[00:00:05] What's the most exciting and most watched sport in the United States?

[00:00:10] If you said anything else but football, you lose.

[00:00:18] Welcome to the Air Raid Attack Podcast.

[00:00:23] Nothing's more exciting than college or pro football.

[00:00:26] And when we say football, we don't mean soccer.

[00:00:36] Oh no.

[00:00:39] We'll hang, we'll give you in-depth analysis.

[00:00:42] And you know what? Football and life have a lot in common.

[00:00:45] So you'll hear us tackle life topics sometimes too.

[00:00:48] RAID FIGHT!

[00:00:50] So let's do it. This is the Air Raid Attack Podcast.

[00:00:55] Here we go, here we go!

[00:00:56] And this is your host, Air Raid Mike.

[00:01:00] What is up ladies and gentlemen?

[00:01:27] It's been a while since I've really been behind the mic, no pun intended.

[00:01:31] But it's great to get back on board.

[00:01:35] Of course here we go the month of May, the end of month of May.

[00:01:38] As we head down the homestretch less than 100 days to Hill College football.

[00:01:44] But without further ado, let's kick things off.

[00:01:48] I have the huge honor of having Ms. Jean Santy,

[00:01:52] the huge Florida State 1 Seminole fan,

[00:01:56] and also the co-host of the Renegade Rundown, Ms. Jean.

[00:02:02] Welcome to the Air Raid and how are you this fine evening?

[00:02:05] Oh, I'm so good and thank you so much for having me.

[00:02:08] I'm so excited and I apologize for my voice.

[00:02:11] It's Memphis. Allergies are terrible.

[00:02:13] So, you know, it is what it is.

[00:02:17] I'm here though.

[00:02:18] I completely understand, you know, Oklahoma City, we're about the same as well.

[00:02:24] It's all good and you know, the rain don't help either, but we make it work.

[00:02:30] Yeah, no. Yeah, my sister was in gymnastics.

[00:02:34] She was in like competitive gymnastics and lived in Oklahoma City for a while.

[00:02:39] Went to that gym there, like Dynamo Gymnastics or something that was there.

[00:02:43] Yeah, she went there. So I've been to Oklahoma City quite a few times.

[00:02:47] I love the friendlies.

[00:02:50] I need me some friendlies in my life all the time.

[00:02:53] You know, I've been practically been here my whole entire life.

[00:02:56] And I will say I've been to, okay, good world.

[00:03:00] I will say that I've been to a few other states and cities,

[00:03:06] but to sit there and say Oklahoma is the friendliest,

[00:03:09] I think that would be probably right on board.

[00:03:12] I mean, it's, but I will say I think it is a toss-up.

[00:03:16] I think Memphis and Oklahoma City could do a barbecue toss-off.

[00:03:20] Toss-off. I don't know. I think Memphis may beat them on that one.

[00:03:23] But there's a few good ones around here.

[00:03:26] Yeah, there's definitely some good ones.

[00:03:29] I think the problem with Oklahoma barbecue,

[00:03:31] and I don't want to like alienate all the fans,

[00:03:33] is your sauce is just a little different.

[00:03:36] You know, Memphis loves their, you know, some of the places have thick sauce,

[00:03:41] but for me, I like that sweet thin kind of vinegary sauce.

[00:03:46] So rendezvous for me is where it's at. That's all I'm going to say.

[00:03:51] Favorite barbecue. What's your favorite meat?

[00:03:55] Favorite barbecue meat is Pull Park.

[00:03:58] But I do not want to have to pick through the white pieces.

[00:04:03] Like, so again, being in Memphis, I will say the best barbecue

[00:04:08] you don't have to pick through is Central Barbecue.

[00:04:10] Y'all can come attack me later if you want to.

[00:04:12] I'm just saying, I don't like to work for my food.

[00:04:16] I do love crab legs. I don't like working for them.

[00:04:19] So I only do them on like my birthday or like another time.

[00:04:22] But with barbecue, I love me some barbecue.

[00:04:25] I just don't want to pick through it.

[00:04:27] Pieces of fat will ruin my evening. I'm just saying.

[00:04:30] Same here. Yeah, same here.

[00:04:32] I can tolerate, it would have to be very little on it for me to tolerate it.

[00:04:37] Otherwise, count me out if there's quite a bit of fat on there.

[00:04:41] I will unfortunately just have to toss it out.

[00:04:45] Or give it to somebody's dog or ask them if they want it.

[00:04:48] So, but without further ado, let's talk some Florida State Seminoles.

[00:04:53] Let's do it.

[00:04:55] You know, great season last year.

[00:04:57] I know kind of controversial ending to Florida State.

[00:05:01] And with, you know, I'm sure, you know, some people say that injury

[00:05:06] that Jordan Travis kind of played a part in that.

[00:05:09] I disagree. I don't know on that.

[00:05:11] But you know, the SEC, you know, we're going into it still has a lot of money tossing out there.

[00:05:18] So I'm sure that, you know, that helped out as well.

[00:05:21] But recapping the 23 season and add your thoughts on, on that snub from the college football playoff.

[00:05:29] What was your recap of the Seminoles last year?

[00:05:31] So for me, I honestly went into the season.

[00:05:35] I kind of thought we would go, you know, maybe 10 and three.

[00:05:39] I did not. I did think they would actually make the ACC Championship.

[00:05:44] But I thought it would be 10 and three.

[00:05:46] I thought they'd be right there on the cusp of Clemson.

[00:05:49] The Clemson game was the one that always worried me because they were going to Clemson.

[00:05:54] But, you know, they won and they went 13 and 0.

[00:05:59] And unfortunately, it was the morning Jordan Travis got hurt and he wasn't even hurt yet.

[00:06:06] And ESPN was talking about taking them out of the playoffs.

[00:06:09] And so as soon as he got hurt that day, I went on an after show and some Florida State fans didn't like what I had to say.

[00:06:17] I said they are going to leave us out of the playoffs over this.

[00:06:20] It's quite like I called it. I didn't like to call it.

[00:06:24] It's not what I wanted.

[00:06:26] And honestly, even when they won the ACC Championship, I said, they're really not going to do this.

[00:06:32] Are they like they can't like they're not.

[00:06:34] But I just something said they were going to do it because ESPN had said even before Jordan was hurt.

[00:06:43] I know what their excuse is, is that he was hurt.

[00:06:46] But it's on video. It's on video.

[00:06:49] It's on college game day.

[00:06:51] The morning Florida State played North Alabama or whatever.

[00:06:56] Jordan wasn't even hurt and they were like, well, we should actually Alabama should be in the playoffs over Florida State because you know, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.

[00:07:03] They barely beat Boston College.

[00:07:05] I'm old enough to remember that, you know, Alabama barely beat Sarias Auburn who got roasted by New Mexico State at home the week before.

[00:07:19] So again, I'm not I don't blame Alabama.

[00:07:22] I don't blame Texas.

[00:07:24] It's not their fault.

[00:07:25] Right.

[00:07:26] But they kind of need to know that you got in.

[00:07:30] Texas got in because they want Alabama and Alabama got in because you beat Georgia.

[00:07:35] That's it. That's the end of the story.

[00:07:37] And I get it.

[00:07:39] And that's fine.

[00:07:40] But you left out a team that did everything they were supposed to do.

[00:07:46] Survived injuries played a very tough schedule.

[00:07:49] I don't want to hear about it's the ACC.

[00:07:52] Sure.

[00:07:53] But they went to I know Florida sucks.

[00:07:56] Okay.

[00:07:57] But guess who else lost to Florida?

[00:07:59] Guess who lost to Florida?

[00:08:00] Tennessee, who those MFers ranked at like 14 when they've beaten nobody and lost to that Sarias Florida team.

[00:08:08] I'm over it.

[00:08:09] Like I don't want to hear it anymore.

[00:08:11] So it is political.

[00:08:14] It was political and you can't change my mind about it.

[00:08:18] Washington deserved their spot and Michigan deserved their spot.

[00:08:23] But Florida State deserved to be number three.

[00:08:25] We all know this.

[00:08:26] This is how the College Football Playoff has worked since it started.

[00:08:30] They've never done this before.

[00:08:32] And for anybody to compare the Ohio State situation by saying,

[00:08:36] well, Ohio State really put it on in their in their championship game.

[00:08:41] Well, this is what they forget.

[00:08:44] Ohio State lost that home to a Sarias Virginia Tech team.

[00:08:48] They already lost.

[00:08:49] They knew they needed to put it on.

[00:08:51] The playoff put Florida State at four before the ACC Championship game.

[00:08:57] Alabama, Texas was seven.

[00:09:01] Yep.

[00:09:02] Alabama was six.

[00:09:04] Do you tell me in what world does Texas play a lower ranked team in Oklahoma State?

[00:09:12] Florida State plays a higher ranked team in Louisville.

[00:09:16] Whether or not I mean, I agree.

[00:09:18] I think Louisville sucks.

[00:09:19] I don't care about the ACC.

[00:09:21] Like I really don't like that's not what I'm doing.

[00:09:23] You guys are the ones that ranked them.

[00:09:25] You guys are the ones that said Louisville was a 16th.

[00:09:29] Whether you're the 14 or 16.

[00:09:31] But Oklahoma State that played Texas was like 23 or something.

[00:09:36] So you explain this to me that that defensive performance that Florida State put on and yes, they had a third stringer in.

[00:09:46] OK, we get it.

[00:09:47] We get it.

[00:09:48] But that third stringer had better numbers than the Michigan quarterback did against Iowa in the same day.

[00:09:54] Exactly.

[00:09:55] And you know, it's the same and people look with, you know, and make, you know, I'm not throwing trash at our little brother here, but it's the same Oklahoma State team and people.

[00:10:05] Well, you lost him.

[00:10:06] I mean, well, you had a lot of referees that helped on that one.

[00:10:09] But the fact of matter is it's the same Oklahoma State team that lost to South Alabama and Stillwater by 20.

[00:10:17] I don't know.

[00:10:18] It was 26, 27 points.

[00:10:19] But don't forget the same OSU team that lost a really piss poor Iowa State team that lost to and got thrashed a week after, you know, they beat West Virginia.

[00:10:30] They got thrashed right.

[00:10:32] Nothing with what week before Bedlam to central Florida where they know not take it back.

[00:10:38] They beat a week after.

[00:10:40] They beat West Virginia.

[00:10:42] Right.

[00:10:43] Nothing with what week before Bedlam to central Florida where they know not take it back.

[00:10:48] They beat OU then got thrashed by central Florida by 40 whatever it was 40 something points.

[00:10:54] But yet at the same time, they considered that Texas is my opinion.

[00:10:59] I think Georgia should have been in and I think Florida State should have been in just simple.

[00:11:03] I think of that loss, but you know, it's I agree with you.

[00:11:08] But like the college will play off committee does put conference championships ahead and Georgia did lose their last game, which is another rant.

[00:11:16] I can go on in a second about how everybody's like well, Georgia won against Florida State Florida State had no players.

[00:11:23] They had no players.

[00:11:24] They're there a second string quarterback didn't even show up to the bus.

[00:11:29] To leave to go play and Brock Glenn got thrown in there.

[00:11:34] And by the way, he looks a lot better than he did in that ACC champion.

[00:11:38] I'm not gonna lie.

[00:11:39] I'm not gonna lie about that.

[00:11:40] I know they lost 63 to three.

[00:11:42] I like I get it.

[00:11:43] It's ridiculous, but he really looked a lot better and I know that sounds crazy.

[00:11:48] He really did.

[00:11:49] But think about how that quarterback allowed him to have the first string snaps for the last two weeks.

[00:11:57] He could have found something.

[00:11:58] But again, you lost about 30 players that opted out.

[00:12:03] And again, I don't blame those players.

[00:12:06] If anybody wants to come after those players, those players went to the NFL.

[00:12:10] They went to the NFL.

[00:12:11] They made their money.

[00:12:12] They were told all year to win those games.

[00:12:15] They then got told none of those games mattered.

[00:12:18] So why would they play that last game and get hurt when they're about to go to the draft?

[00:12:23] I absolutely respected that decision.

[00:12:25] I don't blame any of those kids.

[00:12:27] And honestly, if it was up to me, I would have forfeited that game.

[00:12:31] I wouldn't have played it.

[00:12:31] I wouldn't have played it.

[00:12:32] But the ACC threatened Florida State and said if you don't, you owe us money.

[00:12:36] So that's how it went.

[00:12:38] Well, and that goes to the whole thing of the bowl games and was a 43 of them now 44.

[00:12:48] Like there's more and more every year that there's the doughnut bowl.

[00:12:52] There's the pop pop.

[00:12:54] The cheese is I mean, yeah.

[00:12:57] Okay.

[00:12:58] My thing is, you know, we get we I know we understand we're about to get this playoff expansion.

[00:13:03] That's cool.

[00:13:04] Yep.

[00:13:05] We'll still have the 12 team, but we're gonna fight for that 13, 14, 15.

[00:13:10] Well, we was in Lafayette should have been in the bull crap like that.

[00:13:14] But the thing that matter is is these other bowl games are starting to become, in my opinion, not really entertaining.

[00:13:22] I don't get excited to form.

[00:13:24] I mean, yeah, I think what people should maybe and maybe the committee should start looking at as is a chance for younger players to play.

[00:13:33] I think set your senior players.

[00:13:35] Let the younger players play.

[00:13:37] It's kind of an exhibition.

[00:13:39] Don't put it on.

[00:13:41] You know, their wins losses of the season.

[00:13:44] Don't just if you really want it to happen like you've got to make it an incentive for these kids to want to play because they're being paid to play now.

[00:13:53] They're being paid to play.

[00:13:55] So for seeing them go to some bullshit bowl game that really doesn't do anything for them.

[00:14:01] I mean, maybe they get a good swag bag.

[00:14:03] I don't know.

[00:14:04] But for kids who are about to go to the NFL, there is really no incentive.

[00:14:09] They can get hurt again.

[00:14:11] Look at Jordan Travis.

[00:14:13] Look at Jordan Travis.

[00:14:15] That injury was I mean, I I couldn't even pick myself off off the ground.

[00:14:22] I mean, it was terrible.

[00:14:24] I mean, it was awful.

[00:14:25] And this kid had gone through so much.

[00:14:27] He had done so much.

[00:14:28] He had turned around all of it.

[00:14:30] Like he wanted to be a wide receiver or something.

[00:14:32] And Mike Norvell was like, no, no, no, I think you're a quarterback.

[00:14:36] And he became a very good college quarterback.

[00:14:39] I don't know how he's going to do in the NFL.

[00:14:41] I absolutely believe in him though, because his willpower everything he has.

[00:14:45] But what I'm saying is like, can we not just respect these kids?

[00:14:48] Like what the younger ones play in these ballgames if that's really what you want, because that'll give them a chance to start playing start do whatever they need to do.

[00:14:58] Get used to the scheme.

[00:14:59] Get used to the things you think they don't get on the field a lot during the year.

[00:15:02] So ball games.

[00:15:03] Maybe that's what it should be.

[00:15:05] I don't know.

[00:15:06] I'll be I'll be down for I mean, I'll be down for that just strictly because of fact that you know, I mean, now we're getting to the point now.

[00:15:15] If you're not in the playoffs, these games are many absolutely meaningless.

[00:15:20] I mean, let's say for example, let's use Oklahoma.

[00:15:23] For example, if they go back to what were we in the LMA?

[00:15:27] No, that's not the SEC now, but whatever that kind of tier level is to the SEC, the Liberty Bowl, I guess.

[00:15:33] I don't know.

[00:15:34] I mean, that's just be honest.

[00:15:37] I'm not going to I'll watch it, but I'm not going to who raw lose my voice and you know, I.

[00:15:45] Yeah, no, I just think what they did kind of did it as service to all teams that aren't, you know, Alabama, Georgia, Texas.

[00:15:54] You know, even Texas has been treated like a redheaded stepchild for a while because they were in the big 12 and so was Oklahoma.

[00:16:01] They wouldn't have gotten the benefit of the doubt if they weren't going to the SEC.

[00:16:06] I really don't think they would have.

[00:16:08] So I just feel like every all college football fans kind of saw this that weren't in the SEC, that weren't in the big 10 and said this is some shit.

[00:16:19] This is bad.

[00:16:21] And it's set a bad example because you had kids that played hurt all year.

[00:16:26] You had kids that, you know, and they won their games.

[00:16:30] They did everything they didn't win them the way you want it.

[00:16:33] When did winning the way you want it to win start to matter?

[00:16:37] You lost your quarterback.

[00:16:39] You lost your starter.

[00:16:40] You lost your leader of your team and you still found a way to win.

[00:16:43] I thought that should have been applauded.

[00:16:45] I thought defense wins championships used to be a thing and Florida State's defense was right.

[00:16:50] Number one at the end of the day.

[00:16:52] So, you know, and hopefully the 12 team playoff.

[00:16:59] Hopefully that's the answer.

[00:17:01] I'd hate to know that we have to expand it more to it's not to let more teams in.

[00:17:07] I mean, here's why I don't think it is.

[00:17:10] If you look at the top 12 right now, right?

[00:17:12] Look at the top 12.

[00:17:13] Who's right on top 12?

[00:17:15] You have one ACC team.

[00:17:16] You'll have everything else is the big, the big 10 and the SEC because Oklahoma and Texas are now in those.

[00:17:22] So that's why I count that.

[00:17:24] So you're saying again, no big 12 team is getting in one SEC, one ACC and the rest are big 12 or big 10 and SEC.

[00:17:34] So it's not going to work.

[00:17:38] People are still going to bitch.

[00:17:40] And again, I get it.

[00:17:43] But like, please, I hate the people that bitch about the BCS.

[00:17:47] Give me the BCS again.

[00:17:49] I need it.

[00:17:51] I need it back in my life.

[00:17:52] A computer deciding it other than idiots in a room is so much better.

[00:17:59] I'm sorry.

[00:18:00] I do not need boo Corrigan deciding the fate of college football.

[00:18:06] I don't.

[00:18:07] I just don't.

[00:18:08] I don't think anybody else does either.

[00:18:10] Nobody needs these rich old white men in a room who have never played the game and they only coaches.

[00:18:18] Can you explain to me the only coach in the room is someone from Wake Forest?

[00:18:22] Are you kidding me?

[00:18:24] Wake Forest would know a playoff game if it smacked him in the face.

[00:18:28] I mean, I'm sorry.

[00:18:32] I know I'm being mean, but like Jim Grove, I don't need you on the playoff committee like ever again.

[00:18:38] Okay.

[00:18:39] No, I don't.

[00:18:42] Never.

[00:18:45] And I wanted people that's out there watching or listening down in the future and listening to once it launches the BCS.

[00:18:52] You know, I still thought the BCS was the best was the best solution.

[00:18:58] Now, you know, don't get me wrong.

[00:19:00] I know there was had its flaws.

[00:19:02] You know, oh, you wasn't involved in the 2003 when they lost to Kansas State in the Big 12 Championship.

[00:19:10] Still got in Auburn that at the time was unbeaten.

[00:19:13] Yep.

[00:19:14] Got the boot.

[00:19:15] Say not you're good.

[00:19:16] And of course, I wasn't eligible though, were they?

[00:19:19] There was a whole thing about that.

[00:19:21] Yeah, I'm trying to figure out exactly what that was.

[00:19:23] Yeah.

[00:19:24] So they weren't left out because of politics or the computer glitch.

[00:19:29] They were left out because they were ineligible.

[00:19:31] I'm pretty sure they were like this is the first time it's ever happened for an undefeated power five because Auburn wasn't eligible.

[00:19:42] They were on probation.

[00:19:43] I believe, you know, that sounds about yeah, I could.

[00:19:47] I mean, look it up.

[00:19:48] I'm gonna hit my Google Role-Pak, but I'm pretty sure that Auburn was.

[00:19:53] While you do that, do you realize that Mike Riley and Gary Pinkle is also on the committee?

[00:19:58] What does Riley mean?

[00:20:00] Gary Pinkle.

[00:20:01] I'm not going to lie.

[00:20:02] I didn't think he was still.

[00:20:03] I'm not saying he was old, but I didn't think he was still involved in college football.

[00:20:07] I remember him from Missouri though.

[00:20:09] And Mike Riley.

[00:20:12] Mike Riley and Jim Grove.

[00:20:15] I mean, you had people that like have never known anything about winning championships as coaches.

[00:20:22] Like it's gross to me.

[00:20:24] I just.

[00:20:26] I don't know.

[00:20:27] Yes, they were ineligible.

[00:20:28] Yep.

[00:20:29] They were probation makes more.

[00:20:31] So they were not removed because of politics and frankly Auburn usually loses big games like that.

[00:20:40] Anyway, they should have lost the Oregon, but you know.

[00:20:43] We know how that goes.

[00:20:44] Little.

[00:20:45] Sorry, I'm kind of mean in case you didn't help.

[00:20:49] Well, you know, it's the truth though that, you know, it's just how college football is.

[00:20:57] And I'm going to get your take before we really dive into Florida State.

[00:21:00] Okay.

[00:21:02] In a message trend and within podcast network.

[00:21:08] Is it safe to say by 2030 college sports would be completely ruined to a point to where it's no longer what it once was.

[00:21:17] It's more like an NFL type thing.

[00:21:19] I don't think it's going to be ruined, but I do think it's going to change.

[00:21:23] I get a lot of pushback on this because I feel like I've talked to a couple coaches.

[00:21:30] I've talked to people who work with teams and it's really recruiting is a lot of the things that I've talked about.

[00:21:35] It's really recruiting is what's changing it.

[00:21:38] Right for college football.

[00:21:41] These coaches have to continue to recruit, recruit, recruit, recruit even when a kid is committed.

[00:21:46] Even when they sign right and these are kids out of high school that and I'm not knocking the kid at all.

[00:21:53] What I'm saying is they're having to put all this work into a kid that has not hit under the big lights.

[00:21:59] They don't know how they're going to act on the field.

[00:22:01] They haven't put them in a locker room and it's becoming a lot of work for them.

[00:22:05] And I really think after talking to a couple coaches that the portal is where it's about to be at.

[00:22:12] That's where they're going to start recruiting from.

[00:22:14] That's where they're going to start paying the money from.

[00:22:16] They've seen them under the big lights.

[00:22:18] They've seen them how they are in college atmospheres.

[00:22:21] They see them in locker rooms and the coaches can actually watch tape of them playing in a college game.

[00:22:28] And if this kid wants to hit the portal, then that's where they're going to get them and they know exactly what they're going to get.

[00:22:33] Or you can go put a million dollars into a kid who turns into a diva and wants out in 10 days and you're just shit out of luck.

[00:22:42] You know, it's like I just that's where I feel like it's going to go.

[00:22:46] That's where I feel like the college game is going to change.

[00:22:49] I think the high school recruiting is going to maybe start taking not a back burner.

[00:22:54] I'm not saying that.

[00:22:56] Right.

[00:22:57] You know, I just think a lot of these coaches around are going to say, hey, if you're a five star shirt, yeah, absolutely.

[00:23:04] But they're not going to start working and putting all their time and energy there.

[00:23:09] They're missing like Christmases, birthdays, and they spend so much time on kids that are supposedly committed when they're not.

[00:23:18] And then they switch on signing day.

[00:23:20] So why not just go after the portal kids that you've seen?

[00:23:23] You've got film on under the lights in a game.

[00:23:27] Wait, it seems like that's a better use of their time.

[00:23:31] And that's what I'm hearing.

[00:23:33] Yes, I definitely think college football and I think college sports as a whole, especially college sports.

[00:23:40] I'm really curious how the what I call the Olympic sports is going to how they're going to affect.

[00:23:47] And what leads into, you know, this first topic is college expansion.

[00:23:52] Of course, you know, we just got done.

[00:23:54] I know we got the little kind of solid states and everybody else moving around.

[00:23:57] But also the big dogs two years ago was also Oklahoma, Texas going from the big 12 to the SEC in hindsight.

[00:24:04] So thanks to Texas A&M leaking a rumor that apparently wasn't true.

[00:24:08] And then all of a sudden it became true.

[00:24:11] Congrats, A&M.

[00:24:13] But anyway, waste some money in that place.

[00:24:17] But whatever, go ahead.

[00:24:19] That whole place is that whole universities a complete waste.

[00:24:22] No offense, Texas A&M fans, but I don't really like y'all.

[00:24:25] I tried to tell you all about what you were getting, but y'all told me I was a better ex.

[00:24:29] But fine. Let me know how you're doing today.

[00:24:32] Well, you know, they just they left the big 12 because of well, obviously because of Texas, but also needless to say Oklahoma and welcome back.

[00:24:40] We're we're back again. Yeah, at least for them.

[00:24:43] We'll obviously have our licks.

[00:24:45] We'll look our wounds throughout the throughout the process.

[00:24:48] But you know, going back is, you know, the ACC added Stanford.

[00:24:53] They added Clemson for California and they added SMU.

[00:24:59] First of all, none of the three scream Atlantic Coast at all.

[00:25:03] Now, two of them is clear across the other side of the country and the other ones.

[00:25:08] Pinpoint right dab and downtown Dallas or near it and SMU.

[00:25:14] Obviously, we're hearing rumors for the state potentially SEC Florida State potentially big 10 way back when oh you was originally supposed to be leaving Florida State was to the big 12 but I didn't see that either.

[00:25:31] Your thoughts just from a fan standpoint.

[00:25:33] College expansion and then of course Florida State and you know what what what what screams best fit for them moving forward.

[00:25:44] Well, I mean, I probably differ from a lot of Florida State fans here because I mean, obviously I follow the team.

[00:25:52] I have a podcast.

[00:25:54] I've kind of seen all Florida State's been working.

[00:25:57] I don't even think the SEC is in play at this point.

[00:26:00] Now things can change like that can absolutely change.

[00:26:04] I could see the big like the SEC getting you know, nervous about having the big 10 right in their backyard with a huge value property.

[00:26:15] I really could see that but I don't see the SEC.

[00:26:19] And I think that's what Florida State would you know demand because I just I don't see the SEC for a lot of reasons.

[00:26:29] You know, Florida State's been treated like the redheaded stepchild in the SEC for a long time and I don't see them going to another conference to just go back to that.

[00:26:40] I just I really don't unless they get some things met that they've asked for and I don't see the SEC saying yeah, sure.

[00:26:47] Absolutely.

[00:26:48] So I I really I think they've been working towards the big 10 for a long time.

[00:26:53] You know, their AAU status is going to be fulfilled probably within about a year or so.

[00:27:00] I just I think that's what they've been working for from an academic standpoint, from a football standpoint.

[00:27:06] And I think that's also from a standpoint of them feeling wanted.

[00:27:12] So and you know, I don't know how anything else shakes out.

[00:27:18] Honestly, a week ago, I was in the office and I was like, I don't know.

[00:27:23] And you know, I don't know how anything else shakes out.

[00:27:28] Honestly, a week ago, I would have said Clemson was not I would have thought Clemson would go to the SEC right now.

[00:27:37] I think they are Florida State's partner to go to the big 12 big 10.

[00:27:40] Yeah.

[00:27:41] And it's weird for me.

[00:27:43] No, it is weird because you know, we you know, I know I can't really speak for Florida State.

[00:27:51] But going back to Clemson, you know, a lot of people didn't really think Clemson would be in the SEC strictly because of South Carolina.

[00:27:57] You got that little close.

[00:27:59] Oh, yeah.

[00:28:00] But South Carolina does not have that type of hole in the SEC.

[00:28:04] No.

[00:28:05] Stop it.

[00:28:06] And I think the SEC would love to have Clemson.

[00:28:10] But I think I really think the SEC's picks are going to be North Carolina.

[00:28:16] I think it's going to be North Carolina State and that's going to be maybe a year out.

[00:28:21] I don't know.

[00:28:22] I think North Carolina is involved in so much drama with their Board of Regents or whatever they call them because they have to get approval from them to even talk to anybody.

[00:28:34] So I think the SEC really covets them.

[00:28:39] Sometimes I think with this whole footprint or views, nobody watches North Carolina in North Carolina.

[00:28:48] You know what I mean?

[00:28:49] So I don't know what this footprint gives you.

[00:28:51] That's fine.

[00:28:52] They're still watching SEC games and mostly watching Florida State games.

[00:28:55] There are two teams in the SEC that bring eyeballs.

[00:28:59] One is Florida State followed by a far second is Clemson followed by even further is Miami, which brings me so much joy.

[00:29:06] But I'm just saying, I don't know what this footprint model is.

[00:29:11] But I think for Clemson, their value is that they've made themselves available first.

[00:29:16] Oh, absolutely.

[00:29:17] Yeah.

[00:29:18] They are available.

[00:29:20] They're making themselves available.

[00:29:22] North Carolina is like they they're stuck.

[00:29:25] They're stuck.

[00:29:26] And I think both the Big Ten and SEC would love North Carolina again.

[00:29:31] I don't get it.

[00:29:32] That's not my business.

[00:29:33] I don't work there.

[00:29:34] So but I I do think the North Carolina is going to the SEC because their chancellor is an SEC guy.

[00:29:41] And I think that's where that's headed.

[00:29:43] Real quick.

[00:29:44] What about Duke?

[00:29:45] Big Ten.

[00:29:46] Eventually, Duke.

[00:29:47] Who?

[00:29:48] Duke.

[00:29:49] I mean, is that important?

[00:29:52] Eventually.

[00:29:53] No, I honestly.

[00:29:58] I could see Duke saying in like the Bay, like in the ACC maybe and then them kind of making sort of like a private school thing or like a basketball type conference, something like that.

[00:30:09] Like, that's what I could see.

[00:30:11] I have heard that the Big 12 is after Duke.

[00:30:16] I just I don't I don't know.

[00:30:19] What does Duke bring besides basketball revenue, which is the biggest thing that I've ever heard.

[00:30:24] Like, again, I understand.

[00:30:27] I love basketball.

[00:30:28] Everybody gets on to me about this.

[00:30:29] But the only thing that moves this needle is football and people have to understand that they really do.

[00:30:34] This is not anything against any basketball schools at all.

[00:30:40] No, but football actually brings revenue.

[00:30:43] Basketball.

[00:30:44] If if basketball would bring everything, Memphis would be in a better conference.

[00:30:49] Let's be real.

[00:30:50] Like I and Memphis has a decent football, but like it just it isn't it doesn't move the needle.

[00:30:55] You know, so I just I think Duke is more attractive than Wake or NCC 100.

[00:31:00] Oh, by far.

[00:31:01] Absolutely.

[00:31:02] And waking NC State fans come after me.

[00:31:06] I love you guys.

[00:31:07] Come on.

[00:31:08] Bring it on there.

[00:31:09] And they're bigger name than Boston College.

[00:31:11] I love you guys.

[00:31:12] I love you guys.

[00:31:13] I love you guys.

[00:31:14] I love you guys.

[00:31:16] I love you guys.

[00:31:17] Come on.

[00:31:18] Bring it on there.

[00:31:19] And they're bigger name than Boston College.

[00:31:20] So I mean, I mean, who isn't?

[00:31:23] No, Duke would be the next one.

[00:31:26] Next lined up on that one.

[00:31:27] And I could I really could see Duke being a big 12 target, but I could also see them staying as like a flagship of the ACC.

[00:31:38] I really could.

[00:31:39] I think their football has come up.

[00:31:42] I have predicted that many Diaz is going to go back into Miami next year and beat them because Miami loves to lose to Duke.

[00:31:49] And especially with many Diaz as a coach, it's going to be hilarious.

[00:31:52] My team has never lost to Duke in football.

[00:31:55] All right.

[00:31:56] But I just I don't know.

[00:31:59] I think Duke is way more attractive than people think they are.

[00:32:03] I'm a little surprised the big 10 isn't more involved with you.

[00:32:07] But it's because it's a private university.

[00:32:09] The big 10 likes public universities.

[00:32:11] I totally get that.

[00:32:12] And Duke isn't just a private institution.

[00:32:15] They're a private, private institution like it's.

[00:32:18] Yeah.

[00:32:19] So I think that has some of the issues with it because Miami is also a private institution.

[00:32:25] I don't think a lot of people know that.

[00:32:27] But Miami, I don't know from what I heard today, I think Big 12 or the ACC for them right now.

[00:32:36] The Big 12.

[00:32:37] I've said this even when the Big 12 lost Nebraska, Colorado, Missouri, Texas,

[00:32:43] saying them back in 20 whenever that was 11, 12, 10 maybe.

[00:32:48] But I've always thought the Big 12 should have to keep Oklahoma around in Texas.

[00:32:55] But the time when the dominance with Oklahoma football,

[00:32:59] you know, I think that they could have went after the Florida State,

[00:33:02] the Clemsons, the Louisville, the Miami's at the time.

[00:33:07] Exactly.

[00:33:08] I think that not saying, oh, you and Texas would have stayed.

[00:33:10] It would give them at least a better chance.

[00:33:12] But I actually I think they would have because I think Texas would have stayed.

[00:33:16] And I think with Texas stay, if Texas would have stayed, Oklahoma would have stayed.

[00:33:22] I really do think they would have stayed.

[00:33:24] I did water too, just because at least you replaced, you know,

[00:33:29] you lose Nebraska tradition, but Nebraska hasn't been Nebraska in years.

[00:33:32] And so, you know, you gained better schools for teams that, you know, hit the hay.

[00:33:39] So now it's going to be interesting what the ACC does.

[00:33:41] I'd be curious. Are they the next?

[00:33:43] I can't wait.

[00:33:45] You know, I can't wait.

[00:33:46] I can't wait to watch them fall.

[00:33:48] I can't wait to watch them lose.

[00:33:50] I can't wait to watch, you know, the Jim Phillips who did nothing about the snub,

[00:33:55] who really has done nothing his whole career there and makes millions of dollars and does nothing.

[00:34:00] I have no love for the ACC, other ACC fans.

[00:34:04] I do not cheer for them.

[00:34:06] I don't care about your team.

[00:34:08] I don't like maybe if Clemson is playing Florida, I might have a dog in that bite or Miami or like maybe a Tennessee.

[00:34:18] You know, I live in Memphis, so Tennessee fans are wild.

[00:34:23] Yeah. Good luck with that.

[00:34:24] You're going to ACC.

[00:34:26] I just I don't know.

[00:34:29] I don't really care about the ACC.

[00:34:32] I hope they fold.

[00:34:33] I think they ruin their brand.

[00:34:35] I think they've ruined.

[00:34:37] They did this to themselves.

[00:34:39] And I just feel like them putting basketball in North Carolina first all this time has really come back and bite them in the ass.

[00:34:48] Well, yeah, exactly.

[00:34:50] I mean, because when you think ACC, you still think of the Bobby Bowden days.

[00:34:55] I mean, I don't know how you cannot in the gym, you know, and I understand that Miami was still in the Big East during the Jimmy Johnson days.

[00:35:03] But even in early 2000 ish when they made a transition from Big East to the ACC, they weren't, you know, bad, bad.

[00:35:12] But they were still Florida State that ran the ACC and to, you know, and yeah, Miami has never won it.

[00:35:19] Sorry, guys.

[00:35:20] Never hadn't sniffed it.

[00:35:23] We are.

[00:35:24] I am looking forward to and it won't be it will not be this should be next year going back to Neyland Stadium and playing Tennessee again.

[00:35:31] The first time since I know we're times.

[00:35:34] So, oh, nice.

[00:35:35] Yeah.

[00:35:36] Neyland is always fun.

[00:35:37] I went one time my sister went there.

[00:35:40] You know, I live in Memphis like I said, half of my family sent a few bands have a more Memphis fans.

[00:35:46] I just happened to go to for say because I'm a contrarian.

[00:35:49] OK, and I also like winners, you know, whatever.

[00:35:54] And it's Florida.

[00:35:55] Like, why would you want to go to exactly?

[00:35:57] But, you know, so for I went to Neyland one time, I went to a game.

[00:36:02] My sister went to college there and they were playing Georgia.

[00:36:05] And I was like, there is no way I'm putting on that orange.

[00:36:08] It's not happening.

[00:36:09] So I put on a red turtleneck and I had to go sit in the student section at Neyland.

[00:36:13] I got booed.

[00:36:14] But the Georgia fans were so I walked in, I was just waving whatever the Georgia fans could have been nicer.

[00:36:23] And I didn't have to pay for a drink or food the whole day.

[00:36:25] Loved it.

[00:36:26] I got nothing but respect for Georgia.

[00:36:30] I have there's nothing I don't think is a pit.

[00:36:32] I mean, I'm sure there's one thing I can play pinpoint on the program, but I just don't.

[00:36:36] There's nothing about me.

[00:36:37] You can't hate other.

[00:36:39] But no, I mean, I don't mind, Georgia.

[00:36:42] I mean, obviously, you know, we lost them, but I don't even think that was really a game.

[00:36:47] I think that was like an exhibition.

[00:36:48] I don't even I honestly wouldn't have played that game.

[00:36:51] I would have walked out there and kneeled at the 50 yard line and just been like, goodbye.

[00:36:56] Like, I don't want to be here.

[00:36:59] But, you know, Kirby Smart was the assistant coach of Florida State.

[00:37:04] I love Kirby.

[00:37:07] I, you know, I don't my Georgia is not an SEC team that I I just don't mind them.

[00:37:13] Like, I don't I loved Mark Richt for years.

[00:37:16] I think he's one of the most amazing humans you could ever come in contact with.

[00:37:20] So I just you know, Alabama, I don't even know what went on with Alabama.

[00:37:25] It's really Tennessee fans and Florida fans.

[00:37:27] Y'all just are you good luck with that?

[00:37:31] Good luck.

[00:37:33] I really do believe I know, you know, I talk some crap sometimes to some people, but I think this year's a learning curve for Oklahoma.

[00:37:42] They got the you know, I think defense will, you know, be much better.

[00:37:46] I think offensive often the old lines, the biggest key on offense, if they can really get some wind that they were only supposed to.

[00:37:53] I do believe that Oklahoma can can make some noise not saying we're going to win the SEC this year.

[00:37:58] But I think you have a pretty good chance at it.

[00:38:01] And I also think I think we're in Venables is a great coach.

[00:38:05] I love for Invenables and I loved him leaving Clemson even more.

[00:38:09] So, you know, you got very lucky there.

[00:38:15] But I with with Tennessee fans, have you ever dealt with them?

[00:38:20] I need you to be real.

[00:38:22] Oh, yeah.

[00:38:23] Okay.

[00:38:24] So, you know, they're insane.

[00:38:26] Mm hmm.

[00:38:27] Okay, I just let you know, because it's that's a different breed.

[00:38:32] That is it.

[00:38:33] They really think it's still like, I'm not kidding.

[00:38:37] Well, I'm pretty sure Coach former still the head coach.

[00:38:40] Um, I call it the Miami Hurricanes of the SEC because they still believe it's 1999.

[00:38:46] They still believe they just want a championship.

[00:38:49] They still believe they've got like Peyton Manning at quarterback.

[00:38:53] I've never seen anything like it because I had to deal with both sides because I live here.

[00:38:58] And then I do Florida State stuff.

[00:39:00] So the Miami fans.

[00:39:04] So what's your whole another story?

[00:39:07] So pretty much Tennessee is the the university version of the Dallas Cowboys.

[00:39:13] Yes, Tennessee, Miami.

[00:39:15] Yes, that's exactly what they are.

[00:39:17] Absolutely.

[00:39:18] It is so fun.

[00:39:19] They get so mad.

[00:39:20] They wear the worst clothes.

[00:39:22] Honestly, I got to tell you, I wouldn't even date a Tennessee fan.

[00:39:26] I wouldn't know.

[00:39:28] I mean, you know what?

[00:39:31] Maybe I should rethink that.

[00:39:32] I feel like they would be easily manipulated.

[00:39:35] So maybe I should take them.

[00:39:36] I don't know.

[00:39:37] I don't know.

[00:39:38] They can sell for man.

[00:39:40] You wouldn't really have to get your hair done.

[00:39:42] Maybe I should.

[00:39:43] I don't know.

[00:39:44] They're different breed.

[00:39:45] You got to watch them though.

[00:39:47] I mean, it's weird.

[00:39:48] It's very, I don't want to.

[00:39:49] It's very, I don't like the overalls, the checkered overalls for me, which is also like a Florida fan with the, the George and like those George.

[00:39:57] Like now I'm not doing that either.

[00:40:00] But honestly, like with when Tennessee lost a Florida this year in Florida won what four games five games?

[00:40:06] Are we are we kidding ourselves?

[00:40:07] And Tennessee's ranked 14, 14 or 17 somebody got who does like Tennessee beat basically Connecticut.

[00:40:15] That was their big win.

[00:40:17] I just, I hope Oklahoma and Texas just go in there and just smash it because I'm so tired of the Missouri's, the Tennessee's getting away with being nobody barely beating like Auburn's or New Mexico or whatever bullshit teams they schedule on their schedule.

[00:40:37] You know, whatever.

[00:40:38] And then losing to the actual good teams in the SEC and then, oh well, they're in the SEC.

[00:40:43] Let's rank them.

[00:40:45] Well, I'm so glad they're adding more that are going to kick their ass.

[00:40:49] That's what I'm hoping for.

[00:40:50] I do think, you know, I think this year, for example, no, I think, well, I do believe I'm not sold on Missouri and, and, and definitely not sold on Tennessee.

[00:41:02] I think those are two games Oklahoma, you know, I know one's in Columbia, one's in Norman.

[00:41:07] Excuse me.

[00:41:08] But Tennessee, you know, I know they bring some, but I think Josh Hype was going to get more of the emotional whatever rendezvous just coming back to Norman than anything else.

[00:41:21] Oh, he's first SEC game in history.

[00:41:24] I'm sure it's gonna be a night game.

[00:41:25] I would don't see why would it wouldn't be.

[00:41:30] I'm a little, are you concerned at Brent?

[00:41:34] Minnibals, you know, maybe doesn't have the best year this year that he gets canned.

[00:41:39] Here's it was funny.

[00:41:41] You brought that up.

[00:41:42] So I can't remember who the guest was.

[00:41:45] So I ain't gonna say well back on this day on this day with guests.

[00:41:47] So and so I can't tell you exactly who the guest was, but I can probably look it up eventually.

[00:41:54] I was a very huge Dan landing.

[00:41:57] Oh, you go after a landing guy extremely because here's the deal.

[00:42:01] It brought back.

[00:42:03] Let's use Nebraska for example, you and Alabama fans.

[00:42:07] Yeah, let's let's let's bring back Nebraska just because you went in house or brought back.

[00:42:16] What was it?

[00:42:17] Well, they best where they brought back people that know the program doesn't always mean that's the route to go.

[00:42:24] But I'm not surprised.

[00:42:26] I do like Brent regardless.

[00:42:27] I'm not taking any shots of him at all.

[00:42:29] Yeah, I was just man.

[00:42:31] Dan Lening knows the SEC not saying Britain doesn't but Dan Lening doesn't weekend and week out.

[00:42:40] You know, Clemson doesn't sometimes in the playoffs.

[00:42:43] So congrats, but but week in a week out he knows the grind is going to take but at the same time Brent knows I think they wanted to come in somebody to come here and kind of calm things down linking left a bad note whether or not he cried and didn't cry.

[00:42:59] Whatever.

[00:43:00] I don't care.

[00:43:01] It's just after he said I mean I don't know.

[00:43:05] But that's yeah.

[00:43:07] But the answer your question, Jen is I think this year he's going to be safe.

[00:43:15] Now having back having gone six and seven two years ago.

[00:43:22] Luckily he bounced back with the 10 and three season.

[00:43:26] That saved.

[00:43:27] I think that did save him a few years left now with that.

[00:43:32] Exactly.

[00:43:33] He gets the same exact SEC conference schedule next year just opposite.

[00:43:38] So we go to Tuscaloosa we you know LSU comes here we go to you know Ole Miss comes here we la la la la la so that we already know the SEC next year you add Michigan on top of that next year they come to Norman.

[00:43:51] Now here's the deal.

[00:43:55] I think 25 is going to be make or break for a lot of other things.

[00:43:58] Make a break for you as as that.

[00:44:02] I do think 25 is a big year because it tells me okay now we're that's going to be year year four five six and seven was the first year could we lost to you guys in that one ballgame.

[00:44:18] Yeah that was two years ago.

[00:44:20] So to so this is yeah it's okay four years in it'll be his fourth year in if there's not any type of improvement somehow I think he could be he could be on the hot seat because even though we're in the SEC oh you fans and there's a lot of cuckoo ones of them that sit there and say you know we're going to go undefeated.

[00:44:42] Okay well let's calm our horses down first of all whether we do or not that's not the answer but we're not just going to be like dollar with a national championship.

[00:44:53] He's going to win coach of the year.

[00:44:54] Yeah he's got a hall of fame like especially the first year like let's calm down just a bit.

[00:44:59] Yeah it may not happen.

[00:45:01] We're gonna get our bumps and our bruises along the way.

[00:45:04] Don't get me wrong.

[00:45:05] Just not you know we may win but it's not going to be this year.

[00:45:08] Yeah and you might.

[00:45:09] You might.

[00:45:10] Exactly I'm not going to sit here and say not but I do think I'm going to go out in the lame I said this on the podcast before I'm going to say it again.

[00:45:19] Oklahoma's in a make or break year or make or break moment for all you there on the verge of being Nebraska all over again in the Big Ten.

[00:45:28] Okay I disagree with you on that.

[00:45:31] I think Oklahoma has they are recruiting so well right now.

[00:45:36] They're recruiting very well.

[00:45:37] I like the recruits they're taking.

[00:45:39] I mean they're not like Texas right now obviously right but Texas is going to lose recruits because Steve Sarkeesian is going to lose games.

[00:45:47] We know this it is what it is.

[00:45:50] I feel like Oklahoma is going to be the more successful one.

[00:45:53] What I worry about is they're going to fire Brent and hire Josh Heifel.

[00:45:59] That's what I worry about.

[00:46:00] I am I think firing Venables would be wrong to hire Josh Heifel.

[00:46:07] Oh yeah.

[00:46:08] And that is that's why I was asking that question because I do think Josh Heifel is the one that they've circled they've thought about if they have to make that call.

[00:46:19] And I do think Josh Heifel would leave Tennessee for Oklahoma.

[00:46:22] I don't think it would be.

[00:46:24] Yeah I don't even think that we had choice.

[00:46:26] I just don't know.

[00:46:28] I think Josh Heifel did a great job his first two years but Tennessee is regressing.

[00:46:34] It's regressing right now.

[00:46:36] I think the Naco kid is really good.

[00:46:39] I just don't know I'm not seeing on their defense their defense needs a lot of work.

[00:46:43] I mean that defense is they let Iowa score.

[00:46:48] I was couldn't score a touchdown like all year.

[00:46:51] No.

[00:46:52] And they want to score with two or three.

[00:46:54] I mean what are we doing here.

[00:46:56] Those like they couldn't pay a homeless person to take a football over the like the goal line to put it on there to score.

[00:47:06] I've never seen the I just again I'm not trying to be mean.

[00:47:11] I just I don't want them to fire Brent Venables for Josh Heifel because I don't know that it would really elevate it that much.

[00:47:18] No I mean no exactly.

[00:47:20] I think I hate saying that and I like Heifel like what he did too.

[00:47:23] His office wasn't working when he was the coordinator for Bob and thing just had to change.

[00:47:29] But the thing that matter is is let's just play devil's advocate.

[00:47:34] I mean I hate saying this because I really want us to come in here start proving the haters wrong but we'll see what happens is if by chance.

[00:47:43] Oh you look like man we just come on Brent we did this thing and go in nowhere.

[00:47:47] We got to figure something out if we're if we're going to fight.

[00:47:50] If we're if we're going to fight and I know this is a long shot.

[00:47:53] It would be like if you're going to get rid of Brent you better bring in like a Ryan Day.

[00:48:02] Right heartline.

[00:48:03] Right heartline line.

[00:48:05] You better somehow open up your pocketbooks and get Kirby who took over Michigan because he's from oh you.

[00:48:17] I can't even look at all my I can use my phone for my camera.

[00:48:22] I can't look it up.

[00:48:23] Hang on let me let me check my Google Michigan head coach.

[00:48:28] I can see his face.

[00:48:30] Yeah me too.

[00:48:31] I mean he's a cryer though in Oklahoma we don't want cryers.

[00:48:38] I'll be carried but he'll be on the one most thing depends on how he does in Michigan.

[00:48:42] But if if oh he's going to say this ain't gonna if this ain't gonna work yikes to save our program literally we got to go open up the pocketbook go after Kirby.

[00:48:55] Nick obviously is done.

[00:49:00] Lincoln obviously will never come back.

[00:49:03] I'm telling you it's going to be George Heifel.

[00:49:06] I don't know what to say about that late Kevin's going to Florida next year.

[00:49:10] I just which is unfortunate for me but I think that's the way that's gonna go.

[00:49:19] I think Lane Kevin would crawl over broken glass to get to a program in Florida and especially a big one.

[00:49:25] And if it's not gonna be I mean you know I even said when everybody was saying Mike was going to go to Alabama.

[00:49:35] I was like OK but I mean he's not.

[00:49:39] I didn't think he was I was told he wasn't but I also said but if he does like given is up and I kind of got called crazy.

[00:49:49] And then what three weeks later ESPN came out with this story that said guess who had already said yes.

[00:49:56] Well Lane Kiffin so again I mean Lane Kevin is going to go to Florida him in Oklahoma.

[00:50:03] I don't know how that would work.

[00:50:05] I don't know that it would work as well because I think Florida is like clashing in this Oklahoma fans would look at him like.

[00:50:16] I mean he is kind of douchey like let's be real.

[00:50:19] Who was the real.

[00:50:21] Yes.

[00:50:22] Tweets are hilarious though.

[00:50:23] I mean I love him too.

[00:50:25] I love chaos.

[00:50:27] OK I'm an anarchist at heart.

[00:50:29] I love it.

[00:50:30] I love it.

[00:50:31] I love it gives me more of it.

[00:50:32] Show me all like the backstories of it too.

[00:50:34] By the way like given me the reality show.

[00:50:36] I'm here for this.

[00:50:39] I don't look like Taj point 0 2.0.

[00:50:41] He does.

[00:50:43] Buy a GoPro and fucking sell it to Bravo.

[00:50:46] Everybody would love it.

[00:50:47] Everybody would love it.

[00:50:49] I mean I would watch it 24 7.

[00:50:52] I would watch it 24 7.

[00:50:54] I just you know there's this is the other name that worries me for Oklahoma if y'all decide to fire Brent Benavos is Tion Sandra.

[00:51:06] Oh God please don't do it.

[00:51:08] Don't do it.

[00:51:09] Don't do it.

[00:51:10] It's funny you brought that up.

[00:51:12] I don't cause his name's coming up.

[00:51:15] That's why well his name is going to come up.

[00:51:17] I still think he's goes to Florida State eventually.

[00:51:20] Here's here's what I think.

[00:51:23] You can go to Dallas.

[00:51:24] Here's what I think.

[00:51:26] I think he's head over.

[00:51:30] I don't think he's not the guy for Colorado.

[00:51:32] He was he's not going to turn that program around at all.

[00:51:36] No shit.

[00:51:37] Yeah he's he's what program.

[00:51:40] They haven't had a program since 1990 and it's a share that Georgia Tech since.

[00:51:45] Well yeah like so it's just he he it's a banding project for him.

[00:51:52] And honestly I got on a space last night that really I mean I've got on like a Florida State space after my show like thinking hey let's talk to the fans.

[00:52:01] And there was all these Colorado fans in there and they are really awful.

[00:52:05] They're really awful.

[00:52:07] I don't know why they haven't been good since Cordell Stewart.

[00:52:10] Well this is what us in the South like to call new money.

[00:52:15] They're new money.

[00:52:17] They're not used to being good and they still aren't good.

[00:52:22] And they're not any good and they won four games and because they get like what the glorification we're supposed to sit there and spoon.

[00:52:31] No no no.

[00:52:33] I love to young standards of the player.

[00:52:34] He went to Florida State.

[00:52:35] He's one of the best players that ever played at four state and Bobby Bowden said amazing things about him.

[00:52:40] What if he has not been a great ambassador for a long time.

[00:52:46] That never bothered me because he was a good player.

[00:52:48] I didn't care what he did after he left.

[00:52:50] That's all my business.

[00:52:52] That's his business.

[00:52:53] I don't care.

[00:52:55] What killed me with him was when he bragged about getting a speaking thing at Bobby Bowden's funeral and didn't show up.

[00:53:05] That's what said I am out Dion enjoy have a nice one.

[00:53:11] You know I'm fine with you at Colorado.

[00:53:14] You know enjoy yourself but the fact that he didn't get the Florida State job he continuously bashes.

[00:53:20] I just I don't get it.

[00:53:22] I really don't get it.

[00:53:23] Like why in the world would you as no head coaching experience want to take over a program like Florida State and think you just earned it right.

[00:53:33] It makes no sense.

[00:53:38] He's not going to do anything at Colorado.

[00:53:39] I think he leaves after this year to be honest.

[00:53:42] He leaves when his kids leave.

[00:53:43] Yeah.

[00:53:44] Sure.

[00:53:45] There are leaves and shot and silo leaves.

[00:53:47] They're both going to leave this year.

[00:53:48] So I think he's out now.

[00:53:50] Where does he go?

[00:53:51] I don't know.

[00:53:52] I don't actually think he's going to head out down Dallas.

[00:53:57] I don't know.

[00:53:58] He may go to Florida.

[00:53:59] I don't know.

[00:54:00] I don't see that.

[00:54:01] I don't.

[00:54:02] He's not going to go to Florida.

[00:54:03] He's going to see maybe like if if miles on leaves UCF or like USF needs a good.

[00:54:09] That's where he needs to start.

[00:54:12] I don't get the fact that coaching is hard.

[00:54:17] One, you have to buy insurance for your players.

[00:54:19] That's kind of a must.

[00:54:21] Also, you know, maybe not treat them like shit.

[00:54:27] I mean his antics on Twitter is gross.

[00:54:30] Parents don't like it.

[00:54:31] Parents do not like it.

[00:54:32] That's why he has to use the portal.

[00:54:34] You got to do other things.

[00:54:36] Dion.

[00:54:37] I do love Dion.

[00:54:38] He was a great player.

[00:54:40] I'm really not trying to trash him.

[00:54:42] I think he's a great dad.

[00:54:44] I just don't think he's a great coach.

[00:54:46] I don't think he's a great runner of a program.

[00:54:48] And this is not any sort of like I'm not jealous of Colorado.

[00:54:54] OK, no.

[00:54:55] Like Colorado people actually like you're so jealous.

[00:54:58] I was like of what?

[00:54:59] What am I jealous of?

[00:55:01] You're jealous that your Florida state is not 0 and 12.

[00:55:04] I mean, no offense.

[00:55:05] But the last time we played Colorado, we beat the shit out of you.

[00:55:08] And that was like in our down years in the 2000s.

[00:55:11] OK, like I'm not jealous of you at all.

[00:55:17] So I just I don't know.

[00:55:19] I think Langton is going to be an ex-coach of Florida.

[00:55:22] Brian Hartline might be the next coach at Ole Miss when Lane leaves.

[00:55:30] That would make a lot of sense to me.

[00:55:33] And I hope Brent Benables has a great year because I think he deserves this.

[00:55:38] Oh, absolutely.

[00:55:39] I loved him at like, I mean, when he left Clemson, I was so happy.

[00:55:43] Double kick coach.

[00:55:44] We all know this devil is allowed to call play.

[00:55:47] He's allowed to do anything when he left.

[00:55:49] Jeff Scott and Brent Benables.

[00:55:53] We made in the shade, darling.

[00:55:55] Thank you.

[00:55:56] When when when when Brent left Clemson, look at the defense at that first season without Brent.

[00:56:03] Oh, I know there's a complete chain wreck.

[00:56:05] It has been since.

[00:56:06] So I'll be there.

[00:56:07] It has been since.

[00:56:08] So you mean when devil hired his cousin, it didn't work out very well.

[00:56:12] Okay.

[00:56:13] Yeah.

[00:56:14] Yeah.

[00:56:15] I mean, so obviously, you know, Brent made him look good.

[00:56:20] And I still think Brent will do well and I think we'll be perfect.

[00:56:24] I hope so.

[00:56:25] I think we'll be perfectly fine.

[00:56:27] The SEC.

[00:56:28] I'm looking forward to it.

[00:56:29] I think you will, too.

[00:56:32] I mean, for me, the SEC fans and you guys haven't been in there long enough, so you don't know it.

[00:56:38] But they really feel like even their bottom feeders are so much better than everybody else.

[00:56:44] The SEC is literally and before Oklahoma and Texas came in, that's where it's Alabama, Georgia and everybody else.

[00:56:51] That's it.

[00:56:52] That's it.

[00:56:53] And y'all can sit there and talk to you.

[00:56:56] I can talk.

[00:56:57] There's like a thing or Vanderbilt really, really, really.

[00:57:04] Tennessee hasn't won anything big in years.

[00:57:07] They haven't had a 10 win season in years.

[00:57:10] Well, they may have two years ago, but even before that, I just I sit here and I look at the SEC and I do not see where Oklahoma is going to have a problem at all.

[00:57:21] Well, I think you know, you're good.

[00:57:25] Just go like this year real quick.

[00:57:26] This year and next year conference schedules the same.

[00:57:28] So this year are rogue games consists of Auburn.

[00:57:32] I ain't really scared of them.

[00:57:34] Oh, Miss.

[00:57:35] That could get interesting.

[00:57:37] Now, unless you that could get interesting.

[00:57:40] She's good.

[00:57:41] Missouri.

[00:57:42] Nah.

[00:57:43] And then neutral site with Texas.

[00:57:45] Well, Texas a lot of times they it's their year to beat us and they lose.

[00:57:48] So but you're used to it.

[00:57:50] Exactly.

[00:57:51] That's not like you Texas.

[00:57:52] I don't count.

[00:57:53] So yeah, you know the home games, Tennessee, South Carolina.

[00:57:58] Tennessee plays terrible on the right.

[00:58:00] Alabama is going to be interesting.

[00:58:03] Alabama.

[00:58:04] I think I'm missing.

[00:58:07] I think that's it.

[00:58:08] Alabama doesn't play terrible on the road.

[00:58:11] Tennessee does.

[00:58:13] So but honestly, go look at Tennessee schedule last year.

[00:58:18] I'm not insane.

[00:58:19] They ranked them so high and they beat nobody.

[00:58:23] They beat literally.

[00:58:25] Nobody.

[00:58:27] Nobody.

[00:58:28] Yeah, our home games, Tennessee, South Carolina, Alabama.

[00:58:34] So that was when when when the other one could be a toss up.

[00:58:38] Although I do not believe in Jalen Millrow at all.

[00:58:41] And what week do you play?

[00:58:43] Alabama.

[00:58:44] That's the second to last of the season.

[00:58:46] Oh, late November.

[00:58:48] And then the road games Auburn.

[00:58:50] That's the first SEC road game.

[00:58:52] Texas neutral side.

[00:58:53] I'm concerned about that.

[00:58:54] South Carolina.

[00:58:55] I mean, not South Carolina.

[00:58:57] Oh, miss that could Jackson darts a player.

[00:59:00] Missouri.

[00:59:01] Not so much concerned.

[00:59:02] LSU.

[00:59:03] They may be all injury prone beat up and everything else.

[00:59:06] That may not matter.

[00:59:07] Who knows?

[00:59:08] And maybe that'd be a death Valley night game.

[00:59:10] That'd be kind of cool to see.

[00:59:12] But I mean, and it's the same schedule this year is next.

[00:59:15] We just flip flop.

[00:59:16] I mean, his first two years could go really well.

[00:59:18] His first two years could be OK, cool.

[00:59:20] We in ourselves.

[00:59:21] We look our wounds.

[00:59:22] We move on or.

[00:59:23] Oh crap.

[00:59:24] This I think I think you'll beat Ole Miss.

[00:59:26] I think you'll beat Ole Miss.

[00:59:27] I think you'd be Tennessee.

[00:59:29] Auburn.

[00:59:30] Oh, God.

[00:59:31] I mean, I didn't I was thinking that was like I would put them in a power like.

[00:59:36] I put them like in a G5 conversation like the one you add on like at the end of the year.

[00:59:41] Auburn sucks.

[00:59:42] I don't know.

[00:59:43] I don't know.

[00:59:44] I don't get it.

[00:59:45] I don't get the Hugh Fries fascination.

[00:59:47] I don't at all.

[00:59:49] I think his schemes are terrible.

[00:59:51] I think his coaching is terrible and he's also not a great person.

[00:59:56] So I just know.

[00:59:58] Yeah, for all.

[00:59:59] I mean, and again, I have this issue with the way they treated Brian Harson.

[01:00:04] They made up this room.

[01:00:05] They made up this room.

[01:00:06] They made up this room.

[01:00:07] They made up this room.

[01:00:08] They made up this room.

[01:00:09] They made up this room.

[01:00:10] They made up this room.

[01:00:11] They made up this room.

[01:00:13] They made up this room.

[01:00:14] They made up this room.

[01:00:15] They made up this room.

[01:00:16] They got him fired.

[01:00:17] That wasn't true.

[01:00:18] And then they fired Brian Harson for cause on a rumor of an affair.

[01:00:22] Are you ready for this?

[01:00:24] And then hired Hugh Fries like you freezing.

[01:00:29] I have some baggage of his own.

[01:00:31] I mean, he got fired from Ole Miss for prostitutes on cell phones.

[01:00:34] OK, like I just I don't need this from Auburn fans.

[01:00:38] If you just wanted to fire him because he sucked fine.

[01:00:41] Why are you?

[01:00:42] What's that doing for you?

[01:00:44] Well, exactly.

[01:00:46] Like you couldn't get anybody better.

[01:00:48] I mean, you want to ruin.

[01:00:49] I mean, they ruined his life.

[01:00:50] His wife left him, I think.

[01:00:52] Brian Harson gets bad.

[01:00:55] It's it's just it's a gross thing to do.

[01:00:58] And so, yeah, Auburn deserves all the bad things that happen to them.

[01:01:02] And unfortunately, I was giggling at the fact that, you know, Alabama actually won in that fourth and forty four or whatever it was.

[01:01:10] I didn't know it was going to fuck my team over.

[01:01:12] But it's fine.

[01:01:14] I'm sitting here going, oh, ha ha ha.

[01:01:17] Auburn, you know, you usually get all this luck in the world and yet in this time.

[01:01:22] And that was karma.

[01:01:23] But then it came back to bite me.

[01:01:25] So no, I think Oklahoma this year, non-competitive schedule.

[01:01:29] I'm not scared of it at all.

[01:01:31] Temple Houston, Maine, Temple Houston, Maine.

[01:01:37] You know, I would like to fire if they fire Venables, which I don't think they will.

[01:01:43] I think it's going to have a good year.

[01:01:45] No, I don't think Dan Mullen is looked at enough.

[01:01:48] I love him as a coach.

[01:01:50] X is the nose.

[01:01:54] He's great.

[01:01:55] If he hires like a Tim Brewster or recruiter to go along with him, like somebody who is going to drop those bags and like recruit these kids.

[01:02:02] Dan Mullen can scheme up a game like nobody's business.

[01:02:07] And if white Norvell left for the state, I'd want Dan Mullen and a heartbeat.

[01:02:17] That'd be interesting name to keep an eye on, especially headed into next season.

[01:02:24] I love me some damn.

[01:02:26] I'm sorry.

[01:02:27] I just do.

[01:02:28] He's like partying up on Florida's dime, like in a pizza or something.

[01:02:32] He's posting it on Twitter and he's like, look at these chicks.

[01:02:37] Look at these chicks.

[01:02:38] And he's getting paid for Florida.

[01:02:40] So, of course, I love it.

[01:02:41] I love every minute of it.

[01:02:43] You could you guys could get the urban.

[01:02:46] But.

[01:02:51] But let's talk some Florida State Seminoles.

[01:02:53] Let's course schedule wise.

[01:02:56] It's it's.

[01:02:59] I think it works for Florida State.

[01:03:01] Yeah, oh, absolutely.

[01:03:02] I think they could easily run the table.

[01:03:04] I can honestly, and I'm not trying to be arrogant.

[01:03:09] I'm not trying to be this arrogant fan, but I honestly can't find a game that really scares me.

[01:03:16] I don't some people say SMU.

[01:03:21] I don't I'm not scared of Notre Dame.

[01:03:25] Lord have mercy.

[01:03:26] Well, I think Notre Dame means to start off potentially in the top 10.

[01:03:30] I think is outrageous.

[01:03:32] Well, that's usually what they are.

[01:03:34] Right.

[01:03:35] They always overank them and then they lose and then they still overrank them after they lose multiple types.

[01:03:42] Obviously, I know you don't have the inside inside inside inside scoop.

[01:03:46] But what in the world is going on with Florida State's first two games being conference?

[01:03:53] Well, OK, so it's because they agreed to do the Ireland game with Georgia Tech.

[01:04:02] Now, the ACC screwed them with adding Boston College right after that.

[01:04:07] So they scheduled the Georgia Tech game that was scheduled two years ago.

[01:04:13] The ACC conference just came out.

[01:04:16] So comfort schedule just came out.

[01:04:18] So they kind of got screwed.

[01:04:20] I don't really think of it as a screw job.

[01:04:23] I think the Georgia Tech game might be weird because of jet lag.

[01:04:28] But again, jet lag should not.

[01:04:31] If you lose, then we lose guys.

[01:04:35] I don't have any excuses for you.

[01:04:37] Those fuckers beat Miami because they couldn't kneel a ball.

[01:04:41] You need to beat their ass so bad that you can't.

[01:04:46] I don't want to hear about jet lag.

[01:04:47] I don't hear it.

[01:04:48] And then the next week is Boston College.

[01:04:51] If you can't be Boston College, I can't help you anymore.

[01:04:53] I cannot sit here and promote you anymore.

[01:04:55] I can't do it.

[01:04:56] Well, you look at the schedule, obviously, neutral site, Ireland, Georgia Tech.

[01:05:00] Boston College at home.

[01:05:01] Then they're off and they get Memphis again.

[01:05:04] Another team that should be another win.

[01:05:06] Then you guys play Cal for a conference game.

[01:05:12] It's weird saying conference game in the ACC.

[01:05:16] Easy piece of lemon.

[01:05:18] Now, this is all I got for you.

[01:05:20] Good luck.

[01:05:21] Then you guys go to Dallas and not for a good reason.

[01:05:23] You guys play SMU.

[01:05:24] That's not scary.

[01:05:27] It's not scary to me.

[01:05:28] Everybody else is scared by this.

[01:05:30] I'm not.

[01:05:31] I don't know why they have like, I mean, look, I'm not like denigrating their team,

[01:05:38] but like I just I've seen them play.

[01:05:41] I live in Memphis.

[01:05:43] You know, the AC and all these things, I've seen them a thousand one time.

[01:05:47] I saw him last year.

[01:05:50] I've seen Florida State's player sizes and I've seen SMU's player sizes.

[01:05:55] We are eating at different tables, guys is not going to be close.

[01:06:00] And honestly, I will tell you this.

[01:06:03] The Oklahoma game that Florida State came to Oklahoma, not when y'all came to

[01:06:08] Florida State, but it was the year before that we went to Oklahoma and got

[01:06:12] absolutely destroyed.

[01:06:13] Right.

[01:06:14] In 2011.

[01:06:15] Yeah.

[01:06:16] I mean, it was like we got absolutely destroyed.

[01:06:19] When I saw the size of the Oklahoma game, I was like, Oh, my God.

[01:06:24] The size of the Oklahoma players getting off the bus or whatever.

[01:06:28] Next to my Florida State beloved players, like I love you guys so much.

[01:06:33] But I was like, I should probably drink a lot before this game starts.

[01:06:40] I will say I went to that OU Florida State game back in I believe with

[01:06:44] 2011 might have been 2010.

[01:06:46] Norman or at Florida State.

[01:06:48] I think the first time I heard that was in a game, I mean, before I was

[01:06:53] playing with Norman and there was one fan, one fan that said that the

[01:06:59] beer suck them like.

[01:07:00] Love that you already wasted in the way.

[01:07:02] So apparently was NASA sucked that bad, but anyway.

[01:07:06] Yeah, I know.

[01:07:07] I went to the Florida State game.

[01:07:09] The year after I went to the Oklahoma versus Florida State game at

[01:07:13] Ports state. And that was the loudest I think I've ever heard.

[01:07:17] It was like we weren't even eating at the same like that was so different and I think that's what SMU is now

[01:07:23] SMU runs through the AAC

[01:07:27] Florida State is not a typical ACC team neither is Clemson and

[01:07:32] When you look at these times of players, it's different. It's just different and I think you know what I'm talking about

[01:07:42] They're not gonna succeed and neither is Cal in the ACC but to each its own

[01:07:47] I

[01:07:48] Think SMU will succeed in the ACC as after Clemson and Florida State lead

[01:07:55] Speaking of Clemson you guys play them right after SMU and then you guys are off and then at Duke at Miami

[01:08:02] North Carolina at Notre Dame then you're off again

[01:08:06] Charleston Southern and then Florida to wrap up the regular season

[01:08:11] Yeah, so

[01:08:13] Again find me a loss I can't I just

[01:08:18] You know Drake may has gone from North Carolina and Matt Brown is a plant from Florida State like

[01:08:26] Mike Norvell won three games his first year and one was North Carolina with background. I'm just saying

[01:08:32] Matt Brown really does I mean, you know, he was a coach at Florida State. He went to Florida State

[01:08:38] I think he's a plant. I don't think North Carolina is ever gonna beat Florida State in football

[01:08:43] Because it's just not gonna happen. So what's my next one? What's the next one?

[01:08:49] You wanna ask me about the North Carolina Miami is a given we're gonna be Miami

[01:08:54] and

[01:08:55] Any threats of the Catholic kids may be chained South Bend? No, I

[01:09:01] Mean, I'm sorry. I just don't I mean

[01:09:04] Show me show me the law like I just don't see it

[01:09:07] I saw Notre Dame played at the end of the year and

[01:09:10] Florida State's actually gonna be better this year than they were last year. They've got better playmakers

[01:09:14] I mean they did lose Keon Coleman. That is a huge loss

[01:09:19] But they what they gained was a bunch of slot receivers which DJ you actually uses very well

[01:09:25] And I think this is actually gonna be my scheme

[01:09:30] For the first time I think it's this perfect scheme

[01:09:35] DJ you is his perfect quarterback. I just again, I'm not saying they're going to win every game

[01:09:40] They probably won't but I as of right now with what I know

[01:09:44] Show me the laws because I mean I guess if I could say one I would say Clemson, but that's at home

[01:09:54] They're not losing a Duke they know lots of Duke so I just I don't know find it for me

[01:09:59] Show me I'll give you a loss

[01:10:02] Go for oh, I'll

[01:10:04] Will be one go for it. Let me know

[01:10:11] How does it sound to me? Oh, what is that Florida State?

[01:10:15] Miami's at Hard Rock Seminole Stadium, which we always went in

[01:10:21] Notre Dame is Notre Dame and

[01:10:25] Yeah, I North Carolina's worthy again, I mean these are all good teams and I'm not trying to criticize them but

[01:10:32] We have their number. I just don't I don't know. I'll be happy to be wrong. Well, I won't be happy to be wrong

[01:10:42] You know if it happens it happens

[01:10:45] but like I just can't call it right now because I just don't see it because

[01:10:49] None of those teams have given me that you know vibe

[01:10:54] You know Miami maybe with cam ward, but their coach is still Mario Cristobal and he's a quarterback killer

[01:11:00] So I just don't

[01:11:03] I'm not seeing it and

[01:11:05] Kim ward also want to go the NFL you really want to go ahead stated you want to go to college

[01:11:10] So I mean he got stuck with Miami and that's fine. That's you know

[01:11:15] Just I prefer DJ you because

[01:11:19] The only school he wanted to go to was Florida State and that just

[01:11:23] That tells me something it really does

[01:11:27] speaking of Florida State

[01:11:30] What should we expect I'll let you kind of answer this one wholeheartedly on this one

[01:11:36] what should we expect as

[01:11:39] outsiders if you will for the state this year and

[01:11:43] their quest to repeat in the ACC

[01:11:47] Well, I mean I think anyone they see see again

[01:11:51] I think

[01:11:54] because again, I'm just not seeing the I

[01:11:58] I

[01:11:59] Think Kate Klubnik Clemson is fine

[01:12:02] But Davos still employs his brother-in-law and like his cousin on his staff

[01:12:06] And it's just not going well, and he won't use the portal. I

[01:12:10] Miami is Miami and

[01:12:14] North Carolina lost Drake me. I just I think Florida State wins the ACC

[01:12:18] I don't know. I mean, I know they make I think they played the playoffs. I just need I

[01:12:24] Don't know I

[01:12:26] Don't know. I'm not saying they win a championship, but I think they make the playoffs. Yes

[01:12:30] I'm gonna butcher his last name so that's what I'm not gonna say it is DJ gonna be that impact player better than it

[01:12:36] Was a year ago Jordan Travis

[01:12:39] Is it's we I'm gonna like yeah, I've had to learn it I've learned it. Yeah

[01:12:47] Yes, I think they're different players though, I think they're different players

[01:12:52] Jordan I

[01:12:54] Am NOT taking anything away from him

[01:12:58] DJ is a different player

[01:13:00] He's obviously bigger. He's obviously

[01:13:04] A little bit more stout. He's a little bit

[01:13:08] I don't know what kind of runner he's gonna be under Mike's

[01:13:15] You know system but with with Mike Morvell, I think DJ is

[01:13:20] The actual quarterback that fits him. Oh, with the system he runs

[01:13:25] So DJ throws probably a cleaner ball

[01:13:31] But DJ does have a problem seeing ghosts and I'm not trying to be biased I'm so I'm not gonna be biased here

[01:13:38] I do think DJ sees ghosts, but I think that happened at Clemson

[01:13:43] And he got better at Oregon State. He really did so I think

[01:13:48] With all the reports I'm hearing he's actually

[01:13:52] Done about a hundred times better than they thought he would be at this point. Yeah, very nice

[01:13:58] So I love DJ I think he's gonna be good. I

[01:14:02] You know, we'll see we'll see

[01:14:06] Who's gonna be I know you guys lost some talent in receiving core

[01:14:11] Who's gonna be that go to for DJ this year?

[01:14:14] Malik Benson

[01:14:18] That's what I I mean

[01:14:20] That's my thoughts

[01:14:24] Jalen Lucas is gonna be a surprise for for say

[01:14:29] Okay, I think this is a kid that is so fast. He's gonna be taking

[01:14:35] You know, he's gonna do pump returns kickoff returns all these things, but he's also a slot receiver. That is like

[01:14:43] that

[01:14:44] He is so quick

[01:14:46] It's gonna be fun

[01:14:48] Let's see how it goes I think Jalen Lucas is gonna be a big surprise for people

[01:14:53] If you remember Kermit Whitfield who played for Florida State, that's who Jalen Lucas reminds me of

[01:15:01] so fast so quick it's gonna be a surprise and

[01:15:06] You know, I have my own personal favorite who's the defensive back

[01:15:11] Ricky Knight, I love you. I keep talking about you all the time. This kid is so good

[01:15:16] Only a three-star I've never seen anything like this. This kid is so good. I

[01:15:22] Just I don't know. I'm so excited to have him on campus and um

[01:15:27] Let me think who else the wide receivers. Mmm, you know

[01:15:33] Hakeem Williams obviously Hakeem Williams is gonna be amazing

[01:15:39] I think it's gonna be Malik Benson and Hakeem Williams over your one two

[01:15:43] That's what I think

[01:15:44] defense obviously best in the country a year ago

[01:15:48] What should we should we see an encore presentation or they're gonna be kind of?

[01:15:53] Rebuilding what they did from a year ago

[01:15:56] I don't think they're gonna be rebuilding because they had a lot of players who weren't eligible

[01:16:01] Thanks to the NCAA who allowed North Carolina players to play

[01:16:05] So we're gonna continue on that one. Um, no, they're gonna be playing we got Marvin Jones, Jr

[01:16:12] Marvin Jones

[01:16:15] Jr. Or a little we've got

[01:16:20] Mmm. Oh my god. I can't Darryl Jackson

[01:16:23] I honestly cannot wait for this defense to get on the field because when I went to the spring game that defense

[01:16:29] Oh my lord, how big are they like I don't

[01:16:35] Fit on above I don't know

[01:16:38] but like I

[01:16:40] Don't know. I'm just I am excited about it. I think the defense is gonna be good. I think

[01:16:46] I'm not saying they're definitely gonna win the ACC

[01:16:50] I just haven't seen a team that shows me that they're gonna be better, right?

[01:16:55] And yes, that's after you North Carolina State fans

[01:17:01] Y'all's trophy case is as empty as Miami says sirs

[01:17:08] Hey, you know, sorry, you know, I'm a jerk. I'm just a troll. That's fine. It's it's okay

[01:17:14] I'm the same way towards towards Oklahoma State. They can they take the Bellum wins as if it was national championships

[01:17:21] Oh my god, can you imagine that being the biggest thing in your life? Yeah, it's it's mine

[01:17:28] Like guys I have like a natural Jamie and Chip sweatshirt that I can wear

[01:17:35] Yeah, they're they're claim to fame is sending Lincoln Riley pack and I think Lincoln Riley was packing regardless so

[01:17:41] I agree with you on that. Yeah, he blew the game if you can't tell

[01:17:46] So, oh I agree with you on that

[01:17:49] but as we wrap up the show, I might give you

[01:17:54] What I would call

[01:17:57] Why should I call this?

[01:17:59] the four questions

[01:18:02] Of something I don't know my boys give you four questions. Nothing too hard. Nothing too simple

[01:18:07] But if there was one university that you would love to see Florida State do a home and away series or

[01:18:15] Play consistently every year. What's that one school?

[01:18:18] Michigan

[01:18:20] I'm hearing that a lot from everybody that keeps saying that

[01:18:23] Um, I see this for vain reasons because the Michigan colors look really good on my skin

[01:18:29] Would you transfer from the Florida State would you in the turn? Would you enter the transfer portal to go to Michigan? No

[01:18:38] No, would you live in Michigan now

[01:18:42] Not a question but just kind of curious which good fans out there

[01:18:45] That's trying to that may try to recruit you to the to the Ann Arbor craziness

[01:18:50] No, I do. I just have a lot of Michigan like friends that are fans. So I you know, I think that would be fun

[01:18:58] if you were the commissioner

[01:19:01] if you were if you were the

[01:19:04] Yeah, that's good commissioner

[01:19:06] Commissioner and

[01:19:09] No, I won't make no sense because why would you be commissioner if you're the president of the university

[01:19:14] That makes the final decision of where Florida State is going

[01:19:18] What conference is all the conference? Well, except for the pack to they don't count

[01:19:24] What conference are you taking Florida State to if you even if you have man

[01:19:30] You ain't gonna say you're not gonna go to like the big 12 and

[01:19:35] No, you guys could literally run win that thing every year

[01:19:39] Well, we did learn the agency for years and we got treated like redheaded stepchild. So we're good

[01:19:44] Let's go to the big ten to make some money

[01:19:47] Give me that money, honey. That's what I want

[01:19:49] If if in fact the Florida I would say Ohio State if it's like Florida State does go to the big ten

[01:19:56] I'll say has no questions. I'm kind of curious. How well do you think Florida State will do? I

[01:20:01] Think I'll do pretty well. I think they will I think it'll be Michigan Ohio State and for sake that's what I think

[01:20:09] Not USC with Lincoln Riley

[01:20:11] No

[01:20:13] Did they learn to play defense or no not yet. Okay, they're trying from what I hear

[01:20:20] Well, good luck trying I don't think that's ever been important to him so yeah Florida State will feast on USC

[01:20:29] 100%

[01:20:30] Last one and we'll wrap this up

[01:20:34] Bobby Bowden of course

[01:20:36] Legacy upon legacy of Florida State and made a huge impact in the college football realm

[01:20:43] Obviously I gave people say well, that's a biased standpoint, but it is what it is

[01:20:47] Where would you where does Bobby fit when it comes to all-time coaches?

[01:20:52] In college football correct and as a whole not so much from a winning standpoint just the impact he made on college football

[01:20:58] I think number one

[01:21:01] That's where I would rank them. I I'm sorry

[01:21:04] I don't know. I mean, yes, Nick Saban won a lot but Nick Saban wasn't liked Bobby Bowden was liked

[01:21:12] by

[01:21:13] Rivals he was liked by rebel fans. He was

[01:21:16] beloved he I

[01:21:18] Don't know there was something that's missing in lives when he left this world and I think

[01:21:26] And not just that like when he left college football, I think he was a classy coach

[01:21:30] I think he won a lot of games and I think he was funny and I think he brought a program

[01:21:38] like Florida State was like a

[01:21:41] Freaking beast

[01:21:43] Yeah, like I mean they played anybody anywhere anytime. They went to Ohio State. They went to Michigan

[01:21:49] Nobody would do home and homes with them Bobby Bowden did that he started that so for me

[01:21:55] That's why he's number one. He started the

[01:21:58] Let's stop being wusses. Let's just play and like other teams were like well

[01:22:03] We're not gonna give you home and homes and was like cool

[01:22:05] Come to you and beat you and that's what he did and that's what he did multiple times

[01:22:10] So for me Bobby Bowden, I get it seems bias for me to say number one

[01:22:15] But because of the way he changed the game for me

[01:22:20] That's kind of why he's number one and he never left. He was a coach for 40 years

[01:22:25] He got courted by multiple schools including Alabama guys including Alabama

[01:22:31] So did Mike Norville by the way, but like said no and

[01:22:36] It's it's such a weird time that we're in now when that was the norm

[01:22:43] You know and and for me Bobby was just I don't know if anybody else could put another college coach above him

[01:22:50] I can't find him. I really can't maybe bear Brian the bear Brian had his own issues

[01:22:56] I just I think for me and the whole lifetime of college football

[01:23:00] It's Bobby Bowden and I I don't even think it's close

[01:23:04] You might I don't know what other coach can you but like I don't know

[01:23:09] I don't know that changed the game the way he did. I don't know

[01:23:14] well, I mean and

[01:23:15] I've definitely on board with what you're saying because I mean you look at the different I gave to us with different times

[01:23:21] The game and I completely get that I respect that however

[01:23:25] like you said

[01:23:28] Bear Bryant

[01:23:30] From his days at Texas, Santa he got himself in a lot of stuff that nowadays would get him

[01:23:38] Fired but he'd be canceled. He'll be

[01:23:42] Everything else and in between

[01:23:46] Nick

[01:23:47] And I'm not taking what he did away from Alabama. Yeah, he's he he took that program back to dominance

[01:23:55] but

[01:23:57] Nobody really liked him. That's the thing for me

[01:24:00] It's like Bobby was so much like even rivals left him

[01:24:04] You know like Bobby was best friends with Steve Spurrier and his wife like it's it's weird to me

[01:24:10] And so for me Bobby, I know again. I know it's on bias guys. I see it

[01:24:17] I got Florida State here

[01:24:20] But like for me

[01:24:25] Maybe Bob Stoops would be number two for me because he's well-liked

[01:24:30] He is respected. He changed the game. He won championships and he left on his own terms and that's respectful

[01:24:38] I

[01:24:40] Would put probably Steve Spurrier number three. Oh easily

[01:24:46] Mm-hmm easily

[01:24:49] And so I just don't think we're ever gonna see these types of coaches again like we won't well

[01:24:55] now there's too much money number one the NIL and the transfer polls change and everything and

[01:25:01] Now it's just working I Lincoln where can I go to get the best deal regardless if it's the best fit for me or not

[01:25:08] we're just gonna bow out and and

[01:25:11] We're just gonna go on to the next one and go on to the next and so on and so forth

[01:25:18] You know, I think probably not top five

[01:25:20] I think top ten would you consider Lloyd Carr at Michigan being one?

[01:25:26] Potentially even though app state. Yeah, I probably could I really could I really could but he didn't want a championship though, did he?

[01:25:32] I mean, I'm not saying you have to win a championship. I'm really not but

[01:25:41] He really didn't and lost upstate, but I did like Lloyd Lloyd Carr. I

[01:25:48] Um, I

[01:25:50] Don't even put Davao in the top 20 guys and I know this sounds crazy I

[01:25:57] Know it sounds crazy. He's not allowed to call plays. He's not he's really not

[01:26:03] Like he almost got fired three years after he was hired and the only reason he stayed is cuz he hired Brett Bennebos

[01:26:10] Jeff Scott and

[01:26:12] That's it

[01:26:13] That's it

[01:26:15] so

[01:26:17] No, it's so hard for Urban Meyer I would put up there with a college coach

[01:26:21] I would as much as I just like him

[01:26:26] You know, I mean maybe I don't have as much I don't know I I think urban is up there

[01:26:33] I

[01:26:34] Don't know. What are your thoughts? Who's your number one? Is it Bobby really? Well, I would say Bobby be one

[01:26:40] I mean, I don't know

[01:26:42] Just from a spectrum first of all you're over 40 plus years

[01:26:48] number one to

[01:26:50] You know people don't really go behind the scenes, you know

[01:26:55] You know he helped out the University of Marshall when they have the

[01:27:00] Incident he played a huge impact on that program just

[01:27:04] Like one of my favorite movies

[01:27:07] Where'd it gone, you know that just in itself and he you know, he was consistent with winning and I get

[01:27:13] Back in those days teams weren't what they are now

[01:27:15] But you still won what you know Barry Switzer again won, but Wilkinson, Oklahoma won but

[01:27:22] You know different times errors

[01:27:27] You know, here's here's one guy you would contest but my opinion because of what took place and the cover-up

[01:27:34] I think you just have to eliminate him completely from any rankings is Joe Paul. I

[01:27:41] Think I think if it had Joe Paul not covered up had he handled the situation

[01:27:47] You could probably contest you could probably put one a 1b 1 2 flip-flop

[01:27:53] However, you want to look at that Joe Paul though didn't win much though. That's another thing but

[01:27:58] Joe Paul was consistent with for the most part

[01:28:01] however

[01:28:03] because of Sandusky and because he knew in the

[01:28:08] Years that he'd known I'm sorry and what took place Joe Paul my opinion

[01:28:15] me

[01:28:16] He's to me nothing to college football

[01:28:19] They had every right to take his statue down and I think in my opinion if he hasn't already his name should be out

[01:28:25] of the books

[01:28:26] Here's the thing that I have with this

[01:28:29] Joe pause wins got given back to him, but Bobby's him. Yep

[01:28:33] Bobby's and

[01:28:35] That was a freaking a music program that nobody knew anything about that. He self reported when he found out

[01:28:43] Joe Paul covers up sexual abuse over boys

[01:28:47] And you're like, let's give him his wins back Bobby. Sorry, you're dead. So we're good

[01:28:52] Right. Are you joking with me right now?

[01:28:55] Bobby should be the winningest coach in college football history right now, but he's not and

[01:29:01] That's wrong

[01:29:02] And I mean, I'm sorry and it's not really I

[01:29:06] Don't know it's wrong for them to give Joe plus back and I'm not trying to throw dirt on a poor dead man

[01:29:12] Right. I'm really not

[01:29:14] but covering up sexual

[01:29:18] Assaults on young children is way worse than self reporting a fake music class. I'm sorry

[01:29:25] I don't I don't have the time for this

[01:29:27] Yeah, no exactly

[01:29:29] I'm not gonna talk about it pisses me off even till this day to almost what 10 20 years now down the road

[01:29:34] But I mean, yeah, you can't even compare. I

[01:29:39] Mean you can't compare that to that. I mean just so in my

[01:29:44] Bobby especially you can throw in Steve Spurrier. I think bear brah

[01:29:47] I agree. I think you could throw bear Brian not as number one, but top five

[01:29:52] you can probably throw in bear Bryant, but

[01:29:56] He did some shit

[01:29:58] I mean bear Brian was a great guy

[01:30:03] I think Bob we've heard in the stoops

[01:30:06] I love Bob soups. I do I think you can definitely throw him top five just because I mentioned stay at one program

[01:30:14] He left on his own terms, even though

[01:30:16] His book any is a winner

[01:30:18] But and he won he he literally took his program that was flat out in the grave

[01:30:23] And revived it with a bunch of players that

[01:30:27] They just play that was all they did

[01:30:30] So, you know, you definitely got throw and he was consistent

[01:30:34] I mean he had never had a losing season one more big 12 championships than the whole other 11 teams did combined

[01:30:42] so

[01:30:42] You know it was impressive for what he did when his coach of course, I know all time at Oklahoma. So

[01:30:48] I think you throw him in there

[01:30:51] Um

[01:30:52] Maybe what one two three you could probably throw in Bobby Joe Paul's out bear Bryant Steve

[01:31:00] Bob who be my last one. Oh

[01:31:03] I don't know let's throw in

[01:31:06] And I guess you can throw a Nick but guys are recruiting. I still believe there's too much money

[01:31:10] He was just given like such a Ferrari. I don't know. I don't know. Let's throw in Kirby smart

[01:31:16] I think Kirby smart should be thrown. Yeah, you can't right at this point

[01:31:19] Yeah, because Kirby got handed, you know, or maybe we get the well Mark Rick couldn't win anything of it

[01:31:26] No, we're a guy. He was a great guy. He can never give up with the hump. That's what guy

[01:31:31] I

[01:31:33] Mean God he couldn't even beat Florida State at Miami. I mean

[01:31:38] I'm trying to get TV on that game and then we ended up winning it. I'm trying to think real quick. Oh

[01:31:44] Boy who would

[01:31:46] down the

[01:31:49] Mac Brown, you know, I don't think Mac Brown. I do like Mike Brown. I don't think he's top 20

[01:31:55] I'm not taking a shit. Yeah now

[01:31:57] He did he had one good year at Texas and that's because

[01:32:03] And you can't say anything about North Carolina because he loses games constantly um

[01:32:09] God I don't know. Oh, what's his name? That was the coach at USC. That's at the Seahawks

[01:32:17] What's his name Pete Carroll? Yeah

[01:32:21] Maybe you find the USC I guess

[01:32:27] Yeah

[01:32:29] Or um, oh

[01:32:33] My smiles one of my favorites

[01:32:36] You know, that's you

[01:32:38] That's

[01:32:39] Yeah, he is one of my I mean again. I love chaos. I'm an anarchist at heart

[01:32:45] Less miles eating, you know grass and like going to Michigan and then not going to Michigan

[01:32:51] I love every minute of it. Please bring it on more of it. I need a reality show. Thank you

[01:32:56] What they they need he needs to go somewhere small just you know, I don't know if he's in the mood for coaching anymore

[01:33:02] But do some small university. I don't care who it is. Can I saw state? I don't care

[01:33:08] Yeah, I just I really can't think of any other big-time coaches

[01:33:12] That have won multiple champions other than maybe Davos winning

[01:33:15] But I don't even I don't consider him there because he can't call plays

[01:33:20] You know, well he he's a CEO

[01:33:24] Yeah, he's starting to be exposed

[01:33:26] He's starting to you know and that started the first year under when Britt took over, Oklahoma

[01:33:32] that his defense is

[01:33:35] Not what it was well hire your cousin I'll do that, you know, you're here hired ballboy

[01:33:45] Hell he hired his other like his brother in law or someone else's

[01:33:51] Now I'll think of another one but in the meantime

[01:33:54] Jenny it was fun. I enjoyed it. Thank you. Oh, this is so fun. Thank you for having me
