[00:00:23] He's on a hunting trip. He hasn't been home in a few days. Before I was done hunting. May a Friday, September 24th.

[00:01:28] Why the hell was Supernatural on for so fucking long? Oh, it's a good show. I checked out a bit of- You know, the guy that was a co-creator on that created The Tick, I think. Yeah. Well, and then he went on to write Revolution. The show or the comic? The TV show, but yeah, there were comics. The TV show. Bill Edmund did the comic book. Yeah. But he also got into the television. There was also an anime for Supernatural, too.

[00:01:55] Yeah, but yeah, Eric Krepp was like the main writer and then he left after a while and he oversaw two other awesome shows like Revolution and The Boys. It is so funny how even when there was like episodes I didn't care for and there's other seasons I did care, like my sister and mother aren't horror people, but I got it. It was pretty much like Phantasm where you got these two bros that are on the road every day going after all these unsung evils. Yeah. They had all these X-Files directors. They had all these other just crazy things.

[00:02:23] And then next thing you know, you just see all kinds of people just quoting it. I'm like, where's that from? Oh, from Supernatural. You seen it? So I think this is it. Shall I bring my wife in on this? Sure. Because I'll watch. No, she's in the next room and she's a Supernatural fan. Let's do it. I'm going to say that yeah, Ben Edmund probably added a lot of the humor to it. Why does Supernatural fucking rock? I don't know. It's hard to explain, but it's one of the coolest shows.

[00:02:50] 93% on Rotten Tomatoes, 8.4 on IMDb. I think it had a perfect mixture of humor and drama. Of course. Of course. Awesome. And I mean, Crowley himself, you know, he was the pinnacle of humor and Castiel. It's so wild how then they bring Lassie from Psych on there eventually as Kane. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:03:18] It's a who's who of Canada if you haven't seen them on Stargate. I honestly think it has a lot to do with you don't know what to expect. You're there for the ride. You know, it's going to be worth the time. You just don't know what to expect whether it's, you know, tear jerking, you know, they killed my mother. Prepare to die or, you know, the romance. Well, you know, part of that was they expanded beyond the monster of the week thing. Yeah. Yeah.

[00:03:48] Because they, they, with certain ones, they kept going like with Abaddon. Mm hmm. You know, that was an ongoing storyline and same thing with the dark, the darkness. I can't remember the name. It's so funny. I, I would be, whenever my sister saw Jim Beaver in another show, she'd be like, hey, adopted dad. Yeah. Yeah. Before he becomes the weapons dealer on Breaking Bad.

[00:04:18] I wish I could have seen more of Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Oh yeah. That was definitely the first one I saw him in. And I'm like, why is this guy not a bigger star? He knows all the cues. He knows how to play a tragic hero. The dude can cry. Oh yeah. Yeah. Yeah. And I liked it when they kind of brought the, brought Lucille to supernatural. Okay. Yeah. What was Lucille? I can't see. I just saw that from Walking Dead. Yeah.

[00:04:48] Wasn't what's it wasn't. I might be getting confused here, but the blonde angel lady was that. The blonde angel lady. Well, which one? Super Stargate or the blonde angel? Uh, let me look it up. God damn it. No, see, this is awesome. We tried to validate. Are you talking about Miller? You're talking about Joe? Joe Harville? There was kind of a blonde angel I thought that took over in heaven for a bit. Yeah, yeah. I think you're thinking of Joanna. Yeah.

[00:05:18] Or Beth. Yeah. Joe Harville, I think. Yeah. I like the show. Like half of it is mythos. Half of it's the main story. And it just got so overwhelming after a while. And then you could see the pattern that was unfolding with it every season. Beginning of it was the main story for a few episodes. And then midway, it was the mythos. Yeah. It's still an awesome show. Yeah. Alicia Day was on there. Oh yeah. Charlie. Yeah.

[00:05:48] Adriana Palicki. Emily Swallow, voice actress. Mitch Palicki. Who knew Andrew, what you recall was going to be the next. Sterling K. Brown was on there. Lauren Cohen can marry me any day. Yeah. Linda Blair's, Linda Blair's episode was, was hilarious. Cause at the end he's like, you want to get some pea soup? Oh my God. And that's just it. There'd always be those zingers. It's like, how'd we get here? And how are we going to wrap this up? The one I liked is the one, the one I've started a little,

[00:06:18] is the one where the one had the wish, like you could wish anything. And the little kid like becomes like the strong Superman type. And he's like, you know, before Todd. That just did. It always had those comic book-esque lines. That's why I thought Ben Inland had a lot to do with it. Yeah. I think there was, there was some sort of like, there was like a cartoon animation. Yeah. Oh, I love the anime. Scooby natural. No, no, no. That's right. Yeah.

[00:06:45] The one with, with, with, with, with Mike Farrell, when he was the guy who thinks everything in cartoons. Yeah. And he doesn't talk. He just thinks of everything in cartoons. So people are dying. Like, like they do in the, in the, in the cartoons, like a safe falls on somebody, you know, like all this shit happens. So I think there was a lot of like, like what I like to call curve ball episodes. Yeah. Break the fourth wall. Kind of like, well, no, it's like you, you have, you're building up this one point

[00:07:12] and then there's this one episode where it just goes, you know, like, Oh, you know, like, okay, we're, we're, we're going to get you up to this point, but you know, let's just put this little episode here for you just to like ease your mind a little bit. What's going to happen next? You know, so. Don't think about it too hard. There was one where it's like, it begins with like a Trisha Helper, you know, number from Lucifer and Battlestar as a gal like dies. And then she has to come into terms with the fact that yeah, I'm a ghost. Now there is no going back. I'm hoping I'm not confusing with anything, but did supernatural do a thing where they treated supernatural like it was a TV show?

[00:07:42] Yeah. I think there was a meta. There was a bunch of meta episodes. There's one where they do like a CSI type crappy cop. That means. Um, Oh God. Verified facts by my wife. Thank you very much. We're going to give you a hat trick. Gabriel put them in the, in the different TV shows. Yeah. There was one like Grayson. That's a CSI. That's what I was. Yeah.

[00:08:13] No, there was one that was actually based on them and they had to go solve a murder on the set of. Yeah. Filming. Oh my God. I'm a painted whore. Well, let's not rush decisions. Oh my God. How did we get here? How did we get here? They find out about the comic book writer too. That's right in their story. God. Yeah. Chuck. Yeah. Chuck. Yeah. Chuck that ends up becoming God. Yeah. He was always God.

[00:08:42] He was always God. I heard that in Shatner's voice. What is God? What is this? What does God mean with a storyboard? With a freaking storyboard. What does God mean with Jack Kirby? Jack Kirby is God. In many people's minds he is. Yeah. Jack Kirby is God. What does Stan Lee? That makes him. Oh, yeah. Jesus Christ. You know, that's another thing with supernatural. They got away with. I mean. So much go on network TV. You're like. Yeah.

[00:09:12] And people are watching it. They were treating God as a villain. Yeah. I didn't hear a single Christian parent call in. They must've just not gotten it. They just thought, hey, it's a demon show. Don't think about it. Let me think about preacher, how they messed up that so much from the comic book. Yeah. That was disappointing. I still got to finish this show. Well, there was another show that was on call. Remember a fire. It was a fire and brimstone. Remember that one? Oh, wait. Yeah. I think it was called brimstone. Yeah.

[00:09:41] The guy who was the one half of that guy was in just one of the boys. He was the guy who liked James Brown. He was. Yeah. That was by the tells from the crypt movie guys. Yeah. Yeah. That also had John Glover. Hey. But that, that was part of that whole WB, you know, powerhouse. Dude. What it was. Small mills. Supernatural. Before they got oversaturated with crappy soaps and other connections. Yeah.

[00:10:09] Thursday, the two hour series finale event. Yeah. I just want to say thank you. See how it all started. You love this? That's enough. And watch how it all ends. Here's to running into you guys on the other side. Supernatural two hour series finale next Thursday, eight, seven central only on the CW. I enjoy the people who say they don't watch their work. And then they have children while they're filming the shows. Yeah. And then the children age out.

[00:10:37] That has been my favorite through Supernatural. Yes. These kids who were, who were brought into this world because of Supernatural. I can't escape it. Are now watching it with the, and now, now the parents, now Jensen and Jared and Misha are all like, oh, I have to actually sit down and watch this. Fine, you win, son. Yes. You win, daughter. You get to hog the TV. Supernatural is way too long. Like, you know, for me it's a big time to get Supernatural. Like what, 15 seasons? Like how much? Hey! 15 seasons.

[00:11:07] But you know what? It is, it is intimidating when you look at that from that approach. Like, oh my God, 15 seasons. How will I ever start? But if you watch the first two episodes, I genuinely think that anyone who enjoyed X-Files would watch Supernatural, because you can see all the influences and you see all the actors. Yes. You see Mr. Fledgy. You see Mark Shepard. You see all these amazing people who are in X-Files and are now in Supernatural.

[00:11:36] And now when they come to the cons, the X-Files people find them and you get to ask these questions. It's not a rivalry. It's a, you're, you're, you're my cousin. You know, you're my, you're my half brother, you know? Yeah. That's the perfect way to put it. Kind of like the Stargate guys, except all the other space opera guys, but they also accept some of the other serialized kind of X-Files type peoples.

[00:12:00] But then you see, yeah, you see it with some of the cartoon panels are welcome to have some of the anime guys on. It's like it. It's just kind of like how you used to get Westerns or spaghetti Westerns. And now you get people just say Western. Yes. You know, any kind of Western is welcome here. So it doesn't have to be. It's like we, it kind of reminds you about all the gatekeepers. It's like there's no such thing. It never was.

[00:12:29] But if you want to, you can, but it shouldn't be. No, absolutely. And it even goes into when I pitch a show, I'm like, I was actually getting this a lot with Ted Lasso. I was getting people are like, that reminds me kind of one of those other worker comedies like Scrubs. I'm like, well, that's the main writer creators. That would be why. It's funny because like I said, if there's a supernatural actor, I'm going to hunt them down. So I've seen, you know, Mitch Fletcher. What if?

[00:12:59] That's an or. Yeah. What if Mark Shepard, his angel character? What if that was the origin story when he was on X-Files? Hey. You know, Mark and I have had many conversations. They should. The funny thing about supernatural is as many times as somebody has been to a con. I have talked to them about every role they've ever done. And I have talked Mark's ear off about X-Files. I've never been to a con.

[00:13:24] So next time you talk to Mark Shepard, can you ask him, A, why he had such a cool dad who was a voice artist for Transformers and B, how did he go from setting people on fire on X-Files to being an angel in supernatural? And in between there, he was a guy with an eye patch on Battlestar. I'm going to correct you. Yeah. He was no angel in supernatural. He was the little king of hell. Yes. The king of hell. Sorry. I'm not phrasing it right.

[00:13:52] And then, and then as, and then riddle me this. How did he take over an airport on 24? Well, how did he rob a bank in Burn Notice? Oh, there you go. Yeah. He's going to tell you, I can tell you what he'll say. He's got this, he's got this great accent and he'll, he'll just look to you. He'll deadpan you. And he's like money. Yes. He will tell you straight up money. He's fucking awesome that way. And a lot of these actors are.
