[00:01:18] Another slasher movie franchise. All another horror movie saga.

[00:02:17] We are talking about the Friday the 13-esque, inspired Bloody Murder.

[00:02:23] The UK has this as Scream Bloody Murder.

[00:02:27] And it was produced by both Lionsgate under their Artisan label, New City Releasing and Mainline.

[00:02:35] The latter, which is known for a lot of their Skinamax, you know, softcore, frillers and movies.

[00:02:42] But they would occasionally mix in cop and murder subplots.

[00:02:47] Make it be, you know, a part action mystery movie mixed in with psycho-frillers and sex.

[00:02:56] And this essentially is much the same kind of thing.

[00:03:00] Some people have found it to be too much like Scream because there's a lot of meta, breaking the fourth wall, humor.

[00:03:07] Either way, these are just laid back fun.

[00:03:10] I was looking at a lot of these actors and it's like, yeah, they pretty much all did only just independent and straight to TV movies.

[00:03:19] And one of them I was like, yeah, he's been in a bunch of Skinamax films.

[00:03:23] I can't find his name, but I've seen this motherfucker's face.

[00:03:28] But all in all, some people found them boring.

[00:03:32] That's about right.

[00:03:35] It's just they're pretty much just 10 little Indians, but at a camping resort and

[00:03:43] it's nothing to write home about.

[00:03:46] But you ask most slasher fans or video store guys who just leaked out anything similar to this, they'll tell you these are fun movies.

[00:03:55] And they make up for their lack of originality by just being fast paced.

[00:03:59] And again, everybody looks like they had a fun time.

[00:04:03] The camera angles aren't bad, not remarkable by any stretch, which says a lot.

[00:04:08] Because you can find plenty of good camera work that elevates other B pictures.

[00:04:14] But this is pretty comfortable just getting straight to just the kills and showering and sacksipades and adventure and hiking.

[00:04:29] Everybody listen up.

[00:04:30] We've got a lot of work over the next few days before we lock this place down.

[00:04:34] So what's tonight's mischief?

[00:04:36] How about a game?

[00:04:37] A blood murder.

[00:04:39] Oh, actually, I think I'm going to pass.

[00:04:44] Tracy's brother Jason disappeared up here about five years ago.

[00:04:47] The locals claim it was Trevor Morehouse.

[00:04:52] Trevor Morehouse is just some fictitious local psychopath to get cameras very funny dickhead.

[00:04:58] I don't know what I'm thinking.

[00:05:07] You're not dealing with some Johnny-come-lately-camp psychopath.

[00:05:11] I just everybody pretty much does what they've been paid to do.

[00:05:18] And the California scenery is nice.

[00:05:22] But either way, like, these made it into even just being mentioned in various slasher and psycho thriller and horror movie review books.

[00:05:38] So that says a lot.

[00:05:39] If you can actually be critiqued and reevaluated by different film scholars, that's something.

[00:05:51] But yeah, I mean, it's basically a skin of action movie with some slasher fare that elevates it from a 2 a.m. goofy movie to at least a 10 p.m. romp.

[00:06:05] You know, you could watch this was more than one person without pissing off the boyfriend or girlfriend saying, hey, you're watching porn.

[00:06:12] I'm like, okay, well, it's got those elements.

[00:06:15] But I applaud any studio that wanted to do something different for a change.

[00:06:21] Most of the crew has pretty much worked on all kinds of different movies, but wasn't offensive, really got straight to it.

[00:06:30] And there was a third movie that's basically an unofficial sequel and regurgitation of a masked killer with a chainsaw called The Graveyard.

[00:06:40] You ready to face your demons, Jack?

[00:06:43] What was that?

[00:06:45] His head and his hands were missing.

[00:06:48] This is a mistake.

[00:06:49] We shouldn't be here, you guys.

[00:06:52] Come up, come up, wherever you are!

[00:06:55] Hello?

[00:06:57] Who's there?

[00:07:07] Graveyard is buried here.

[00:07:11] I saw that there was a fourth movie in some market.

[00:07:17] I could neither find it, nor did I see what it really had to do with it, so I think that's just typical marketing PR crap.

[00:07:24] All three of these, you know, Bloody Murder 1 and 2, and The Graveyard, all we're seeing, gonna be light entertainment.

[00:07:32] Enjoy it.

[00:07:33] And not the most offensive thing you've seen either, which says a lot, because many of these other movies by these kinds of companies tend to be just hit and miss,

[00:07:43] or only for just naughty films, and to see them actually do something with some actual meat on its bones.

[00:07:51] That's still goofy popcorn, but involving.

[00:07:54] That's pretty cool and says a lot.

[00:07:56] So, check them out.
