It's time to close out the week with JJ & Tom summing up the works of Andy Sidaris in this minisode.
How was this Michael Bay ON A BUDGET in the '80s?
What do you get when you put together James Bond cheese, bimbos, Miami Vice cops, Martial Artists & more from a sports TV director?
Why does such trash appeal to even the most bad movie-resistant crowd?

[00:00:08] Sometimes we get so deep into conversation that we have separate segments worthy of their
[00:00:14] own place in the sun.
[00:00:18] Here is a reshuffled mini episode.
[00:00:26] Here's the thing, like we're gonna go off a little tangent here on SkinnaMax but I
[00:00:30] remember SinnaMax showing all these really funny movies too, they just had to have sex
[00:00:37] scenes in them.
[00:00:38] Absolutely and half the time you're like this is a safer American pie but then they've
[00:00:44] stretched it out to just even more outrageous, private eyes, paying attention to people.
[00:00:52] I once had the fortune of talking to producer Beverly Gray who used to work for Roger Corman
[00:00:57] and worked a few times with the one and only Andrew Stevens, the franchise media.
[00:01:05] And he told her wacky stories about making those night eyes movies apparently since
[00:01:09] he was directing them half the time, half the time he was directing them while wearing
[00:01:13] only a sock.
[00:01:15] Oh god yeah I remember like what's your name?
[00:01:18] Kathy Shower who was the 86 queen?
[00:01:21] Kathy Shower yeah.
[00:01:22] Kathy Shower.
[00:01:23] She's like a couple of those movies.
[00:01:25] Shannon Dory did a couple.
[00:01:28] Yeah.
[00:01:29] We had a Blair did one or two.
[00:01:31] I mean I just remember like Randy Spears would be in some of these creature features
[00:01:36] on the end of the movie, Southcore ones but it was always funny how yes like half the
[00:01:41] time they were just like a Roger Corman type creature feature and then other times
[00:01:44] it was just like a very just distorted movie.
[00:01:48] Some of them would even be meta half the time where there's mayhem going on
[00:01:52] and a closed off film set who was killing the directors of Starlets and you're like
[00:01:56] and you're just like what and then it was even weirder when you'd see modified versions
[00:02:00] of these on like Joe Bob or USA up all night.
[00:02:04] Well, the one that always got me were the Andy Sederis movies.
[00:02:09] Yep.
[00:02:10] And I'll say this about him.
[00:02:12] I mean, you know granted, you know, it was all bullets babes, bullets, bombs
[00:02:17] and babes.
[00:02:19] Yep.
[00:02:20] And this the guy worked for ABC Sports mind you, you know, yep.
[00:02:26] He knew what to, you know, those movies, you know, what was it Tennessee Buck?
[00:02:33] Hard to get Hawaii Picasso trigger.
[00:02:35] I'm trying to think what else he did.
[00:02:38] You know, it's like, you know, he's like, OK, I'll get Playboy playmates.
[00:02:43] I'll get some really good looking guys.
[00:02:45] I have a great idea for a story.
[00:02:48] We're filming somewhere tropical.
[00:02:50] We'll show a lot of tits, a lot of ass and you know, and people and people will like it.
[00:02:56] So, you know, if you watch, if you read about him as a filmmaker, the first movie
[00:03:02] he does is a remake of a Billy Dee Williams movie called ticked.
[00:03:08] Was it not ticked?
[00:03:09] I was called.
[00:03:10] No, no, it was called a seven with William Smith.
[00:03:14] That's right.
[00:03:14] But it was.
[00:03:15] But it was a remake of a Billy Dee Williams movie called tick or something like that.
[00:03:22] Look, oh, hit, I think.
[00:03:24] Hit, hit, right?
[00:03:26] Where they have to kill all the drug lords within like an hour.
[00:03:29] Yes.
[00:03:30] Okay.
[00:03:30] This one and it but it's what's awesome is just.
[00:03:34] Pretty original considering they got very limited shooting days.
[00:03:39] And like you say, he just has a broadcasting background.
[00:03:42] Yeah.
[00:03:43] So he filmed it like a, like a TV movie.
[00:03:45] Yeah.
[00:03:46] You know, and he had William Smith in there.
[00:03:48] He had Art Mitrano.
[00:03:50] I remember who else did he have in there that I fucking know.
[00:03:54] So many playmates.
[00:03:56] And then sometimes he would have.
[00:04:01] Yes.
[00:04:01] And then the karate guy in there, Ed.
[00:04:04] Ed Parker was a Parker. Yeah.
[00:04:06] Okay.
[00:04:07] Parker the guy from, from, uh,
[00:04:11] from the founder of Kimpo Karate music.
[00:04:13] Yeah.
[00:04:14] They got Kimpo Karate.
[00:04:15] Yeah. Right.
[00:04:16] So fun fact.
[00:04:17] He trained Chuck Norris, Robert Cope, Elvis Presley of all people.
[00:04:23] Benny the jet.
[00:04:24] Danny Noisanto who's Bruce Lee's, you know,
[00:04:27] protege and Jeff speak me up.
[00:04:31] But yeah, some of those movies could be really boring and other
[00:04:34] times they could be kind of fun.
[00:04:35] And when you realize how some of those people also worked on,
[00:04:39] I mean,
[00:04:39] Ed himself even worked on some of the lesser Blake Edwards,
[00:04:43] Pink Panther movies,
[00:04:44] same kind of deal kind of where it's all.
[00:04:46] Yeah.
[00:04:47] James Bond plot meets Miami Vice.
[00:04:50] Yeah.
[00:04:50] And when he went,
[00:04:52] but he was there putting that on too, on cinema,
[00:04:54] actually lead or no showtime.
[00:04:55] They put it on showtime late at night.
[00:04:57] Yeah.
[00:04:58] And then I forgot what else they had there.
[00:05:02] But it was like, Holy fuck dude,
[00:05:04] I couldn't believe you know they were doing these movies.
[00:05:07] We'll return after these messages.
[00:05:45] Welcome to the Better Call Daddy show,
[00:05:47] the number one podcast where we admit no matter what happens,
[00:05:50] daddy has the advice we need to fix our problems.
[00:05:53] Introducing my dad, Mr. Wayne Friedman.
[00:05:56] That was good.
[00:05:57] It would be nice if you could also sing a song.
[00:05:59] What would the song be?
[00:06:00] You love Paris in the springtime.
[00:06:01] I just made up some words to it.
[00:06:03] I love Rina in the springtime.
[00:06:06] I love Rina in the fall.
[00:06:08] That's right.
[00:06:09] That's good enough.
[00:06:11] What I do is interview people of interest,
[00:06:13] share it with my dad and get my dad's advice.
[00:06:16] My dad is my hero.
[00:06:18] Nobody has got my daddy.
[00:06:19] Oh boy.
[00:06:20] Let's go to grandpa.
[00:06:21] You like to be a little rebel.
[00:06:23] I tried to reign you in.
[00:06:24] I have a daughter named Rina that acts just like I did.
[00:06:27] She's got a son that is not only just like me,
[00:06:31] but it's just like her.
[00:06:33] I'm your host, Rina Friedman-Wines.
[00:06:35] Invite your friends, subscribe,
[00:06:37] and I'm excited to take this journey with you.
[00:06:38] Let's dive in.
[00:06:39] She was teasing the sky with a sword,
[00:06:42] and she accidentally cut his dick.
[00:06:44] Oh my God, I'm dying.
[00:06:45] And then he started to enjoy it.
[00:06:47] I started going down the phone sex rabbit hole.
[00:06:49] You've got the wankers,
[00:06:50] and you jerk off in five seconds,
[00:06:52] and then they're done
[00:06:52] because A, they don't want to spend money,
[00:06:54] and B, they're quick.
[00:06:55] My stepfather, Hamania,
[00:06:56] if I'm yelling at one of my kids,
[00:06:58] that fear, that rigid fear.
[00:06:59] Mom even said to me,
[00:07:01] I hope you have a kid just like you.
[00:07:04] There are lots of people
[00:07:06] that are being bought and sold right now for profit.
[00:07:09] If you think you're going to kill yourself,
[00:07:10] shut up and kill yourself.
[00:07:11] If you're not going to kill yourself,
[00:07:12] then shut up, smart enough,
[00:07:13] and it's all on you.
[00:07:14] The bullshit has to end.
[00:07:15] Wow.
[00:07:16] When I was 11 years old,
[00:07:18] I was raped and molested
[00:07:19] over the course of a year.
[00:07:21] What Jeffrey Epstein had
[00:07:22] was a sickness inside of him.
[00:07:25] I am Evan Castrioli Carmichael.
[00:07:27] I could do anything that I believed that I can.
[00:07:29] I'm so excited too. Let's go.
