[00:00:40] So today is Review Day. I like to review something that I feel passionate about. I'll talk about my experience with a movie, a place, an event, book.
[00:00:55] And today I wanted to talk about a list that came out from Forbes that talked about the highest paid podcasters. Clearly, I'm not honest, but I wanted to share the list. Anyway, and none of these, I would say, are any that I listen to.
[00:01:24] Maybe you, but I wouldn't mind listening to some of them, possibly. But, of course, they're all famous people. But it was interesting. Well, let me name some of those people on this list. I will name the top, well, the ones I'm familiar with, I will name.
[00:01:52] Of course, the first one is Joe Rogan, the Joe Rogan Experience. He makes $82 million. And then Will Arnett, Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, their podcast is called Smart Less, $37 million. I've been meaning to listen to that podcast. I really like Will Arnett and Jason Bateman.
[00:02:19] And then Mel Robbins, she has a podcast. Hers is $35 million. I'm not surprised about that. She's an author as well, if you're not familiar. Jason and Travis Kelsey. I guess I seem to be surprised about that one. I don't hear much about it, though. It's called New Heights. They make $35 million.
[00:02:44] And then, you know, Charlemagne Tha God from The Breakfast Club. His is $27 million. His is the only one within the top 10, only black person for the top 10. So congratulations to him for that.
[00:03:03] And Amy Poehler, she has a podcast, Good Hang, in which she makes $24 million. Bill Simmons, the Bill Simmons podcast, $22 million. And at number 15, Joe Budden. The Joe Budden podcast makes $20 million.
[00:03:23] And I was on the Threads platform where a couple women were talking about how they noticed there were no women, black women on the list. I was actually surprised about that. I at least expected Oprah's podcast to be on there, Michelle Obama's podcast to be on there. I mean, Kiki. She's really doing really well on hers. So I really expected hers to be on there as well.
[00:03:53] And then they listed some women's podcasts to possibly listen to and help out. And that was a nice thread. Of course, I threw my hat to the ring. But one of them, or actually, yes, one of them that is on the list is Therapy for Black Girls.
[00:04:15] Dr. Joy Harden Bradford is the hostess of that one. And she focuses on emotional wellness, mental health, personal development. And another is Balanced Black Girl, hosted by Les, offering fitness, health, and self-care conversations.
[00:04:41] Which is interesting to, I idolize anyone who could really make money off their podcast. But especially to be a millionaire from it. That's really amazing.
