[00:00:48] So, I was out and about the other day
[00:00:53] and I thought about it.
[00:00:56] I'm like, you know what?
[00:00:58] I want to talk about hot chocolate,
[00:01:00] about all the people that serve hot chocolate
[00:01:03] and what I think about who has the best hot chocolate.
[00:01:08] Because I'm a hot chocolate girl.
[00:01:09] I don't do coffee.
[00:01:10] I like my teas,
[00:01:12] but there's something magical about winter
[00:01:17] or just cold and rainy days and hot chocolate.
[00:01:22] So, that's what I'm going to talk about.
[00:01:25] Now don't come for me when I talk about who's hot chocolate is better
[00:01:29] because taste is objective, but this is Dreas Point of View
[00:01:32] and I thank you for tuning in.
[00:01:34] I am Dreas, the hostess of the Short Forum Podcast
[00:01:36] and in 10 minutes or less, I will bring you my perspective,
[00:01:40] give you my opinion and my thoughts about a topic that I am passionate about.
[00:01:45] And I want you to follow me on the socials
[00:01:48] because you can find me everywhere on X and Spill,
[00:01:50] at Dreas Point and at Dreas Point of View on IG, Facebook, Pinterest,
[00:01:56] Threads and Clubhouse.
[00:01:58] So, I was running errands the other day.
[00:02:02] I was at Target.
[00:02:05] Well, let me back it up.
[00:02:07] I, unlike coffee drinkers, I do drink my stuff at home.
[00:02:12] I do have hot chocolate at home, okay?
[00:02:14] But I got to tell you, it's not the same
[00:02:15] because, you know, I don't do everything that they do.
[00:02:21] I don't get the whipped cream to put on top, which I love.
[00:02:23] It's a must for me when I have my hot chocolate.
[00:02:27] And it's sometimes you can get an optional caramel attitude.
[00:02:30] That's a bit much.
[00:02:31] But still, I don't go all out like they do.
[00:02:34] I just get my hot chocolate and call it a day.
[00:02:38] But it's just something just feels so good to me
[00:02:43] whenever I have hot chocolate, what am I talking about?
[00:02:46] And the different places that I've had it, I don't know.
[00:02:48] It's like you think you've had it good at one place
[00:02:50] until you try another.
[00:02:52] I've had hot chocolate at McDonald's and it's fine.
[00:02:56] You know, it's nothing to write home about.
[00:02:57] It's good.
[00:02:58] It's all right.
[00:03:00] And then I went to Starbucks.
[00:03:03] Well, first when I went to Target, okay,
[00:03:05] now I have a Target card holder and recently,
[00:03:10] it's only recently I learned that I could use my Target card
[00:03:14] to buy my Starbucks.
[00:03:17] I don't know.
[00:03:18] I just never thought you could.
[00:03:22] I never thought I could use my Target card,
[00:03:25] even though it's in Target.
[00:03:27] I just never attempted to until the other day
[00:03:30] when I went to pay and I saw that, you know,
[00:03:34] he was like, you put your number in.
[00:03:36] So I used my card here.
[00:03:37] I never knew that.
[00:03:38] So now every time I go to Target and see a Starbucks,
[00:03:44] I'm going to be standing in line with my Target card.
[00:03:46] So anyway, I got a hot chocolate from Target
[00:03:54] and it was good.
[00:03:56] Don't get me wrong.
[00:03:57] It was good.
[00:03:57] You know, it's Starbucks, right?
[00:03:59] It was good.
[00:04:00] He's like, you want the cream on it?
[00:04:02] Of course.
[00:04:03] That's the best part of the hot chocolate.
[00:04:04] It was good.
[00:04:05] But then I was hungry.
[00:04:08] So when I left there, I went past a Denny's,
[00:04:12] went into Denny's and got a hot chocolate.
[00:04:16] And when they bring it to you,
[00:04:19] you've got your hot chocolate,
[00:04:21] so much with cream on top.
[00:04:23] It's like ice cream Sunday.
[00:04:25] It's just, I'm telling you, it, oh my God.
[00:04:29] You would have thought I'd never had that hot chocolate
[00:04:32] there before, but it was amazing.
[00:04:38] It was some of the best hot chocolate that I've had.
[00:04:43] It was definitely better in Starbucks.
[00:04:44] I don't care what people say.
[00:04:46] Definitely better than Starbucks.
[00:04:47] I don't know if it was richer or what,
[00:04:51] but I could have drank multiple cups, but I didn't.
[00:04:55] And then that's what gave me this idea actually.
[00:04:57] I'm like, you know what?
[00:04:58] Why don't I do an episode on hot chocolate?
[00:05:00] But I'll tell you someone else's hot chocolate
[00:05:03] who I think is better than,
[00:05:07] if not on the same level as Denny's.
[00:05:09] And that's Dunkin' Donuts.
[00:05:11] Oh yes.
[00:05:13] You could even put caramel and whatever else you wanted.
[00:05:18] I haven't done that yet.
[00:05:19] I think I'll try that and see how that is.
[00:05:21] But yes, I think Dunkin' Donuts leads the pack with...
[00:05:28] Tim Hortons is up there too.
[00:05:30] Now, there's not a Tim Hortons in a lot of places,
[00:05:33] but I'm okay with that too.
[00:05:35] But Dunkin' right now leads the pack on hot chocolate for me.
[00:05:43] So if you are a hot chocolate drinker,
[00:05:45] I'd love to know where you get your hot chocolate.
[00:05:49] Are you okay with it just happening at the house?
[00:05:52] And isn't there wrong with that, of course,
[00:05:53] but it's just when I'm out and about and I'm cold,
[00:05:57] I like to have my hot chocolate carried around with me.
[00:06:02] And it just really just...
[00:06:03] Oh my goodness, I just want to curl up in a ball.
[00:06:07] So where is your favorite place to get hot chocolate?
[00:06:11] Am I missing somewhere or is there somewhere I haven't had it?
[00:06:16] Let me know.
[00:06:17] Dre's point of view at yahoo.com.
[00:06:23] And I would love for you to leave a review
[00:06:25] and catch up on my previous episodes at my website,
[00:06:30] TheDreya'sPointOfView.com as well.
[00:06:34] As always, I thank you for listening.
