[00:01:16] [SPEAKER_03]: wrestler raised to Kainis.

[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_04]: James is actually an author too.

[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_03]: I love the whole be the bigger shark mentality that he imposes on the anti-bullying.

[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_04]: It's on my list to buy the books and all that because it looks really curious to see his mindset.

[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_04]: It just it didn't have the same flair as it does now in a way.

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, but no, no offense to Jay.

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_04]: It just the chemistry was wasn't quite the same level.

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_03]: When they were going with it kind of just other just obscure ones.

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_03]: It was kind of unusual.

[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_03]: But now that they have more voice actors, more convo creators, and now.

[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_03]: A merchandise shop is like, yeah, it makes sense why they're here.

[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_04]: That's it's it's.

[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_04]: The growth of the show from I think my first show real show was

[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_04]: when I started catching up to the present time of it was a James Bond versus the Joker from a friend.

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_04]: It was my first one.

[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Very unusual.

[00:04:07] [SPEAKER_03]: And so for those who don't listen, you know the what will you get out of this?

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Especially if you're not into geeky topics like this is like you should still listen to it anyway, just because

[00:04:20] [SPEAKER_03]: it's improv comedy.

[00:04:21] [SPEAKER_03]: There's all sorts of just

[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_03]: outlandish battles.

[00:04:26] [SPEAKER_03]: There is some thought put into it for an outrageous scenario and well,

[00:04:31] [SPEAKER_03]: we got over 120 of these that we can bring out.

[00:04:35] [SPEAKER_03]: But I mean,

[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_03]: it doesn't even become about the fight being won so much as it is like what what who's going to surprise with each of these free points?

[00:04:50] [SPEAKER_03]: And is the judge going to be swayed or are they going to even do their homework or as Ray likes to joke?

[00:04:56] [SPEAKER_03]: Are you listening?

[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_04]: Maybe maybe since people that haven't even heard the show before we should explain that they take two characters from different fandoms

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_04]: I think I almost got that the right way with the same cadence

[00:05:18] [SPEAKER_04]: and they put them out there and it's a fight to not necessarily the death, but it's battle for remover.

[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, that's or stop the person.

[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_03]: Some of them get so cheap with that to really like three minutes.

[00:05:33] [SPEAKER_04]: What's funny is there at first the two or three minute thing wasn't even there and then all of a sudden it was just it was like one of those

[00:05:40] [SPEAKER_03]: it was too close to call and they're like we got we got to have a winner.

[00:05:44] [SPEAKER_03]: We cannot have a tie.

[00:05:47] [SPEAKER_03]: I think there's only been like two outcomes

[00:05:51] [SPEAKER_03]: where there's they needed a fourth point just to break the tie.

[00:05:55] [SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, yeah.

[00:05:56] [SPEAKER_03]: And you were honored to be a judge.

[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_03]: I can only imagine what it was like checking your inbox the next day and being like, oh snap.

[00:06:03] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, I was waiting for it.

[00:06:05] [SPEAKER_04]: I was I had here so old.

[00:06:08] [SPEAKER_04]: I had a sink color color coded so that it would pop up.

[00:06:11] [SPEAKER_04]: I could answer people right away.

[00:06:14] [SPEAKER_04]: I was trying to be the judge like I would want other judges to be like response.

[00:06:19] [SPEAKER_04]: You know, I didn't get anything really.

[00:06:22] [SPEAKER_04]: I got a couple people write me and say good job.

[00:06:24] [SPEAKER_04]: Great job.

[00:06:25] [SPEAKER_04]: I agree with you, but no blanket any like hate.

[00:06:29] [SPEAKER_04]: No anything like that.

[00:06:31] [SPEAKER_03]: Like a surprisingly, I don't see as much attention, but every once in a while, I'll see people who will respond to the billionth DC versus Marvel fight.

[00:06:40] [SPEAKER_03]: But then every once in a while someone will bring up some 80s tough guy or 90s TV show

[00:06:46] [SPEAKER_03]: hero or obscure cartoon.

[00:06:48] [SPEAKER_03]: And like I that's exactly what I was thinking of.

[00:06:50] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm glad that's getting some attention.

[00:06:52] [SPEAKER_03]: So it's very hard to tell what time of the day is best for posting something related to it.

[00:06:59] [SPEAKER_03]: But it is cool still seeing some kind of interaction.

[00:07:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it also depends on where you do it.

[00:07:04] [SPEAKER_04]: I mean, yeah, we're there.

[00:07:07] [SPEAKER_04]: There's interaction, but it's not the same level as it's on Facebook group.

[00:07:13] [SPEAKER_04]: No Facebook people put up some crazy stuff like not even that's like, did you guys even listen to the show or you just throwing out fights?

[00:07:21] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, because I think I saw the other day like Internet bots.

[00:07:25] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's like somebody versus a grizzly bear like five people unarmed.

[00:07:32] [SPEAKER_03]: We already talked about some kids to grizzly bear.

[00:07:34] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and I'm like, oh God, no, that's first of all, it's not the way the show works.

[00:07:40] [SPEAKER_03]: You know, I even asked him, hey, what special skills does the other side have?

[00:07:46] [SPEAKER_03]: And you're right now.

[00:07:47] [SPEAKER_03]: You're telling me nothing.

[00:07:49] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, okay.

[00:07:51] [SPEAKER_04]: So five bear fisted people against a bear or grizzly bear.

[00:07:55] [SPEAKER_03]: No, and that might what drives me insane and I just try to just blow it off because what can you do is no one wanting to be detailed.

[00:08:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Like why do they went?

[00:08:08] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like James should not be the only one asking.

[00:08:11] [SPEAKER_03]: Why do you think that?

[00:08:13] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'll get detailed sometimes depending on the no, you're good.

[00:08:17] [SPEAKER_03]: I just I'll see somebody will just be like so and so obviously.

[00:08:22] [SPEAKER_03]: I'm like, oh, hold on.

[00:08:24] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, would be obvious if we were here just saying Thanos just because Thanos or Goku cuz Goku and it is how they have had those two fight multiple times on the show much like the Muppets and Sesame Street.

[00:08:39] [SPEAKER_03]: And everyone's wondering, you know, what does so-and-so do?

[00:08:43] [SPEAKER_03]: And it's like, well, just use your imagination.

[00:08:44] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like, yeah.

[00:08:46] [SPEAKER_03]: And if it's just those both those fights were some of the most craziest and popular ones.

[00:08:53] [SPEAKER_03]: Just but because both participants represented a different side each time and each time they lost so it was like who is the better one?

[00:09:02] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah.

[00:09:04] [SPEAKER_04]: Gotta be answered.

[00:09:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Was the same judge.

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember.

[00:09:06] [SPEAKER_03]: Was it I think it was a different judge, but it was it was still perplexing.

[00:09:11] [SPEAKER_03]: So there's been some other good ones.

[00:09:13] [SPEAKER_03]: There's been the 18 versus the boys.

[00:09:16] [SPEAKER_04]: There's been that was interesting.

[00:09:17] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, Taskmaster versus Midnighter.

[00:09:21] Yep.

[00:09:22] [SPEAKER_04]: King Arthur versus Conan.

[00:09:24] [SPEAKER_03]: I was so outrageous.

[00:09:27] [SPEAKER_03]: Man.

[00:09:29] [SPEAKER_03]: The Enterprise E versus the Super Star Destroyer.

[00:09:32] [SPEAKER_04]: See, I like I like the weird ones like I like the group ones and the weird ones because having like one person versus a person.

[00:09:40] [SPEAKER_04]: It's cool.

[00:09:41] [SPEAKER_04]: But there was one where it was like season wise was like what version are you going to bring a shield agents versus Cobra Cobra?

[00:09:51] [SPEAKER_03]: There was some of that.

[00:09:52] [SPEAKER_03]: I think I don't know if they removed that episode the expanse crew versus apex legends.

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Yep.

[00:09:58] [SPEAKER_03]: Yep.

[00:10:00] [SPEAKER_03]: But yeah, they when they did the like a crew of five versus five.

[00:10:05] [SPEAKER_03]: These were interesting because and they put Kirby and Lincoln in some of them is like, yeah, this is interesting because either way.

[00:10:14] [SPEAKER_03]: Both people on either side are going to get killed.

[00:10:17] [SPEAKER_03]: It's just a matter of who's the last one standing or going to lead them into combat.

[00:10:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, ticket the win.

[00:10:23] [SPEAKER_04]: I still want to see the Dinobots versus the Iron Legion.

[00:10:27] [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, no, like the entire suits of Iron Legion.

[00:10:34] [SPEAKER_03]: But something they could do there.

[00:10:36] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[00:10:38] [SPEAKER_04]: There's a couple other ones that like, of course, I'm a huge Transformers fan.

[00:10:45] [SPEAKER_04]: It's TeleTran 1 of G1 cartoon TeleTran 1 is my background on my zoom.

[00:10:54] [SPEAKER_04]: And so I'm always looking like a Transformers spin when something somebody's fights when they say, hey, who should this person fight?

[00:11:05] [SPEAKER_04]: But that's why the the Optimus Prime versus Dr.

[00:11:09] [SPEAKER_04]: Doom one drove me nuts.

[00:11:11] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, one of his is a techno man.

[00:11:14] [SPEAKER_04]: Sir, it's like, but not this promise sentient.

[00:11:17] [SPEAKER_04]: He's not just a machine.

[00:11:19] [SPEAKER_04]: He sentient that that shouldn't have, you know.

[00:11:22] [SPEAKER_04]: But that's the case.

[00:11:23] [SPEAKER_04]: Then Dr.

[00:11:24] [SPEAKER_04]: Doom should have been able to take out like Magus or Magnus

[00:11:31] [SPEAKER_04]: Warlocks.

[00:11:32] [SPEAKER_03]: What was in it?

[00:11:33] [SPEAKER_03]: From new Megatron who killed King Kong or maybe it was that the other way.

[00:11:39] [SPEAKER_03]: It was an earlier one and they those earlier that fight and it's like

[00:11:45] [SPEAKER_04]: Megatron at the higher ground, but King Kong still won

[00:11:49] [SPEAKER_04]: because you could throw stuff at him or something like that.

[00:11:51] [SPEAKER_04]: I can't remember what the one was.

[00:11:54] [SPEAKER_04]: There's one of those ones is like it was a good one, but I choose to forget it because I was driving me nuts.

[00:11:58] [SPEAKER_04]: Mullet over all the different variations and stuff.

[00:12:03] [SPEAKER_04]: Because that's the thing.

[00:12:04] [SPEAKER_04]: It shows so good, but there's one a week.

[00:12:06] [SPEAKER_03]: So it's like always and you never know where it's coming or going.

[00:12:12] [SPEAKER_04]: The only thing you can be guaranteed with the show as far as it's always going to be good.

[00:12:18] [SPEAKER_04]: Even if it's an obscure character, I've never ever even if you disagree with the win is going to be a hell of a show.

[00:12:24] [SPEAKER_03]: There's going to be all sorts of other comedy thrown in.

[00:12:28] [SPEAKER_04]: It's always entertaining.

[00:12:30] [SPEAKER_04]: It's always got something you didn't say about it because it should be some kind of thing like well, why does that make sense or oh, I completely agree.

[00:12:38] [SPEAKER_03]: Sometimes it's even funnier.

[00:12:40] [SPEAKER_03]: It's like I want Ray to win this one because I love this character.

[00:12:42] [SPEAKER_03]: I want James to win, even though this character is probably outmatched or I'm not even the biggest fan, but they got some points.

[00:12:49] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, yeah, exactly.

[00:12:55] [SPEAKER_04]: The Poison Ivy versus Bumblebee one.

[00:12:58] [SPEAKER_04]: And I was like I was so against it.

[00:13:00] [SPEAKER_04]: It's like a season one.

[00:13:01] [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and they're like she's not going to do it.

[00:13:05] [SPEAKER_04]: She has pheromones, but that's not going to work.

[00:13:07] [SPEAKER_04]: And they're like oh, she gummed up his works with the vines.

[00:13:10] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm like no, that won't work.

[00:13:12] [SPEAKER_04]: And they're like well, she could pull buildings down with them.

[00:13:15] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm like oh, I've got to start leading.

[00:13:17] [SPEAKER_04]: I said much as I wanted Bumblebee to win when he starts saying about she can have the vines pull buildings down or hold buildings up and all that stuff.

[00:13:28] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm like B's not that strong.

[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_04]: He's a scout.

[00:13:30] [SPEAKER_04]: He's a transformer, but he's a scout class.

[00:13:34] [SPEAKER_04]: He's not like Ironhide or Grimlock or somebody like that that would just rip the vines out before it started.

[00:13:39] [SPEAKER_03]: It even reminds me of the different comic book crossovers that I'm sure you've read, the Terminator versus the Transformers one.

[00:13:47] [SPEAKER_04]: No, I have not actually.

[00:13:49] [SPEAKER_03]: You would love.

[00:13:50] [SPEAKER_04]: I didn't even know there was a Terminator versus Transformers.

[00:13:54] [SPEAKER_03]: IDW and Dynamite and boom, they do some crazy ones.

[00:13:59] [SPEAKER_04]: I see like some Marvel and Star Trek, but then Marvel and Transformers.

[00:14:07] [SPEAKER_03]: It's so funny how they'll mention non-canon ones like the Punisher versus like stop bringing it up.

[00:14:12] [SPEAKER_03]: That's a joke.

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh man.

[00:14:16] [SPEAKER_03]: So I got some other ones.

[00:14:18] [SPEAKER_03]: And once again, I know others can't see it, but Ken has a wonderful Transformers-esque control room panel.

[00:14:26] [SPEAKER_03]: Speaking of Transformers, one battle that I think I re listened to at least for different times just because I love the intensity and the detail.

[00:14:35] [SPEAKER_03]: It was Unicron versus the Death Star.

[00:14:39] [SPEAKER_03]: Yes.

[00:14:40] [SPEAKER_03]: Because that was like this guy again.

[00:14:43] [SPEAKER_03]: If you've seen the animated Transformers movies from the 80s, that's a planet killer versus the Death Star, which is known for blowing up, not eating, right?

[00:14:53] [SPEAKER_04]: Blowing up plants.

[00:14:54] [SPEAKER_04]: And the thing that really did it was the Unicron Sumacrum.

[00:15:00] [SPEAKER_04]: How there's every universe, every world, every... there is a Unicron.

[00:15:05] [SPEAKER_03]: Don't lie.

[00:15:06] [SPEAKER_03]: And I don't know what it is.

[00:15:08] [SPEAKER_03]: The minute they have a campy character, especially because there is some camp in Transformers, it's like, I kind of just want that side to win.

[00:15:18] [SPEAKER_03]: Even if it's the weakest character, even if it was the GoBots.

[00:15:21] [SPEAKER_03]: Let's do it.

[00:15:23] [SPEAKER_04]: I'm waiting for them to bring all of that spike into it someday just to see what they do.

[00:15:30] [SPEAKER_03]: So they've had the Guardians, which are Russia's bastardized Answer to the Avengers versus TMNT and that was wild.

[00:15:39] [SPEAKER_03]: There was the Crow versus Jason Voorhees, Kinshuru versus Bugs Bunny, which introduced their Toon Force, which is, if we're bringing cartoon logic, it was like, well, how long can each of them last?

[00:15:50] [SPEAKER_03]: When they had Han Solo versus Austin Powers, that was fun because it's like which character can pull Frank on the other?

[00:15:57] [SPEAKER_03]: Batman and Robin versus Hobbs and Shaw is like, OK, well, we're going total camp here.

[00:16:02] [SPEAKER_04]: And then because it was the it was the 60s version of Batman and Robin to put up even more.

[00:16:07] [SPEAKER_03]: Punch fighting. Who's going to not... and that was again post two minute rule where it's like, OK, we can argue who will knock each other out,

[00:16:17] [SPEAKER_03]: but someone's got to get knocked out just to suggest that they lost a fight.

[00:16:23] [SPEAKER_03]: And when they had James Gatsby himself versus Ray Stokanes and then they had vice versa, like the host, the opposite host represents the others.

[00:16:33] [SPEAKER_03]: Like, OK, so this is acknowledging the wacky fun to this whole scenario.

[00:16:39] [SPEAKER_03]: And then we can't decide a winner because what would be the point?

[00:16:43] [SPEAKER_03]: We're not going to agree on who would actually win.

[00:16:45] [SPEAKER_03]: We could just as easily do a poor job of repping each other.

[00:16:48] [SPEAKER_03]: So let's just end with bagpipes, which is just the bagpipes.

[00:17:41] [SPEAKER_03]: Robocop versus Gambit Rambo versus the Punisher.

[00:17:44] [SPEAKER_03]: The Penguin versus Jack Sparrow was wild because it's like who's going to use more gadgets and tricks.

[00:17:52] [SPEAKER_04]: Jack Sparrow almost has a level of tune force.

[00:17:57] [SPEAKER_04]: He's got his rum force that seems a little joker.

[00:17:59] [SPEAKER_04]: He gets the crazier it is.

[00:18:02] [SPEAKER_03]: Oh, yeah. I forget which one.

[00:18:04] [SPEAKER_03]: I want to say it was in the season three and they had like they were doing a rematch and the judge, who's also the editor of the show, Robert Clark Chan decided, you know what?
