[00:02:17] [SPEAKER_01]: We're talking about Roger Cormans SyFy Channel Spayred.

[00:02:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Dino Croc and SuperGATOR franchise. Yes, that's the fucking name.

[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_01]: So it all started back in O4.

[00:02:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I remember seeing the premiere of this on SyFy Channel and just being like,

[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_01]: This is not making good use of anything and why are there free writers attached to this?

[00:02:43] [SPEAKER_01]: I know it got an R rating for Gore, but I don't recall it being that gristle.

[00:02:50] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's just a very dark movie, a kid dies.

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_01]: It's just kind of just not that fun.

[00:02:59] [SPEAKER_01]: It included costus mandalar who's best known for a lot of serial killer movies,

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_01]: erotic thrillers and recurring roles on shows like TNT's The Last Ship.

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_01]: It had Charles Napier, it's right, Ramotoo,

[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_01]: and Austin Powers guy has a sheriff that had Bruce Weids from illustrate blues as the doctor

[00:03:25] [SPEAKER_01]: and Max Perlick. Yes, right, the flag of the home side life on the street is one of the deputies

[00:03:31] [SPEAKER_01]: and join a pack of a yep, join a run by Gorehe Park and Tombstone as a

[00:03:46] [SPEAKER_01]: one of the other town inhabitants.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_01]: It was an interestingly designed and watchable, but just didn't really deliver.

[00:04:01] [SPEAKER_01]: And of course, given a beam movie, they can't tell the difference between paleontologists who deal with fossils

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_01]: and instead they call the character archeologists.

[00:04:10] [SPEAKER_01]: It's like, you might want to get that figured out.

[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, I remember reviews, I remember some people saying, hey, take it as camp, I'm like,

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_01]: but it was pretty weak by camp, like it just kind of made me wish that Carmen's company

[00:04:30] [SPEAKER_01]: could have spent more time on this instead of just taking their sweet time and just rushing it out.

[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, all together it was a watchable but on impressive franchise, it was then followed by supergator in 2007.

[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_01]: So this was the last of the ones I saw and I didn't realize they were related until much later.

[00:05:02] [SPEAKER_01]: But yeah, it was a just camp spectacular, it had Brad's Johnston from fly the intruder and those cheesy left behind movies.

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_01]: And that killing Miguelis, you know, way faster prime from top gun and maiden heaven in the accused.

[00:05:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And it just wasn't a good luck and it also had Bianca Lawson from Buffy.

[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_01]: And lo and behold, the Schluck, myster himself for this 2007 was Brian Clyde who again was just another independent filmmaker doing some small mystery movies

[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_01]: and he caught the attention of Roger Corman and has since done other crap for him like Operation Rogue, what was other men on a mission movies.

[00:06:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, this was solid just again very low budget and much to be desired but it cut the mustard as long as you go in just not expecting much of anything.

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_01]: And I once again, you know, it was on sci-file the time and so they followed it up with E.Dino Crock for supergator now and here they bring in the one, the only.

[00:06:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Like it's a two director thing but it's mainly attributed to Jim Winnorsky.

[00:06:38] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right, Mr. B movie guy, best known from crap is the lost empire to stock the two.

[00:06:45] [SPEAKER_01]: And the witches of breastwork, yes, that's the movie.

[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_01]: And as well as a chopping mall and he's now still working for Charles Bands full moon company but it's just interesting how he's.

[00:07:06] [SPEAKER_01]: We're done just all other kinds of crazy stuff like final embrace house for and be smashed or two in 976 evil too.

[00:07:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, it was just interesting to seeing how he's just always made use of his crazy budgets.

[00:07:24] [SPEAKER_01]: This one uses a bunch of stock but it's from Dino Crock but it's okay because there's plenty of new stuff as well.

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_01]: It's one of David Carradine's final movies.

[00:07:35] [SPEAKER_01]: It has a bunch of other B movie actors and soap opera guys but this one went pretty fast and.

[00:07:43] [SPEAKER_01]: Jim Winnorsky even appears on screen so he pulls his his cox going his own.

[00:07:48] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, director cameo.

[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's you know, it just went very, very fast.

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't have any issues with it.

[00:07:59] [SPEAKER_01]: I didn't feel like they didn't make could use of their material. I thought there's just fun.

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Very fun.

[00:08:07] [SPEAKER_01]: That's all like an ass because I see some of the other people who will just rush these movies and you just don't feel like they want to be here.

[00:08:16] [SPEAKER_01]: But now this may good use of the camp and went by really, really fast.

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_01]: And believe or not,

[00:08:28] [SPEAKER_01]: Tony Randall that's right.

[00:08:32] [SPEAKER_01]: How razor to and children of the night director decided to be the editor for this and he's been working a lot with Roger Corman and Jim Winnorsky.

[00:08:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm going to use it as talent but.

[00:08:45] [SPEAKER_01]: He's a very cool guy.

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_01]: And we've never seen him in interviews and to be fair, he worked for new world teachers.

[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Corman's company back in the day, snipping trailers so I guess he's just right at home, but.

[00:08:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, the characters and this don't get him the way and it's a total was just straight up just.

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_01]: Just she alluded to all those monster movies.

[00:09:08] [SPEAKER_01]: We just got Zilla type camp and they're using this this fun for being movie lovers, the locations are nice.

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_01]: nice and it's fun seeing all the bad guys meet their come up and spy the creatures.

[00:09:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And, despite limited budget I'm not gonna lie, the final fight was fun.

[00:09:27] [SPEAKER_01]: It was what I looked for in this kind of sci-fi channel stuff before they went all, you know,

[00:09:33] [SPEAKER_01]: contracting, you know, stupid companies like the asylum to make all the shard and

[00:09:38] [SPEAKER_01]: NATO stuff that was just too much.

[00:09:39] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't like it when any B movie is intentionally bad.

[00:09:42] [SPEAKER_01]: I wanted to actually be just a fun time.

[00:09:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Hi, I'm D.B. in Wikipedia.

[00:09:48] [SPEAKER_01]: They claimed that Roger Corman's spin off of this was Dino Shark.

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_01]: I think that's bullshit.

[00:09:53] [SPEAKER_01]: I think he just put Dino on the top of it.

[00:09:56] [SPEAKER_01]: It has no correlation to any of these free-moveies.

[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Why would you even think so when it's the nighter related to Dino Croc or Supergayer?

[00:10:06] [SPEAKER_01]: This is much like, well, well-wifed versus Shark to post another common feature low-loin,

[00:10:13] [SPEAKER_01]: like Lake Placin versus Anaconda, a Sony venture.

[00:10:18] It's...

[00:10:18] [SPEAKER_01]: In fact it goes all the way back, you know, sci-fi channel already made a killing doing stuff like

[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_01]: Boa versus Python and it's much of the same stuff.

[00:10:26] [SPEAKER_01]: And if you like that kind of stuff, eat this right up.

[00:10:29] [SPEAKER_01]: No pun.

[00:10:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Have fun with them.

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_01]: And just, you know, don't expect much.

[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_01]: You don't have to watch them in any particular order.

[00:10:38] [SPEAKER_01]: You can get them on sure pretty cheap on any streaming site or on DVD.

[00:10:44] [SPEAKER_01]: There might even be a Blu-ray of one of these movies out there.

[00:10:48] [SPEAKER_01]: I definitely think Dino Croc and Supergayer got the Blu-ray treatment last night checked.

[00:10:53] [SPEAKER_01]: Since it was 2011, and that was becoming a thing.

[00:10:55] [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know if there's any special features, but if there is,

[00:10:59] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sure it's entertaining as when Orsky is notable for having his self-deprecating

[00:11:03] [SPEAKER_01]: and mocking directors commentaries where he makes fun of his movie mistakes and how

[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_01]: she pees and other cool indie movie trivia that's inspiring for filmmakers like us.

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_01]: And movie buffs.

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_01]: All together, this runs pretty well.

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_01]: And it's kind of delivered the creature feature action that Corman has become unannamous with.

[00:11:34] [SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's a very good one.

[00:11:36] [SPEAKER_01]: And I think it's a solid vs movie.

[00:11:37] [SPEAKER_01]: Yep, I'm going there.

[00:11:40] [SPEAKER_01]: It's not gonna win any prizes and that's okay.

[00:11:42] [SPEAKER_01]: It wasn't trying to.

[00:11:44] [SPEAKER_01]: It never intended to.

[00:11:46] [SPEAKER_01]: It's just...

[00:11:47] [SPEAKER_01]: After just seeing so many other movies, just wasted potential.

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_01]: I have fun with these kinds of movies, especially when I keep getting so disappointed

[00:11:55] [SPEAKER_01]: and watching big budget movies that don't make use of any other talent on this place.

[00:12:02] [SPEAKER_01]: So yeah, eat it up, have fun with it, and don't expect anything above, you know, low brow.

[00:12:11] [SPEAKER_01]: It's spermly-findin' in low brow and it wears it that flag with shameless appeal.
