[00:00:58] The Beloved Escape From New York and LA movies and comics. I have gone as the gin from Wishmaster horror comedies and no one knew who the hell I was so but one of these days I might add some extra

[00:01:13] makeup and enhance it. Oh just to be clear though, I actually haven't been I haven't been to any major cons yet. None of us have I don't think no. Yeah yeah yeah yeah but although I will say actually I did actually have my first comic con experience.

[00:01:35] I'm trying to think what was it? January of last year actually January of 2022 at my local mall which is like five minutes away from me and yeah there were people who I just walked in one day and you know

[00:01:57] you know I saw this one I saw a few Mando cosplayers you know like Mandalorian cosplay. How did they do it? Yeah I saw this one girl who was cosplaying Ahsoka Tano the Mandalorian version and slash

[00:02:12] Ahsoka series version you know like the dark outfit yeah and yeah so you know and they there's a I forget I forget what store used to be there but I'm trying to think you know a lot of mall businesses have gone out of business and

[00:02:33] you know friggin it's just empty space but they they rented that space for like you know for like the the the area you know the con the con area you know so

[00:02:48] went through that went through there and it was pretty cool you know it was it gave me an idea you know gave me like an idea of what it was like to go to a con you know without

[00:02:57] having to pay for tickets you know it was like things like that you know you know it's very eye-opening too and it's like how long did this take you yeah right yeah oh man

[00:03:09] friggin like there was this one particular stand if you yeah like this one uh stand where they had like this this one I had like a tunnel Legos of every fandom like yeah stand inside by side

[00:03:22] with each other yeah so um but uh but yeah no I um uh you know again I'm uh I'm doing what I have to do to accomplish this goal you know and that is you know again you

[00:03:39] know uh just keep persisting in the uh you know searching for another uh you know well paying you know so you know I mean uh like you know wherever I land you know in terms of the in

[00:03:54] terms of the work you know friggin uh uh you know the the uh what is called work uh you know in terms in terms of getting a job uh getting another job and and just just like holding on to it

[00:04:11] until you know I can I can afford anymore yeah yeah well no no not even that you know it's like I think even even if I have shitty co-workers who who have no manners you know it's like you know just

[00:04:24] like I'm I'm I would say I'm pretty much immune at this point to like all the shit that I hear you know coming from you know like what people have to say it's just like uh but you know

[00:04:39] it's like just you know just kind of brush it off you know persevere and uh I definitely have to because yeah I mean yeah I've been in awful workplaces much like you yeah it's one of those

[00:04:53] you just have to I when I would tell my folks they'd be more worried about the next person who encountered them I was kind of more just like how does this even survive and yeah exactly

[00:05:06] I'm kind of more about the karma at that point where I'm like okay well it's gonna be a judgment day for you guys because yeah yeah right yeah exactly I'm not wishing ill will on you but oh yeah I'm

[00:05:17] not gonna cry when you ask for unemployment and yeah treating people just awful true true yeah you know but um uh you know but I uh as I said as I've said you know uh again ever since

[00:05:33] you messaged me you know like to to to have this to have this talk you know I am both I'm humbled truthfully you know it's like this is very uh I'm excited but uh I'm honored but I'm also very

[00:05:50] humbled by this opportunity to speak with you and we I was doing a snake pliskin hosted week back then as of recording and so there was a lot of instagramers on facebook who actually know

[00:06:04] who that character is they don't just go hey why do you look like a solid snake from middle of your solid uh that's spot because everybody knows that freaking uh Kojima um you know clearly I've never

[00:06:17] I've never played as the game I played as the character super smash butters melee but that's about it but I knew about him and everything and how I was a splinter cell guy but hey same

[00:06:28] way same same you know I grew up playing both games though you know the freaking uh oh hell if you want to do a special on that let's have you back on then sure why not

[00:06:41] you know yeah freaking uh both um you know actually I was introduced to um uh metal gear solid I think it was uh I'm trying to think I was I was born in 1997 so um October 3rd actually my

[00:07:01] birthday was recent I'm 26 now yeah um yeah um I'm trying to think I you know I was I was introduced I was introduced to the I think it was MGS2 if I'm not mistaken I think it was MGS2

[00:07:18] uh when I was like what gosh freaking four years old I think and um wow and uh I think it was like two three years later I played the uh my brother and I were

[00:07:32] actually playing the very first uh splinter cell game so yeah I mean freaking yeah and then you know it's it's it's kind of like you know one of those this character versus this character

[00:07:42] between similarities always gotta be a rivalry man yeah right yeah and but but you know uh back to uh back to but yeah Kojima yeah you know ever you know it's it's quite clear that um Kojima

[00:07:57] again you know it's it's not just it's not just as well it's not just solid snakes look but also the lore in Metal Gear Solid uh that that makes like like it's it's it's basically if if if

[00:08:15] because actually I should say because we never got the um I'm trying to think of the escape the snake pliskin video game because there was a um there was a video game that was going to be about

[00:08:33] the escape from seer movie franchise that we never got so basically yeah oh yeah no and um uh we we were sadly robbed from that similarly to how we were robbed from the Darth Maul video game

[00:08:47] that was said to come out I think yeah what a pain yeah right so yeah pretty much like uh um yeah the Metal Gear Solid games are pretty much the closest thing you can get to playing as

[00:09:04] Kurt Russell as snake pliskin himself and you know which is cool I mean it's it's still cool though yeah but you know it would have been cool if we got that freaking game about playing as him

[00:09:14] you know I mean friggin yeah that would have been great yeah it would have been and uh and um I'm also I should I should uh mention uh that uh where the numbers three four six five come in in my

[00:09:30] Instagram handle name uh is uh if do you remember by any chance do you remember the movie Soldier with Kurt Russell mm-hmm the Blade Runner spinoff yeah oh my god I'm so glad you

[00:09:43] know that I am seriously so glad you know that it's actually getting pretty bigger in years and years to be entertained it's kind of like Waterworld it was kind of the bastard

[00:09:50] child and the whipping boy and now I think yeah exactly yeah it's uh it's a um we filtered out the toxicity is like you can love what you love there's no yeah giving the stink eye if you

[00:10:01] like something anymore I mean I get I get that you know a lot of people didn't like I understand why people didn't like and still don't like that film because it was Paul it was directed

[00:10:14] by Paul W. Sanderson who is known for you know you and like he made the Mortal Kombat movies which from I I uh I have to shamefully admit that I actually haven't ever seen any of those movies but

[00:10:29] uh love what you love dude I feel like half the time we get peer pressured into watching movies we otherwise really have no interest in yeah I I'm not gonna say I don't hate I'm not

[00:10:40] gonna say I hate Paul W. Sanderson but he was known for directing so like the the the the dialogue and whatnot in his movies was like and and all that you know it was like super cheap

[00:10:53] like like typical 1990 like any movie from the 1990s that was really cheesy he was his movies were another one of the you know just added to that line but um but I can honestly say soldier

[00:11:12] um was really uh uh David Webb Peoples who as you know wrote the screenplay for Blade Run the original Blade Runner also wrote the screenplay for Soldier and made it a part of you know like

[00:11:28] they called a sidequel or side sequel to Blade Runner like a movie a series of events that takes place within that universe and if if you're I would imagine you're probably familiar

[00:11:41] with this if you remember um the the uh between between the uh the beginning of the movie and you know the the the the Atom Project babies and you know they're they're taught you know that

[00:11:59] killing is good and you know yeah and then to their training with with with freaking M what I think M16 A2 rifles and um and then of course you know like freaking freaking

[00:12:11] Wyatt Russell you know in the in the one scene where he's uh the all there's all the yeah no no no no is uh his son in oh that was his son back when he was baby oh wow yeah no he

[00:12:24] was 11 years old at the time and and literally looking at him then and like he was literally literally like a mini Kurt Russell you know it's like in the one scene where all the all the

[00:12:34] the the kids are you know like running uh on that path and Wyatt had to flag yeah that that was his son you know like uh uh yeah and uh you know he also in the scene where uh they're doing

[00:12:48] target practice and then of course you know the name uh his his his name his his rank his uh you know or yeah like you know being tattooed on his face and then it goes around his

[00:12:59] the back of his head to Kurt you know in the in the main series of events um it was between the beginning and that scene and the uh it was the scene where

[00:13:12] I'm trying to think uh where you see the screen uh oh man yeah this the screen with his his record and his his combat records uh it said shoulder of Orion tanhouser gate which was also tanhouser

[00:13:27] gate was also tattooed on his arm yeah and his ordinance levels uh USCM smart gun further proving the connection between a blade runner and alien mm-hmm I think some people have also noticed that there's like a yeah destroyed spinner that's those cars yeah well when he when

[00:13:47] he's when he's dumped onto arcadey two through four and um he climbs down the fringon island yeah yeah so yeah a lot of things we will do a valverde saga ranking very soon because if you

[00:14:00] remember if you remember watching blade runner 2049 that sealed the deal on oh they totally took the same kind of landscape in our direction yeah exactly like you know when when uh Kay and Joy

[00:14:12] were flying to the orphanage in the San Diego junkyard you the the you see that the the conastoga class military transport ship emerging from the clouds the same class ship as the stuaco

[00:14:25] and aliens and then in the very next scene you see those uh um uh scram metal disposal haulers as seen in soldier you know it's like in the junkyard yeah so that sealed the deal

[00:14:39] these wars that they mentioned are just as awesome as the various battles and the future scenes in the terminator franchise because you're just like I want to see more of that even though it's just been detailed every day oh yeah yeah yeah although I'm pretty sure

[00:14:53] I'm pretty sure just because uh the hyperdine systems model 1282 was mentioned in aliens I that I think I think that was because that was a james cavernism you know uh essentially yeah fun fact and the original this was trending on reddit recently apparently

[00:15:16] in a original you know how the replicant company in the alien movies is the same as the one the android yeah but apparently in an original draft they were uh they were they were like I guess you're taking competitors in a way essentially it but

[00:15:34] what's the deal for me in this whole connection especially with how the casting crew of the new battle star tried to put in as many Easter eggs for blightrunner by using the same guns and

[00:15:45] oh interesting okay that I actually yeah I've always yeah I've always been I've always been kind of curious about battle star galactic but I hey if there are blade runner like Easter eggs so I'm gonna watch that they use the it's a skin job remarks anytime they're disabling

[00:16:05] sylons but what stills the deal for now is apparently like uh like a Deckard's gun from the original they're they're all almost every single one but wow and what's funny is that a convention ever to almost said when you they were wrapping up season four he's like watch

[00:16:24] the original blightrunner after you're done with our movies that's the that's the real ending to this whole thing I'm like I love you Eddie oh my gosh that's so cool and he's in both so I think

[00:16:36] yeah he plays with the copy doctor's working with at the beginning so it's just funny just seeing this whole extra mazes bill uh James what's his name James uh it's not kind of something but

[00:16:48] yeah it's like oh okay yeah but yeah he played uh as gaff yeah yeah him him yeah I remember okay that's cool I didn't know he was in that yeah yeah very very early role um yeah so

[00:17:12] you'll love this though in the original draft for aliens James Cameron implied that uh bishop was uh created by cyber dime oh okay Skynet companies oh i'm like that oh my

[00:17:27] he couldn't use it do the Congress so he was trying so he was gonna try and merf uh excuse me uh morph um okay yeah that that that doesn't surprise me really someone yeah yeah yeah but um you know uh

[00:17:46] these uh uh back to the uh topic at hand yeah no I mean these are um uh these are the cosplays I want to do these are the two um well first again you know as I said you know uh I'm I'm determined to

[00:20:29] they don't eat them good food or promote exercise so it's just like yeah this doesn't work yeah but yeah yeah you're right um but until I find uh I'm I'm still you know as I said I'm persevering

[00:20:46] and finding some good work and um uh and you know just just save every week spend as little as I can and you know start you know uh go purchase yeah yeah purchasing articles of clothing like uh

[00:21:01] that I actually came across a um uh the the you know obviously replicated uh camouflage pants as worn worn by Kirk and so oh wow yeah yeah the diagonal stripe camo and um but uh there was one

[00:21:21] that that's that I saw that I came across that has belt loops um as opposed to what he wore that didn't have belt loops and I kind of prefer that truth be told because I feel like it would be a more

[00:21:33] formal uh look to to have like a you know like a maybe yeah like a black um combat elder whatever um with with you know the friggin holster with a resin scoped smith and

[00:21:50] western model 67 combat masterpiece and then of course a resin mac 10 45 with uh you know uh yeah I mean I'm I mean obviously it's not gonna house it's not there's not gonna be any uh

[00:22:05] they're they're gonna be not not like you know but I'm just I'm just merely spesed I um I have the uh uh in-movie firearms database uh uh paid bookmarked so I know it's just like

[00:22:21] I want like you know the mark like every whatever like markings labels you know on the friggin you know prop guns you know yeah so um that and of course you know the the the wrist being of the

[00:22:33] I think um he had the uh the time on his left left wrist and then the tracker piece on his right and then of course um unmistakably you know the the one like going back to the uh metal gear solid thing

[00:22:51] you know with solid snake uh uh snake pliskin has the eye patch over his left eye and this uh yeah snake pliskin has the the eye patch over his left eye and solid snake has the eye patch

[00:23:07] over his right eye so that's like the most obvious like obviously noticeable difference you know between both the characters you know yeah it's pretty much how you got into cyber it yeah just something

[00:23:21] to yeah separate it uh when I used my gin costume I was uh basically uh I took an obi one robe and then I took a magnificent uh horns flipped them upside down and then

[00:23:38] oh pants the the uh the jacket of course you know the friggin brown leather jacket uh this zipper the tank top with the zippers and um the boots I'm thinking the boots I might boots are so hard

[00:23:52] to come by yeah no and you know if I gotta make them I will so that way I could um take pride in if you will uh that I at least made one like myself article of

[00:24:09] uh cosplay clothing you know because something something that people are always called something that goes on in the cosplay community sometimes or I don't know how long it takes uh this comes

[00:24:20] by but there are people in the cosplay community who are total assholes you know about like oh you yeah like you bought your freaking uh cosplay clothes you didn't make it I avoid the star wars

[00:24:33] ones just because especially with the whole if you don't get armor made in the UK you're not part of that I'm like I'm not paying an arm and a leg for $5,000 armor I'm gonna twice a year

[00:24:46] you know you gotta it's you know what it is ultimately it's about pragmatism you know you gotta be keeping yeah yeah exactly you gotta be pragmatic you gotta be you know you gotta be wise in you

[00:24:57] know uh you gotta work with what you have you know it's like you work with what you have and um and and there is no like you know real cosplayers you know who who who accept you for like who

[00:25:11] you are whatever or or um well yeah that and and you know like like you know it doesn't matter if your entry level cosplay like like myself you know I'm a I'm an entry level cosplayer at this point

[00:25:24] I I strive I I strive to um you know started but but and again I I'm not saying I'm any better than other starting cosplayers but I because I you know kudos to them too you know kudos

[00:25:41] to them with whatever they have but you know I just think it's I just think it's cool that my my starting cosplay even if I gotta buy the clothes it is freaking Lieutenant SD Snake Plisken you

[00:25:54] know freaking um and and uh somewhere down the line I uh I will see what I can do about making you know my own cosplays one of them one of them actually especially considering that again

[00:26:10] both Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell are now in that new modern arc series yeah the Godzilla yeah yeah I've I am a I am also a diehard Godzilla fan and yeah um I you know I it's it's at this point

[00:26:30] it's wishful thinking but you know I think it would be pretty cool if you know when I say wishful thinking I mean it's definitely going to be in the more distant future than the near future but

[00:26:43] what I aspire to do is make uh you know like like hand make the the new Godzilla you know the new um the newest version of Godzilla the monster from Warner Brothers yeah the mods yeah like the

[00:26:58] the new Godzilla vs King Kong Godzilla um with glowing you know freaking glowing uh scales and eyes and of course like the the the the throat and and you know freaking like I I aspire to

[00:27:17] to make it with uh you know not just lights but lights plus especially you know that is to say lights and a smoke machine or a vapor machine in the mouth for the you know the the an atomic

[00:27:33] breath beam you know it would be me right and not only that but if um there's some way in in any way shape or form I can uh attempt that like if if what I'm what I'm saying is I think it would

[00:27:51] be cool if there was like a high quality stereo speaker you know and like with with with a sound board like like install it somewhere but obviously the speaker in like the the throat area you know like

[00:28:08] the mouth area but the sound board with like a like a really loud high quality speaker for the roar you know I mean like how freaking cool would that be right I mean I thought you would be doing a

[00:28:24] lot of homework but yeah no doubt yeah but I mean like as I said you know I mean like as of right now it's wishful thinking and it's but but in the distant future I I I you know if I put my mind to it

[00:28:37] you know and uh to everybody out there you know if um uh if you can put your mind you know if you put your mind to whatever what it is you want to do with your life whether it's um no matter what
