[00:00:38] So, where is your favorite place to escape when the winter comes? I've heard some people say Florida or maybe Hawaii, but according to WalletHub.com, the top warm weather spot is, wait for it, Las Vegas.

[00:01:01] I was surprised to hear about this one because I consider Vegas my second home. I've been going for over 20 years and I try to avoid it in the winter because it's desert, which means it's cold.

[00:01:12] But it made number one because of its affordability, attractions and things to do outside. Now I will say I've been recently and it was more packed than usual.

[00:01:21] I'm like, where are all these people coming from? But people come from all over to go to Las Vegas.

[00:01:27] And for those of you who don't, it's not just about gambling. Open your mind a little bit. There's a lot more to Vegas than gambling and drinking.

[00:01:35] I suggest everyone go at least once. It's an adult playground. The other ones that made the list were Miami, which made the most sense to me, but it came in at number 10.

[00:01:48] Tampa, Florida made the list. Now I know it has its beaches, attractions and a football team if you're in a sports.

[00:01:57] Houston made the list. It's been on many people's lips this year.

[00:02:02] Austin made the list as well. Now a destination that I can get behind in the winter is San Diego.

[00:02:09] I was actually just there a few weeks ago and it's not really a bad place to be.

[00:02:15] There's so many outdoor attractions. I wonder why Los Angeles didn't make the list.

[00:02:20] I'd love to know what your winter destination is. Although I do live in LA, I tend to stay there.

[00:02:32] If I don't. Okay, let me do this again.

[00:02:36] Although I do live in Los Angeles, I do get a chance to go other places.

[00:02:42] I tend to go to Las Vegas. Every now and then I go to Hawaii.

[00:02:48] But so many people who live in LA don't travel. I guess they figure that's the be all and all.

[00:02:53] They don't need to go anywhere else.

[00:02:56] I'm actually surprised Hawaii didn't make the list.

[00:02:59] You can see who else made that list on WalletHub.com.

[00:03:04] My positive news story of the day comes from London.

[00:03:08] Four years ago, a black and white cat named Marley was adopted from a rescue center.

[00:03:14] He lives in a safe house for women and recognizes trauma.

[00:03:18] Marley was named Cat of the Year by Cats Protection, a charity for cat welfare.

[00:03:24] Head of the safe house, Karen Ansis says,

[00:03:28] He has his incredible gift of empathy and has helped many women on the road to recovery.

[00:03:35] Marley was seven years old at the time.
