Gremlins Sequels Pitch Meeting Special

The crew was back to do another Gremlins/unofficial Christmas themed episode so we decided to pitch sequels to this bad boy franchise.

Our pitches include:

*a Jurassic Park crossover

*any chance for them to co-star with Ryan Reynolds, Samuel L. Jackson & fight Hobgoblins

*parodies of popular media (including The Matrix, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Good Will Hunting & Home Shopping Network)

*and how they'll eventually be set in space!

[00:00:13] Remember the last time we told you not to feed them after midnight? We told you to keep them away from the light. And the most important warning of all, we told you to never, ever get them wet. You didn't listen.

[00:00:34] We loaded it. We edited it.

[00:01:16] Sometimes we get so deep into conversation that we have separate segments worthy of their own place in the sun.

[00:01:24] In the episode.

[00:01:33] I was quoting it for years, freaking out my siblings who didn't want to see it. I'm like, gizmo, caca.

[00:01:52] It came out in 84.

[00:01:53] 84, same year as Temple of Doom got criticized as being Doomfile.

[00:01:58] Imagine if they made a versus movie with Jurassic Park because of that Spielberg connection.

[00:02:03] It won't happen, but it'd be fun to think about. I'd like to think this is in the same universe as Ghostbusters or something else kind of campy.

[00:02:12] So I have a question for you all.

[00:02:15] So I was doing a little bit of digging and there's supposedly talks of the third movie being made.

[00:02:25] What are y'all's kind of thoughts on that?

[00:02:29] They're like, it is going to be, it's been in limbo forever.

[00:02:33] Is it actually, is there a report now?

[00:02:37] It last, from the latest update that I saw, they were talking about there.

[00:02:43] I think they're still trying to get it done, but if it does get done, it should be coming out next year.

[00:02:51] Is it Joe Dauntie behind this in any way?

[00:02:54] I couldn't really find too much information on it.

[00:02:59] What I was saying earlier is he kind of said the TV show was kind of the third movie, but if they're going by Chris Columbus's script, which apparently would actually end up with Gizmo sacrificing himself and saving people, I'd be okay with that.

[00:03:14] It just, I'd be more worried about the Helmsman.

[00:03:17] Just do a fun sequel.

[00:03:20] Don't worry about homages and doing throwbacks.

[00:03:22] Just do a true sequel, you know?

[00:03:25] Yeah.

[00:03:26] Oh, sorry.

[00:03:27] Go ahead.

[00:03:27] Go ahead.

[00:03:28] Does Phoebe Cates even act anymore?

[00:03:30] No, she's retired.

[00:03:31] No, she's retired pretty much.

[00:03:32] Zach Galligan's still working.

[00:03:34] He would probably show up for a cameo.

[00:03:36] I'm okay if they want to introduce new people and just, if they want to use a little bit of CGI.

[00:03:41] I mean.

[00:03:42] Yeah.

[00:03:43] Christopher Columbus stated in 2020 that the script exists, but it was stuck in development hell.

[00:03:51] Um, and it was been there for, uh, you know, years.

[00:03:56] Um, but like everything that I can kind of find is like, it's not happening yet.

[00:04:07] Um, but they still want it to happen.

[00:04:10] I'm down.

[00:04:12] Just don't overdo it.

[00:04:14] Just get in, get out, you know, just have a fun time making it.

[00:04:17] I don't, you know, hopefully Warner Brothers will stay out of it.

[00:04:23] Cause I know they've been killing a lot of movies lately.

[00:04:26] Um, that, so that would be my concern.

[00:04:28] If they want to send it straight to HBO Max, I'm okay with that too.

[00:04:32] I just don't, don't shoot on the fans, you know, just have fun.

[00:04:37] You know, if they want to make an R rated, that might actually still be okay.

[00:04:42] Would you rather be a two hour movie or like an eight episode Prestige TV miniseries?

[00:04:49] I mean, that's kind of what the prequel cartoon show is.

[00:04:51] I mean, but, but yeah, they're, they're thinking just a 90 minute movie, I think.

[00:04:57] I mean, if they do do the movie, I hope they don't do it like they did with the banana splits.

[00:05:05] That's true.

[00:05:08] Become a true horror film or something.

[00:05:11] I mean, in a way, I feel like movies like Lake Placid and Cocaine Bear are definitely Gremlins influenced.

[00:05:19] No, if they ever, if they do do a third Gremlins movie, if they're trying to tap into the zit guys for this decade,

[00:05:28] they'd probably have to run off and be superheroes or something.

[00:05:31] And then they attack William Shatner on a plane.

[00:05:33] Oh, wait.

[00:05:35] Well, him and John Lithgow.

[00:05:37] Yeah.

[00:05:38] Or Samuel L. Jackson.

[00:05:41] Yes.

[00:05:41] Samuel L. Jackson.

[00:05:42] And then, and he'll say something like, nah, I thought it was motherfucking snakes.

[00:05:46] He has the only up-bomb machine.

[00:05:47] I'm tired of these motherfucking goblins on this motherfucking plane.

[00:05:51] That's a gremlin, asshole.

[00:05:52] Shut up.

[00:05:53] I mean, make you just steal what they talked about in Jurassic World and just send the gremlins to fight wars in third world countries.

[00:06:00] Chris Brad shows up and he's like, yeah, Chris Brad shows up and he's like, I don't have a death trap or a gun able to take out this much mini creatures.

[00:06:10] What do you want to do, Sam Jackson?

[00:06:12] Don't you look, and they could do some, if they want to sneak in some Avengers jokes or other shit, that's fine.

[00:06:17] But like, yeah.

[00:06:19] I'm telling you, gremlins versus Jurassic Park would be a great versus match.

[00:06:24] You know, I just flashed on.

[00:06:27] Do you want to fight like one elephant or a thousand ducks?

[00:06:31] I mean, that's basically one.

[00:06:32] Yes.

[00:06:35] I just flashed on somebody fighting gremlins in a movie not too long ago, and it was World War II.

[00:06:42] It's like based on the myth of, you know, gremlins and airplanes.

[00:06:47] Yeah.

[00:06:47] And it had, it's like, what's her name?

[00:06:49] Who played Hit Girl maybe?

[00:06:51] It was in this movie.

[00:06:52] I can't remember what it was called.

[00:06:53] Oh.

[00:06:54] And it takes place in World War II.

[00:06:55] And she's fighting a gremlin on this plane.

[00:06:58] Yes.

[00:06:58] Or gremlins.

[00:06:59] The Chloe Moritz, it was, I think, it wasn't the fifth wave.

[00:07:02] It was that other movie you're talking about.

[00:07:05] And she was actually in the live action Tom and Jerry movie recently.

[00:07:09] I know what you're talking about.

[00:07:10] Yeah.

[00:07:10] It was a weird apocalyptic movie kind of.

[00:07:13] And she, yeah, a creature jumps on her plane.

[00:07:17] Shadow in the Cloud.

[00:07:18] That's what it was.

[00:07:19] Yeah.

[00:07:19] Which is an homage to Bugs Bunny cartoon.

[00:07:23] Ah, that's right.

[00:07:25] But it's so funny how you brought up Lithgow.

[00:07:27] He, back when Shatner was on Third Rock in the Sun, they are on a plane briefly.

[00:07:31] And since Lithgow was in the Twilight Zone movie, which is a remake of that episode,

[00:07:36] they both are referencing it loosely.

[00:07:38] Yeah, they both freak out on the plane.

[00:07:40] Yeah.

[00:07:40] Yeah.

[00:07:40] At the same time.

[00:07:41] That was fun.

[00:07:43] See, I always, in my mind, I always thought for the Twilight Zone movie,

[00:07:49] wait, was it?

[00:07:50] Yeah.

[00:07:51] No.

[00:07:52] Yeah, the airplane scene.

[00:07:53] I always thought it was a gremlin that was on the airplane destroying it.

[00:07:59] Perfect.

[00:07:59] Like, for the longest time.

[00:08:01] Because, like, you only kind of briefly see it and flashing and whatnot.

[00:08:05] And, like, you know, I was scared when it came out.

[00:08:08] So I always thought it was a gremlin that was attacking the airplane.

[00:08:12] Much like Arnold, a gremlin makes every movie better.

[00:08:15] I mean, like, put Gizmo in the Temple of Doom with Indy.

[00:08:20] You know, that movie's even more awesome.

[00:08:22] You know, like, it's just...

[00:08:25] Put him on the holodeck misbehaving with the Star Trek crew.

[00:08:28] Yeah, it's perfect.

[00:08:30] Put one of the goofy gremlins.

[00:08:32] Not Gizmo.

[00:08:33] Put one of the goofy...

[00:08:34] No, put him on a holodeck.

[00:08:35] He'll probably make out with a Tribble.

[00:08:38] Yes, it all comes back to Tribbles.

[00:08:43] Yeah.

[00:08:44] At least, there was actually an amazing t-shirt I saw for sale.

[00:08:49] I don't know who made it.

[00:08:51] But they basically made it look like Gizmo was going all Yoda with a green lightsaber chopping up evil gremlins.

[00:08:58] I'm like, I want that fucking t-shirt.

[00:09:00] I want that t-shirt.

[00:09:01] I want that t-shirt.

[00:09:05] And I couldn't find it as soon as I clicked on it.

[00:09:07] I'm like, damn it.

[00:09:12] I don't know what it is also lately.

[00:09:13] I've been seeing people who want to go to a movie, but they haven't seen the first one.

[00:09:16] It's like, good grief.

[00:09:18] I saw people doing that with the latest Blade Runner.

[00:09:20] They're like, oh, I'm going to just watch the...

[00:09:22] And it's like, if this was freaking, like, Halloween or Star Wars,

[00:09:26] you wouldn't even be thinking twice about watching the first few movies.

[00:09:29] What the hell?

[00:09:32] What's going on here?

[00:09:33] About 100%.

[00:09:34] Yeah, no.

[00:09:36] That kind of gets on me a little bit when you come across those people that, you know,

[00:09:43] never saw the original stuff and they don't know the original content.

[00:09:47] They're doing it just to be hip and cool.

[00:09:49] I mean, shit.

[00:09:50] I was 13 when everybody had seen all the Matrix and Fight Club type movies.

[00:09:56] And I was like, you know, Scream even was another popular one,

[00:09:59] especially in theater class.

[00:10:01] That was fun.

[00:10:01] But I was just like, hey, you know, it's okay.

[00:10:04] You know, we'll all see it at different ages and everything.

[00:10:06] We can all like all kinds of things.

[00:10:08] I was the odd duckling who everyone was like, what's Monty Python?

[00:10:12] I'm like, well, it was Mad TV of its day and age.

[00:10:16] Man, love Monty Python.

[00:10:18] Miss Mad TV as well.

[00:10:19] Yes.

[00:10:20] Oh, could you imagine Will Sasso?

[00:10:23] Oh, man.

[00:10:26] That'd be fantastic.

[00:10:27] Deborah Wilson could do a voiceover too.

[00:10:29] Oh, hell no.

[00:10:31] Will Sasso did a spoof movie of 300.

[00:10:35] I can't remember what it was called.

[00:10:37] Oh, I saw that.

[00:10:38] Meet the Spartans.

[00:10:39] I love that.

[00:10:40] Meet the Spartans, yeah.

[00:10:40] No, no, no.

[00:10:41] This was a different one.

[00:10:42] Like this was a.

[00:10:43] Like or maybe something Maximus or something like that.

[00:10:47] That's what it was.

[00:10:47] Oh, that's Awesimus Maximus.

[00:10:49] That was it.

[00:10:50] And you guys mentioned Gremlins earlier.

[00:10:53] What if they did an awesome like Gremlins like parody of something like Gladiator or

[00:10:57] The Running Man where they're all hunting each other?

[00:11:01] Like they're hunt or be hunted and like us.

[00:11:04] I mean, apparently there's a new Running Man movie coming out in a year or two.

[00:11:08] We don't know.

[00:11:08] Yeah, we don't know what'll happen.

[00:11:11] The Purge movies are pretty close to being a hard target type franchise.

[00:11:15] You know, John Wick.

[00:11:16] There you go.

[00:11:16] You know.

[00:11:16] There you go.

[00:11:18] Gizmo watches the John Wick movies and then has to defeat evil Emperor Gremlin in Roman

[00:11:26] time.

[00:11:27] He does.

[00:11:28] Yeah.

[00:11:28] Gizmo runs around doing that gun, gun foo stuff that.

[00:11:31] Marty McFly comes from the future, you know.

[00:11:36] I will both remake innocent movies.

[00:11:39] I won't do it.

[00:11:43] Time to go to bed.

[00:11:46] Bobby, we gotta go back.

[00:11:49] We got to go.

[00:11:50] No.

[00:11:51] Get to the DeLorean.

[00:11:56] Oh, there you go.

[00:11:57] He could also be hunting a Predator type creature that's like invisible.

[00:12:02] Oh my God.

[00:12:04] I'm sorry.

[00:12:05] That would be hilarious to have Gizmo versus the Predator.

[00:12:09] Aliens versus Predator versus Griblins.

[00:12:13] Ripley's like, I lost everybody and Hicks is injured.

[00:12:18] Who do I look to?

[00:12:19] And she looks to this little fluffy critter.

[00:12:20] He's like, hello.

[00:12:21] No.

[00:12:24] Gremlins versus critters versus Hobgoblins.

[00:12:27] Oh, yeah.

[00:12:29] I really am.

[00:12:30] Versus Munchie versus.

[00:12:32] Munchie.

[00:12:33] The other one.

[00:12:33] Yeah.

[00:12:34] Don't get me.

[00:12:35] There's Munchies and there's Munchie.

[00:12:36] There you go.

[00:12:37] Don't give Jim Wynorski ideas.

[00:12:40] Sci-Fi Channel presents.

[00:12:42] Oh my God.

[00:12:43] I mean, hell.

[00:12:44] Where's the room?

[00:12:45] The room.

[00:12:46] There you go.

[00:12:48] Oh, hi, Gizmo.

[00:12:50] In fact, I'll even admit there's a bit of.

[00:12:54] Definitely a bit of Griblins and Ghostbusters in movies like Congo.

[00:13:02] A little slimer.

[00:13:04] Yeah.

[00:13:07] You mentioned Ghostbusters a couple of times.

[00:13:09] I would pay a large amount of money to watch 1980s Bill Murray make fun of what the Gremlins

[00:13:15] are saying.

[00:13:15] Absolutely.

[00:13:17] I've been asking.

[00:13:18] Just like I've been asking for another Wishmaster.

[00:13:20] Yeah.

[00:13:20] Just do another.

[00:13:21] I mean, the closest you have now, apparently IDW has done so many awesome comics and they've

[00:13:28] crossed over the Ghostbusters with plenty of other comic book characters as well as even

[00:13:32] the X-Files.

[00:13:33] So continue it in comic book form for sure.

[00:13:37] I mean, the Gremlins comic book is really awesome.

[00:13:40] Like, it's actually creepy.

[00:13:42] And that says a lot because it doesn't show that much in the comic.

[00:13:48] But it's a it's much like any novelization where back when that was a thing where you wanted

[00:13:53] to see what scenes were deleted from the final cut or understand certain plot holes better.

[00:13:58] It's just in fact, I've even listened to some podcasts lately where they admitted that they read all the

[00:14:06] Gremlins novelizations before the movies came out.

[00:14:08] So they had they got to pay attention to all the other details now that they knew the basis of the story.

[00:14:14] I didn't know there was a comic.

[00:14:15] You say IDW was a Gremlins comic?

[00:14:18] Oh, no, no, no.

[00:14:18] The IDW did a Ghostbusters crossover comic with all these other comic book superheroes and X-Files.

[00:14:26] So, I mean, to to your guys's point, they could probably cross over the Gremlins there.

[00:14:30] That would probably work instead of waiting for the film guys to dispute rights and budget.

[00:14:39] Well, I don't know where comics are as a as a medium these days.

[00:14:43] It's really kind of like movies.

[00:14:46] It's like there's something for everybody.

[00:14:47] If you want it physical, you can get it.

[00:14:49] If you I mean, I just got the new Marvel Alien comics.

[00:14:53] I haven't read them yet.

[00:14:54] But I mean, yeah, if you want to do it digitally, there's plenty of apps which allow you to read comics.

[00:15:01] Free and on a digital platform.

[00:15:03] And there's something for everybody.

[00:15:05] It's just it's hard to kind of predict the algorithm.

[00:15:08] I mean, the algorithm doesn't know how to predict the algorithm.

[00:15:12] I'm trying to I mean, I can remember like I've read like a Batman Predator crossovers.

[00:15:18] In fact, there was more than one Batman.

[00:15:20] Yes, there was.

[00:15:21] Yeah.

[00:15:22] And then there was the Superman versus aliens kind of thing, too.

[00:15:25] Yeah.

[00:15:26] Yep.

[00:15:27] Yep.

[00:15:27] Yep.

[00:15:27] Yep.

[00:15:29] Fun, fun, fun stuff.

[00:15:31] Oh, man.

[00:15:33] And I mean, that's why it's works as a comic.

[00:15:36] You don't have to worry if it works as a movie or not.

[00:15:38] You're like, at least I'm seeing all these fun characters just acknowledged years later.

[00:15:46] Here's the crossover that should really frighten you.

[00:15:49] Gremlins and Aquaman.

[00:15:53] It took me a moment.

[00:15:55] Yeah.

[00:15:56] Don't get him wet.

[00:16:00] Jason Momoa could have a crap one.

[00:16:04] I've been seeing talk about Jason Momoa being Lobo.

[00:16:07] I'm like, but they've already established him as Aquaman.

[00:16:10] You know, much like Ray Stevenson, people like to reuse their actors.

[00:16:15] I mean, Chris Evans was the human torch.

[00:16:18] Right.

[00:16:19] Yeah, but it was a different movie company, though.

[00:16:27] I don't know.

[00:16:30] Two hit of Quiddas.

[00:16:34] In fact, the Punisher would probably get along with Gizmo.

[00:16:37] Help me kill these things.

[00:16:40] Oh, there you go.

[00:16:42] The comics teamed up Archie with the Punisher, so.

[00:16:45] Yeah.

[00:16:47] It's possible.

[00:16:48] So if you want to have gremlins killing horny teenagers, go for it.

[00:16:53] Perfect.

[00:16:54] Perfect.

[00:16:56] They would definitely invade Freddy Krueger's dreams, that's for sure.

[00:17:01] The CW kind of crossed Archie with Twin Peaks, too.

[00:17:06] Riverdale.

[00:17:07] Oh, my God.

[00:17:08] I watched a few episodes.

[00:17:10] But they tried, yeah.

[00:17:12] I prefer the Archie version of Night of the Living Dead, Afterlife with Archie.

[00:17:20] I do get a gremlins kill.

[00:17:22] I haven't had a chance to read that.

[00:17:23] You've read that?

[00:17:24] Did you like it?

[00:17:24] I have.

[00:17:27] I kind of stopped after all because it was getting really hard to get the issues because there were delays all over the place.

[00:17:35] But the first story arc is really good.

[00:17:38] I mean, there's, like you said, you've got zombies.

[00:17:43] You've got heart-wrenching moments.

[00:17:46] You have a lot of intrigue, a lot of soul.

[00:17:51] It actually handles all these different tones pretty well.

[00:17:54] That's good.

[00:17:55] Yeah.

[00:17:56] I have a feeling it did.

[00:17:57] Oh, go ahead.

[00:18:00] And it hits on a lot of the characters that you know and love.

[00:18:05] And some of the relatively new to the Archie universe.

[00:18:08] And I know they brought, they looped in, like, Josie and the Pussycats.

[00:18:14] Oh, wow.

[00:18:16] Let me know if they come out with a Betty and Veronica after dark.

[00:18:20] Wow, wow, wow.

[00:18:22] Why don't you mention that?

[00:18:23] Because some of the alternate covers were kind of cheesecake-y for Betty and Veronica.

[00:18:31] Nice.

[00:18:33] It's funny you brought that up.

[00:18:34] I do see a bit of Gremlins' influence on stuff like Return of the Living Dead as well as Night of the Creeps.

[00:18:41] That same kind of, what are we going to do, man?

[00:18:44] I do feel if they do a Gremlins comic, though, it's probably going to be almost like a comic strip type.

[00:18:52] Yeah.

[00:18:53] Pick people who are really going to go with it.

[00:18:56] If they want to have Dynamite comics do it, that could work.

[00:19:00] The Monster Squad is definitely influenced by Gremlins a bit.

[00:19:04] Shame, black dialogue.

[00:19:06] Gremlins invade Gotham.

[00:19:11] The Joker would be like, I can't even come up with crazy stuff like this.

[00:19:15] Yeah, Joker says, I'm out.

[00:19:17] I'm out.

[00:19:18] Riddler, you take...

[00:19:19] Well, they'll cross the blood of the Joker with one of the Gremlins or...

[00:19:23] Scarecrow's like, I got nothing.

[00:19:25] This only makes them more crazy.

[00:19:29] My spray only makes them think...

[00:19:31] I think it would be really neat that...

[00:19:32] Oh, sorry, sorry.

[00:19:33] It's all good.

[00:19:35] Then Gizmo has to be metored by...

[00:19:38] Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.

[00:19:40] I think it'd be really neat to see the Gremlins in a Dark Horse comic.

[00:19:46] You know, made by that company.

[00:19:49] Because they, you know, if you want them scary, you want it dark, like, they could definitely do it.

[00:19:55] Yeah.

[00:19:56] Hell, if it's supposed...

[00:19:57] I mean, if Joe Dante even just wants to take unproduced scripts that he has, give it to the Dark Horse guys and he'll make a killer thing.

[00:20:05] I mean, they've been doing that with unproduced George Romero zombie stuff.

[00:20:11] There's just...

[00:20:11] There's a new Night of the Living Dead comic called Ken that's out now that I kind of want to read.

[00:20:17] But, yeah, I mean, comics are pretty much a win-win.

[00:20:22] You know, like, if people don't like it, no one bitches.

[00:20:25] You know, because unless you read it, you know, who cares?

[00:20:28] Yeah.

[00:20:28] It's fun.

[00:20:31] And there's just more freedom.

[00:20:33] You don't have to worry about what it's rated or...

[00:20:36] But, you know, obviously there's the budget, but that really just comes down to what you're paying the graphics and typewriter guys and whose likeness you get to use.

[00:20:46] Yeah.

[00:20:46] Yeah.

[00:20:47] Because, like, there was this one...

[00:20:51] I'm not sure if they're still around, but Lionsgate was doing some comics of cheesy B-movie franchises of theirs, like Leprechaun and Warlock.

[00:21:00] And those were fun.

[00:21:02] In the 90s, Roger Corman had some comics he was putting out.

[00:21:05] Yeah, New World Pictures had a comic book company.

[00:21:08] Yeah.

[00:21:08] Yep.

[00:21:10] Oh, Roger.

[00:21:11] We miss you.

[00:21:13] I thought that dude was going to live to be 120.

[00:21:16] I really did.

[00:21:17] Because, like, just always had that wonderful smile.

[00:21:22] I was thinking earlier when you all were talking about crossovers.

[00:21:27] I think it would have been hilarious.

[00:21:29] And it would kind of fit as well if Gremlins crossed over with Army of Darkness.

[00:21:37] Yes.

[00:21:37] Just because of the kind of humor and darkness of that movie.

[00:21:41] Well, now you got me thinking, because Big Trouble in Little China has, like, a Chinese background.

[00:21:46] They did the Snake Luskin crossover, and yeah, John Carpenter wouldn't care.

[00:21:50] He'd be cool with it.

[00:21:51] But, I mean, now that Re-Animator and Xena are part of the Evil Dead universe, Darkman is too with those comics.

[00:21:58] Yeah.

[00:21:59] They're just bringing the Gremlins.

[00:22:01] The Nash introduced Boomstick to the Gremlins.

[00:22:04] Yeah.

[00:22:05] And Gizmo could even do the line,

[00:22:08] Good.

[00:22:10] I'm the one with the kid.

[00:22:16] That'd be fantastic.

[00:22:18] I mean, they could even...

[00:22:19] There you go.

[00:22:21] Take over...

[00:22:22] Use unpublished scripts, ideas that they had for the unproduced season four of Ash vs. Evil Dead,

[00:22:28] and just bring Gizmo into the picture.

[00:22:30] I mean...

[00:22:31] Now I'm picturing Gizmo in the scene that Bruce Campbell's in,

[00:22:35] where he gets all these little guys that split off from him in the mirror.

[00:22:40] And so, like, I can just see Gizmo fighting all these miniature versions of himself inside of this.

[00:22:45] Yes!

[00:22:46] They're slapping him, and he's like,

[00:22:48] Stop it!

[00:22:51] Wouldn't they dehydrate if they never did water?

[00:22:55] Yeah.

[00:22:57] What exactly do they drink?

[00:22:58] Yes.

[00:22:59] Blood?

[00:23:00] I don't know.

[00:23:01] Yeah.

[00:23:02] Well, they're drinking chemicals and stuff in the...

[00:23:04] Oh, okay.

[00:23:05] So there you go.

[00:23:06] I guess they...

[00:23:07] I guess they can drink stuff but don't get water on their body.

[00:23:11] Maybe that was it.

[00:23:13] On the outside.

[00:23:14] Maybe that's how it worked.

[00:23:17] I think it had to be, yeah, on the outside.

[00:23:21] And then you can have...

[00:23:22] You're probably drinking Coke.

[00:23:24] There you go.

[00:23:25] And have some cameos by other, like, B-movie personas that have Fred Williamson or even

[00:23:30] Dalton Dragon Wilson just come in and they're like, what the hell is this?

[00:23:37] Martial arts can't save you from these guys.

[00:23:40] You're bringing up big trouble.

[00:23:42] Kurt Russell actually would be perfect, I think.

[00:23:44] He could just be the dad who's telling a cynical fairy tale.

[00:23:47] He's not all that excited.

[00:23:49] In a John Wayne voice, yeah.

[00:23:52] Yes!

[00:23:52] There you go.

[00:23:55] And an Elvis persona.

[00:23:56] Yeah.

[00:23:57] Perfect.

[00:23:58] I fought Godzilla.

[00:23:59] How hard can it be?

[00:24:01] Oh.

[00:24:10] Oh, man.

[00:24:11] But yeah, I mean, there's just so much that you can do with the Gremlins.

[00:24:14] Harrison Ford comes in.

[00:24:15] They seem to fit, like, almost anywhere.

[00:24:19] I have it.

[00:24:20] I have it.

[00:24:21] Harrison Ford comes in and he does the signature line, I don't care.

[00:24:27] He teaches Gizmo how to use a gun, but Gizmo shoots first.

[00:24:36] You learned that from Han Solo.

[00:24:38] Exactly.

[00:24:39] And then Gizmo somehow gets elected president.

[00:24:41] That'd be even better.

[00:24:43] He'd be like, he'd be like, he'd be like Gremlins.

[00:24:46] Why did it have to be Gremlins?

[00:24:48] Why did it have to be freaking Gremlins?

[00:24:50] Yes.

[00:24:50] And then, and then.

[00:24:53] They would be perfect in The Running Man.

[00:24:57] Like, they could be the gladiators.

[00:24:59] Hell, give me another Night of the Museum movie.

[00:25:01] And they're just in there beating up Ben Stiller.

[00:25:03] And he's like, ow, what the hell?

[00:25:05] What the fuck is this?

[00:25:08] The winged monkeys in Wizard of Oz.

[00:25:10] The winged monkeys.

[00:25:12] Tropic Thunder, Gremlins edition.

[00:25:15] Mad Max 4.

[00:25:17] Beyond Thunderdome.

[00:25:19] Beyond Thunderdome.

[00:25:21] Oh my.

[00:25:21] It always goes back to Mad Max.

[00:25:25] That would be cool, too.

[00:25:26] They just make fun of all these comeback movies.

[00:25:29] Gizmo suits up a, he's in the Mad Max-inspired apocalypse.

[00:25:33] And he's got a bunch of Expendables type guys.

[00:25:35] And they're all, like, voiced by, like, famous genre stars.

[00:25:38] Hey, Tom.

[00:25:40] Can't we get beyond Thunderdome?

[00:25:45] Warrior of the...

[00:25:45] You know, I tried.

[00:25:47] But I still can't give her a Macho Grande.

[00:25:49] You can still give them the Tina Turner hair.

[00:25:51] It's okay.

[00:25:54] The Gremlins could be the Expendables.

[00:25:57] Yeah, absolutely.

[00:26:00] What are some other B-movie stars you'd like to see in there?

[00:26:02] Obviously, we've got to get Tony Todd or Lance Hendrickson in there.

[00:26:06] We could have some other cheesy martial artist guys.

[00:26:09] Dolph Lundgren is the main evil gremlin.

[00:26:13] I will melt you.

[00:26:16] I don't know.

[00:26:16] Do a play on the Rocky IV.

[00:26:20] The guy from Star Trek Deep Space Nine.

[00:26:23] And he played Dr. Mordred.

[00:26:25] I can't think of his name right now.

[00:26:26] Oh, Jeffrey Combs.

[00:26:27] Yes.

[00:26:28] Jeffrey Combs.

[00:26:29] Yes.

[00:26:30] Oh my God.

[00:26:31] Please, Hollywood.

[00:26:32] Hire us.

[00:26:33] Even if we're just consultants.

[00:26:35] We won't.

[00:26:35] You can take the credit.

[00:26:37] We just want this shit made.

[00:26:39] Well, here's the problem.

[00:26:40] We actually have talents.

[00:26:42] So therefore, we'd be drugged out of Hollywood.

[00:26:45] Yeah, definitely don't pitch this to Paramount.

[00:26:47] They'll just be like, duly noted.

[00:26:49] And you're like, fuck you, asshole.

[00:26:51] Yeah.

[00:26:52] But now I want to start saying...

[00:26:53] We're making another 70s TV show and make it crap.

[00:26:58] Yeah.

[00:26:59] Let's redo it.

[00:27:00] Because someone...

[00:27:01] The name's multi-bring.

[00:27:03] Oh!

[00:27:05] No.

[00:27:06] Brilliant idea.

[00:27:07] Here it is.

[00:27:08] Here's the brilliant idea.

[00:27:10] I'm pitching this.

[00:27:12] Another Street Hawk.

[00:27:18] Oh, man.

[00:27:21] Wasn't Street Hawk just a takeoff of Knight Rider on a motorcycle?

[00:27:24] Yeah, that and Viper.

[00:27:26] Not according to a guy I watch on YouTube.

[00:27:31] Is it Knight Rider?

[00:27:32] And it's like, no.

[00:27:34] Dan Larson.

[00:27:35] That's the guy.

[00:27:36] Then we're going to be followed by other stuff.

[00:27:39] Like the Magnum PI or TJ Hooker version of Gremlins.

[00:27:43] The Shaft version of Gremlins.

[00:27:46] Probably even the...

[00:27:48] Oh, hell.

[00:27:49] Let's have the NCIS version of Gremlins.

[00:27:51] Where people are just cutting dead GIs open.

[00:27:54] You're like, what you find?

[00:27:55] I found a clue.

[00:27:56] It's a case.

[00:27:59] You're challenging my army ring.

[00:28:01] I don't care.

[00:28:03] How about...

[00:28:04] In spite of the Smurfs.

[00:28:07] Oh, God.

[00:28:09] Can you bleed blue?

[00:28:10] Imagine how traumatized kids would be.

[00:28:13] Oh, man.

[00:28:14] Oh, dude.

[00:28:15] Oh, you really want to have fun.

[00:28:16] Do it with snorch.

[00:28:18] Oh.

[00:28:20] Oh, my God.

[00:28:24] It's like a gummy bear.

[00:28:25] Braggle Rock.

[00:28:26] Braggle Rock.

[00:28:28] Braggle Rock versus the Gremlins.

[00:28:29] Dancing cares away.

[00:28:31] Braggle.

[00:28:32] Yes.

[00:28:33] Skilberg and Brian Henson present.

[00:28:36] Yeah.

[00:28:36] Perfect.

[00:28:37] Gremlins versus the...

[00:28:38] Gremlins versus the Muppets.

[00:28:41] Yeah.

[00:28:41] I would say.

[00:28:42] There's a great show.

[00:28:49] Yeah.

[00:28:49] That's perfect.

[00:28:51] I will give you money just for that.

[00:28:53] Even if it's just a comic.

[00:28:55] And yes.

[00:28:56] I mean, there's a great show.

[00:28:58] We've had many of them on Who Would Win?

[00:29:01] Where they'll often have a former wrestler and a martial artist who trains all kinds of real life badasses.

[00:29:07] Like Secret Service agents.

[00:29:09] They rep all these fictional characters.

[00:29:11] Like comic book and movie characters.

[00:29:15] And their first episode was the Muppets versus Sesame Street.

[00:29:19] So, yeah.

[00:29:20] When you think of the Gremlins on that show and see how that battle would turn out.

[00:29:24] But I would totally watch a...

[00:29:26] Even if it's a fan web series animation on YouTube, I would watch it.

[00:29:31] I'd be like...

[00:29:32] There is a wonderful look up when you guys are done or have free time.

[00:29:37] Gremlins recall.

[00:29:38] You'll be like...

[00:29:39] When you're done with this, you'll be like...

[00:29:42] Give this man money.

[00:29:44] Like he made not only a fan film with love, but also...

[00:29:47] If you weren't familiar with it, you would feel like it's a fun proof of concept.

[00:29:51] With a killer's 80 synthwave score.

[00:29:55] Nice.

[00:29:56] And actual puppets he used.

[00:30:00] And it was...

[00:30:01] That's awesome.

[00:30:02] It has Gremlins all set at a diner.

[00:30:04] And it's just really a lot of fun.

[00:30:05] The dialogue was really clever.

[00:30:07] Like, you know, wink to genre fans.

[00:30:09] It was so much fun.

[00:30:11] But yeah, Gremlins recall.

[00:30:13] What a labor of love.

[00:30:16] You know...

[00:30:16] That's awesome.

[00:30:17] I gotta check that out.

[00:30:19] Totally.

[00:30:20] No, they got...

[00:30:21] You know...

[00:30:22] Too bad robot chicken.

[00:30:23] Chicken's not on the air anymore.

[00:30:25] Oh, yes.

[00:30:26] I'm pitching them some ideas for some quick one...

[00:30:28] If they come back...

[00:30:29] I mean, they are kind of like Curb Your Enthusiasm.

[00:30:31] Where they kind of just come back on whenever they want.

[00:30:34] Yeah, I mean...

[00:30:35] I thought I heard they officially ended, though.

[00:30:37] Oh, well...

[00:30:38] I'll take your word for it.

[00:30:40] But if they want to come back and do like a Christmas special...

[00:30:42] Like they did with all the Star Wars parodies.

[00:30:44] Please do it.

[00:30:46] Do it.

[00:30:47] I mean, they had...

[00:30:47] I gotta say...

[00:30:49] I gotta say...

[00:30:49] The idea would be to do Gremlins with Survivor and treat it serious.

[00:30:54] Oh my god!

[00:30:54] Even in the running man.

[00:30:56] It just says unintelligible in subtitles.

[00:31:00] What's he saying?

[00:31:01] Sounds like Animal.

[00:31:02] What's he saying?

[00:31:04] I don't know what he's saying.

[00:31:07] I gotta say...

[00:31:09] A little side note for Robot Chicken.

[00:31:12] Have y'all seen the dude that...

[00:31:16] There was a short little video of the behind the scenes.

[00:31:20] How they do stuff.

[00:31:21] The dude took a Nintendo Power Glove.

[00:31:24] Oh!

[00:31:25] And like tinkered with it to wear everything.

[00:31:28] He's got little tweezers that attaches to it.

[00:31:31] He's rigged it to wear like when he needs to adjust the camera.

[00:31:35] Like he can do everything from his Power Glove.

[00:31:39] That he needs to do for Robot Chicken.

[00:31:41] Holy shit!

[00:31:43] He's like a real hacker man.

[00:31:44] He was like the coolest thing ever.

[00:31:45] A hacker man.

[00:31:46] Yeah.

[00:31:48] Man.

[00:31:49] Give that man a cookie.

[00:31:51] Yeah.

[00:31:52] A big cookie.

[00:31:53] A big ass cookie.

[00:31:54] Cookie for life.

[00:31:56] That's right.

[00:31:58] Man, dudes.

[00:31:59] I love these ideas.

[00:32:01] Someone please listen to us.

[00:32:04] The gremlins keep up with the Kardashians.

[00:32:09] Okay.

[00:32:10] This is getting absurd.

[00:32:14] He's growling at the camera and he's saying in subtitles, why does this make my ass look fat?

[00:32:21] Then you can even use the classic SNL Nightline Chris Rock sketch.

[00:32:25] No, the fat makes you look fat.

[00:32:30] I mean, they really do work for just about anything.

[00:32:33] You can put them in just about anything and you can make it work.

[00:32:39] I have it.

[00:32:40] They're doing an office continuation.

[00:32:42] The office of the gremlins.

[00:32:46] And they're just talking to the cameras.

[00:32:48] Some people say I'm a monster of a boss.

[00:32:50] I don't know what that means.

[00:32:52] Well, he's the only one that there's the only one.

[00:32:55] It's on Dwight making Dwight.

[00:32:57] So they're just more and more upset every episode.

[00:33:00] Oh, God.

[00:33:02] Oh, my God.

[00:33:04] Sorry.

[00:33:04] I shoot you through my phone cord.

[00:33:06] This is the third time this week.

[00:33:08] Yes.

[00:33:09] And they're doing it deliberately just to try to make him quit.

[00:33:12] He's like, no, I will have my fidgets.

[00:33:15] I will make sure I eat all your food.

[00:33:18] You know, so you're going to say, Gil.

[00:33:22] Sorry.

[00:33:23] No, I wasn't going to say anything.

[00:33:24] Someone was going to say something.

[00:33:27] What if they showed up on Donnie and Marie?

[00:33:30] Oh, my God.

[00:33:32] I'm a gremlin of love.

[00:33:34] I'm a little bit country.

[00:33:36] I'm a little bit gremlin rogue.

[00:33:38] Oh, they could do like they do with what we do in the shadows.

[00:33:43] Yes.

[00:33:44] You know, and so it's like a it's like a sitcom.

[00:33:47] That could happen.

[00:33:49] Yeah.

[00:33:49] Taco Waititi had the the bat, the saxophone guy from Lost Boys appear in character on Reservation Dog.

[00:33:56] So he can do it for his shadow show.

[00:33:59] There you go.

[00:34:00] Let's redo Blade the vampire.

[00:34:02] It's like gizmo.

[00:34:03] Can you blush?

[00:34:07] Right.

[00:34:07] You want to ice skate uphill?

[00:34:08] Little creature.

[00:34:12] I don't know.

[00:34:13] I don't know.

[00:34:14] All better ideas than.

[00:34:15] All better ideas and make it.

[00:34:17] Yeah.

[00:34:19] Print it.

[00:34:20] Don't ask any questions.

[00:34:21] You'll get your money back.

[00:34:22] If you just stop asking questions, just put it out.

[00:34:30] I wouldn't care how the sausage was made either.

[00:34:32] If I got my money back and be like, OK.

[00:34:35] That sounds hysterical.

[00:34:36] Make it.

[00:34:39] Check out YouTube.

[00:34:40] Somebody might have.

[00:34:42] Right.

[00:34:43] YouTube's going to take us down the rabbit hole.

[00:34:47] The Matrix.

[00:34:48] I just put it in.

[00:34:49] Oh, man.

[00:34:53] Yeah.

[00:34:54] I'm the chosen one.

[00:34:57] Here's a million dollar idea right here.

[00:34:59] You got your gremlins.

[00:35:00] You do gremlins.

[00:35:03] But you do it.

[00:35:05] You do it with hobgoblins.

[00:35:07] But good.

[00:35:09] No.

[00:35:09] Perfect.

[00:35:10] Keep Rick Sloan away.

[00:35:11] Hire some other B-movie guy.

[00:35:13] Hire the Lot of Ventula and Sharknado guys.

[00:35:15] Perfect.

[00:35:21] 2001 might make more sense at the end if they showed up.

[00:35:25] Always.

[00:35:26] So which gremlin's going to take over the killer computer?

[00:35:29] How?

[00:35:30] Yeah.

[00:35:32] The electric gremlin.

[00:35:37] To be honest, in this one movie, we don't know what country they're upset about.

[00:35:41] We don't know that it's not the gremlins they were trying to bomb in Top Gun and Average.

[00:35:45] The end.

[00:35:49] It was a country full of gremlins.

[00:35:51] That's why no one was bothered by it.

[00:35:53] They were no perfect.

[00:35:56] Gremlins and Dr. Strangelove.

[00:36:02] How I grew to love the mogwai.

[00:36:06] Is he giving me advice or is he riding the nuke?

[00:36:09] Or both?

[00:36:10] Yeah, I was going to say riding the nuke.

[00:36:12] Or throwing pies.

[00:36:13] Throwing pies.

[00:36:15] And he survives, but he spreads all the radiation and kills all the terrorists with it.

[00:36:20] Gizmo, we've got to contain you now.

[00:36:22] Sorry.

[00:36:24] Which leads him to attack of the 50.

[00:36:27] Attack of the immediate colossal mogwai.

[00:36:30] Star Wars, attack of the mogwai.

[00:36:32] I don't know.

[00:36:34] 300 Spartans against 1 million gremlins.

[00:36:36] 300 gremlins.

[00:36:37] Perfect.

[00:36:39] I just thought of the perfect crossover that would work 100%.

[00:36:47] And I feel like if you throw gremlins in a Deadpool movie.

[00:36:55] Ryan Reynolds will do it.

[00:36:57] I can just see them all putting their feet up on a couch and watching a movie together.

[00:37:00] There you go.

[00:37:01] I mean, I felt like Taika Waititi's evil boss guy in Free Guy, the Ryan Reynolds movie, was a total gremlins 2-9.

[00:37:07] So, I mean, do you want to do Free Guy 2?

[00:37:11] Electric Boogaloo.

[00:37:14] But yes, Deadpool, it would probably work.

[00:37:16] I'm still waiting for a Dolph Lundgren cameo with all the muscular guys that got in there.

[00:37:23] Oh, man.

[00:37:25] Well, I feel like we've wiped the floor, guys.

[00:37:27] I feel like we have.

[00:37:29] We've gone to town and we're here to stay.

[00:37:32] Oh, yeah.

[00:37:33] And in the case of gremlins, since there's only been the two movies, we've covered it all.

[00:37:38] There you go.

[00:37:39] From dusk till dawn, gremlins 4-9.

[00:37:41] Oh, God.

[00:37:44] They're at a strip club and then they turn into the end.

[00:37:48] You have the female gremlin do Selma Hayek.

[00:37:52] Oh, yeah.

[00:37:56] Shoots like darts out of her tits or something.

[00:37:59] That's right.

[00:38:01] And impels them.

[00:38:03] Gizmo's just helped two evil criminal brothers rob a bank and he's like, where are we going?

[00:38:09] The female gremlin as Selma Hayek's character in Hitman's Bodyguard.

[00:38:15] Oh, man.

[00:38:17] There's where you get the Sam Jackson person.

[00:38:19] Yeah, he's like, he's teaching them all the four-letter words on the alphabet.

[00:38:26] Well, the good thing about her cussing is you couldn't understand her, so.

[00:38:30] That's true, too.

[00:38:31] Yeah.

[00:38:32] He's like, not a lady.

[00:38:37] Oh, man.

[00:38:39] Maybe even have Howie Mandel even just appear as himself saying, why do you sound like me?

[00:38:46] Something meta.

[00:38:47] That'd be fun.

[00:38:49] That's awesome.

[00:38:50] I love all these ideas.

[00:38:51] That's awesome.

[00:38:53] I gotta say, I don't think goodwill gremlins would work too well.

[00:38:59] It's not that kind of movie.

[00:39:00] Is Gizmo.

[00:39:01] Oh, you can make it work.

[00:39:02] Is Gizmo.

[00:39:03] Yeah, you have the smart gremlin.

[00:39:05] He's the janitor.

[00:39:06] Okay, but then.

[00:39:08] Then who's the professor?

[00:39:10] Oh, that works, too.

[00:39:12] Okay, so you have the, you have the, you have what, Larry?

[00:39:16] That was the gremlin's name?

[00:39:18] The goofy one?

[00:39:19] Oh, how do you like them apples, Mr. Gremlin?

[00:39:22] Yeah, Lenny.

[00:39:23] Yeah, you have Lenny playing Matt Damon.

[00:39:25] You got the professor, the smart gremlin, Robin Williams.

[00:39:31] There you go.

[00:39:33] It works.

[00:39:33] They'll go into group therapy and breakdown in tears.

[00:39:38] How about them trying to sell stuff on Home Shopping Network?

[00:39:42] Yeah.

[00:39:47] What is it they're selling?

[00:39:48] I don't know.

[00:39:49] I can't understand a word they're saying.

[00:39:52] Oh.
