19:44] Because it's not a thing
[00:19:45] And it didn't make the film more surprising or scary
[00:19:49] So once I got past this fact
[00:19:52] That this didn't need to be made at all
[00:19:54] I tried to get myself into the movie
[00:19:57] So here are the good things about it
[00:19:59] The suspense is very well done
[00:20:01] The atmosphere throughout the film
[00:20:03] The up close angles of the bad guys
[00:20:05] And the confrontations in person with the bad guys and the good guys
[00:20:09] Was also very well done
[00:20:11] The bad things would be
[00:20:13] PGI horror
[00:20:14] The people who make bad decisions
[00:20:17] Like when shit goes wrong
[00:20:19] Don't run to the forest
[00:20:21] Get on the road and start running to town
[00:20:23] Or when someone is chopping the bathroom door down
[00:20:28] Break the fucking window and go out the window
[00:20:31] Like the whole time
[00:20:32] Just wait for him to get in
[00:20:33] He's breaking through the door in the bathroom
[00:20:37] And so what are they doing?
[00:20:39] And then it's funny because after that she looks at the window and goes
[00:20:42] Oh there's a window right there
[00:20:43] It's like yeah you knew there was a window
[00:20:45] Because you ran into the bathroom looking at the window
[00:20:48] It's like no
[00:20:50] What were you expecting to do?
[00:20:52] That part was completely dumb
[00:20:56] Just break the window and get the fuck out
[00:20:59] This film didn't need to be made
[00:21:01] Which angers me all of the time
[00:21:03] Because why can't they just make an original story
[00:21:06] Like the rest of the world seems to have no problem doing
[00:21:09] Yeah no, Americans don't do that
[00:21:11] We are now getting a trilogy
[00:21:13] If this one makes money
[00:21:15] We are because according to IMDB
[00:21:17] The director Renny Harlan who made that terrible Pirates movie
[00:21:21] He made all three at the same time
[00:21:24] So all three are already done
[00:21:26] They're already in the can
[00:21:28] Even if this one tanks they're still going to release the other two
[00:21:31] Because they've already made them
[00:21:32] It might be direct to video but they're still going to release them
[00:21:35] Yeah that may be what happens
[00:21:37] The story is exactly the same as the original
[00:21:40] It was a little better than the original in my opinion
[00:21:44] For the suspense building
[00:21:46] But come on could they please murder more people already
[00:21:50] I did like seeing the little Mormon kids in it again
[00:21:53] From the first one
[00:21:55] So I guess
[00:21:56] Mormon kids?
[00:21:57] Yeah those little Mormon kids
[00:21:58] Guys the mask?
[00:21:59] The Mormon kids
[00:22:00] They showed them near the end of the movie
[00:22:02] They were on their bikes
[00:22:04] I must have missed that
[00:22:06] So those ones are in the original first one
[00:22:10] So I guess this gets a meh for the Mormons
[00:22:13] And for the suspense
[00:22:15] I wasn't happy that they remade it
[00:22:17] But it was better than the first one
[00:22:19] And I did re-watch both the originals before I watched this
[00:22:22] It was meh
[00:22:24] But the first one had Luke Wilson
[00:22:26] Yeah so it still wasn't that good
[00:22:28] He's an artist
[00:22:29] Yeah unfortunately she's just unwatchable
[00:22:32] Yeah
[00:22:34] You're being way too generous by the way
[00:22:36] Which apparently is true because when's the last time you saw Liv Tyler in a movie?
[00:22:39] Never she doesn't do them anymore
[00:22:41] She's waiting for her dad to die so she can get all his money
[00:22:46] Maybe
[00:22:48] Who knows
[00:22:49] Okay I have one important question
[00:22:52] What's that?
[00:22:53] Is it a horror film if nobody dies?
[00:22:56] Somebody died
[00:22:57] Like two people one was an accident
[00:22:59] Well one of them died we don't know if they're the
[00:23:02] Oh sorry we're giving away spoilers
[00:23:04] Oh wait watch the first movie you'll know already what happens
[00:23:06] Exactly no two of them died but the one was not killed by the masked freaks
[00:23:12] So that was an accident
[00:23:14] Yeah spoiler alert
[00:23:16] That was a thought that was running through my head while I was watching this
[00:23:20] So do you think it was more of a thriller?
[00:23:22] When is someone going to be killed?
[00:23:24] Do you think it was more of a thriller then?
[00:23:26] I don't think it was an horror movie
[00:23:28] Well besides that running through my head also
[00:23:33] In the back row were a bunch of teenagers who thought it would be funny
[00:23:37] To use a laser pointer on the screen during the slow parts
[00:23:42] For the whole fucking movie
[00:23:44] Yeah it's kind of funny
[00:23:46] I had some murderous thoughts about them I can tell you
[00:23:49] And it wouldn't have taken 90 minutes to get it done I can tell you that
[00:23:53] Sounds hilarious
[00:23:55] I went into the management and got some free passes out of it
[00:23:58] Which was more than anybody else in that screening
[00:24:01] No there was another couple that also got it
[00:24:03] There was a couple that complained I don't know if they got passes
[00:24:06] Yeah they got passes too
[00:24:08] Anyway so I digress
[00:24:10] As people may know I don't like horror films especially slasher type films
[00:24:16] They basically start at a rage for me
[00:24:19] And have to work themselves up to a meh if they're not completely stupid
[00:24:24] This one didn't even make it there
[00:24:27] It was basically a remake of the original
[00:24:30] Which I barely liked
[00:24:32] So you thought this one was worse than the original?
[00:24:35] I don't even remember the first one
[00:24:37] I've never seen the first one in the theater
[00:24:39] I didn't see the second one
[00:24:41] This one was better than the first one
[00:24:43] 90 minutes and almost no kills
[00:24:46] Yes there were some suspenseful moments
[00:24:48] But that's what this movie is it's all about the suspense and the creepiness
[00:24:52] But I didn't see it
[00:24:54] It was too slow
[00:24:56] Movies are always not slow enough
[00:24:58] So I'm actually going to like
[00:25:00] I gotta go watch this
[00:25:02] If I had gone with you guys at a 10 o'clock screening
[00:25:04] I would have been asleep in the first 5 minutes
[00:25:06] He would have what?
[00:25:08] Guaranteed, but enough action
[00:25:10] That doesn't sound right
[00:25:12] There were some suspenseful moments and a couple that made us jump a little bit
[00:25:15] There were just too many stupid moments that ruined the experience
[00:25:20] For example, she's already scared
[00:25:23] But decides to get high anyway
[00:25:26] To make her even more paranoid
[00:25:28] Who smokes weed when you're paranoid already?
[00:25:31] And alone
[00:25:33] Then she plays the piano
[00:25:35] But a record is already playing
[00:25:39] They also make a ton of unnecessary noise
[00:25:41] When they are hiding and trying to be quiet
[00:25:44] Using lights and lighters in dark spaces
[00:25:47] When you are trying to hide
[00:25:49] Yelling each other's names as you run through the forest
[00:25:53] The biggest one for me was
[00:25:55] Running away into the dark woods after a car crash
[00:25:59] Spoiler alert, yeah
[00:26:01] They almost get away and then
[00:26:03] The bad guys crash into them
[00:26:05] And kill their vehicle
[00:26:07] So they run off into the forest
[00:26:09] Meanwhile, the bad guy's truck is sitting there running with the door open
[00:26:14] Stupid
[00:26:16] It's stupid crap like that that makes me hate horror films
[00:26:20] Of course it's a rage
[00:26:22] The only thing I enjoyed was spending time with my homeboy Jim
[00:26:25] Yes, we had fun
[00:26:27] It was a good afternoon outing
[00:26:29] As we celebrated the Queen's birthday or death day
[00:26:34] So is it a death day we celebrate for Victoria Day or her birthday?
[00:26:38] Actually, yeah, the last queen was Elizabeth
[00:26:40] So the one before that was Victoria
[00:26:42] What are we celebrating it for?
[00:26:45] I don't know
[00:26:46] Because we used to be a commonwealth
[00:26:48] Can we not change this because it sounds pretty colonialist
[00:26:51] I'm pretty sure they were celebrating that before we were a country
[00:26:54] So it's just stuck in the books
[00:26:56] Yeah, but I just don't get it
[00:26:58] It's just a long weekend, that's the only excuse
[00:27:00] Well then change it to something else
[00:27:02] Call it camping weekend in May
[00:27:05] There you go
[00:27:06] Right?
[00:27:07] Because that's what you did, Bryce
[00:27:09] I did
[00:27:10] It was cold
[00:27:11] You were in the woods
[00:27:12] Of course it was
[00:27:13] Almost as cold as this basin
[00:27:14] Well, you were not alone
[00:27:16] Because at least half of the city that we live in were out in the mountains trying to do camping as well
[00:27:23] They got all the rain that you did
[00:27:25] We got snow
[00:27:26] I don't remember snow
[00:27:27] To be fair, it wasn't that bad
[00:27:29] The first night was not great
[00:27:31] But it's like that every May long weekend
[00:27:34] It's colder in my house than it was in the tent for the second few nights
[00:27:38] It's been nice and sunny in a May long weekend in I don't know how many years
[00:27:40] Since I moved here
[00:27:42] It's not a thing in Calgary
[00:27:44] It's just not a thing
[00:27:45] No
[00:27:46] We just get used to it
[00:27:47] Alright, so the last movie that I know I saw
[00:27:51] Bryce, did you get to see this movie?
[00:27:53] Which movie was that?
[00:27:54] Back to Black
[00:27:58] I did see this
[00:27:59] Oh, I thought you might have saw that with Kim before you left
[00:28:01] That was the one I thought you didn't want to see
[00:28:03] Alright, well let me tell you about Back to Black
[00:28:07] Please do
[00:28:08] Biopics
[00:28:10] The amount of times I saw this trailer leading up to seeing this
[00:28:15] And every time I kept thinking the whole time
[00:28:19] I really am not looking forward to this film
[00:28:22] The story starts and everything seemed staged and contrived
[00:28:30] Including the dialogue and the pacing and pretty much the whole story
[00:28:34] The whole time I'm not connected to Amy at all
[00:28:38] And I didn't connect to anyone the entire film
[00:28:41] But mostly
[00:28:43] Because it's her film
[00:28:46] But mostly not with her
[00:28:48] And they don't really build her character at all through the entire film
[00:28:52] This film should have drawn me in
[00:28:55] And based on the story they told
[00:28:58] It should have felt anything
[00:29:01] And I should have felt anything
[00:29:03] Or at least something
[00:29:05] By the time we got to the end
[00:29:07] I felt nothing
[00:29:09] The only one that I actually connected with at all was her nan
[00:29:13] Quote unquote
[00:29:14] I didn't really see how she got to this point of her being an addict
[00:29:19] That wasn't developed either
[00:29:21] She came off at the beginning of the film
[00:29:23] As the type of person who didn't take shit from anyone
[00:29:25] And quickly seemed to lose her identity
[00:29:28] Maybe that's what happened
[00:29:31] And they wanted us to feel that way
[00:29:33] But it felt off and didn't feel connected at all
[00:29:37] It felt disjointed
[00:29:39] I got bored and it was way too long
[00:29:42] And did not make me want to download her album
[00:29:45] And for me a biopic about a musician
[00:29:47] When I walk out of that film
[00:29:49] If I've connected to anything
[00:29:51] I want to download their entire content and I want to listen to it
[00:29:53] Didn't feel that at all
[00:29:55] So maybe if you're an Amy fan this will work for you
[00:29:59] But for me this film didn't change my mind about the feelings
[00:30:03] From when I saw the trailer a million times
[00:30:05] Only now I had over two hours of this trailer in a film
[00:30:10] From what I understand of Amy Winehouse's life
[00:30:14] There isn't a way in hell this should have been a rated G film
[00:30:18] And that's exactly what it was
[00:30:20] This biopic was rated motherfucking G
[00:30:23] It was the same rating
[00:30:25] I thought it was a drama, I think it was a biopic
[00:30:27] No, but it's a...
[00:30:29] Yeah, but they actually cast somebody as her
[00:30:31] It wasn't like it was a bunch of footage of her
[00:30:34] No, no, but that's what a biopic is, Murray
[00:30:36] It's an actual biography and it's a film
[00:30:41] So that's what we got
[00:30:42] We got a rated G version of Amy Winehouse's life
[00:30:46] Which there's no way in hell
[00:30:48] So there isn't a G in Mondo
[00:30:50] And there isn't a G in M.A.
[00:30:52] But you know where there is a G?
[00:30:55] Why are you saying it was rated G?
[00:30:57] It's a rage, because it was rated G
[00:31:00] Go on IMDB
[00:31:01] It's rated 14A
[00:31:03] Well, it was rated G when I looked at it when I went there
[00:31:05] Stop quoting me IMDB
[00:31:07] It's driving me insane
[00:31:09] Because IMDB is about as accurate as...
[00:31:11] It should be accurate
[00:31:12] It's not
[00:31:13] It's the internet movie database
[00:31:15] It's as accurate as Wikipedia is
[00:31:17] No
[00:31:19] Is it?
[00:31:20] Yeah
[00:31:21] It's not rated G, Jim
[00:31:23] Well, it felt like it was rated G
[00:31:25] Was there any swearing in it?
[00:31:27] Maybe a swearing?
[00:31:29] Did they show her ODing on drugs?
[00:31:32] No
[00:31:33] There was also some nudity in it
[00:31:36] Brief nudity
[00:31:37] Yeah, that's not G
[00:31:39] You still felt G to me
[00:31:40] Oh my god
[00:31:41] Everything that you would imagine from someone who has her history
[00:31:45] That anybody knows anything about Amy Winehouse
[00:31:48] This was a painted version of that
[00:31:52] We got no reality whatsoever
[00:31:54] It was odd
[00:31:55] I went in not knowing anything about her
[00:31:57] See, I went in knowing a lot about her
[00:31:59] Because unlike Murray, I am a bit of an Amy Winehouse fan
[00:32:02] There you go
[00:32:03] Yeah, I didn't know
[00:32:04] I had heard that one song apparently
[00:32:06] It's called the rehab song
[00:32:08] That's the only song in the whole film that was recognizable to me
[00:32:11] So I went in not knowing a thing
[00:32:13] And I came out really not knowing a thing
[00:32:16] Yeah, because they made no development
[00:32:18] There was no character development
[00:32:20] We needed to know how she got from point A to point B
[00:32:24] Yes, thank you
[00:32:25] And they kind of skipped that journey a little bit
[00:32:27] We were at point A and then all of a sudden we were at point B
[00:32:30] And it's like, okay, sorry, what happened?
[00:32:32] So the movie starts, she's already famous?
[00:32:34] No, she's getting there though
[00:32:37] But we have no idea why she is the way she is
[00:32:41] And that's a problem
[00:32:43] Because that's a big part of who she is
[00:32:45] You should know about this person
[00:32:47] You should know what was going on in her life
[00:32:50] They did highlight
[00:32:52] She's not a spice girl
[00:32:54] Yeah, she's no spice girl
[00:32:56] I don't know
[00:32:57] But yeah, they highlighted all the positive things
[00:33:00] And they glazed over a lot of stuff
[00:33:03] Like they must have because I have no idea
[00:33:07] About anything
[00:33:08] About anything
[00:33:09] Like I went in knowing very little about her
[00:33:11] And I still know very little about her
[00:33:13] And if that's not the job of a biopic
[00:33:16] You know what?
[00:33:17] I don't think that the thought that you and I have
[00:33:20] About what a biopic is
[00:33:21] And what the biopics that we're getting shown is
[00:33:24] I think that there's a disconnect between
[00:33:26] What we think a biopic should be
[00:33:28] And what we actually get
[00:33:29] At the very least
[00:33:30] They don't want to tarnish the image of whoever they're doing it on
[00:33:33] Yeah, yeah, yeah
[00:33:34] At the very least
[00:33:36] I went into this not knowing too much about her
[00:33:41] So I'm usually severely annoyed at timelines in biopics
[00:33:45] Because they kind of move timelines around
[00:33:47] In order to make their picture go in the direction they want
[00:33:51] Make movie magic
[00:33:52] And in this case at least I didn't know anything
[00:33:55] So there's probably stuff that was out of order
[00:33:57] I have no idea
[00:33:58] So that made it better
[00:34:00] I guarantee you know more than I do about her
[00:34:02] She seems like she was a talented young lady
[00:34:08] She was definitely troubled
[00:34:10] And I'm not sure how she exactly got there though
[00:34:14] She's obviously got some alcohol issues and some drug issues
[00:34:17] And that's once again
[00:34:20] It's like one day she
[00:34:23] Well yeah
[00:34:24] Like one day she's wearing a little sweater
[00:34:27] And she's talking to her nan
[00:34:29] And the next thing you know
[00:34:31] She's drinking like a fish
[00:34:34] And I was like okay so what happened in between?
[00:34:37] It's like no time passed
[00:34:40] And all of a sudden she's like a different person
[00:34:42] And then she's a different person again
[00:34:43] It's like okay so what?
[00:34:45] I don't know
[00:34:46] There was nothing really connected
[00:34:48] Like it didn't feel
[00:34:50] None of it felt natural to me
[00:34:52] Like it was just
[00:34:53] They had to get these points into the biopics
[00:34:57] So they just went okay we need a point there
[00:34:59] She's in love with this dude
[00:35:01] Who's obviously sexy or something
[00:35:05] And because they had some
[00:35:07] Yeah their relationship was weird too
[00:35:09] Like I didn't understand
[00:35:11] Maybe there is nothing to understand
[00:35:13] I mean maybe nobody understood
[00:35:15] But I didn't understand why they were together
[00:35:17] I didn't understand anything
[00:35:20] Like nothing happened
[00:35:22] I don't want to be force fed stuff
[00:35:24] And just spoon fed stuff I should actually say
[00:35:27] But at the same time
[00:35:28] I need to
[00:35:29] I'm just very confused
[00:35:31] But it was kind of a bummer
[00:35:35] In other words if you want to know what Amy Winehouse
[00:35:37] Waited for an actual documentary about this
[00:35:39] Yeah I think there is a documentary
[00:35:41] Watch that one
[00:35:42] You call Amy
[00:35:44] I will say this
[00:35:46] The biopic makes me want to watch the documentary
[00:35:49] Just to know what actually happened
[00:35:52] Yeah but that's not the sign of a good biopic
[00:35:54] No it's not
[00:35:56] You just go this person's talented
[00:35:58] She sold the most records by a British singer
[00:36:02] A female singer in the US
[00:36:04] So that part we know
[00:36:06] I was like I'm going to decide if I hated this or not
[00:36:08] I was disappointed in it
[00:36:10] Because I wanted to learn more
[00:36:12] But most biopics are a rage
[00:36:14] So you're kind of like with Murray
[00:36:16] He goes into horror movies with them already having a rage
[00:36:20] And that's usually with you with biopics
[00:36:22] Did it pull you out of your normal complaint
[00:36:25] Just assume that they didn't have everything in order
[00:36:28] Because they probably didn't
[00:36:30] Like all biopics don't
[00:36:32] So just imagine that that happened
[00:36:34] You knew everything about it
[00:36:36] So rate it as a rage
[00:36:38] And then when you see the biopic
[00:36:40] By the actual
[00:36:42] Then I can adjust my ratings accordingly
[00:36:44] Then you can adjust your rating on our
[00:36:46] We'll change the rating on our website
[00:36:48] I actually enjoyed the music in it
[00:36:50] Yeah because she's pretty talented
[00:36:52] Yeah and there are some things I enjoyed
[00:36:56] Because they didn't write those songs, she did
[00:36:58] Yeah and I'm going to guess that the actress that played her
[00:37:03] Later was fairly impressive
[00:37:05] Because she actually sang the songs and everything
[00:37:07] Does she sound like Amy Winehouse
[00:37:09] A little bit yeah
[00:37:11] But I mean she was talented
[00:37:13] Again doesn't make it a good biopic
[00:37:15] No and I'm not saying it's a good biopic
[00:37:17] But you know what it wasn't a rage
[00:37:19] It was meh
[00:37:21] Alright well you're going to change
[00:37:23] Five bucks as he changes his work
[00:37:25] You know what I'm going to watch the doc
[00:37:27] Amy
[00:37:29] At some point in the next five years
[00:37:31] No no I'm giving myself
[00:37:33] Like six weeks
[00:37:35] We're coming up on our fifth anniversary
[00:37:37] Within six weeks
[00:37:39] I'll tell you if I'm
[00:37:41] Keeping my meh or not when I learn a little more about her
[00:37:43] Alright well and you can just
[00:37:45] Look on our website
[00:37:47] I'm going to tell you this though
[00:37:49] This movie maybe can't be a rage because
[00:37:51] It makes me want to watch the biopic
[00:37:53] Not me, I'd already seen the biopic
[00:37:55] Well there you go
[00:37:57] It didn't make me want to download her music
[00:37:59] And that alone is the measurement of a rage
[00:38:01] For me when I come out of a biopic
[00:38:03] There you go
[00:38:05] Or I didn't want to go and learn anymore
[00:38:07] I did learn something
[00:38:09] She wore a lot of eye makeup
[00:38:11] There you go
[00:38:13] Pretty much her whole character was developed for you
[00:38:15] It's all about the eye makeup
[00:38:19] Here
[00:38:21] There's meh
[00:38:23] Nice
[00:38:25] Oh baby
[00:38:27] You're giving us
[00:38:29] Good stuff today meh
[00:38:31] What do you got?
[00:38:33] Are you doing Amy Winehouse?
[00:38:35] I want happy meh back
[00:38:37] If I get one more angry meh man
[00:38:39] Well then stop making me angry and you won't get me anymore
[00:38:41] Quit poking the bear
[00:38:43] Exactly
[00:38:45] You provoked me I think just to piss me off
[00:38:47] I don't provoke anybody
[00:38:49] Now you're both provoking me
[00:38:51] Let's get on with this meh man minute
[00:38:53] Okay, now that I don't have any
[00:38:55] Movie channels or streaming services
[00:38:57] You're watching cable?
[00:38:59] My options for viewing are limited
[00:39:01] I already said that last week
[00:39:03] One that is left is a Canadian TV channel
[00:39:05] That shows mostly old game shows
[00:39:07] But also
[00:39:09] Two movies a night
[00:39:11] Two movies a night
[00:39:13] That are mostly uncut
[00:39:15] Except for the commercial break
[00:39:17] Like they had F bombs
[00:39:19] They had hand drop content
[00:39:21] So this is CBC?
[00:39:23] No
[00:39:25] It's a game TV
[00:39:27] What's it called?
[00:39:29] Game TV
[00:39:31] That's what comes with basic cable price
[00:39:33] You don't have to pay extra for game TV
[00:39:35] No
[00:39:37] Life is good my friend
[00:39:39] See that's why
[00:39:41] He's got the joy this week
[00:39:43] Who's got the joy?
[00:39:45] Anyway yeah it has two movies a night
[00:39:47] Except for commercials
[00:39:49] It's pretty much uncut
[00:39:51] So I've seen a lot
[00:39:53] Of the movie that I missed
[00:39:55] When it was in theaters or I never bothered to go to in the first place
[00:39:57] This week
[00:39:59] Was collateral
[00:40:01] Oh my freaking
[00:40:03] Gosh
[00:40:05] Directed by Michael Mann
[00:40:07] Starring Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx
[00:40:09] Both of those guys
[00:40:11] I like
[00:40:13] I guess the movie
[00:40:15] Didn't appeal to me at the time
[00:40:17] So I didn't go to it
[00:40:19] Now that I've seen it
[00:40:21] Here comes my unpopular opinion
[00:40:23] What?
[00:40:25] I didn't like it
[00:40:27] There you go
[00:40:29] There were some car chases and fight scenes
[00:40:31] That were enjoyable
[00:40:33] I had a lot of issues with him
[00:40:35] So here goes
[00:40:37] Let's talk about the hair
[00:40:39] The hair was great
[00:40:41] Tom Cruise had a really bad
[00:40:43] Bleached blonde crew cut
[00:40:45] It looked good
[00:40:47] And it still wasn't as bad
[00:40:49] Mark Ruffalo with the greasy hair
[00:40:51] And the bad goatee and mustache
[00:40:53] Wait, that's right
[00:40:55] The potato himself was in this
[00:40:57] The potato was in it for like five minutes
[00:40:59] He's a fine thespian
[00:41:01] I think this was when I started my beliefs of his potato
[00:41:03] Next up
[00:41:05] How good was he
[00:41:07] Poor things
[00:41:09] Yeah he was good in that
[00:41:11] That's it
[00:41:13] He's still a potato
[00:41:15] It's true
[00:41:17] Bad hair all around
[00:41:19] Bad hair is what makes movies worth watching
[00:41:21] No it doesn't
[00:41:23] Next up
[00:41:25] After the first guy falls out of the window
[00:41:27] And crashes onto
[00:41:29] The roof of the cab
[00:41:31] They continue to drive around in it
[00:41:33] Of course they did
[00:41:35] One day they got pulled over
[00:41:37] Wouldn't it be inconspicuous Tom Cruise
[00:41:39] It would have been better off to ditch the car
[00:41:41] To steal another one
[00:41:43] Lazy writing
[00:41:45] Tom Cruise didn't have time
[00:41:47] The shootout at the club
[00:41:49] Yes
[00:41:51] Mr. Inconspicuous himself
[00:41:53] Decides to try to kill somebody
[00:41:55] In a crowded nightclub
[00:41:57] With hundreds of witnesses
[00:41:59] Like John Wick style
[00:42:01] Of course the cops find him there
[00:42:03] Well yeah
[00:42:05] After everybody exchanges bullets
[00:42:07] Cruise manages to walk out
[00:42:09] Unscathed
[00:42:11] Kills most of the cops
[00:42:13] And escapes with Fox
[00:42:15] Who was actually in police protection at the time
[00:42:17] What is actually going on right now
[00:42:19] Because usually when we're talking about Tom Cruise
[00:42:21] Murray's got a Tom boner
[00:42:23] And Price
[00:42:25] And no
[00:42:27] And Price is like
[00:42:29] Tom Cruise sucks
[00:42:31] They just can't insult my intelligence
[00:42:33] This is like a twist of fate
[00:42:35] It's almost like John Song
[00:42:37] Every now and then Tom Cruise has a gem
[00:42:39] Next up
[00:42:41] Jason Statham
[00:42:43] One of the world's biggest action stars
[00:42:45] Makes a
[00:42:47] 30 second cameo at the beginning
[00:42:49] Of the movie
[00:42:51] And what happens? Nothing!
[00:42:53] What a wasted opportunity
[00:42:55] Thought he was going to kill him in the airport or something
[00:42:57] But he did, he just walked past him
[00:42:59] What's the point of casting him if you're not going to have him in a fight scene
[00:43:01] Or something
[00:43:03] That was just stupid
[00:43:05] Exactly
[00:43:07] Can't always get what you want
[00:43:09] If I showed up at the end of the movie and didn't kick Tom Cruise's ass
[00:43:11] Then it would have been okay
[00:43:13] That was foreshadowing
[00:43:15] It was nothing
[00:43:17] Well cause Jason Statham is 3 inches taller than Tom Cruise
[00:43:19] They can't have him stand side by side
[00:43:21] Then why put him in the movie?
[00:43:23] You could have cast anybody for that 30 second
[00:43:25] They need Stallone
[00:43:27] And Tom Cruise to make a movie together
[00:43:29] Cause then they don't have to have funny angles
[00:43:31] So people walk the same height
[00:43:33] And Sylvester Stallone
[00:43:35] And Sylvester Stallone
[00:43:37] They should remake 3 amigos together
[00:43:39] In one of the biggest moments in the film
[00:43:41] There's a huge car crash
[00:43:43] Of the already damaged taxi
[00:43:45] Yes, there was
[00:43:47] And guess what?
[00:43:49] The bad guy walks away from that one too
[00:43:51] Of course he does
[00:43:53] I don't care who you are
[00:43:55] Nobody just walks away from a roll over
[00:43:57] Not even a scratch
[00:43:59] Check your brain at the door buddy
[00:44:01] Yeah, that's what I keep telling you
[00:44:03] But you don't do it
[00:44:05] This is the best story I've ever heard in my life
[00:44:09] Okay
[00:44:11] Then during the final scenes
[00:44:13] Cruise manages to cut the power
[00:44:15] To one floor
[00:44:17] With an axe
[00:44:19] At a power box
[00:44:21] He chose one floor
[00:44:23] He chose the floor they were on
[00:44:25] And he went to where the elevator
[00:44:27] He used an axe
[00:44:29] And he chopped at the box
[00:44:31] And he only cut the power to the floor
[00:44:33] The rest of the building was fine
[00:44:35] And the elevator still worked
[00:44:37] You don't know there isn't
[00:44:39] 57 other rooms
[00:44:41] Was there like 57 power boxes
[00:44:43] One on every floor I assume
[00:44:45] But yeah, that was stupid
[00:44:47] And the elevator still worked
[00:44:49] You're being awfully picky Murray
[00:44:51] This science is awesome
[00:44:53] Wait, was this part of the Fast and the Furious franchise?
[00:44:57] Fast and the Furious collateral
[00:44:59] Then we got the final showdown
[00:45:01] Between Fox and Cruise on the train
[00:45:03] Yes
[00:45:05] Spoiler alert
[00:45:07] Fox wins in the end
[00:45:09] Yeah, of course he does, he's a good guy
[00:45:11] Cruise played a trained hitman
[00:45:13] Fox is a cab driver with no fighting skills
[00:45:15] Or experience even firing a gun
[00:45:17] Yeah, but he's a good guy
[00:45:19] Unless they left out the fact that
[00:45:21] Fox's character was a retired Special Forces guy
[00:45:23] Or something
[00:45:25] Like WTF
[00:45:27] Nobody kills Tom Cruise
[00:45:29] Well yeah, but in this case
[00:45:31] They actually did
[00:45:33] Some cab driver
[00:45:35] Adrenaline kicked in
[00:45:37] If they got into a fist fight
[00:45:39] Cruise would have kicked his ass
[00:45:41] Just chopped him in the neck once
[00:45:43] He would have punched up into his neck
[00:45:45] And finally
[00:45:47] I'm sure some people like this film
[00:45:49] Just not me
[00:45:51] Yeah, I'm on team Murray on this one
[00:45:53] I would give it just slightly above a rage
[00:45:55] I love almost the entire catalog of Tom Cruise
[00:45:57] That's right
[00:45:59] He does
[00:46:01] This is good
[00:46:03] This was the best Merman Minute
[00:46:05] That I could have experienced in a long time
[00:46:07] And even brought the rage
[00:46:09] It's good, I loved it
[00:46:11] Well he brought the low man
[00:46:13] Nice
[00:46:15] I entertained you anyway so
[00:46:17] That's the important thing
[00:46:19] That was so good
[00:46:21] Temperature rising
[00:46:23] Vision blurring
[00:46:25] Rage
[00:46:27] Taking over
[00:46:52] How I love you
[00:46:54] Alright
[00:46:58] If some of you remember
[00:47:00] That listened to our podcast
[00:47:02] Which I know there's at least
[00:47:04] A couple
[00:47:06] You remember not that long ago
[00:47:08] I was dared to see
[00:47:10] A legacy film
[00:47:14] That starred the dude
[00:47:16] Tron, yeah
[00:47:18] Yeah, so my rage this week
[00:47:20] Oh they're making another one
[00:47:22] Yeah, spoiler alert
[00:47:24] They're making a fucking third Tron
[00:47:26] First off the first movie
[00:47:28] Is terrible
[00:47:30] And they remake it
[00:47:32] The second one is also so unwatchable
[00:47:34] And terrible
[00:47:36] They've got the dude in it
[00:47:38] And now he's coming back
[00:47:40] For a third version
[00:47:42] Of this fucking Tron movie
[00:47:44] Like I don't know how many times
[00:47:46] I have to say this
[00:47:48] Hollywood is a train wreck
[00:47:50] Of awful
[00:47:52] There's basically nothing
[00:47:54] That is happening in Hollywood
[00:47:56] That I am excited about
[00:47:58] One iota
[00:48:00] Because everything now
[00:48:02] They're not even making an effort
[00:48:04] Original anything
[00:48:06] The only people that are doing anything
[00:48:08] Original is A24
[00:48:10] I think all the other studios should be shut down
[00:48:12] From lack of content
[00:48:14] And just fucking end it all
[00:48:16] The fact that they're putting Tron
[00:48:18] 3 out
[00:48:20] Is beyond
[00:48:22] Infuriating to me
[00:48:24] I just can't fucking believe it
[00:48:26] It's so awful
[00:48:28] That's my rage this week
[00:48:30] When I saw that trailer I'm like
[00:48:32] I don't think it ever happened to me
[00:48:34] I didn't see the trailer I just read that they were making another one
[00:48:36] Well watch the trailer
[00:48:38] He was old as shit in the last one
[00:48:40] And that was like 10 years ago
[00:48:42] He's only getting older
[00:48:44] It's unwatchable so this one is also going to be unwatchable
[00:48:46] Sure
[00:48:48] The first one I had to go back and rewatch
[00:48:50] And I only made it halfway through
[00:48:52] The first one I just remember the video game
[00:48:54] I didn't even remember I see the movie
[00:48:56] The video game?
[00:48:58] The video game was good
[00:49:00] Which one you want to go?
[00:49:02] I think Bryce only liked one of those areas
[00:49:04] I like the bike one
[00:49:06] The bike is the best one
[00:49:08] I'm sorry what were we talking about?
[00:49:10] Tron 3
[00:49:12] Tron 3 the video game
[00:49:14] With the dude
[00:49:16] The only thing I liked in Tron the video game was actually the one where you
[00:49:18] Do the little lasers and it's like
[00:49:20] Break out
[00:49:22] Oh you didn't like the bike?
[00:49:24] Oh yeah no the bike one was good too
[00:49:26] It was like snafu
[00:49:28] Yeah exactly
[00:49:30] You have like a what do you call it
[00:49:32] A trail behind you
[00:49:34] It's a trap the guy so he crashed into it
[00:49:36] I think snafu came first though
[00:49:38] Ripped off snafu
[00:49:40] Well cause guess what?
[00:49:42] It was made by Disney they have no original ideas
[00:49:44] And you know what else I remember
[00:49:46] What were the other games?
[00:49:48] The disc game that was good too
[00:49:50] What are you talking about?
[00:49:52] We're talking that you're the idiot that said it wasn't good in the first place
[00:49:54] I disagree with myself
[00:49:56] There you go
[00:49:58] I think they were all good
[00:50:00] When he's actually listening and thinking about what's going on around him
[00:50:02] He sometimes wakes up
[00:50:04] I remember back then not even seeing the movie
[00:50:06] But their merchandising was like everywhere
[00:50:08] I had like the collector cups and toys
[00:50:10] Of a movie I hadn't even seen
[00:50:12] Because they were freaking everywhere
[00:50:14] You know of all the things that infuriate me
[00:50:16] One thing that brings me joy
[00:50:18] Is when they bring out these plastic
[00:50:20] Toys
[00:50:22] That fill with popcorn and now they're bringing in things
[00:50:24] Where you reach inside someone's ass to grab popcorn
[00:50:26] That alone is worth the price of admission
[00:50:28] That actually happened on Monday
[00:50:30] We went to see IF
[00:50:32] Of course you know theater full of kids
[00:50:34] And I just wanted to get something to drink
[00:50:36] We managed to get a line up that wasn't too busy
[00:50:38] Up on the top shelf
[00:50:40] I saw Grimace
[00:50:42] From McDonalds
[00:50:44] I'm like isn't that Grimace
[00:50:46] No that's from IF
[00:50:48] I'm like oh what's it doing up there
[00:50:50] I turned the thing around and yeah
[00:50:52] Popcorn in his ass
[00:50:54] And eat it from there and I'm like really
[00:50:56] But how much did the parents have to pay for that thing
[00:50:58] You know what the important thing is
[00:51:00] When you go to a movie theater nowadays
[00:51:02] You can just eat some ass
[00:51:04] All about the merchandising
[00:51:06] As the great
[00:51:08] Mel Brooks would say
[00:51:10] Merchandising
[00:51:12] Mel Brooks is a god
[00:51:14] He still is
[00:51:16] Is he still alive?
[00:51:22] Well
[00:51:38] Um
[00:51:40] I don't know
[00:51:42] You didn't get to see a movie with Samara and I?
[00:51:44] No that's not us
[00:51:46] You had a whole Monday where we could have been watching movies together
[00:51:48] And you weren't there to be a part of it
[00:51:50] I was in Southeastern BC
[00:51:52] Breeze your ass off
[00:51:54] No not really just the first night
[00:51:56] The Saturday night was brutal up in
[00:51:58] Dearborn
[00:52:00] It was cold up there
[00:52:02] Michigan?
[00:52:04] Minus one overnight so not terrible
[00:52:06] But you know
[00:52:08] Didn't you guys create some camping friction if you know what I'm talking about
[00:52:10] Get you all warmed up
[00:52:12] I don't know what you're talking about
[00:52:14] Two in a sleeping bag kind of action?
[00:52:16] Yeah exactly
[00:52:18] Sorry what we were talking about
[00:52:20] Oh it's my rage
[00:52:22] We're just stalling for time here
[00:52:24] You know what
[00:52:26] Here's my rage
[00:52:28] Is it also Tron 3?
[00:52:30] No I got a bag of popcorn from the movies
[00:52:32] I shake it twice
[00:52:34] And I no longer have a bag of popcorn
[00:52:36] I have two thirds of a bag of popcorn
[00:52:38] What?
[00:52:40] Can you not just shake it like a little bit
[00:52:42] And then pack it in
[00:52:44] And give me a full bag of popcorn
[00:52:46] Instead of like 90% air
[00:52:48] You know that is a pretty
[00:52:50] Terrible rage
[00:52:52] You're charging me like
[00:52:54] I don't even know 7-8 bucks for this bag of popcorn
[00:52:56] You can't fill the thing
[00:52:58] You know the rule
[00:53:00] I'm trying to support cinemas
[00:53:02] It doesn't cost them nothing
[00:53:04] To give me a little extra popcorn
[00:53:06] You get a free refill with a large one
[00:53:08] Well you must have been to Cineplex
[00:53:10] Yeah well it doesn't matter
[00:53:12] If I get a free refill or not
[00:53:14] Here's the thing
[00:53:16] I don't want a free refill
[00:53:18] I just want the first bag to be full
[00:53:20] I don't need a free refill
[00:53:22] In fact if I have the refill on the occasions I do now
[00:53:24] It pretty much makes me sick
[00:53:26] Between you and me
[00:53:28] I don't want to get popcorn
[00:53:30] At Landmark anyway
[00:53:32] Not so much Cineplex
[00:53:34] I go for the kitty package
[00:53:36] It's a little tiny box
[00:53:38] And I actually end up brushing
[00:53:40] A big chunk of it into the garbage
[00:53:42] Because I don't want it spilling all over the place
[00:53:44] When I'm walking around with it
[00:53:46] Why are you walking around with popcorn
[00:53:48] Because I'm going to the theater
[00:53:50] I'm going to the concession to the theater
[00:53:52] And by the time I'm there it's all over the floor
[00:53:54] Here's what my solution is for this
[00:53:56] The solution for all of this popcorn issue
[00:53:58] Is just eat the fucking popcorn out of someone's ass
[00:54:02] That's the only way to solve this problem
[00:54:04] I guarantee that it's not packed in there like it should be either
[00:54:08] Just buy the Grim is collectible and put popcorn in his ass
[00:54:12] Eat out of that
[00:54:14] That's not the point at all
[00:54:16] I don't know what you guys are talking about
[00:54:18] You're all just vulgar
[00:54:20] What we're saying is you're a glutton is what we're saying
[00:54:22] Maybe eat less popcorn
[00:54:24] No
[00:54:38] Alright
[00:54:40] Well I don't think anybody
[00:54:42] You know what I do have to mention
[00:54:44] That
[00:54:46] Your RyRy was not the usual Deadpool light in this last film
[00:54:50] No he wasn't
[00:54:52] He wasn't in it enough
[00:54:54] He did get to show a little bit of his acting skills
[00:54:56] Really?
[00:54:58] I'm going to go on the record
[00:55:00] Ryan Reynolds all he does is imitate Chevy Chase in every single movie he's in
[00:55:04] He's just a Chevy Chase clone
[00:55:08] I'll quote Bryce on this
[00:55:10] And say you know what Bryce you don't know because you didn't see the movie
[00:55:12] That's right
[00:55:14] And once you've seen it and you realize it's not a kids movie
[00:55:16] And that RyRy
[00:55:18] Is doing his best
[00:55:20] Doing his best new version
[00:55:22] A third Ryan Reynolds that we're not used to
[00:55:24] That's right
[00:55:26] The dad
[00:55:28] Why are we talking about this on the list
[00:55:30] Regardless of whether we had
[00:55:32] I was trying to see if there were any actors that we saw this week
[00:55:34] That deserved to be talked about
[00:55:36] Ryan Reynolds deserved it this week
[00:55:38] Based on what?
[00:55:40] I don't understand what is going on right now
[00:55:42] Are you putting him forward for something?
[00:55:44] No I'm just saying he was really good
[00:55:46] Well that's not the list
[00:55:48] What are we doing?
[00:55:50] I'm just saying
[00:55:52] Can I talk now?
[00:55:54] Do we have anybody we're seeing?
[00:55:56] I was just going to add regardless of whether or not
[00:55:58] If was put on our list for the podcast
[00:56:00] I was still going to see it because
[00:56:02] Ryan Reynolds was in it
[00:56:04] Are you putting him forward?
[00:56:06] What's going on?
[00:56:08] I would never even dream of putting him on the list
[00:56:10] You should talk about that in your Merman Minute
[00:56:12] But this is the list
[00:56:14] Because you would never even consider it
[00:56:16] That's why I'm not a never
[00:56:18] You got that right
[00:56:20] Exactly right
[00:56:22] That is 100% accurate Merman
[00:56:24] I'm only in good for so much punishment
[00:56:26] But Murray that's also why he doesn't bring up Ben Affleck
[00:56:30] He's the finest actor of mine
[00:56:32] Everybody has their favorites
[00:56:34] And all of our favorites
[00:56:36] Could not necessarily be loved by everybody
[00:56:38] You guys can joke about not liking them all the time
[00:56:40] All you want
[00:56:42] It doesn't bother me
[00:56:44] I'm absolutely not joking about it
[00:56:46] I get it
[00:56:48] You're having fun
[00:56:50] I can't fucking stand the guy
[00:56:52] So do we have anybody we're going to watch for next week?
[00:56:54] Well
[00:56:56] Oh my god there's going to be a terrifying three
[00:57:02] Where have you been?
[00:57:04] We added another Ryan
[00:57:06] Last week
[00:57:08] You know what?
[00:57:10] Nothing
[00:57:12] Zero matches
[00:57:14] Because everybody he was in a movie with is no longer on the list
[00:57:16] Nice
[00:57:18] And the other two that I did find
[00:57:20] Russell Crowe
[00:57:22] And Sean Penn
[00:57:24] Two guys who are mesmerized for life
[00:57:26] Who I can't put them up against
[00:57:28] So yeah Gosling has nobody
[00:57:30] So that's good news
[00:57:32] He's going to be mesmerized for life
[00:57:34] For life he's actually still making movies
[00:57:36] Yeah
[00:57:38] And I went back and went through a few other
[00:57:40] Ones
[00:57:42] I tried to find something, anything
[00:57:44] And you got nothing?
[00:57:46] Maybe
[00:57:48] Alright well you know what?
[00:57:50] The important thing is
[00:57:52] That we now might have the final
[00:57:54] List until they keep making more movies
[00:57:56] Looking that way
[00:57:58] So people go to our website
[00:58:00] FilmRageYYC.com
[00:58:02] Check the lists
[00:58:04] I've got one I don't know if we talked about it
[00:58:06] Yeah
[00:58:08] I found one with Daniel Day-Lewis
[00:58:10] Who I originally
[00:58:12] Couldn't find anybody
[00:58:14] He was in a movie
[00:58:16] Maggie Smith
[00:58:18] Who's also on our list still
[00:58:20] It was called
[00:58:22] A Room With A View
[00:58:24] I don't know if you guys ever reviewed that one
[00:58:26] No we have not
[00:58:28] We're in Simpatico today
[00:58:30] I don't think she was in it very much
[00:58:32] You know what? It's a good reason
[00:58:34] To watch that film again
[00:58:36] I will watch it
[00:58:38] She was in it for 5 minutes
[00:58:40] That's the rule right?
[00:58:42] 5 minutes
[00:58:44] Murray that's awesome
[00:58:46] If you're going with
[00:58:48] IMDB
[00:58:50] The first person on it is Maggie Smith
[00:58:52] Because IMDB is so accurate
[00:58:54] 100% all the time
[00:58:56] Rated G
[00:58:58] Oh my god
[00:59:00] By the way
[00:59:02] And Daniel Day-Lewis
[00:59:04] Please don't quote IMDB anymore
[00:59:06] That's my rage this week
[00:59:08] Can I go back to my rage?
[00:59:10] You keep bringing up IMDB
[00:59:12] When it's the most inaccurate thing on the face of the earth
[00:59:14] Wikipedia
[00:59:16] It has a full database of all the actors
[00:59:18] And movies
[00:59:20] Wikipedia is like the fricking gospel
[00:59:22] Compared to fricking IMDB
[00:59:24] What's a gospel?
[00:59:26] When you find me a better website that has a database
[00:59:28] Then I will use it
[00:59:30] So there
[00:59:32] Don't sit there and tell me how accurate it is
[00:59:34] Because it's not
[00:59:36] I didn't say it was accurate
[00:59:38] I'm not talking to you Murray
[00:59:40] I'm talking to Jim on this one
[00:59:42] Because he's the one that keeps on bringing up IMDB
[00:59:44] We got 7 conversations going on here
[00:59:46] But the important thing is
[00:59:48] Is that we're going to be watching
[00:59:50] Daniel Day-Lewis
[00:59:52] Versus Maggie Smith
[00:59:54] In a room with a view
[00:59:56] How much is
[01:00:00] Daniel Day-Lewis in it really though?
[01:00:02] We're going to find out
[01:00:04] Julian Sands is the main actor in it
[01:00:06] And is Helen a bottom carder
[01:00:08] I can't even remember
[01:00:10] We've already moved on
[01:00:12] You should shut the fuck up
[01:00:14] I guess I'm watching a room with a view
[01:00:16] We are yes
[01:00:18] Are you done yet?
[01:00:20] Can we move on or what's up?
[01:00:22] Are you holding onto
[01:00:24] You guys yeah, we're on for like 10 years about nothing
[01:00:26] I'm actually trying to figure out what's going on here
[01:00:28] Do you want to talk about IMDB again?
[01:00:30] Not really
[01:00:32] Then can we let Casey
[01:00:34] Come on and tell us what's happening
[01:00:36] I guess so
[01:00:38] Whatever
[01:00:40] Ready?
[01:00:42] Last week on
[01:00:44] Rage or Dare
[01:00:46] The boys took a double scoop
[01:00:48] From the Merman's ice cream
[01:00:50] Bucket of rage when they picked a movie with
[01:00:52] 2 TV actors in it
[01:00:54] What's that you say?
[01:00:56] TV actors in movies?
[01:00:58] Is that allowed?
[01:01:00] The boys picked the movie Madhouse
[01:01:02] Starring John Larroquette
[01:01:04] And Kirstie Alley
[01:01:06] And the boys seemed to forget that both of these actors
[01:01:08] Were in Star Trek films
[01:01:10] As well as both being in 2
[01:01:12] Separate very different movies
[01:01:14] Both named Blind Date
[01:01:16] Alley was also in the Look Who's Talking
[01:01:18] Films while Larroquette
[01:01:20] Has narrated every Texas
[01:01:22] Chainsaw Massacre film
[01:01:24] Back to the original in 1974
[01:01:26] Not a joke, look it up
[01:01:28] This week it's Bryce's turn to
[01:01:30] Rage or Dare
[01:01:32] What? Got nothing to say Bryce?
[01:01:34] Normally you're whining like a baby
[01:01:36] About blah blah blah this
[01:01:38] And not your turn and blah blah blah
[01:01:40] Then whine whine whine
[01:01:42] Nothing? Come on Bryce
[01:01:44] Now let's check in with the boys
[01:01:46] And find out who wins for the most
[01:01:48] Rage filled Cheers reject
[01:01:50] Or Night Court reject
[01:01:52] Or who knows maybe this film was awesome
[01:01:54] I mean Dennis Miller
[01:01:56] Is in it and he's great in all his movies
[01:02:00] No seriously Bordello of Blood was great
[01:02:04] No it wasn't
[01:02:06] Look at Casey go
[01:02:08] Look at him do all the fact finding there
[01:02:10] Casey's a god of rage
[01:02:12] Bordello of Blood was barely watchable
[01:02:14] It wasn't like the other one with
[01:02:16] What's His Face
[01:02:18] The guy from the Titanic movie
[01:02:20] Titanic dude
[01:02:22] Billy Zane
[01:02:24] Now that was a good
[01:02:26] Demon Knight
[01:02:28] Alright so Madhouse
[01:02:30] TV actors in a
[01:02:32] TV show theme plot
[01:02:34] With
[01:02:36] Fat shaming
[01:02:38] That
[01:02:40] With sets
[01:02:42] Maybe that's why Curse the Alley got
[01:02:44] Heavy
[01:02:46] It was repercussions from this movie
[01:02:48] With sets that look
[01:02:50] You guessed it
[01:02:52] On a TV set
[01:02:54] With characters that are one dimensional
[01:02:56] And that's right TV
[01:02:58] Adjacent
[01:03:00] Everyone is annoying
[01:03:02] Not funny
[01:03:04] Because they threw a bunch of complete
[01:03:06] Opposites together in a house cause of
[01:03:08] Who cares for what reason
[01:03:10] And then they are all
[01:03:12] Annoying for different reasons
[01:03:14] You know TV like storyline
[01:03:16] Reasons
[01:03:18] Now all that being said
[01:03:20] And the cat of the one couple
[01:03:22] Who is John Larkett's
[01:03:24] Cousin and they bring this cat with them
[01:03:26] And the cat throws up everywhere
[01:03:28] In their car that was funny
[01:03:30] No that wasn't funny
[01:03:32] There was one thing that made me laugh
[01:03:34] I don't remember what it was
[01:03:36] But that was in the first 10 minutes
[01:03:38] And then
[01:03:40] This was beyond insufferable for the rest
[01:03:42] Of the film cause it had
[01:03:44] TV like sex scenes with Larkett
[01:03:46] And Allie
[01:03:48] And then there was the
[01:03:50] The bad racism comments
[01:03:52] The bad sound mix
[01:03:54] Sorry did I mean
[01:03:56] Sound mix or TV like sound mix
[01:03:58] And I don't even think there was a soundtrack
[01:04:00] It was just like a
[01:04:02] TV show sound
[01:04:04] Music
[01:04:06] Basically what I'm saying is
[01:04:08] This was the plot of a TV show
[01:04:10] That was way too long
[01:04:12] It was not funny one iota
[01:04:14] And also annoyed me for exactly
[01:04:16] How awful it was a terrible terrible
[01:04:18] Terrible painful rage I hated every
[01:04:20] Single thing about it except for the cat
[01:04:22] That kept dying and then also
[01:04:24] Throwing up
[01:04:26] The cat was the only thing worth watching in this movie
[01:04:28] Yeah I didn't even think the cat was worth
[01:04:30] Watching in this movie
[01:04:32] So there was even less for you than
[01:04:34] John Larkett is just he's unwatchable
[01:04:36] He was terrible he was even terrible in night court
[01:04:38] He's the worst part of night court
[01:04:40] But whatever
[01:04:42] Kirstie Allie is just
[01:04:44] Yeah she is repulsive
[01:04:46] She should probably be on the repulsive list
[01:04:48] I think John Larkett could also be on this list
[01:04:52] And in this movie
[01:04:54] The last thing I want to do is see
[01:04:56] Kirstie Allie prancing
[01:04:58] Around in her just her bra
[01:05:00] Which is like I don't know
[01:05:02] She's just got her top off about half
[01:05:04] The movie for some reason
[01:05:06] But you don't see anything cause it's TV
[01:05:08] Style
[01:05:10] Well no you see her in her bra and it's like
[01:05:12] Why why why do you keep on taking
[01:05:14] Her shirt off for no reason
[01:05:16] I don't know made no sense to me either
[01:05:18] It was weird
[01:05:20] Or people have sex in their underwear
[01:05:22] There was something that made me laugh
[01:05:24] And for the life of me
[01:05:26] It wasn't to do with the cat
[01:05:28] It wasn't the first ten minutes but it had nothing to do with the cat
[01:05:30] Was it the kid cause the one kid
[01:05:32] The serial killer
[01:05:34] The serial killer kid wasn't funny
[01:05:36] The next door neighbor
[01:05:38] The father of the serial killer
[01:05:40] Kid wasn't funny
[01:05:42] Let's see we could run down of all
[01:05:44] The things that weren't funny in this movie
[01:05:46] But don't know that we have
[01:05:48] That much time
[01:05:50] You know what it's not worth it cause this movie is so completely
[01:05:52] Awful
[01:05:54] But you can watch it for free on Tubi
[01:05:56] That's true
[01:05:58] That is where I actually watched it
[01:06:00] So on that note I've enjoyed
[01:06:02] The commercials
[01:06:04] Between the movie where Tubi commercials are the
[01:06:06] Best commercials are
[01:06:08] Because they're usually like 20 seconds long
[01:06:10] I don't know how Tubi is making money
[01:06:12] It's the same three ones every time
[01:06:14] Yeah but
[01:06:16] This movie was really really bad
[01:06:18] So that was a rage for you then?
[01:06:20] This is another but there are so many
[01:06:22] Movies like this and it makes me think that
[01:06:24] For my rage bag I should be just going back
[01:06:26] And looking at like 80s comedies
[01:06:28] Cause man
[01:06:30] There's a ton of them like this
[01:06:32] I need to maybe do that
[01:06:34] They star like people like Tom Hanks
[01:06:36] Cause I don't know if you knew this or not
[01:06:38] But I still haven't put anything in that rage bag
[01:06:40] Well it's your turn to choose this week so it doesn't matter
[01:06:42] I guess I got another week then
[01:06:44] Yeah unless you want me to keep
[01:06:46] Pulling from someone else's bag
[01:06:48] No I want to punish you at some point here
[01:06:50] And just so you know
[01:06:52] We actually have been challenged
[01:06:54] By two of our listeners by the way
[01:06:56] So I'm waiting for one
[01:06:58] Yeah I'm waiting for one
[01:07:00] We got some buy me a coffee money
[01:07:02] From one
[01:07:04] And the other one we've been challenged
[01:07:06] Which I won't bring up this time but when Bryce and I are
[01:07:08] Watching the next film we will not be
[01:07:10] Pulling from anybody
[01:07:12] We have a challenge to watch
[01:07:14] Something
[01:07:16] So stay tuned for that
[01:07:18] So Bryce what are you doing? You want to go to my rage bag?
[01:07:20] You want to go to the audience?
[01:07:22] You want to go to Casey? Casey's running thin too
[01:07:30] Doesn't look like there's a ton in the audience bag
[01:07:32] There's a lot in mine
[01:07:34] You know what I think you'd probably give me something good
[01:07:36] Yeah probably
[01:07:38] Absolutely
[01:07:40] I'm not afraid of your bag
[01:07:42] Your bag's alright
[01:07:44] I barely didn't do any effort in finding anything
[01:07:46] In this so you probably won't find
[01:07:48] Anything terrible
[01:07:50] I got a lot of new stuff
[01:07:52] I don't understand why everything's
[01:07:54] New all I'm looking at is the date right now
[01:07:56] Apparently this movie I'm going to be watching is from
[01:07:58] 2019
[01:08:00] The last thing
[01:08:02] So it's got multiple words in it
[01:08:04] Project
[01:08:06] Wakefield
[01:08:08] A
[01:08:10] Wakefield project I don't know what that is
[01:08:12] Well you're going to find out
[01:08:14] Have I seen this?
[01:08:16] I'm guessing no
[01:08:18] You probably shouldn't look on IMDB though
[01:08:20] Because it means nothing
[01:08:22] I didn't say it means nothing but
[01:08:24] To sit there and quote it as if it's like
[01:08:26] Gospel according to
[01:08:28] According to what?
[01:08:30] It's also available on Tubi
[01:08:32] It is like completely
[01:08:34] Inaccurate
[01:08:36] But anyways
[01:08:38] You'll be happy to know that the Wakefield
[01:08:40] Project had a worldwide growth
[01:08:42] Of ten thousand dollars
[01:08:44] Okay what?
[01:08:46] Ha ha ha ha
[01:08:48] Yeah ten
[01:08:50] Thousand
[01:08:52] So where did it play?
[01:08:54] What are you talking about?
[01:08:56] It doesn't matter
[01:08:58] That's like a thousand people
[01:09:00] At a thousand dollars
[01:09:02] Ten dollars
[01:09:04] You did the math nice
[01:09:06] A thousand people saw it at ten bucks
[01:09:08] Or fifteen bucks
[01:09:10] A Wakefield project
[01:09:12] Yes
[01:09:15] It's directed by
[01:09:17] L.A. Lopez
[01:09:19] Who the hell is L.A. Lopez?
[01:09:21] You know what we're going to find out more
[01:09:23] Next week
[01:09:25] It has a ten thousand
[01:09:27] Worldwide gross buddy so it
[01:09:29] Did play somewhere
[01:09:31] And you are going to love it cause it's a horror movie
[01:09:33] You love horror movies
[01:09:35] Sorry it's a horror
[01:09:37] Sci-fi thriller
[01:09:39] I don't know what's going on right now
[01:09:41] I think you're skirting the
[01:09:43] Edges of what's allowed here
[01:09:47] Wouldn't that be nice?
