[00:00:33] Nice

[00:00:34] I like it

[00:00:35] I like it a lot

[00:00:36] So the introduction is out of the way

[00:00:56] If you cannot commit to a membership you can still buy us a movie rental and dare us to

[00:01:00] see a terrible film and we'll watch it if it played anywhere in the world

[00:01:06] Isn't a kids movie and it had to play in a cinema

[00:01:10] Now let's get to raging We've got lots and lots and lots to talk about

[00:01:22] What was the amazing moment predict?

[00:01:29] Will you predict the rage or will you predict the mono?

[00:01:35] Yes they tell us what you might rest up off the movies they saw in cinemas last week

[00:01:42] Swimmery, swimmery, swimmery Swimmery, swimmery, swimmery

[00:01:50] I don't get the swimmer reference

[00:01:52] He's a merman you kno-

[00:01:54] Yeah that wasn't my intention when I took the nickname but yeah but that's what's stuck now

[00:01:59] What are you talking about? You're the man!

[00:02:02] The Merman

[00:02:04] It's getting hot in here I'm gonna get naked

[00:02:07] Um, circus

[00:02:09] Yeah so you guys saw three movies

[00:02:12] We did

[00:02:13] Although not

[00:02:14] And one of them wasn't stink

[00:02:15] One of them wasn't stink cause I was ready for that one

[00:02:19] It's like I know what that one was

[00:02:22] Well I had to correct the mistake and couldn't let them go on

[00:02:27] Uh yeah so you guys saw Abigail which is you know Ballerina Vampire which I might have enjoyed

[00:02:34] You might have

[00:02:35] I do have my vampires

[00:02:36] You do and you like ballerinas it's like a match made in heaven

[00:02:39] I had no time

[00:02:41] Um, I just judging by what other people may have thought about it and just the trailer

[00:02:47] I think Bryce probably didn't like it too much

[00:02:50] Whoa

[00:02:51] Cause it's just another horror movie that probably fails to

[00:02:56] But it's not a PG or anything

[00:02:58] It's an 18A

[00:02:59] It's 18A it's R

[00:03:00] Doesn't mean it's any better

[00:03:01] Okay

[00:03:02] I think Bryce raged on that one

[00:03:04] Alright

[00:03:05] Uh, Jim cause he loves this horror might have found something redeemable maybe in math

[00:03:10] Okay

[00:03:12] Sasquatch Sunsets

[00:03:14] Yes

[00:03:15] Well Sharmal account is disgusting cause apparently people walk out of it

[00:03:20] What?

[00:03:21] What?

[00:03:22] Just based on that and how absolutely weird it is

[00:03:26] I think you guys both monde of that one

[00:03:28] What?

[00:03:29] Cause it's just right up your alley

[00:03:30] Are you saying we're weird?

[00:03:31] Um say you like the really bizarre weird shit

[00:03:34] I do like troll sex

[00:03:37] There you go, you like your troll sex

[00:03:39] I'm still traumatized by that

[00:03:40] We'll have to see if he also likes Sasquatch sex

[00:03:43] It's a little different

[00:03:44] It is?

[00:03:45] And then the last movie which was not staying

[00:03:49] Which I just watched like five minutes ago

[00:03:52] Yes

[00:03:53] You watched the whole movie five minutes ago

[00:03:54] I watched the trailer five minutes ago

[00:03:55] You watched the trailer so

[00:03:56] I didn't know what it was till five minutes ago

[00:03:58] Nice

[00:03:59] The trailer's good

[00:04:00] Arenas vow which apparently is about

[00:04:02] Germans

[00:04:03] Yeah

[00:04:04] And Nazis

[00:04:05] And Jews

[00:04:06] Oh my

[00:04:07] Some woman who's gonna take them all down

[00:04:09] Uh, sure

[00:04:10] Yeah

[00:04:11] That's what it seemed like

[00:04:12] Not exactly but

[00:04:13] She did her part

[00:04:14] No spoilers

[00:04:15] From all the superlatives in the trailer

[00:04:19] It sounds like an awesome movie

[00:04:22] Nice

[00:04:23] But

[00:04:24] What?

[00:04:25] Thank you guys and mad that one

[00:04:27] Double mafra

[00:04:28] Double mafra

[00:04:29] Interesting

[00:04:30] Alright

[00:04:34] Now we're going to something else

[00:04:36] Yeah

[00:04:37] We actually have spent since Thursday

[00:04:40] Sorry, it's the wrong one

[00:04:41] This is the one

[00:04:42] See, you switched

[00:04:44] Oh, there we go

[00:04:46] Now we got the music right

[00:04:47] Thank God

[00:04:48] You got the music right

[00:04:49] Now you can go

[00:04:50] Oh yeah

[00:04:51] This sounds way cuffed

[00:04:53] This is very cuffed

[00:04:54] So Calgary Underground Film

[00:04:57] Dot

[00:04:58] Org

[00:04:59] Calgary Underground Film dot org

[00:05:00] Check it out

[00:05:01] It's going on right now

[00:05:02] We are kind of midway through it

[00:05:04] It ends this Sunday

[00:05:06] If you're because today's Wednesday

[00:05:07] And we've been watching films

[00:05:09] Non-stop since last Thursday

[00:05:11] So we're going to break down our

[00:05:15] Mondos of the festival so far

[00:05:18] I'm not breaking them down per se

[00:05:20] Yeah, you're just going to tell them what they are

[00:05:21] Well, I've got things to say about them

[00:05:22] And then you can throw in two cents worth

[00:05:24] And Murray can say something

[00:05:26] And then blah-de-blah and something

[00:05:28] Is that how that works?

[00:05:29] Yeah, something like that

[00:05:30] But yeah, so

[00:05:31] I have to say before we start

[00:05:33] This has been a surprisingly amazing opening for cuff

[00:05:37] For me

[00:05:38] Yeah, no honestly

[00:05:39] When I looked at the line up of movies

[00:05:40] I was like, okay

[00:05:41] I mean these all look okay

[00:05:43] But I was like, we'll see

[00:05:45] And now I'm like, wow

[00:05:46] These are really, really, really good

[00:05:49] Yeah, this has probably been the best year

[00:05:51] They didn't know what they were doing

[00:05:52] For a long time at least

[00:05:54] And there's actually been

[00:05:55] Some movies that I consider

[00:05:57] Cuff movies in this as well

[00:05:59] Which sometimes you don't get a lot of

[00:06:01] But no, this year's been really good

[00:06:03] I hope that they start

[00:06:05] They kind of program the same way

[00:06:09] And the numbers are great

[00:06:11] So congrats to our friends at Cuff

[00:06:13] Indeed

[00:06:14] Which are, you know

[00:06:16] Murray and I are heavily involved in

[00:06:17] And Bryce likes to watch the movies

[00:06:19] So we're all good

[00:06:20] He just gives them money

[00:06:21] That's right, he just gives them money

[00:06:23] Which also helps

[00:06:24] And he usually forgets to buy the early pass

[00:06:26] So he ends up paying extra anyway

[00:06:28] So it's even better

[00:06:30] He's making all that horse racing money

[00:06:34] Yup, especially yesterday

[00:06:36] Rolling in the dough yesterday

[00:06:38] Long story short

[00:06:39] Had two horses going in the last leg

[00:06:41] Yes

[00:06:42] Could have been worth two grand

[00:06:44] My two horses literally just

[00:06:46] Beat the living crap out of each other

[00:06:48] Around the track

[00:06:49] They went head and head and just pounded each other

[00:06:50] Went way faster than they had to

[00:06:52] Just because the two drivers are idiots

[00:06:54] Like a stock car race

[00:06:56] They went way too quick to the half

[00:06:57] And they both just collapsed at the end

[00:06:59] All they had to do was just sit there nicely

[00:07:01] Till the half

[00:07:02] They would've ran one, two

[00:07:04] Instead they ran like five, six

[00:07:06] Nice

[00:07:07] It's just like a stock car race

[00:07:08] Two grand

[00:07:09] Where the two lead cars crashing to each other

[00:07:11] It was a two grand shit to bed

[00:07:13] Oh wow

[00:07:14] It happens

[00:07:15] Alright, well enough about horses

[00:07:17] Yeah

[00:07:18] What about

[00:07:19] Mondos for Kyle Grinnegram film test, Bryce?

[00:07:23] Yeah, I got quite a few

[00:07:26] One, two, three, four, five

[00:07:28] Seven Mondos already this

[00:07:30] I think you might even have more

[00:07:32] I have eight

[00:07:33] You have eight

[00:07:34] I have eight

[00:07:35] But I think a lot of ours are going to be the same Mondos

[00:07:37] So maybe when you talk about it

[00:07:39] I'll just add my two cents

[00:07:41] Yeah, because I'm gonna say

[00:07:42] I'm gonna predict that you thought that

[00:07:44] Their opening gala

[00:07:45] I saw the TV glow was Mondo

[00:07:47] I also thought it was Mondo

[00:07:49] Yeah, I was predicting that you would say that

[00:07:51] Yeah, because we already talked about it

[00:07:53] Oh did we?

[00:07:54] We've pretty much been talking

[00:07:56] Well Jim, I also thought it was Mondo

[00:07:59] Yes

[00:08:00] And it's coming out, I think

[00:08:02] In cinemas

[00:08:03] So for those of you who

[00:08:05] Have not seen it yet

[00:08:07] Well, do you want me to say

[00:08:09] What I thought about it?

[00:08:11] Other than Mondo?

[00:08:12] Yeah, just Mondos will do it though

[00:08:14] Yeah, so Justice Smith

[00:08:16] At his most depressing and awkward

[00:08:18] Two awkward teens

[00:08:20] Banned together

[00:08:22] Over an awful teenage girl TV show

[00:08:24] Which turns out to be their real life

[00:08:27] Or is it?

[00:08:28] Where the real world

[00:08:30] Can kind of destroy your soul

[00:08:34] Or life

[00:08:36] And having someone to trust

[00:08:38] And go through with you

[00:08:39] Can in fact be magical

[00:08:41] The music was amazing

[00:08:42] The story was unreal

[00:08:45] And you don't know what is gonna happen

[00:08:47] All the way through it

[00:08:48] It's depressing and it's beautiful

[00:08:50] And it's Mondo, the ending was perfect

[00:08:52] Everyone should see this movie

[00:08:53] Yep

[00:08:54] Where did you get to see it?

[00:08:57] Did you get to glow in the glow of the movie?

[00:08:59] I didn't glow enough

[00:09:00] And I just made sure it went on the screen

[00:09:01] There you go

[00:09:02] Pretty much my whole job

[00:09:04] Alright, well

[00:09:05] Let me guess that

[00:09:07] You also thought this one was Mondo

[00:09:09] And it's called The Last Stop in Yuma County

[00:09:12] You're correct sir

[00:09:13] I also thought that it was Mondo

[00:09:14] Yeah, I did

[00:09:15] I thought that was Mondo

[00:09:16] Why does that surprise you, Marine?

[00:09:18] It does surprise me

[00:09:19] Because it's just a sure amount of violence in it

[00:09:21] You like violence?

[00:09:22] I don't

[00:09:23] What do you think I...

[00:09:25] I like...

[00:09:26] Here's what I like, Marine

[00:09:28] You're not exactly a fan of the action movies

[00:09:29] It's great this way

[00:09:30] It doesn't matter if it's action

[00:09:32] Or violent

[00:09:33] Or CGI fest

[00:09:35] Or horror

[00:09:37] Or drama

[00:09:39] Or a period piece

[00:09:40] You know, none of it matters

[00:09:42] If it's a good movie, Murray

[00:09:44] I don't have any biases going in

[00:09:45] I don't have movies like this genre

[00:09:48] I do not like

[00:09:50] I don't have that

[00:09:51] I think you do

[00:09:52] Jim has that even

[00:09:53] He hates musicals

[00:09:54] I go into a musical open-minded

[00:09:56] Yeah, I usually go into them really

[00:09:58] And I also don't like rom-coms just f-w-w

[00:10:00] I go into every single screen

[00:10:02] And completely open-minded

[00:10:03] And I know that shocks you, Murray

[00:10:05] For some reason

[00:10:06] But at any rate

[00:10:08] The Last Stop in Yuma County

[00:10:09] Was a very well constructed

[00:10:11] I don't know that I'd call it an action movie

[00:10:13] I guess it was

[00:10:15] Let me tell you what I called it

[00:10:16] The amazing

[00:10:18] Period piece pot boiling type film

[00:10:20] With an amazing cast

[00:10:22] Of well-developed characters

[00:10:24] Where we have bank robbers

[00:10:26] End up in a diner

[00:10:28] With a bunch of amazing characters

[00:10:30] As the humor story and film

[00:10:32] Builds to an amazing level of fun

[00:10:34] And suspense

[00:10:35] Unseen in most films of this type

[00:10:38] Think like the scene from the diner

[00:10:40] In Pulp Fiction

[00:10:42] But as a hilariously black comedy

[00:10:45] And spoiler

[00:10:46] Everyone dies except for one

[00:10:48] But go see it in cinemas

[00:10:49] And find out who

[00:10:52] This film is so modern

[00:10:54] And those of you in the area

[00:10:55] It plays again tomorrow

[00:10:57] Oh, there you go

[00:10:58] So, yeah

[00:10:59] If you're listening to us

[00:11:00] Go see it at Cuff

[00:11:01] Yeah, I think so

[00:11:02] Like four or four thirds

[00:11:03] Yeah, it's an early release

[00:11:04] And I think this one will probably

[00:11:05] Get a major release

[00:11:06] Because

[00:11:07] Maybe

[00:11:08] You don't think so?

[00:11:09] Maybe, I don't know

[00:11:11] I hope it does

[00:11:12] It's pretty strong

[00:11:13] It is strong

[00:11:14] But

[00:11:15] You know

[00:11:17] Times we're living in

[00:11:18] Did you see this one, Murray?

[00:11:19] I did

[00:11:20] Alright

[00:11:21] I said it beside you

[00:11:22] It was Mondo, right?

[00:11:23] Yes

[00:11:24] And I also likened it to

[00:11:26] Bad times at El Royale

[00:11:28] It had

[00:11:29] Had that kind of a feel to it

[00:11:30] And then it kind of

[00:11:31] Morped into this Tarantino thing

[00:11:33] Where like you said

[00:11:34] Pretty much everybody dies

[00:11:35] Yup

[00:11:36] But yeah, it's like a bunch of people

[00:11:38] So if Bad Times at El Royale

[00:11:39] Was a good movie

[00:11:41] It would be like

[00:11:43] El Royale was a good movie

[00:11:44] No

[00:11:45] It was an awesome movie

[00:11:46] It was also Mondo

[00:11:47] Exactly

[00:11:48] Gracious

[00:11:49] And then it was like

[00:11:50] A bunch of random people

[00:11:51] All stuck in one location

[00:11:52] And then she gets

[00:11:53] And if the writing

[00:11:54] And the

[00:11:55] Energy of the film is great

[00:11:57] Then it's a Mondo

[00:11:58] So it works

[00:11:59] Humane

[00:12:01] Picture that's on your list

[00:12:03] Humane

[00:12:04] Baby, baby

[00:12:05] Humane is Mondo

[00:12:06] Yeah, I also thought it was Mondo

[00:12:08] Did you get to see it, Murray?

[00:12:09] I'll sit beside you again

[00:12:10] I can't remember these things

[00:12:11] We saw a lot of movies, Murray

[00:12:13] Sometimes you were there

[00:12:15] Those are the only two

[00:12:16] That I got to watch

[00:12:19] I can't remember these things

[00:12:21] And as someone who doesn't

[00:12:23] Like Cronenberg's as much

[00:12:25] As you guys do

[00:12:26] Well, this is

[00:12:27] This is

[00:12:28] It's still a Cronenberg

[00:12:29] But it wasn't a Cronenberg type

[00:12:31] Film

[00:12:32] Because it wasn't as confusing

[00:12:34] As other ones are for me

[00:12:36] It was pretty straightforward

[00:12:37] And yeah, it was batshit crazy

[00:12:39] And it had an awesome cast in it

[00:12:41] Awesome Canadian cast

[00:12:43] Of course that was a Mondo too

[00:12:44] I loved that

[00:12:45] Nice

[00:12:46] The family that slays together

[00:12:49] Stays together

[00:12:50] Sure

[00:12:51] That's the Firefly family

[00:12:53] From the Devil's Rejects

[00:12:55] Yeah, also

[00:12:56] Also this one

[00:12:57] Directorial debut of

[00:13:01] Directorial royalty

[00:13:04] Indoctrinates the princess of the monarchy

[00:13:07] With Caitlyn Cronenberg

[00:13:08] Into the body horror genre

[00:13:11] Well, it's kind of more of like a comedy body horror

[00:13:14] Yeah, it was a comedy

[00:13:15] There was still some

[00:13:16] There was still some Cronen...

[00:13:17] There was some Cronbone body armor

[00:13:19] There's a little bit of body armor

[00:13:20] There was some Cronbone in it

[00:13:22] She didn't get her name

[00:13:23] Just from being born

[00:13:24] Oh wait, she did

[00:13:25] She learned some stuff

[00:13:26] Yeah, she learned some stuff

[00:13:27] From hanging around with her family

[00:13:29] 20% of the world has to die

[00:13:32] To save the planet

[00:13:33] So the cast

[00:13:35] In fact, some great Canadian cast

[00:13:37] We get great Canadian acting royalty

[00:13:40] For this terrible group of people

[00:13:43] Who bond together over

[00:13:45] Their dad choosing to die

[00:13:48] But then their stepmom changes their mind

[00:13:50] And all hell breaks loose

[00:13:53] Yeah

[00:13:54] This was so much fun

[00:13:56] I know he's Canadian, but

[00:13:58] Enrique

[00:14:00] I loved him forever

[00:14:02] He was great

[00:14:03] Maybe I remember the galaxy quest

[00:14:05] He was the best part of that

[00:14:07] There was a best part of galaxy quest?

[00:14:10] Yeah, all of it

[00:14:11] You just shut your cake hole

[00:14:13] You're pissing me off this morning

[00:14:16] I love it

[00:14:17] Yeah, no, he's awesome

[00:14:18] And just out

[00:14:20] Dark and twisted he became

[00:14:22] He's doing his job

[00:14:23] But no, he's not

[00:14:25] Yeah, he was

[00:14:26] He was doing with a little too much pleasure

[00:14:28] He was enjoying it a little too much

[00:14:30] He was enjoying murdering people

[00:14:32] If you can't enjoy your job

[00:14:33] Go do something else

[00:14:34] I think what he actually said

[00:14:36] In the movie too was

[00:14:37] He said

[00:14:38] Well, can I also

[00:14:39] Can it be both?

[00:14:40] Yeah, why can't it be both?

[00:14:41] Can I also enjoy murdering people?

[00:14:46] Nice

[00:14:47] Yeah, that one was awesome

[00:14:48] I'm sure that one will get a re-

[00:14:49] Oh yeah, that's gonna get picked up

[00:14:51] In Canada for sure

[00:14:52] Oh, it's already got release date

[00:14:54] It's coming out in weeks

[00:14:56] Maybe this week

[00:14:57] Okay, well here's one

[00:14:58] I don't think is gonna get a Canadian release date

[00:15:00] Or at least not in mainstream cinemas

[00:15:03] But I know for a fact

[00:15:05] That both Bryce and I thought this was a mondo

[00:15:07] It's rats!

[00:15:08] Exclamation point

[00:15:09] It's not just rats

[00:15:11] It's Rast exclamation point

[00:15:13] Yeah, no, this is crazy

[00:15:14] This was just

[00:15:15] This was so much fun from beginning to start

[00:15:18] And the lady that played the cop

[00:15:22] My god, that was a performance

[00:15:24] Yeah, it was a performance of all performance

[00:15:27] I was promised

[00:15:28] I was gonna be offended though

[00:15:30] Which to that I always say

[00:15:32] I dare you to offend me

[00:15:34] Just someone please offend me

[00:15:37] I have yet to be offended in a movie

[00:15:39] I don't remember saying that

[00:15:41] No, no, they did

[00:15:42] The director

[00:15:43] The director said that?

[00:15:44] Yeah, the director and the lead actress

[00:15:45] Said before the movie

[00:15:46] Maybe there

[00:15:47] If you're easily offended

[00:15:50] You should probably leave the movie

[00:15:52] Maybe there are little things

[00:15:53] Yeah, but I didn't find anything offensive

[00:15:56] No, I just felt very entertaining

[00:15:58] Everything awesome

[00:15:59] I was smiling a lot

[00:16:02] This film is a lot of fun

[00:16:04] There are a lot of murder, mayhem, blood, drugs

[00:16:07] And well worth getting

[00:16:09] That are well worth getting your Hans on

[00:16:12] Hans

[00:16:13] If you can find them

[00:16:14] And why they did that through the entire movie

[00:16:16] Everybody from this community calls Hans

[00:16:20] Hans

[00:16:21] That's how you say it

[00:16:23] Every time they say it

[00:16:24] That's how you say it

[00:16:25] Hans

[00:16:26] They found seven Hans

[00:16:27] Which means at least four people were murdered

[00:16:34] Yeah, this one started out a bit slow

[00:16:37] But soon as we got the poop shot

[00:16:39] I think that's when things really

[00:16:42] They had like a below camera

[00:16:45] Did you see the poop shot?

[00:16:46] They had a below angle shot

[00:16:48] Because the lady who's the insane cop

[00:16:51] Goes in and takes the top

[00:16:52] Were there any rats in this movie?

[00:16:53] Yeah, yeah, they were rats

[00:16:54] Rating people out all the time

[00:16:56] It sounds like it's an ironic title

[00:16:58] No, no, there's rats

[00:16:59] There's a rat

[00:17:00] Well, there's actually a few rats

[00:17:02] There's a few rats

[00:17:03] We're talking human rats

[00:17:05] But also the movie's about human rats

[00:17:08] But there was also rats

[00:17:09] I think maybe as a metaphor

[00:17:13] Yeah, this is fun

[00:17:16] Rafi who's our hero I guess

[00:17:19] Anti-hero, maybe a antagonist

[00:17:22] Goes to jail for tagging

[00:17:24] A phone booth

[00:17:25] And then so much shit happens in this movie

[00:17:27] Like you can't even explain

[00:17:28] What happens in this movie

[00:17:30] It's just everything is insane

[00:17:32] This cop that has it out for Rafi

[00:17:34] Is just on top of him the whole movie

[00:17:37] Some day when this becomes available

[00:17:39] On streaming or whatever

[00:17:40] I think I'm going to do a greasy

[00:17:42] Strangler rats double feature

[00:17:44] Yeah, that would be a good yes

[00:17:45] So for people, if you like greasy

[00:17:47] Strangler, you will love rats

[00:17:50] Yes

[00:17:52] Alright

[00:17:55] What was your next one?

[00:17:56] Robust roll

[00:17:57] Hey, I also had that as well

[00:17:59] A Jeffrey Lewis documentary was

[00:18:01] Mondo

[00:18:02] And a tight 74 minutes

[00:18:04] Which goes to show you

[00:18:06] Almost the perfect time

[00:18:08] But yeah, no

[00:18:10] It's Jeffrey Lewis

[00:18:11] He's a songwriter

[00:18:15] He's a comic book writer

[00:18:18] There's a lot of parallels

[00:18:20] To draw between him and Daniel Johnston

[00:18:22] And it's funny as I'm watching

[00:18:23] It's all of a sudden one of his heroes

[00:18:25] Is Daniel Johnston

[00:18:26] What a surprise

[00:18:27] What a surprise

[00:18:28] But yeah, really interesting guy

[00:18:30] Very minimalist music

[00:18:32] But the lyrics are amazing

[00:18:34] And you should, you know

[00:18:36] Maybe check out his music too

[00:18:38] You probably will after watching this movie

[00:18:40] Yeah, me and Bryce were listening to it

[00:18:42] It was Mondo

[00:18:44] There's a quote in this movie

[00:18:46] That I think kind of sums up a little bit

[00:18:48] There is nothing here

[00:18:49] But what I think and feel

[00:18:54] That's it

[00:18:55] His emphasis on

[00:18:57] Things that are

[00:18:59] Important and not important

[00:19:01] Really resonated with me

[00:19:03] I think, you know

[00:19:04] What his beliefs are

[00:19:05] I think what drove you to like this movie so much

[00:19:08] And he's just so fucking likeable

[00:19:11] Like

[00:19:13] Yeah, it's just

[00:19:14] This film really touched me

[00:19:15] I was

[00:19:16] He, I liked it

[00:19:17] As I was watching it

[00:19:18] One thing ran through my head

[00:19:20] This is the most sane, insane person

[00:19:23] I've ever seen

[00:19:24] Yes

[00:19:25] Cause he's insane

[00:19:26] There's no question

[00:19:27] He's also so sane

[00:19:29] Yeah, like he also

[00:19:30] He's been able to manage his insanity

[00:19:33] Really well

[00:19:34] Yeah

[00:19:35] As I say

[00:19:36] That's what kept on me

[00:19:37] It's the most sane and sane

[00:19:38] That's what I kept on thinking as I was watching

[00:19:40] This is the most sane and sane person I've ever seen

[00:19:42] Well, yeah

[00:19:43] And then like he's so

[00:19:44] His art

[00:19:46] All of his art

[00:19:47] Like he's just so creative

[00:19:49] And he has this mind

[00:19:50] Like Marie, he had this

[00:19:52] He also commented about the fact

[00:19:54] That he has more money than he knows what to do with

[00:19:57] He's never, he's now in a place where

[00:19:59] He doesn't even think about money

[00:20:01] He just wants a piece of pizza

[00:20:03] He buys a piece of pizza

[00:20:04] Yeah

[00:20:05] And then he lives

[00:20:06] He kind of lives

[00:20:07] But then on top of that

[00:20:09] Exactly

[00:20:10] It's like when he tours

[00:20:11] He's never paid for a hotel

[00:20:12] No

[00:20:13] From his very first tour

[00:20:14] He said there's no way

[00:20:15] I'm wasting my money

[00:20:16] Because he was the first tour he ever went on

[00:20:18] He went to Europe

[00:20:19] And the promoters basically said

[00:20:22] Yeah, you make nothing on this movie

[00:20:24] Because we have to pay for your hotel

[00:20:25] We have to pay for this

[00:20:26] We have to pay for that

[00:20:27] And the whole band is going like

[00:20:28] What?

[00:20:29] We're gonna go on tour for two months

[00:20:31] And then we're not gonna get paid

[00:20:32] And he's like

[00:20:33] Okay, that's it

[00:20:34] We're not

[00:20:35] So every single place he goes to

[00:20:37] He either sleeps

[00:20:39] At the place that he's performing

[00:20:41] Somebody who's there

[00:20:42] He posts a post on social media now

[00:20:44] That's saying

[00:20:45] Hey, I'm in town

[00:20:46] Can I crash at your place?

[00:20:47] That's just

[00:20:48] Like he said

[00:20:49] And he's like

[00:20:50] You know

[00:20:51] Sometime

[00:20:52] Most of the time it's fantastic

[00:20:54] Every once in a while

[00:20:55] Things don't work out so great

[00:20:57] He didn't tell

[00:20:58] He didn't expand on what that looked like

[00:21:00] But

[00:21:01] I mean this guy is so lovable

[00:21:03] And everything he

[00:21:04] He thought and felt

[00:21:05] I kind of feel the same way

[00:21:07] And I've never heard of him

[00:21:09] Yeah, I hadn't actually heard of him

[00:21:11] Before he was on there

[00:21:12] Only Jeff Lewis I know

[00:21:13] Is an actor who was on the Cosby show

[00:21:16] It's not him

[00:21:17] I don't think it's the same guy

[00:21:18] It's not him by the way

[00:21:19] And it's not him

[00:21:20] It's definitely not him

[00:21:21] Yeah

[00:21:22] Alright, so there's two more Mondos

[00:21:24] I think I know which one we are not

[00:21:27] Well, I already know the movie that we're not

[00:21:29] Going to be both Mondo on

[00:21:31] Yes

[00:21:32] So, Cryptic

[00:21:33] I believe we are both Mondo on

[00:21:35] Nope

[00:21:36] That's the one

[00:21:37] Holy crap

[00:21:38] Oh wait

[00:21:39] Because there was a movie that you got to see

[00:21:40] All the way through that I didn't

[00:21:41] So I may be in for surprise

[00:21:42] So, Cryptic

[00:21:44] This is one of those films

[00:21:46] That you have to stick with

[00:21:48] Because it gets so much better as it progresses

[00:21:51] It seems on the surface that the story is very linear

[00:21:54] And basic

[00:21:55] Oh sorry, yeah

[00:21:56] I'm Mondo cryptic

[00:21:57] Okay

[00:21:58] Are you gonna wake right now?

[00:22:00] I have eight Mondos

[00:22:01] Did he hit his head when he fell?

[00:22:03] I think he might have hit himself

[00:22:04] If you're doing these in order

[00:22:05] You did skip one of my Mondos

[00:22:07] There we go

[00:22:08] Maybe it wasn't one of my Mondos

[00:22:09] That's probably why

[00:22:10] Anyways, yes, Cryptic was Mondo

[00:22:11] Okay, good

[00:22:15] There was a lot of movies

[00:22:16] Man, you're talking

[00:22:17] And this is a lot of Mondos actually

[00:22:19] And yet talking to some of our other Cuff members

[00:22:22] Members in the audience

[00:22:23] They did not agree with you

[00:22:24] About Cryptic?

[00:22:25] Yeah

[00:22:26] Oh well, that's their problem

[00:22:27] They did not like it

[00:22:28] How could they not like it?

[00:22:29] Yeah

[00:22:30] It was amazing

[00:22:31] Okay, so on the surface

[00:22:33] It does feel like it's a very linear and basic story

[00:22:36] But as we get midway through it

[00:22:38] It's ooey-gooey goodness

[00:22:40] The gooeyness is so good

[00:22:41] And has a perfect ending with perfect music

[00:22:44] There's so much goo

[00:22:45] And it takes you on a ride

[00:22:46] You see there's a lot of goomer

[00:22:48] There's mood, there's so much gas

[00:22:50] So you know the funniest thing is

[00:22:51] I had a chance to talk to the director a little bit

[00:22:53] When we went out to get

[00:22:54] She went to go get a vegan hot dog

[00:22:56] And I went to go out and get an ice cream

[00:22:58] And um

[00:22:59] I forgot completely about her

[00:23:02] That it's Courtney Roy

[00:23:04] Right?

[00:23:05] From, that was the director?

[00:23:06] Yeah, I think so

[00:23:07] Do I remember her name correctly?

[00:23:08] Oh man, now she's gonna be mad at me

[00:23:10] Cause she'd be like, Jim

[00:23:12] You forgot my name?

[00:23:14] I'm sure she's not watching

[00:23:15] Sure she's

[00:23:16] And she's definitely not listening to

[00:23:18] To our podcast

[00:23:19] She's still in bed

[00:23:20] Yes, Courtney Roy

[00:23:21] Who's also an amazing photographer by the way

[00:23:23] We saw her documentary a few years ago

[00:23:26] And so I said

[00:23:27] Oh man, you're that Courtney Roy

[00:23:29] The amazing photographer she says

[00:23:31] That's me

[00:23:33] But

[00:23:34] Like I asked her

[00:23:35] Have you seen society?

[00:23:37] Because there's a lot of good ooey-gooey scenes in this

[00:23:40] And I'm like

[00:23:41] She must have been influenced by society

[00:23:42] And she says, you know what

[00:23:43] You're not the first person that said that

[00:23:45] So for those of you who have seen society

[00:23:48] The scene that is the ooey-gooey goodness from society

[00:23:51] There's a lot of that in this movie

[00:23:54] But it's not obviously influenced by society

[00:23:56] So even better

[00:23:58] What else you got to say about it?

[00:24:00] I liked it

[00:24:01] Yeah, didn't you think the ending was perfect?

[00:24:03] The ending was perfect

[00:24:04] Yeah, it's not very often we say that

[00:24:06] No, it was, yeah

[00:24:08] This movie was pretty amazing

[00:24:10] It's one of those movies where you're watching it

[00:24:12] And you don't really know what the bleep's going on

[00:24:14] Like you really don't

[00:24:15] No

[00:24:16] It's not a...

[00:24:17] You say it starts as kind of a linear story

[00:24:19] Then it just goes kind of bonkers

[00:24:21] Yeah

[00:24:22] And then it just comes back together at the end

[00:24:25] But yeah, it's...

[00:24:26] So the...

[00:24:28] Oppression that I got

[00:24:29] Watching it

[00:24:30] Yes

[00:24:31] Is that she was the cryptic

[00:24:33] Obviously

[00:24:34] And then

[00:24:35] But she didn't know

[00:24:36] Like she comes back

[00:24:37] She doesn't know who she is

[00:24:39] So she's this missing person that's been missing for so many years

[00:24:42] And every person that she comes into contact

[00:24:44] The characters that she bumps into

[00:24:48] Are all a whack-a-doo

[00:24:50] And it's just a fun ride

[00:24:52] This is a great movie

[00:24:53] And it's got lots of goo

[00:24:54] Alright

[00:24:55] Alright, so what's the one that you thought was Mondo

[00:24:57] That I didn't?

[00:24:58] Well, I thought you thought it was Mondo

[00:25:01] But maybe you didn't

[00:25:02] Because you skipped over it in a violent nature

[00:25:04] Oh, I totally forgot about putting it on

[00:25:06] Oh yeah, 100% it's Mondo

[00:25:08] So now I have more

[00:25:10] This is the slasher movie we've been waiting for

[00:25:12] Forever

[00:25:13] And the fact of the matter is that

[00:25:15] It takes the slasher genre

[00:25:17] And absolutely rips off

[00:25:19] It rips off

[00:25:20] Everybody

[00:25:21] Yeah, Jason

[00:25:22] Michael Myers

[00:25:23] Rips off Michael Myers

[00:25:24] It rips off Friday the 13th

[00:25:26] It rips off my bloody Valentine

[00:25:29] Yes, go totally

[00:25:30] It rips off so many movies

[00:25:33] But it's still its own thing

[00:25:35] And it has a series of kill scenes

[00:25:38] And they're all completely different

[00:25:40] And unique

[00:25:41] Like completely different

[00:25:43] And creative

[00:25:44] And just, I mean

[00:25:46] The yoga kill scene is amazing

[00:25:48] The wood splitter kill scene is amazing

[00:25:51] The chopping scene is amazing

[00:25:53] That was my favorite chopping scene

[00:25:55] It's just such a well-paced

[00:25:58] Jam of a movie

[00:26:00] I just, I hope that this gets seen

[00:26:03] And I hope that this is the return of the slasher

[00:26:06] Because this was slasher done right

[00:26:08] Which we haven't had in a long time

[00:26:10] And there was no tongue-in-cheek

[00:26:13] There was no trying to make you laugh

[00:26:17] Even though some of the situations are uncomfortable

[00:26:20] And you're gonna laugh

[00:26:22] Like how can you not laugh

[00:26:23] When someone's head gets pulled through their back

[00:26:26] Out their stomach

[00:26:27] But the same thing

[00:26:29] It is so well done

[00:26:32] Special effects are great

[00:26:34] And the ending

[00:26:36] It's got an ending that

[00:26:38] You're thinking, okay this is very

[00:26:41] Texas Chainsaw Massacre ending

[00:26:43] And it's like, don't stop

[00:26:45] And it's almost

[00:26:47] I don't want to give away too much but

[00:26:49] It's a better ending than you think?

[00:26:51] It's a better ending than you could possibly imagine

[00:26:54] Because you're like, I was almost hoping

[00:26:56] I was, I won't say anything

[00:26:58] No, don't, because I know what you're gonna say

[00:27:00] It's also got a perfect ending

[00:27:02] This was made by people

[00:27:05] Who love the genre

[00:27:07] And it pays homage to the slasher genre

[00:27:10] But at the same time it's also poking fun at it

[00:27:13] They actually even talked

[00:27:15] Because there was a discussion after the film

[00:27:18] And they basically were talking about the fact that

[00:27:21] Yeah, like there's a scene

[00:27:23] The woodcutter scene

[00:27:25] Which is like this giant saw thing

[00:27:28] And goes down and cuts people in half

[00:27:30] And they're like, we really wanted to have it

[00:27:32] We really want to have it

[00:27:34] So that we can have him cut every one of his limbs off

[00:27:37] But they ran at him because the guy's like

[00:27:39] Yeah, I would've wanted to show that for 20 minutes

[00:27:41] And me and Bryce are like, that's what we wanted to see

[00:27:43] We wanted to see that for 20 minutes

[00:27:45] I would've rather seen that

[00:27:47] Than a 20 minutes of all those idiots sitting around the fire

[00:27:51] Seriously, after 5 minutes

[00:27:53] I wanted to kill the long one

[00:27:55] You know what, it was necessary to set up the rest of it

[00:27:57] It was long, honestly

[00:27:58] Hey, you know what, maybe you're right

[00:28:00] Maybe it didn't need to be that long

[00:28:03] But it would still be a minor quip in a movie

[00:28:07] That was a bit of a masterpiece

[00:28:09] Yeah, I would say as far as slasher films go

[00:28:12] It's definitely a masterpiece

[00:28:13] I didn't stick around for the end

[00:28:14] But yeah, you know how much I love my slasher films

[00:28:16] Oh wait, I don't

[00:28:18] That's right

[00:28:19] And the whole time I'm watching it

[00:28:21] I'm like, kids around a campfire in the woods

[00:28:23] Yes

[00:28:24] It's Friday the 13th

[00:28:25] I've seen this shit

[00:28:26] Yes

[00:28:27] Except for they didn't really sit around the fire a lot

[00:28:30] Well, no, it was a long ass scene

[00:28:32] Not 20 minutes anyway

[00:28:33] It was a long scene

[00:28:34] And I was getting annoyed by every second of it

[00:28:36] But didn't you like it when they started getting murdered?

[00:28:38] Yeah, but it wasn't happening fast enough

[00:28:41] Oh, it was so

[00:28:43] And oh my god, the slow walking

[00:28:45] The walking was wonderful

[00:28:47] You're following Lurch around the forest

[00:28:49] As he slowly kills people

[00:28:51] Whatever

[00:28:52] Oh my god

[00:28:53] So good

[00:28:54] I'm glad you guys liked it

[00:28:55] It definitely wasn't my kind of

[00:28:56] I had to go to another movie anyway

[00:28:57] Yeah, it was over

[00:28:58] Well, so you can't fully review it

[00:29:00] No

[00:29:01] Because he didn't see it

[00:29:02] I don't think I would have liked it

[00:29:03] I mean, maybe whatever this ending you're talking about

[00:29:05] Maybe we redeemed it a bit

[00:29:06] But no, I didn't love it as much as you guys did

[00:29:09] But that's your thing

[00:29:10] Then go for it

[00:29:12] Okay, so this is a film that I know we both agreed on

[00:29:15] Because I was lucky enough to preview this

[00:29:18] Before the festival

[00:29:19] And I am so glad they programmed this

[00:29:22] That's a movie of the festival

[00:29:24] A Goor or Omen

[00:29:26] Yeah

[00:29:27] Which is a Belgium Congolese film

[00:29:29] This film is brilliant

[00:29:31] Rich with cultural impacts and lessons from our past

[00:29:35] It has so many layers of complexity

[00:29:38] And family dynamics

[00:29:40] And has you challenging the beliefs

[00:29:43] Of what is owed to your past, present

[00:29:46] And future generations

[00:29:48] This movie is so beautifully done

[00:29:51] Yeah

[00:29:52] And it's...

[00:29:55] I can't stop thinking about it

[00:29:57] Like this movie will you continue to think about

[00:30:00] Because it really does bring in a lot about

[00:30:03] What we owe to our culture

[00:30:06] And what we consider what is our culture

[00:30:09] And how it affects us and those around us

[00:30:12] I just...

[00:30:13] Yeah, this is brilliant

[00:30:15] What did you think about it?

[00:30:16] Ditto

[00:30:17] Exactly

[00:30:19] Nothing else Moria want to say about it?

[00:30:21] Now Omen is amazing

[00:30:23] It's the best film of the festival

[00:30:25] If there's gonna be...

[00:30:27] There's more festival to go

[00:30:29] And if there's one that tops us

[00:30:31] I mean bring it on, I'll be pleased

[00:30:33] But I can't imagine anything toping this

[00:30:35] This is one of the better movies I've seen

[00:30:37] Long, long time

[00:30:38] Yeah, and even Brendan when he introduced it

[00:30:40] He said something about this is the most

[00:30:42] Something...

[00:30:43] Film

[00:30:44] That we are playing today

[00:30:46] Like at the festival

[00:30:47] I don't know, I don't listen to what he talks

[00:30:50] Either the most professional or the most professional

[00:30:52] Even though he's screaming into the microphone

[00:30:55] I can't remember but he's very excited

[00:30:58] His wording of it was really well ahead of it

[00:31:02] Was it? I just...

[00:31:04] Okay, kudos to Brendan

[00:31:06] Yeah but you ignore everybody so

[00:31:08] Yeah, Brendan's not special

[00:31:10] You don't listen when anybody talks

[00:31:12] Half the time you can't hear them

[00:31:14] Did you say something?

[00:31:15] The other thing, Marie, is that he's also going deaf

[00:31:17] Caught in his own little world

[00:31:19] Not going deaf

[00:31:20] Sorry, he is deaf

[00:31:22] I am not deaf

[00:31:23] Sorry, he's hard of hearing

[00:31:24] And then for those of you who are deaf

[00:31:26] That are listening to us

[00:31:28] I'm actually doing the sign for hard of hearing

[00:31:30] Bryce is hard of hearing

[00:31:31] He's not deaf, he's hard of hearing

[00:31:34] So, yeah

[00:31:36] Okay so this is where I think we have a convergence

[00:31:38] Because that was all your Mondos, right?

[00:31:40] Yes

[00:31:41] Okay, so the last Mondo that I had

[00:31:43] That Bryce didn't have

[00:31:45] Yes

[00:31:46] Is the feeling that the time

[00:31:49] For doing something has passed

[00:31:51] Subversive sexy comedy

[00:31:53] Where a submissive lady

[00:31:56] Lives a life of casual sex

[00:31:58] Decides to take on a new relationship

[00:32:00] I was laughing so hard at this movie

[00:32:03] And there's parts in it where I just couldn't stop laughing

[00:32:06] It was good

[00:32:07] I could not

[00:32:08] But when I wasn't laughing

[00:32:11] There was a lot of scenes between the funny parts

[00:32:14] But it was just still I had a smile on my face

[00:32:17] So if a movie is going to have those moments

[00:32:20] Where I burst into so much laughter

[00:32:22] I can't control myself

[00:32:23] And then still have that smile on my face

[00:32:25] Through the entire movie

[00:32:27] That's a Mondo for me

[00:32:29] The movie itself, the way it's crafted

[00:32:31] I wouldn't say it's super fantastic

[00:32:33] Because it's almost like a clip show

[00:32:35] She had a clip show

[00:32:37] It's 87 minutes

[00:32:39] And there's 80 scenes in it

[00:32:41] But those scenes

[00:32:43] There is a time

[00:32:45] And sometimes the scene is like 15 seconds

[00:32:47] And sometimes the scene is 3 minutes

[00:32:49] And sometimes it's just

[00:32:51] A shot of them doing nothing

[00:32:53] Yeah, and I see to me

[00:32:55] To me those snippets

[00:32:57] Did tell an amazing story

[00:32:59] Absolutely

[00:33:01] And it was very, very good

[00:33:03] I gave it a 4 out of 5 on there

[00:33:05] And I really enjoyed it

[00:33:07] I could not give this anything less than a Mondo

[00:33:09] She is fucking hilarious

[00:33:11] Or dry deadpan humor

[00:33:13] And all of the men that she's sleeping with

[00:33:15] Were fantastic

[00:33:17] And I absolutely

[00:33:19] And I don't normally like

[00:33:21] Sexy comedies

[00:33:23] But this one was

[00:33:25] This one's brilliant

[00:33:27] I love this film

[00:33:29] Bring it on

[00:33:31] Sort of an anti-Romcom

[00:33:33] Yeah, oh totally it's anti-Romcom

[00:33:35] I mean it's

[00:33:37] We could talk for hours

[00:33:39] About the complexity of her character

[00:33:41] And the fact that

[00:33:43] She's pretty much the only one that's nude in the entire movie

[00:33:45] And she's naked pretty much the whole movie

[00:33:47] Yeah, she's naked pretty much the whole movie

[00:33:49] She's naked a lot

[00:33:51] Seven or eight times that I checked on her anyway

[00:33:53] And I'm like

[00:33:55] She's naked again, what the hell

[00:33:57] Hey, she's naked again

[00:33:59] There's one scene in particular

[00:34:01] That had me going

[00:34:03] And it was

[00:34:05] The scene when she was trying to get

[00:34:07] Her beans out of the package

[00:34:09] That I completely lost my shit

[00:34:11] Shit

[00:34:13] Then you get a little

[00:34:15] Almost a little

[00:34:17] Reprise of that

[00:34:19] We got her doing

[00:34:21] There was different beans

[00:34:23] They're a different color

[00:34:25] But they were still beans out of a package

[00:34:27] Yeah, it was good

[00:34:29] That's Cuff so far

[00:34:31] And people please

[00:34:33] Go on the website

[00:34:35] There's still lots of tickets available

[00:34:37] We're there the whole festival

[00:34:39] Except for one day or maybe two

[00:34:41] But yeah, you'll find us there

[00:34:43] We're gonna be there tonight

[00:34:45] And tomorrow night and a bunch of nights

[00:34:47] Five more days

[00:34:49] Nice

[00:34:53] Oh baby

[00:34:55] Was there anything you've got

[00:34:57] In your repertoire from being so busy this week

[00:34:59] To find a Merman minute?

[00:35:01] Oh no, we're still doing it

[00:35:03] Theaters

[00:35:05] You messed around with the stupid thing

[00:35:07] I just messed around with anything

[00:35:09] Does this sound like the Merman minute music?

[00:35:11] Apparently I'm also deaf

[00:35:13] Exactly

[00:35:15] We've done this in Dengon and Coffee

[00:35:17] Would have made sense

[00:35:19] You know what, I do these things

[00:35:21] To keep us all on our toes

[00:35:23] If I did everything the same

[00:35:25] It would just get mundane in here

[00:35:27] This is a new adventure every week

[00:35:29] Anyway, talk

[00:35:31] Our listeners are on it with us

[00:35:33] Time to pick up the pace

[00:35:35] So first we saw Abby Gale

[00:35:37] Nothing like a Ballerina vampire

[00:35:39] Pick up the pace

[00:35:41] Ballerina vampire killing people

[00:35:43] Abby Gale's a story of a ballerina vampire

[00:35:45] Who likes to play with their food

[00:35:47] It's torpedoed by its trailer

[00:35:49] That gives away way too much

[00:35:51] And it's unnecessary runtime

[00:35:53] That leaves you wondering will this film ever end

[00:35:55] And it is too bad

[00:35:57] As we finally get an 18a

[00:35:59] Or r-rated horror film

[00:36:01] Depending on where you reside

[00:36:03] Which means the violence and the gore

[00:36:05] Are turned up a notch from the PG horror

[00:36:07] We have had to endure for in recent years

[00:36:09] The set designs and special effects

[00:36:11] Both practical and CG are very good

[00:36:13] The actors are all good

[00:36:15] Yet I felt myself bored throughout

[00:36:17] Much of this

[00:36:19] Is it because this is the same old story

[00:36:21] Told 100 times before

[00:36:23] Is the trailer pretty much told the entire story

[00:36:25] Except the very predictable ending

[00:36:27] Is it because it's so predictable

[00:36:29] That this was so unsatisfying

[00:36:31] I think it was a combination of all those things

[00:36:33] I did not hate this

[00:36:35] But I sure think it could have been better

[00:36:37] Considering they were at least trying to do horror

[00:36:39] Right with the increased focus on the gore

[00:36:41] Abby Gale is mentioned

[00:36:43] As a story about a vampire

[00:36:45] Who likes to play with her food

[00:36:47] But it's just

[00:36:49] Kind of falls flat

[00:36:51] The concept is good

[00:36:53] But that movie

[00:36:55] Should have been so much better

[00:36:57] It should have been a half hour shorter

[00:36:59] This was still

[00:37:01] An exploding vampire's

[00:37:03] Yeah

[00:37:05] Everything he just said said it was a rage

[00:37:07] But there was a lot of good

[00:37:09] There was some good in it

[00:37:11] So okay, everybody who's listening

[00:37:13] Everybody that's listening

[00:37:15] Just stop what you're doing

[00:37:17] Put us on pause for a second

[00:37:19] And then go watch the trailer

[00:37:21] So that you're in the same mind space

[00:37:23] As both Bryce and I

[00:37:25] For this film

[00:37:27] We must have seen the trailer on this

[00:37:29] Probably six times

[00:37:31] Before we got to it

[00:37:33] Because we go to the cinemas every week

[00:37:35] And they've been starting to play this

[00:37:37] And

[00:37:39] So

[00:37:41] Valerina

[00:37:43] Valerina

[00:37:45] Vampire Valerina

[00:37:47] Yeah, Valerina, sure

[00:37:49] It's a new word

[00:37:51] Valerina's no surprise

[00:37:53] That's the story

[00:37:55] What you see in this trailer

[00:37:57] But way

[00:37:59] Longer

[00:38:01] Than it should have been

[00:38:03] As you've kind of already mentioned

[00:38:05] It's not original

[00:38:07] Although we did get Kevin Durand as Peter

[00:38:09] Where like most of the times

[00:38:11] Everything he does is awesome

[00:38:13] We get

[00:38:15] Great practical effects

[00:38:17] The gore was fun

[00:38:19] Especially the exploding vampires

[00:38:21] As Bryce has already hinted at

[00:38:23] Plural actually

[00:38:25] If you have seen the trailer

[00:38:27] You can predict pretty much everything that happens

[00:38:29] It has way too many

[00:38:31] Lord of the Rings type endings at the end

[00:38:33] Where it should have ended

[00:38:35] Like probably

[00:38:37] 20 minutes beforehand

[00:38:39] But it just keeps going and going

[00:38:41] And to be honest

[00:38:43] I got a little bored waiting for it to end

[00:38:45] I was just like

[00:38:47] Can this now end?

[00:38:49] The story was moving along too predictable

[00:38:51] But like most vampires

[00:38:53] It was okay

[00:38:55] It was okay-ish

[00:38:57] Or good-ish

[00:38:59] Just way too long

[00:39:01] There was nothing bad in it

[00:39:03] It was well acted

[00:39:05] It was just too long

[00:39:07] Well there's just a lot of boring between the scenes

[00:39:09] A lot of the dialogue was good

[00:39:11] It was just

[00:39:13] Long

[00:39:15] Unnecessarily long

[00:39:17] You know what it kind of felt like

[00:39:19] It was kind of like

[00:39:21] You were playing hide and go seek with a

[00:39:23] Valorina

[00:39:25] That's what it felt like

[00:39:27] Right? You know what I'm saying?

[00:39:29] For almost two hours

[00:39:31] She does but at the same time

[00:39:33] The people that are in this are all idiots

[00:39:35] It's every horror movie

[00:39:37] Yeah, but these were particularly stupid

[00:39:39] But

[00:39:41] They tried to throw the complexity in there

[00:39:43] One of them is in on it

[00:39:45] And then all these different things

[00:39:47] But it was basically just playing hide and seek with a vampire

[00:39:49] For two hours

[00:39:51] And

[00:39:53] How about

[00:39:55] Exploding vampires though?

[00:39:57] We've talked about it

[00:39:59] That was pretty good

[00:40:01] I still don't think it was an 18a

[00:40:03] I think this should have been 14a

[00:40:05] Probably

[00:40:07] But if you've looked at the PG

[00:40:09] And the 14a

[00:40:11] We don't get anything now

[00:40:13] The stuff that was in this

[00:40:15] Is so much more than what we've been getting

[00:40:17] Let's go back to

[00:40:19] When we were a lot younger

[00:40:21] And let's look at poltergeist

[00:40:23] There's scenes in poltergeist

[00:40:25] That wasn't bloody

[00:40:27] Was it? No, there's the scene

[00:40:29] In the bathroom scene

[00:40:31] When he pulls his face off

[00:40:33] That was just as graphic

[00:40:35] As anything in this movie

[00:40:37] And that was PG-13 back then

[00:40:39] Plus there's a bunch of other things

[00:40:41] Yeah, no, totally

[00:40:43] Totally

[00:40:45] There was nothing too extreme in this

[00:40:47] It wasn't extreme enough for you

[00:40:49] But it was still a lot more than what we've been getting

[00:40:51] True, but that's what I'm asking

[00:40:53] Is now the rating system

[00:40:55] The rating system has come down

[00:40:57] Every kill is offscreen

[00:40:59] And it still gets to 14a

[00:41:01] What the fuck is that?

[00:41:03] Am I

[00:41:05] Barking up the wrong tree here? What are you talking about?

[00:41:07] I disagree

[00:41:09] I think they up

[00:41:11] The violence

[00:41:13] In the gore

[00:41:15] I'm agreeing with you

[00:41:17] But when I guess what I'm talking about

[00:41:19] A bigger picture of it

[00:41:21] Look at some of the movies

[00:41:23] That we talked about with Coff

[00:41:25] There's a lot of ones in there

[00:41:27] That should be 18a

[00:41:29] If you compare this to in a violent nature

[00:41:31] Yeah, that's what I'm saying

[00:41:33] In a violent nature should be rated 18a

[00:41:35] In a violent nature even though some of it was cartoonish

[00:41:37] It felt more

[00:41:39] Real and it was more

[00:41:41] Disturbing than

[00:41:43] Anything in this which was

[00:41:45] Anything that happened was kind of cartoonish

[00:41:47] Even though it was

[00:41:49] Even though it was juicy

[00:41:51] Juicy

[00:41:53] Exploding juicy vampires

[00:41:55] Anyways, I was just happy to see

[00:41:57] You know

[00:41:59] A little bit of gore in my

[00:42:01] Because we've been getting none

[00:42:03] Yeah, none

[00:42:05] Yeah, it's true

[00:42:07] So, Murray, if you like hide and seek with

[00:42:09] Vampire Ballerinas

[00:42:11] Sounds like it was too long

[00:42:13] It was too long

[00:42:15] But you can fast-throw it through half of it

[00:42:17] Actually, you know what? Even better, watch the trailer

[00:42:19] You've seen the whole movie

[00:42:21] Except for the explosions

[00:42:23] Alright, well

[00:42:25] We both gave it a meh

[00:42:31] So much meh

[00:42:33] Alright

[00:42:35] Well, we also saw

[00:42:37] Sasquatch Sunset

[00:42:39] Sounds magical

[00:42:41] So ever since

[00:42:43] Ever since we first learned

[00:42:45] Of the Mighty Beast, the Sasquatch

[00:42:47] In the TV docuseries

[00:42:49] The $6 million man from the 70s

[00:42:51] I have always wondered

[00:42:53] When we would get a film

[00:42:55] About this elusive creature

[00:42:57] Finally

[00:42:59] Finally

[00:43:01] In this day and age

[00:43:03] Oh, he played the Sasquatch?

[00:43:05] The majors never played the Sasquatch

[00:43:07] It was a real Sasquatch

[00:43:09] We're having a private conversation here

[00:43:11] I said, was that Lucerigno?

[00:43:13] Lucerigno played the Sasquatch

[00:43:15] In $6 million man

[00:43:17] You know what? We can look that up later

[00:43:19] Actually, well, I'm talking

[00:43:21] You thought you were saying Lucerigno was the $6 million man

[00:43:23] I know who that is, it's the Fall Guy

[00:43:29] What are you talking about?

[00:43:31] Sorry, Jim, were you saying something?

[00:43:33] Yeah, so while I'm talking

[00:43:35] You two focus on finding out who played the Sasquatch

[00:43:37] Unless it was the real Sasquatch

[00:43:39] You know what, now I'm going to look it up

[00:43:41] There you go

[00:43:43] So finally in this day and age

[00:43:45] Of discovery and renewed focus

[00:43:47] On our marshlands

[00:43:49] On the importance of our green spaces

[00:43:51] We get to meet this family of Sasquatch

[00:43:53] In their natural habitat

[00:43:57] The family is made up of a female

[00:43:59] Played by Riley Kanaugh

[00:44:03] A mature...

[00:44:05] A mature male

[00:44:07] Played by

[00:44:09] The co-director

[00:44:11] An actor named Nathan Zellner

[00:44:13] A young adult male played by Jesse Eisenberg

[00:44:15] And what appears to be a child

[00:44:17] Played by the adult actor

[00:44:19] Christoph Zajac Deneck

[00:44:25] So he did a good job

[00:44:27] Playing a baby Sasquatch

[00:44:29] Our creatures appear

[00:44:31] To be closer to chimpanzees

[00:44:33] Than humans with their levels of sex drive

[00:44:35] In

[00:44:37] The patriarch's case

[00:44:39] You learn quite quickly

[00:44:41] That his drive is much higher than his mate's

[00:44:43] In addition to

[00:44:45] Sex drive we learn

[00:44:47] Just like homo sapien males

[00:44:49] That the males of the species

[00:44:51] Are way stupider than the females

[00:44:53] This could be why

[00:44:55] They may be all but extinct

[00:44:57] How do we know this you ask

[00:44:59] Well, no matter how

[00:45:01] Horny you get

[00:45:03] Or however horny I get

[00:45:05] I'm going to say

[00:45:07] Never fuck a cougar

[00:45:09] And no not an older Sasquatch

[00:45:11] On the prowl

[00:45:13] Wild cat cougar

[00:45:15] Cause they will fucking kill you

[00:45:17] And then turn around and eat you

[00:45:19] Plus no matter how much you think

[00:45:21] It fun to play on a massive

[00:45:23] Piece of lumber by the side of the water

[00:45:25] They also can kill you

[00:45:27] This is funny and cute

[00:45:29] And natural

[00:45:31] And made up of amazing

[00:45:33] FX which is very brilliant

[00:45:35] And you see

[00:45:37] These characters

[00:45:39] For the short amount that we get to see them

[00:45:41] We really get to know them

[00:45:43] This feels like you are really watching a nature show

[00:45:45] Of this family of Sasquatch

[00:45:47] This moves along at a

[00:45:49] Great pace where we get to see

[00:45:51] Our family as it goes

[00:45:53] Through new experiences

[00:45:55] And they nomadically travel

[00:45:57] Through the hinterlands

[00:45:59] Everything so real and natural

[00:46:01] It's a beautiful

[00:46:03] Beautiful beautiful thing

[00:46:05] This movie was

[00:46:07] Mando and I mean

[00:46:09] We love Sasquatch

[00:46:11] And it's Sasquatch right?

[00:46:13] Not Sasquatches

[00:46:15] Perfect

[00:46:17] I finally got a plural right

[00:46:19] So in the two part episode

[00:46:21] Of the 6 million dollar man

[00:46:23] Called The Secret of Bigfoot

[00:46:25] Yes

[00:46:27] Bigfoot was played by

[00:46:29] Bigfoot

[00:46:31] Andre the Giant

[00:46:33] What that's Murray's favorite

[00:46:35] He loves Andre the Giant

[00:46:37] Wow

[00:46:39] Yeah you yammered on and on

[00:46:41] About Sasquatch sunset

[00:46:43] I'll keep it short and concise

[00:46:45] This is like a Sasquatch nature film

[00:46:47] Fascinating from the first frame

[00:46:49] We get to see them eat and play

[00:46:51] And walk around and discover

[00:46:53] And it was all oddly hypnotizing

[00:46:55] It goes from gross to beautiful

[00:46:57] In split seconds often within the same scene

[00:46:59] It also takes us on a journey

[00:47:01] From pure spectacle

[00:47:03] To something truly meaningful by the time

[00:47:05] I love this film it was Mando

[00:47:07] Um okay so

[00:47:09] What did you um

[00:47:11] You nailed it Murray I mean you're right

[00:47:13] It's weird okay so what was gross

[00:47:15] I didn't say anything gross in this one

[00:47:17] I know you did Jim

[00:47:19] What was gross

[00:47:21] Some people might consider

[00:47:23] You know

[00:47:25] Taking craps everywhere

[00:47:27] That was awesome

[00:47:29] They come to this

[00:47:31] As you said you don't offend easily

[00:47:33] I wasn't offended

[00:47:35] But it's still gross

[00:47:37] How is it gross that's just a bodily function

[00:47:39] They're just animals marking their territory

[00:47:41] So they're walking through the

[00:47:43] They're walking through the forest Murray

[00:47:45] And then they come across a road

[00:47:47] And they've never seen a road before

[00:47:49] So what do they do? They took a dump

[00:47:51] They did some dancing

[00:47:53] They had to

[00:47:55] Enter every moment of their bladder

[00:47:57] It was amazing you know the scene

[00:47:59] With

[00:48:01] With the counting of stuff

[00:48:03] Those scenes were so good because you could see

[00:48:05] Their brain his brain is

[00:48:07] Trying to get past that

[00:48:09] Um

[00:48:11] Primordial

[00:48:13] Place where it's at and

[00:48:15] He can only get to four

[00:48:17] He can only count to four

[00:48:19] One two three four

[00:48:21] And then he'd have to stop

[00:48:23] Think about it again

[00:48:25] It was so well done like the makeup in this

[00:48:27] Is so well done

[00:48:29] It was amazing in this all the prosthetics

[00:48:31] Like it just looks like animals

[00:48:33] They do and this

[00:48:35] The scene

[00:48:37] When the patriarch he's like all horned up

[00:48:39] Murray he's

[00:48:41] From looking at her bending over

[00:48:43] Working on stuff

[00:48:45] And then so he comes over and you know respectfully

[00:48:47] He asks her

[00:48:49] He's like they do this thing where they want to do

[00:48:51] They want to do the nookie

[00:48:53] Where they bang their fists sideways together

[00:48:55] And she's like no man

[00:48:57] Fucking busy working

[00:48:59] She didn't say that but that's what

[00:49:01] The impression you get so he's like fuck this noise

[00:49:03] He leaves

[00:49:05] Munches on a magic mushroom

[00:49:07] Must probably a poison mushroom

[00:49:09] And then that's when he runs into the

[00:49:11] Cougar that he's like

[00:49:13] Just as good as anything else

[00:49:15] Because he was going to truck

[00:49:17] A tree

[00:49:19] He was going to fuck a tree

[00:49:21] Yeah I can see where this is going

[00:49:23] And then see the movie

[00:49:25] I mean they're so close to humans

[00:49:27] This is not funny

[00:49:29] Like how many times does that happen to you Murray

[00:49:31] Walking through the woods

[00:49:33] You're with your mate

[00:49:35] And they don't want to put out so you say

[00:49:37] You know what I'm going to eat some magic mushrooms

[00:49:39] And then I'm going to fuck a piece of wood or a cougar

[00:49:41] Just don't do it with the cougar

[00:49:43] It's a story that's been told a thousand times

[00:49:45] Kale is old this time

[00:49:47] Exactly

[00:49:55] Sure was

[00:49:57] Yes it was

[00:49:59] Alright so from there

[00:50:01] Yes

[00:50:03] We go to Irene's vow

[00:50:05] And not sting

[00:50:07] Not sting

[00:50:09] So do I

[00:50:11] So Irene's vow is a story of Irene

[00:50:13] Goet op dike

[00:50:15] Who was able to hide Jews from the Nazis

[00:50:17] Knowing her story is good

[00:50:19] Having to sit through this paint by numbers film

[00:50:21] Complete with one dimensional characters

[00:50:23] Dialogue delivered in a laughable way

[00:50:25] Was for the

[00:50:27] Was for the most part this

[00:50:29] It was just not good

[00:50:31] This is a type of film I wish I could recommend

[00:50:33] But it fails on so many levels

[00:50:35] That I suggest googling Irene on the interwebs

[00:50:37] And avoid

[00:50:39] Having her memory tarnished by this

[00:50:41] Teethously poorly

[00:50:43] Acted movie

[00:50:45] This was a regrettable rage

[00:50:47] She deserved better

[00:50:49] Yeah as you said

[00:50:51] Irene and her super awesome

[00:50:53] Plan to hide 11 Jewish people

[00:50:55] In a major

[00:50:57] Of the Nazis

[00:50:59] House that she happens to be working in

[00:51:01] The story

[00:51:03] That could have been made

[00:51:05] As a short film I think

[00:51:07] But we got the benefit of seeing

[00:51:09] A two hour version

[00:51:11] That was more like a made for tv

[00:51:13] Bloated version of a short

[00:51:15] Here is the good things about this movie

[00:51:17] And there was too

[00:51:19] Any story

[00:51:21] Outlining the holocaust

[00:51:23] Is good

[00:51:25] Least we forget

[00:51:27] What happened during the holocaust

[00:51:29] For all those affected

[00:51:31] But mostly for the Jewish community

[00:51:33] And number two

[00:51:35] The ending

[00:51:37] With the realistic footage

[00:51:39] That part should have been

[00:51:41] It was the documentary part of the movie

[00:51:43] It should have been a documentary 100%

[00:51:45] Or as Bryce had outlined

[00:51:47] They should have put more thought into

[00:51:49] How this was written

[00:51:51] There's stuff in here that none of this made any sense

[00:51:53] None of it made any sense

[00:51:55] Everything was so black and white

[00:51:57] Everything was so one dimensional

[00:51:59] The Nazis are just

[00:52:01] Evil horned dogs

[00:52:03] And it's just like

[00:52:05] There was no layers to anything

[00:52:07] The characters didn't have any layers

[00:52:09] And just even how things move

[00:52:11] From scene to scene

[00:52:13] If people

[00:52:15] Saw that they were hiding them

[00:52:17] They would have done things differently

[00:52:19] Like everything about is different

[00:52:21] Like I, you know it's like when you find out

[00:52:23] One of these stories that this is kind

[00:52:25] Of what happened they hid them in there

[00:52:27] You could see how that possibly could have happened

[00:52:29] Right? But not in the way

[00:52:31] They've made it lay out

[00:52:33] They've got windows into this place

[00:52:35] What they're hiding

[00:52:37] Anybody could just fucking look in there

[00:52:39] And there they are all sitting there sleeping

[00:52:41] I can't imagine nobody took a peek

[00:52:43] What's in this window?

[00:52:45] Especially when their house is getting searched

[00:52:47] Yeah, like it was just every single scene

[00:52:49] I just kept, I felt like I was

[00:52:51] Rolling my eyes in every single scene

[00:52:53] Which is not a good thing in a movie like this

[00:52:55] Yeah, well to your point

[00:52:57] This lady was an amazing lady

[00:52:59] Amazing lady and she deserved better than what this

[00:53:01] Film delivers

[00:53:03] Other people are going to disagree

[00:53:05] They're going to say oh it's a wonderful film

[00:53:07] And it's important and it absolutely is important

[00:53:09] Her story is important, it just wasn't a good movie

[00:53:11] And the

[00:53:13] I guess the

[00:53:15] Sad thing about it

[00:53:17] Or maybe it's a good thing about it

[00:53:19] In the end we get to see that

[00:53:21] Same as kind of the

[00:53:23] The one with Anthony Hopkins

[00:53:25] I was going to say it sounds like Anthony Hopkins

[00:53:27] Yeah, I mean there is a resurgence

[00:53:29] Of Holocaust films

[00:53:31] And rightly so

[00:53:33] With what's going on in the world

[00:53:35] That we live in right now

[00:53:37] Yeah, the amount of anti-semitism

[00:53:39] That's going on right now

[00:53:41] I'd say bring on more stuff about it

[00:53:43] More like the Hopkins film though

[00:53:45] Yeah, well constructed

[00:53:47] Yeah, I mean it was still a man

[00:53:49] Well acted, yeah

[00:53:51] It was still a man

[00:53:53] It was

[00:53:55] I'm trying to think of a Holocaust movie

[00:53:57] That has been made

[00:53:59] That they actually put

[00:54:01] I guess Schindler's List

[00:54:03] Right, that was a while ago

[00:54:05] Yeah, so long ago

[00:54:07] This was terrible, it was rage

[00:54:09] Yeah

[00:54:11] Raaaaaage

[00:54:13] Raaaaaage

[00:54:23] Oh the joy

[00:54:25] Speaking of rage

[00:54:27] Yeah this sounds like the Merman music minute

[00:54:29] This week I have

[00:54:31] Another fun filled list

[00:54:33] Of really bad movies

[00:54:35] That people either walked out of

[00:54:37] Or just shut off when they were watching it

[00:54:39] What?

[00:54:41] And what they said about them

[00:54:43] Did you tell about the one that I did

[00:54:45] At SIP a few years ago

[00:54:47] Oh, well I can list

[00:54:49] Oh okay, yeah

[00:54:51] I'll save that to the end

[00:54:53] These are anonymous people

[00:54:55] On the interwebs that I don't know

[00:54:57] Whatever they are

[00:54:59] First up we have

[00:55:01] Bryce's favorite

[00:55:03] Gilly's good

[00:55:05] This person said

[00:55:07] I thought it might be comically bad

[00:55:09] But no, it's just a moldy

[00:55:11] Cardboard of movies

[00:55:13] There's a lot wrong with it

[00:55:15] Made it through 35 minutes before I realized

[00:55:17] I was actually thinking about other things

[00:55:19] And tuning it out so I turned it off

[00:55:21] There's a lot wrong with it

[00:55:23] There's a few things right

[00:55:25] And it's got Benifer in it so there you go

[00:55:27] Yeah

[00:55:29] Next up one of your guys' favorites

[00:55:31] Marriage Story

[00:55:33] Yes

[00:55:35] Who walks out on Marriage Story

[00:55:37] These are just opinions from other people

[00:55:39] It's not entirely me

[00:55:41] They said why would I want to watch

[00:55:43] Parents fight for two hours

[00:55:45] I might as well just eat dinner with my family

[00:55:47] Nice

[00:55:49] Next up

[00:55:51] One of Jim's favorites

[00:55:53] Aquaman

[00:55:55] Aquaman

[00:55:57] This person said Aquaman

[00:55:59] This was the final straw

[00:56:01] Ha ha ha

[00:56:03] Then we have

[00:56:05] The Irishman

[00:56:07] Yes, I also agree

[00:56:09] This person said Jesus Christ

[00:56:11] The CGI was terrible

[00:56:13] The story boring and slow

[00:56:15] 3 1.5 hours

[00:56:17] Yes it's so awful

[00:56:19] That's alright

[00:56:21] It's like every other movie he's made before

[00:56:23] Rubberface De Niro wasn't good

[00:56:25] But everything else is alright

[00:56:27] The franchise

[00:56:29] The fate of the Furious

[00:56:31] I don't even know which one that is

[00:56:33] That would be 8

[00:56:35] But why would somebody go to a fasten the Furious

[00:56:37] Because they probably like the other ones

[00:56:39] But this person said

[00:56:41] Fate of the Furious

[00:56:43] When the cars started being remote controlled

[00:56:45] And falling off buildings

[00:56:47] Due to hacking

[00:56:49] That's when I checked out of that movie

[00:56:51] At that point they checked out

[00:56:53] They hadn't even gotten to the one where they go to space yet

[00:56:55] They should have checked out after the first one

[00:56:57] Then we had the remake of Aladdin

[00:56:59] Oh God

[00:57:01] Mr. Will Smith

[00:57:03] Oh yeah I forgot about that

[00:57:05] This person said I couldn't get past the scene

[00:57:07] Where he helps Jasmine escape the guards

[00:57:09] Total and utter shite

[00:57:11] Yeah

[00:57:13] And the original was one of their favorites

[00:57:15] Disney

[00:57:17] I don't trust anybody

[00:57:19] I love the original

[00:57:21] The original was crap too

[00:57:23] That was one of the few cartoons I enjoyed

[00:57:25] That was one of the few cartoons I enjoyed

[00:57:27] That one in Lion King

[00:57:29] That's why you should not

[00:57:31] Stop going to cartoons

[00:57:33] Because you might find another Aladdin that you like

[00:57:35] Yeah it's been over Disney

[00:57:37] It's crap now

[00:57:39] Then we have the mummy tomb of the dragon emperor

[00:57:41] Huh

[00:57:43] The mummy 3

[00:57:45] Oh

[00:57:47] This person said I love the mummy series

[00:57:49] And Brendan Fraser is awesome

[00:57:51] I thought that was a hot pile of shite

[00:57:53] You could say that about all of them

[00:57:55] I don't think we ever walked out of a theater

[00:57:57] I liked the first one

[00:57:59] I love Brendan Fraser

[00:58:01] Then we have the human centipede

[00:58:03] The human centipede is a classic

[00:58:05] And human centipede 2 is also a classic

[00:58:07] This person said human centipede

[00:58:09] And they're so different

[00:58:11] Human centipede 3

[00:58:13] Not a classic but still

[00:58:15] I lasted about 40 minutes before I

[00:58:17] Notepad

[00:58:19] I was

[00:58:21] I was yup the hell out

[00:58:23] I'm like this is so good

[00:58:25] I tell you the doctor is like the greatest actor

[00:58:27] He's brilliant in this

[00:58:29] When he's describing to them

[00:58:31] They're all in bed all tied up

[00:58:33] And he's describing what's going to happen to them

[00:58:35] And going over like the charts of the procedure

[00:58:37] That they're going to go through

[00:58:39] That's one of my favorite

[00:58:41] Seems from head to head

[00:58:43] A lot of people did

[00:58:45] I dare you to offend me

[00:58:47] I mean a personal shopper

[00:58:49] Oh I love personal shopper

[00:58:51] So good

[00:58:53] This person said most of the film is her

[00:58:55] Reading texts on her phone

[00:58:57] That would normally

[00:58:59] That would normally annoy me too

[00:59:01] I don't even remember that

[00:59:03] I think that's inaccurate

[00:59:05] Do we need to rewatch it

[00:59:07] The alphabet killer

[00:59:09] Alphabet killer

[00:59:11] Buddy and I started watching some horror

[00:59:13] Thriller movie with Eliza Dushku

[00:59:15] And Carrie Elwes

[00:59:17] Well there's your problem right there

[00:59:19] Eliza goes crazy and the doctor diagnosed her with

[00:59:21] Adult onset schizophrenia

[00:59:23] Carrie's reaction

[00:59:25] But she's been fine her whole life

[00:59:27] Mmm

[00:59:29] Buddy and I both immediately shouted

[00:59:31] Adult onset

[00:59:33] Immediately turned it off

[00:59:35] We have one of my favorite

[00:59:37] Series

[00:59:39] Underworld Blood Wars

[00:59:41] Yeah they're all the same

[00:59:43] I don't even know what the difference is between them

[00:59:45] Most recent Underworld movie

[00:59:47] It was a lot more soap-proper

[00:59:49] In general in coherence than anything

[00:59:51] Capeback and sale was in it or not in it

[00:59:53] Was but was Bill Nye still in it

[00:59:55] No you could kill him the first one

[00:59:57] I think she must have been

[00:59:59] I just needed to prequel with him

[01:00:01] Yeah you know what

[01:00:03] I think the

[01:00:05] Underworld

[01:00:07] Underwear scene

[01:00:09] Like it's really like

[01:00:11] Twilight but just

[01:00:13] With British people

[01:00:15] And Capeback and sale was

[01:00:17] Freaking gorgeous

[01:00:19] It was fun I like Bill Nye

[01:00:21] And that one had violence in it

[01:00:23] Capeback and sale was in it

[01:00:25] She was in it all of them

[01:00:27] Underworld Blood Wars

[01:00:29] Evolution Awakening

[01:00:31] Rise of the whatever

[01:00:33] They're all fine

[01:00:35] Holy crap there's 1, 2, 3

[01:00:37] There's like 5 of them

[01:00:39] There wasn't one without

[01:00:41] Rise of the Likens

[01:00:43] Was without her

[01:00:45] That one wasn't very good

[01:00:47] It was the same

[01:00:49] Then of course we have

[01:00:51] They're all fine

[01:00:53] Then we have Cats

[01:00:55] Cats

[01:00:57] Don't waste your time

[01:00:59] It's time you'll never get back

[01:01:01] And you can be wasting your time on something more

[01:01:03] Wasteful than watching that show

[01:01:05] That movie is so terrible

[01:01:07] And yeah the one that I think

[01:01:09] Jim may be thinking about

[01:01:11] Is American Honey

[01:01:13] That is exactly what it was

[01:01:15] I loved American Honey with Mando

[01:01:17] That was probably the only movie I've ever

[01:01:19] Mando

[01:01:21] I've ever seen Jim Walked Out of

[01:01:23] Mando

[01:01:25] I've only walked out of 2 movies in my life

[01:01:27] I got 1 word for American Honey

[01:01:29] Mando

[01:01:31] The worst movie I've seen

[01:01:33] I love that movie

[01:01:35] And he was gone and I'm like

[01:01:37] Oh yes he didn't like it

[01:01:39] I can't watch another moment of this

[01:01:41] People are fucking annoying

[01:01:43] They're reliable

[01:01:45] And she's like one of the worst actresses

[01:01:47] That's ever lived

[01:01:49] She's terrible

[01:01:51] I know Shiloh was in it

[01:01:53] I couldn't even love it for Shiloh

[01:01:55] Who cares

[01:01:57] It was only about 15 minutes

[01:01:59] Left in it

[01:02:01] I just couldn't take it anymore

[01:02:03] I made it through

[01:02:05] I don't know

[01:02:07] It's literally the worst movie

[01:02:09] I walked out of that one

[01:02:11] And I walked out of another one

[01:02:13] That was a local film

[01:02:15] Something about Mexicans in the street

[01:02:17] Killing people or something

[01:02:19] I remember that a couple years ago

[01:02:21] That was the worst movie

[01:02:23] And Murray and I walked out

[01:02:25] And he watched it

[01:02:27] And we asked you the next day

[01:02:29] Hey how was that

[01:02:31] Yeah I remember that

[01:02:33] The worst part was

[01:02:35] Everybody's family and everything was there

[01:02:37] And they were glowing over it

[01:02:39] Q&A afterwards was like

[01:02:41] Oh this was so wonderful

[01:02:43] My god

[01:02:45] It was the worst piece of script

[01:02:47] Just because it was so funny

[01:02:49] I was just sitting there going

[01:02:51] How can you guys lie

[01:02:53] I know that you're related to this director

[01:02:55] So you're trying to give them support

[01:02:57] But there's no way you watched this movie

[01:02:59] You know what?

[01:03:01] Mamas will do lots for their babies

[01:03:03] For sure

[01:03:05] That's what I came up with

[01:03:07] Brought the joy buddy

[01:03:29] Okay

[01:03:31] I do have quite a few things

[01:03:33] I could rage about this week

[01:03:35] But the thing that I'm going to rage about the most

[01:03:37] Which is definitely self inflicted

[01:03:39] I'm not going to lie

[01:03:41] It's all my own fault

[01:03:43] But it fucking pisses me off

[01:03:45] So Bryce and I

[01:03:47] We only have so much time

[01:03:49] Sometimes between movies

[01:03:51] But in this one particular day

[01:03:53] We had

[01:03:55] During the festival

[01:03:57] We had a little bit of time

[01:03:59] So we were like we've been wanting to go see this

[01:04:01] Eat at this vegan restaurant down in the south

[01:04:03] For a long time

[01:04:05] But it's not open Mondays when we go see our movies

[01:04:07] So we're like okay let's go down there

[01:04:09] We did it and it was amazing

[01:04:11] It was really really good

[01:04:13] And so on our way back

[01:04:15] I was like okay let's just get on McLeod trail

[01:04:17] And take it down

[01:04:19] Downtown

[01:04:21] We literally had to stop

[01:04:23] At every fucking light along the way

[01:04:25] A time that should have taken us

[01:04:27] I know it was a little bit of rush houry

[01:04:29] But

[01:04:31] In a normal day

[01:04:33] That would have taken us

[01:04:35] 10 minutes to talk

[01:04:37] It was 25 minutes on McLeod trail

[01:04:39] My rage is

[01:04:41] Who invented the traffic

[01:04:43] In our city

[01:04:45] It's terrible. That road should be

[01:04:47] Blowed up

[01:04:49] I remember when I used to go to movies in the south

[01:04:51] I.E.

[01:04:53] The second run theater

[01:04:55] Yeah

[01:04:57] If a movie was over like 11 o'clock at night

[01:04:59] I remember hitting greens

[01:05:01] All the way to like

[01:05:03] The south of the hill

[01:05:05] That's the first time I hit a red light

[01:05:07] Because late at night they're green

[01:05:09] You could hit them all green

[01:05:11] But during the day it's a pain in the ass

[01:05:13] It's awful

[01:05:15] Especially around like Southland

[01:05:17] It takes forever to go like 3 blocks

[01:05:19] Every single light Murray

[01:05:21] It's awful

[01:05:23] That's my rage. McLeod trail you suck

[01:05:25] We should have taken elbow

[01:05:27] Which Bryce always tells me to

[01:05:29] But elbow has like 10 different speed limits

[01:05:31] It seriously goes

[01:05:33] But at least you're moving the entire time

[01:05:35] It goes from 50 to 40 to 30

[01:05:37] In like one block

[01:05:39] And they got

[01:05:41] Fricking cameras there too

[01:05:43] So yeah I've gotten tickets there

[01:05:45] I've been doing like

[01:05:47] 50 and a 40

[01:05:49] Because I didn't know if the speed limit changed

[01:05:51] It does change every 5 minutes

[01:05:53] It does but it's a nice drive

[01:05:55] If you're not in a hurry

[01:05:57] Or you're in a hurry

[01:05:59] You want to go consistently

[01:06:01] Anyway, yeah now I feel your pain

[01:06:03] I feel your pain

[01:06:19] Yeah

[01:06:21] My rage this week

[01:06:23] Is just

[01:06:25] Just over this last little bit

[01:06:27] All of a sudden I'm just noticing

[01:06:29] Nobody's sitting down and watching the movie

[01:06:31] There's like a parade of people

[01:06:33] I understand having to go to the bathroom

[01:06:35] There is an absolute parade

[01:06:37] Just of people

[01:06:39] Just like

[01:06:41] I was watching one movie

[01:06:43] And I swear

[01:06:45] At no point was everybody sitting down

[01:06:47] Somebody was always up in the aisle

[01:06:49] Moving

[01:06:51] Then again you said the very back row

[01:06:53] Near the exit so

[01:06:55] It doesn't matter where I said

[01:06:57] I would have noticed all these people moving

[01:06:59] No, I'm with you

[01:07:01] I went to see a movie on Sunday that you guys didn't see

[01:07:03] Which I didn't talk about

[01:07:05] But it was going to have a big release

[01:07:07] And it was pretty much sold out

[01:07:09] And yeah people wouldn't sit the hell down

[01:07:11] And this movie was wall to wall action

[01:07:13] But they kept getting up to go get stuff

[01:07:15] Like either they had the world's smallest

[01:07:17] Bladders or they just needed to get more beer

[01:07:19] It's the same issue I had with sporting events

[01:07:21] I think maybe that's connected though

[01:07:23] Maybe it's the beer that's being sold

[01:07:25] I have the same problem with sporting events

[01:07:27] Like it's not through a goose

[01:07:29] No, it's the same thing with hockey or football games

[01:07:31] If you're sitting on the end of an aisle

[01:07:33] And the idiots in the middle

[01:07:35] They get up 10 times to go for beer

[01:07:37] And they come back with 3 or 4 cans every time

[01:07:39] I'm like sit down and watch it

[01:07:41] Yeah like

[01:07:43] Do these people actually want it?

[01:07:45] To your point

[01:07:47] Yeah, just go to the bar

[01:07:49] And watch it from the screen

[01:07:51] In the lobby

[01:07:53] But just for common courtesy for people

[01:07:55] If you get up a second time

[01:07:57] You should be like

[01:07:59] I'm not going to go back and sit in there

[01:08:01] Apparently I'm more interested in drinking

[01:08:03] Exactly, that's the problem

[01:08:05] Because you've missed half of it anyway

[01:08:07] Concerts same thing now too

[01:08:09] The same people that we were

[01:08:11] Annoyed by

[01:08:13] Well we got a few nights back to that

[01:08:15] But the ones that were the worst

[01:08:17] They came in late

[01:08:19] So they interrupted us there

[01:08:21] That's another thing

[01:08:23] You know when the movie starts

[01:08:25] I think it was when I was sitting with you guys

[01:08:27] Maybe it was humane

[01:08:29] But it's like this couple shows up late

[01:08:31] No, it was a different one

[01:08:33] But they showed up late

[01:08:35] And we were in the back row

[01:08:37] And there were like 3 or 4 seats near the wall

[01:08:39] Then they wouldn't shut up

[01:08:41] They talked the whole freaking movie

[01:08:43] Yeah that was another one

[01:08:45] But these ones in particular

[01:08:47] It was about 20 minutes left in the movie

[01:08:49] And I thought oh fuck good they left early

[01:08:51] Because they haven't seen any of the movie anyway

[01:08:53] And then I wrote 10 minutes

[01:08:55] They were gone for 10 minutes and they came back and sat

[01:08:57] I'm like what the fuck dude

[01:08:59] Like fuck off

[01:09:01] Inconsiderate people

[01:09:03] They hold

[01:09:05] They're the worst

[01:09:07] They don't rage

[01:09:09] Subciting

[01:09:11] Plus

[01:09:13] Sling

[01:09:15] Hinger Feeding

[01:09:37] I'm not sure if you guys are watching this

[01:09:39] But I'm sure you guys are

[01:09:41] If you are watching this

[01:09:43] So please do like and share
