[00:00:17] Greetings and thanks so much for tuning in to Dreas Point of View. I am your hostess, Dreya, and in the next 10 minutes or less, I will be offering you my perspective on a topic that I feel passionate about. So please make sure that you are following the show at Dreas Point of View on Instagram, Facebook, and Threads. You can also follow along at Dreapoint on X.

[00:00:42] So, Fridays, I like to dedicate to Review Day. And I talk about my experience with just about anything, ranging from movies, a TV show, a book, a place.

[00:01:03] And today, I will be talking about some apps, safety apps. I want to say for women, since women are seen to be under attack, especially women of color, but this can be for anyone.

[00:01:24] Now, I have these on my phone. Fortunately, I've not really had to use them in a bad way. So I can't talk about my experience with that, but I can inform you.

[00:01:38] The first app I was made aware of was, for those of you who like to travel internationally, this one is Whistle, we're pulling up TripWhistle, but the app space is SOS.

[00:02:04] And it has a list of countries that gives you emergency numbers around the world. Because obviously, everywhere isn't 911. And then when something happens, you don't really, you're not going to go looking in your phone. Okay, how do I find that? You want to have those numbers handy. So it's very good for that.

[00:02:27] It uses GPS to help find you helpful. If you want evidence recorded, it shows, it lets you share your live location with those in your contacts.

[00:02:48] It shows reported incidents nearby as well. Emergency SOS, you would press a side button and a volume button repeatedly, depending on your phone. And there's a check-in feature in the messages app. Not really sure about how it works with Droid, but it's definitely one to download.

[00:03:17] And the next app that I found was the Visual Antie app. Visual A-U-N-T-I-E app. It lets people stream video live. And I believe it keeps it in there for about a year.

[00:03:46] So you have that evidence. You can get text and email alerts to up to five people who can see that live stream or your recorded footage. The app is free. And it relies on donations to give us to be free.

[00:04:08] It helps de-escalate incidents and makes it a very valuable tool for your safety. So definitely, I would suggest downloading that Visual Antie app. And another app that I came across, I think this is fairly new. It is the Anti-Watch app.

[00:04:38] And it basically is going somewhere. It offers fake calls at any time. You know, instead of you telling your friend, I'm going out with this person. Can you call me at such and such a time? It also gives you time check-ins. You know, it'll check in with you at certain times.

[00:05:09] And then if it doesn't hear from you, it'll let that person know. The person that you put in your, I guess, emergency contact. And if something feels off, it gives you an out to exit assist. So it's definitely another helpful app to download. And that one's called Anti-Watch.

[00:05:39] There's also a part in there that you could ask up to, I believe it's 15 questions about certain things, whether it be skin care or what have you. And then after that, you have to pay for a premium. But it's a very helpful app to have. So definitely, I would suggest downloading one, if not all three of these on your phone.
