[00:00:01] Allow me to welcome you to Dreas Point of View. I am your hostess Dreya and in the next 10 minutes or less I will be offering my perspective on a topic that I feel passionate about. I would love to invite you to follow Dreas Point of View on IG, Pinterest, Threads and Facebook. You can also follow me at Dreya Point on X and Spill.

[00:00:28] So I thought I would try and give a review about one of the newest apps that everyone is escaping to from Leaving X. I've been seeing people talk about it and I thought I would download it myself and try it out. That app is called Blue Sky. It's the new social network that talks about news and news and news.

[00:01:03] politics and more. It's similar to X. Many celebrities are flocking to it. At first glance, it looks exactly the same as X. And since I just joined about a week ago, I haven't interacted much on it. But I did want to try something new. Now, I don't know too many people that are on it. I just read some of the news posts.

[00:01:38] It's gained many users since the election. Many people are boycotting X and closing their accounts. But I'll keep mine for business purposes, similar to Facebook. I mean, only about, well, no, actually a great number of people I know are still on that. But I just have an account.

[00:02:00] Many people are leaving because of Elon Musk's rules. And since he's close to our next president, they want no parts of it.

[00:02:12] It's owned by Jack Dorsey, a former CEO of Twitter. It's run by Jay Graber.

[00:02:20] Blue Sky lets users elect the algorithm that they want to see.

[00:02:24] And it also lets users have websites as their handles.

[00:02:30] You can download the app from the App Store.

[00:02:34] It will ask you for your email and birth date.

[00:02:39] So far, I don't really have any complaints.

[00:02:42] Like I said, I haven't really interacted on it much.

[00:02:44] I just wanted to open an account.

[00:02:47] Will you be joining Blue Sky or have you already?

[00:02:50] If you would like to follow me on that platform, you may do so at dreahspointofview.bluesky.social.

[00:03:10] My positive news story of the day is about another app.

[00:03:15] Black Wolf is a rideshare app that offers passengers the option of armed drivers.

[00:03:22] It was founded in May of 2023 by King Brown, and it helps prioritize passenger safety,

[00:03:31] particularly in response to concerns about human trafficking.

[00:03:36] This service is set to expand into Dallas, Austin, and Houston by the end of 2024 or early 2025.

[00:03:46] It has two service levels, Black Wolf Armed that features armed drivers,

[00:03:53] and Black Wolf Premium that offers rides in luxury vehicles without armed personnel.

[00:03:59] There is a third tier, Black Wolf Comfort, that will be offering rides in everyday vehicles similar to traditional.

[00:04:08] Now, the drivers must have at least four years of experience in the military, law enforcement, or security.

[00:04:16] The pricing for Black Wolf services varies based on ride duration and mileage.

[00:04:23] So what do you think? Would you be riding with them?

[00:04:28] I would consider it, because at least I know up front what I'm getting.

[00:04:33] Now, on these Uber and Lyfts rides, you don't know if someone is armed or not.

[00:04:39] I mean, if you're in a red state, I guess you can assume that they have something,

[00:04:43] but I like to know what I'm getting, so I definitely would try Black Wolf.
