[00:00:59] Doing alright? How about yourself?
[00:01:01] Can't complain. How you been? Sean? You wanna unmute yourself?
[00:01:07] Hi, hi.
[00:01:08] How you been? Yes sir?
[00:01:11] Good.
[00:01:11] Glad we could all get together for this.
[00:01:15] We're just waiting on one more person.
[00:01:18] Alright.
[00:01:19] Fun topic, fun topic. As long as the fun comes across in the recording, I'm cool.
[00:01:25] Exactly, yeah. I mean that's also important for us as well, you know, like we've been podcasting now I think for about two or three years.
[00:01:32] Of course, we did a different podcast before we started our current one.
[00:01:36] Oh nice.
[00:01:36] And our whole thing was like, yeah, we just wanted to make sure it was fun for all of us, otherwise, you know, it's a point.
[00:01:45] Right.
[00:01:45] Yeah, right. Don't make it be a second or third job.
[00:01:48] Exactly.
[00:01:48] My good buddy Oreo is also back here in the studio. He's got plenty of video game observations as well. How you been?
[00:01:58] Good. Hello.
[00:01:59] And no, he is not an Oreo cookie. That's just his nickname.
[00:02:03] Oh, what a shame. What a shame.
[00:02:06] Although I am half and half, so fuck it.
[00:02:10] Close enough. Close enough.
[00:02:11] Close enough, yep.
[00:02:12] Part black, part white, get it?
[00:02:16] Part German, part Irish.
[00:02:18] I'm a little cool with mixed heritage.
[00:02:22] You just go to Cracker Barrel. Shut up.
[00:02:29] Yeah, I did for a while actually.
[00:02:34] Love it.
[00:02:34] I've seen you guys promote some videos on Instagram, so that's kind of how we came down. That's how I got aware of you.
[00:02:40] And here we just try to always find a theme and just do enough recording ahead of time to where it all matches up.
[00:02:46] What would you say you guys do in terms of recording and scheduling?
[00:02:51] This is funny how it takes up so much time, just the simplest funny 20 minutes.
[00:02:57] So maybe I'll just talk a little bit about the show, just to give you an idea.
[00:03:02] So the idea behind the gameplay of this podcast is where, so it's four of us actually.
[00:03:06] Each of us picks one game per month that the rest of us haven't really played or that none of us have played.
[00:03:15] And then we play through that game for the month and then kind of just talk about it for the episode.
[00:03:21] So we do it monthly as well.
[00:03:24] Um, yeah, well, we also have restrictions as well.
[00:03:28] Like, you know, we don't try to make it like within 20 hours.
[00:03:30] We try not to do anything too long and mostly we end up being in.
[00:03:35] What version I had, what update.
[00:03:36] Yeah.
[00:03:37] Yeah.
[00:03:38] Well, also they're all PC games.
[00:03:40] Although I tend to play most of mine on Xbox, so.
[00:03:43] Me too.
[00:03:45] Hey.
[00:03:47] So that's who was kicking Oreo's butt at Halo.
[00:03:50] Knew it!
[00:03:53] I knew that's who took down that game.
[00:03:55] Actually, one of our other hosts is really, he's the real Halo fan.
[00:03:59] Me not so much.
[00:04:00] I end up playing a lot of different other games, but he's a big Halo guy.
[00:04:04] The different adaptations that are coming out.
[00:04:06] Like, you'll see people like you can't please everybody.
[00:04:09] Like for instance, Halo, Last of Us, Fallout and even Sonic, you know, are all big hits.
[00:04:15] And yet everyone's still get some nitpicks.
[00:04:17] And it's like, oh, good grief.
[00:04:18] It wouldn't, if you added that, it wouldn't work as a movie period.
[00:04:23] Yeah.
[00:04:23] I mean.
[00:04:24] It's great for a game, but it wouldn't be.
[00:04:26] It came close in 2007 with Halo, but that fell through because, let's see, Peter Jackson was attached.
[00:04:35] Yeah.
[00:04:35] And somebody else.
[00:04:36] Neil Blancom.
[00:04:37] Yeah.
[00:04:37] That's it.
[00:04:38] Neil and Peter.
[00:04:38] That would have been a great combination.
[00:04:40] I saw the test video.
[00:04:42] Sorry.
[00:04:43] Yeah, it was good.
[00:04:44] And it's a shame that it fell through because Universal pulled funding at the last minute.
[00:04:51] I'm like, what?
[00:04:53] And it was a $250 million budget they were given.
[00:04:56] That would have been workable.
[00:04:58] Yeah.
[00:04:58] Yeah.
[00:04:58] It's not hard.
[00:04:59] It's not short change.
[00:05:01] Sorry, but Dill, you were going to say something.
[00:05:02] It's a shame because like this year, I think we've had some pretty good adaptations, right?
[00:05:06] When it comes to like Fallout and what was the other good one?
[00:05:10] I saw some people like trolling Fallout and then you can tell it's troll because then they end it with.
[00:05:15] I haven't even seen it yet.
[00:05:17] I'm like.
[00:05:17] Yeah.
[00:05:18] I mean, that's usually the case, right?
[00:05:20] Like people, people online nowadays just troll troll troll.
[00:05:23] Oh, have you actually played it?
[00:05:26] Watched it?
[00:05:26] It's pretty hard to hate something if you don't know why.
[00:05:29] Just saying.
[00:05:31] That's like the trailer is not a media cycle, man.
[00:05:34] That's what it is nowadays.
[00:05:37] Well, the last of the trio is here.
[00:05:39] Akshan.
[00:05:41] Nice to meet you.
[00:05:41] Nice to meet you.
[00:05:43] So, yeah, we were just introducing the video playlist.
[00:05:47] And no, they don't do music videos.
[00:05:50] That's just the MTV countdown is up.
[00:05:55] Yeah.
[00:05:56] Oh boy.
[00:05:57] Just as a, I'll let you each have your moment in the sun.
[00:06:02] This was fun to schedule.
[00:06:03] I really, I really mean it.
[00:06:04] Like it was just like, okay, but yeah, that game's kind of out of my league, you know?
[00:06:08] And it's so funny.
[00:06:09] I had someone met.
[00:06:10] I was hoping collateral gaming find some guests and they were mentioned like some very recent stuff.
[00:06:16] I'm like, I'm sorry.
[00:06:17] I don't even have a console for that.
[00:06:18] I have not played that one.
[00:06:20] I'm sorry.
[00:06:20] I'm out of your league.
[00:06:21] You can still watch the game movie.
[00:06:23] I could watch the game movie, but I can't.
[00:06:26] I have not been able to sit down for five hours and engage in any of it and tell you how the controls or story or characters are.
[00:06:34] And so I was looking for some other people who were more read up on it and some were kind of my same boat.
[00:06:40] They're like, I could do crash team racing.
[00:06:42] I could do grand theft auto.
[00:06:43] I can't do anything.
[00:06:47] What is that?
[00:06:48] I've never heard of it.
[00:06:49] How did you kind of just like relate to gaming?
[00:06:54] Like, why did you find, hey, this is worthy of my time, my efforts, my fun money?
[00:06:59] Why is this part of your world?
[00:07:01] You know, maybe Sashan, do you guys want to?
[00:07:05] Yeah.
[00:07:05] Yeah.
[00:07:06] I'm trying to think.
[00:07:08] Don't be shocked.
[00:07:08] It's a good question.
[00:07:12] By the way, you can hear me.
[00:07:13] Yes.
[00:07:13] Yes.
[00:07:14] Yeah.
[00:07:15] I love it.
[00:07:17] Thank you.
[00:07:18] Thank you.
[00:07:18] Thank my father for the genes.
[00:07:22] I think just early days, just like playing on the on the Wii when it came out and I was a kid.
[00:07:29] Oh, that was my first introduction to games.
[00:07:33] How many TVs did you total by forgetting to put the strap on?
[00:07:38] Oh, not really TVs, more remotes that went flying into the air.
[00:07:42] There's no one.
[00:07:43] Okay.
[00:07:44] But no TVs were compromised by.
[00:07:47] Thankfully, no.
[00:07:48] Thankfully, no.
[00:07:49] We still will do Wii bowling once in a while.
[00:07:51] And it's just like, good grief.
[00:07:52] How are you throwing that?
[00:07:57] Part of that actual bowling.
[00:07:59] Oh, right.
[00:08:03] All the lanes are closed off.
[00:08:06] Yeah.
[00:08:06] And then Mario Kart and stuff like that.
[00:08:10] Oh my God.
[00:08:11] I play that still.
[00:08:13] That's great.
[00:08:14] No, it's wonderful.
[00:08:15] Nice.
[00:08:17] I was by we were, but it's a guy.
[00:08:19] I'll do hot shots golf.
[00:08:21] I'll do all kinds of things.
[00:08:22] It's funny.
[00:08:23] Much like actual golf, pool table or even bowling.
[00:08:27] I.
[00:08:28] I rarely win, but it's not about that.
[00:08:30] It's about just kind of just the competition, the fun of it, you know?
[00:08:34] Yeah.
[00:08:35] Yeah.
[00:08:36] Very much so.
[00:08:36] Without Phil, once you get a killing streak going, it's impossible not to have a big head,
[00:08:42] a bigger ego.
[00:08:43] And then you get walloped at the very last minute and you're like, ah, come on.
[00:08:54] So yeah, a fun topic here tonight.
[00:08:57] I'll.
[00:08:58] Uh, we were thinking, yeah, let's, let's have a top 100 video game characters.
[00:09:05] Yeah.
[00:09:06] I was just like, uh, this just, this was spoken speaking to our soul.
[00:09:13] I started us off.
[00:09:15] So basically everybody just has 30 left to do or 29 at least.
[00:09:23] You're, you're, you're in good company.
[00:09:24] So I, I'll list off these characters.
[00:09:27] And if you don't think there were a worthy video game character, we can replace them.
[00:09:31] We'll take a vote.
[00:09:33] Um, and this is in no specific order because otherwise we would be here all day.
[00:09:37] Come on.
[00:09:38] I never understand placement.
[00:09:40] I'm like, as long as the character is on a list, does it really matter?
[00:09:43] Um, uh, sorry, before we, before we start with the list, just want to check a couple of
[00:09:50] things.
[00:09:51] Um, how, how are we going to do this list?
[00:09:53] Like how, how is this going to, how is this going to work for us?
[00:09:56] Yeah.
[00:09:57] What's the criteria for the list?
[00:09:59] So just, they happen to be in a, in a video game at one point or another.
[00:10:07] All right.
[00:10:07] It can be one off or it can be something, you know, it just, all I ask is it be an
[00:10:11] actual video game, not something in your mind.
[00:10:15] Yeah.
[00:10:17] It can be the most infamous world.
[00:10:19] If you think that character is just, is at least a six or seven out of 10 and worthy
[00:10:25] of your list, just put them on.
[00:10:28] All right.
[00:10:29] Okay.
[00:10:29] All right.
[00:10:29] I've been pasting over the notes and, uh, what I find just so fun about just these characters
[00:10:37] is everything from what they can do to get to the end of the tunnel to, uh, just, uh,
[00:10:47] uh, their, their trash talk mixed in with their unusual heroic nature.
[00:10:57] And when it gets to, uh, trying to decide, uh, just what makes a compelling video game character,
[00:11:06] I pretty much put a lot of it, just you like them.
[00:11:10] You want to play as them.
[00:11:11] You, you look forward to taking out the game each and every time and beating it on a different
[00:11:18] difficulty as said character.
[00:11:20] Um, true story.
[00:11:23] So starting off, I decided to put Ratchet and Clank of the titular game series at the same
[00:11:28] time.
[00:11:28] You know, I just, you see the movie.
[00:11:31] I did.
[00:11:32] I'm not.
[00:11:33] Uh, it was by the same developers, but it.
[00:11:37] I didn't even know there was a movie.
[00:11:39] Yeah.
[00:11:40] It wasn't very well advertised at all.
[00:11:42] I was just like, really?
[00:11:45] Uh, but yeah, my brother, it was like 2016 or something like that.
[00:11:51] And it was one of those, like, oh yeah.
[00:11:54] And that did come out.
[00:11:58] I had some friends who were even more unimpressed and was like, Hey, you know, I don't need it
[00:12:03] to go as the best of all time.
[00:12:04] I just need them to get the concept right.
[00:12:06] I don't want it to be, you know, like someone dresses up in a awful.
[00:12:10] Imagine if it had been live action, you know, you just wouldn't have unconvincing CGI
[00:12:16] and.
[00:12:18] No, you wouldn't have.
[00:12:19] Someone with fake reals.
[00:12:20] And shit.
[00:12:21] I just knew you were going to go there.
[00:12:24] Well, I mean, it's an, it's an easy costume to make.
[00:12:27] We're not safe for work podcast, by the way.
[00:12:29] So put the kiddies to bed for those listening.
[00:12:32] Oh yeah.
[00:12:34] It's kind of impossible.
[00:12:35] We're also, we're also.
[00:12:37] I know.
[00:12:38] I'm just covering my bases here.
[00:12:41] Um, but.
[00:12:44] Sylvester Stallone.
[00:12:45] Sorry.
[00:12:49] Sylvester Stallone is in the Ratchet and Clank movie?
[00:12:51] He is.
[00:12:52] That's why I'm shocked.
[00:12:53] Oh, what?
[00:12:55] Does he play Ratchet or Clank?
[00:12:58] Lieutenant Victor Von Ion.
[00:13:01] Okay.
[00:13:02] I mean.
[00:13:02] Oh yeah, that's right.
[00:13:03] So do you guys like these characters at all or overrated?
[00:13:09] I've played, I've played only one of the games.
[00:13:13] I think I played size matters and I mean, they're definitely.
[00:13:17] I.
[00:13:18] Yeah.
[00:13:18] It's definitely.
[00:13:19] Icing blowing up giant robots with just a.
[00:13:23] A rat.
[00:13:24] A wrench, you know, and just.
[00:13:26] Returns to you.
[00:13:28] Yeah.
[00:13:28] And the robot.
[00:13:29] Yeah.
[00:13:29] Does the.
[00:13:30] He had the right around amount of wit.
[00:13:34] As well as he's trying to get back to where he came from,
[00:13:37] figure out the scientists.
[00:13:39] And.
[00:13:41] I just.
[00:13:43] The other stuff involving just like.
[00:13:46] All the other smugglers and everything and.
[00:13:48] Jumping over lava.
[00:13:50] And.
[00:13:51] Giant.
[00:13:52] It was, you know, I'm surprised they never made a Saturday morning cartoon
[00:13:55] of it, but yeah, those are my next two.
[00:13:57] Another one by insomniac games.
[00:13:59] Jack and Daxter.
[00:14:01] Not a place.
[00:14:02] I remember them.
[00:14:03] I never played it as much, but I did do a lot of their racing games.
[00:14:06] And.
[00:14:07] If there's anything.
[00:14:09] I would.
[00:14:10] Easily tie the Sony PlayStation family up there with like the cartoon
[00:14:13] network greats.
[00:14:14] I just loved.
[00:14:15] How they.
[00:14:17] Complimented each other.
[00:14:18] Like.
[00:14:19] That's true.
[00:14:19] Each other in that whole universe.
[00:14:22] Next up.
[00:14:23] At number five.
[00:14:24] Sorry.
[00:14:25] No, it's just interesting.
[00:14:27] Cause like, especially now.
[00:14:28] Nowadays, I think PlayStation nostalgia is very hype with.
[00:14:32] Astro bot.
[00:14:33] Right?
[00:14:33] Like a lot of people.
[00:14:34] Yeah.
[00:14:35] I'm not really.
[00:14:36] I would have to ask some other cousins who are on steam more often.
[00:14:40] What their takeaway is how they're remastering some of the games and.
[00:14:43] Whether there's even an audience for it still.
[00:14:46] But yeah, same kind of deal.
[00:14:48] Like Jack was the straight man.
[00:14:49] Daxter was the wacky, you know, weasel type creature.
[00:14:52] And they just jumped around, got into Indiana Jones type adventure.
[00:14:56] And.
[00:14:58] While.
[00:14:59] Doing a mixture of climbing and.
[00:15:02] Just the whole sci-fi fantasy world was very fun.
[00:15:05] So.
[00:15:06] Kirby's next up.
[00:15:07] I gotta.
[00:15:07] I can't not have them.
[00:15:08] Like these games are just.
[00:15:09] You can't.
[00:15:10] Yeah.
[00:15:10] Kirby.
[00:15:11] I think he's in a lot of people's top hundreds.
[00:15:13] I think it helps.
[00:15:15] He's like.
[00:15:16] It's not just that he's cool playing in.
[00:15:18] In super smash, but also just like a standalone.
[00:15:21] Like there was even a Saturday morning kids cartoon.
[00:15:22] I remember back in like the early two thousands.
[00:15:25] Yep.
[00:15:26] You don't know a single word he says and that's okay.
[00:15:29] Like.
[00:15:29] He just sucks shit up.
[00:15:35] I like that awkward silence.
[00:15:37] I just.
[00:15:38] I just knew.
[00:15:40] I just knew.
[00:15:40] I took a second to process.
[00:15:41] That's why.
[00:15:41] I knew you were going to say something.
[00:15:43] It's a process, man.
[00:15:45] Be careful what you suck.
[00:15:46] Try not to actually.
[00:15:48] But.
[00:15:48] I just knew you're going to do a play on word that was both appropriate and an end of
[00:15:53] window.
[00:15:55] Um.
[00:15:55] Yeah.
[00:15:56] He's great.
[00:15:57] It fits.
[00:15:58] But yeah.
[00:15:59] How cool is that?
[00:16:00] Like he's almost like the T-1000 in Terminator.
[00:16:03] Like whatever he touches, he becomes the form.
[00:16:05] He can imitate it.
[00:16:06] How.
[00:16:07] And then at the end of the day, he's like almost a Pokemon.
[00:16:10] He's got this cute little voice.
[00:16:12] And he's just.
[00:16:14] Yeah.
[00:16:14] I think if you, if you played a super smash bros and you didn't know anything about
[00:16:18] Pokemon, you'd be like, that's just a Pokemon, isn't it?
[00:16:20] Isn't it?
[00:16:21] Yeah.
[00:16:22] He flies.
[00:16:23] He can throw a Pokeball back at your real heart.
[00:16:26] Yeah.
[00:16:28] Uh, speaking of super smash brothers, uh, plenty of other people from the Mario
[00:16:31] verse.
[00:16:31] We've got Wario, Luigi, their evil cousins, Wario and Waluigi and Bowser.
[00:16:39] Yeah.
[00:16:40] I just had to throw them all in there.
[00:16:42] Iconic.
[00:16:42] Bowser is just so much fun to have to block his moves and it's just his, he's a giant turtle.
[00:16:48] He's like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, like evil clone.
[00:16:53] You know?
[00:16:54] Like.
[00:16:55] Yeah.
[00:16:55] Also very fun Mario Kart character to ride around.
[00:16:59] Yes.
[00:16:59] Oh, with baby Bowser.
[00:17:00] Yep.
[00:17:01] And great stuff.
[00:17:03] I feel like we should be adding Donkey Kong to this list as well.
[00:17:06] Uh, he, he, he's way ahead of you, homie.
[00:17:09] Uh, it wasn't in any particular order, but yeah, he's at number 52 along with number
[00:17:14] 53 being Star Fox.
[00:17:16] Yep.
[00:17:17] Yep.
[00:17:18] Oh yeah.
[00:17:19] Yeah.
[00:17:19] Donkey Kong.
[00:17:20] Hard not to add because that's the first character that Mario goes up against.
[00:17:26] He was called Jumpman, but it's Mario.
[00:17:31] Throwing barrels.
[00:17:32] Yeah.
[00:17:33] Barrel monkeys.
[00:17:34] Yep.
[00:17:35] Um, and the birth of Mario.
[00:17:36] So basically it, uh, at 11 and 12, I got captains Soap McTavish and price from Call
[00:17:43] of Duty franchise.
[00:17:44] Oh God.
[00:17:46] God.
[00:17:47] I just knew you were going to make fun of that, but yeah, I, I just, I, I, I can't
[00:17:54] defend where the Call of Duty franchise has gone since, but when the first few modern
[00:17:59] warfare games.
[00:18:00] I don't think anyone can.
[00:18:02] That's the other irony too.
[00:18:03] It's like Star Wars is like why.
[00:18:06] I, we got no defense.
[00:18:08] Let's just move on and enjoy.
[00:18:10] Although throughout like the history of Call of Duty, like there's been so many games
[00:18:14] still.
[00:18:15] I know who Captain Price is, even though I've not played any of them.
[00:18:18] Like there you go.
[00:18:20] So that's also kind of where I was going with this.
[00:18:22] If you at least know who they are, know who voices them.
[00:18:26] And, um, yeah, I couldn't tell you who any of the characters in the, the most recent
[00:18:31] one is.
[00:18:31] I don't even know what the most recent one is.
[00:18:33] Cause there's so many.
[00:18:34] Mctavish was cool.
[00:18:35] Cause he was just helping out this special task force and doing the whole, we are leaving
[00:18:40] soldier.
[00:18:41] And Price was also heroic.
[00:18:44] And while fighting by your side and against the hordes of evil Russian terrorists.
[00:18:51] And it was just, he's a character.
[00:18:53] Uh, Captain Price is a character in both the world war two games and modern warfare.
[00:18:58] Yeah.
[00:18:59] I think they say he's like the, he's like it.
[00:19:02] That was his ancestor or something like that.
[00:19:05] Yeah.
[00:19:06] And don't get me started on black ops where it gets even more murky.
[00:19:11] And no, to be fair, that's where kind of what makes those games better.
[00:19:16] It's definitely better when they went back to world war two and forgot what made those
[00:19:19] good.
[00:19:19] And it's also a shame too, because like sometimes the games, if they're mediocre, you still want
[00:19:25] to kind of just play around with them at on a lazy Sunday and admire all the voice talent
[00:19:29] and design.
[00:19:30] But then there's other times where you're like, Hmm, what's happening here?
[00:19:35] Can I shoot the civilians now?
[00:19:38] Oh my word.
[00:19:39] You wouldn't go there.
[00:19:42] I swear I'm loyal to the Russian cause.
[00:19:45] Um, I love that burger world.
[00:19:47] That was the best part of that modern warfare.
[00:19:50] Oh, that shit.
[00:19:51] Yeah.
[00:19:51] David is yelling at you.
[00:19:53] It's a total red dawn.
[00:19:54] Olympus has fallen parody.
[00:19:55] Defend the burger town.
[00:19:58] Defend the burger town.
[00:19:59] Yeah.
[00:20:00] I will.
[00:20:01] I will.
[00:20:02] They're not getting my happy meal.
[00:20:05] Yeah.
[00:20:05] Um, private, private Jackson from saving private Ryan, the sniper guy.
[00:20:10] Yeah.
[00:20:10] He was in there fighting by your side.
[00:20:13] Uh, there's been plenty of other cameos since Casper Bandian.
[00:20:15] That's right.
[00:20:16] Johnny Rico from starship troopers was in one, uh, starbuck from Battlestar, you know,
[00:20:21] Katie Sackhoff and even Chris Maloney.
[00:20:24] Miguel fair.
[00:20:26] I think you would have thought he would have been like perfect as that.
[00:20:33] They, they did have a black ops character who was like the main CIA goon giving you a briefing.
[00:20:38] Like in the first one, it was that Harris playing them.
[00:20:40] And then in the second one, they replaced him with Michael Keaton and they used the persona for each time.
[00:20:44] It wasn't too big a stretch.
[00:20:46] Like that's all.
[00:20:47] Uh, the actors that they had playing.
[00:20:51] Overlord.
[00:20:51] It was the guy who sends out the copter as backup.
[00:20:54] Like those were always some cool voices and who they had, but it's a big stretch.
[00:20:59] Cause again, you're like, you're not sure if that's a code name or if it's the same character sending in brigade, but whatever.
[00:21:05] Number 13, my absolute favorite.
[00:21:08] And you can't say I'm biased cause he's not number one on here on the list.
[00:21:11] Uh, Sam Fisher from splinter cell.
[00:21:15] Like I, I loved all the climbing around whistling, knocking out guards who in the middle of, as they're about to kill someone or take a leak.
[00:21:26] And he just go around pistol.
[00:21:29] You could do everything.
[00:21:29] You could post a web.
[00:21:30] And when it got the double agent, it was just so unreal.
[00:21:33] You're having to maintain your cover and then kill the rest of the terrorist crew.
[00:21:38] I always like siphon filter more.
[00:21:41] I think I had him on here.
[00:21:44] Uh, but yeah, I always saw some of those games.
[00:21:47] Um, then I got master chief from halo.
[00:21:50] Can't.
[00:21:51] No, kind of.
[00:21:52] Yeah.
[00:21:52] Can not have it.
[00:21:53] Can not have it for real.
[00:21:57] Then I got from 15 to 21 various star Wars characters.
[00:22:00] We got star killers from the force unleashed games.
[00:22:02] We got Mace Windu, Obi-Wan, Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker, Yoda, and Kyle Katarn from the dark forces Jedi Academy games.
[00:22:10] I just.
[00:22:11] Yeah.
[00:22:13] Nice acknowledgement for force unleashed.
[00:22:15] Um, that was.
[00:22:17] I had to, I had to put on there.
[00:22:19] I had to.
[00:22:20] I want to put proxy.
[00:22:24] Who?
[00:22:25] Lego star Wars.
[00:22:26] No.
[00:22:27] Any proxy.
[00:22:28] Star killer.
[00:22:29] George and bang.
[00:22:31] Can you throw a lightsaber?
[00:22:32] Yeah.
[00:22:33] He's actually his trainer.
[00:22:35] Can you play as him?
[00:22:37] Yeah, no.
[00:22:38] I hate that part.
[00:22:39] That's the part of why they made the list.
[00:22:41] You can play as a rack of a body count.
[00:22:44] Oh.
[00:22:45] Uh, so next up I got Indiana Jones.
[00:22:48] Which one?
[00:22:49] Uh, which.
[00:22:51] And he's the same character in all the games.
[00:22:53] Oh, he's not.
[00:22:55] There's one of those.
[00:22:56] Lego.
[00:22:57] You can.
[00:22:57] So fun fact.
[00:22:58] If you've ever.
[00:22:59] They're going to be on the list later, but if you ever played the.
[00:23:02] The mercenaries video game.
[00:23:04] Uh, which was by LucasArts.
[00:23:06] Uh, you can change your skin to look like Chewbacca Han Solo or Indy.
[00:23:11] And it's just so funny seeing them walk around with the guns, you know,
[00:23:15] throwing grenades.
[00:23:16] Um, hijacking cars from terrorists.
[00:23:20] Um, then I put down sub zero scorpion and Raiden from mortal combat.
[00:23:24] Sweet.
[00:23:26] Always fun kills and cool storylines.
[00:23:29] Uh, Riddick from the.
[00:23:31] Yes.
[00:23:32] Games.
[00:23:33] All for teenage mutant Ninja Turtles.
[00:23:36] That's easy.
[00:23:37] Uh, Wolverine and the Hulk.
[00:23:40] Plenty of fun games playing as them.
[00:23:42] Prados from God of War.
[00:23:45] The Prince of Persia.
[00:23:47] Man, this made me fall in love with the hourglass.
[00:23:49] For a totally different reason.
[00:23:51] Um, the Terminator.
[00:23:53] Were you able to try out the new Prince of Persia?
[00:23:56] Plenty of jumps.
[00:23:57] No, not yet.
[00:23:58] Is it a lot of fun?
[00:23:59] Yeah, it's quite a, I mean, it's a surprising, like surprisingly good game.
[00:24:05] Uh, for what it is.
[00:24:06] Yeah.
[00:24:07] Didn't they phone in some of the last few games or?
[00:24:10] Yeah.
[00:24:11] I mean, they did up until this very recent one.
[00:24:14] And also like, I mean, then they're talking about like redoing Sands of Time and stuff,
[00:24:19] which.
[00:24:19] Why?
[00:24:20] I mean, cool, but I don't know whether they're going to capture.
[00:24:23] I mean, yeah, it's lightning in a bottle, baby.
[00:24:26] Yeah, it is.
[00:24:29] Uh, I guess whatever works, uh, the Terminator, plenty of fun games where you can play as
[00:24:34] them.
[00:24:35] Except for, uh, someone was not resistance.
[00:24:41] Oh, yeah.
[00:24:43] That one plays itself.
[00:24:45] Oh, yeah.
[00:24:46] It does.
[00:24:48] It's so bad.
[00:24:49] Oh, yeah.
[00:24:50] Great soundtrack.
[00:24:51] Pretty dumb game.
[00:24:52] Uh, Rambo.
[00:24:53] If you ever play any of the arcanes or other games, lots of fun to be had playing as that
[00:24:58] character.
[00:24:59] Can't say I've played a Rambo game.
[00:25:01] I've never played a Rambo game.
[00:25:03] Oh, well.
[00:25:04] And plus you can play as him or the Terminator in the, some of the recent Mortal Kombat.
[00:25:09] So there you go.
[00:25:10] Oh, true.
[00:25:11] True.
[00:25:11] I didn't even think of that one.
[00:25:12] Yeah.
[00:25:13] Yeah.
[00:25:13] We got Batman.
[00:25:15] Oh, those Arkham games.
[00:25:17] How about them?
[00:25:18] Yeah.
[00:25:18] Arkham games.
[00:25:19] Pretty much.
[00:25:20] Carry that way.
[00:25:20] For the first time.
[00:25:21] Also the Telltale series.
[00:25:23] Oh, okay.
[00:25:24] Telltale Batman.
[00:25:25] Yeah.
[00:25:26] That was just a straight up detective like mystery game.
[00:25:29] Hmm.
[00:25:30] With Batman.
[00:25:31] Sweet.
[00:25:32] John McClain.
[00:25:34] You know, I actually had to look this up because like, I was very surprised about die
[00:25:38] hard games.
[00:25:39] Yeah.
[00:25:40] Yeah.
[00:25:41] Die hard trilogy was a cool one.
[00:25:43] Um, there's plenty of been some other side games and I had to put down blade the vampires
[00:25:50] and I was like, I'm really looking forward to the new one.
[00:25:54] Like what, whatever the new one's going to be.
[00:25:57] It's, it's, it looks like it's going to be interesting.
[00:26:00] Not, not anytime soon, but hopefully, hopefully the next decade.
[00:26:05] Yeah.
[00:26:05] There's a blade game.
[00:26:06] Yeah.
[00:26:07] Yeah.
[00:26:07] There were two adaptations of them.
[00:26:10] There's blade.
[00:26:11] And then there, he's also available to play in Midnight Suns as well.
[00:26:16] Yes.
[00:26:16] Well, yes, he is.
[00:26:18] I'll do you one better.
[00:26:19] He's who I played as an ultimate adventures.
[00:26:24] They were kind of like the X-Men legends games.
[00:26:26] They were just like, I'm going to be Spider-Woman or Spider-Man or Wolverine.
[00:26:31] I'm playing as blade.
[00:26:33] Um, James Bond, plenty of great games featuring him.
[00:26:37] It's not just cold and I or everything or nothing.
[00:26:39] There's plenty of other.
[00:26:41] There's quite a few.
[00:26:41] I think each movie got a tie in for the most part.
[00:26:45] Right?
[00:26:45] Yeah.
[00:26:47] I played the quantum solace one and that combined the first two Craig ones and had its own side missions.
[00:26:52] Uh, but then it's so wild.
[00:26:55] Then they would use some using Brosnan's likeness, but not his voice.
[00:26:58] And then they had other ones where Craig had his, both his voice and likeness included, but they were original ones like Bloodstone.
[00:27:04] Um, and then we got Chris Jacobs, Jennifer Moy and Matthias Nilsson, all from the mercenaries one and two video games.
[00:27:13] They were kind of much like, uh, didn't they come out around wanted or was that after wanted?
[00:27:22] I think it was around the dead or alive games, but, uh, and, uh, if you don't mind me asking like mercenaries, I I've heard of it.
[00:27:31] Cause I remember when I was basically you betrayed, it was like Grand Theft Auto, but you can play different sides.
[00:27:39] Like you're working for like the U S or UN and it's so funny.
[00:27:43] If you go too far, then everybody's firing at you and it's harder to, you know, uh, reheal and respond.
[00:27:50] And then there's other times where you're like, eh, I kind of feel like getting naughty. Yeah. Um, but it's in the U N and you could mess with North Korea, China, and the allied nations and hijack helicopters.
[00:28:07] But much like Grand Theft Auto, like in the first one, you would die if you fell in the water.
[00:28:11] Yeah.
[00:28:13] And I hate that fucking thing in every game. It's the stupidest dynamic ever.
[00:28:20] What is it?
[00:28:21] Yeah, right.
[00:28:23] But it was swim. My character can't, but yeah, it, there was also plenty of outrageous tank hijacking and outrageous stunts.
[00:28:32] You can do very similar to saints row and just cause in a way.
[00:28:37] So it's okay.
[00:28:39] Completely recommend in the sequel. Wasn't as good, but I was glad they with the new controls, but long story short.
[00:28:45] Yeah. You had this one African-American guy, this one Chinese British gal, and then this one Swedish guy, and they were all voiced by, you know, voice regulars like Phil Lamar and Jennifer Hill.
[00:28:55] And then, uh, Peter Storm or, you know, you've seen in stuff like prison break and Armageddon bad boys to Fargo.
[00:29:05] So, uh, yeah.
[00:29:08] And lots of great voice talent, like Carl Weathers was the voice of one of the general's guys.
[00:29:12] There was even a mission, which was a total tribute to speed where you had to race a bus and keep it at 50 miles an hour.
[00:29:18] Nice.
[00:29:19] It wouldn't, it didn't blow up, but you just lost the contest.
[00:29:22] It was like for world peace or something in that region or some shit.
[00:29:26] It was crazy.
[00:29:27] That's a shitty mission.
[00:29:29] It was fun, actually.
[00:29:31] But it sounds stupid on paper.
[00:29:33] Um, much like speed.
[00:29:35] It shouldn't work, but it does.
[00:29:36] Um, and then Marcus Phoenix from Gears of War.
[00:29:40] Woo.
[00:29:40] I had to give some love to that.
[00:29:42] I'm not as familiar with those games.
[00:29:46] I haven't.
[00:29:47] I just started, um, the Gears of War, uh, the, they did the remake, I think of the first one.
[00:29:53] Um, so it just started that very recently because, um, they announced that they're going to do a prequel, right?
[00:29:58] Um, yeah.
[00:29:59] I think.
[00:29:59] Holy shit.
[00:30:01] So, started to get into that.
[00:30:03] Yeah.
[00:30:04] It's pretty good.
[00:30:05] Pretty good.
[00:30:05] Okay.
[00:30:06] Sweet.
[00:30:08] Okay.
[00:30:08] And then Lieutenant Nathan Hill from the resistance fall of men video games.
[00:30:14] Complete.
[00:30:15] Yeah.
[00:30:16] That they even may came out with some comics of it.
[00:30:19] It was, again, it was much like an answer to half-life or halo type.
[00:30:22] Like first person shooters, but I, I dug that apocalyptic style and the alien designs.
[00:30:28] They were like walking skeletons with some flesh still on them.
[00:30:31] And even though some of them were T they didn't hold back.
[00:30:34] I think that's just it.
[00:30:35] They're like, Oh, you're just blowing up aliens with occasional green goo.
[00:30:39] It's all good.
[00:30:40] Yeah.
[00:30:41] It wasn't to the point where you're like, Oh my word.
[00:30:44] You know, uh, gruesome bomb leaf, but very fun stuff.
[00:30:49] Um, I wish I could have played more of it.
[00:30:51] Um, then we got Oreos favorite Sonic the Hedgehog.
[00:30:56] I'll take in front of my ED.
[00:30:59] I'm sorry.
[00:31:01] I gotta love collecting all those rings and going through power boosters.
[00:31:05] Fun stuff.
[00:31:06] Like Kim K with Kanye.
[00:31:08] Kim K with Kanye.
[00:31:10] Wow.
[00:31:11] Excited for the new movie coming out.
[00:31:13] Absolutely.
[00:31:14] I've never seen it.
[00:31:15] I know.
[00:31:16] I care for it.
[00:31:17] And you need to.
[00:31:18] Kim K.
[00:31:19] Carrie is amazing in it.
[00:31:20] I know, but I still care.
[00:31:22] My parents really dug it and they couldn't give a shit less about video games.
[00:31:26] That's how cool it was.
[00:31:27] Um, uh, then did any of you play, uh, Alpha protocol?
[00:31:33] I really wanted to, but they removed it from the same.
[00:31:36] I believe you have to get it on the GOG.
[00:31:38] Uh, so I was sold on it.
[00:31:40] People were saying it was similar to born identity and prison break.
[00:31:44] You have this ex con who becomes a spy and I actually beat it.
[00:31:49] It was for various consoles, but I just, uh, Sega just really had some cool fighting moves.
[00:31:55] I dug how you could choose how like any good.
[00:32:01] Not it's not an RPG, but it is a, you can choose how you want to customize your character,
[00:32:07] what tools he has, gadgets and everything.
[00:32:09] So I'm biased because when I was growing up, everyone else was like, I want to be a cop firefighter or astronaut.
[00:32:18] I was like, I want to be a spy assassin.
[00:32:21] Not really safe for work.
[00:32:22] Um, I want to go around murdering people.
[00:32:27] It may not be the number one spy game, but it really is a shit ton of fun.
[00:32:33] And there's some dumb levels, but there, there is some fun climbing around and martial art moves.
[00:32:39] You can customize with, in addition to your various weapons.
[00:32:44] In the, in the RPG genre that it's most like most of what I think is like fantasy.
[00:32:51] Yeah.
[00:32:52] Like it's very rarely like a spy role playing game.
[00:32:56] That was, that's what's weird too.
[00:32:57] Like there is a beginning, middle and end and you can choose the difficulty, but I like,
[00:33:01] and didn't feel limited despite there being a beginning and end that, that was the cool part.
[00:33:07] There was some lame searching for a small like data piece.
[00:33:13] And you're like, where the hell do I even go?
[00:33:15] But that was very minuscule.
[00:33:17] Otherwise, um, it's right in front of you.
[00:33:19] It's right in front of you.
[00:33:21] No, two meters to your left.
[00:33:22] No, it's always right in front of you.
[00:33:24] No, you gotta look around.
[00:33:26] It was, it was a bitch those levels.
[00:33:29] But, uh, then we gotta have Frank Castle, the Punisher himself.
[00:33:33] I gotta.
[00:33:35] Where's Tiny Tank on the list?
[00:33:37] Ah, well, you can save it for when you gotta do the math.
[00:33:41] Um, so I got Spyro the Dragon and then I got Tenkai Nankovo from the Onimusha games.
[00:33:49] Those were some fun samurai fighting.
[00:33:52] There's a movie for that too.
[00:33:54] Well, it was the cut scenes.
[00:33:57] Cause yeah, Jean Reno dedicated his likeness in one.
[00:34:01] Yeah.
[00:34:01] Um, and then we got Dante also known as Tony Redgrave from the Devil May Cry games.
[00:34:07] I used to get him mixed up with like Hellzing or.
[00:34:11] I mean, I can see.
[00:34:12] Vampire Hunter D.
[00:34:13] Just that kind of guy.
[00:34:14] Big ass sword, you know.
[00:34:16] Have you seen anime for it?
[00:34:19] I have not.
[00:34:20] Have you?
[00:34:21] Yeah.
[00:34:23] I like it.
[00:34:24] It's nice.
[00:34:26] Yeah.
[00:34:26] There's an order for the, for the DMC series.
[00:34:29] I forget the order, but yeah, the anime is included in that.
[00:34:33] So all the games, the anime.
[00:34:36] Cause the games came out one through five and then they're like, oh yeah, there's an order
[00:34:43] to all the games.
[00:34:44] I'm like, well, what is there an order for?
[00:34:48] Cause it's so funny.
[00:34:51] I think the order.
[00:34:52] See, I think it was, um, four to do the series one and then five or something like that.
[00:35:04] Sweet.
[00:35:05] Yeah.
[00:35:06] Real ass backwards.
[00:35:07] I love it.
[00:35:12] Twisted.
[00:35:13] Um, so then I got our Donkey Kong and Star Fox and, uh, then.
[00:35:20] Yep.
[00:35:21] Solid snake from Metal Gear Solid.
[00:35:23] Again, you know, I would see some friends play as that, that character.
[00:35:26] And it was always just like, whoa, you know, I just like, you know, I, I didn't, I don't
[00:35:32] like that.
[00:35:32] There was a rivalry between that and as Splinter Cell.
[00:35:35] It's like, you can like both.
[00:35:39] Totally different characters.
[00:35:42] Totally.
[00:35:43] Other than their stealth games, really nothing alike.
[00:35:49] Uh, both of them were pioneers of stealth gaming mechanics.
[00:35:52] All right.
[00:35:53] One's by Ubisoft.
[00:35:54] The other is by Konami.
[00:35:55] I think one was inspired by, you know, Tom Clancy's reminiscing and the other was a tribute
[00:36:01] to escape from New York snake plus skin.
[00:36:03] Um, fun to play as in the other new super Mario brothers.
[00:36:08] Um, smash, uh, Samus from Metroid prime.
[00:36:14] I played some of that.
[00:36:15] That was cool.
[00:36:16] Yeah.
[00:36:16] Just uploading some slideshows from a cool character.
[00:36:20] Um, doom guy from, oh, you know, he's been to Ellen bag.
[00:36:26] He's got a sword.
[00:36:27] We got agent 47 from hit man.
[00:36:29] I actually like both those movies.
[00:36:30] I know that's controversial.
[00:36:32] Um, never seen.
[00:36:34] Well, I know they exist.
[00:36:37] I've seen the hit.
[00:36:38] I've seen the hit.
[00:36:39] I've seen the hit man one.
[00:36:39] I'm saying the doom one, the doom one.
[00:36:41] If I remember it was very controversial because did it not even have doom guy in the doom
[00:36:47] movie?
[00:36:47] Dwayne the rock Johnson.
[00:36:49] Yeah.
[00:36:50] That one.
[00:36:50] Yeah.
[00:36:50] Yeah.
[00:36:51] Yeah.
[00:36:51] Yeah.
[00:36:51] Yeah.
[00:36:52] Yeah.
[00:36:52] Yeah.
[00:36:53] Yeah.
[00:36:54] Yeah.
[00:37:11] Crash Bandicoot.
[00:37:12] Gotta give some love to the other Sony legend.
[00:37:15] Like he was one of the first I saw like people playing demos at video game and Best Buy
[00:37:21] and video rail stores.
[00:37:22] Even in elementary, I saw people playing this.
[00:37:25] Yeah.
[00:37:26] I think we were, uh, I think they did a re-release of the crash Bandicoot games recently.
[00:37:31] Uh, well, if they ever make a movie, they better hurry up and they better cast the Schwarzenegger
[00:37:37] parody tiny and have it actually be played by Arnold.
[00:37:41] Here comes tiny.
[00:37:43] Going to crush your memories.
[00:37:45] Yeah.
[00:37:46] Yeah.
[00:37:46] I think the, the time, the only time I actually played crash Bandicoot was when Nathan Drake
[00:37:52] was playing him in on chat.
[00:37:54] Oh man.
[00:37:55] And my, my uncle was obsessed with, uh, he loved quoting various movie and TV characters
[00:38:02] randomly.
[00:38:02] And he would always, uh, quote the evil scientists out of my way.
[00:38:09] Um, who was it?
[00:38:12] That voice that wasn't Michael Ironside.
[00:38:19] I could have sworn.
[00:38:21] Dr. Cortex.
[00:38:25] Dr. Neo.
[00:38:26] No, it was like slang.
[00:38:27] My bad, but man, he had that feel of that kind of, you know, hammy, you know, B movie actors
[00:38:33] and everything.
[00:38:35] Out to my way.
[00:38:37] Um, I have to go to the bathroom.
[00:38:39] Move.
[00:38:40] Out to my way.
[00:38:41] Yes.
[00:38:42] Um, and so then we got, uh, your boy Logan from Siphon filter Oreo.
[00:38:50] What, what do you dig about him?
[00:38:52] I have played when I first played him, I was so blown away.
[00:38:58] Cause there's more mission impossible ish kind of.
[00:39:00] Yeah, definitely.
[00:39:01] Cause it was more spec ops than, you know, your random shooter and you, it was all military
[00:39:07] based.
[00:39:08] You had an array of weapons to fuck with.
[00:39:11] Um, yeah, it was, and the PN2 graphics.
[00:39:16] Yes.
[00:39:17] One.
[00:39:17] I still remember that.
[00:39:19] I'm so crazy, but it was so much fun at that time.
[00:39:24] And the one added an extra bit of charm just cause there was detail and everything else,
[00:39:28] I guess.
[00:39:28] Yeah.
[00:39:29] And you could climb stuff and whatnot.
[00:39:31] So it was kind of like early splinter cell in a way.
[00:39:40] Mm.
[00:39:40] I did the last one and my PS free.
[00:39:43] And like, and I could not stop playing it like straight.
[00:39:45] Like I would come home from my valet job.
[00:39:48] That's right.
[00:39:48] I raced car.
[00:39:49] I'm coming around from racing cars and making tips in the hot sun.
[00:39:52] It's all about family going around and doing the usual, knocking people out and stop it.
[00:39:59] And believe it or not.
[00:40:00] And even this was before I even worked at DFW airport.
[00:40:03] I thought they did a good job designing that Dallas airport where you're trying to stop
[00:40:07] like a giant biological weapon from going off.
[00:40:09] I'm like, Hey, it may not be word for word, but it looks pretty much kind of like the
[00:40:13] place.
[00:40:15] Pretty close.
[00:40:16] Pretty close.
[00:40:17] And so far it's Wisconsin, but well, and I liked how he didn't always have his gear.
[00:40:22] So as a result, you couldn't use your night vision at all.
[00:40:25] You had to use actual, just like, again, it was all about time.
[00:40:31] I'm like, see, I like that.
[00:40:33] It's not, but this time it's not about defusing a bomb or getting to a checkpoint while protecting
[00:40:40] someone.
[00:40:40] I like it is like, this is all about how you progress.
[00:40:43] Like, and the more, and again, the faster you run, the more noise you make, you know,
[00:40:48] you're having to watch your meter.
[00:40:51] You're having to find as many shadows.
[00:40:53] So I liked how there was that blinker that would indicate is like, okay, this guy totally
[00:40:57] saw us.
[00:40:57] And now he's going to unload his entire AK 47.
[00:41:00] And, you know, despite coming from a radical guy like Tom Clancy, I never got a sense of,
[00:41:08] I mean, feel free to disagree with me here.
[00:41:09] I never got any jingoism in those games.
[00:41:13] Jingoism.
[00:41:14] Unless from the Babylon 5.
[00:41:17] Jingoism is just a term in general for where you got like a let's invade be number one country.
[00:41:21] There wasn't ever any like under development of any of the villains.
[00:41:26] There was always kind of a world peace kind of thing.
[00:41:28] I always dug that instead of the white savior must beat up a bunch of, you know, idiots.
[00:41:33] You know what I mean?
[00:41:34] It wasn't.
[00:41:35] Agreed.
[00:41:36] It wasn't ever.
[00:41:37] It wasn't ever problematic.
[00:41:39] You know what?
[00:41:39] What I mean?
[00:41:40] Like where you're just like, ah, grief, you know, like, like when you get shot, you're
[00:41:45] fucking dead.
[00:41:46] You know, like there's no get out of jail free card.
[00:41:49] You know?
[00:41:52] I, it just really bothers me when I see people using a lot of fear mongering in their games.
[00:41:56] I'm like, good God, are you trying to recruit me to the army?
[00:41:59] God, this is bad.
[00:42:01] Hey, I hate you.
[00:42:02] Let's do this.
[00:42:03] Let's murder some people.
[00:42:04] Develop your villains and don't have it just be just mindless hordes of soldiers and
[00:42:09] mercs trying to snipe you, you know, give them a persona.
[00:42:12] And there was always a cool like guy who had like the, and all these spy games for that
[00:42:17] matter.
[00:42:18] There was always the cool, you know, guy came up with the chemical composition and there
[00:42:22] was the main guy doing it for his own political cause.
[00:42:25] And then there was the, you know, other underlings and mad scientists who wanted it.
[00:42:29] Mm hmm.
[00:42:30] It was like, that's cool.
[00:42:31] And it works as a game.
[00:42:33] And I'm all, anytime they've ever announced these as movies, I'm like, ah, don't screw
[00:42:37] it up.
[00:42:38] Don't make it be so generic, you know, to where you're just reminding me of better diehard
[00:42:43] or Robocop type movies.
[00:42:45] You know?
[00:42:45] Yeah.
[00:42:46] Yeah.
[00:42:47] Um, I, I did put our, our gal Laura Croft and Tomb Raider, you know, triangle
[00:42:53] moves for life.
[00:42:54] Well, and I got to give some, it's a lot of round in the new games.
[00:43:01] I don't know.
[00:43:02] I don't know.
[00:43:03] It's, it's, it's sad.
[00:43:04] It's a trip.
[00:43:05] Um, so I have not played the last of us are uncharted, but I know about them.
[00:43:11] I've seen stuff up, but I know that Ellie and Nathan Drake are pretty well liked.
[00:43:16] I've seen gameplay by friends.
[00:43:17] I think, uh, uh, uh, when, when I saw you put Ellie, I think, I think for anyone who's
[00:43:25] played the last of us, I think you should also put Joel because it's hard to consider
[00:43:29] Ellie along with Joel when it comes to that.
[00:43:31] Perfect.
[00:43:32] They're both very, very three dimensional, very well developed characters, which I think
[00:43:37] in 2013 was pretty rare.
[00:43:40] Yeah, it really was.
[00:43:42] I mean, and again, it was a love letter to both Laura Croft and other adventure diehard
[00:43:46] type stuff.
[00:43:48] But as a game, um, I still need to see the show.
[00:43:51] I'm waiting for season two to come out before I start that binge.
[00:43:54] The less said about that uncharted movie, the better though.
[00:43:56] Oh my God.
[00:43:56] That was bad.
[00:43:57] Oh yeah.
[00:43:58] You, you saw it.
[00:43:59] I didn't go see it.
[00:44:00] I didn't want to, but there's this thing called being bored on an airplane and having
[00:44:05] nothing.
[00:44:06] I see.
[00:44:07] I see.
[00:44:08] And I'm like, good grief.
[00:44:10] There is no action.
[00:44:11] What a waste of Antonio Banderas and his amazing talent.
[00:44:14] And that's how I felt when I watched Max Steel and saw Andy Garcia.
[00:44:18] I'm like, really?
[00:44:20] I saw that too.
[00:44:21] Oh my God.
[00:44:22] And I'm like, so you can't even get the source material.
[00:44:25] You don't even make use of anybody else.
[00:44:27] I had to wait an hour for him to say go turbo.
[00:44:30] I'm like, are you fucking kidding me?
[00:44:32] Anytime I see him in a movie nowadays, I'm like, who did he piss off?
[00:44:36] He looks terrible.
[00:44:37] You know?
[00:44:37] He's so bad.
[00:44:39] Whoever's doing the makeup.
[00:44:40] I have Link from Legend of Zelda, all the grappier weapons for the win.
[00:44:45] Very much.
[00:44:46] Fuck my Zelda.
[00:44:48] John Marston from Red Den Redemption.
[00:44:50] I've mainly played the multiplayer of this, but I understand the backstory of Marston and
[00:44:56] everything.
[00:44:56] And I'm surprised no one's wanted to adapt that.
[00:44:58] I mean, like, this is like a total tribute to Spaghetti Western.
[00:45:01] He's totally the man with no name.
[00:45:03] It's easy to adapt.
[00:45:07] Are they adapting the second Red Dead game?
[00:45:10] Red Dead Redemption 2?
[00:45:12] I don't know.
[00:45:13] That's...
[00:45:14] I thought I heard that as a rumor, but I might be completely upset.
[00:45:18] You know?
[00:45:19] We'll return after these messages.

[00:46:36] Check them out.
[00:46:42] Do you remember when the fake Legend of Zelda movie broke the internet?
[00:46:47] Like IGN hired some actors and people thought it was legit.
[00:46:50] That was like back in like, oh, nine.
[00:46:53] They were like, what the hell?
[00:46:56] That looks so real.
[00:46:58] The actors you got really good.
[00:47:00] Um, Ash Williams from the Evil Dead video games that I just, that was actually kind of
[00:47:05] made me aware that those were more than just movies.
[00:47:08] I'm like, oh, wow.
[00:47:09] They've done comics and games of these.
[00:47:11] Um, uh, Pac-Man.
[00:47:16] Gotta give some love to the original guy.
[00:47:18] Gotta give some love to the orgy.
[00:47:20] The orgy.
[00:47:20] I spent countless times just messing around with it in a doctor's waiting office.
[00:47:25] I kid you not.
[00:47:26] They had a little Pac-Man game out.
[00:47:28] Um, and this is Pac-Man too.
[00:47:30] Gordon Freeman from Half-Life.
[00:47:33] Um, I'm not kidding you.
[00:47:34] When I saw one of my brother's friends brothers playing this game, I was like, this is like
[00:47:41] a weird X-Files type plot.
[00:47:43] And they got all these alien or the thing type creatures coming at you.
[00:47:47] And you happen to be a very smart scientist, hence the glasses as well as running around.
[00:47:53] And you're undoing packages and everything.
[00:47:56] And again, it's by the same guys who do Quake and Doom.
[00:47:59] So that's.
[00:48:01] Did you watch him play the first game of the second one?
[00:48:04] I had had to have been part two, I think, because I think they had added Lewis Gossett
[00:48:08] Jr. to the cast.
[00:48:09] It was like Oh four ish.
[00:48:11] It was.
[00:48:12] Oh four.
[00:48:12] That's half.
[00:48:13] Seven ish.
[00:48:14] Yeah, it was.
[00:48:15] Yeah.
[00:48:15] It was creepy.
[00:48:16] It was cool.
[00:48:17] Pretty creepy.
[00:48:18] Um, I got to put down both the alien and the predator creature from the movies of the
[00:48:23] same name.
[00:48:23] There's a bunch of different games where you can play as them.
[00:48:26] Mm hmm.
[00:48:27] Definitely.
[00:48:27] Same thing with Robocop.
[00:48:29] Uh, have any of you played the new one?
[00:48:32] I watched the game before.
[00:48:34] It was.
[00:48:34] I've, I've played the new one.
[00:48:36] It is a surprisingly good surprise.
[00:48:40] Yeah, because for the longest time there was like a GameCube game of it and you was
[00:48:44] like, God, this sucks.
[00:48:45] People are shooting you through walls.
[00:48:48] Uh, it's glitching and Robocop previously, you know, you had only just the arcade as well
[00:48:54] as the versus the Terminator arcade and just a few other side things.
[00:48:58] And it's like, it was cool to see them finally.
[00:49:01] And in Mortal Kombat.
[00:49:03] Yeah.
[00:49:04] And that is in Mortal Kombat.
[00:49:06] Yeah.
[00:49:06] I know there's some other Star Wars characters.
[00:49:08] I mean, that's partially why I put Yoda and Darth Vader on here is because they're
[00:49:11] also in Soul Calibur as playable characters.
[00:49:14] Um, yeah.
[00:49:15] Yoda.
[00:49:16] Yeah.
[00:49:16] I remember when Yoda was on the cover of Soul Calibur and I was like, what?
[00:49:20] Yeah, I remember that.
[00:49:21] They got Yoda.
[00:49:22] There was a lot of cool death match games.
[00:49:24] And one cool one was the Revenge of the Sith video game where you not only could play as
[00:49:30] different characters from the legacy as well as old and younger Obi-Wan and Mace Windu,
[00:49:34] but also as Yoda.
[00:49:36] But I also loved how there was even a bonus round where you got to play Yoda slicing up
[00:49:42] clone troopers as they're trying to kill the Jedi at their temple.
[00:49:45] Um, and, uh, I got Spider-Man.
[00:49:50] And obviously there's that awesome PlayStation game from the two thousands and ultimate Avengers
[00:49:55] being the main thing, but there's still like, they're always coming out with a new one.
[00:49:58] And I always look at some of them and I'm like, good Lord.
[00:50:01] That looks the most recent one was nominated for game of the year.
[00:50:06] Was it not?
[00:50:06] Yeah, I think so.
[00:50:07] Yeah.
[00:50:08] It got, it got a lot of accolades, even if it didn't win them, it got a lot.
[00:50:11] Yeah, it did.
[00:50:13] Okay.
[00:50:13] So I put down Joel from the last of us.
[00:50:16] Uh, we got 28 more to go.
[00:50:19] Uh, 28 flags, plant your flags, plant your flags.
[00:50:24] All right.
[00:50:25] I'll, I'll start us off.
[00:50:28] Uh, I want to free for those keeping up.
[00:50:33] Uh, I started off and I want to pick a character from the, the, the portal games.
[00:50:41] Uh, yeah, yeah.
[00:50:44] And there's, I think only four named characters throughout the whole game.
[00:50:49] Uh, that being, Oh, wow.
[00:50:51] The guy who made the, made the company.
[00:50:54] Uh, and then the two, uh, robots, uh, GLaDOS and Wheatley.
[00:50:59] And I feel like, uh, and then the character you play is shell.
[00:51:02] I feel like picking GLaDOS for this.
[00:51:04] Who are you calling me shell?
[00:51:05] I'm just kidding.
[00:51:07] Sorry.
[00:51:09] I'm not crooked.
[00:51:10] I'm just kidding.
[00:51:13] I apologize.
[00:51:14] I'm kidding.
[00:51:15] Uh, but yeah.
[00:51:16] So who from portal?
[00:51:18] Uh, GLaDOS.
[00:51:19] I'm probably going to pick GLaDOS because, uh, uh,
[00:51:22] Not to be confused with the group GLaDOS Knight.
[00:51:25] No, not at all.
[00:51:27] I'm just kidding.
[00:51:28] I'm sorry.
[00:51:29] She's a, she's a really reference.
[00:51:30] A lot of.
[00:51:31] I know.
[00:51:32] Yeah.
[00:51:32] Uh, uh, she, she was the villain throughout most of the first game.
[00:51:39] And she's really funny in the first game.
[00:51:41] Like she's has this dark sense of, uh, humor that you, uh, her taunts, her telling you,
[00:51:50] keep this companion cube safe.
[00:51:52] You have to love this companion cube.
[00:51:53] And then you get to the end of the level.
[00:51:54] She's like, all right, now put it in the incinerator.
[00:51:58] Wow.
[00:51:58] What was it all for?
[00:52:02] All a test.
[00:52:04] She's definitely the contender.
[00:52:06] All right.
[00:52:07] So GLaDOS.
[00:52:10] Well, can you play as her?
[00:52:12] No.
[00:52:13] Cause she's just.
[00:52:14] Okay.
[00:52:14] That's where we were going for is who can you play?
[00:52:17] We're going as for playable characters.
[00:52:19] Oh, playable characters.
[00:52:20] Then I'll go with shell from the game.
[00:52:22] Okay.
[00:52:23] Shell.
[00:52:25] Shell.
[00:52:26] Shell.
[00:52:26] Shell.
[00:52:27] What the shell?
[00:52:28] All right.
[00:52:29] So 73.
[00:52:29] That's awesome.
[00:52:35] All right.
[00:52:35] So.
[00:52:36] Yeah.
[00:52:37] I'll, I'll go next.
[00:52:39] Um, I'm going to pick, um, Jin Sakai from Ghost of Tsushima.
[00:52:45] It's probably my favorite PlayStation game ever.
[00:52:50] I would say it was just really, it was really, really good.
[00:52:53] Really interesting.
[00:52:54] Still can't believe that.
[00:52:55] Shiba.
[00:52:56] Okay.
[00:52:56] So yeah.
[00:52:58] Go, uh, that, um,
[00:52:59] what's the studio?
[00:53:00] Sucker Punch that this American studio went and made easily one of the best
[00:53:04] Japanese games of all time.
[00:53:07] That, that the Japanese were impressed by it.
[00:53:10] Like that's how good it is.
[00:53:12] And, um, Jin's whole story about, um, seeking revenge for his, for his uncle,
[00:53:18] giving up his samurai ways to, you know, defend his island.
[00:53:22] Like, it's such, such a good story.
[00:53:24] Such a good character.
[00:53:25] Uh, so what game again?
[00:53:27] I'm not seeing it.
[00:53:28] Like I'm not.
[00:53:29] It's Ghost of Tsushima.
[00:53:31] Ghost of Tsushima.
[00:53:32] Okay.
[00:53:33] Yeah.
[00:53:35] Okay.
[00:53:36] Cool.
[00:53:36] Wow.
[00:53:38] That looks epic.
[00:53:40] It is.
[00:53:41] The art book was beautiful.
[00:53:43] Very epic game.
[00:53:45] Very nice looking game.
[00:53:47] Yeah.
[00:53:48] It makes a difference.
[00:53:49] Yes, it does.
[00:53:51] Yeah.
[00:53:53] So that was number 74.
[00:53:55] Yes, sir.
[00:53:56] Was it?
[00:53:57] Yeah.
[00:53:58] Someone's got the math down.
[00:53:59] I love it.
[00:54:00] Thank you.
[00:54:01] Uh, I, I, I got a classic one for 75.
[00:54:05] Uh, I was thinking Steve from Minecraft.
[00:54:09] Minecraft Steve.
[00:54:13] So why do people explode to this seemingly invincible character?
[00:54:17] Why did, why are there so many fans on him?
[00:54:21] Uh, it, it, it's really hard to explain why people love this guy.
[00:54:28] Especially like, uh, I remember the reaction that, that he, that was given to him when he
[00:54:33] joined Smash as well.
[00:54:36] And now with the Minecraft movie coming up.
[00:54:40] I can't believe that.
[00:54:41] And now with the Minecraft movie.
[00:54:43] Yeah.
[00:54:43] They got freaking Jason Momoa.
[00:54:45] And Jack Black playing him.
[00:54:46] That's his thing now, being a video game movies.
[00:54:50] Kung Fu Panda wasn't enough, but yeah.
[00:54:53] Okay.
[00:54:54] Cool.
[00:54:55] 76.
[00:54:56] Man.
[00:54:57] Morio, you want a picture?
[00:54:58] Uh.
[00:55:00] Oh, sorry.
[00:55:01] Morio, you can go ahead.
[00:55:03] You can go ahead.
[00:55:03] All right.
[00:55:04] I'll wait.
[00:55:06] I apologize.
[00:55:08] I'll pick a character from a very, well, not very recent.
[00:55:14] Came out last year.
[00:55:15] Uh, but it was last year's game of the year.
[00:55:17] Uh, Baldur's Gate 3.
[00:55:19] I feel like, uh, it's, it's hard for me to pick between a star in, which most people.
[00:55:26] I mean, you got a bunch to go.
[00:55:27] You can pick like five in a row.
[00:55:29] If you want.
[00:55:30] I can pick five.
[00:55:32] From the same game.
[00:55:33] They don't have to be from separate games.
[00:55:35] You're speaking, you're speaking your whole party.
[00:55:36] You can play as them and you love them.
[00:55:38] I'm splitting the party.
[00:55:41] All right.
[00:55:42] Sure.
[00:55:42] I'll pick, uh, a star in from Baldur's Gate three, as well as Kala from Baldur's Gate
[00:55:47] three.
[00:55:48] Uh, both characters.
[00:55:50] Very fun to play when you're playing them.
[00:55:52] Uh, but each one, when you pick them as your origin, uh, really interesting story.
[00:55:58] Really interesting.
[00:55:59] Very different.
[00:56:00] I can type those up to me so I can add them to the list.
[00:56:04] Yeah.
[00:56:05] I got the art book on my channel.
[00:56:07] That was fun.
[00:56:07] Oh, that's, that's two characters.
[00:56:09] Okay.
[00:56:11] Sweet.
[00:56:12] So now we're at 78.
[00:56:13] Oh my God.
[00:56:14] Oh no.
[00:56:16] I'm going to pick somebody from the past.
[00:56:20] Yeah.
[00:56:21] Oh my God.
[00:56:22] Oh, no.
[00:56:25] No.
[00:56:26] No.
[00:56:27] No.
[00:56:28] She popped in my head while I was thinking, I'm going to go with perfect dark.
[00:56:35] Oh, which one?
[00:56:37] Joanna dark.
[00:56:38] The first one.
[00:56:39] So that's the noir, like different scenarios, different outcomes.
[00:56:44] Yeah.
[00:56:45] Cause I remember it.
[00:56:46] I never played it.
[00:56:47] It looked cool.
[00:56:49] And it's always been brought up as like the best underrated game from N64 versus glory
[00:56:55] days.
[00:56:56] I'm like, yeah, that sounds right.
[00:56:58] Yeah.
[00:56:59] I, I would have played it in a better, in a better world.
[00:57:03] And I think that was what was so cool is people doing this neo-noir kind of style.
[00:57:09] These games.
[00:57:12] With a bit of a groundhog's day kind of twist.
[00:57:15] Like if you do something wrong, you have to do it all over again.
[00:57:19] All right.
[00:57:20] So it's right.
[00:57:21] We're up to 79.
[00:57:22] Now.
[00:57:22] Who wants to go?
[00:57:24] I'll go next.
[00:57:26] Continuing on with Japanese games.
[00:57:30] We need you.
[00:57:32] Save the village.
[00:57:33] I'm just kidding.
[00:57:36] I'm going to pick Kiryu Kazuma from the Yakuza series.
[00:57:40] Whoa.
[00:57:42] Yeah.
[00:57:42] That had some serious voice power.
[00:57:44] Didn't they come finally come out with some sequels, but you had to like import it?
[00:57:48] No.
[00:57:49] So now the Yakuza series actually exploded a lot in popularity because they started porting
[00:57:56] the game.
[00:57:57] Like it used to be like PlayStation only.
[00:57:59] Yeah.
[00:58:00] And recently they were like, oh, fuck it.
[00:58:02] Let's just do PC.
[00:58:03] Let's do Xbox.
[00:58:04] There's a version coming out of Nintendo Switch now.
[00:58:07] Oh, wow.
[00:58:08] Of one of our first games.
[00:58:09] So yeah, it's now just become a really popular series.
[00:58:14] So yeah.
[00:58:15] Kiryu.
[00:58:16] I mean, I don't want, I can't say too much because I don't want to spoil too much there,
[00:58:20] but like just that character has just been such a, such a good person.
[00:58:26] So iconic in his world.
[00:58:28] What do you love about the double crosses and infiltration?
[00:58:32] Oh, dude.
[00:58:33] It's, I mean, like that whole series is just like, I love crime stuff in general, but I'm
[00:58:38] just trying to paint a bigger picture for those who have never got the chance.
[00:58:40] Like what's cool about the awesome.
[00:58:44] Oh, all right.
[00:58:45] And everything, you know?
[00:58:46] Yeah.
[00:58:46] It's just like, I think, I think the most interesting thing someone pointed out recently
[00:58:50] is like, even though the game is called Yakuza, the guy you're playing, the guy like Kiryu
[00:58:56] himself isn't the Yakuza character.
[00:58:57] He's in the Yakuza when you're playing as him.
[00:59:00] Like he's always like very, even though like he's portrayed in the story, like as supposed
[00:59:06] to be like a bad guy with, as a Yakuza, like they've really fleshed him out as like a
[00:59:13] real defender of what's right.
[00:59:14] I know Michael Madsen and like Mark Hamill did some voiceovers and I'll never forget
[00:59:19] Mark Hamill voices.
[00:59:21] It was such a popular game and Game Informer gave it a really lousy score.
[00:59:25] And I was just like, I'm sorry here.
[00:59:28] I'm going to have to go with the audience score on this one, guys.
[00:59:30] Like, I mean, always trust the audience friends.
[00:59:34] Always.
[00:59:36] I'm looking at the designs.
[00:59:37] I'm like, there's no way that's a D.
[00:59:41] No way.
[00:59:42] No way at all.
[00:59:43] I'm looking at it.
[00:59:44] I'm like, I mean, that looks fun as shit.
[00:59:49] It's a real fun.
[00:59:50] I mean, the game itself is really fun as well.
[00:59:53] Like they've like completely like gone beyond like just a regular, like, oh, go around,
[00:59:59] beat up some guys.
[01:00:00] Like, I mean, they did sleeping dogs, which was like, uh, that was going to be my next choice.
[01:00:06] Oh, okay.
[01:00:06] I'm glad.
[01:00:07] I'm glad I have some sleeping dogs in charge.
[01:00:09] It was like a spinoff to or began as like a spiritual sequel to which one again?
[01:00:14] It was, uh, oh, it was like the true crime game.
[01:00:19] Yeah.
[01:00:19] It's a, it's based off the true crime.
[01:00:21] Not to be confused with the kinds of podcast guys.
[01:00:23] There used to be New York and L.A.
[01:00:25] And they were like, there was even a game called for the PC and like Xbox called like
[01:00:30] NARC and like Oh five.
[01:00:32] Yeah.
[01:00:32] Yeah.
[01:00:33] I miss those days where they would bring in all these B movie actors and rappers and
[01:00:37] comedians, everybody from Lawrence Fishburne and Christopher Walken to Mariska Hargatay
[01:00:43] and Bill Belami.
[01:00:44] And you're just like, that's so awesome.
[01:00:47] I want to do all this double crossing.
[01:00:49] And the other thing I didn't like about sleeping dogs was the three of the four DLC sucked.
[01:00:56] The first DLC was really good.
[01:00:59] The other one.
[01:01:00] I did hear how like, once you get past the derivative miss of how it's like a Hong Kong movie,
[01:01:07] you know, like Infernal Fairies or Hard Boiled.
[01:01:10] Good cast in that too.
[01:01:12] Yeah.
[01:01:12] Will Yun Lee from Electra and the Wolverine and Altered Carbon.
[01:01:17] Yep.
[01:01:18] And you also got, um, what's her name too?
[01:01:20] Oh yeah.
[01:01:21] That.
[01:01:24] I don't know.
[01:01:25] I can't remember.
[01:01:26] Unless you name her.
[01:01:27] I don't know.
[01:01:28] No, she was in.
[01:01:30] She a famous porn star.
[01:01:32] No, not a porn star.
[01:01:33] Unfortunately.
[01:01:36] No.
[01:01:37] No.
[01:01:37] Miss opportunity.
[01:01:40] Cam in no way is a misogynist, nor does he condone any.
[01:01:43] I mean, he is just being a shithead tonight.
[01:01:46] Just joking around.
[01:01:47] Cheers for the disclaimer.
[01:01:48] Cheers for the disclaimer.
[01:01:49] I gotta have a disclaimer, man.
[01:01:51] I just got it.
[01:01:51] Ah, Emma Stone.
[01:01:53] No.
[01:01:54] Yes.
[01:01:55] Emma Stone's in sleeping.
[01:01:56] What?
[01:01:57] Yes.
[01:01:57] She is.
[01:01:58] You are pulling my leg.
[01:02:00] She's Shen's love interest.
[01:02:02] Cause I was surprised.
[01:02:03] Wow.
[01:02:05] Yeah.
[01:02:05] That's, that's actually crazy.
[01:02:07] I had no idea.
[01:02:07] And she plays someone named Amanda.
[01:02:09] Oh, right.
[01:02:10] She's a man.
[01:02:11] Yeah.
[01:02:12] James Hong plays Uncle Poe.
[01:02:15] As he does.
[01:02:16] Yeah.
[01:02:17] A little pun.
[01:02:18] Sun plays Jang.
[01:02:21] Z Mai plays Big Smile.
[01:02:24] Z Mai?
[01:02:24] No.
[01:02:25] That would be some funny shit.
[01:02:27] That would be.
[01:02:28] You're like, ah.
[01:02:29] It's like, wait a minute.
[01:02:32] This is the worst.
[01:02:33] This is the wildest crossover I've ever watched and played.
[01:02:37] Um, Robin Shue plays Conroy.
[01:02:41] Yup.
[01:02:42] I gotta have.
[01:02:42] Lucy Luz in this.
[01:02:44] Playing Vivian Liu.
[01:02:46] She's fine.
[01:02:47] And Shen's girlfriend talking.
[01:02:50] Selena Jade.
[01:02:51] Selena Jade.
[01:02:56] Hot boiler.
[01:02:58] For so many reasons.
[01:03:02] Yeah.
[01:03:02] Yeah.
[01:03:02] Right there.
[01:03:03] Um, so, uh, yeah, no, that's great.
[01:03:07] Um.
[01:03:08] Another one.
[01:03:09] Ah, well, I don't know.
[01:03:11] I'm thinking.
[01:03:11] But good news.
[01:03:12] We're to 81.
[01:03:14] Yeah.
[01:03:15] Let's go.
[01:03:16] Let's go.
[01:03:16] We got 20 left.
[01:03:18] Let's do this.
[01:03:19] Does Leroy Jenkins count as a character?
[01:03:22] 19.
[01:03:23] No.
[01:03:23] I got three that can cover the list faster.
[01:03:26] All right.
[01:03:26] Go for it.
[01:03:28] Fast.
[01:03:29] Um.
[01:03:30] You're like a director.
[01:03:31] I need you.
[01:03:31] Minecraft Alex.
[01:03:33] Hmm.
[01:03:33] No, no.
[01:03:35] Uh.
[01:03:36] I don't know how this didn't get covered before, but I was thinking.
[01:03:39] I don't know.
[01:03:40] Uh.
[01:03:41] Altair.
[01:03:42] HCO Auditory and Edward Kenway from the Assassin's Creed series.
[01:03:49] Oh yeah.
[01:03:50] They were technically on my list, but coming a little later, but yeah.
[01:03:53] Correct.
[01:03:54] I think those three are the, are they like, I think they're the most popular from Assassin's
[01:04:01] Creed.
[01:04:01] What are they called?
[01:04:04] Um.
[01:04:05] So there's HCO, there's Altair, and um.
[01:04:10] Assassin's Creed.
[01:04:12] Assassin's Creed.
[01:04:13] Yeah.
[01:04:13] And with NCO, it sounds like you're doing a bad NCIS spinoff.
[01:04:17] Is that what we're doing here?
[01:04:18] No, I'm just kidding.
[01:04:20] NCO.
[01:04:20] Coming to CBS this fall.
[01:04:21] Okay.
[01:04:21] So yeah.
[01:04:22] Uh.
[01:04:23] What's his name from Assassin's Creed?
[01:04:25] I'm sorry.
[01:04:25] I've never played any of those, but I love how it's much like Splinter Cell and the Prince
[01:04:30] of Persia.
[01:04:31] But yeah.
[01:04:31] Altair.
[01:04:33] And.
[01:04:34] Altair.
[01:04:35] Etzio.
[01:04:36] And Edward Kenney.
[01:04:37] Okay.
[01:04:38] Edward Kenney.
[01:04:39] It's Kenney Wade.
[01:04:41] He's the pirate one.
[01:04:42] Yeah.
[01:04:45] Tetsuo!
[01:04:46] Oh, okay.
[01:04:48] There's another one.
[01:04:49] I could put a transformer on here if you want.
[01:04:52] Go for it.
[01:04:52] I mean, there's plenty of those.
[01:04:54] Megatron.
[01:04:54] Easily.
[01:04:56] Yeah.
[01:04:57] Especially with that newer one they had.
[01:04:59] What was it like Escape from Cybertron or something?
[01:05:01] Yeah.
[01:05:02] No.
[01:05:03] War for Cybertron and Fall of Cybertron.
[01:05:05] That looks amazing.
[01:05:07] That is beautiful.
[01:05:08] I need to buy it again so I can replay it.
[01:05:10] Again?
[01:05:11] Buy 50?
[01:05:12] And then that'll make them finally uploaded insane.
[01:05:16] It used to be available on Marketplace on Xbox, but then Xbox lost their license with
[01:05:22] Activision.
[01:05:23] No, they lost the licensing.
[01:05:25] I know.
[01:05:25] But who do you piss off, really?
[01:05:26] Come on.
[01:05:27] Hey, who knows?
[01:05:28] Maybe they might come back.
[01:05:30] You never know.
[01:05:31] What did Bill Gates say to the gaming department?
[01:05:33] I don't know.
[01:05:34] This.
[01:05:36] I kid, I kid.
[01:05:37] In no way am I doing a defamation on Bill Gates.
[01:05:40] I'm just making it like Microsoft.
[01:05:44] He's stuck up, Crown.
[01:05:45] If you were doing a defamation, he could very easily sue.
[01:05:49] Oh, I'd be buried.
[01:05:50] You'd never hear from me again.
[01:05:51] I'd be like, I guess I gotta get my visa and flee the country now.
[01:05:58] But yeah.
[01:05:59] Altar, Ezio, and Edward Kenway from Assassin's Creed.
[01:06:03] Very nice.
[01:06:04] I, I, I dug, I only played it briefly.
[01:06:06] I think at, again, this in no way indicates that I haven't played an entire game, but
[01:06:11] I, I've had fan, you know, friends and family who are recessed with it.
[01:06:15] And I, I like how Ubisoft was trying to, again, basically it's Prince of Persia on acid.
[01:06:21] And you got the sky who spans multiple generations and alternate, alternate history timelines.
[01:06:28] It's just like, man, you go from medieval to like revolutionary war, I think.
[01:06:34] Valhalla too.
[01:06:35] Valhalla, yeah.
[01:06:36] Yeah.
[01:06:37] Shit.
[01:06:37] I got all, almost all the Assassin's Creed books that are informational.
[01:06:41] They're on my channel.
[01:06:42] Holy shit.
[01:06:43] Yeah.
[01:06:44] Cause I was bored.
[01:06:45] I was like.
[01:06:45] Are there some comics?
[01:06:46] Yeah.
[01:06:47] There's comics too.
[01:06:48] I want to get those covered.
[01:06:50] Terrible movie.
[01:06:51] But yes.
[01:06:53] There is three minutes missing from that thing.
[01:06:57] I was so mad.
[01:06:59] The thing with that one and the Prince of Persia movie is they're so forgettable.
[01:07:04] They can't wreck the awesomeness that is that video game saga.
[01:07:08] Speaking of video games, I got a character.
[01:07:11] Someone from Need for Speed.
[01:07:12] Go for it.
[01:07:13] I got Jen Kazama from Tekken.
[01:07:17] Oh.
[01:07:19] Yeah.
[01:07:21] Roll Tide.
[01:07:23] The second Kazuma Kazama.
[01:07:27] We got it.
[01:07:28] I never played it, but I did watch Blood Vengeance and I did like that movie, but it was kind
[01:07:33] of basic, but still good.
[01:07:35] I secretly liked the live action movies they made, but in a trashy way.
[01:07:38] That being said, in no way we all love high and low art.
[01:07:43] I actually do recommend the Gran Turismo movie.
[01:07:45] It was seriously a lot of fun.
[01:07:47] Yes.
[01:07:48] I saw that in D-Box.
[01:07:49] That was so much fun.
[01:07:50] I saw it in theaters.
[01:07:51] It was so much fun.
[01:07:52] It was a standalone story and it had all the fun sound effects for the gamers, you know,
[01:07:59] like doot, doot, doot.
[01:08:02] And that setup for it was beautiful.
[01:08:03] It wasn't like Need for Speed where you got to turn your brain off just to have any
[01:08:06] fun.
[01:08:07] You know, it's not like that kind of movie.
[01:08:08] But it had Linkin Park on the soundtrack so it gets fast.
[01:08:12] Oh, that's right.
[01:08:12] Well, and don't you love how one of the players like meditates to Kenny G whenever he's in
[01:08:18] his zone before he races?
[01:08:20] It's great cast.
[01:08:23] I can't resist.
[01:08:24] Okay.
[01:08:24] So we're 286.
[01:08:27] Man.
[01:08:28] I love it, gang.
[01:08:29] We are.
[01:08:30] All right.
[01:08:30] I think I have.
[01:08:31] I think I have.
[01:08:32] We're like Grover on Sesame Street.
[01:08:34] We're here and then we're far.
[01:08:38] I'm sorry.
[01:08:38] I don't know.
[01:08:39] I'm discovering Grover was super Grover.
[01:08:41] Have there been any Muppet video games?
[01:08:43] Do you want to go there?
[01:08:46] I'm kidding.
[01:08:47] There have been.
[01:08:48] There's a game for sure.
[01:08:50] I'm sure.
[01:08:50] Let's see.
[01:08:51] There was a Muppet Island game.
[01:08:55] Hey, big bird.
[01:08:57] Do you want to kick your ass?
[01:08:58] I'm sorry.
[01:09:00] So good.
[01:09:02] We do impressions on here.
[01:09:04] Sorry.
[01:09:04] Oh, that's all good.
[01:09:07] Is it?
[01:09:08] Is it?
[01:09:11] Well, it depends.
[01:09:11] There's a time and a place.
[01:09:12] If you're ordering coffee, it's not okay.
[01:09:15] Oh, jeez.
[01:09:16] The guy at Starbucks is like, will you please order so I can go on my lunch break already?
[01:09:20] Good grief.
[01:09:21] Yuck, yuck.
[01:09:23] I like vanilla.
[01:09:26] Vanilla ice.
[01:09:28] Oh.
[01:09:28] Yes.
[01:09:32] I don't know.
[01:09:33] I don't know what we're doing.
[01:09:35] In relation to the voice you just did, I was thinking of Max Payne.
[01:09:39] There you go.
[01:09:40] I thought I put him on here.
[01:09:41] Okay.
[01:09:42] Oh, shit.
[01:09:43] He's on there now.
[01:09:44] Is he?
[01:09:45] Is he there?
[01:09:46] No, he's not.
[01:09:47] No, he's not.
[01:09:48] He's not.
[01:09:48] That's why I'm saying I thought I put him on there.
[01:09:51] The movie was interesting.
[01:09:53] I'm like the only one who had any fun with it.
[01:09:55] And I know I'm psycholog for that.
[01:09:57] I'm just like, okay, so.
[01:10:00] Some people were miscast and the vision sucked, but it's kind of a fun stand alone vigilante
[01:10:06] movie.
[01:10:06] But whatever.
[01:10:07] Yeah.
[01:10:08] I don't know.
[01:10:10] I don't know what I've been told, but the Hitman movies are well.
[01:10:14] Well, uh, I think they're probably you could probably have more fun with the hitman movies
[01:10:20] because it's Max Payne is a pretty dark, pretty dark like story and story.
[01:10:26] Yeah, it might have been better as a TV show in all fairness, but I don't know.
[01:10:30] I think it was just it came out probably when we were having a lot of mainstream B movies
[01:10:36] like Punisher.
[01:10:38] All right.
[01:10:39] Next character.
[01:10:40] I got he's seven.
[01:10:43] Now work.
[01:10:44] It's actually the perfect year to although let's see this one came out a year after so
[01:10:49] 88 Muppet Madness.
[01:10:52] I'll put down great Gonzo.
[01:10:58] I have never heard of this.
[01:11:01] Mm hmm.
[01:11:02] I have neither.
[01:11:03] The 1988 VHS tape.
[01:11:05] You got 15 minutes on it now.
[01:11:06] Yeah.
[01:11:08] Yeah.
[01:11:08] Back when you had tapes that were, wow.
[01:11:12] Yep.
[01:11:13] Oh shit, the penguins are out.
[01:11:16] Nice.
[01:11:17] Cool, cool, cool.
[01:11:18] You're telling me the Muppets are the video game?
[01:11:21] Yeah.
[01:11:22] I was saying there was a treasure island one, but I didn't know if they had any.
[01:11:25] They had any.
[01:11:26] It's a view master interactive vision.
[01:11:29] Yep.
[01:11:30] Wow.
[01:11:31] View master.
[01:11:36] Interesting.
[01:11:39] They were all fucking around.
[01:11:41] I'm like, is there really one?
[01:11:42] Like some of the.
[01:11:43] Yeah, I'm looking at it.
[01:11:44] It's amazing.
[01:11:47] It's fascinating.
[01:11:48] I love it.
[01:11:50] Freaking Kermit isn't a Sherlock Holmes, Sam Spade.
[01:11:58] It's awesome.
[01:11:59] Well, some Muppet had to go on here and it wasn't freaking Elmo.
[01:12:02] So awesome.
[01:12:03] Thank Christ for that.
[01:12:04] The great Gonzo.
[01:12:08] People like what kind of a list is this?
[01:12:10] You're making shit up as you go.
[01:12:13] Hey, you know, we're trying to be open to everybody in it.
[01:12:18] We can't help it when some awesome movie and TV characters also happen to appear in awesome video games.
[01:12:24] Using their likeness to me.
[01:12:26] If you wanted, I could put Jack Bauer from 24 on here, but that's a very chunky video game.
[01:12:33] But to be fair, there are other computer CD games where you play as them.
[01:12:39] So you know what?
[01:12:40] Jack Bauer is going on this list.
[01:12:42] After Jack, I want to put down Alice from American McGee's Alice.
[01:12:49] American McGee's Alice.
[01:12:51] Yes, that one is massively underrated.
[01:12:54] And a cult classic.
[01:12:56] American McGee.
[01:12:57] And there's a sequel called Alice Madness Returns.
[01:13:00] That looks like one creepy kid.
[01:13:02] Oh, this.
[01:13:03] It looks like a silent hill.
[01:13:05] Yeah, yeah, yeah.
[01:13:06] It's really good.
[01:13:07] And I was very surprised by it.
[01:13:10] And people were trying to get a remastered.
[01:13:11] It's from Dallas, Texas?
[01:13:13] What the fuck?
[01:13:14] Was it not remastered?
[01:13:16] No, they didn't get the money for it, which really sucked.
[01:13:20] But then they did Alice Madness, right?
[01:13:22] Yeah, yeah.
[01:13:23] Madness Man.
[01:13:24] That's two Madnesses we got here.
[01:13:26] We got Muppet Madness and Alice Madness.
[01:13:30] Nice.
[01:13:31] Holy shit.
[01:13:34] Wow.
[01:13:35] Okay.
[01:13:36] And then I want to throw Tiny Tangle in there next.
[01:13:38] Time Tangle?
[01:13:39] Why does that seem...
[01:13:40] Tiny Tangle.
[01:13:42] Foul Mouth Little Tank.
[01:13:45] Is it Foul Mouth Little Tank?
[01:13:47] Mm-hmm.
[01:13:48] Tiny Tangle.
[01:13:49] It was a PS1 original.
[01:13:52] What?
[01:13:53] What the hell?
[01:13:54] Oh my...
[01:13:55] Whoa!
[01:13:57] No, Tiny Tangle.
[01:13:58] I guess it's either that or Leisure Suit Larry, I guess.
[01:14:00] Wow, okay.
[01:14:01] 1999.
[01:14:02] Tiny Tank.
[01:14:03] Holy shit.
[01:14:05] Yeah.
[01:14:05] One of my favorite games.
[01:14:06] I played Army Men and saw some of the Small Soldiers games.
[01:14:10] I had no idea.
[01:14:11] Yeah, this was funny as hell.
[01:14:13] I would hope it'd be funny as hell.
[01:14:15] There's a giant ass robot tank talking shit.
[01:14:18] Yeah, and he swears, but it's censored.
[01:14:21] Which was so fucking funny.
[01:14:23] Son of a...
[01:14:23] I loved it.
[01:14:24] Yeah, pretty much.
[01:14:26] T for T.
[01:14:27] You couldn't do Frog here.
[01:14:29] Not approve of this list.
[01:14:31] Shut up.
[01:14:31] Son of a bitch!
[01:14:34] Son of a bitch!
[01:14:35] Just piggy up my ass!
[01:14:36] Another underrated tank game that I used to play was Battle Tanks on N64.
[01:14:42] That was so good.
[01:14:43] Battle Tanks?
[01:14:45] Battle Tanks.
[01:14:47] Yes.
[01:14:49] I love that game.
[01:14:50] Oh my shit, there's a war to do with it.
[01:14:54] Oreo, you're in the army now.
[01:14:57] So, we're to number 91.
[01:15:02] Unless you're putting a character from that other tank game in here.
[01:15:06] No, there's no main character.
[01:15:07] There's no character.
[01:15:09] It could get re...
[01:15:10] I've watched a game movie for it and the story is very mature.
[01:15:15] But the whole premise is, you know, they go around in your tanks shooting shit and whatnot.
[01:15:21] What?
[01:15:22] Do you remember there was this Brothers in Arm World War II video game that was like a big hit on...
[01:15:28] Yeah, I remember that Brothers in Arm.
[01:15:30] And that was supposed to be...
[01:15:32] I kid you not.
[01:15:33] Like, it was such a big hit in 05.
[01:15:34] I remember in 07, 08, there was rumors that they wanted to turn it into like a movie with Denzel Washington as the lead.
[01:15:40] Oh, wow.
[01:15:41] Yeah, it started in 05.
[01:15:43] The first one that came out was Road to Hill 30.
[01:15:45] But yeah, Joe Red Hart's Rock.
[01:15:47] There you go.
[01:15:48] There's your character.
[01:15:49] There's my character.
[01:15:50] It's from Gearbox?
[01:15:51] Holy shit.
[01:15:52] Yes.
[01:15:53] That's four years before they did Borderlands.
[01:15:56] Wow.
[01:15:58] And Pandemic at the time was kind of one of the only ones coming out with games.
[01:16:02] So, it's so cool that some other gamers were...
[01:16:07] Game companies were coming up with these.
[01:16:09] Look at this.
[01:16:10] We're going military.
[01:16:11] I love it.
[01:16:12] We're in the army now.
[01:16:16] I don't know if there's anybody in Fallout that anyone's played as.
[01:16:21] I was trying to think of some Fallout characters.
[01:16:23] It's just that for some reason none of them stick out like...
[01:16:26] They suck!
[01:16:27] So much to me.
[01:16:29] Okay, suck is a bit of an extra term.
[01:16:33] Well, we can all agree that meat is at least worthy of being on the list.
[01:16:38] Meat?
[01:16:38] The dog.
[01:16:40] The dog.
[01:16:41] The dog meat.
[01:16:41] The dog meat.
[01:16:42] Can you play as him?
[01:16:43] Dog meat.
[01:16:45] I saw the character listed on the list, but can you actually play as him?
[01:16:51] Oh, that's the other thing, right?
[01:16:52] Playable characters.
[01:16:53] So, you're basically playing as yourself in Fallout games, aren't you?
[01:16:57] Yeah.
[01:16:58] You know what?
[01:17:01] Whoever the hell.
[01:17:03] That's not who's going to be able to say.
[01:17:05] Whoever the hell.
[01:17:12] I'm trying to see if there's any Medal of Honor characters because I played that a bunch on the CD-ROM.
[01:17:17] If we can't put the dog from Fallout, we can put the cat from Star.
[01:17:21] Because you play as the cat.
[01:17:23] Okay, perfect. The cat.
[01:17:24] Whoever the hell and the cat.
[01:17:26] The most popular character in Fallout is from New Vegas, the courier.
[01:17:32] Okay, the courier, the cat, and whoever the hell.
[01:17:36] Me.
[01:17:41] And I'm trying to look up some Medal of Honor characters and there's not many.
[01:17:44] Oh god, Medal of Honor is the first one.
[01:17:46] And what's so funny is, you'll love this Oreo, I would go undercover, like, pretending to be a Nazi while I kill the actual Germans and steal their spy stuff.
[01:17:55] But every once in a while I would commit some friendly fire and I got a big sword for my uncle.
[01:18:00] Shoot him in the balls?
[01:18:01] I wasn't that cold, but I ducked around.
[01:18:05] Set off a grenade by accident.
[01:18:07] I remember playing Medal of Honor.
[01:18:10] I used to shoot them in the head and their helmet would fly off and they're like, where's my helmet?
[01:18:16] And then I'd shoot them in the balls and then they'd grab their crotch and fall.
[01:18:20] Oh my word, you murderer.
[01:18:23] It was so funny.
[01:18:25] Oh god.
[01:18:26] Oh, good times.
[01:18:28] Good times.
[01:18:30] Okay, now that you've heard our psycho...
[01:18:34] Another one I just thought of from that timeframe.
[01:18:38] From that timeframe.
[01:18:40] Roll Tide!
[01:18:42] I guess Medal of Honor doesn't really count because you're technically playing real life people.
[01:18:46] You're just a soldier.
[01:18:47] Nah.
[01:18:49] This is funny.
[01:18:50] I think I actually have one that can go on this list.
[01:18:53] Are you next?
[01:18:54] Our savior!
[01:18:56] I'm just kidding.
[01:18:57] 95.
[01:18:58] It's from a game that defined, I think, a generation.
[01:19:02] Pokemon.
[01:19:04] I was putting red on it.
[01:19:06] That's because Digimon games are better.
[01:19:09] Yeah, for real.
[01:19:10] Oh, oh.
[01:19:12] Or red from Pokemon.
[01:19:13] Okay.
[01:19:14] I thought you were gonna say any Pokemon.
[01:19:19] Because technically you could play as any Pokemon.
[01:19:21] Yeah, how many entries does that count as?
[01:19:25] No, no, no, no.
[01:19:27] Just the main character, red.
[01:19:29] Yeah.
[01:19:31] See, guys, we're all inclusive.
[01:19:33] Mm-hmm.
[01:19:34] We're a happy family.
[01:19:36] It's a happy meal.
[01:19:37] Right.
[01:19:37] All right, after that, I got Sir Daniel Fortesk from Medieval, 1998.
[01:19:44] What the hell?
[01:19:46] PS1 original.
[01:19:48] Whoa!
[01:19:50] I was just thinking of that when we were talking about Medal of Honor.
[01:19:54] Daniel Fortesk.
[01:19:55] Yes, that motherfucker.
[01:19:58] I had so much to go.
[01:19:59] The hero of Gulliver!
[01:20:01] Playing that demo at Hill's Department Store back in the day.
[01:20:05] Oh, then we gotta put Duke Nukem on here, then.
[01:20:07] Even though he's an asshole.
[01:20:10] Even though there should be another game or a movie about him, but...
[01:20:15] What kind of sick motherfucker plays a wet feces?
[01:20:20] I don't know.
[01:20:22] That's one of his lines.
[01:20:23] I don't know why you're asking me, as if I would dare do something like that.
[01:20:32] Man, so we got three left.
[01:20:34] That's a good nostalgia in this fucking list.
[01:20:36] Three left?
[01:20:39] I'm gonna jump in with two then.
[01:20:42] I love it, man!
[01:20:45] Okay, we got two.
[01:20:46] I'm gonna go with two classics from Final Fantasy VII.
[01:20:51] I think we got one.
[01:20:52] I think we got one.
[01:20:55] And Tifa.
[01:20:57] Of course, Tifa.
[01:20:58] Yeah.
[01:20:59] Not to be confused with Latifa.
[01:21:03] Not to be confused with Latifa.
[01:21:05] There's only one Tifa.
[01:21:07] No one else.
[01:21:14] Oh, okay.
[01:21:15] I do have one technically that counts.
[01:21:17] I thought it didn't count, but now I think it counts.
[01:21:20] This is number 100, right?
[01:21:23] This is number 100.
[01:21:24] Oh, really?
[01:21:26] Wow.
[01:21:27] I'm rounding off the list.
[01:21:30] Lift.
[01:21:31] I'm picking Vaas.
[01:21:35] Vaas from the Far Cry games.
[01:21:37] He's technically a villain.
[01:21:40] Not playable.
[01:21:40] But they made a game where you play as him.
[01:21:46] Yes.
[01:21:47] He sounds so good.
[01:21:50] Love that motherfucker.
[01:21:53] But yeah, I always...
[01:21:54] I'm very talking about Far Cry.
[01:21:56] I'm talking about Far Cry.
[01:21:57] The movie sucked.
[01:21:59] But yeah, I always wanted to play those games.
[01:22:01] It was like a very realistic Pokemon.
[01:22:04] Not Pokemon Rambo.
[01:22:06] Yeah.
[01:22:07] Very touch.
[01:22:07] Oh yeah, yeah.
[01:22:08] It's very Rambo.
[01:22:09] Very, very Rambo.
[01:22:10] Very fun.
[01:22:11] Stop it, Rae.
[01:22:12] Stop it.
[01:22:18] Yeah, I've watched all the Far Cry movies.
[01:22:21] They were good.
[01:22:22] I couldn't believe how good the story arcs were for every game.
[01:22:26] I'm talking about the U-Ball movie that came out.
[01:22:28] That was awful.
[01:22:29] I haven't watched that one now.
[01:22:31] It was so like, what the fuck?
[01:22:34] Like...
[01:22:35] Don't you talk bad about Alarm in the dark.
[01:22:39] I didn't know there were Far Cry movies.
[01:22:42] Oreo.
[01:22:42] Besides the U-Ball.
[01:22:44] You're not gonna...
[01:22:44] No.
[01:22:45] We're not gonna have you all invade the chat this time.
[01:22:49] All right, children.
[01:22:51] Go time out.
[01:22:53] So man, that...
[01:22:55] That was quick.
[01:22:56] Thank you for coming.
[01:22:57] Bye, later.
[01:23:02] How do we feel now that we've validated everybody?
[01:23:05] We've gotten so many different audiences.
[01:23:07] We've gotten so many RPGs as well as fantasy worlds and campy...
[01:23:12] Trash-talking characters.
[01:23:15] As well as movie characters who appear in Game of Thrones.
[01:23:19] It's an interesting mix.
[01:23:21] It's an interesting mix, we'll say that.
[01:23:23] I was telling myself, I'm gonna either...
[01:23:25] I'm only gonna put James Bond.
[01:23:27] I'm not gonna put Jason Bourne.
[01:23:29] Even though the Bourne Conspiracy game was so...
[01:23:31] Was an awesome button masher.
[01:23:33] I'm not gonna put Jack Bauer.
[01:23:34] And then I'm like, you know what?
[01:23:35] I'm feeling naughty today.
[01:23:36] I'm putting Jack Bauer.
[01:23:38] You know, we left out a lot of the popular characters too.
[01:23:43] Which ones?
[01:23:44] Let's see.
[01:23:45] Mass Effect.
[01:23:46] World of Warcraft.
[01:23:49] Are they gonna come to my doorstep and shoot me like the insult shooters they are?
[01:23:54] No.
[01:23:55] But it's good that this list was diverse.
[01:23:58] Versus, you know, your usual fix.
[01:24:00] Because everybody was like, oh, let's do Shepard.
[01:24:04] Everybody wanted to talk about Shepard.
[01:24:06] And you're like, whoever, Resident Evil.
[01:24:09] And you're like...
[01:24:11] But those are more, I love the character and therefore I'm like, yeah.
[01:24:15] But do you actually like playing as them?
[01:24:17] Yeah, exactly.
[01:24:19] I like working as Sam in addition to seeing him be the...
[01:24:26] And again, we brought up Prince of Persia.
[01:24:28] That's a good example.
[01:24:29] People love the storyline and the character is mysterious and kind of a ninja in, you know,
[01:24:35] medieval crusades era, you know.
[01:24:38] So it was like, it's awesome.
[01:24:40] Yeah.
[01:24:43] Man.
[01:24:45] Fun times guys, fun times.
[01:24:47] Definitely.
[01:24:48] We didn't bring up any characters from GTA.
[01:24:50] GTA.
[01:24:51] I was...
[01:24:52] I thought we were gonna, but it seems like the problem with GTA is...
[01:24:56] There's too many.
[01:24:59] That and...
[01:25:00] They're kind of all agreeable.
[01:25:02] Because it's kind of all you got.
[01:25:04] Yeah.
[01:25:04] And also...
[01:25:06] To be fair...
[01:25:07] I swear that's not a letter kidding reference.
[01:25:10] To be fair.
[01:25:11] In many ways, like, the character is dependent on the player, you know what I mean?
[01:25:16] Like, they got their persona in the cinematics, but what you do with them kind of depends.
[01:25:20] What you do with them, yeah.
[01:25:21] You can like completely change who they are just by actions.
[01:25:25] I mean, yeah.
[01:25:26] You can be the nice version of this otherwise...
[01:25:30] Or you can just go fucking crazy, yeah.
[01:25:32] Pretty much.
[01:25:32] Oh, yeah.
[01:25:33] Like, to the point where you're basically literally just a serial killer going around...
[01:25:37] Killing cops and hookers.
[01:25:39] You're just like, okay.
[01:25:41] All three of you, all three characters are just trekkled.
[01:25:45] Yeah.
[01:25:46] They all blend together.
[01:25:48] And I know some people are gonna be like,
[01:25:49] Yeah, it's not true.
[01:25:50] Go second game.
[01:25:52] And I'm just gonna be like, hey, you know...
[01:25:55] We're not asking that you agree.
[01:25:57] We all have played Grand Theft Auto at one point or another.
[01:26:00] I was playing the fifth one at a filmmaker's house one time, and I'm like, I have to leave right now.
[01:26:05] I'm getting so many bad ideas.
[01:26:10] It was like, I gotta clear my mind.
[01:26:12] That was a shit ton of fun, but that was so much filth at the same time where you're like, I gotta take a nice cold shower.
[01:26:20] Drain that venom in that game.
[01:26:24] Oh, man.
[01:26:26] I'm not saying it's a bad game in any way, shape, or form.
[01:26:29] It's a lot of fun, but boy, how do you're like, oh, how do these people sleep at night?
[01:26:37] Fun though.
[01:26:38] Oh, fun as hell.
[01:26:39] Like there's a reason games like this exist.
[01:26:41] It takes out all the urges.
[01:26:42] Mm-hmm.
[01:26:45] Do it for real.
[01:26:45] But I love the list.
[01:26:46] The list is so good.
[01:26:48] Like, we came up with a lot of good choices.
[01:26:51] I also was just looking at it as like, how cinematic are these game characters, regardless of if there is a cinema version of said character?
[01:27:01] How...
[01:27:01] Why do you love...
[01:27:03] Like, it's gotta be a character you actually wanna finish the game and play through all the way instead of, yeah, yeah, I got the reference.
[01:27:11] Someone else.
[01:27:11] I was gonna add Borshack, but then I was like, nah.
[01:27:16] Cause he's cool and he's easily, he's an easy pick, but he can wait for whoever it was.
[01:27:22] It was a Watchmen video game?
[01:27:23] Yeah, The End Is Nigh.
[01:27:25] Wow.
[01:27:25] Yeah, that was a fun game.
[01:27:27] I like that.
[01:27:28] Wow.
[01:27:30] Yep.
[01:27:30] So, plus, Jack Bauer out.
[01:27:34] Plus Jack Bauer out.
[01:27:36] I'm sorry.
[01:27:37] We gotta put Sneak in the 24 reference.
[01:27:40] Hey, so, where can we find the video playlist on the interwebs outside of Instagram?
[01:27:48] Any other socials?
[01:27:49] So, the game playlist is available on YouTube mainly.
[01:27:52] You can also find it on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, pretty much anywhere you like listening to your favorite podcasts.
[01:28:00] I'll give you a subscribe.
[01:28:00] You can find the influence there.
[01:28:02] Just in case.
[01:28:03] Thank you.
[01:28:05] Yeah.
[01:28:09] Yeah.
[01:28:09] Thank you all for being here.
[01:28:10] Like, I was really looking forward to it.
[01:28:12] I was like, I had no idea where we're gonna go with this and...
[01:28:17] Sure enough.
[01:28:18] Very many different places.
[01:28:20] Yeah, it worked well.
[01:28:22] Yep.
[01:28:23] I would hope we work well.
[01:28:25] It takes five to make everything go right.
[01:28:29] Yeah, because I actually thought I was gonna be meeting you tonight and there was gonna be more people.
[01:28:34] But still, that's fun though.
[01:28:35] I can't rely on just you.
[01:28:39] I can, I can.
[01:28:43] But I just was like, yeah, we...
[01:28:45] However we're doing this, like, we gotta really come prepared and I can't just have it just go on and on and on.
[01:28:54] It's not gonna...
[01:28:56] We're gonna do every Marvel character that'll fill it up.
[01:28:59] Oh my word.
[01:28:59] Yes.
[01:29:00] That would have been the new version.
[01:29:02] Everyone would be like, why do you only have superheroes?
[01:29:05] Yeah.
[01:29:06] Yeah, it gets boring quickly.
[01:29:08] It was like, I could have put Superman, but was there really any good Superman game?
[01:29:13] I don't recall.
[01:29:15] N64's a classic.
[01:29:17] Oh, wow.
[01:29:19] Wow.
[01:29:20] Yeah.
[01:29:23] I mean, there's a ton of honorable mentions.
[01:29:26] There's Aloy from Horizon Zero Dawn.
[01:29:29] I know the Superman Returns video game was alright, from what I heard.
[01:29:36] But I don't know if he played it.
[01:29:39] I know my one friend Kenny's obsessed with it because he loves Brandon Ball's rendition.
[01:29:44] Oh my god!
[01:29:44] You killed Kenny!
[01:29:46] Yeah, pretty much.
[01:29:47] We didn't put any sub for our characters.
[01:29:50] No, don't.
[01:29:52] Who else?
[01:29:53] Heavenly Sword.
[01:29:53] When it started.
[01:29:56] Um...
[01:29:56] They were supposed to be a crossover with Heavenly Sword and God of War at one point.
[01:30:00] But that never happened.
[01:30:03] Wow.
[01:30:04] Yeah.
[01:30:05] Because they were the same family, just they didn't connect.
[01:30:09] I'm like, it's right there.
[01:30:15] Oh well.
[01:30:16] A Witchblade video game would have been nice too, but I don't think they ever made one or even got around to that.
[01:30:21] Yeah.
[01:30:23] Wow.
[01:30:25] Man, this is fucking fun.
[01:30:27] I like this shit.
[01:30:29] Good stuff.
[01:30:30] Good stuff, guys.
[01:30:31] Thank you.
[01:30:32] Thank you very much.
[01:30:33] Anytime.
[01:30:34] Thank you very much.
[01:30:35] And so yes, for those listening, check out the gameplay list.
[01:30:41] Thank you.
[01:30:42] Yeah.
[01:30:43] Welcome back anytime.
[01:30:44] Once a month.
[01:30:45] Once a month.
[01:30:47] Conquering one game at a time.
[01:30:49] Yeah.
